♦ INTRODUCTION ♦

It was the Goddess of Equipoise who created the three dimensions, Aurae, Inferno, and Earth. Aurae followed by Inferno were her first creations, but the powers of the angels and the demons were hard to balance on their own, so in order to maintain the separation of the worlds, the Earth was formed as a buffer between the two. At the height of her power, the Goddess maintained the barrier between worlds and kept all but the most powerful and high ranked angels and demons from venturing beyond their boundaries.

The Goddess kept balance amongst the dimensions for countless years, until thirst for power of a particular family in Aurae began to corrupt the once pure dimension. The corruption of the holy realm weakened the Goddess and the barriers broke down, opening rifts that allowed any angel or demon to venture to Earth. A war broke out as the opposing forces met, a battle between angels and demons in which some fought for power and others for peace.

Seeing that this war was tearing apart the worlds and knowing that she no longer had the power to carry on, the Goddess broke herself apart and placed her remaining power into creating two Primordiums – one embodying Aurae and one embodying Inferno. These two beings closed the rifts and set in place barriers that could only be broken in their death. The Goddess’s final words warned any who would try to destroy their own Primordium; if anyone of the same race destroys their representative Primordium, all of their kind will be destroyed.

To the victimized citizens of Earth, wracked with the destruction of a war not their own, the Goddess left them a warning prophecy and bid them prepare for the day their world would be threatened again: “From the mergence of the greatest powers of Aurae and Inferno would come a creature that would break down the barriers, draw together the Primordiums and bring the Earth to the brink of destruction. But this creature will be the only one capable of achieving Equipoise and restoring true balance.”

Thousands of years later, the Satan who rules Inferno and the once great Seraphim who ruled Aurae met on Earth, fell in love, and, against all laws of the worlds, conceived a child. Made up of components of both Aurae and Inferno, the child’s existence created a paradox that weakened the barriers and opened rifts once again. Unable to exist in either world, the child had to remain on Earth, unaware of what she was to protect her from those who would aim to destroy her and restore the barriers.

Now, nearly old enough to understand what she is, the child attends True Cross Academy, a school secretly dedicated to preparing to face the horrors of the prophecy. Angels and demons are already on the move, motivated by their own ends, the war between Aurae and Inferno threatens to begin again.

♦ SETTINGS ♦

♔ Aurae ♔

Upholding righteousness and duty, Aurae is a land of pristine order and a strictly aristocratic social structure. Order is strictly maintained by the overarching power of the Seraphim, a holy leader who is voted into power by a council of the eldest influential angels. The city sectors are populated by roads and small buildings, the majority being houses and gathering places as there is no need for commerce, are all built up with the same interweaving of gold decorated bricks. The roads are a collection of bleached cobblestones, smoothed by use over time. Night is unknown to Aurae, which is endlessly lit by an unchanging wispy white sky with no specific origin of light and only slight fluctuations to mark the time set aside for rest. The harsh whites are broken up only by the vibrant flowers grown in garden courtyards scattered generously throughout the realm.

♛ Inferno ♛

Despite its name’s reputation, Inferno is quite the opposite. There are nine circles of Hell that are more web-like in structure, the circles shooting out from a central realm where Satan resides. Three circles cluster around another central realm where a Prince resides. A loose hierarchy is in place where Satan is the ruler and is advised by the Three Princes. Although it was originally called Hell but after the war for unknown reasons their worlds name was changed to Inferno in hopes to relieve the tension that arose when one thought of Hell (Inferno). However because of the current Satan’s previous acts as Satan has led to opposing parties to gain favor and grow in number. There are those who wish to destroy Satan as well as his ideals but there are also the few who stand with Satan on his ideals of unifying the worlds.

✝ Earth: True Cross Academy, Fidel City ✝

The moderately sized city of Fidel is built around True Cross Academy, the northern district is more suburban and has parks, the malls and businesses are on the eastside and as you go further away from the school the area’s slowly turn to a more rural sense. It is currently the late fall and all of Cram school is taking the entrance exam to becoming an Exwire.

True Cross academy is overall a large school made up of three buildings. The main building being the school itself which makes up most of the size put together. It sports a Japanese theme exterior and interior design. One section of the school is dedicated to all of the clubs which is further divided into smaller sections for the smaller division, one of the more notable and large of the sections being the sports clubs. Of course the school has its own courts and indoor/outdoor swimming pool, track field and three gymnasiums.

The second largest building that is to the left of the Academy is the housing facility. As its name states, this building is specifically for those who chose to live on campus if they didn’t meet certain requirements to live at home (being too far, living alone(optional)) unless your parents thought it better to keep you on campus then at home.

And finally the last building which is also the smaller of the three; Cram school which is in some ways a bit rundown, mainly due to the fact that it being a cram school is just a front. The true reason behind this building is that it holds night classes for exorcists in trainings otherwise known as exwires.

♔ Angels ♔

Believing themselves the supreme good justice of the three worlds, the embodiment of goodness, they generally look down on humanity and demons with a sense of pride and superiority. The rankings of angels in Aurae are organized into a strict hierarchy. Upward mobility is often the leading life goal of many citizens. The classes can be ascended through proving one’s skills and loyalty in battle or in impressively fulfilling the duties of one’s current class. Classes are not inherited from parents, but it cannot be denied that those with well-known parents receive more attention and thusly gain faster recognition for their work. Ascension of class is dictated by the Seraphim either through personal observation or based on suggestions from archangels she trusts. The Seraphim is also able to strip angels of class and power as a disciplinary tool.
Rewards of gaining higher classes include the ability to make a pact with any form of creature to summon as a familiar, an increased number of wings, and greater capability to make a pact with a holy weapon to summon as desired.

{First Class} Powers: Members of this station are top advisors of the Seraphim, generals, mainly remaining in Aurae. As well as advising, Powers organize and command Archangels. They are rewarded with the option of having two pairs of wings. They can summon a familiar and up to three weapons. They also have the special ability to sense the presence of an individual angel at any distance as long as they are in the same realm, and can create temporary portals between Earth and Aurae at will. At close range they can keep tabs on up to ten angels, being aware of any injury they sustain. They are the fastest, strongest, and are privileged with knowledge the Seraphim keeps from others.

{Second Class} Principalities: Acting in a sense as captains, Principalities are responsible for creating military groups out of their selection of Archangels and leading missions to Earth. Their opinions and ideas are considered by the upper classes are valued, but it is unlikely they will address the Seraphim directly. They have a certain level of power to give orders, but large plans require approval. They are rewarded with larger wings and can summon a familiar and up to two different weapons. Beginning in close proximity, they are able to form a link with up to five angels and can then track their location and communicate orders. They fly faster than the lesser classes and have sharper sight to oversee battle.

{Third Class} Archangels: Archangels act as valued members of military, specially selected soldiers. They are not allowed to give orders unless the Principality dies on mission, but they are powerful enough to act on their own if necessary. No wing change is rewarded for this level, but they can summon a familiar and up to two different weapons. They are faster and stronger than common angels.

♛ Demons ♛

The king of Inferno, Satan is merely a title given to the current demon who rules over Inferno. The title can only be given to the “winner” of Eligendo (Latin for Tournament) by the Relic, the source of Satan’s power. Satan rules Inferno with an iron fist and is the first demon of such a high title to have loved an Angel and the Seraphim at that. Political ties have been shaky due to this scandalous act but none can truly go against the word of Satan. He acts as the guardian to the Relic making sure nothing bad happens to it and over all oversees all of Inferno.

{Demons;} Demons; spirits of evil, violence and darkness, all demons originate from Infernos and obey Satan. Though they originate from Infernos often times they will walk among the earth in human form or possess the body of another. Most demons hate Angels and devour the souls of those they possess over time therefore becoming stronger. But even in human form certain aspects of the human anatomy will be off. For example sharper canines, pointed ears or perhaps even a tail or small horns.

There are two types of demons, those that are told in story books and those that humans and Angels alike have called devils; Superior Demons. These demons are capable of a humanoid form and capable of intellectual thought unlike their savage brethren, lesser demons. Superior Demons have enough power to go to the human world though they have to have permission from Satan to do so. Superior Demons get around by passing through a gate in Satan’s Circle where the other end of the gate appears wherever they wish to go to, although there are a few places demons aren’t allowed to enter such as holy ground (i.e Churches)

There are three demons that every demon in Inferno simply could not know, The Three Princes. Also known as The Three Pillars of Hell, they are the next strongest Demons in the realm as well as candidates for the title of Satan. Each of them are of equal strength but each prince is different. They act as the overseer of Inferno with all Nine circles of Hell spilt between the three of them. Whichever circles the Prince watches over is part of their personalities or a weakness of sorts, each hold two traits of the Seven Sins most often associated with their Circles. Usually only one Demon Prince goes to the human world at a time though there have been a few instances when all three go to the human world but only during critical moments. The Demon Princes are the only demons aside form Satan who have their own gates to the human world and appear wherever they wish to go to however they must inform Satan of their leave though this rule is not always followed. However if a Prince were to leave Inferno they are often forced to limit the amount of spiritual power they are allowed access to. Meaning demons with strong spiritual power are told/forced to wear collars or some sort of accessory that unless broken, limits the amount of power they use. Mainly due to the fact that they often destroy things too quickly and it allows them to pass as human if they wish to or to even go under the radar of an angel.

There are also common demons who are Superior but do not hold flashy titles such as Prince or Satan. Under the jurisdiction of a Demon Prince they often have a single trait relating to the Circle of Hell they came from. They make up the army of a Demon Prince and must follow orders; not doing so can lead to death. There are usually two common demons who serve directly under a Prince acting as their body guards or personal servants.

{Lesser demons} don’t have the ability or the access to travel between the worlds. Lesser demons go to the human world via a summoning circle or if a Superior Demon brings them along. Animalistic in nature lesser demons think of nothing but causing havoc around themselves. They are often called upon as familiars by exorcists in the human world. However due to their destructive nature and being a demon from Inferno whoever summons them must be able to control them least they turn on their master.

✝ Exorcists ✝

Exorcists were created to prepare for the impending return of demons and spiritual creatures, as well as dealing with any who are strong enough to come through the barrier, but not all exorcists are only anti-demon, but also anti-angel. Religious sorts, anti-demon, pro-angel. So there is a tension between people who want to free the world of evil demons, and those who want to free the world from any kind of otherworldly interference. And being a school for exorcists in the end the chancellor of the school along with a few other high class exorcists have made sure that barriers are set in place to keep lesser demons from entering school grounds. Unfortunately the barrier doesn’t help much in preventing spiritual creatures with malevolent intent from surfacing within the school grounds.

Each exorcist specializes in the way they exorcise a demon/ spiritual creature and even fewer know of how to “exorcise angels”. The first title they are given before becoming an Exorcist, the individual begins as a Page, learning the most basic elements of exorcism and demonology. The next rank is an Exwire, a rank that is above a Page. To become an Exwire, a Page must pass the Exwire Authorization Exam. The exam consists of the Pages secretly being put to a test of defeating a demon by working together; the exam also tests which Meister a Page categorizes in. Exwires usually do menial jobs like cleaning a demon's cage, and helping to collect samples, etc. However, they still study Demonology.

