♦ INTRODUCTION ♦

It was the Goddess of Equipoise who created the three dimensions, Aurae, Inferno, and Earth. Aurae followed by Inferno were her first creations, but the powers of the angels and the demons were hard to balance on their own, so in order to maintain the separation of the worlds, the Earth was formed as a buffer between the two. At the height of her power, the Goddess maintained the barrier between worlds and kept all but the most powerful and high ranked angels and demons from venturing beyond their boundaries.

The Goddess kept balance amongst the dimensions for countless years, until thirst for power of a particular family in Aurae began to corrupt the once pure dimension. The corruption of the holy realm weakened the Goddess and the barriers broke down, opening rifts that allowed any angel or demon to venture to Earth. A war broke out as the opposing forces met, a battle between angels and demons in which some fought for power and others for peace.

Seeing that this war was tearing apart the worlds and knowing that she no longer had the power to carry on, the Goddess broke herself apart and placed her remaining power into creating two Primordiums – one embodying Aurae and one embodying Inferno. These two beings closed the rifts and set in place barriers that could only be broken in their death. The Goddess’s final words warned any who would try to destroy their own Primordium; if anyone of the same race destroys their representative Primordium, all of their kind will be destroyed.

To the victimized citizens of Earth, wracked with the destruction of a war not their own, the Goddess left them a warning prophecy and bid them prepare for the day their world would be threatened again: “From the mergence of the greatest powers of Aurae and Inferno would come a creature that would break down the barriers, draw together the Primordiums and bring the Earth to the brink of destruction. But this creature will be the only one capable of achieving Equipoise and restoring true balance.”

Thousands of years later, the Satan who rules Inferno and the once great Seraphim who ruled Aurae met on Earth, fell in love, and, against all laws of the worlds, conceived a child. Made up of components of both Aurae and Inferno, the child’s existence created a paradox that weakened the barriers and opened rifts once again. Unable to exist in either world, the child had to remain on Earth, unaware of what she was to protect her from those who would aim to destroy her and restore the barriers.

Now, nearly old enough to understand what she is, the child attends True Cross Academy, a school secretly dedicated to preparing to face the horrors of the prophecy. Angels and demons are already on the move, motivated by their own ends, the war between Aurae and Inferno threatens to begin again.

♦ SETTINGS ♦

♔ Aurae ♔

Upholding righteousness and duty, Aurae is a land of pristine order and a strictly aristocratic social structure. Order is strictly maintained by the overarching power of the Seraphim, a holy leader who is voted into power by a council of the eldest influential angels. The city sectors are populated by roads and small buildings, the majority being houses and gathering places as there is no need for commerce, are all built up with the same interweaving of gold decorated bricks. The roads are a collection of bleached cobblestones, smoothed by use over time. Night is unknown to Aurae, which is endlessly lit by an unchanging wispy white sky with no specific origin of light and only slight fluctuations to mark the time set aside for rest. The harsh whites are broken up only by the vibrant flowers grown in garden courtyards scattered generously throughout the realm.

♛ Inferno ♛

Despite its name’s reputation, Inferno is quite the opposite. There are nine circles of Hell that are more web-like in structure, the circles shooting out from a central realm where Satan resides. Three circles cluster around another central realm where a Prince resides. A loose hierarchy is in place where Satan is the ruler and is advised by the Three Princes. Although it was originally called Hell but after the war for unknown reasons their worlds name was changed to Inferno in hopes to relieve the tension that arose when one thought of Hell (Inferno). However because of the current Satan’s previous acts as Satan has led to opposing parties to gain favor and grow in number. There are those who wish to destroy Satan as well as his ideals but there are also the few who stand with Satan on his ideals of unifying the worlds.

✝ Earth: True Cross Academy, Fidel City ✝

The moderately sized city of Fidel is built around True Cross Academy, the northern district is more suburban and has parks, the malls and businesses are on the eastside and as you go further away from the school the area’s slowly turn to a more rural sense. It is currently the late fall and all of Cram school is taking the entrance exam to becoming an Exwire.

True Cross academy is overall a large school made up of three buildings. The main building being the school itself which makes up most of the size put together. It sports a Japanese theme exterior and interior design. One section of the school is dedicated to all of the clubs which is further divided into smaller sections for the smaller division, one of the more notable and large of the sections being the sports clubs. Of course the school has its own courts and indoor/outdoor swimming pool, track field and three gymnasiums.

The second largest building that is to the left of the Academy is the housing facility. As its name states, this building is specifically for those who chose to live on campus if they didn’t meet certain requirements to live at home (being too far, living alone(optional)) unless your parents thought it better to keep you on campus then at home.

And finally the last building which is also the smaller of the three; Cram school which is in some ways a bit rundown, mainly due to the fact that it being a cram school is just a front. The true reason behind this building is that it holds night classes for exorcists in trainings otherwise known as exwires.

♔ Angels ♔

Believing themselves the supreme good justice of the three worlds, the embodiment of goodness, they generally look down on humanity and demons with a sense of pride and superiority. The rankings of angels in Aurae are organized into a strict hierarchy. Upward mobility is often the leading life goal of many citizens. The classes can be ascended through proving one’s skills and loyalty in battle or in impressively fulfilling the duties of one’s current class. Classes are not inherited from parents, but it cannot be denied that those with well-known parents receive more attention and thusly gain faster recognition for their work. Ascension of class is dictated by the Seraphim either through personal observation or based on suggestions from archangels she trusts. The Seraphim is also able to strip angels of class and power as a disciplinary tool.
Rewards of gaining higher classes include the ability to make a pact with any form of creature to summon as a familiar, an increased number of wings, and greater capability to make a pact with a holy weapon to summon as desired.

{First Class} Powers: Members of this station are top advisors of the Seraphim, generals, mainly remaining in Aurae. As well as advising, Powers organize and command Archangels. They are rewarded with the option of having two pairs of wings. They can summon a familiar and up to three weapons. They also have the special ability to sense the presence of an individual angel at any distance as long as they are in the same realm, and can create temporary portals between Earth and Aurae at will. At close range they can keep tabs on up to ten angels, being aware of any injury they sustain. They are the fastest, strongest, and are privileged with knowledge the Seraphim keeps from others.

{Second Class} Principalities: Acting in a sense as captains, Principalities are responsible for creating military groups out of their selection of Archangels and leading missions to Earth. Their opinions and ideas are considered by the upper classes are valued, but it is unlikely they will address the Seraphim directly. They have a certain level of power to give orders, but large plans require approval. They are rewarded with larger wings and can summon a familiar and up to two different weapons. Beginning in close proximity, they are able to form a link with up to five angels and can then track their location and communicate orders. They fly faster than the lesser classes and have sharper sight to oversee battle.

{Third Class} Archangels: Archangels act as valued members of military, specially selected soldiers. They are not allowed to give orders unless the Principality dies on mission, but they are powerful enough to act on their own if necessary. No wing change is rewarded for this level, but they can summon a familiar and up to two different weapons. They are faster and stronger than common angels.

♛ Demons ♛

The king of Inferno, Satan is merely a title given to the current demon who rules over Inferno. The title can only be given to the “winner” of Eligendo (Latin for Tournament) by the Relic, the source of Satan’s power. Satan rules Inferno with an iron fist and is the first demon of such a high title to have loved an Angel and the Seraphim at that. Political ties have been shaky due to this scandalous act but none can truly go against the word of Satan. He acts as the guardian to the Relic making sure nothing bad happens to it and over all oversees all of Inferno.

{Demons;} Demons; spirits of evil, violence and darkness, all demons originate from Infernos and obey Satan. Though they originate from Infernos often times they will walk among the earth in human form or possess the body of another. Most demons hate Angels and devour the souls of those they possess over time therefore becoming stronger. But even in human form certain aspects of the human anatomy will be off. For example sharper canines, pointed ears or perhaps even a tail or small horns.

There are two types of demons, those that are told in story books and those that humans and Angels alike have called devils; Superior Demons. These demons are capable of a humanoid form and capable of intellectual thought unlike their savage brethren, lesser demons. Superior Demons have enough power to go to the human world though they have to have permission from Satan to do so. Superior Demons get around by passing through a gate in Satan’s Circle where the other end of the gate appears wherever they wish to go to, although there are a few places demons aren’t allowed to enter such as holy ground (i.e Churches)

There are three demons that every demon in Inferno simply could not know, The Three Princes. Also known as The Three Pillars of Hell, they are the next strongest Demons in the realm as well as candidates for the title of Satan. Each of them are of equal strength but each prince is different. They act as the overseer of Inferno with all Nine circles of Hell spilt between the three of them. Whichever circles the Prince watches over is part of their personalities or a weakness of sorts, each hold two traits of the Seven Sins most often associated with their Circles. Usually only one Demon Prince goes to the human world at a time though there have been a few instances when all three go to the human world but only during critical moments. The Demon Princes are the only demons aside form Satan who have their own gates to the human world and appear wherever they wish to go to however they must inform Satan of their leave though this rule is not always followed. However if a Prince were to leave Inferno they are often forced to limit the amount of spiritual power they are allowed access to. Meaning demons with strong spiritual power are told/forced to wear collars or some sort of accessory that unless broken, limits the amount of power they use. Mainly due to the fact that they often destroy things too quickly and it allows them to pass as human if they wish to or to even go under the radar of an angel.

There are also common demons who are Superior but do not hold flashy titles such as Prince or Satan. Under the jurisdiction of a Demon Prince they often have a single trait relating to the Circle of Hell they came from. They make up the army of a Demon Prince and must follow orders; not doing so can lead to death. There are usually two common demons who serve directly under a Prince acting as their body guards or personal servants.

{Lesser demons} don’t have the ability or the access to travel between the worlds. Lesser demons go to the human world via a summoning circle or if a Superior Demon brings them along. Animalistic in nature lesser demons think of nothing but causing havoc around themselves. They are often called upon as familiars by exorcists in the human world. However due to their destructive nature and being a demon from Inferno whoever summons them must be able to control them least they turn on their master.

✝ Exorcists ✝

Exorcists were created to prepare for the impending return of demons and spiritual creatures, as well as dealing with any who are strong enough to come through the barrier, but not all exorcists are only anti-demon, but also anti-angel. Religious sorts, anti-demon, pro-angel. So there is a tension between people who want to free the world of evil demons, and those who want to free the world from any kind of otherworldly interference. And being a school for exorcists in the end the chancellor of the school along with a few other high class exorcists have made sure that barriers are set in place to keep lesser demons from entering school grounds. Unfortunately the barrier doesn’t help much in preventing spiritual creatures with malevolent intent from surfacing within the school grounds.

Each exorcist specializes in the way they exorcise a demon/ spiritual creature and even fewer know of how to “exorcise angels”. The first title they are given before becoming an Exorcist, the individual begins as a Page, learning the most basic elements of exorcism and demonology. The next rank is an Exwire, a rank that is above a Page. To become an Exwire, a Page must pass the Exwire Authorization Exam. The exam consists of the Pages secretly being put to a test of defeating a demon by working together; the exam also tests which Meister a Page categorizes in. Exwires usually do menial jobs like cleaning a demon's cage, and helping to collect samples, etc. However, they still study Demonology.

Essentially the most basic qualification for any aspiring exorcist, the term meister refers to the particular combat skill(s) an exorcist possesses. While many choose to specialize in only one area of combat, it is possible to obtain a meister in more than one category. There are four categories of meister:

{Tamer:} Exorcists who can summon and control lesser demons/spiritual creatures to fight. These beings are called 'familiars '. In order to summon a familiar, a magic circle is needed; it can be drawn on the ground or on paper, or even tattooed onto the Exorcist's skin. The meister then draws their blood onto the magic circle and recites any words that come into mind. However, if the magic circle is erased or torn (on paper), it loses its effect and the familiar disappears. It has been noted that the talent to be a Tamer is rare, since sheer spiritual fortitude is needed to tame the being; natural talent is also essential. However, if the Tamer lacks confidence, the familiar will attack the meister. Tamers can summon more than one familiar at a time and multiple Tamers may summon a single powerful being.

{Knight:} A meister who uses a sword to fight. Meisters that have the title of "Knight" are shown to use demon blades as their weapons though it is rare to find ones of good quality. However there are few who choose this meister as it requires one to fight in close-quarter combat.

{Dragoon:} Meisters that fight using guns. Dragoons are notable in that they fight using modern weaponry as compared to the Knights and Aria. Within this field, exorcists can fight using anything from handguns to rifles.

{Aria:} Many demons have weak points known as a "Fatal Verse", in which an exorcist recites a specific passage from holy scripts that could potentially cause their death. An Aria fights by finding a demon's "Fatal Verse" and recites holy texts effectively, ranging from the Bible to other holy scriptures. Arias must have a talent in memorizing, however they are completely defenseless; as soon as they begin to recite the demon's "Fatal Verse", the demon will attack the meister to stop the recital. There are two types of exorcisms, one that banishes whatever creature back to their own world, and one that destroys them entirely and only highly trained individuals can perform the destruction exorcism and more often than not the retrieval of said verse is dangerous.

2) This is a literate RP. Expected frequency of posts will be one a week, so please take your time to observe proper grammar and aim for at least 600 words in length. If we notice that you are constantly misspelling words or use incorrect grammar in a way that shows a lack of care, we will ask that you leave should you not be willing to put in the proper effort.

3) Please do not join if you think you might not be able to keep up or if you’re the type to go half way then leave. If I think that is the kind of player you are, I will not hesitate to remove you from the role play after two weeks has passed without informing us of your absence.

4) Check OOC’s regularly and make sure you are doing what it asks for (if anything) before you post, or for anything in general. That way you don’t end up doing something completely against what I had asked for in the OOC and then you’re stuck with a GM who is irritated thinking that you ignored what she said.

