Johnny

"Yeah, Johnny knows his skin is falling off."

a character in “Era of the Creatures: The End of Humans”, as played by Deallo

Description

Image
The Name is: Johnny

My Age: 70 (Died at the age of 25 in 1970)

Gender: Male

Height: 6'1

I'm Affiliated With: Akashinu
My Rank is: Pawn
I'm a: Zombie
My Powers Include: Endurance - A zombie never tires and can take an ridiculous amount of damage.

No Pain, All Gain - There's something to be said for a being that can't feel pain. Johnny's attacks won't falter as easily if an opponent attacks.

Strong Grips - separated into sub-categories:

Strong Grab - One solid truth that a lot of people don't know is that zombies have strong grips. Where regular humans can tire from overworking their muscles, zombies don't necessarily have to.

Strong Bite - The stigma that a zombie's bite that can turn others into zombies is true but only for humans. That doesn't make getting bitten any more better, because it's still a rather powerful and strong bite. If the bite doesn't kill you, then the infection would kill you, and not the "zombie" infection. Just a regular run-of the-mil but deadly infection via germs within the first 30 minutes, because a zombie's mouth is just about the most disgusting place for all sorts of bacteria to rest on.

Patience - Being hot blooded can be a pain. Humans typically can't stand to wait in line for a bank for more then an hour and by nature more impatient. As a zombie, you can sit in a chair for three days and not care, because they're patient. Zombies are naturally more calm, collected and patient then their human counterpoints.

You Smell - Smelling like a rotting corpse just about sounds like the lamest power but consider that a distraction as someone tries to fend off a zombie. The scent of a zombie can throw off regular humans with regular smelling capabilities, just imagine the impact on a creature with an enhanced smell.

Also grants automatic immunity to being considered a feast for typical carnivorous and blood-sucking races.

(Partial) Immortality - Zombies are immortal. They don't bleed and you can't kill them through organ damage. They don't need water, food, sleep or even organs to keep on living. Their flesh, although initially rotten, repels all insects and flesh-eating insects to keep the natural elements of decomposition off of them for a couple of centuries.

My Weaknesses are: Aim for the head!" - In case you were separated from society in the last 60 years (which may be the case for some monsters), everyone and their pet cat know that the only way to kill a zombie is to destroy the brain.

Fire! - Skin susceptible to fire and gets scared of it.

Slow - Ever watch 28 Days Later? Great movie but that's not how it works. You see, zombies can't sprint. The most they can do is get that slow joggers' speed. The same applies to physical attacks, which are telegraphed, but strong.

Sub-par Reflexes - Ain't gonna lie, zombies have worser reflexes then human, and can't act in the same speed nor with the same flexibility they can.

You smell! - Seeing as how the smell tends to put creatures off, it gets him to a really bad start interacting with others, and sometimes even a downright hostile response.

Scent Identification: Johnny in particular, smells like a rotten corpse, which does not smell good at all. He'll try to mask the scene with couple of those pine fresheners people used to put in their cars but it doesn't work as well as he thinks it does.

Personality Check: Johnny is the calm and calculated type that likes to keep people at arms length while longing for some acceptance. He's not afraid of opening up, it's the idea he'll always be rejected, despite being used to being rejected by either communities or individuals. With acceptance, he craves respect, nothing like a power-hungry creature but the notion of being treated with some decency. Johnny's a big fan of history and could go on for hours regarding it, while morality is something that Johnny struggles with to comprehend and to make sense of.

My Current History: Johnny was born in California in the 1950's and went off to fight in the Vietnam War as a private when he was 18. When he was 20, his squad was in a firefight with the Vietcong, too distracted to notice the shuffling bodies in the distance. Johnny was among the first to get bitten but one of the four who survived after and were rushed to a medical facility, becoming a zombie.

He and others grew an insatiable appetite for flesh and infected everyone else in the compound. They still had their memories and whatnot but their hunger for flesh was strong.

US and Vietnam stopped the war to stop the spread of the zombie plague, focusing their efforts on eliminating all the remnants of the new theat. They succeeded- mostly. With Johnny being the only zombie left, the horde mentality for flesh was over, and he regained full control of his undead body. Speaking was difficult but after ten years, he started to get the hang of it, and at twenty years, he could speak (somewhat normally). The problem that remained was the chronic loneliness of a dead man. He turned others not out of hunger but out of desperation for companionship. However, they didn't share the same traits as he did. They had the hive mentality, the hunger for human flesh, yet still they were like family.