Essentially the most basic qualification for any aspiring exorcist, the term meister refers to the particular combat skill(s) an exorcist possesses. While many choose to specialize in only one area of combat, it is possible to obtain a meister in more than one category. There are four categories of meister:

{Tamer:} Exorcists who can summon and control lesser demons/spiritual creatures to fight. These beings are called 'familiars '. In order to summon a familiar, a magic circle is needed; it can be drawn on the ground or on paper, or even tattooed onto the Exorcist's skin. The meister then draws their blood onto the magic circle and recites any words that come into mind. However, if the magic circle is erased or torn (on paper), it loses its effect and the familiar disappears. It has been noted that the talent to be a Tamer is rare, since sheer spiritual fortitude is needed to tame the being; natural talent is also essential. However, if the Tamer lacks confidence, the familiar will attack the meister. Tamers can summon more than one familiar at a time and multiple Tamers may summon a single powerful being.

{Knight:} A meister who uses a sword to fight. Meisters that have the title of "Knight" are shown to use demon blades as their weapons though it is rare to find ones of good quality. However there are few who choose this meister as it requires one to fight in close-quarter combat.

{Dragoon:} Meisters that fight using guns. Dragoons are notable in that they fight using modern weaponry as compared to the Knights and Aria. Within this field, exorcists can fight using anything from handguns to rifles.

{Aria:} Many demons have weak points known as a "Fatal Verse", in which an exorcist recites a specific passage from holy scripts that could potentially cause their death. An Aria fights by finding a demon's "Fatal Verse" and recites holy texts effectively, ranging from the Bible to other holy scriptures. Arias must have a talent in memorizing, however they are completely defenseless; as soon as they begin to recite the demon's "Fatal Verse", the demon will attack the meister to stop the recital. There are two types of exorcisms, one that banishes whatever creature back to their own world, and one that destroys them entirely and only highly trained individuals can perform the destruction exorcism and more often than not the retrieval of said verse is dangerous.

2) This is a literate RP. Expected frequency of posts will be one a week, so please take your time to observe proper grammar and aim for at least 600 words in length. If we notice that you are constantly misspelling words or use incorrect grammar in a way that shows a lack of care, we will ask that you leave should you not be willing to put in the proper effort.

3) Please do not join if you think you might not be able to keep up or if you’re the type to go half way then leave. If I think that is the kind of player you are, I will not hesitate to remove you from the role play after two weeks has passed without informing us of your absence.

4) Check OOC’s regularly and make sure you are doing what it asks for (if anything) before you post, or for anything in general. That way you don’t end up doing something completely against what I had asked for in the OOC and then you’re stuck with a GM who is irritated thinking that you ignored what she said.

5) Swearing I know is a habit most of you have. I do it myself but I can't expect you to suddenly go cold turkey can I? Just please censor yourself. I would appreciate minimal cursing, if you must cuss at all. And please no f-bombs or anything of that serious degree =w=;

6) God-mode is inactive. If you are going to control another's character I need that character's owner to tell me in OCC just so it's official, that or pm if you must. If I think you are god-modding I will remove you from the role-play should you ignore my first warnings.

7) I am not new to role-playing. I have been role-playing for a decent amount of time and although I do not consider myself anywhere near professional, characters are to be as detailed as possible. This is a given to most role-plays and if you cannot give me details via a character sheet, how do I know you will be able to put out in the role-play? This might seem unfair or whatever, but all I ask is that you give me details. And please, for the love that is all, do not create a Mary-sue/Gary-stu. I know that it can be a bit difficult to not create one, but please do refrain from doing so. If I suspect a Mary Sue is in our midst, I will warn you once about the areas that need correction and if they are not fixed after that then I’ll have to insist you leave.

8) Please obey the rules I have set up and we shouldn’t have a problem. If, for any reason a rule cannot be obeyed, or you find yourself in a conflicting situation, remove yourself from it or ask for assistance. I do not bite and I am more than willing to lend a hand should you ask for it.

9) Remember who the GM’s are in this role play. Our word is law, if you can’t handle someone giving you truthful feedback that ends up asking that you change a lot, then do not join this role-play. Which leads to any and all edits asked of you or when to clarify something better in the OOC. That way future readers won’t be confused on what’s going on if they didn’t read the OOC posts.

10) When reserving a character please list what spot you will be taking and the gender of said character. To prove that you have read these rules please add to which side you will be on. Black for Polaris, White for Kuro and Grey for both and an animal of your choice that has not been used. Once character is complete please inform us in the correct thread with a link to said character so both of us may have a look.

Satan Azrael

There was a certain man who sat on his throne, with his back slouched and an incredibly bored face that held a faint smirk on the corners of his lips. The way he sat on the throne gave off the idea that he was an arrogant and cocky bastard who owned the whole place. The first part was untrue of course but the latter couldn’t be further from it. You see the man, no the demon, who sat on the throne was none other than Azrael, a Superior Demon who was now Satan of the world he lived in that was known by many as Hell but by its inhabitants, Inferno.

Before him sat the Three Pillars of Hell, two of whom were Princes, who were currently at war with one another and a Princess, who was rather young and the first female in a very long time. Azrael rolled his eyes at his potential successors and couldn’t help but allow his thoughts to wonder to his daughter and the report he would be receiving towards the end of the day of her. He was glad his most trusted servant, Cerbin had agreed to watch over his daughter sixteen years ago but he feared the idea of her powers awakening especially at this point in age.

Rubbing the bridge of his nose, Azrael allowed his mind to wonder once again but this time deeper into the past. In his mind’s eye, he saw the woman he fell in love with. It surprised even him that he could have actually fallen in love; after all he represented the sin of Lust. She was quite the beautiful woman back then, with her long flowing locks that cascade down her small waist in silvery curls and those knowing green eyes that almost seemed to look right through you. When he first saw her eyes, a chill had gone down his back and once again even now a chill crept down his spine. His smirk exchanged itself for something akin to a smile but it was different than what most have seen. It was a loving smile unlike his others that showed his predatory cunning and lust. But now after all these years he was no longer the demon he once used to be.

He became more like a man who had settled down permentantly with his family, thinking this Azrael snorted. I have no family, my wife is presumed dead and my daughter is beyond my reach. shaking his head to rid himself of such thoughts, Azrael straighten a bit in his seat and cleared his throat to gain the attention of his Princes. However two of them were focused on bettering the other in a war of words while the youngest simply sat like her sin described itself as. Rolling his eyes, Azrael cleared his throat again but once again was ignored. Now it was starting to get to him as he glared at the pair who continued to ignore their king. “Enough! By that is tainted, enough with your arguments. There are things that need to be discussed.”

This seemed to have caught their attention and a cruel smile formed on his lips. “Good, now onto the topic at hand. The rifts have opened after nearly 500 hundred years of them being sealed by that damn woman those angels call a Goddess. It seems the lesser demons are being summoned once more by the humans again and they are getting caught up in their wars. Not that it matters much to seeing as they are merely lesser demons but a few have gotten loose form their tamers and before they make things worse between us. I would think one of you three would have sent someone to catch them and bring them back. But I guess I have to do everything on my own.”

His short speech now being over, he looked at the Princes awaiting their own reports from their Circles. Knowing his mentee, Chikyu probably had things under control. Just as his appearance spoke of himself, his actions added back up to his rough looks. The younger demon was quite the savage when it came to dealing with those who didn’t follow his orders but unlike those who held the title in previous years. Chikyu didn’t flaunt it to get what he wanted, something that Azrael very much appreciated but that also meant that Chikyu often took matters into his own hands and punish those who went against his however he pleased. He rubbed the bridge of his nose again as an oncoming headache began to form. He took a sip from the wine that was set on a table beside his throne and he felt like he was forgetting something, something that hung at the back of his mind, almost like a nagging mother. Azrael simply pushed it back and ignored it. Little did he know the source of his power, the Relic, was giving him a warning. A warning that meant in the next few days everything he had done to make sure his daughter released her power under the guidance of her guardian was all for naught.

Ryuu

An almost unavoidable figure strode down the hallway of True Cross Academy. Long fiery hair trailed behind her graceful steps forwards accompanied by a crisp white dress shirt with the first few buttons undone and black slacks and boots. Ryuu drew many stares to look her way, whether it be from her brightly colored hair and the scowl on her face or her curvaceous and tall body, Ryuu wasn't sure at this point. Taking long strides, the red hair woman covered ground pretty darn quickly and she walked with purpose. Glancing around she could see the sun was slowly lowering itself from the sky as its bright rays of sunlight kissed the tops of the trees that surrounded the school's campus. Good, looks like we'll be ne doing this in the last hour of daylight with how things are going now.

Removing her eyes from the beautiful sight outside, she focused on the direction she was headed towards, the Cram School. Today would be her first day as an official teacher but since today was also the Exwires entrance exam she would merely observe the group of students and see if they were well enough to pass. In her arms she carried files on all the students who enrolled in Cram school. But you see Cram school wasn’t what everyone thought it to be, in reality it was where a student could take classes in becoming an exorcist; humans who specialize in exorcising demons, spiritual creates and rarely an angel. Anyhow back to the topic at hand. Ryuu leafed through the student files and one in particular caught her attention.

Aurorali Throne, the smaller girl showed great promise, was a hard worker and Ryuu saw a natural talent in summoning. Which meant the girl would most likely go in as a Tamer with the rank of Exwire. Leafing through the files again this time Ryuu came across a student she had heard quite a bit about their family. The Yamada Clan was known for the brutal and violent tactics even more so than Ryuu's own clan who consists of only females and the occasional spouse. Akio was his name and like Aurorali, he showed potential but unlike Aura the kid actually had some experience under his belt. However whether or not he was a good team player was something Ryuu wasn’t too certain on. Then there was Evangeline DeCaprio who was one of the few Aria's the program had. She had an excellent memory but a terrible habit of depending too much on the others. Glancing back up Ryuu pushed open the doors to exit the main building and headed down the walkways passing beautiful courtyards and eventually got herself in front of her destination.

The Cram school wasn’t all too big compared to its brethren next door, in truth it looked a bit run down. Few people have actually used the old building for its supposed purpose but it was just how it should be. The things students learned in there was dangerous as well as something kept hidden from the rest of the normal human world. Right human thinking this Ryuu let out a snort of contempt and entered the building. Glancing at the watch on her wrist Ryuu realized she was late to the class she would be leading. Bursting into the classroom, Ryuu looked at all of them and knew that most wouldn't be able to handle what was to come.

The room itself was relatively large but those who were interested in the art of exorcisms and such took up about a quarter of the space. The classroom had several rows that stretched to one side of the room to the other, sort of like an amphitheater. With the exception that this “amphitheater” was a tad bit run down. There were stains and scorch marks towards the front of the room but they were more noticeable on the small platform where a teacher would stand and give lectures. Few knew what those stains were but many told the tales of summoning’s gone wrong and the like, and at said platform stood Ryuu herself as she looked over the students who would be going onto the rank of Exwire if they passed the exam.

Many of the students wouldn’t pass the test or would drop out due to the level of difficulty that came along with the course, often saying it was too much work and dangerous. But then there would also be that one group or team to be more precise that would stand out amongst the others and pass with flying colors due to their teamwork and varying expertise’s; which was what Ryuu and the other teachers were looking for, the group that showed teamwork would be the one that would pass the test to becoming an Exwire. Clearing her throat Ryuu straightened as she began to address the class about today’s lesson, of course none of them would know that it was the Exwires exam and it would be considered cheating if they did.