5) Swearing I know is a habit most of you have. I do it myself but I can't expect you to suddenly go cold turkey can I? Just please censor yourself. I would appreciate minimal cursing, if you must cuss at all. And please no f-bombs or anything of that serious degree =w=;

6) God-mode is inactive. If you are going to control another's character I need that character's owner to tell me in OCC just so it's official, that or pm if you must. If I think you are god-modding I will remove you from the role-play should you ignore my first warnings.

7) I am not new to role-playing. I have been role-playing for a decent amount of time and although I do not consider myself anywhere near professional, characters are to be as detailed as possible. This is a given to most role-plays and if you cannot give me details via a character sheet, how do I know you will be able to put out in the role-play? This might seem unfair or whatever, but all I ask is that you give me details. And please, for the love that is all, do not create a Mary-sue/Gary-stu. I know that it can be a bit difficult to not create one, but please do refrain from doing so. If I suspect a Mary Sue is in our midst, I will warn you once about the areas that need correction and if they are not fixed after that then I’ll have to insist you leave.

8) Please obey the rules I have set up and we shouldn’t have a problem. If, for any reason a rule cannot be obeyed, or you find yourself in a conflicting situation, remove yourself from it or ask for assistance. I do not bite and I am more than willing to lend a hand should you ask for it.

9) Remember who the GM’s are in this role play. Our word is law, if you can’t handle someone giving you truthful feedback that ends up asking that you change a lot, then do not join this role-play. Which leads to any and all edits asked of you or when to clarify something better in the OOC. That way future readers won’t be confused on what’s going on if they didn’t read the OOC posts.

10) When reserving a character please list what spot you will be taking and the gender of said character. To prove that you have read these rules please add to which side you will be on. Black for Polaris, White for Kuro and Grey for both and an animal of your choice that has not been used. Once character is complete please inform us in the correct thread with a link to said character so both of us may have a look.

Fear gripped her heart as things went from doable to absolutely, down right, awful. One moment she was chanting a verse that weakened the thing the next more demons appeared. For a fleeting moment the thought of any of the teachers helping crossed her mind when she realized that this was it. Truly her team was on her own, and they would die this way if something doesn't get done. Hearing the Cap shout for someone (99.98% chance her) to move out of the way and run caught her attention. Only like hell would she, they were a team. Digging around her memory for something that could weaken all of them Eve just continued chanting the light verse keeping the spirt thing busy. Then running over to the now extremely weakened verse she switched tactics.

Sure she knew that she wasn't good for much but she could do something, feeling like she had a grip on a more powerful verse she grounded herself as she took in a breath and cried in latin Genesis 33:20 "et erecto ibi altari invocavit super illud Fortissimum Deum Israhel" While the effect wasn't as powerful as she would have liked Eve did acknowledge that for a "in general" verse it did quite a bit of damage. Most of the demons, if not all became a tad more sluggish and the accuracy missed, as for the spirt thing it was still reeling in pain from the last verse. So continuously she repeated that verse to give the captains awe inspiring lion and majestic stallion a fighting chance. However another verse was a bit more fitting so switching to a different one she chanted the 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 "in carne enim ambulantes non secundum carnem militamus, nam arma militiae nostrae non carnalia sed potentia Deo ad destructionem munitionum consilia destruentes,et omnem altitudinem extollentem se adversus scientiam Dei et in captivitatem redigentes omnem intellectum in obsequium Christi, et in promptu habentes ulcisci omnem inoboedientiam cum impleta fuerit vestra oboedientia." Holy freaking hell was it long but it did it's job. The verse was by no means the fatal verse, however it was damning to the demons as they cried out in pain and suffering.

A small smirk appeared at the edge of Eve's lips, she had them right when they realized she was the source of their sufferings. Starting the longest verse she has ever rushed yet again, Eve looked to the Cap and bit her lip for a moment. He was dwindling and them some, the lion and stallion were doing absolutely excellent only for how much longer. Wishing vehemently for this to end up like a movie or something, when something convenient appeared magically right when it was needed. Alas that wasn't to be the case, and all Eve knew was that she had to move him or something would happen. So attempting to pick him up was just going to end awful but staying in the open would kill them. Feeling a bit guilty for her last resort she dragged him, wishing the words sorry could be said, but they couldn't as the damn verse needed to constantly be spoken. Feeling her mouth dry up and her arms tire from dragging him a few meters Eve wanted to just say f- it and let the teachers deal with this. Only life doesn't work that way and she managed to get them somewhat covered behind some rest stop shelter bathroom thing. Taking in a breath for a moment she just let her head rest on the wall. She was out of hearing range, and she did all the damage that she could do to the things. The rest was up to the team.

Tugging on her gloves she just let herself fall to the ground loathing this useless feeling she had. Truly she didn't even do much, so looking to Cap Eve finally muttered her sorry and just sat there allowing her lap to be used a pillow.

Cerbin Hiberion

Still looking bored at his group of misfits play around with the ghoul, Cerbin inhaled something in his nose. Vile in its smell and pinching to his nostrils, he knew what had mad the stench. It was none other than the familiar stench of a demon whose only intention was to kill. Definitely not the type of demon to be present at an entrance exam. He stood up slowly and looked around smelling the air. From what he could tell there were about three to four smells. One was close as the others were further away. He turned his head in all direction till he stopped and opened his eyes. The direction of his stare was the same direction he was sure that she was in. He growled at the situation. He had to go there and analyze the situation, but, at the same time, he had to stay here and watch over the children. He blinked a couple of times enhancing his vision on each blink. That's when he saw it. The vile disgusting horseman of a demon, galloping in his direction in blind stupid rage. He dimmed his eyes at the sight. The demons skin looked like it was made from rotten flesh and you could clearly make out the design of its muscles. It seemed to also be leaking something vile. It's stench masked the others more and more with each step it took. Surely this demon was either rouge or too stupid to know not to run with such determination toward his superiors.

The demon slightly turned as to not ram into Cerbin directly, but instead circle him, as if he was the prey. The man did nothing but stare blankly forward still contemplating his next move. He knew if he wasn't restricted he could easily kill this perpetrator, but also knew that if he did that, he would give away the fact that he wasn't human.

"Hehehe." The demon laughed menacingly in low voice. It licked it's lips in entertainment and circled Cerbin like he was some sort of prey at the bottom of the food chain.
"If I were to kill him normally I'd end up wasting so much time. However, to kill multiple ones at a time would definitely look bad upon me. It would be so easy without restrictions.... I wonder." Cerbin said aloud in thought making the demon impatient. It huffed and snarled shaking its head back and forth like a wild bull. Drawing close to Cerbin who was still mumbling random thoughts in his head he reached out his arm and grabbed the mans collar, pulling him off the air and breathing melting breath into his face.

Cerbin suddenly stop talking and acknowledged the demons presence with his eyes that were still cold and unwilling to show any type of care. Moving his hands to his holster, he drew out his guns, placing one of the double barrels on under the demons arm. BANG!!!

Cerbin dropped back down to the ground along with the demons hand and forced the grip off of his person. He stared at the lesser demon who was screaming while holding his arm in agony. Vile howls of pain could be heard from the animistic creature. The mans only reply was wiping the splattered blood off of his face.

Cerbin bluffed. "I could kill you with a glance you know. It wouldn't be very smart to stay around here." However his words didn't seem to reach the monsters ears as it ran towards him instead of running away.
Anticipating the movements of his enemy, Cerbin leaped over its head crabbing on to its rough hair to guide himself to its back and rode on it like a cowboy atop a bull. It kicked and jumped trying to free himself from Cerbins grip while Cerbin tried to get a steady aim at its head. He fired two shots that just seemed to barely maim the beasts skin. Finally after one could thrust, the demon sent Cerbin flying in the air.

With a couple of rolls, Cerbin seemed to have regained his composer. He placed himself up and knelled on the ground not keeping his eyes off the monster in front of him. Placing his hand in his mouth he bit his palm enough to cause the blood to flow out. Below him he drew a circle and a few signs before placing his palm in the center. He stood up and pointed both of his pistols at the creature as the circle seemed to animate itself into a puddle that covered all of the signs he wrote inside of it. Out of the puddle pointed ears emerged and slowly turned into a wolves design. It was obviously not a wolf but instead some sort of demon. Staring at the four legged beast in front of it the wolf growled and snarled awaiting Cerbins order.

Cerbin clicked the safety off of the unfired pistol in his right hand and said, "Malice. It's time to eat." As if it was a hidden keyword, Malice sprinted toward the beast in front of him in waves instead of a straight on path before ending up behind it and biting on its hind left leg. The sound mimicked a broken tree branch but the effect didn't seem to warrant anything. Standing on its front hooves, the demon kicked back to force malice off of him. The wolf flipped back landing back on its paws and once again darted for the demon who seemed to anticipate it coming back.

The demon turned his attention to Malice, grabbing the wolf with its remaining hand.
Bang!!!
Cerbin shot its hand off leaving the thing with nothing but stumps in memory for what use to be connected to them. The demon roared and galloped around over Malice who had fallen right below it. Quickly the black wolf became one with the demons shadow in order to protect itself. The demon ran away blindly out of range over to the direction of Cerbins group who had seemed to have actually been running away from the ghoul. Cerbin sucked his teeth, knowing that there was no way those kids would last a second with that type of beast. He darted after the demon, monitoring his speed to a normal human like stride as not to go fast enough to blow his cover. He let out huffs of air. "Being a human must suck when it comes to fighting demons." He said to himself.

The Lesser demon rammed into an adjacent wall that wasn't to far from the kids. "Oh no. It's another one!!!!" One of the boys called.
"No. It looks really big and it's bleeding."
"Please no. No more. I didn't want this. I wanna go home!!!!" The girl cried losing her composure and falling to the ground. The male student behind her ran to the area behind them, but was stopped by a wall. They were all trapped.

Malice etched his way out of the demons shadow and darted in front of the kids. He growled while looking behind him for a second. His thoughts harassing himself for having to protect such weak creatures.

Seeming to regain its mentality, the angered demon looked in the direction of Malice and the children and roared just before ramming in their direction.

Malice growled as it positioned itself to pounce out the demon three times his size. Cerbin, now within firing range shot continuously at the demons direction, hitting it different areas. None of them were vital, but it seemed enough to cause the demon to stagger. Malice jumped on the demon, crawling around it like a rodent before taking a bite of it's neck. He dug in deeper, bearing his fangs to cover more of a mouthful of meat before shutting it's jaws on the demons throat causing it to spray blood all over the area around it. The dog kept biting and pulling until there was nothing left of the demons neck. With the silence of the frightful moans and gurgles of agony came the view of a head separated from a vile horses body.

Cerbin finally making his way to the scene looked around, the girl jumping to him and hugging him with tears. "It's okay." He said rubbing her head. "It's over now." Turning to Malice he ordered the dog to stay with the humans and to take them back to the meeting spot after his meal. The wolf gave a growl of agreement as it chomped on what was left of the centaur demon.

"Malice. Look after the kids. Make sure they're escorted back to the meeting area." He ordered. Turning to the children he said, "Stay with my familiar. He'll keep you safe.", before running off in the direction of the other teams. The direction which had the smell of other demons clinging to it like a bad disease.

The decorative junctures marking certain crossroad within the city were usually not interesting enough to pass much time, but with recent events the dull courtyards with their colourful flowers and symbolic statues had taken on a whole new exciting hue. Placed in the right locations at the right windows of time one could witness a number of thrilling confrontations. The most fruitful of location for this type of observation fell between a zone of clear Ammiel support and disapproval. Of course, the guards or leaders or whomever else in this place could be credited with the least bit of brainpower were well aware of the tension zone and had it patrolled frequently. That was precisely why Levien Phrixus took a seat on a bench part obscured by falling threads of ivy at this particular time of day to wait and watch the angels wandering through - for it was at this time one set of gold gilded guards took their leave and a seemingly identical replacement would take to the streets. The citizens, to be credited as stubbornly determined as opposed to wise, had taken note of this small lull in military control, and those looking for fight would meet to exchange words and blows in the limited window of opportunity. It never interested him to join in either side of the confrontation. As much as he was infuriated with Faida Ammiel and her stealing of power and manipulation of Felspar, he was wise enough to know fighting for it on the street would be pointless. The deed was done.

Considering Felspar, Levien was curious what his mentor had been up to. Now that he was a Power it was nearly impossible to get the chance to meet with him. Levien imagined he was buried under the work Faida would pile on him now that his title position made it seem acceptable, incapable or simply too proud to handle it herself. It really was a shame that Felspar had not taken his rightful place as Seraphim. With him in charge Aurae could be repaired forever, but in the hands of Faida… Pity…

A smile curled his lips as it seemed his patience was not to be wasted. Two irritable faces met at the far side of the courtyard, paced about like animals, and moved forward to strike. They did not seem to need words to speak their intent. These two were not truly here for the words or for beliefs; these were the kinds who sought only violence to, he supposed, add a little interest to their order bound angel lives. Fairly less interesting, but something to observe none the less. Just as the pacing reached a heat and arms pulled back to prepare fists, the telltale sound of guards marching up the cobblestone – Peculiar how they all take up a similarly costive gait. – sent everyone turning on their heels to act ignorant. Levien sighed faintly.

Turing attention to the guards that had ruined the moment, his eye contact was returned and they headed directly for him. Faintly unsettling, but he knew there was nothing on record that could be used against him in a dangerous sort of way, so he stood and smiled at them as they approached. One of the guards he was personally familiar with, though not in particularly friendly sort of way. The guard spoke in mumbled tones, looking none too pleased with the task. “Had a feeling we would find you here. You hang around here far too much Phrixus.”