His "family" didn't last long.

When the humans were wiped out and monsters were rising up, Johnny got up from hiding too. An oppurtunity to meet people who were like him, different, yet not as different. His lack of social skills did nothing to earn him the community he wished for and he became bitter and angry. He was just as much an abomination among monsters as he was with humans but weaker as well.

In the end, he came to Akashinu, in the hopes of garnering respect and a shred of decency from others.

Anything Extra: - Cannot smell, taste, or feel
Pockets are always filled with something and uses the inside pockets of his jacket to carry the majority of objects.
Uses guns (primarily pistols), grenades(flash-bangs, smoke grenades, stun grenades) and since the humans have been wiped out & monsters took over:
Two pistol squirt guns of holy water, a 9mm magazine filled with specialty silver bullets, 12/12 left.
Carries a full bottle of vodka(despite being unable to get drunk), a few cassette tapes, CDs, stapler, black pair of gloves, sewing noodle and thread in a small bag.
Sometimes wears a black motorcycle helmet to protect his head.
Refers to himself in the third person.
Worked with cars in the army, Vietnam, and when he was a teenager..
Speaks Vietnamese.

So begins...

It was weird driving a car.

Ever since the humans were gone, cars were just lying everywhere, untouched and unfettered by pretty much everyone. Some reasons were rather understandable, can't fit in a car, too small to drive, can ran as fast as one, and Johnny gets that. It was the hippie elves who grinded his gears, whining about the fossil fuels, harmony with nature, and all that crap. The worst were just those that didn't know: like they've been living under a rock for the past hundreds of years. Some of them, hell, it looked like most of them were, using bows, arrows and swords to do their day-to-day massacres. Johnny was classier then that: he had a gun. Sure they had magic, teeth and claws as well, so at the end of the day he still had to be careful for anything that moved.

The scouting spot that he sent to was a bit far off then most but he didn't mind. He found a light blue 1980 ford sedan with the keys still in the ignition, no supplies inside, so most likely abandoned, and it saved up some time scouting, until he had to continue on foot towards the forest. All a bunch of nothing but trees and grass, no elves and their ilk. Makes sense really, not many animals nor fruit was around, at least from what Johnny could see. A few hours later, he came to a small cabin in the woods, the traditional log kind that teenagers in every horror movie gets slaughtered in. It looked like someone already had their fair share of the looting though, everything except (most) of the wooden floor boards were taken.

By the time Johnny got back in the car it was dark, with only the moon and stars to serve as illumination. With a look towards the leather watch on his dead left hand, it was 10:53.

Great, his first meeting and he was gonna be late. After driving back, he parked the car outside of the village, behind a few bushes and trees just so he can keep it hidden. No point in showing all your nice things to monsters that can rip it half with their claws.

The zombie took a moment to look himself in the rear view mirror. Yep, still dead, rotting, and generally looking like shit. He took off the fedora on his head, revealing his black hair with odd patches of skull in certain places and donned a black motorcycle helmet. Just in case, Johnny told himself. The little tree green air freshener hanging on the dashboard made it's way into his pocket. Just in case. .

His trenchcoat was heavy, not that he'd noticed, each pocket inside and out was filled with something. There wasn't much left in the car even the Rolling Stone's CD and Elvis tape, neither played throughout the whole drive back, was put into a pocket, somewhere. As much as he loved to listen to rock, Johnny was far too nervous to notice, going to meet the leader. It was hard not to; what with her being a dragon and all.

There was hardly anyone left in the massacred village, bodies, left and right yet no emotion touched the zombie's cold face. Really, it was all too normal, before the humans and after the humans.

The town square was absolutely a mess. Bodies and blood from every type of creature strewn about everywhere but most importantly, the dragon leader of Akashinu stood tall, whilst carrying some broken body, and another figure stood there as well in just a plain brown cloak. If Johnny was any regular person, he would've concerned himself whether or not it was a human, but he wasn't. Anything that looks strong is strong but anything that looks human, probably stronger and anything thats two sizes too small is the grim reaper incarnate.