“Alright ladies and gentleman, listen up today will be the first time you will be working on your own in small groups. Today’s lesson is to capture and or drive away an evil spiritual creature. There approximately several of these creatures but today we will focus only on the ones at a certain location. The hunting grounds where you will carry out this lesson, is at Fluor Amusement Park. Do not worry about the civilians as the park has been closed for the past seven years. But do take in mind that it is an amusement park and Fidel City will most likely renovate the place later on so please try not to destroy any of the buildings or rides. Now hurry along now, get into groups and we’ll take a bus ride to the park” with that being said, Ryuu left the classroom to prepare for the buses departure.

The bus ride was uneventful, many of the groups formed were made up of close friends but there was one group that was made up entirely of oddballs. The ones the other students have deemed useless in this sort of lesson. Looking down in her lap again, Ryuu read up on the group of oddballs which consisted of Aura Thorne, Akio Yamada, Evangeline DeCaprio and a few others that she had trouble finding their files for. Needless to say they were indeed an odd group but the meister job they had chosen made up the differences. They had tamers who would summon a familiar to protect the Aria’s while they recited the “Fatal Verse”, the Knight who would probably finish the job in the end after the Tamer’s did their job of protecting the Aria and dealing with the evil they were up against.

Releasing a sigh Ryuu found that group far more interesting than the rest and so once they got off the bus to go their separate ways in groups, Ryuu chose the group of oddballs as her subjects; curious as to how they would fare against their opponent. While following them Ryuu paused just long enough to catch up on the reports the other teachers made on the groups they shadowed. From what Nathaniel had told her his group wasn't doing too well. While Cerbin's group was the only group that had found their target and weren’t doing all too well in dealing with said target. Getting ready to give her own report that meant nothing was happening, a feeling arose in her gut alerting her of the sudden presence of spiritual energy. The only difference in this energy was the fact that it had a rather evil intent but it was relatively weak so it wasn’t a demon. Which could only mean one thing; her group had come across their target. How they would handle their business was up to them as they would have to act as a team in order to get the spiritual creature before them.

Akio Yamada

A light breeze would blow through the courtyard of True Cross Academy , Akio spent most of his free time sitting under one of the many trees that lined the courtyard. even if akio only had a few minutes before he had to be in class he always enjoyed them. back home he had no free time if he wasn't sleeping , or eating he was out "training" with his mother. well at lest she would call it training , Akio would call it getting beating into paste while someone yelled at you to fight better .

Akio could hear the other students as they made their way to the Cram school building , Akio let out a long and depressing sigh. he couldn't afford to be late again , the "i got lost" excuse only works so many times even if you are blind . Akio would reach over and pick Batto no nayami no tane up off of the ground beside him, one of the many advantages of being blind is Akio could carry a sword around at all times and most people would only see a Long Cane. As Akio made it back to his feet he heard a set of familiar foot steps , "it's really uncool for you to bother me on such a nice day sis" .

A rather tall young woman stood before him. the family resemblance between the two was striking. the only noticeable difference was the young woman had a very upset look on her face, well that and the fact they didn't share the same gender. "Batto! Did you forget the arrangement you made with mother and father to allow you to come to True Cross Academy?" Akio smirks "nope I remember." Akio trying to mimic his mother's voice the best he can, "in order for you to attend True Cross Academy you will have daily training session with your elder sister."

The fact that he was mocking their mother only seemed to upset his sister more. "then why have you not showed up for a single one?!" Akio begins to walk away, "that's easy.......... I lied!" She sister reaches out and grab hold of his shoulder, "Mother is going to be upset when I tell her that, you do realized this." Akio turns his head has if he was looking back at her, a huge smile would slowly start to form on his face "YUP!" He then quickly pull away from her "As much as I enjoy talking to you sis, I don't want to be late for class." Akio say this with a heavily sarcastic undertone.

Akio like attending True Cross Academy, but the one draw back was he could bum into anyone of his older siblings at any time all of which where just like his parents. every single one of them seem to always yell at him for something or another . As Akio walks to The Cram school , he would lazily have his "Long Cane" out in front of him. He didn't really need it to get to Cram school . Akio made it a point to keep track of where he was going at all times . He only used his "Long Cane" so he didn't run into any one.

soon he would hear a thud, Akio knew that sound was his "Long Cane" hitting the door to The Cram school building. Akio stood outside the door for a few minutes, he placed his "Long Cane" under his arm as he adjusted his gloves, wool ski and coat. To most people walking into an air conditioned building was not big deal but to Akio it was the worst. 5 or 6 degrees feels good on a hot day, but to Akio it was like walking into a freezer. Once he was ready Akio opened the door, and took his "Long Cane" from under his arm and made his was to the row of seats. Akio was not in a very social after his talk with his sister he was hoping that the days lesson would take his mind off of it. after waiting for a few more minutes the door would Burst open. Akio knew exactly who it was in an instant, only one teacher at the school would command such respect entering a room........ it didn't hurt that some of the other students were saying her name in a hushed tone also.

Now hurry along now, get into groups and we’ll take a bus ride to the park”

As soon as Akio heard Amusement Park he laughed to himself. when he was younger he would have killed to go to an Amusement Park, but training always came first. He though it a bit ironic that his first real exorcism was at one. soon after the announcement the students formed their groups and where hurried to the bus. Akio sat in the back of the by himself. Akio would be lying if he said he wasn't a little upset about how the grouping when. because of his Personality and "handicap" most saw him as a liability, and didn't want him in their group. when it was all said and done he was stuck on a team with the other cast offs . Most people would be discouraged by this, but not Akio if anything this harden his resolve. Once Akio step off the bus he was ready to go kill some demon.

Bavol

I wonder how long Mister Satan plans to keep us here. I don‘t really enjoy being kept in one place for long… not whilst still being awake at least. I can‘t complain can I? Not without feeling his wrath most likely. I suppose a nap is most definitely out of the question…

The young girl sat obediently though her thoughts were elsewhere. With an ever-so-common lethargic slump in her slight stature her eyes were clearly struggling to keep awake whilst she attempted rather feebly to focus on the looming figure in front of her - that figure of course being Satan; their leader and ruler of Inferno who had summoned the three demons before him presently. With the faintest motioning of her shoulders her long frozen mane of white layers of hair flowed effortlessly downwards to the tips of her waist and beyond, clinging to her sides like a winter blanket and delicately tickling the open areas of flesh that she allowed to be shown and causing the young demon to smile quietly to herself.

The young demon in question of course was Bavol; The Princess of Air. Unlike many before her, she was the first female to hold a title in a very long time. And even more surprising the demon from whom she had obtained the title from was no other than her very own father - the former Prince of Air - Io.

Beside Bavol sat the other two princes; The Prince of Earth and The Prince of Fire. The pair never seemed to see eye to eye nor did it feel as if they ever wished to make peace between themselves. The curious female could not help but wonder as to why the two demons always acted this way. Intriguingly it was as if the two males never tired from their arguing. However regardless of their relentless quarreling Bavol sat almost oblivious to the entire thing - her mind trailing around elsewhere as usual and unaffected by all of that which took place round about her in the actual world.

I wonder how Yeu is amusing himself. I cannot imagine this is any more enjoyable for him than it is for myself. Pity. I so truly wanted to cause mischief today. Of all days, especially today. I had a special plan set out and everything… it would have been fun to just relax for once, me and Yeu. He really needs to chill out more - Oh the joys of seeing such a sight!

Bavol gave a slight pout in response to her thoughts, carefully tapping playfully at her chin as a gradual smile crept onto her pale face. Though being one of the Three Pillars of Hell she acted like any other juvenile demon and such behaviour often caused some to question her role as the Princess of Air. Upon hearing Satan clearing his throat twice - a bid no doubt to gain the three demons attentions - the young demon raised her weakened eyes slightly to gaze at their leader.

I‘m beginning to wonder what this is all about. Are we being punished? Ooh, perhaps rewarded instead. We have been good Princes and Princess, have we not? Well... that could be a tricky question.

A moment later Satan spoke, “Good, now onto the topic at hand. The rifts have opened after nearly 500 hundred years of them being sealed by that damn woman those angels call a Goddess. It seems the lesser demons are being summoned once more by the humans again and they are getting caught up in their wars. I would think one of you three would have sent someone to catch them and bring them back. But I guess I have to do everything on my own.”

The rifts are opened… after almost 500 years it has finally happened? No wonder Mister Satan brought us here.

Bavol thought quietly to herself as she keenly listened to what the elder demon had to say. Of course it began to feel more like a slight telling-off than anything else towards the end of his short speech - the young demon unable to suppress the displeasured pout that curved on her lips.

”I‘m sorry Satan.” She said politely though without much thought at first - an attempt at an apology to their leader without actually meaning to voice it. Then again such a thing was expected from Bavol, out of the three demons at least. The girl slowly glanced over to the two princes whilst her voice grew faint, awaiting for either of them to speak up.

A moment later she continued, ”Well I can safely assure that nothing new has arisen within my circles. Everything is ship-shape, as they say. I put it all down to my faithful subordinate Yeu, he does his job ever so well~” The girl giggled in a rather joyfully manner as an evident sense of pride hung on her every word when mentioning her loyal follower; Yeuri.

Evangline DeCaprio

Eve promenaded down the walkway leading up to True Cross Academy as she enjoy the brief moment of being outside, after all seven hours of it was just spent learning, it had to be a crime to spend her day inside any longer. Today truly was a lovely evening, as the sun's warmth was grazing everything around her for just a tiny bit longer, and fleeting rays basked things in a exquisite glow. Wandering up the steps to the "cram school" building Eve turned around to admire her home. The school really was rather ornate with it's impressive gleaming white buildings that were painted in the swirling colors due to the fading sky, and it has elegant archways that feel so regal it makes her straighten her spine and carry herself a bit taller as they lead up to the main building. Nonchalantly Eve glanced around to ensure that no one was watching her, when the coast was clear she spun around a few times with her quiet tinkling laughter subsequently after each twirl. Once her fun was over Eve glance down at her watch and gave a sigh, it was time to for the "cram school" portion of her day.

With the soft echoes of her heels clacking on the well polished floors following her every move, Eve swiftly carried herself down the halls and into the room, moments after Ms. Shosuke entered the room followed by her saying that today we'll be working in the field. It took a moment for the severity of those words to hit her and replace the idea that Mr. Jenova wasn't here. When that happened Eve just looked at her for a very long moment, eyes smoldered with disbelief as insecurities washed over her tide after tide. Thoughts along the lines of I can't possibly remember every word that I'll need or what if I slur and it doesn't work filled her head as she went to get on the bus. Finally she pulled herself away from those poisonous thoughts and replaced them with I can do this. They need me, we're a team, I can do this because they need me. With her resolve fixed and her mind appropriately disciplined Eve wondered just how this was going to work. Thinking strategically demons didn't exactly have Proverbs 28:13 written on them and deciding with one out of the thousands to use will be such a pain. Really she needs to observe what the demon is doing, how it attacks and such, only the problem with that is how... the others will probably jump right into attacking the thing and there goes any and all possible chance to see how it naturally acts which is key to figuring out which verse is it's fatal verse. Saying anything else but the fatal verse only brings attention to herself and makes things more difficult.

Eyeing her team Eve wondered if the traditional approach is the best one with Aura Thorne, Akio Yamada, and herself being the main players it would be rather difficult to take on the demon with one of them protecting her, the other really doing all the fighting as she chants a verse. No it's rather stupid wasting even one person, when only three are able bodies. With that thought in mind Eve drew up a plan... Perhaps it was a bit reckless not to have someone protecting her and sure Eve can't fight, but she can dodge and if it doesn't work... well teammates help each other out, not pull each other down.