A light chuckle welcomed the negative assertion and Levien raised a hand to caress a strand of the nearby ivy. “Yes well, the ivy does not grow as vibrantly green in the other courtyards, don’t you think? Truly magnificent…” The guardsman did not share in Levien’s bright smiling and without further comment presented him with his invitation from the Seraphim. Personalized delivery and an official seal suggested that it was not a simple matter, and that quite immediately drew Levien’s attention. Simple words of thanks left his lips to cut the rudeness of rather suddenly taking to the sky. Envelope clutched in his hand, familiar flight paths took him to one of his preferred flight access cafes where he took up his usual seat to take a closer look at the sepia curiosity. He tapped the corner of the letter on the marble table and eyed his name written in what he judged to be personally written by Faida based on the curl of the letters that was very similar to the way Felspar taught him to write. After requesting from the waitress his usual latte, he brought a nail to the edge of the golden wax seal. There was something mildly sacrilegious in breaking the symbol of his leader, so he made quite certain to crack the wax as he searched the envelope for understanding. Scanning the words he found his curiosity increased. He could not be certain exactly why an Archangel would be allowed at the meeting, but he imagined it would take something important to bend stubborn old rules. There was also a faint hope, Perhaps I will get the chance to see Felspar.

There was little he had done to prepare for the meeting beyond slipping on some vaguely more formal attire, so the café entertained him until clock bell tolls warned of time running out. He did not go far in fixing himself, he usually kept fairly clean anyhow and highly doubted he would be noticed, but a formal jacket was closed over his airy white shirt and jeans were exchanged for white slacks. From there he walked all too slowly to the High Temple, mind lazily offering possible reasons for the invitation. Arriving a little early, he stayed back a short ways from the High Temple and watched who passed through. He waited until he had seen most high ranking members of council he knew pass, preferring not to get in their way, before he followed another faintly hesitant Archangel into the room. It looked about how he would have expected, the very structure built to praise those considered better by rank. Not a surprise then that the Archangels were removed to what he felt was like the children’s table at a formal dinner. Taking one of the remaining seats, he glanced at the other Archangels. He was not overly familiar with any of them, only recognizing one face more specifically as one he believed he had worked with him the past. The name did not come to mind. The variety of Archangels present did little to give explanation to why they had been invited and he moved his attention to the upper ranks to note that Felspar had not appeared yet. Somehow he was not particularly surprised.

When Faida appeared to shed light on this strange occurrence, he took up a smile and watched as she acted out her dance of placation and encouragement. It was hard to doubt her passion on the matters by her appearance though. He faintly raised a brow at one point. “Top advisor” was it? Could she not even be bothered to give him the credit of speaking out his name? Then again, it was not as though anyone would not know to whom she referred. So Felspar wanted a few of them to go to Earth and destroy this child discreetly. The child whose gender they did not know and whose appearance could only be guessed by knowing her mother. Folding his hands together, he looked down for a moment to suppress his excitement. It was an opportunity to search around Earth with the only one controlling his movements a world away. It was the perfect chance to taste the freedom of Earth without having to continue slaving away to earn a high enough rank to allow him to leave Aurae. He needed to go on this mission.

The rest of her words did not affect him too strongly, unless of course he might be forced to work as one of the additional guard forces, so he did not pay too much attention. As Faida opened the floor to questions, he refocused his attention to see if anyone would be arguing against the plan. It quite surprised him that the first word came from one of those banished to the back of the room. Turning to look at the one who had the guts to speak, he smiled to find it was the man he knew. It seemed he should have put a little more consideration into getting to know him, his boldness was interesting. The question wakened a murmur around the room, and looking to Faida Levien thought he saw a bit of discomfort. It was a good point. It did not seem particularly fair for an angel to start cutting down humans for a matter than did not involve their world, but he imagined that for Aurae’s safety such a thing would be allowed. He looked to Faida more closely, eager to see how the new Seraphim would handle herself with this.

Astaroth passed his muddy eyes over the other members of the hunting party as they settled in to the human’s realm, taking in the subtleties of their reactions with a bland expression. In passing he wondered what sort of temperature the Princess had expected to find in a world of open skies and fluctuating seasons, but in the end it did not seem to be a matter worth questioning. Yeuri’s push to begin the journey was welcomed, but Astaroth could not avoid letting a sigh of irritation filter through his nostrils at being reminded of the need to wear a limiter. The name itself spoke of why it was such an unpleasant idea to him. Thoughts of limitation enforced by another were none too pleasant and his skin started to itch uncomfortably at the thought of it. Regardless of internalized complaints, he took out a limiter and ruefully attached it to his left wrist. Besides immediately distilling discomfort the device hid away his small horns and dulled the sharpness of his canines.

Following behind the others as they filtered out of the alleyway and into less filthy segments of civilization, his attention was drawn by a soft hiss at his heel. Crouching to face his returned Iaculus, an arm was extended to guide the snake to wrap around his waist while he gathered understanding from soft hisses. Quick words with nearby animal life had taught Iaculus the habits of some demons known to the area, and he also happened to have found a small creature to unfortunately call his dinner, as irrelevant as that was. Once the full length of the snake had coiled around him and had heard the full report, Astaroth stood and ran his fingers over the smooth black and white scales of his creature. As he did so, Iaculus was overtaken by an illusion and appeared to flatten until he became but a striped belt clasped by a snake biting into its tail. Turning to Yeuri as he questioned the information gathered, Astaroth spoke quickly the relevant bits of information. “The lessers tend to avoid the populated areas. We’ll have better luck somewhere more isolated, but where people would still venture to end up easy prey.”

Taking that information as guide as there was little else to go on at this point, the group began their slow work of walking to track down the erring little demons. The sound of each footstep, ill-matched by those around him that differed in weight and pacing, reminded him how many more it would take to shift through the land of humans to a place that would let them complete their quest and made the journey that much more exhaustingly dull. None of the little buildings, anonymous humans, or unfamiliar machinery that passed around them was of enough interest to alleviate the persistent sense of boredom. As the paths turned to desolation he was provided with the faintest of reliefs as they might soon come across a viable location. Astaroth seriously hoped that the Lesser Demons they were after would not be as pathetic as he believed they would be and make this trip at least slightly worthwhile. As a peculiar arrangement of distorted buildings appeared on the horizon he felt the vaguest sense of relief that seemed to be in some way reflected by those around him.

The words of the Princess on speed earned a slightly raised brow. It was almost as though she was insulting the rate that he walked. Bold words considering the number of times he thought he has heard her dragging her feet. As much as he would have liked to point that out in the form of a veiled insult, he thought better of rudeness considering the overprotective nature of her subordinate and spoke with some fabricated politeness. “It does look like the sort of place one would hide. Faster it is.”

Faster paced footsteps were little less irritatingly inefficient than the supposedly slower ones previously, but at least the motion was reliable and they found themselves at the gates of the strange place. Beyond the decay of neglect and piling up of long forgotten scrap, the place was very different in character to the area where their journey had begun. The shapes and forms of the buildings and mechanisms he could see from the entrance were senseless and exaggerated. Tearing his eyes from the curiosity ahead, he looked to the Princess and offered comment on her plan. “Sending Jackal sounds good. Splitting up - we should each take a distinct area so we don’t cover the same paths or miss a place they could be hiding in. We should be quiet too. Plenty of room for them to slip out if they hear us coming.”

After Bavol crossed the threshold of the strange location, he too stepped forward and approached a small structure with counters and broken glass windows. Half faded and peeled writing dubs the structure ‘Information’. Pinned beneath a piece of glass he finds a weathered old pamphlet which upon opening reveals a map of the place bearing the strange names of differing locations within this amusement park. A park dedicated to entertainment - a faint smirk lit his face - taking a look around he would gladly see whether or not those who made this place should be so proud to call it amusing. In the face of the curiosity he had found for in the challenge offered by this location, Bavol’s apparent disinterest struck him as out of place. Ignoring that, he responded with his somewhat differing opinion on the matter. “Unless they’re especially powerful I doubt we’ll need to work together to take them down.” Looking over the two before him for a moment, he considered that maybe it was due to his greater power that he could think that way. Well, that was their problem. “Best kill them when we see them - never know if they might move or try to run.”

As he had already memorized the map offered by the building of information, he held it out for Bavol to take. Running a finger over the far left section, he comments, “If it’s no consequence to you I’ll take this section.”

Aura Thorne

Aura gracefully slid downwards from the fire stallion’s girth to rest, once more, her grounded feet on the asphalt. Though, could one really say that she was anything but exalted to be standing, albeit on shaky knees, back in her home court once more? Slowly reaching out a wavering hand, the golden-haired Tamer lightly thumped the palm against the base of his neck, attempting to show the appreciation she had of being alive after he came plummeting down to the surface. In fact, her mouth had just opened to voice her gratitude when the screams and shouts arrived.

Spinning around on her heels, crimson orbs just slightly widened with surprise, what greeted Aura wasn’t the pleasantry of the abandoned amusement park. No no, it was far worse; it was a scene of utter chaos, lesser demons, whom were most certainly not their intended targets, decided to make a crashing appearance. Of course she was shocked! Who wouldn’t be? Feeling that familiar sense of cold dread wash over her, blood chilling in the vein, Aura’s gaze latched onto the rambunctious Akio, the idiot purposefully taunting one by himself. He….he’s going to get himself...killed like that! hissed her inner conscious, worry seeping heavily into the tone. Sinking her teeth into her lower lip, the quiet Tamer had made a move to rush to her comrade’s side, even if she wasn’t going to be of much use, when Julius, the fire stallion’s owner, barked out a definitive order. "I got this, run! Don't stop, you'll only get in the way!" It was this voice, this command, that directed this girl’s focus to rest on her counterpart’s physical condition, his features pallid and reflecting back the agitation she felt inward. Knitting eyebrows in worry, Aura merely responded with a reluctant nod, the screams from another party directing her attention sharply to the left. W….where are the teachers?! "Oh king of beasts, servant of Hera and punisher of Zeus. Unleash thine rage and crush those before me scourge of Nemea! Roar...Regulus!!" were the male student’s final words, the demand cut short by the hacking sound of blood bubbling in his throat. Spraying the life force over the concrete, Ms. Fay took a half-step closer to the suffering Exorcist, every intent to call upon one of her summons (even if they wouldn’t provide that much help) in her mind. However, a single warning growl from behind her indicated that fate had no such plans in the workings.

Narrowing her scarlet gaze, that pit at the bottom of her stomach expanded, adrenaline now sending out erratic bursts… after all, it was just her luck to be signalled out. But...what about..Julius…? Well, with one look over at Eve dragging his body away from the action, that notion was put to rest, concerns about her own person now arising. Drawing in a shaky breath, her thought process became occupied with counting down from 10, hoping, praying, an idea would come to her… after all, she surely hoped she wouldn’t have to act on her first instinct. 10….9….8….7….6… Surveying the area, her focus flickered across the grounds for an escape, 5…..4….3...2...1…! In that split second that ‘1’ mentally resounded was the second she took off, lithe stature streaking past the alleyway that Eve and Julius had ducked into, feet barely making contact with the ground. And, of course, that pigheaded demon ended up chasing in pursuit.

Leaping over the upturned garbage cans and discarded stuffed animals, all remainders of the lesser demons' first taste of freedom, the Tamer’s conscious eroded away the initial points of dread for her team mates and more for the dire situation she had put herself in. Hearing the snarls fading just in the slightest, Aurora received this as a blessing as she detoured to the carousel, hoping to find a stronghold there to plot her escape. Ducking behind the paint-chipped benches, the teenager had ended up squatting, untrusting to sit fully down should the event of having to flee come to priority once more. Panting out shallow breaths, mental curses filling her mind, Aura rummaged through her blazer’s front pocket, desperate to find the one tool that would either save or condemn her existence. Fingertips brushing against the sliver of cold metal, a small smile played onto her features as she retrieved it from the depths of fabric; a needle. Glancing up and over the bench’s backing, her eyes narrowed at the sight of the mangy hound, fur pulsating with shadow, noisily sniffing out her scent...and, apparently, it was confused. Retreating her head back to the safety of the obscure view, Aura pricked the bed of her right pointer finger, a drop of crimson welling up. However...something was off about her in this moment of time. It was as if someone had taken control of her person, as if someone possessed knowledge she didn’t. Blacking out for a brief moment, any sense of self-awareness melting away, her body began to move on it’s own accord, eager to project what it's mind was demanding. When she finally came to, blinking confusion her response, Aura could only stare at the 4-inch mark in curiosity, in apprehension. Instead of Rin or Kota’s usual symbol painted onto the machine’s metal flooring, glyph occupied it’s place, the construction of it’s birth quite unique to say the least. What the…? mused her inner voice, wariness causing that distrusting gaze to narrow. A heartbeat had passed before, out of nowhere, a searing pain in her low spine caused her to yelp out in surprise. Undoubtedly, the lesser demon heard the tortured gasp...but did she care? Hardly.. in fact, the whole of her attention was focused on, vainly, blocking out the sensation that felt as though flame was licking her flesh. Clenching her jaw, tears pooling in her vision, Aura could only grasp at the fabric of her vest, breath now only arriving in small gasps. In fact, the Tamer was in so much pain that it didn’t even fully click with herself in that instance; she had summoned a lesser demon to her aid, to be pitted against her pursuer.