No, the important question was whether that thing was on their side or not. Johhny's hand slipped into his trench coat, took the 9mm in hand, the barrel pressed against the thighs of his blue jeans. He could definitely hit her from this distance but he needed to be absolutely sure it was an ally. Suddenly he could hear Fume shout out something. For a second nothing happened, then something started to gather in the sky, a collection of red and orange came down all at once in enormous a pillar of fire.

Johnny wanted nothing but to run yet he was frozen in place with paralyzing fear. He slowly calmed down once he realized they were talking and that meant the fiery monstrosity is on their side. A demon, just great. The zombie subconsciously patted himself to make sure he had his squirt gun when suddenly there heard a screaming somewhere above him. By the time he turned, all he saw were a pair of black wings, and heard the rustling of bushes. Seeing as how was just a few feet behind the bush, he raised his handgun, and said in a clear, yet raspy voice, "If you don't want a silver bullet to go through your face, put your hands behind your head, and stand up."

Though the black motorcycle helmet was a godsend of protection, it also prevented him from biting in a close-quarters situation, but he had other tricks up his pockets if need be.

Fume Arato

Fume stopped in her tracks when the ifrit she called to made himself announced in front of her. She growled, "Pyrrhos, I advice you that next time, don't jump out in front of me." His fire show didn't impress her. What impressed her about him was that he could probably defeat someone who could have her weakness and was definitely strong. "You probably know, that since I called you, you're my new right-hand. Don't mess it up." She eyed him directly. then decided to step over him.

Her frills flickered as she continued on her merry way, north, to her special land, perfect to place the broken demon. "I need you to go find some holy metals, like a necklace or some chains. Chains would be preferable. I need it for my new pet. There may be some around this destroyed area. If you've been any good, you know where my special area is." She was not going to say out loud what that spot was. This could be a test for the ifrit to be right-hand. Yokio had known, and he should too. Any higher-up positions knew about it. Pawns, not so much unless they followed her. She made it a rule to not speak of it if they did.

A sudden scream caught Fume's attention and she drew her head to look that way. Nothing caught her eye, so she turned back to look at Pyrrhos, "Those are my orders. Go and meet me there after you're completed." As she continued walking, her mind wandered to thoughts of her pawns, some who were currently following her, or just headed to do their scouting. Some notable ones had missed the fight, one being Johnny.

(( The arrival of Fume to her special spot will be maybe after an hour through the roleplay-play. It should be easy to judge when that'll be. Nora needs a post, by the way. :P ))

Collaboration b/w Johnny and Mira

Johnny scowled as the figure turned around and started to question her, the figure strangely curvy. Although he hadn't expected the voice to be that of a woman's, it didn't matter, one death or another, it didn't matter who brought upon it. She complied so far but she was still all the more suspicious. "Turn around and start walking, toward the square."

She looked at the figure in front of her on last time before turning her head at it, "Well, farewell whoever you may be. I have better things to do," She started to stride off into the Town Square; she gave a final wave at the person behind her and laughed. Now then... Who to talk to...?

Good thing about being dead: you don't get shaky hands and stop fearing shadowy figures. For more than half of his life, Johnny was the shadowy figure, the flesh-eater. His aim was spot on the figure and with a squeeze of his finger, the gun sounded loudly, and the bullet sped towards the target. The problem that remained was whether or not the bullet was silver, what with two handguns in his trench coat, but either way it'll slow her.

She felt a sudden piercing feeling hit her shoulder, instantly she held her shoulder in pain and she could silver bullet lodged shallowly in her skin, purple blood starting to drip onto the ground below her. She shot her eyes behind her and it was luck that the moonlight was hitting the forest just right she could see a man with a trench coat on and his face covered. Either way, he will not get away with shooting at her. She would let go of her shoulder no matter how painful it was and pointed at him focusing her energy on the man. A purple, searing flame shot out of her finger and bolted towards the man. The projectile probably would not hit him exactly due to her current state but it might just set one of the fauna near him on fire to create a distraction for her to escape.

The figure stopped in place but it wasn't down. Johnny took it as a sign the silver bullets must be in the other handgun, which was perfect, since now he hadn't worry about conserving them. Already aiming at her, a simple moving of the hands towards the legs, and another pull of the trigger gave away to another loud gunshot. It was too late before he recognized the purple fireball coming towards him and unable to simply roll away, did the next best thing, and fell backwards, tucking in his head, as the fireball missed him and hit the tree next to him. The tree lit itself aflame with purple, and Johnny rolled away from it before slowly picking himself up, looking up to see if his shot to the leg hit.