So one the bus stopped Eve tugged at her blazer, set her shoulders back, took a deep breath, and glided over to the others with the first thing out her mouth being "I'm Evangline but call me Eve, and I hate to do this to all of you but I think we need to go against our training for this. We're one of the smaller groups and we can't spare a single person. I need to analyze the demon first so let it do what it does for a few moments then we all coordinate an attack on it. Meaning I say my verse our tamer summons and Mr. Knight acts knightly, that way it won't know who to go for. If it does pick me because I'm the weak link... well my legs and such aren't attached to my mouth. Realizing she just kinda dumped an idea on them without considering if they have ideas or not she gave a sheepish smile and awkward laugh then added... "Unless any of you have ideas you'd like to bring forth that is."

Julius King

Julius had found himself one of the first to enter the designated meeting area for the upcoming spirit class(hopefully a practical because he was tired of lectures). It was mostly due to his skipping a class of minor importance but the detail was insignificant. He took advantage of the situation by finding a spot that gave him sufficient view of the room and its passing. The interior allowed him to scale up to said vantage point right on the sill of one of the windows. From there it was the waiting game...and Julius hated waiting. The passage of time was agonizingly slow, and it would still be a time until those with normal schedules would be let out to join those who were free at this time. Julius didn't even attempt to conceal a yawn when he had this realization. He'd been up the past couple days refining a new seal design: a simple triangle inside the standard hexagram in the circle. He'd hoped a geometric resonance complimented by pertinent scripture would enhance the overall binding. The summon in and of itself was a weaker species- a ram to be precise, but neither Hebrew or Biblical script had a noticeable affect with the flow of summoning energies. He'd attempted both Latin and Greek script, his inability to actually read said script might have interfered with the process. His musing over these details resulted in him sleeping while on his perch.

When Julius began to wake a significant change in the room's atmosphere had taken place. The room felt...bigger and eerily silent, like a knife had been pressed against the throats of the occupants. Despite being to groggy to make sense of the situation his eyes were drawn to a red head, the only one talking in the room. Something about her caused an ice cold prickling at the base of his spine, the woman was dangerous despite her young countenance. Obviously she'd be the one providing information for the course, sadly his brain couldn't make sense of the words his ears were hearing.

By the time he'd finally shaken off the lingering sluggishness of his nap the woman had already fallen silent. Based on her attitude, she wasn't taking any question either. But the room came to life again as his fellow students clustered into groups and one was noticeably smaller than the rest. Bingo, the thought had no sooner crossed his mind than Julius left his perch and prowled towards the trio. His tattooed visage kept most students at bay and inadvertently aided his passage- not that one can blame them with the near feral gaze in his eyes, eight horns on his brow and the general area around his eyes and nose covered in ink. The flame like spike of his dark hair only really enhanced the effect...not that he could help it.

He wasn't able to hear the girl who's hair was within a shade of his own speak so much as attempt to read lips...from the gist he did understand he wasn't happy. If anything her saving grace was asking for a better plan, that much he did hear.

"Of course I do, and it's less likely to get the lot of you killed," He made no effort to conceal his open examination of the trio: a quiet blonde with a master poker face, a caned swordsman and a dark haired book nerd of an Aria. This belief softened the frown on his face, he needed a book nerd.

"What I mean is demons are devious, even the dumbest of them has enough instinct to see through most plans. You'd also be better off learning what's at your disposal. Name's Julius King, I'm packing a Stallion and a Lion summon. If the other Tamer has something good for scouting things get much easier." His crimson eyes fell upon the blonde, instinct said a gaze like hers could only belong to another Tamer. His gaze shifted back to the other girl before he continued.

"I've heard some Aria can figure out their target off just knowing what the demon looks and acts like thus meaning we simply distract the thing and get it in range for your Verse, my Stallion can then keep you safe. Otherwise, either the swordsmen or my Lion will need to stall while you figure out what verse is needed. The of course comes protecting you for the verse, probably with a man down by that time. As for the swordsman..." Julius finally turned to the other male in the group.

"We need to know now, is the cane decorative or functional and whether you're more offensive or defensive in style. That way we Tamers can better coordinate our summons with you and compensate for any potential weaknesses. To be honest, I'd rather avoid using my lion and wish we a Dragoon."

Cerbin Hiberion

Cerbin walked the streets early in the morning until the dawn of day. He just Trusting Malice to stay in the shadows around the closer regions of the school he didn't think it would be the brightest idea for himself to hang around the place. Even though he was a "cram school" teacher, he still wasn't apart of the actual school. He didn't want to be part of a question and answer game with someone who worked there or dragged off to do some menial task by another. So this is how he planned to spend his days. Walking around the area far outside the school until it was a need for him to be there. When the time finally arrived he felt a little hesitation, maybe even what humans call nervousness at the thought of being so close to younger humans and even the one he had been watching over for so long. He sighed and put about two handfuls of candy into his mouth. What exactly would he do when he arrived. He could introduce himself yes, but other than that, what sort of conversation would he have to come up with around them. Maybe he could spend the whole day without saying a word. Yes, that would be best.

"If you do that, I think Inferno may freeze over." A calm voice said lazily inside his head.
"Oh. Brother how long have I've been talking?" The demon asked his brother who was currently in Inferno laying down around Satan's throne. Indigo, Cerbins older brother and second to be born out of the three of them had a special connection to Cerbins senses. The two could hear what the other heard when Cerbin created a link between them. This sometimes occurred accidentally if Cerbin was really focused on something.

"I don't know how long you've been talking to yourself pup, but you connected with me hours ago. I thought you were going to say something important but you're just talking about nonsense. Pay more attention. I don't care if you talk to yourself, but don't wake me up with talk of humans and speaking to them. Honestly, I think you're better off slowly devouring those brats."
"Human children aren't things that should be eaten. They are all different just like us."
"They are weak. Weak and squishy. I wonder how they taste. Hehehe."
"I'm going to cut the link now. I don't need to talk to you now."

Even after cutting the link Cerbin still thought he heard curses coming from his brother. The two got along but didn't seem to enjoy speaking to each other, especially if they didn't have to. Though this time some good came out of it. It reminded Cerbin not to say everything on his mind and go into a monologue about the things around him while around the students and other teachers. A bad habit he picked up over the years, if he concentrates too hard on something, he'll usually start speak thinking instead of keeping everything in his head.

Arriving at True Cross, he went to a nearby stairwell that seemed shadowed from the sun and glanced around making sure no one was in sight. "Malice." He called. "Come back now."
From the darkness of the steps, a black wolf moved slowly to Cerbin calmly showing his fangs to him before walking behind him and slowly sinking into his shadow.
"Good work my brother."

Malice was the oldest of all three brothers and was able to go into shows and shared the sense of smell with Cerbin. He was usually left at the school to smell around for demons while Cerbin traveled elsewhere.

After a few minutes of walking Cerbin finally made it to the "cram school" building. He made his way inside and found himself walking around the halls, examining the scratches on the walls in some locations. By the time he made his way to the classroom door, a red haired woman walked out and started going about er business. He made sure not to get in her way or draw any attention to himself. He didn't want to have a needless conversation. Going inside the classroom he tried to act like a normal instructor who was just walking in. He glanced around the room a little and saw some of the "new recruits"( a label he heard someone give them) and went to the desk to grab a book out of it. After doing that he read the plans for the day out of the book. Today was like an entrance exam. He wasn't sure what that meant but decided not to ask about, figuring he'd soon find out. While reading the book he made his way for the exit and walked outside to wait for the bus to come pick everyone up. It would be his first time inside a man made vehicle and he wondered for years what it felt like to step inside one. To say the least, he was eager to depart.

The ride was a little exciting. He spent most of the time looking outside the window and gazing at the passing streets and trees. It felt somewhat comfortable to travel this way. Exiting the vehicle, once they arrived at their destination he was given his group of people and his orders as an instructor. They were fairly easy. All he had to do was make sure they were still alive by the end of the day, but he couldn't interfere with their mission unless there was no chance of completion without his intervention. He wasn't sure the limits of humans or how much they could endure before they died, but he was pretty sure that they would scream for help if needed. Turning to his group he gave a short speech to them before he would have to leave them. "As you know there is a demon here that you have to track down and handle. I advise you to treat this as a life and death mission and to remember that no matter matter the size or the shape, a demon is still a demon and should be approached with caution. Good luck."
As he turned to leave one of the students stopped him. "Um... I have a question."
Cerbin felt a knot form in his chest. He didn't know what else he needed to say. "Yes?" He responded slowly.
"Is there something wrong with your eye?" The student said with a genuinely worried expression. To Cerbins relief, it wasn't a hard question to get by. He smiled slightly at the boy. "It's nothing for you to worry about. Go on now. Do what you came here to do." Reaching his hand out, he pet the kid on his head and walked away. It wasn't something he was use to doing but he saw adults pat their children before leaving them to go to school. He heard the excitement in the kids voices from afar as they walked in the separate direction to go find their target. Looking around he saw allot of things he wasn't used to seeing. He'd never been to an amusement park before but it kind of reminded him of a children's playground. A really oversize one.

He silently followed his group going off of the sounds of their feet. It seemed like he was walking in a diagonal back and forth from them, but he was just making sure they didn't see him.

"Oh. I think we found it. Yeah there it is." He heard one of the boys say. "What do we do now?"
"I don't know."
Another boy said, "Maybe we should attack it."
"Wait."
The only female of the group called. "We should see what it does first."

Giving a sigh, Cerbin crouched down. "This is going to take into the midnight if they don't think of something."

Seated on the hand embroidered cushion that adds comfort and to the golden throne of Aurae, Seraphim Ammiel gazed upon the empty room with unease. Sixteen days since the scandal was born, since the erring Seraphim vanished, and since she had taken up the role of Seraphim. The golden threaded flowers of the cushion still held an imprint not her own. She was still in awe of the faint light from the hazy white sky that glowed colourfully on the ground before stained glass windows; still surprised when people bowed their head or saluted in reverent greeting. It would be many Aurae days, countless years in distant worlds, before she would feel truly at home in this grand throne room.

Caressing the silk of her long dress to convince it to drape smoothly over her knees, she reconciled these thoughts of unfamiliarity with the strength of her beliefs. Even if the goddess had long since broken herself to save the balance of all things, her will still lived on to care for her creations. Ammiel would not know the feel of the golden cushion and the weight of countless angel’s well-being on her shoulders unless she were meant to. The goddess wished her to be here, and she would not let the goddess down as her predecessor had. Leaving the throne, Ammiel crossed to one of the windows overseeing the entrance to the high temple. Tinted in different shades as she moved past the vibrant glass image of the goddess overseeing Aurae, she watched some of her people gathered below. In different faces she saw anger, confusion, and fear, and she felt the pain of each and every one. Delicate fingers caress the glass where their figures aligned as though she could soothe them with this distant act. There were those who were not pleased with her becoming the Seraphim, but she did not blame them. Who could be comfortable with anyone after the betrayal had occurred?

The Seraphim of the not too distant past had cut wounds that threatened to tear apart the purity and order of Aurae, destroying everything that great angels like Felspar Tera’le and Salem Aritos had worked years to put in place after the great war. Ammiel would not understand what her predecessor had done, and she would strive for certainty that nothing like it would ever happen again. Those great angels were still here, as loyal and admirable as ever, and with them she would restore and preserve the balance once more. For her people, for Aurae, and for the will of the goddess.