Ryuu

Ryuu nodded her agreement with Nathaniel. She didn’t particularly care about the students as individuals but more so because she was a teacher and it was her job to care. Hmm maybe taking this one wasn’t the best idea after all Ryuu looked back at Nathaniel as she continued to shadow her students. Very little happened between Evangeline and Akio not that she had expected much. Akio was one to joke around but Evangeline seemed more on the serious side of things. As she walked, Ryuu kept looking up at the sky, red eyes flicking about in search of her familiar and her students. A flash of movement could be seen which Ryuu soon deduced to being Night as he slithered through the sky.

She watched Akio as he made a fool of himself, an amused smile beginning to form on her lips. Suddenly Night settled down beside her drawing her attention away from the two before her for a brief second. “Where are the other two?” Night curled in the air beside her head as he shrunk to the size of a medium sized snake. “They are on their way. It seems the boy landed a bit too far from the others so I’m guessing he’s bringing his familiar closer.” Ryuu looked back at the other two in her line of sight and soon enough Julius and Aura arrived. His familiar knelt so he ad Aura could dismount as one would a normal horse.

Nodding her head she continued to watch them, not even bothering to look in the direction of her familiar. “Good, they’re here in one piece, although I would have preferred it if you had stayed with them Night.” With that being said, Ryuu reached out for Night who in turn curled around her arm. With a dark flash of light Night once more became a two-dimensional version of himself. Still moving about on her arm, it looked like the dragon like familiar was making himself comfortable before finally settling and was still.

Upon the fellow tamers arrival, Ryuu could hear Akio’s nervous laugh as he tried to turn attention away from his fool of a blunder. Surprisingly enough the knight-in-training proved himself by what he did next in dealing with the obvious piece of news Julius had given them. As Akio quietly confronted the spiritual creature, his foot hit a can much to Ryuu’s dismay. Ugh now it’ll know your there but that didn’t seem to be the case as the spiritual creature seemed to be completely oblivious of the young exorcists in trainings presence. Using his cane, Akio hit the can and it flew right by the spiritual creatures head. “Hmm that was pretty good for a blind swordsman. Let’s see what else you’ve got up your sleeve Yamada.”

Akio began to taunt the poor creature but it was enough for it to anger it. Throwing a trash can towards the young swordsman; Akio unsheathed his sword and then sheathed it with surprising speed and precision. Impressive. I guess his family’s harsh training has done some good. Seeing as the trash can was a failed attempt, the spiritual creature rushed Akio who lowered himself into a fighting stance, which earned him a slight frown from Ryuu as she began to criticize the stance he chose. Ryuu gave him a scrutinizing look over, His center of gravity is too high, one push and he’ll be easily overtaken by it. That was really the only thing Ryuu caught onto before she turned her attention back to the rest of the group.

Red eyes focused on the female Aria as she distanced herself from the group, but not because she was scared but to give her room to think. Good, good. Think and think hard Evangeline. Soon enough it seemed the girls thinking time was over as she began to speak a phrase from the bible. Although because Ryuu herself wasn’t an Aria she had to rack through her brain in order to figure out the verse Evangeline was speaking. Ryuu was glad the girl was screeching out the verse like another Aria she knew. The red haired woman understood their need to be loud so their voices could reach the ears of the spiritual creature or lesser demon. It sometimes got a little annoying hearing them scream and shout all the while making a fool out of themselves.

The young girl continued with her verse and already the first sounds of pain coming from the spiritual creature could be heard. However it seemed the Aria herself wasn’t able to handle the scream of pain that escaped its lips. Faltering just enough to give herself an opening but it seemed before the spiritual creature actually had a chance to attack the girl. It yowled in fear as it made an attempt to backtrack its footsteps. It was at that moment a chill went down Ryuu’s spine, turning around she just barely managed to catch sight of a flock of lesser demons pass her overhead. One of the three went in a separate direction and right towards Aura, while the other two focused their attention on her students. Ironically the lesser demons did her a favor as one scooped up the spiritual creature in its jaws and swallowed it whole. Finally the direness of the situation reached Ryuu’s mind as she ran towards her students, a string of curses escaped her lips and were left in her wake.

“What the hell are they doing here?” As she got closer to her students, Julius had summoned his second familiar one Ryuu hadn’t realized her had. It was a lion albeit a wild one as it let loose a deafening roar that sent not only the lesser demons in its path but her as well staggering backwards. Shielding her face from flying debris she saw arcs of lightning leave its body, a look of worry flashed across her normally serious face when her eyes caught sight of Julius’s state of being. The arcs of lightening from before were not directed at anything in particular but they did ruin a few objects in its path of destruction. Eyes narrowing Ryuu made haste in reaching her students although she had to make sure not to get in the way of a now rampant familiar.

“Damn it all!” Ryuu watched as Akio made attempts to fight off one of the lesser demons. While Evangeline and Julius were nowhere to be seen, Where are they? Running over towards Akio, Ryuu drew out the two swords that rested at her sides. Sharing a look with her student Ryuu raised her swords, “Yamada I need you to go and find Evangeline and Julius. Julius didn’t seem to be in the best of conditions and Evangeline will need time to come up with a “Fatal Verse”. You need to protect them from the Lesser Demons so hurry” Ryuu had no idea as to where Aura went but hopefully the girl would be able to hold her own. Ryuu now alone stood before a rather large Lesser Demon, it was somewhat larger than a horse. The Lesser demon resembled a mutated ape with arms the size of barrels and curled horns protruding from its forehead. A snake-like tail whipped about behind it with barbs covering the surface.

The second Lesser demons was smaller than its companion, resembling a boar with huge spikes poking out of its back. The one thing that was different from the normal boar was that its legs were somewhat longer so the creature was as low to the ground as its animal counterpart. Taking on a fighting stance, Ryuu side stepped the barbed tail that was sent her way. At the same time she sliced at its thick hide with both her swords. However they did not have the same effect as she had hoped it would, the cut was shallow and only enraged the creature more so than when Evangeline had spoken those verses. Swinging its large fists Ryuu rolled out of the way, coughing on the dusty dirt that rose up from the ground as it caved in under the weight of its fists. Looking up she just barely managed to guard against the second lesser demons charge. Its sudden charge caught her off balance and she fell to her side however its sight was not set on her. Instead it ran past her and in the direction that Akio and the others had gone in. “Dammit!”

Ryuu quickly got back up and rushed after the boar. However the ape demon blocked her pathway with its large fists. It laughed in triumph and her obvious frustration as Ryuu turned her attention back towards it. Suddenly the creature’s tail snapped at her upper body, raising her swords to deflect it they cracked then splintered under the immense weight. In the end its tail reached its target and sent Ryuu flying right into the wall of one of the nearby buildings. Thankfully her swords had blunted the force behind the blow but Ryuu still coughed up blood as she stood back up on shaky feet. Wiping away the blood that streamed down the corners of her mouth, Ryuu discarded her now useless swords and rolled her shoulders. Pain blossomed around her chest and feeling around she pinpointed the location of what she guessed was a fractured rib.

To make matters worse the ground began to shake and rumble all around her. Suddenly a large serpentine head erupted from the ground not too far away from where she and Nathaniel had once stood watching their students. The newcomer was twice the size of the one she had just been fighting with and resembled a snake with horns curling around the sides of its head. “What! Goddammit it, who they hell summoned these things?” Her anger at the idea of a Tamer or a group of Tamers in this case summoned such strong familiars got the better of her. All she knew was that either they had been killed in action and were unable to dismiss their summons or they were the ones who had sent their familiars loose on the world. Ryuu wasn’t sure what Nathaniel was doing in all this chaos but at times like these even an Exorcist at her level needed help. “Nathaniel! Now would be a good time!” she called out to him wincing in the process.

Using the blood from before she formed a seal on the wall behind her all the while keeping her eyes on the demons that began to advance towards her. A look of anger mixed with determination in her eyes, words of power left her lips. “Come forth oh Demon Blade. Slash the evil before you with the darkest of blades” slamming her hand against the seal, her hand formed into a fist as it took hold of the hilt of a blade. Pulling it out of its storage, Ryuu held in her hand a katana nearly as long as she was tall with a blade the color of onyx.

The demon ape growled in what she guessed was fear at the sight of a Demon Blade. Letting loose a long held release of air, Ryuu breathed in and out to calm her mind. "Alright Chomesku, lets burn them to hell." A mean smile on her face Ryuu rushed forwards at the same time as the demon ape. The two clashed heads with Ryuu's sword giving her the advantage. Guessing from the fact that the demon snake hadn't attacked her, Ryuu assumed Nathaniel was dealing with it.

Amusement Park||Demon Boar

Meanwhile Ryuu and Nathaniel dealt with the demon ape and snake, the demon boar went after Akio, Julius and Evangeline. It snorted and yowled loudly, enough to alert its targets up ahead as it dashed straight for them. The demon boar swerved to the side only to pop up in front of them. It sqealed bloodlust raging in its eyes, pawing at the ground with its hooves, the demon boar stared right at Akio and his cane. In that moment it charged forwards right for Akio.

Nathaniel Kale Jenova

Nathaniel watched Ryuu with much attention to her small sways of twitching and differing body language that dictated her thoughts to him, as an analytical mind, rather easily. He didn’t show much with his face, never did… Never was taught how to appropriately. So he watched other express their emotions with such expressive movements of their muscles. Some made expression of one’s true feelings elegant, hearty and others sorrowful and frightening. He found it interesting how these contrasting pros and cons met with perfect synchronization.

But he looked back in between the land and the dark sky with his eyes glowing ever steadily like haunting blue lights shrouded in thick white fog. He brought out a small smile however at Akio’s abilities, even commenting on it as a outward thought. ''You are only as weak as you allow yourself...'' He looks back to Ryuu as she comments, trying to work out his game plan and he thought to add to such to in some way defend the young man. ''He is only blind to the seeing world around up, but he sees in other forms other than his other senses. He is hardly at a disadvantage and in some ways he could successfully land a surprise attack due to said ‘weakness’. I quite admire the young man if I say so myself.''

As the invasion then outright started from nowhere, Nathaniel for a moment was staggered in place from dulling pain in his chest from the lesser demons’ summoning. It was shocking his long unused natural passive abilities and he watched as a lightning bolt was blasting right to him like a sharp stake. He frowned, bringing his gloved hand to his front and from a blast of blue energy came from it, ice spreading out to shield him from the lightning but shattering on impact. He groaned, looking at Ryuu as she was knocked back and as he ran, toward her, summoning his gun blade from black mist that was linked to him via a chain, he was stopped.

''Ugh..'' Was all he managed to release in his irritation that he was blocked with a spiked whipping tail. He back flipped out its way, it shyly missing his nose yet his face held complete calm, or maybe it was voided of expression, one could not quite tell unless you really knew him, bets were Eve did and she would certainly point out that he was calm. In mid-air he looked back at the serpent demon and he pointed his gun at his snout, shooting the bullet that on impact exploded in ice, distracting him. At that moment Nathaniel shifted from view, only black mist left behind, before reappearing at the demon’s tail, his weapon stabbed into it, freezing its tail before he literally ran up it’s length. Slicing up it, the deep wounds freezing before he next leaped up and stabbed from the top of it’s head and through his jaw. Pulling the trigger to blast the beast from him in a fiery blaze. Blood splashing against him like flecks of generous doses of red onto the front of his chest, the blood trailed down from the lack of friction to keep it at its resting place. Where as on his face, small flicks across his exposed cheek resembled the flick like motions of a paint brush. At that moment, the world slowed for him, his breaths the only reality as he falls down.

Landed on the ground with much elegance his world was disturbed abruptly as he was tackled by a hell hound. Blocking it with his arm. He let out pained growls as the beast gnawed and maimed his forearm. He then snapped, out of feral aggression installed into him, hissing at the creature, much like one himself, before using his own claws to harshly rip it’s throat out then he kicked the hound away, grabbed his weapon. Turning it on the beast he shot the beast in the head, point blank. He slowly looked at his forearm, so badly maimed you could tell flesh from bone from the depth of the mauling and he cringed. But in the end, he only ripped away the sleeve of his trench coat. He then looked up to the sky and fired lights into the it, illuminating the darkness of the fair ground, ethereal sorts of lights, it would make some demons cower away from its small dose of holy energy from it, but it was otherwise quite harmless.

Nathaniel scanned the area, pushing weak demons away with gathered air from around him, swirling it around to add power in it's spin before casting it out on them, successfully pushing them back, only getting a few scratches to marry with his more serious wound that he did not see as a priority at this given moment despite the blood flow being much like water from a tap. However the blood flow was slowly steadying itself. It was still a ghastly sight to behold and more so with his ever calm expression on his face, like it didn't seem to matter though it was particularly nasty looking. He turned back to Ryuu, seeing the large ape like demon he fires a blast of ice at the back of the deformed ape like demon’s head to distract him from Ryuu. Before he could get her attention in turn. ''Do you wish me to stand or to find the others? I can see where they went, with my eyes.'' He shouted with much togetherness. He darted out of the way of the fist that came to slam over him, but still awaited Ryuu’s say before either attacking the beast or leaving to find the others.

Akio Yamada

Akio waited for the perfect moment to strike, as the spiritual creature cry in pain from Evangline attacks Akio seen the opening he was waiting for just. Akio started to sprint at the spiritual creature, but seemingly out of nowhere a huge "thing" crashed down on top of the spiritual creature. Akio heard a loud crunch then what sounded like a "glup", Akio slid to a stop just a few feet from the huge thing. This was one of the few times Akio wishes he could see, because he had no idea what was going on. Did a teacher summon this, If so why? Maybe another student did. As Akio tried to figure out what exactly was going on, the huge thing that seemingly ate the spiritual creature became aware of the boy's presence it raised its huge arm and swatted at the boy as if he was a fly.