This time she could see the silver bullet clearly, making a quick jump to the right she barely missed the bullet. She saw the tree near her target go up in flames and decided this was her chance to get away. Mira's wings heavily flapped easily as she slowly started to rise into the air. "You will pay for this creature!" She screamed at the figure that was now 4ft below her. She crossed her hands in the direction of the forest, "Burn!" Purple flames began to gather in her hands as it started to illuminate the night sky.

His eyes glanced left and right but no sight of the mysterious. Suddenly the familiar voice that shouted him sounded like it came from above and with little doubt; there she was, illuminated by the moonlight with her demon wings and barely clad in clothes. It brought upon a tiny second of shock before Johnny rose up his handgun and took aim with a two-handed grip. Four more shots, quick in succession, meant to just strike either the body or the wings, knock off her concentration and bring her down. Flying wasn't Johnny's forte.

The purple flame in her hands were almost at its peak, Busy with concentrating on the spell a sudden volley of bullets came towards her, Two piercing one of her wings, She let out a shriek. Throwing the balls of purple flames at her target prematurely because of her sudden distraction caused them to be less accurate. She started to fall more north of the town square because her wing was weakened, “Burn you monster," She whispered to herself before stretching her other wing to help soften the landing, It worked, she found herself landing on her knees in front of the Dragon, she stuck her fingers in the shoulder that got shot and pulled out the bullet, a few moments later it started to slowly heal. She lowered her head and spoke to the Dragon hastily, "Let me join your cause..." While falling she made her decision to try and offer her services to the Dragon and its cause whatever it may be.

Johnny grinned as the creature fell but the purple fireballs that were coming towards him were of no reassurance. He tried to shuffle his way out of the fire but it was useless, two of the succubus' fire striked him, one hitting his hand, and the other his back. His eyes grew wide when he saw flames overcome his hand and he fell on his back in a panic, the purple flame behind on his trench coat unintentionally extinguished, but leaving a scorched hole. The zombie's hand was still left aflame and he snapped his head left and right, looking for something to put out the fire with, unwilling to use his own clothes and body to put it out like the nightmare that was last time. The dead body of a creature lay with his mouth open beside the panicking undead and with a quick thinking; Johnny stuffed his hand in its scorched remains of his flesh. "Not this shit again." He whispered to himself in horror before cutting off his own heavy breathing, mouth and down his throat. If he was alive, Johnny would have tried apologizing, as he could imagine zombie flesh being quite unappetizing after a few moments of heavy breathing, some smoke started to come out, and Johnny took out his hand to examine the stupidly reminding himself he didn't even need to breathe, and shuffled as fast as he could towards the square, but no-one was there. He started to shuffle towards a random direction hoping to find the dragon before that demon did. It was a longshot but at last, something went right today, as he found where the succubus' body lay with the dragon.

"Arato! This is a spy!"

"Ah, THERE you are!" Nora said, landing behind Fume. She was still in her elven form, bloodied spear in hand. She grinned at the dragon, remembering having impaled her true target with the spear. "I think the Ice-Brain is dead, and if not, he's certainly dying. If you don't believe me, this is his blood on the spear. Surely you'd recognize the scent, Milady."

As Nora spoke, she looked at the newcomers. An odd bunch, really. One seemed to be a... zombie... but not the typical mindless beast with a bottomless stomach. It seemed... intelligent. The other was clearly a succubus. "And a gorgeous one at that." Nora thought, before shaking her head and sighing. Succubi never go for other females, unfortunately. She then glanced at Pyrrhos. What had Fume been thinking by putting him at second in command? Nora had been higher in rank, and more active. She had been so useful to Fume, and now this thing had stolen the position that was rightfully hers. Nora made a silent vow to eliminate Pyrrhos and take up her rightful position by Fume's side.

Fume tilted her head down, a creature landing in front of her causing her to stop walking. It's voice was rushed, but Fume got the idea. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that this was a succubus. A perfect attribute to the team. "Yeah, you can join, pawn. For now, go with Pyrrhos and follow him. He has power over you, by the way."
(this was giving to me by Dark Tiger for my post)

"Very well Fume. Succubus come with me I will explain our mission as we travel. A zombie that could only be assumes to be another pawn of the organization comes running up shortly after the orders are received yelling about a spy. "This is our newest member you would do well not to question the judgement of your higher ups. You are a pawn here for the furthering of our goals." Before they can leave what seems to be an elf landed shortly behind Fume and began bragging about having disabled one of the enemy's creatures. "You underestimate our enemies simple elf. They will have a healers. That much blood will not ensure a kill. Unless you have the creature's head in you hand you should assume it to be only wounded, and ready to fight again." He turns to his goal and begins to walk off. "Let's go succubus, We have a mission to complete."

