Araluen was peeking at the tavern watching the people walk in and out of it trying to find an easy pick-pocket target, when he saw a someone who looked familar. He swam to the shore of where the tavern was and transformed his blue fin into a pair of bright blue skinny jeans and ran into the tavern. He looked around the room until he saw Torne. He ran up and smacked his friend on the back of the head. "When did you get out?" he asked, slightly angry that Torne didn't even try to contact him.

Araluen had to look up at Torne. Oh my, he had gotten tall since he was thirteen. Torne had to be at least five inches taller than him now.. "Are you serious you Dunderfin? You seriously don't remember me?" he asked, his voice slightly quivering at the beastly growl and tone.

Araluen felt the edges of anger get back to him. "Yeah it's me, and don't call me guppy." his face tinged slightly pink, but you wouldn't be able to tell unless you looked closely. "When did you get out?" he asked, sitting down in the seat across from Torne.

Araluen smiled nervously at the Harpy girl. He placed a hand on Torne's shoulder. "C-calm down. It was just an accident Dunderfin." he said, trying to calm his bestfriend down. "And I understand why...I guess." he mumbled, his bright green eyes looking at the table instead of his friend as he retracted his hand. "A-anyway, are you ok miss?" he tried to sound polite, but it came off as sarcastic.

Araluen flinched slightly as he stood up and leaned over the table. "Calm down Tore. It was just an accident. And besides, would you really want me to call you Tore in front of everybody?" he whispered before sitting back down.

Araluen let out a shakey sigh of relief as he saw he wasn't going to have to take Torne on the run for murder. "He looked around the tavern, and saw a multitude of people in here. Most of them water elfs. But one really stuck out. He was just sitting there watching people. He wondered if he should tell Torne about him but decided against it. Last thing he needed was for Torne to get riled up again.

Araluen looked to Torne. "I'll be right back." he said as he got up from the table and walked over to Ictus. "Um...Hi." he said nervously. "Eh...I noticed you were staring at us and I was wondering if something was wrong?" He felt really foolish for this and he wouldn't be surprised if Torne decided to smack him for acting so foolish.

Araluen shook his head. "It's no problem." he said, his human legs feeling uncomfortable, unlike his fin. "Just wouldn't want you to get bitten off more than what he could chew!" Araluen started laughing at his own joke.

Araluen smiled and looked back to Torne. "Maybe you should come join us. I'm sure Torne might be a little sore with me for bringing a stranger back to the table, but he did say he needed to readjust to humanity." he whispered the last part to himself as he walked back to his and Torne's table.

Araluen looked down at the table, knowing Torne was mad at him and flinched at the growl. "You're welcome." he said softly, taking a glass of water that was on the table and just stared at it.

Araluen smiled, his green eyes shining as Torne tried to be friendly. He took a sip of the drink, his human legs feeling tingly from being in use for so long.

Araluen glared at Torne for using the nickname...again. "Really?" he said. His legs were feeling uncomfortable again. "Not a swim, but I don't want to freak people out with the tail and stuff." he whispered the last part to Torne, taking another sip of water as he sat down. "Oh and my name is Araluen." he said to Ictus.

Araluen chuckled as well and switched in his human legs for his blue, shiny tail. "Oh man, this feels so much better." he said, smiling a little bit more and feeling more relaxed now. "My muscles were starting to cramp up from using human legs." he laughed some more taking a deep drought from his water. "Nice to meet you Ictus."

Araluen looked at Torne. "Is something wrong?" he asked, his green eyes filled with concern for his friend. "You are going to get plastered if you keep drinking like a fish." he tried to keep in his chuckles at his own joke but had to place a hand over his mouth to try and muffle the sound.

Araluen placed a hand under his chin, the bottom fins on his tail flipping up and down. He then had a thought. "Is there any places that you missed or wanted to go to while you were away?" his eyes looking into Torne's own yellow ones.

Araluen remembered when Torne moved away. "A lot of things changed when you left. You probably didn't hear about it, but two years after you...left...my parents died." his green eyes dulled slightly with the memories. "I survived with what you taught me in those years before, so I really gotta say thank you." He smiled slightly at Torne. He turned to Ictus. "You are awfully quite you know." Araluen was a talkative guy and he didn't like too much silence.

Araluen shrugged. "It's ok. You didn't know." his tail flipped up and down again. "So, any thoughts on where you would like to go?

Araluen smiled. "A swim would be nice....but I don't know where either. I haven't been home since the funeral." he suddenly thought of something. "I bet you don't even know how old I am now. You missed many birthday's my friend."

Araluen smiled, but then looked to Ictus...it would be rude to leave him out...but he also wanted to spend time with Torne. He felt conflicted and was sure it showed on his face. He switched from his fin to his human legs and stood up, a little wobbly, but still able to walk. He didn't know if he should ask Ictus to join or not.

Araluen heard a scream somewhere not to far from the tavern and ran out the door trying to find the source. He saw Beibhinn being held hostage my a Kou-toa. He couldn't risk a shot with his spellchanter ability. He might hit Hinn...He saw a spot where he could run around the trio and try and attack the Kou-toa from behind. But he would have to be very careful.

Araluen he hadn't known this girl very well, but he was weird like that and nobody should be put in this position. He sneaked his way around the Kuo-toa and smacked him on the back of the head. He grabbed its wrist and tried to pull them away from Hinn so that she could get away. Using his spellchanter was still too dangerous. Torne would probably scold him for being so foolish later, but he felt it would be worth it to make sure a scum bag like this didn't hurt an innocent person.

Araluen casted a freezing spellchant on the Kuo-toa. "It's not wise to turn your back on your enemy, or to leave any open spots to where you can be stopped." he said coldly, moving away to go check on Beibhinn. "Are you ok?" he asked worriedly.

Araluen stepped back and let Achstrom check on Beibhinn. He could tell when a man had feelings for somebody, for the most part and smiled at the two while letting his legs change into his fin and dipped it into the water that was close by. He sighed contently at having his fin back and not using those uncomfortable legs. He didn't know how others could stand it.

Araluen was swimming in the waters around the tavern. The water was just the right temperature and it felt oh so good. He let out a sigh of contentment. Torne had disappeared yesterday and he had been searching for him for most of the night. He decided to stick close to the tavern in case he decided to show up there again.