Akio not fully paying attention was caught off guard by this the, "things" arm slammed into Akio sending him flying at least 10 to 15 yards away the only reason he didn't fly farther was he crashed into a wall or at least what felt like a wall. once Akio hit the ground, all he could hear was a loud ringing. He could hear what sounded like people, but couldn't quite make out what they were saying, kinda like he was underwater. Akio still clutching his cane slowly being to try and get up still not being able to make out any sounds other then a faint rumble that was slowly got louder and louder until he could make it out, it sounded like something charging him. Akio still pretty out of it from crashing into the wall had no time to react to this. For a brief moment Akio thought he was done, but seemingly on its own his body jump out of the way of what was charging him on its own.

This wasn't the first time something like this has happened while training with his mother, his body seem to move on its own Akio could thank this to training from a young age fighting was second nature to him at this point. What every it was crashed into the wall a fraction of a second after Akio roll away. Once Akio made it back to his feet, his hearing was somewhat back to normal and to Akio it sound as if he was in the middle of a war zone, but that didn't bother Akio as much as what he smell blood. There was a heavy smell of blood in the air, since on one else was in the area Akio assumed the worst one or all of his team members where at least hurt. Akio thought back to his promise he made to them, "as long as I'm alive, not even Satan will lay a finger on your guys." Akio clinches his teeth I let them down.

Akio had little time to dwell on his failure because what ever charged him dug itself out of the rubble of the wall and let out a monstrous cry. Akio turned his attention back to it. Not knowing fully what was going on and coupled with the fact he let his team down forced hand Akio hand, he had to get serious. To most people this wouldn't be a big deal, but to Akio it was only slightly better then dying, getting serious meant acting like his mom. Akio slowly open his eyes this was his "switch" for lack of a better word. The monster would snort and charge Akio again, once in range Akio quickly side steps the attack and quickly unsheathes his blade and slashes at the beats leg as it passes by. This attack was not meant to cut or severe the limb. Akio's goal was to trip up the charging monster. With one of the beast legs knocked from under it, the moster would crash into the ground hard. It slid a 7 or 8 feet to a stop at the sames time Akio slowly re sheaths his blade. Once his opponent made it back to it's feet Akio begins to ready himself for another charge. <br>

Bavol

Glancing over her shoulder Bavol carefully watched the other demon, Astaroth, as he too approached the abandoned park before finding himself at some odd structure which stood nearby. “Unless they’re especially powerful I doubt we’ll need to work together to take them down… Best kill them when we see them - never know if they might move or try to run.” He spoke, before proceeding closer towards Bavol and holding out what seemed to resemble some sort of map of the area. “If it’s no consequence to you I’ll take this section.”

Bavol dazedly looked to the map offered to her before accepting the bundle of information carefully in her hands as her eyes glanced vaguely over it’s contents. “Uh, sure. I see no issues with that. Go ahead.” She replied, and added, “However… should you run into trouble then just give us a shout.” With an amused little giggle quickly following the female offered a simple sigh before refocusing her stare deep within the map that sat securely in her hands before her.

This place sure is big. She thought, gradually getting back onto her feet whilst taking in some of the finer layout details of the amusement park. At first glance this place is awfully boring, but, when given a map things certainly get more interesting. I better not get lost.

Looking to the demons once more, calmly, Bavol said, “Alrighty. Astaroth takes the far left. Yeu, where will you go?” Once the other demon joined the pair Bavol took a step forward and handed Yeu the map of the amusement park, believing her subordinate would find the information useful. “Maybe it is time I showed a little more initiative as a Prince. I think this time round… we can handle going our separate ways to cover more ground, you know? I still expect you to remain in one piece without me though - ok Yeu!”

Stepping back the female offered a smile to the pair of males, before turning round on her heel and proceeding further down one of the various paths that lay built into the ground to guide visitors around the rides and stalls. “I‘m going to explore the far right side - check the place out. I wont get lost though, I got it all memorized! Haha!” With that said she ran off down the path and disappeared out of sight further down the way.

At a later point, after having spent a small period of time detouring around the surrounding land filled with many long since forgotten amusements, Bavol soon found herself in the heart of the far right section of the amusement park as expected. Hm... I haven‘t found much. This part of the amusement park seems untouched by the little demons that we are after. Perhaps I ought to move on from here and--

Pulled from her thoughts at that moment, suddenly, the young female could have sworn that she had heard a vague yelp of some sort coming from somewhere only a short distance from where she stood. It hadn’t sounded pleasant in the slightest but from what she could make out the cry of pain was from another younger female - the uncomfortable cry exhibiting something rather unusual throughout it that Bavol quickly picked up on.

“Hm. This feels just too weird to simply ignore,” Raising an eyebrow the demon momentarily pondered over the sudden oddness that she sensed - unable to confidently put a finger on what exactly the unusual aura that she sensed was.

“Better check it out.”

Following the noise the demon gradually made her way over towards the carousel that stood nearby; blindly assuming that the cause of the disturbing cry was nothing more than some little incident that she could easily pass her time over with. However, within seconds of arriving at the abandoned ride the girls attention was quickly directed towards the lesser demons that she could hear on the other side of the carousel. “Wha--” Instantly placing both hands over her mouth to avoid letting out any further noises escape her lips Bavol promptly maneuvered around the carousel to get a better grasp of the situation. Immediately she made note of the two lesser demons that stood opposing each other; both equally as ugly as the other, not to mention equally as menacing too. Of course, though evidently surprised and unnerved, the girl had expected to come across the lesser demons at some point during her duration in the human world. Though at the same time she hadn’t expected two at once, on her own.

Taking refuge at the side of the booth in the centre of the ride Bavol studied the two lesser demons quietly, avoiding their attention for as long as she could. Yeu would probably have a plan about now if he was here… But alas he is not. Besides I did say I ought to show more initiative as a Prince. Maybe now would be a good time to try. Bavol was about ready to strike out at the lesser demons until feeling a tight restraint originating from her right wrist almost instantly when attempting to use a more powerful attack. Ah. I forgot about the limiter. It really does prevent me from utilizing my fuller power.

It was at that moment that another shriek of pain erupted in the air suddenly, causing Bavol to drop all matters of thought once more as she peered round the edge of the booth and into the direction from where the painful cry came from. It had seemed that the young girls cries had been going on for a while, and yet whilst distracted by her thoughts and the lesser demons Bavol had somehow zoned out all noise altogether for a brief moment of time. Getting a better view it was evident that the human was in dire pain and her screams were only attracting the lesser demon towards her; not to mention it seemed that the weird presence that Bavol had sensed was coming from the girl also. But why?

Who is that girl? Doesn’t she realize the danger she is in? Her screams are only going to draw more lesser demons to this area… unless the ones already present don‘t put an end to her before that happens. Narrowing her gaze ever so slightly the female demon bit her lower lip in thought - doubtfully pondering over how to act in the given situation. I don‘t understand why that girl seems so strange to me - she‘s just a human. Albeit a rather pretty one. I‘m a little jealous… and I should not care at all but I can‘t help it. I must intervene.

Hurrying over without another moments thought Bavol made her way over to beside the distressed girl that hid behind one of the benches attached to the ride; whilst doing so avoiding the attention of the two lesser demons that were currently more occupied with each other and the possibility of inflicting pain on one another at that moment.

Placing a hand on the humans shoulder Bavol tried to stop the girl from fidgeting too much, hoping to comfort the girl in any way possible in the little time they had, even if it seemed unlikely. “I know you are in pain but you must cease this endless cry,” She pleaded with a rather concerned tone of voice - something not particularly associated with a demon, though given that it was Bavol it was somewhat acceptable. “Think of something painless. A happier time that will heal your wounds and overcome the pain that you bare just now. If you do not the lesser demons will only continue to attack.”

Bavol could not fully understand what it was that drew her to the human. The aura which surrounded the human girl was bewildering and mysterious and nothing like the other humans that the demon had saw prior. And yet, this young girl was the first human that Bavol had made contact with regardless. The first human she had touched, heard, and even spoken to despite how meaningless each brief moment shared between them had meant. Upon staring at the human the young girl appeared so fragile and helpless, perhaps even scared which was understandable. Bavol could not stop herself from aiding the human in whatever small way she could.

“Breathe easy, think slowly. The pain wont last.” Whether it was humble advice, a mere thought or simply something randomly spoken, Bavol couldn’t think of much to say as the young girl gasped desperately for air whilst clinging to her own being as the discomfort from within herself grew.

Getting to her feet the young demon emerged from behind the rickety bench as she proceeded to approach the two lesser demons. I better make this quick if possible. I don‘t fancy dragging this out - especially not with a human present.

One of the lesser demons seemed rather confused and uneasy - perhaps the unusual vibe that Bavol detected from the human girl was also affecting the other demon. Whatever the cause, though, it was apparent that the other lesser demon was summoned in aid of the girl and thus the cause of her current state of displeasure. In a way it was rather surprising that the human actually managed to do such a thing, and yet even with this, things weren’t in the favour of Bavol either way.

Coming forth, almost immediately, the hound-like demon sprang forward towards Bavol with intent to cause harm. Clearly the creature’s desire for destruction had clouded it’s own, albeit little, intelligence and ability to see who it was that the mangy beast was aiming for - the Princess of Air no less. Even with her limiter the girl ought to be capable of handling such a demon regardless.

The fierce demon snarled and growled as it sprung forward, it’s movements fast and well placed as the shadowy creature began to circled round the young demon in preparation of initiating the first strike. With little time to think Bavol quickly resorted to what she knew best and used the air that surrounded them to her advantage. Raising a single hand to the sky the demon summoned what power she could at that moment; swiftly constructing a small though effective makeshift barrier of air around herself. Seemingly oblivious to this, though, the lesser demon began it’s charge and rammed hard into the barrier - taking on gradual injuries as it continued it’s attack in hopes of breaking through. With enough attempts the beast would eventually grow weak enough to finish off directly, and only then could Bavol turn her attention onto the other lesser demon, a weird boney monster of some sort, who’d likely pose to be equally as annoying.

Aura Thorne

Blinking back the blur, the tears a product of her pain, Aura vainly attempted to focus on the lesser demon standing guard in front of her. With it’s decaying body and boned hackles raised, one might remark that this new creature was, indeed, far more horrendous than it’s opponent… and a visible offense such as that should be eliminated, correct? Briefly, the searing flash was tuned out as the Tamer applied pressure via her palm on it’s origin, the location where the spine ends, interest consumed by the new player to enter the ring. Flickering her narrowed crimson hues down to the unknown glyph etched with her own scarlet into the carousel's metal tiling, confusion hummed in her conscious. D...did I….summon it..? Is that why...it isn’t attacking..me? Lifting her gaze to rest back on the snarling lesser, it soon became apparent that it was guarding her, that it knew exactly the state she was in...both a terrifying and comforting concept.

Opening her mouth to give this peculiar ‘summon’ a command, Aura barely had any time to recollect her poise as another wave of burning sensation hit, far more intense than the last few. Unable to contain her agonizing discomfort, another shriek erupted in the silence, the summon releasing a warning snarl at it’s foe in response. Sinking her canines into her lower lip, the palm spread across her spine now balling into a fist, the Tamer made vain attempts to quell her suffering wails. Of course, vain should be noted as the keyword, the inner struggle pinning any sense of rationality on the losing side. Faintly registering in her mind, Aura felt a thin trickle of her life essence trail down her chin, the pain of the delicate skin being broken not even close in comparison to the greedy invisible flames licking her skin. That’s when she felt a hand on her shoulder, the cries briefly ceasing.

It appeared to be a comforting motion, a gesture to indicate that someone was here to habor her through the torture, but it had the opposite effect. Eyes widening in startlement, Aura retrained her rubies to connect with slate grays, the latter containing a pleading urge. “I know you are in pain but you must cease this endless cry,” whispered out concerned tone, the volume at a whisper, “Think of something painless. A happier time that will heal your wounds and overcome the pain that you bare just now. If you do not the lesser demons will only continue to attack.” With a hard swallow, this woman’s words resounding with the detached, logicalistic portion of her person, the tamer went through the motion of sending the vaguest of nods. “Breathe easy, think slowly. The pain won’t last.” Drawing in a shaky breath, lungs wavering, the human attempted to follow the demon’s instructions, with a small yelp soon ending the peaceful session. It...surely feels...as if it’ll last bit out her snippy inner thoughts, knowing all too well that her words would have been lost the second she summoned them. Curling in on herself, Aura’s tapered fingers grew even tighter into fists, her pain only expanding in discomfort.

In fact, she was so preoccupied with trying to block out the venomous sting, that the tamer didn’t even register as the woman stood from her guardian position. It wasn’t until she heard a growl of annoyance that she lifted her gaze, a small inward gasp given in response to the scene awaiting her. This woman, this god only knows what she was, created a barrier to block out the original attacker, the dumb mutt who was currently ramming the entirety of his body against the force. It wasn’t until she turned to the summon, the one beast that was protecting her, that a flash of alarm resonated. After all, Aura had felt as if she owed the creature some form of life assurance, as she owed thanks for shielding her. Lips parting, her frail voice floated out, so delicate as if it would be carried away in the wind without a second thought, ”Do..n’t...hurt...him…” Unclenching her right fist, the human reached two fingers, her pointer and middle, before dabbing them in the fresh blood of her busted lip. Taking the crimson painted digits, she sluggishly smeared the glyph she had made earlier, the summon effectively vanishing into midair. As soon as that mark was erased, Aura felt her body slump, darkness swarm in on her line of vision and her conscious slipping into nothingness.

Yeuri

Yeuri’s hands had never left his pockets as the small group approached the entrance to the abandoned amusement park. His eyes scanned over the premises somewhat flippantly, making small notes here and there, but otherwise keeping his main attention on his Mistress. He would have time to further inspect the area at his leisure, but for now his focus was required elsewhere.