After they walk for a distance and get out of earshot from the others. "Our mission is to gather Holy Metals. Chains are preferred. We will then deliver them directly to Fume." After continuing walking for a time. "What is your name I can't very well go around calling you Succubus for as long as your with us."

Fume Arato

After having accepting the succubus, Pyrrhos took over in talking with the succubus. Good for him, as he was showing the leadership that she assigned to him. As long as he doesn't step on her toes, she would like him to continue being in his rank. She could care less, honestly, about the succubus' name, only because Fume would probably still call the female seductress "Succubus" or "Batty" due to the way her wings looked. Plus, she was only a pawn. The sound of shuffling feet that could only be a known pawn to her caused her to sigh. So many interruptions! She just wanted to get her pet to her special land.

She turned around, staring at Johnny the zombie. Pyrrhos did so well in speaking to the pawn. She smirked, "Johnny, spy for who? Batty over there seemed so honest about joining. If you're so intent on to thinking she is this spy, you keep an eye on her." Her voice was the usual raspy sound, some hissing coming from between her teeth as she preferred to not open her mouth as much to speak currently. It sounded cool, though. Like she was intentionally sounded hissy.

Nora landing behind her caused her to turn back around. She could instantly smell Snowball's blood on the new weapon the phoenix held. She found it a tad humorous that Pyrrhos had called her an "elf." Fume held up a paw that still held Irsire's blood from when she had picked him up to place on her head, and who was still there. Her awesome new toy. "And this is the blood of my new pet. Pyrrhos has a point. We will see if Snowball is alive or not later on. Although, I'd prefer if he'd be dead." She didn't even bother to see Pyrrhos and the succubus walk off. She turned her head to look at the zombie man, "You either go scouting, follow Pyrrhos, or me. I could care less about what you would be doing at the moment. If you're going to be following me, though, I have some laws to lay down." That was a half-lie. If he went off spouting secrets of the Akashinu, then yeah, she would care. Those laws that she mentioned would be the ones about her awesome area.

She turned her eyesight to the phoenix, "You are to be following me, Nora." With those words, back to her own mission: get to her spot without further interruption. She needed to get her pet there before he decided to wake up and try to escape. Although, even if he tried, all she would do was splash some water here and there at him. Northward she began walking, again! Her tail swished enough to hit a metallic something, causing a rusted dent. Oh, those things that humans used to drive. Oh well. An hour to walk. At least now she would be out of the town. She thought about how she would have some rebuild it. Almost the same, but with more watery features? Yeah, that sounded right. Maybe she could find a dwarf that might have survived to build her a statue of herself.

Johnny clammed up the instant the fire demon shouted back at him, his teeth clenched behind the black motorcycle helmet that covered his face, silent in a mix of fear and anger. He'd get nowhere arguing with this brute but incinerated. The demon wasn't high on intelligence neither, mistaking one of the leaders as an elf, who normally have their trademark left ears.

And no wings either.

The zombie looked up to the dragon just as she asked him to keep on eye on her just as she told him to keep on eye on the succubus which she so affectionately named batty. "Yes Arato." Johnny said with a practiced patience to their raspy-voiced leader. The spy and the fire demon started to walk off together as the zombie watched, grinding his teeth again, snapping back his head to Fume as she addressed him again with an ultimatum. Either scout, follow Prryhos, the name of the fiery demon, or follow her.

There wasn't much left to scout in the town of ruins and he doubted his well-being to be put in the hands of two fire-wielding demons who can reduce him to ash in mere seconds. Besides, though Prryhos might be a little dim, he seems more then strong enough to deal with a spy if that need be. Least Johnny hoped so.