Folding her hands before her chest and breathing deeply, she uttered a quiet prayer for all those things. Only a moment of such serenity was allowed before shattering glass interrupted her. Starting and stepping back, her eyes fell on the shattered rainbow evidence of what had happened. An old white fragment of brick had entered the room through the symmetrical twin of the window she stood at. Lifting her skirt to avoid catching any glass, she approached the broken window and craned her neck to see the ground below. Dusty pink eyes were lit with concern as she searched for signs that glass had fallen below.

Doors opened and hurried footsteps echoed through the room announcing the entrance of two people, one of which spoke, “Seraphim, are you injured?”

Turning to face the two whom had been posted at the door for her safety in these turbulent times she said, “Did any glass fall outwards? Was anyone below harmed?”

One guard stepped forward to offer her a hand out of the glass mess, which she thanked him for, but did not take his hand, instead exiting the same path she had entered with her own effort. The other guard attempted to answer her. “I’d have to go ask, but it looks to me like all the glass in here.”

Ammiel sighed lightly and tentatively spoke, “I suppose so…” though she was still a bit concerned. Her brows drew together in sorrow as she wondered what had so upset someone that they would be driven to do such a thing. She hoped that in some way this had eased their unhappiness. Looking to the glass, her displeasure was also extended to the one who had slaved over hot glass to form such a beautiful creation in the first place. Realizing that her guards were waiting while she was busy with her worrying, she shifted her attention onto them. “If anyone was hurt, please extend my apologies to them and get them taken care of. I was standing at the other window, and am unharmed, there is no need for you to wait on me.”

The guards accepted her request, and took their leave after informing her of the search for the culprit and suggesting she stay away from windows for the time being. She had agreed to that simple wish and returned to stand on the golden carpet running through the center of the room from the doorway to the throne. Eyeing the throne she found that she did not feel comfortable going back to useless sitting while tense confusion wracked her beloved people and the future of Aurae was still uncertain. She felt the need to do something, anything that could help, and the first place she would always venture when wondering what to do was to her brother. Felspar Tera’le, half-brother, had always relieved her stresses and put her at ease, and now that he was her top advisor, meeting with him was that much more necessary.

Though she assured them of her firm belief that none of her people would truly harm her and offered that her familiars could look out for her, her guards refused to let her leave the high temple without them. She relented and allowed them to walk at her side, but she was very firm in setting that they would not follow her in to see Felspar. Most of the people she passed as they exited to the city streets offered respect and kindness, but some eyes spoke volumes of what they truly thought of her. A soft smile and a gentle wave were offered to all she passed, and many different reactions she witnessed strengthened her concern for the conflicted minds of her people as much as they relieved her, and seeing some children reminded of the importance of a balanced future. By the time she reached the main library, her brother’s domain, she was eager to hear an update on the numerous matters he was juggling.

Leaving her guards with a firm stare to keep them at bay, she wandered into the land of books and reading. The atmosphere here was a comfort to her. The shelves of books, the scent of them, the tranquility – everything about it was her brother’s, and that was enough to return a smile to her face. Making her way slowly to Felspar’s domain, she eventually came to the door of his office. She knocked on the door and announced, “It is me,” believing he could recognize her voice. Taking the liberty to enter, she approached his desk, eyeing the scattering of work that troubled him. With eyebrows drawn in sympathetic concern, she said, “Hello brother. How is your work treating you? I hope you are not working all too hard,” But he did look like he was working too hard. She frowned disapprovingly, but she relied entirely on his work and thoughts in this matter and could hardly scold him for working on it. “Have your thoughts found us proper actions to take?”

Nathaniel Kale Jenova

With each step I take, a ripple tears inbetween worlds mortals should never see. With each step I take a long lost path, dusty and old is renewed. With each step I take, the more I know.

Nathaniel was sat on the roof of the Cram School or rather the True Cross Academy he watched as each teacher and student went through the doors before finally jumping from the roof, only a small tremble happened with the cracking of stone under his feet as he fell from a high place only to land with elegant effortlessness. As he just walked off to the buses and right at the back of one with folded arms, looking down, but if one were to look into his snake like eyes, he would look like he were in a dream world but of course, it was just one of those days for him... Everything was just confusing him today...

As students rushed in they sat down but most at the back of the bus seemed to just look at Nathaniel like a were a wondrous painting or a rare sight. The bus travel was as always, loud with laughter and chattering that came to a stop as they all met their destination which in the night was eerie. He instantly felt the presence of another, weaker but that was only know for him and by the valuation of his own skills, not the students.

Nathaniel stayed at the bus for a time watching the students from afar, the only thing in the darkness that gave him away from within the darkness of the surroundings was his eyes, green blue snake like eyes that naturally glowed in the dark. His ears listened to them while his eyes looked directly at the entity as it seemingly taunted the group with feeble attempts of close missed shots of dark magicks. As he here the name Dragoon it made his ears perk up a bit but his unreadable face didn't show the interest his ears did that were covered with his long silver locks. That was when he decided to stand straight from leaning on the bus and he slowly walked up to the group, his black leather trench coat and armour was foreign to all but him. He stood to the side of them for a moment, contemplating what he should say, his eyes still looking over to the side and not that the students as he watched the demon they most likely couldn't see apart from the Aria that was Evangaline Decarprio but even then she would need to force much more to see the demon as clearly as Nathaniel did. He only continued to look on, yet for a moment put hi hand up and waved to Evangaline Decarprio for a moment before finally looking to the group. ''Onward then.''

Aura Thorne

It was the White Rabbit, trotting slowly back again, and looking anxiously about as it went, as if it had lost something; and she heard it muttering to itself `The Duchess! The Duchess! Oh my dear paws! Oh my fur and whiskers! She' ll get me executed, as sure as ferrets are ferrets! Where CAN I have dropped them, I wonder?' Alice guessed in a moment that it was looking for the fan and the pair of white kid gloves, and she very good-naturedly began hunting about for them, but they were nowhere to be seen--everything seemed to have changed since her swim in the pool, and the great hall, with the glass table and the little door, had vanished completely.

Very soon the Rabbit noticed Alice, as she went hunting about, and called out to her in an angry tone, `Why, Mary Ann, what ARE you doing out here? Run home this moment, and fetch me a pair of gloves and a fan! Quick, now!' And Alice was so much frightened that she ran off at once in the direction it pointed to, without trying to explain the mistake it had made.

`He took me for his housemaid,' she said to herself as she ran. `How surprised he'll be when he finds out who I am! But I'd better take him his fan and gloves--that is, if I can find them.' As she said this, she came upon a neat little house, on the door of which was a bright brass plate with the name `W. RABBIT' engraved upon it. She went in without knocking, and hurried upstairs, in great fear lest she should meet the real Mary Ann, and be turned out of the house before she had found the fan and gloves.

`How queer it seems,' Alice said to herself, `to be going messages for a rabbit! I suppose Dinah'll be sending me on messages next!' And she began fancying the sort of thing that would happen: `"Miss Alice! Come here directly, and get ready for your walk!" "Coming in a minute, nurse! But I've got to see that the mouse doesn't get out." Only I don't think,' Alice went on, `that they' d let Dinah stop in the house if it began ordering people about like-

Abruptly, the scene was shattered, the imagination required for such viewing rapidly now fleeing from Aura’s attention and that precious moment now resting as a mere memory of the past. And what exactly caused this soon-to-be Tamer’s sudden distraction from this fictitious pleasure? What had caused those wandering crimson orbs to drift from the dog-eared, yellow-stained pages of her favourite novel to latch onto the podium positioned at the very front of the classroom? It was all result of the captivating spell the Dragon Exorcist casted, the authority and command her very being sapped from the other occupants, the minute those worn oaken doors swung shut with gentle ease. Instinctively, a feeling of detached adoration swept through Aura as Ms. Shosuke’s own gaze flitted past each student with unwavering determination, the slightest cough accompanying the gesture. “Alright ladies and gentlemen, listen up today will be the first time you will be working on your own in small groups. Now hurry along now, get into groups and we’ll take a bus ride to the park” rang out the clipped tone, no sense of lingering nor familiarity present within the tone. Within a matter of a few seconds, the Upper Class Exorcist doled out orders and vanished in a similar manner of which she originally appeared. Oh my…we are going out in the field today…? And.. I have to work with others? mused the Tamer’s inner voice, the slightest twinge of concern and inquisitivity colouring the otherwise stoic tone. Exhaling a sigh at the tiring task paved before her, Aura merely flickered her attention to rest at the page number before, with as much gentle caution as she could muster, closing the worn book. Setting aside a brief moment for herself, gaze holding an emotion akin to pining, the girl sat in a metacognitive state, mind wandering with varying outcomes for today’s events. However, that state was abruptly shattered as the abrasive sound of chairs scraping against floorboards reached her foreword conscious. Oh...looks like we are leaving already.. assessed that inner voice once more, the concern now evaporated. Following in the stead of those whom she called ‘peers’, Aura fluidly raised her stature out of the weathered chair before filing out of the friendly space and onto the bus, into the world unknown.

As usual, the ride was obnoxiously loud and boisterous as others chattered and chided another, each one holding a sense of quivering excitement that could only result in a throbbing headache. Suppressing a yawn, the response opposite of her peers, the Tamer began to retire her focus from the mass and to the blurred scenes passing her view. I hope this won’t take too long… I was finally approaching my favourite section of the story..

The moment the vehicle came to a still was the moment the Tamer escaped it’s stuffy confines.. after all, she was never one for large crowds in small spaces. Inhaling shallow breaths of the crisp, morning air, this particular girl found her mind beginning to slowly unfurl. With a clear head once more, Ms. Thorne went about her usual routine when it came to group activities; separating her person from the others. Truly, it was a horrible habit, signaling herself as a lone player.. but.. well, old habits, indeed, die hard. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on your stance, an ebony-haired woman floated over to their group, attire and posture screaming elegance and refinement. "I'm Evangline but call me Eve, and I hate to do this to all of you but I think we need to go against our training for this. Unless any of you have ideas you'd like to bring forth that is." rang out her input, a sheepish smile pursuing the offered plan. The only reaction Aura could managed to muster was one of shock, two quick blinks indicating her feelings. She spoke….so fast...and just approached like it was no big deal.. mused that inner voice once again, it’s confusing twinge of envy palpable. With a quick shake of her head, the snow-gold curtain briefly catching air, the Tamer attempted to vainly brush away such negative emotions and focus on the topic at hand; what they were to do.

Aura’s lips parted in the slightest, almost as if she was about to dare voice her opinions, when a masculine tone cut the bravery to it’s knees. "Of course I do, and it's less likely to get the lot of you killed What I mean is demons are devious, even the dumbest of them has enough instinct to see through most plans. You'd also be better off learning what's at your disposal. Name's Julius King, I'm packing a Stallion and a Lion summon. If the other Tamer has something good for scouting things get much easier." following his casual input, the newcomer wasted little time in eyeing each of the small huddle’s members before resting his crimson pair on Aura. It took a second for it to fully process that this ‘Julius’ was referring to her person, mind racing to focus on what he just said. Scouting…? Hm……maybe..Kota? Sending the other Tamer a small nod, indicating that she was in possession of such a summon, the doll-esque girl took this chance to glance over the other groups. They all look..strong..

As for the swordsman.. We need to know now, is the cane decorative or functional and whether you're more offensive or defensive in style. That way we Tamers can better coordinate our summons with you and compensate for any potential weaknesses. To be honest, I'd rather avoid using my lion and wish we a Dragoon." ..He talks alot..