At Bavol’s inquiry as to what type of plan they had for hunting the demons, Yeu simply shrugged, cool with whatever the others would decide. He kept a sharp eye on his Mistress’ form as she strayed further up ahead, however, externally his attention appeared to be slack and his body language was relaxed and uncaring.

“This place is so boring and dead… it‘s like one big corpse altogether.” At Bavol’s comment, a leisurely smirk draped across his lips and he nodded his head fractionally in agreement. As she settled herself on the ground, the faintest of frowns edged along the corner of his mouth- he didn’t particularly like the prospect of her sitting so out in the open. However, his faint displeasure was soon forgotten as the leftover trio walked over to where she sat.

As Bavol and Astaroth conversed, Yeu really only lent half an ear to them; the remaining part of his attention was focused once more on the decrepit “amusement” park. It was a joke, really. None of the buildings or attributes even whispered the slightest hint of entertainment, even when Yukon pictured the place up and running. The whole thing was pathetic, and the single fact that no one had even bothered to demolish the place was a bit of a surprise. But then again, had the place been destroyed, Yeu wouldn’t be faced with the pleasant task of hunting down and massacring the Lessers that prowled about.

While the park had lost its initial usefulness, a new purpose had seemed to be born for it through the havoc-wreaking Lesser Demons, and Yeu could definitely appreciate that fact, though it never really crossed his mind in its fullest context.

“Best kill them when we see them - never know if they might move or try to run.” Yeu’s mind refocused on those before him, and at Astaroth’s comment, a bit of a feral smirk pulled at his lips, ”The chase is part of the fun. He shook his head with a cruel grin, soon dropping his comment and becoming serious once more as Astaroth moved and offered the small map to Bavol, after mentioning the part of land he wished to cover.

As his Mistress looked over the paper, Yeu casually walked over and stopped at her side as she offered him the map. He took it carefully, his eyes scanning over the page and tucking information within his mind. ”Yeu, where will you go? Maybe it is time I showed a little more initiative as a Prince. I think this time round… we can handle going our separate ways to cover more ground, you know? I still expect you to remain in one piece without me though - ok Yeu!”

He smirked with amusement, though no dislike was harbored within his eyes, “It’s not me you should be worried about~” The light undertone of teasing threaded its way through his words, and he flashed her a wry smile. While he did hint towards her own safety, the majority of his thoughts were on the place itself. The amount of destruction that could be wrought upon the old rusty place was a thrilling prospect, and mischief gleamed within his eyes.

His gleeful musings were cut short as Bavol spoke up once more, announcing that she’d be taking the right side of the park. Yukon simply nodded, motioning to the bottom portion of the map and what was left over, ”If you have need of me, you know where I am.” He watched expressionlessly as the Princess of Air zoomed off towards her intended place, soon turning his attention to Astaroth. He smirked good-naturedly at the man.

Luck. With that simple parting word, he split from the dwindling group towards his own destination.

Once Yeu had left the group, it seemed like he was the only living thing in existence. His senses were on high alert, but as he continued to walk in absolute silence, boredom threatened to break his focus. An irritated look presented itself on his face, and he gritted his teeth softly. He wasn’t an impatient person, but after about fifteen minutes of wandering in solitude, he was beginning to question his choice of area. I swear, if I chose the only section that doesn’t have any damned Lessers in it, I’m going to-

His irritation was cut short as he suddenly heard the fierce roar of some dark creature approaching as he continued forward with a bit more enthusiasm. Something or someone had definitely pissed the being off, and a twisted grin of mischief met his lips. It’d certainly be a show.

As he came upon the assumed scene, a look of piqued interest lit his eyes, and he sidestepped close to a nearby tree that looked like it was dying. A couple of bushes stood before him, but it was easy to see over them to the small surprise that raged several yards ahead of him in the clearing.

A large, apish behemoth pounded its massive fists against the ground, its tail thrashing wildly and uprooting the ground and tossing clumps of earth in every direction. The horns that protruded from its head curled much like a ram’s would, though the tips pointed slightly back inwards towards the beast’s temples. It was hideous- that much was obvious, and it seemed to be throwing a bit of a tantrum as well as flashing its colors a bit. However, what had really caught Yeuri’s attention was the much smaller girl who faced the beast. A fiery head, probably with a temper to match, was breathing heavily, obviously having taken quite a bit of damage from the spar.

It had looked like quite the interesting match, but when he noticed the broken blades strewn across the grass, he let out a simple, “Tch,” in disappointment, but it wasn’t that big of a surprise. Yukon could see her lips moving, but he did not bother to listen or guess as to what she might have said. He had figured he might as well step in and drive the creature into the ground, as he could hear loud roars echoing from different areas, signaling other prey to be had.

He made a motion forward, but suddenly stopped as a very familiar feeling weapon materialized within her grasp. His pupils immediately narrowed and he tilted his chin up in a calculating manner. It was then he realized that something was different about her. Now that he focused in on her, he could look past the presence of the Lessers and realize that there was another demonic presence, albeit one that was rather faint in comparison to what the beasts gave off. The little bit of information ticked at his mind, but he did not muse further on it, turning the thoughts of the girl having any otherworldly connections; Besides, it might well just be that the musk of demonic creatures had managed to rub off on her, or more likely, the demonic blade she held within her grasp.

With silence and a practiced hand, the twins that clung faithfully to his hips were unsheathed, the metal still managing to gleam darkly even though it was night, and not much light was presented in his current location otherwise. He gazed over the demon with the smallest of breaths, his pupils narrowed to thick slits. He was searching for any points of weakness in order to make quick work of the thing. His gaze swung across its shoulder-blades, and a very sick smirk of satisfaction danced across his lips. Even if it wasn’t the best choice of a weak spot, he’d make it so.

The beast pounded against its chest in anger, only a little offset as to the appearance of a demonic weapon. After its initial hesitance, the beast seemed to have become even more enraged at the sight of the large, cursed blade. The Lesser frothed at the mouth, spittle dripping from its maw and splattering the ground with dark colors. Its eyes were hard and filled with hatred and they focused like a laser on the being that dared to threaten it. Its tail thrashed once more, smashing down close to the wall and causing the already decaying material to tremble. Small cracks splintered up from its base, and there was a very good chance of it becoming rubble fairly soon.

It raised its arms high into the air, intending to crush the human in front of it, and it let out a loud roar while doing so. However, before the beast could even flinch a muscle, a dark blade was suddenly lodged right between the creature’s shoulder blades, buried to the hilt, and with no warning other than the soft whistle that the sharp edge created while it sliced through the air. Chains of an unknown metal were wrapped tightly around the cross-guard of the blade, engulfed and dripping with what seemed like ink or smoke. The entire line of metal dripped the substance onto the ground, tinging it with little puddles of darkness. The blade itself ran parallel to the beast’s shoulders, hooking into both muscles.

At the split-second moment of impact, the beast let out a bellow of anguish, but that was hardly the end of it. The second of the twins was swift to follow its brother, thrown at a bit of an angle for it to arc as it sought out its mark. The blade hit the sturdy limb of the demon’s back leg, the slack length of the chains following behind it, but the weapon swerved at impact and wrapped itself around its leg, slicing it twice along the round before lodging into the hard flesh of the creature. This one had no hilt, but rather was simply the blade, connected to its source from the flat bottom.

That same self-pleased smirk of glee remained on Yukon’s face as the sound of flesh being torn open made its existence known on the scene. Taking in a deep breath and holding it for a moment as he shifted backwards, metal links wrapped in one hand and a hilt in the other, he leaned back a bit, placing his foot sturdily against the trunk of the tree. And then he pulled backwards.

Blood had been pooling from the wounds of the beast, but the black substance that dripped from the chains also seemed to have made its way into the cuts and gashes, preventing them from clotting and repairing. The first blade seemed to have some strength of will, or hooked sides, as it did not slide free from its position as the chains were suddenly held taut, but rather pulled the shoulder-blade flesh and consequently the arms back with it. The beast had been caught off guard, and had never even got the chance to have another go at the girl as it was suddenly forced backwards off its feet to fall upon its back.

The second twin, held secure in the beast’s meat, forced the leg up and backwards, successfully keeping the Lesser from truly regaining its stand and balance; not only this, but when the demon tried to roll forwards to sit on its legs, the blade stuck in its back pulled at the muscles and tendons and forced the arms back down. It was almost humorous- the body of the cursed creature squirmed like a turtle turned on its back, though with quite a bit more rocking. The anger of the beast was palpable, but then so was the desperation to keep its life. It tilted its head back to gaze back at the clump of trees and bushes, letting out a fanged roar. Before the creature got smart enough- though unlikely to happen in this lifetime- to stop flailing around and gain its bearing, one last blade twisted through the air and sunk right between the Lesser’s eyes, the horn tips seeming to point straight to where the metal lay staked into the brute’s brain.

Not a fraction of a second was wasted, and Yukon pulled himself forward from the tree, approaching the stilled form of the creature. The chains lay slack upon the ground, though they seemed to begin to reel the closer Yeu got to them. As he passed the head, he ducked down to simply wrench the dagger from its resting place, wiping the flat of the blade clean on his pants as he continued forward without pausing. He retrieved the second twin from the back leg of the demon, though how he did it was a mystery. As the blade reattached to its hilt, the ram’s head set in the center of the cross-guard seemed to be inhaling the strange substance that had emanated from the chains, seeming also to extract it from the blood pooling beneath the beast.

The partner of his sword, however, he left, as it was underneath the bulk of the beast, still hooked into the dead flesh of its back, pressing its pommel against the earth. His gaze was entirely locked onto the fiery haired girl a few feet from where the dead demon lay, and he closed in on her with an unreadable expression and with very quick steps. Blinking once, the metal of his dagger pressed very, very gently against the soft skin of her neck, letting fresh blood appear and pool fractionally at the incision from the blade.

Yeu was close to her, having absolutely no care as to personal space whatsoever, his mouth close to the back of her jaw and the lobe of her ear. He inhaled deeply, and his lips pressed into a smirk. ”You have tainted blood.” His remark was rather blunt, merely an observation, with nothing special in his tone. He was simply stating a now-obvious fact, confirming his previous suspicions. This girl definitely had hellish blood coursing through her being.

Vincent Price

The human world was overwhelming since his last foray into this realm. Perhaps, even more so this time around as the scents of greasy foods and a nauseating combination of rust and oil invaded the sensitive snout of Jackal. A low whimper escaped the dog-like creature’s throat as his nose assaulted by the sickening stench that would be appeasing to humans, yet was an utter hell hole for this hound. Swiping a battered paw over his snout as if trying to make an effort to block out the smells, while trailing behind the hunting party..With all the distractions it was very possible that the hound would be of little help when the inevitable combat came into play. There were just too many distractions for the creature to sniff out like any canine in his situation would do, regardless of who’s feet he laid at it was a common problem his natural instincts. Finally the group came to a halt and began dividing sections with the help from Astaroth’s map, it was a blessing in disguise as Jackal partially collapsed in an undignified way into the dirt as his defenses against the smells finally was overcome and the hound merely admitted defeat to the human realm. Feeling nauseated that even the slightest movement of his furry skull made the world swim before his eyes, yet thankfully his other senses were not overcome by the human scenery.

Opal colored eyes wearily eyed the airy Prince who appeared determined enough to walk on her own without her normally ever-present bodyguard. The demon seemed content enough to have a thimble of confidence in his charge and set off in another direction, obviously determined to find something to maim. Now with only himself and Astaroth alone, a faint whine escaped the hound's throat as the demon would possibly find the hound's intestine's interesting if the hound vomited in front of him. Not wanting to take the chance of getting his internal organs rearranged and then having his tract sewn back together by a less than gentle Vincent, the hound took his chance and eased himself to his paws and trotted after Yeu, determined to put a few feet between his tail and the deprived Astaroth who did gods know what if suffering from boredom.

A few minutes seemed to pass as Jackal managed to catch up with Yeu who seemed to determined enough to find a target. His nerves still on edge, the loping creature merely observed the demon. His stature and weaponry gave him a dignified posture of a warrior, yet why with his talents would this warrior choose to stay in 'honored' position as the bodyguard to the sloth-like Prince of Air. Snorting in disgust at the various second-hand accounts provided by his own bespectacled Master, who was less than appreciative of the lazy Prince. His own ears shot up in attention as an earth-shattering roar ripped across the park, prompting his warrior to bound away with surprising speed. Growling in his own frustrating as the hound trotted as fast as his paws could carry him in his sickened state.

By the time he managed to step into the bloodbath of an area where a foul-looking behemoth of an ape lay dead from multiple wounds, a blade still stuck it in gut. Yet, the carcass was not his main focus of his muddled senses as he perked up his ears to caught the conversation between Yeu and the 'human?' girl. The demon was taking a serious risk in invading the personal space of the human..Who knew what she was capable of. Within moments of hearing ”You have tainted blood.” from the bored voice of You, that was something his Master would be very interested in.

Shaking his head clear of the overwhelming smells, the hound took a very daring risk that could result in a very bloody mess, both political and personal. Bounding toward the pair with surprising speed, his tongue lolling out as he sprang into the air running it over the small pool of blood running onto the dagger against the girl's neck. With a none to graceful landing, the hound merely panted once at the pair before bursting into grey ashes.