He didn't need to worry about any ground rules, although Fume had failed to elaborate these ground rules, Johnny could imagine them to be simple. However, he was losing them because zombies aren't famous for their amazing speed in comparison to dragons and phoenix even when walking. At his top shuffling speed he was losing them and he wasn't until he heard a metal thud and saw the dent in the side of his powder-blue car smashed in by the dragon's tail. His answer. The zombie wasn't as angry as he should have been and was more relieved, his transportation available so now he can travel just a bit faster, and really, cars were a dime a dozen but the old ones were a little harder to find. Luckily, it was just the side door that was a bit beat up, still (somewhat) ready to go. Without further adieu, he got in the drivers seat, took out a screwdriver, and crammed it in where the key should have gone.

With a twist of his wrist, the engine started up and purred, the screwdriver stayed in place and there was a bittersweet feeling to it all. Johnny sighed, taking his helmet off to get his peripheral view back, donned his hat and slowly drove the car beside the two, headlights on, then off. The side window was broken, so he could see the walking dragon and the phoenix. "Arato, you mind if Johnny brings his car, uh, this thing?" He patted the side of the vehicle with his burned hand, a tiny bit of burnt flesh sticking on to the side as he did so.

Fume Arato

Fume looked over when she heard the strangled sound of a purr, seeing Johnny the Zombie in the metallic thing. His question caused her to sneer, "Yes, Johnny. Fume doesn't mind if Johnny brings his thing."

With that, she continued walking, knowing Nora would be walking or flying with her, and Johnny would be following her in that strange rolling metal contraption.

Fume Arato

Walk, walk, walking, almost constant walking. At least there wasn't as many interruptions at this stretch. She knew she was only a mile from her special spot, itching with excitement. At this point, Fume was being very cautious about who could be following. She tapped on Johnny's metallic thing, "Get those lights off, or I smash them myself."

She looked to Nora, "You should already know the rules." She sat down, her left claw going up to scratch casually at the edge of her lip. "Johnny, I don't know if you know the rules. The main one is-" A scent in the air that was of the cold, which was strange for they were in a hot climate. At that point, she looked pointedly where the scent was coming from and seen Hikari walk out, "Higher-up, Hikari, I'm sure you'd have fun doing some things I've had planned. I don't know if you know the rules about coming in here though..."

She stood back up on all four feet, holding her head high, her broken demon toy still on her head. He hadn't really moved much, but she could tell he was still alive.

Once she was sure no one besides them were around, she spoke, "Rule one, the most important, when we get to the actual spot, you cannot tell about it to anyone, even if you might think they know about it. It is to stay a secret. If you don't agree with that, leave right now and scout out the areas the Akashinu controls. If I find out this rule is broken, let's say you get a special visit from me, and I'm going to have glorious fun. I cannot say the same for you.

"Rule number two, do not do anything to disturb the area. No burning, no digging, no trashing. As much as I love to destroy, this spot is to not become chaotic. Reasons I am not going to specify. Same punishment, although maybe slower, if this is broken." Her laying-down-the-law words were directed towards Hikari and Johnny, waiting for their response.

She was dreaming that she was standing at the foot of a snowy and treacherous mountain, she was in a blizzard and she was cold everytime she tryed to conjure a flame but the cold was to powerful, then at what seemed like at the peak at the mountain she barely saw a flash of crimson flames bursting from all directions. That was when she woke up to Pyrrhos telling her to wake up. "Mira wake up, It is time to leave we shouldn't keep Fume waiting any longer," He said, Mira stood up stretching from her short slumber. He took to the skys holding half of the metals they got from the Cathedral. "We must quicken our pace Fume will be angry if these do not arrive on time," Pyrrhos told Mira who was flying towards their destination, She also took to the skys holding the rest of the metals in her hands. I wonder if that dream meant anything...

With Arato's permission, Johnny drove on, smiling wide for a little while before realizing how mind-numbingly slow he was going. He went in cars for the speed, for that pedal to the metal, "screw you world, I'm doing 80!" mentality. Sure it was childish but it was also fun and more exciting. The idea of speeding off on ahead and leaving his boss to eat his exhaust wasn't polite, mainly because it would no doubt leave bad impressions...besides the obvious possible death and the fact that he wanted to know where the leader went at this time. No such thing as useless information after all.

For some time, Johnny started to quietly tap the side of the car with the full knowledge that they didn't know what he was tapping out, documenting his mental thoughts for ten minutes before focusing his attention to the radio. The radio stations were, no doubt, gone and playing nothing but static, but it wouldn't stop him from playing music. Back when he was alive, he made a special mix-tape, and kept it with him ever since he was turned. Johnny put the tape in, letting the car stereo play Elvis' jailhouse rock, forgetting to warn the dragon and the phoenix.