A moment of pause stretched on within the group, each member, evidently, debating what to do and how to do it. However, that quiet was soon shattered by an intruder with an eerily soft tone. ''Onward then.''. Trying to ignore the frown crossing her features, instinct already knowing who this particular voice belonged to, the female Tamer waited patiently for the team to make a collective step forward.

Yeuri

Yeu sat rather patiently beside his master, really not paying any attention to those around him. He sat with one leg rested on the platform right below him, the other allowed to bend and settle fully on the ground. He was more focused on cleaning the small blade he always kept on him. It was a pleasant nuisance, really, the way it seemed to dull because of the amounts of dried blood sticking to the edge. A wicked smirk played along his lips as he ran his thumbnail along the crusted material, breaking it up and allowing little flecks of blood to drift down to the ground.

How many had it been the previous day with just this small weapon? Usually it was his faithful Twins that took the position of corrector, and yet he had still found time enough to use the smaller one as well. Some work just couldn’t be done by large means, especially if that work was meticulous and detailed. A wicked gleam sparked in his eyes as he reminisced of those who produced the corrupt substance that dulled his weapon.

However, quite often would Yeuri shift his attention first to Bavol, to ensure her comfort, and then to the two princes who bickered with one another. Their hatred towards one another was probably one of the most entertaining things to be experienced, ranked up in his list of enjoyment beside death and mischief. It was truly amazing the things they found to snarl and snap at each other over, and Yukon had to admit, he found a twisted pleasure in observing it. But that was only to be expected, what with the destructive seed that flourished within him.

Yukon, having thus since cleaned his blade during his observations, brought his thumb to his lips and ran his tongue along the nail to dispose of the dried blood flecked there. The familiar metallic taste met his senses, and he smirked with satisfaction, soon pocketing the blade and leaning back on his hands to observe the Ruler of Inferno with lazy, uncaring eyes.

The man truly was a piece of work- his attitude, his attire, his body language. Had he not called them here to discuss matters? Yet, he merely sat upon his throne and occasionally glanced at them, as if they actually had the time to waste on him.

’I could be pinning the writhing bodies of the disobedient underneath the heel of my boot, ready to part flesh with the cold sting of metal and watch their life’s liquid pool because of my hand, watch it drip and stain their skin, see it roll desperately to please me, and all the while they whimper and beg for their sorry hides. Beg for mercy which I will never give them.... But instead I’m stuck here at the beck and call of our Satan, probably whining about something or other and blaming Bavol for that which she had no part of.’

At his thought's mention of Bavol, his gaze once more shifted to her form. She seemed bored, much like he was at the moment, and he so wished to dispel such an annoying plague from both of their minds. If Satan didn’t speak up soon, Yeuri might actually risk his own life to get this show on the road.

However, he did not need to, as soon Azrael snapped at both Princes, causing them both to cease in their verbal abuses. He must have gotten tired of them. ’Pity, I don’t understand how one could tire of such assault.’ A subtle frown almost made its way to his features as he thought on the complication, but as always, he kept up that lazy smirk of his, though his eyes were sharp and keen.

Finally getting to the point, Satan began to inform them of just why they were here. ”The rifts have opened after nearly five-hundred years of them being sealed," Yeu merely snorted derogatively, ’Bound to happen sometime.’

”It seems the lesser demons are being summoned once more by the humans, and they are getting caught up in their wars,” Yeu’s attention shifted up a notch at the mention of the lesser demons causing havoc, and he sat up from his previously reclined position. He tapped his fingers against his knee, waiting eagerly for the point to come across.

”Not that it matters much, seeing as they are merely lesser demons, but a few have gotten loose from their tamers…” ’Big shock there.’

”…And before they make things worse between us I would think one of you three would have sent someone to catch them and bring them back. But I guess I have to do everything on my own.”

Yeuri found the update rather lacking, ending with Satan’s derogative tone towards the three pillars. Irritation flared internally within Yukon, he didn’t think it proper to blame any of the three, especially Bavol, when it was the man’s own fault that things were so bad between the worlds. As to his comment about getting things done himself and thus insinuating he go to Earth, Yeu couldn’t help a cruel grin from appearing upon his lips. ’Well, that seems right up your alley, what with all the mischief you’ve stirred up already.’

Despite Yeu’s somewhat harsh observations of the man, in all honesty, he didn’t mind the current Satan, as it meant his life remained unchanged. The only thing that caused him to follow this mindset was when it did interrupt his daily routine, and especially if Bavol was concerned.

”I‘m sorry Satan.” At the soft voice of his master, Yeu’s attention immediately snapped towards her. However, after processing her words, a soft ‘tch’ parted his lips. It was like Bavol to do that, but she shouldn’t have even bothered. By saying that, it was like she was admitting she had done wrong and deserved the wrath and down-talk from Azrael, when it was more than clear that was not the case.

She went quiet, and Yeu tilted his head to glance over the two princes, expecting them to say something as well. However, when that did not happen immediately, Bavol spoke up once more, ”Well I can safely assure that nothing new has arisen within my circles. Everything is ship-shape, as they say. I put it all down to my faithful subordinate Yeu, he does his job ever so well~” Despite the obvious praise and pleasure within his master’s voice, Yukon’s face did not change into that of a grin to display his reaction towards such words, nor did he shift his posture. However, as attention was bound to be drawn to him, his lips pressed into a dark, challenging smirk, and his eyes narrowed harshly at those who glanced at him, daring them to question the truth of her words.

As always Chikyu did his best to ignore the demon across from him, of course being one of little patience, at least towards him anyways, Chikyu had trouble focusing on his mentor. The great Satan of Inferno, it was only because of Azrael that he had yet to kill the Prince of Fire. However his patience soon ran out and he snapped at the other Prince after a while the two had gotten into a heated debate trying to belittle the other to the point Chikyu had forgotten what it was he had snapped at him for.

Not that it mattered really, soon enough he felt the atmosphere in the room change but took little notice of it. That is until Satan yelled at them to quiet down which was accompanied by a glare. Chikyu flinched in way that it was almost unnoticeable if you weren’t paying close attention to him. Glancing down, the Prince of Earth sat back in his seat and looked back up just in time to see the cruel smile on Satan’s lips. A smile pinched the corners of his lips at the sight, to think he’d find it amusing to see us stop in fear after bickering. Shaking his head, Chikyu leaned forwards to make it seem more like he was listening.

Listening to his short speech, Chikyu couldn’t help but let his mind wonder a bit about what the human world was like. Never having gone himself, seeing as all the rifts had been closed for the majority of his life, he had been too young when they were open. Not that he really cared for visiting such a place. Bringing his attention back to the matter at hand he thought back on what had happened the past while since his last report to Satan concerning his Circles. Nothing eventful happened since then but the news on lesser demons running rampant wasn’t anything new and he unlike his mentor, Chikyu didn’t really care much for the human world but he respected his mentor’s ideals.

Releasing a sigh, Chikyu turned his attention to the youngest of the Three Pillars who spoke up with an apology. Raising his brow he never expected her to say such a thing as it wasn’t really something a Prince or a Princess did when around Satan. Then again who was he to say, he had very little interaction with the girl demon and considering the Sins she represented he didn’t really feel like getting to know her. This was further proved by the fact that, from she herself just said, she lets her subordinate do all the work.

Pfft what a lazy woman, I hardly ever leave Astaroth to deal with things, knowing him, he’ll probably take things to the extreme more so than I would. And while on the topic of subordinates, Chikyu looked over at the Princess of Air’s right hand man, or demon really, I believe it started with a Y, something complicated maybe. The demon held a challenging smirk on his lips, something that irked Chikyu to a degree. So in return he sent a cold glare at the younger demon before returning his gaze to rest upon his leader.

“Mm that’s good to hear Princess, that you leave important matters to your subordinate. Anyhow very little has happened within my Circles and when something did occur I took dealt with it personally.” After saying this he glanced over at the Princess of Air before continuing. “I’ll make sure to send someone to round up those ugly little bastards so no need to take it upon yourself to deal with it. That’s what we’re here for correct?” The question was one that needn’t be answered and Satan knew this so he merely sent a nod of acknowledgement towards him.

Akio Yamada

Soon after Akio made his way off the bus, he was surrounded by people he didn't be around if he had a choice in the matter. "I'm Evangline but call me Eve, and I hate to do this to all of you but I think we need to go against our training for this. We're one of the smaller groups and we can't spare a single person. I need to analyze the demon first so let it do what it does for a few moments then we all coordinate an attack on it. Meaning I say my verse our tamer summons and Mr. Knight acts knightly, that way it won't know who to go for. If it does pick me because I'm the weak link... well my legs and such aren't attached to my mouth." Akio knew who that voice belongs to it was the girl who always hangs around Jenova, if he recalls.

It took her 5 second for call her self "the weak link" on the team, Akio tried to over look this hoping it was fines as long as no one crushes the little confidence she had in herself. Soon Akio heard a second voice "Of course I do, and it's less likely to get the lot of you killed....." Akio was sure that Evangline felt useless now if she already didn't . Akio wanted to make a joke to lighten the mood, but the unknown guy started to speak again. Akio didn't pay much attention to anything he said until he got to his name.

"Name's Julius King, I'm packing a Stallion and a Lion summon. If the other Tamer has something good for scouting things get much easier." Akio stopped listening after that, Akio did noticed that every others teams had started looking for a spiritual creature. Meanwhile his team thought going over strategy was more important, they should be doing what they were sent here to do. Planing and strategy was a foreign to him, he was always taught that the if your stronger than your opponent you win. Not to mention being blind didn't help with planing out of combat anyways.

Akio let the others talk, he had anxiety sitting around doing nothing wasn't his style. In the meantime Akio just wanted them to hurry, he didn't want be here all day sitting around doing nothing. Just when Akio couldn't bear it any longer someone said, "Onward then.'', it seems that at least one other member of the team had enough of this. "ITS ABOUT TIME!". Akio starts to walk forward, as if he was motioning to the others it was time to go. "You guys can figure out what plan you're going to abandon once the fighting starts, much later.". Akio took a few more steps, before he realized that never told the others his name. "Oh ya, im Akio.". he would use his thumb to point to himself "And as long as I'm alive, not even Satan will lay a finger on your guys.". Suddenly Akio turned back to the other, and point the handle of his cane at them "NOW! Who's going to lead me around, because I have no idea where I are going.". Akio began to laugh at this half-joking, and half serious statement.

Eve looked at their newest addition to the team, Julius. Tugging on her ivory gloves she muttered to herself "My plan wasn't that bad... it was tailored for a small team." Once she was done fidgeting with gloves she looked back up just to see Julius judging her appearance. Straightening her shoulders she was about to give him a look meant to say "who are you to judge" when something in his features softened. Seeing as how it seemed that she wasn't viewed negativity she decided against giving that look and settled for a "finished yet?" look. When he then spoke indirectly to the team and outlined his plan, something about the notion that he would be protecting her struck a cord. She truly was defenseless, and really if any of the others decided to attempt to memorize religious passages she wouldn't be needed. A moment of self loathing hit her for being useless but she brushed it under the rug, right now she had a job to do. So going to his rhetorical idiotic statement about only some aria's being able to tell a verses based off of how it acts was absurd. How else was she supposed to figure it out, asking the damn thing? Really she had some general theories about the verse based off it's freaking location, after all amusement parks are meant for children. Only instead of saying any of what she had on her mind she simply settled for "Just leave me a short observation window and I'm set captain." Grinning a little she thought the nickname suited him. After all he just came in here and started giving orders like a captain would to his team.