Inferno-Vincent Price

Within minutes, his bleeding paws slammed against the wooden flooring of the Library much to the disgust of several on-looking attendants who would have to clean the floors once again. Finally reaching his destination with a loud exhale as the beast collapsed at the feet of his Master's desk who merely looked over his book with little interest. Vincent's patience wore thin as the large creature began to whine in a pathetic way with his lengthy tongue soiling his floor with drool and..blood? Arching a brow as the man merely withdrew an obsidian colored book from his desk, the front with characters of an unknown language with silver coating to them. Going around his desk, Vincent swiped a spare handkerchief across the lolling tongue of the beast, observing as the crimson liquid greedily sucked into the pale cotton fabric. Placing the cloth on a winter-white page of the mysterious book, as the title page slowly began to form words like in blood-red ink as the name Ryuu Shosuke formed.

Cold blue eyes merely blinked at the name with little interest as the meniscus amount of information from the Jackal's mind and the specimen's blood began to fill in the once blank pages. A faint smirk appeared on the man's face as an odd fact appeared on the pages..The human girl was half-demon. How interesting..It was not very common for demons to spawn offspring with humans. Well, at least for the offspring to survive. Pushing his glasses up to his face, Vincent barked a few orders to passing attendants for them to search for their current records of any 'relations' of his kind and Humans. This could be the beginning of a very different type of search..

A loud whine disrupted his thoughts as the soiled muzzle of Jackal pressed against his knee yearning for praise. Gently stroking the rough fur of the beast with his free right hand before Vincent asked the beast "Now how exactly did you get this interesting sample..hmmm Jackal? I would hate to have any unwelcome guest ranting that you molested them..." The beast merely snorted and rolled his eyes at the comment before settling himself at the feet of his Master. The man in charge merely propped open his newly discovered book and slowly turned the pages..This was an interesting day indeed.

Ryuu

Ryuu risked the chance to look in Nathaniel’s direction just as he laid the finishing blow to the demon snake. She pushed back the demons apes’ fist, swinging her sword in an arc as she herself was pushed back from the ape’s fist. “Yes, please hurry and find Akio and make sure he’s with Julius and Evangeline! I trust his skill as a swordsman but he isn’t ready yet for a fight with a lesser demon. Although he can hold his own he won’t last long so make sure he doesn’t kill himself in trying to have fun. I’ll deal with this one and go find Aura, so hurry up and go!”

Running forwards once more, Ryuu raised her sword prepared to cut at its side as it raised both its fist to crush its incoming target. Just before it was able to move even an inch, for Ryuu to side-step the attack she knew was to come the demon ape went rigid. Raising a brow, red orbs caught a glimpse of a sword running parallel to the creature’s shoulders. What in the world?{ The demon bellowed in pain, causing Ryuu to tense while her hands went to her ears to help block out the sound. Grimacing Ryuu took steps back unknowingly. Even after the creatures’ bellow of pain quieted down she could still hear a loud ringing in her ears. “Dammit.” she said under her breathe.

Shaking her head, Ryuu saw that second blade had lodged itself in the demons flesh. This one had no hilt of any sort and was more of a simple piece of steel than an actual weapon. Chains wrapped around the creatures leg, as well as a black substance that at first she thought was smoke was something different, something she had no knowledge of. Creasing her brow, Ryuu watched as the demon ape was pulled to the ground. It made attempts to get up but with the sword at its back and the blade and chains around its leg kept it from moving anything. Realizing how hard it’d be for a person to pull down such a large creature, Ryuu looked around hoping to catch a glimpse of the man behind this act of total domination.

The demon stopped thrashing only long enough to let loose a roar as it looked back in search of its assailant. However its roar was cut short as a small dagger flew to the air piercing the flesh between its eyes. Eyes widening ever so slightly, Ryuu brought her sword up so it was now parallel to her body the moment a man showed up. He plucked his dagger from the between the Lesser’s eyes as the chains that were once slack drew towards him. The blade with no hilt was no longer just a blade but a sword with a hilt that had a rams head design for the cross-guard. Tilting her head to the side in question, Ryuu blinked a couple times in hopes what she saw before her was merely a trick of her eyes. The black substance seemed to be sucked in by the rams head cross-guard.

In that moment Ryuu was no longer paying attention to the man before her. And she realized to late of how close he had gotten to her. So fast? A gasp of surprise escaped her lips upon the cold prick of steel against her necl. Ryuu could feel his lips close to the back of her jaw as he inhaled deeply; frowning in confusion the first words he spoke to her sent a chill down her spine. It took her a short moment to comprehend what had just happened and to understand the weight of his words, “”You have tainted blood.”

As she finally understood what had just happened, rage erupted deep within her being as her eyes narrowed. “You bastard!” she snarled in response. Turning her grip on Chomesku, Ryuu changed the direction of the obsidian blade so it would push him away from her. Just as she was pushing him away something came running out of nowhere. From her brief look at the creature it was a disgusting thing that she assumed was a dog of some sort. Ryuu could feel it’s’ hot breathe on her neck. Taking a step back Ryuu swung her sword in the direction of the dog-like demon in hopes of adding distance between her and it. While it did land a bit away from her it wasn’t by her actions. With a simple pant of its breathe in their general direction the Lesser went with a poof, leaving only grey ashes to ride the gentle breeze that passed through the park.

Her anger forgotten in the heat of the moment, with the Lesser now gone Ryuu placed her hand alongside her throat. She could feel warmth seeping through her skin. Glancing down at her hand Ryuu saw a smear of blood but it was very little thankfully. He only nicked me. Why? He could have easily killed me with his dagger. Looking back up at the man before her, Ryuu had already guessed he wasn’t close to human considering how fast he moved. “I should say the same about yourself. You’re not human, no human being could have possibly moved that fast let alone get so close without me noticing. I hope your prepared to lose a limb. I don’t appreciate being cut while being told my blood is tainted by the likes of you.”

Glaring at him, Ryuu raised her sword in a somewhat offensive position. But it was to where she could easily shift its placement to block an attack coming from him if so dared to do so.

Nathaniel nodded to Ryuu, he did not bother to hide his loss of flesh from the bone of his left forearm. It was odd, he could still use it and he didn’t seem to be in pain or perhaps he was just blocking it out. Seeing the current situation as more important than his own limb.

So he ran, fast, he even leaped into the air and made a ramp of ice to travel even faster, his eyes glowing as he used his own abilities as well as his soul sight. He looked around at the soul trails from every individual's unique soul. He quickly found Akio’s soul trail and from his ramp of ice, like a wave of crystallized water that shone in the moonlight he descended.

As Akio came into view, so did the monstrosity of a lesser demon, if not deformed animal tainted with unimaginable evil that he knew well and never thought it would find him again… He pushed his reminiscences aside, they were even pleasant and focused on the creature.

He leaped onto the charging creature, stabbing it on the top of its head with his gunblade. The creature only emitting a low growling whimper before its eyes rolled back to the back of his head and died. Nathaniel ripped his weapon from the creature the next and looked at Akio for a moment. He was about to talk when he was stopped gripping his chest in immense pain, blue mist coming from his mouth, soul mist. He let out a few staggered groans of pain before actually speaking. “A-Akio… We need to find Eve… Julius and Aura… Before… I expire.” He looked away, frowning and mumbling to himself. “I was too focused on protecting everyone that I forgot my own limits… Damn it..” He walked to Akio, slowly putting his shaky right hand on one of his shoulders, the other hand on his chest. Blood, his own blood running down his leather armour. “W-we need to hurry… I can see their souls from here Akio… Trails of their existence, but this is not time to understand… It is the time to find the others and get away from this unusual… battle ground.

Nathaniel suddenly fell to his knees, panting, he watched as from the blue soul mist came from his lips formed a ethereal orb that crystallized and fell in front of him. He, with a shaky hand, grabbed the crystallized orb and smashed it against the ground. He was emitting agonizing groans of pain, forcing them down so to not cry out in pain. This made his own body shake, cheeks reddening from the force of silencing himself and he was sweating. He staggered back onto his feet, panting words out. “Need… to go… now..

Bavol

The shadowy beast showed no sign of retreating - the prolonged assault made against the barrier that kept both Bavol and the lesser demon at a safe distance from one another continuing as the lesser demonic creature stubbornly threw itself hard against the force field surrounding the young Princess. Blindly, if not stupidly, the beast charged into the barrier with little thought.

”Do..n’t...hurt...him…”

From behind herself Bavol could only just vaguely make out what the fragile human had said at that moment; the female demons attention refocusing momentarily in the direction of where the girl hid herself before drifting over towards the other lesser demon that shielded her. That creature? The girls words both intrigued and surprised Bavol - she could in some way understand the young humans desire to protect the creature that was defending her from harm; and yet at the same time she could not so easily spare the life of a lesser demon in the heat of a battle - not to mention eliminating the lesser demons was more or less the sole purpose for her presence in the human world at any rate. Should she opt to act out from her task would not please Satan in the slightest. Protect that which protects you. It makes perfect sense but I cannot merely assume that the lesser demon will likewise spare me. Bavol thought just then, evident doubt expressed as she lowered her gaze with raised eyebrows. I‘m suppose to destroy lesser demons - that is all.

Before she knew it though the lesser demon which had consumed many of her thoughts had vanished just as easily as the creature had appeared. The Princess could only conclude that the girl had intervened and found some form of strength within herself to gain control over the beast once more, thankfully. I‘m glad she managed to overcome that demon of hers - I feel better in knowing that the responsibility does not fall onto me. Promptly returning her attention back onto the other lesser demon Bavol forcefully used the barrier to push back the beast and create some distance between them. In the passing moments the princess used another wave of air to bring the beast down to the ground- the little demon wasn't that powerful to begin with - as it’s shadowy body hit the surface hard as the burdening weight of wind came crushing down upon it.

When enough pressure was applied the lesser demon could not take much more as it’s entire being - quite literally - burst into pieces from beneath the mountain of air forced down onto it; a shadowy mist left in it’s place briefly before evaporating soon afterwards and floating away in the breeze.

With the battle - if it could be called that - coming to an end Bavol took a small step back as her entire body slumped down tiredly onto the ground to sit for a moment. “I am sure glad that is over with!” She sighed, relief evident in her voice as she took a heavy breath. “I ought to thank you.” With a heavy puff of air exhaling from her lips the young female gradually got to her feet before curiously approaching the mysterious human that she knew to be remaining hidden behind the bench.

On closer inspection however the human did not even seem conscious.

Settling herself down closely beside the girl Bavol gently placed a hand on the humans shoulder once more, as she had done previously, before giving the girl a light shake. Her keen eyes watched over the human female whilst doing so in hopes of catching even the slightest glimpse of life - if any - that may have still stirred within her. “Little girl… can you hear me?“ Bavol called quietly with the hopes of receiving a similar response from the girl that lay slumped in a motionless state. “The demons are gone now… the amusement park is a little safer now thanks to you. That is quite impressive, eh?” She whispered with a hint of amusement. However, when she did not get an immediate reply from the human the young demon could not help but grow rather concerned over the girls welfare at that moment - the demon becoming somewhat anxious over the situation that she found herself in. What do I do? What would other demons do? …I don’t really know. I don’t want to just abandon the girl out here… After all who’s to say that more lesser demons wont appear? Gazing warmly towards the unconscious human Bavol found an unusual sense of contentment developing somewhere deep within herself at that moment; the reasons behind the confusing emotion left as a mystery for the time being.

Maybe I will stick around for a bit. Couldn‘t hurt. Then the princess got an idea.

“Heeeey. I know exactly what to do - I can be the Yeu to you; as Yeu is to me! I can be mysterious, cunning and wickedly cool! You‘d be in very safe hands then.” She said in a rather excited tone of voice as a sudden sense of enthusiasm filled the demon. She even tried to replicate the same charming yet menacing stares that her subordinate typically gave - not to her of course - but she knew plenty that received such a stare. “I‘m pretty sure I could pull off that I couldn‘t care less look that he usually gives folk…”

All the while as she spoke Bavol could only hope that the girl would eventually regain consciousness. The demon didn’t really know how else to approach the situation; not to mention the lack of actually conscious company didn’t seem to bother the demon either. She was perfectly use to chatting to herself now and again - it was rather fun in many ways.

“Don‘t worry little girl I‘ll watch your back till someone turns up. You wont be alone, especially with those demons out there…” She mumbled before casually glancing over the side of the bench that the pair kept hidden behind. “If you can hear me, my name is Bavol. You just keep relaxing there - I‘ll keep watch.”

Akio Yamada

Once Akio got serious the only thing he would focused on his opponent that's was until something crashed down on top of the beast Akio was fighting, killing it almost instantly. After having his opponent insta killed for the second time was more then enough to snap Akio back to himself. Akio stood there with his mouth out in awe for a few seconds then quickly dropped to his knees and began to repeatedly punches the ground. "You have got to be kidding me! How does this happen a second time?!" Akio would continues his demoralized Rant until he heard something that only add to his crappy day.

“A-Akio… We need to find Eve… Julius and Aura… Before… I expire.” Even though Akio spend as little time around him as he could, he knew that was the voice of Mr. Jenova and from the sound of it she wasn't doing that well. Akio made it back to his feet and reluctantly begin walking over to him, the closer Akio got the more and more he felt "it". Begin blind his whole life Akio had a knack for reading people, but Mr. Jenova was like trying to read a book whose words randomly change every 5 seconds to Akio this was very off putting to the point it made his skin crawl. "W-we need to hurry… I can see their souls from here Akio… Trails of their existence, but this is not time to understand… It is the time to find the others and get away from this unusual… battle ground.”

Akio perked up after hearing the others were OK, at least that what Akio though that's what Mr. Jenova said. Akio slowly kneed down next to Mr. Jenova who was covered in the heavy scent of blood. Akio let out a sigh, "I'm guessing you'll lost way too much blood to walk.....well that or you took a blood shower" Akio reaches down and takes hold of Jenova right arm and places it over his own shoulders helping his back to his feet OK, come on, we have to follow those soul thingies and find the others. Akio and Mr. Jenova slowly moves through the amusement park after awhile the awkward silences finally Akio couldn't stand it any more. Sooooooo what kicked your butt?