After the timeskip...

Another demon co-hort of Akashinu met with the group, and the two rules were explained. The first one was simple enough, a swearing to secrecy, no problem for Johnny. The second rule however, was ever so slightly odd, considering Fume's taste for destruction. It might be either an area of personal meaning or a crucial area in the dragon's business of gaining power.

Though Johnny had to resist the temptation from raising one hand up, putting the other in his undead heart, and saying: "I solemnly swear not to use my zombie powers to burn, freeze, annihilate or utterly decimate."

Instead, he shrugged. "Deal" He said before adding in a few seconds after, "About that special visit Arato, Johnny hope your definition of 'fun' doesn't involve biting...just a heads up is all."

Fume Arato

Fume nodded her head as they had agreed to those simple, easy-to-follow rules. To Johnny, she turned her head towards him, "As long as you follow the rules, you don't need to worry about it, Carcass." She moved her body to face the northern direction, her spot now only that tiny mile away.

Whatever was in Johnny's car was beginning to bug her. She looked back at him, "Whatever that racket is, turn it off. What is it anyway?" She knew what music was, but not whatever that could be.

With everyone probably following, she began walking the mile to the spot, which would not take long with her being able to walk in long strides, Nora being able to fly, Hikari probably going to fly or run, and Johnny in his blue metal thing that she heard him call a car earlier. She flickered her frills, a portion of her frills fluttering against Irsire. He still seemed to be out, but not being able to see him, she wasn't sure.

As soon as they were at what appeared to be a cavernous entrance with vines entwining around it, almost like it was grown over, she stopped, looking back at Johnny, "Get out of the metal thing now, Johnny. You're on foot. If you can't keep up, ask Hikari or Nora to carry you." She stepped over to the entrance, which went up to only seven feet tall, therefore her current height was too tall. She altered her height to be six and a half feet and stuck her head into the vines, making sure the demon upon her head wouldn't fall off, some of the vegetation snapping from the sudden pressure.

Fume walked into the cavern, leaving an obvious disturbance to the vines that once hid the cavern. Once in the cave, one could hear droplets of water dripping to the floor back in the cave somewhere. The mosses and fungi on the walls, ceiling and floor began to glow the further they would got into the cave, thus negating the need for any light if one would need it. The cave was a straight shot, but could confuse most simple minds. Which is why there were human skeletons along the wall; they couldn't make it. This made the special area ahead untouched by humans and a sacred land.

After that fight with Renth and Vorso, O.M.E.G.A was just sliding around the land with his blobby body north for an hour or two. He then notices an odd cave entrance with vines going over it. Near the cave entrance was and odd machine, a car actually. Inside the car was something that really lured O.M.E.G.A. It was a body, a fleshy. It looked dead, but acted alive. This made O.M.E.G.A hunger, but then he realized he was full, so he decided to meet with this 'person'. Near the 'person' was a phoenix or sorts and a demon, like the other one O.M.E.G.A saw. He decided to meet these people as well. O.M.E.G.A then charges up to this wheeled machineand stops right in front of the door. He then starts examining this machine, trying to learn how it works. While doing this O.M.E.G.A was making an odd alien sounding 'purr'.

Over Arato's order, Johnny turned off the stereo with a strong reluctance, but didn't show otherwise.

"That's Elvis' Jailhouse Rock, The zombie said, tapping his burnt fingers on the wheel before continuing, "-they called him The King."

By the time the group reached the entrance to the dragon's secret hiding spot, the mouth of a cave covered with vines, ripped open by Arato as she made her way inside. Johnny raised a brow of interest as she shrank herself down five more feet to fit in the entrance. Well experienced with the different sorts of wonders one gets to see for 11 years of insane monsters and magic, it'd be insulting to think he'd be surprised by such a display of magic, but equally so to think Johnny would forget such a capability.

Dragons are such odd things.

With the order to get out of the car, Johnny pulled at the screwdriver in the ignition, giving it a good twist to turn the ignition off. "Ah, fuck." He swore, using both hands before having some extra flesh from his burnt hand slip off the handle. "Son of a- just give a moment, this thing's being a pain!" He shouted the last part out his broken window towards the mouth of the cave, Arato, her prisoner, and the phoenix already gone inside. Two more heaves and the screwdriver twisted back into place with the ignition turned off, the engine settled, and now all it took was to pull the screwdriver out.