Then taking a moment to observe the others Eve noticed Mr. Jenova giving her a quick wave. As a result her eyes light up when she saw her favorite teacher and she gave a brilliant smile in return. Now she had to blow this thing out of the water after all it would look bad on Mr. Jenova if she didn't. Looking at the other teams she noticed that they were already scouting. Looking to Miss Mute (aka Aura... until a better nickname showed up), Captain, and Akio Eve gave a somewhat encouraging smile as she was about to say something along the lines of "shall we get going?" When Akio just kinda blew up shouting about things. Once he was done Eve couldn't help but laugh at his antics. Holding her gloved hand to her mouth she fought valiantly against the laughter threatening to spill over but allais she couldn't help it and gave into her giggles. Feeling absolutely terrible about laughing at his outburst when Mr. Jenova, who wasn't apart of the team, accidently caused it just wasn't right. Only to be fair she more less ended up laughing at his ending, after all he gave this self assured speal just to end it with asking for help. The fact alone that he didn't mind asking for help won him brownie points points with Eve.

So gently she seized his free hand and said "Alright then Sparky, lets get going." tugging him toward where her gut said there was some sort of evil energy. Training with Mr. Jenova did tend to come in handy in regards to honing her instincts and capabilities in general. As she was leading sparky Eve twist her torso so she could face the others and had a bit of an internal argument on what to call Aura as she didn't want to call her Miss. Mute incase it hurt her feeling, but she didn't want to exclude her by not giving her nickname. So quickly she thought of something else and went with something based off apparence. Looking at the two again she gave a grin accompanied with her saying "Well then Captain, Ms. Fay, are you coming or staying?"

Judging by the casual air hanging over this meeting, seats set before the throne while the one on it allowed himself to be lost in thought, Astaroth doubted anything of interest was going to be coming to light this day. As it was safe enough to say that he would not be addressed directly, and the idea of cramming into a seat next to everyone else was particularly unpleasant, Astaroth stayed standing a few paces behind the seating arrangement. Hanging from his neck, a living scarf of black and white, his python-like familiar Iaculus provided him vague entertainment in the irritating wait for Azrael to speak. He was counting the passing time based on the number of times that the snakes black tongue flicked out of its mouth, 172…173…, when finally the man spilled his words.

Mention of the rifts piqued his attention, and for a time he actually bothered resting his muddy eyes on Azrael, but as the true reason for this meeting was revealed, Astaroth let his eyes wander once more to find something of greater interest. The frustration he felt was expressed in a breath louder than his normal, but nothing loud enough to draw attention from anyone but his snake companion. The strongest demons of Inferno have been summoned for pest control… Astaroth had no understanding of why it even mattered if a few petty demons were to trouble the humans. If they summoned them and could not control them, then they deserved whatever they got.

Paying the slightest bit of attention, in case things took a turn for the significant, Astaroth observed the Princess Bavol spilling words both humble and happy. She was odd, though nothing too irritating. Although it seemed that her treatment of her subordinate had fed pride into his mind – or so Astaroth thought from the man’s expressions and his earlier brandishing of a bloody weapon. Astaroth wondered if such treatment over enough time would end up inflating the man’s head to a point that he believed himself great and destroyed the one he served. Now that would be interesting.

Pacing slightly closer to where Chikyu sat, Astaroth cast aside thoughts of those who were of little consequence to him. The rulers could do as they wished, all that really held significance for him was the rifts. For sixteen years they had been spreading, since that child was born, and Astaroth was growing impatient of all this sitting around. He had expected the Satan to seize opportunities early and move to action, but of course he should not have expected so much. If things did not start to move soon, he would have to break ties and go on his own earlier than he had hoped. After all, the prophecy called and his brother was out there somewhere, waiting.

Running fingers over Iaculus’s smooth scales, Astaroth decided to have a bit more patience. It would be a nuisance to draw attention to himself too quickly. Now that he had considered it a bit more, he decided that this issue with lesser demons may not be a complete waste. At least they were considering in some degree dealing with Earth, and that was a start. Hopefully from there would come plans of more excursions into the neighbouring realm – maybe Azrael would even plan a battle strategy. A noise of mocking amusement was sounded aloud at the impossible thought.

Catching the tail end of Chikyu’s words to the Princess and seeing the Satan approve, Astaroth was relieved by the hope that this dull meeting would hopefully be over soon.

Salem Aritos

Salem was not having a good day, but compared to the days of old it was a far cry from a bad one. He'd had to deal with normal petitions and complaints, such tasks were easy. But the more worrying matters involved having to go out in the streets to address complaints of the less formal sort. Within his own district, the young and angry had caused five incidents which had been quickly contained without any real damage. Twice he'd had to go out and address some of the disgruntled members of the mature populace in regards of the past two weeks or so. He'd even had to help a nearby district, not due to a lack of manpower but because he suspected the trouble initiated within his own. The rest of his aid beyond the initial onset was his way of further apologizing for the trouble.

In truth, that mess was still within expectation due to his rather vocal outburst against the current Seraphim. Part of him even felt that his behavior had threatened to undo the years of work it took to allow this level of peace to even exist. It was that moment of conscience that resulted in his submission. He relented his opposition, thus ending the debate of Felspar or Ammiel and even halted the bid for the throne being performed on his behalf. A smile filled with self-derision formed on his face with how blatantly he'd let Aurae and his supporters in particular down. Ultimately, he'd let his best friend down since Felspar trusted his sister implicitly. Salem on the other hand saw sibling favoritism, the girl was too young and reminded him so much of himself in his younger days. Her piety was admirable, the same could be said by her ability to garner such support but like his younger self she was too duty bound. Justice and duty dominated her thoughts, and much like his younger self there seemed a sever deficiency in mercy where her actions were concerned. This struck cord or rather the fear for its potential lead to his dissent and a rather disgraceful departure from his dear partner...he still wasn't ready to see the man yet.

The final straw, and thus the reason for the extended flight and the extensive time for his musing had occurred with his own brothers. The two never visited one another, in fact they frequently attempted murdering each other due to grudges of long ages past. He'd sought to rebuild the ties of his blood family but the arrival to his home was met with drawn weapons. It took a sword into his fore arm and an arrow through his calf during the effort, but he'd managed to bind his brothers to maintain the peace. However, now Salem felt his age and was flying to Aurae, the Seraphim in particular to request a reprieve. The burden of order was getting heavy, and he found even his shoulders grew weary...and he could only grimace and the thought of Felspar's own burden.

As he neared the buildings near the high temple Salem began his descent, and spotted a child of no more than ten years. What caught his attention in regards to this child was his proximity to Salem's own destination. The distance was too great for significant action to take place, and thus he could only observe the youth pry a loose bit of brick from the ground before hurling it into one of the windows of the throne room. The child was smart enough to run from the scene instead of take flight but Salem cut off his otherwise guaranteed escape. A mere flick of the wrist sufficient to bind the boy in Salem's beloved chain.

"What now, are you going to turn me in traitor," the boy viciously snarled. Salem looked closer at the boy and the child was indeed angry, but there seemed to be something more. The child continued without relenting "you were a beacon of hope, a promise of something better than the last Seraphim, but instead you relented to her." That was when Salem caught the tone he was looking for, the underlying blandness of one reciting something they'd heard repeatedly. A sad smile grew on his face while he took a knee, putting him at eye leveling with the child.

" I take it your parents supported either my promotion or my vote for Felspar," the inquiry wasn't meant for specifics and a simple nod and surprised face was all the answer he needed. Salem chuckled and ruffled the boys hair, " You're a good kid, taking your parent's hurt to mind. But there's better methods than throwing stones, especially when this affair is my fault." At this point Salem doubted the boy would understand, however the lecture continued.

"Yes I asked my friend to take up the mantle of the Seraphim. I truly believe he's best for the job, and I truly failed as a friend to see his own burden before selfishly asking him to take up more. I even sought promotion to help, perhaps even hoping to bear the load myself. However, all my efforts went against the very thing I wanted from the start." At this the boys eyes held a spark of curiosity, but Salem silenced him before the boy could ask. "I wanted Aurae to be at peace, and we both see how well my actions turned out."As if the weight of it all finally caught up, Salem's age ended up showing on his face. A weary man carrying nearly a millennium of hard work and emotion, the lapse was only temporary and Salem quickly had his usual young appearance.

"So for peace, I will withhold my reservations of the young Seraphim. Help her when I can and I shall always be her harshest critic and see if she can grow into the office. As Felspar's sister I'm willing to trust she'd either succeed or step down properly." Sure enough the child's face was one of partial comprehension, nevertheless Salem believed the boy held some promise.

"But enough of this," Salem clasped the youth's shoulder while releasing the chain. "You've an apology to deliver and I've work to do...don't worry I've got your back,"the finishing comment was to keep his charge from being too nervous. The two returned to the building the boy had previously vandalized, stopping before the door guard.

"Salem Aritos and guest for the Seraphim, we'd like to request an audience." The message was plainly delivered to the guardsmen and one was sent into the structure. Salem instinctively wrapped a wing around the shaking body next to him, but he himself wasn't certain how to handle the situation either.

Patience.. Marius urged himself, sweeping his foot across the bleached stones of the courtyard to rest in front of him. For the past sixteen days all of Marius' free time was majorly occupied with distractions, Training to restrict his mind of any true time to its own thoughts. His stance was low, long and stable in the center of the courtyard, that if one followed one way, a doorway would lead to his favorite garden, the other to one of Aurae's many roads, but for now it played host to the slowly breathing figure of Marius. Carefully adjusting his hands from their well position guard he brought his back leg in, bending his knees before stepping through and back into the stance once again.

Wrong again.. he scolded himself, his body was too tense, his in step swift, the out step slow. His mind raced picking up upon all the mistakes his just made as he straightened up and walked to the edge of the courtyard. The events that transpired those days ago for Marius formed cracks of doubt in his mind, which at first were harmless, but now it had propagated, he was questioning himself more than he should.Without a doubt he could perform anything he once learned correctly if only he could clear that looming darkness from his mind.

But could any of Aurae shift the events that threatened to rip its foundations asunder?, their very own seraphim betraying them. Incorrect.. Mairus corrected himself, he could not say for certain yet if what she had done was betrayal. Though none of that mattered as of late, a new Seraphim was in power and it was time to see how she decides to clean up all this mess, How her advisers urged her, and even how simple angels like himself would be placed within the precarious house of cards that Aurae has become.

Running a hand through his hair, he allowed his gaze to float down towards the white stones of the courtyard. Discord was still rife through Aurae, many people bitter over the current choice of Seraphim. Politics was always an awful business, and when a quite outspoken group loses within it, it gets even worse. Those who had supported other choices of Seraphim were not keeping quiet about it, many protesting, few taking things to the extreme and yet Marius still managed to feel alone as he believed everyone wrong in their choice, part of him was giving the Previous Seraphim a chance, but the conscious and blind devotions to Aurae within him was trying to smooth over such cracks.

Taking his sword from the nearby weapon rack, he flicked the hair out of his eyes and stepped back into the center of the courtyard. He held no ill will for the current Seraphim, brave or foolish as she was for taking the mantle she had actually yet to do any harm, or commit much foul. It was Aurae that had the problem, and Marius a problem with Aurae. Though for now he was resigned to keeping quiet, swinging his sword methodically, using the years of training that had been given to him as guide , but swift to scold himself upon any mistakes made.