As Akio helped him move he watched as as blue mist continued to flow from his lips, dissipating in the wind like hot breath on a cold day. ''D-damn it... How many did I use?'' He mumbled to himself in a pained tone, he was shaking like he would fall to the ground and start convulsing any moment but he didn't he just hung onto Akio and kept moving in the silence, his pained groans came on staggered like someone had dumped him into an ice bath. But he in temperature was on fire as he was not allowing himself to rest... which as this point meant to give up a life to start a new... Like a reset but he would still hold the ever expansive knowledge. But his body would be whole again. Perhaps in a lot of pain from resurrection as well as weakened from the loss of souls which was the price of his abilities.

He looked up, panting some as he followed the soul trails that belonged to Julius and Eve. He was silent at first with the question and as he answered it was probably too vague to understand or begged to be looked into more. ''My limitations Akio...'' He put his left ripped and torn arm out to catch the same crystallized orb with his hand and then smashed it on the floor. ''That is t-two....'' He said to himself as a mental note before gripping his chest again. His veins blackening as he continued to hold on to this expiring life that was well gone.. He just needed to make sure everyone was safe before collapsing on them all.

Soon after many moments of pause as Nathaniel stifled his cries of pain, his steps getting slow at times they finally made it to the area of which Julius and Eve were in... Along with a few lesser demons and he groaned as he removed himself from Akio and he held his gun blade in his left screwed up arm. He looked at Akio and spoke as he made a shielding wall of ice in front of them. ''I... need you to stay here... There a-are more... I need to dispatch them... Eve and Julius are here... Stay.''

He turns and walked with a small stagger to the front door of the Rest stop bathroom area where Eve and Julius were held up, he could tell from Julius' soul trail he was not conscious as he marched forward, beheading the first demon that was bashing against the bathroom door only to be stabbed in the lower back by a monstrous clawed hand. He staggered, coughing blood and he looked at the hand protruding from his gut and his pointed ears twitched to the animistic cackle behind him. ''D-demons... I can't seem they keep coming back...'' He arced his back and ice spikes came from his back, stabbing into the demon behind him, ripping himself free from the creature he spun around and shot it in the head. He then fell against the wall beside the bathroom door, using his weapon to hold himself up. Coughing blood up yet he didn't complain... He only spoke to Eve. ''E-Eve... w-we need to go now... r-right now...'' He looked at himself, frowning, he hoped she would freak out... considering his left arm was maimed and their was a gaping hole in his mid-section. He was not freaked out from it... He had been through worse but well... these were humans...

They wouldn't understand.

He smashed another crystallized orb on the concrete floor with a frown. ''Still... more... This is going to be hard to explain....'' He groaned to himself, tears at the corners of his eyes but they didn't fall and he actually had the expression of pain on his normally inexpressive face which meant he was in agony... Eve would know this... She seemed to know more about him than the others but she wouldn't know of his resurrection and so forth.... No one did apart from himself and perhaps his mother... vacant as she was at this day. He grabbed the bathroom door out of frustration and... ripped it off its hinges. ''Please! Eve! We need to go! Now!''

Yeuri

“You bastard!” At the accusation, Yeuri merely blinked with a casual smirk to his face. Another previous assumption confirmed- she had a fiery temper, just like her hair. He had leaned back a bit so that his eyes were almost completely focused on her face, interested as to her responses. However, at the motion of her hands, his intent amber gaze was torn from her eyes to watch as she turned her blade in what he expected was to be a cut to his person, but was instead a blunt press by the flat of her blade in attempt to push him away from her.

His gaze was calculating, but the smirk on his lips spoke amusement at both the fact that she didn’t actually try to attack him, as well as her somewhat naïve notion that she’d be able to force him off his feet or off his center of balance. He humored her by taking a few small steps backwards, though he didn’t underestimate her prowess, nor the look of hatred that burned at her facials.

However, as soon as he had shifted away from her form, a low creature suddenly sprang forward out of nowhere from behind him, somehow managing to jump high enough and keep its limbs close to its body as to not knock the girl over. It took Yeu only a fraction of a moment to register the creature as Jackal. As the familiar had sprung forward seemingly out of the air, Yukon had unknowingly reached out his hand in attempt to pull the creature back by the tail, but it was more of an immediate reaction than anything intentional. He had of course missed, due to the creature’s speed and his distance from the almost-collision.

Yukon knew that had been no accident nor a motion for mischief, and by the almost cheerful look to the familiar’s maw as he panted and the lack of cry from the woman, it also had not been a move to deal damage. Before he could really find a conclusion from the beast itself, Jackal suddenly disintegrated into a puff of grey ash, and with it a hardened look filled Yeu’s face. But now that he had lost his object of focus, his attention was recaptured by the half demon from the sudden movement of her hand to her neck where he had let her blood seep.

It clicked in his mind rather quickly, but he pushed aside his musings for the time being. “I should say the same about yourself. You’re not human; no human being could have possibly moved that fast- let alone get so close without me noticing…” He stood quietly and let her make her obvious statements, however, at what she said next, ”I hope you’re prepared to lose a limb,” Yukon’s eyebrow rose, suddenly interested in just how she would manage to do that. ”I don’t appreciate being cut while being told my blood is tainted by the likes of you.” However, as this woman finished her bold statement, an almost cheeky grin made its way to his harsh facials.

”So you’re saying that you get told this a lot by all sorts of races who cut you?” Hard mischief flickered in his eyes, and a smirk tugged his lips up. It was obvious by the sheer context of his words that he was simply making light of the situation, pushing and prodding at the woman to see how she would react to verbal pokes and jabs.

However, Yeuri straightened up as she brandished her sword. A feeling of exaggerated patience- much like one dealing with a small child would have- filled his mind as she actually backed up her pointless words with the motion of her blade. However, no hint of the rather distasteful expression showed on his face.

”There are more important matters that call my attention, and it is merely a waste of time to spar with you while these things stand. That is, unless you’d truly like to risk further damage to both earth and body- your own as well as the other humans here- by trying your arm against mine.” A challenging smirk teased at the corners of his mouth as he looked down on her. He truly only saw her battle request as a means for entertainment, he didn’t even consider her anger or her own challenging tone as serious.

She was a Halfling, she had the disadvantages of human restraints and that made her weaker than he. While she wielded a demonic weapon, he did not truly expect her to know how to use it to its fullest potential, nor did he think the cursed blade would work well alongside her human half. While he would be more than interested in seeing what she could do, and to see her live up to her words, other Lesser demons still rampaged, and if there were any others in his district, he wanted to take care of them quickly and return to Bavol.

The human world was extremely interesting and begged for more of his attention, but he truly did not like being away from his Mistress for so long, plus they only had so much time. It was unwise for the both of them to try to maim the other, especially since they seemed to be after the same end. But if this woman truly demanded a fight and would not let him leave in peace, he would take up arms against her and humor her request. However, if she thought better of it and saw the logic of his statements, then he would force her to show submission and retract her threats.

He used the time given to him while she mulled his points over to return to the side of the carcass of the demon ape. He looked over it blankly, suddenly figuring it might be a bit difficult to shift the beast enough to get at his blade underneath.

He turned to give the red-headed woman a glance, ”So, what shall it be?” He smirked subtly as he regarded her.

Aura Thorne

“If you can hear me, my name is Bavol. You just keep relaxing there - I‘ll keep watch.” shattered the inky vastness that Aura had been experiencing a few moments prior to words, threads of consciousness leaking back into the forefront of her mind. Slowly lifting her eyelids, a certain drowsiness to them that was doing all but urging the action along, it took a few heartbeats for her crimson orbs to focus on command. Wha… where...am..I? questioned her sluggish thoughts, confusion apparent at the memory gap in which her location was masked. Taking all of the time in the world, the tamer allowed for her surroundings to settle in before giving the command for her body to stir. Apparently.. I’m laying on a grubby carousel… at...an amusement park…? How...peculiar… Attempting to sit upright, a sharp pain radiating from her low spine effectively induced a small inhale of shock to be emitted, her stature immediately freezing. Oh deary… thats...not...good.. Keeping rigid at the waves of agony, her conscious quickly flitted over the various options and routes in which she could take. Out of all of them, it was most appealing choice to lay with her stomach heavenward, as she was before. Bloody hell….what did I do..?! following the resonating inner voice, Aura pursed her lips in concentration as she thought back on the woman’s comment.

”Bavol…? I’m Aurorali… though… most call me Aura… Thank you for watching.” whispered out her feathery tone, a wariness keeping her on a visible guard. Lifting her gaze to take in this stranger, her savior, the human couldn’t help but have her lips part in a shock response. Perhaps it was her white hair or her ethereal appearance but something wasn’t quite normal about the newcomer...something not human. Without really meaning to, her thoughts somehow bubbling out, Aura locked gazes in a clash between crimson and slate before speaking, curiosity giving life to the words. ”What are you, exactly..? I-I don’t mean to be rude or anything...but...” Attempting to switch positions once more, a quiet gasp was given once again by the golden-haired girl as the pain, from the exact same location once more, flared. Groaning out in defeat, eyes screwing shut at the discomfort, the Tamer finally muttered out in a rhetorical question, ”What..happened…?”

God..first Julius then me..before you know it, we will all be out of commission- Oh my! Suddenly, the girl’s eyes flew open in a mix between shock and concern, the events up to her fainting spell occupying her attention. My teammates… where are they…? More importantly...did they make it...to safety? On instinct of thinking about every negative scenario possible at the current moment, Aura bombarded the woman with question upon question, her tone flighty and breathless. ”B-bavol-! Have you seen others, like me, around!? There was..um… let’s s-see.. 2 boys and a girl?! What else….o..oh..they were loud too! One had a lion, the other had a sword and the girl, the girl was wearing gloves…!”

Eve sighed listening to the sounds of chaos outside these walls. Things were purely hectic and she could do nothing, verses and prayers could only go so far until fatal verses were learned but, these were rare and akin to pulling a needle out of a haystack. Running a gloved hand through the Captain's hair Eve tilted her head back and fought the wave of depression that came from being in a dark cramped space. Even though she wasn't exactly alone the fact the he was injured, or at the very least depleted of energy didn't help much. Gently Eve lifted his head off her lap as she stood up so she could pace, it always did help her nerves when she moved around. Listening to the sounds of the demons and the lesser spirit fight what she was assuming her teammates made her feel like an awful person. How could she be a part of a team when she was clearly demonstrating that she was a coward who couldn't be of use to anyone? Sighing Eve brushed off some dust from her slacks and was about to pick up her bible to see what she could do to help once more when she heard the tell tail signs of a person approaching. Moving in front of Cap Eve wondered what she was going to do when she truly was defenseless. Not a weapon in sight, nor an idea of what verse to chant for the demon.
XXXXX Shock hit her when it was her beloved Mr. Jenova. Her first reaction was to lunge for him like a scared child, only then did she see the horrendous agony and suffering on his visage, the bones of his arms and the wide gaping hole in his midsection. Cramming her hands to her mouth Eve tried to hold back a cry of suffering on his behalf. He looked like hell and then some. Finally did she allow her eyes to trail back to his visage to notice that his lips were moving. Slowly crawling out of shock she caught the tail end of his words “..go...r-right now.” Nodding her head. Eve went to Cap in a stupor, moving to sink she cupped her hands and collected ice cold water dropping on Cap Eve had the feeling it wouldn’t work. Attempting once more Eve wound her arm and cringed right before she slapped him hearing the sound of her leather glove hit his face Eve winced and said a pointless “I’m so so so terribly sorry about that.” only she felt once more on the negative side, of this not working and prepared to drag him once more, unless that slap really did work.

Julius King

Julius had felt his consciousness fade before experiencing the empty sensation of pure nothingness. He was aware that time was passing, but was unable to move, hear, see or anything of the sort. His thoughts turned to his familiars, Regulus in particular, after all the lion could very well be draining his life away instead of simply fading out of existence without his energy sustaining it. At the very least, he remembered the team being separated before he'd lost consciousness and that was definitely not a good thing.

A sharp stinging sensation across his face brought him back to a dulled consciousness. During the time he spent blinking stupidly to properly wake up, Julius registered he was wet and had in all likelihood been smacked. It was his best guess as to why the cheek stung while his body just ached as a whole. The first figure his eyes settled on was the Aria, his rescuer from all appearances. Instead of laying on the ground, he made an effort to get to his feet.

" Thanks for the save, and if you'd tell me your name again...I'll make sure to remember it this time." Julius took a bit of time to look around, short of a collapsed teacher, he wasn't able to see anyone else. He chose to look on the positive end, Regulus wasn't rampaging, the Knight and the female Summoner could be addressed later. Right now, his first priority was to get those himself and those nearby out.

"I'm not ashamed to admit that I had underestimated you, in truth I didn't expect you to end up having to babysit me...though I'm happy to be wrong this time around. It means you're stronger than you think, if I had to compare things to my initial impression. However I think that's a talk for later."

Julius's instincts were telling him that he'd need Aja again. He was having a hard enough time just standing, fetching the teacher and keeping up with the girl weren't happening at this time. The horse would cooperate if he or someone else managed the reins, but he wouldn't be able to see straight upon summoning...someone else would have to drive.

" You wouldn't happen to know how to handle a horse, would you?" His earlier attempts of simply trying to throw his weight around and do things his way didn't work. This left him having to do things slower and talk more about his thoughts more openly.