Vincent Price

In the war of words between politicians there was a tipping point where the conversation no longer became simple argument, but a heated debate, as if Inferno was not already hot enough, it seemed to increase in temperature as a not so quiet argument took place between rivals Chikyu and Vincent. This was a typical occurrence with every meeting that it would be seen as impolite to start trying to seriously maim one another. So both parties settled with trying to injure pride and cripple patience. A smirk lined Vincent's mouth as he hurled a particularly barbed insult at the supposedly unshakeable opponent. However, even the largest of rocks can cracked if hit precisely first, as Vincent observed with barely veiled amusement as Chikyu growled out an response of his own, followed by a triad of insults of his own. Presently, it seemed that Vincent absent-mindedness had come into play as the debate continued right in front of the demon who had called the meeting.

His eyes widened as an oppressive darkness curled around his throat in an invisible grip, silencing his voice as Azrael ordered for silence. His mouth immediately shut as he repressed a shutter as the man he called his lord formed a smile on his face. Sitting up on his own chair as his eyes blinked as his mind attempted to process the information given to it. It was alarming news to say the least, the rift reopening could be the least of Inferno's worries. It was even more concerning that lesser demons were able to free their leashes from the collars of the so-called Tamers. Adjusting his glasses as he heard himself be scolded like a destructive puppy who had chewed on its owners' prized shoes. Although, the most dog-like of the three Princes was Chikyu, so the analogy would fit him perfectly. Pushing aside the analogy, he mentally recollected any reports of lessor demons slipping from his sight.

Glancing towards his fellow Princes..well Princess as even the sloth-like girl stirred from her sleep to trill out a humble apology and reassure with sugary words that everything was perfect in her own Circles. Even throwing a word of praise toward, who was now seemed to now take it upon himself to glare daggers at anyone who dared challenge the word of his Mistress. As the piercing glare reached Vincent who merely rolled his eyes at the over-protective bodyguard. An audible sigh escaped Vincent as he listened to Chikyu promise to make sure that Satan would not even have to lift a finger in the recapturing of the lesser demons. Running a hand through his hair as he cleared his throat "That is all fine and dandy Chikyu, please do everyone proud and send some of your dogs after an unknown group of lesser demons to bring your eternally strong fists down upon..". His words dripped with sarcasm at the end before speaking once again "I propose a less-risky mode of recapture, we will each send scouts to collect data on said lesser demons and then formulate a plan to reduce the risk of severely injuring the escapees as well as our own men. Besides, it's not any fun punishing others if they are dead..".

Placing his fingers to his lips as a shrill whistle came through his fingers an excited yelp responded as a massive silver-coated Jackal sped around the corner of his Master's throne before planting himself before the chair, an almost statuesque creature were it not for the furious wagging of the creature's tail. Descending his own seat with impeccable elegance as Vincent fondly ran his fingers over the rings piercing the Jackal's large ears before bowing to Satan "I offer up Jackal as my contribution to this little search party. While I can assist in endeavor through my network of spies within my own Circles. Although I doubt it is lesser demons from my own Circle, a majority of those imbeciles would sell out one another to satisfy their lust for gold. Although I suppose Greed, is the least of our worries if we have men falling asleep on the job or ripping apart a suspect." His smirk returned as his words were clearly directed at the sleepy Princess and ill-tempered Prince. ~Pawns should have a will of their own..what does it matter if they to checkmate a knight~ Vincent thought as he rubbed a silver ring on his finger, awaiting Satan's final word on his plan.

Satan Azrael

He raised one brow at the Princess of Air’s apology, never in all his years has he ever heard a demon apologize. She is indeed one of a kind, that much I am sure of. The young demon’s behavior is quite odd really. And she suited her Sin’s quite nicely although so far he has only witnessed Sloth and he was curious as to what Envy was like. So she’s the type to leave it in the hands of her subordinates. I guess I won’t be able to rely on her in the late future.

He then turned his attention to said subordinate. The demon sent a challenging glare at those who sat in the room; Azrael dared him to send it his way, if he had a death wish that is. A smirk planted itself on his lips at how cocky Bavol’s subordinate was. It was Yeuri or something like that. Sitting up just a bit he decided to address the Princess’s words. “I see so you leave things to those around you to handle. I do hope this doesn’t become a problem later. And don’t think I didn’t notice your man, do make sure he is taught to know his place or I will” His words were cold and challenging yet they held a hint of tease in them.

Azrael was curious to what sort of reaction he would get from them, the both of them. It seemed Azrael wasn’t the only one to think a bit about the Princess’s words. Azrael tilted his head to the side slightly hearing his mentee’s words and couldn’t help but give him a silent bravado in his mind. His eye’s narrowed slightly at Chikyu’s question, seeing as it wasn’t really a question but more if a statement, Azrael sent a nod of acknowledgement his way.

His eye’s flickered towards Chikyu’s subordinate, Astaroth who made an odd sound. Sitting back, Azrael rested his cheek in his hand, looking down at the Three Pillars. A frown began to form on his lips once the Prince of Fire spoke his mind concerning what Chikyu had said. The demon’s idea was indeed better suited to the task at hand however he showed a bit too much concern for the lesser demons. “I care little for the lives of lesser demon’s Prince of Fire. They are nothing but animals only capable of destroying everything around them so there won’t be much point in trying to handle them carefully to avoid injuring them. They’re more likely to harm your men then you are to them.” He said with a matter of fact tone, his last few words were somewhat amusing. They showed a bit of his true character but he cared little for that.

The Prince of Fire brought his fingers to his lips and let out a shrill whistle. In response to his whistle came a yelp of excitement and within moments a hound came running to plant itself at his master’s side. The creature was quite the sight however the wagging of his tail did little to help his image. Azrael rested his eyes on the Prince of Fire as he rose from his seat to run his hands across his familiar’s body before bowing down to him. His offer was quite nice and he couldn’t help but smile as he knew what his last words meant. “So you’ll offer up your familiar then.” Turning his gaze to the others, “ “And what of you two, what will you do seeing as I approve of the Prince of Fire’s plan.”

Chikyu sent a glare Vincent’s way before looking back up at Satan. “That is a good question. Well I obviously can’t send my own Familiar as he is simply too large. Why don’t I send in one of my men? Astaroth, do you want to go? If not I wouldn’t mind going to check up on a few things.” He looked over at his subordinate then back over at Azrael. “That’s fine, I really don’t care which of you goes but you’ll be restricted in what it is you can and cannot do.” “I am aware of that but it really depends on my subordinates answer.”

Bavol

At first Bavol sat rather bored with her eyes trailing around the dull scenery surrounding the demons, her attention on the matter at hand rapidly escaping to say the least. However upon hearing a voice interrupting her thoughts the young female slowly averted her eyes over towards the direction of Chikyu, and his subordinate Detritus, who from what she acknowledged had said something concerning her.

“Mm that’s good to hear Princess, that you leave important matters to your subordinate. Anyhow very little has happened within my Circles and when something did occur I took dealt with it personally.” He said and offered a mere glance to the girl. Bavol couldn’t quite tell if it was his words or stare that made her feel a little uneasy at that moment. The demons words were mocking, direct and evidently offered with intentions of causing a reaction.

What’s his problem? Why does he belittle me so?

Turning away briefly and offering nothing but silence in return Bavol sat somewhat anxiously as she perched on the edge of her seat. She hadn’t imagined how mentally straining it was to have to sit in the presence of Satan as well as the other two Princes. Whilst away with her thoughts once more the female could just vaguely hear some of what the other Prince had said.

He said something along the lines of, “…Although I suppose Greed, is the least of our worries if we have men falling asleep on the job or ripping apart a suspect."

Bavol pouted and narrowed her eyes just a tad. She could tell what he had meant and so desired to teach the ill-natured Prince a lesson or two though right now was not ideal. Not yet. Doing so would require effort which was in short supply just now, fortunately.

I‘m beginning to see why those two argue as often as they do. They‘re just as bad as each other only now it seems even I am not spared from their wickedness. How rude. Clearly the era of gentlemen is long since passed away.

Her legs had only just began to sway to a whimsical rhythm before coming to a steady halt as Satan then chose to voice his thoughts once more also to the demons. Uneasily her eyes focused on the higher up demon curiously to hear what he had to say to the young Princess. No doubt it wouldn’t be anything too heartfelt. Oh the joys of being a young Princess…

“I see so you leave things to those around you to handle. I do hope this doesn’t become a problem later. And don’t think I didn’t notice your man, do make sure he is taught to know his place or I will.” The grand demon said.

“My subordinate is my business! If one more demon talks ill of either him or myself once more I will not be as easily forgiving as I have been.” She said and slowly glanced over towards the two Princes. She had in every sense taken quite enough down talks from the pair of them for one meeting, and her kind nature was dwindling gradually as all could visibly see. Although Bavol was not quite as brave to stare so strongly and directly at Satan. She was not a complete idiot after all.

Satan continued with, “And what of you two, what will you do seeing as I approve of the Prince of Fire’s plan.”

”Ha! Satan you have no idea what sits before you, and to prove it I offer myself and, if he wants, Yeu to participate in this little adventure party!” The young girl declared with bold, though surprising confidence. ”After all I am the youngest here and have the most to prove. Surely you could not deny a young girl that, Satan?”

There’s no way I could possibly send Chi and Kaz up there on their own. Their not strong enough to manage without me and I don’t really want to send them anyway… Besides who‘s to say the humans aren‘t better company to that which I find myself in now?

Bavol turned her attention over to Yeu at that moment. Out of everyone there he was truly the only one to see any good in the girl and treat her with some respect and dignity. Which was more than could be said for the rest of the demons.

”What do you think Yeu, think it's worth it? Are you up for a little adventure with me?” A crafty smirk found it’s way onto her lips as a sneaky twinkle lit up in her eyes. However Bavol would not act without the trusty guidance of Yeu. Maybe the girl did tend to rely on him a little too much but with that said she would hardly change her habits so easily.

Julius King

"Taking to the skies actually," Julius called out his response while slicing his right thumb open on a sharpened button for this task. He ran the thumb over the seal on his left hand to activate its summon. "Aja, I require your assistance." The summon was lazy at best but Aja was a very compliant familiar. The seal flashed with such intensity that Julius had to shut his eyes, at its conclusion he was seated upon the fiery horse in question. A dull ache began forming at the back of his skull, something he could easily ignore at this time.

"With any luck an aerial view will speed things up a bit... you fly'n or walk'n?" The last bit was intended for the female Tamer, and Julius mentally commanded Aja to kneel. His summon's size allowed him to disguise his own immobile state as courtesy. He turned to face the Aria to reaffirm his own intentions with her and the Knight, but a flicker caught his eye.

What was that...there's no way, the thought formed while the girl he failed to recognize as Aura also mounted Aja. It could have been just the wind moving rubbish, or a civilian...in his experience spirits and demons were far from subtle and stealthy. " Hold on," Julius advised his counterpart just before Aja rose to its feet.

" A bird's eye view might help us...either in terms of safety and hunting," He fixed his gaze towards the other pair. " Yell if you come across anything and we'll come down, otherwise I'm only descending if we spot anything from the sky. Either was as soon as things get hot I'm sending Aja to get you."

Those acted as his parting words before Aja took to the air with a lively trot. The beast wanted to take off at a gallop, but great effort and eye watering spike in pain prevented such an event. However Julius found himself unable from being able to clearly see...or properly play look out.

"Don't suppose you can see anything," the words were more joke than question but at this point the extra set of eyes were necessary.