Although he could have left it in, hell, what if some wandering fool stole it? No more jacked cars until he found another one and that took a hell of a lot of time to find this one. Johnny pulled the screwdriver, before realizing it was still stuck, and positioned his legs against the car door, pushing against it for leverage, just hearing the strange purr of something but his mind was preoccupied. The zombie jolted the screwdriver free while the driver side car was flung open, colliding with the side of other side of the car.

Without further adieu, he stepped out of the car, unknowingly into some strange liquid before closing the door behind him and locking it from the inside. Sure, a meaningless action, but since no-one seemed to know how a car works, it was still a good bet for idiocy. Turned towards the entrance of the cave, he was just about ready to shuffle his way inside, and try to catch up to his superiors.

Fume Arato

Further into the glowing, cavernous tunnel, that would lead to the special area, she heard her pet speak. She threw her head up, her nose just barely grazing some glowing moss above, getting some of it upon her, and she laughed. "You had a sword? Really? I doubt you'll be able to get it."

Fume walked around a large stalagmite and her body vibrated with excitement. She could feel the land of sacredness coming closer and closer. Her toy demon's insult about her smelling a rotting dead body, she laughed again. "Not me, Sparky. That's the zombie."

Fume turned her head to look at Nora, "I have some things I'd like you to join me in when we get there. It'll be exciting." Fume flicked her tongue out and licked her lips just as she heard a different pair of footsteps walking up. Glancing back, she seen the ifrit, Pyrrhos, walking up, but dropping the metals. "Now, don't be lazy. Pick them back up and carry them to the area. We're still walking."

Looking up ahead, she could see strange light beginning to flood the cave. It was the end of the tunnel. Walked out, she came out beneath the full moon, making the area around them twinkle with beauty. This area was unlike many. Instead of the grass being green, it was blue. The water nearby was green. It was like a flip-flop of colors. To the left of the tunnel entrance, a green waterfall fell from the cliff and into a lake that emptied into the creek that would flow around the area. It wasn't a big place, but it was also important. With the dragon part of her, the sacred land wasn't bugging her. She wondered how it was for her demon pet, however.

Going toward the bank of the lake, she tilted her head down to let her pet fall onto the tall blue grass. She laid down, putting her head on top of her paws. She stared at her demon pet with glowing white eyes, "Nora, tie him up with those metals that Pyrrhos got."

Irsire Xion

Irsire rested upon Fume's head for awhile longer as they entered the strange but sacred land, he felt his skin crawl with anguish. Wherever they were, there was holy magic or energy ticking away at Irsire's power. His demonic side was quickly being rendered useless, while his elemental powers wouldn't be effected weilding them while his body was in a weakened and torn down state wasn't going to advance him any further. His body wouldn't recover as fast either, the whole situation stunk literally because of the zombie walking around and figuratively because he was useless now. His right arm was broken in several places along with having his shoulder dislocated, recovering his power and healing his arm was close to impossible in this place.

Fume rudely dropped him into the tall blue grass, rolling over and pushing himself up with his left hand Irsire glared at the Dragon "Might as well get me a splint for my arm, or relocate my shoulder the chains won't be to comfortable. Don't even give me a funny look you got exactly what you need to keep me in place, my arm is killing me," Irsire told Fume with a bright smile, pointing to the holy chains that were being brought over. "Why get lesser demon's to help you Fume, someone of your power only respects the strongest right?" At this point Irsire was bored, and starting up some harmless trouble wouldn't be so bad. Since Fume cared about preserving the area taunting her underlings into doing something stupid was apart of his plan.

"You have an lowly Ifrit, a succubus and some other type of demon, not to mention a flame bird. Such a rag tag group, all being loyal to the cause you propose, or maybe fearful of a demon dragon. I know us half breeds are strong but, I like fighting against you you actually mix it up. Once I get my blade I can show you my real power," Irsire commented, sitting up in the blue grass taking in the scenery. "If I didn't want to kill you, I would vacation here," he told her with a smile.

O.M.E.G.A then sees the walking body come out of the odd machine. O.M.E.G.A then turns into a copy of Johnny and latches on to Johnny like a sticker, a sticker that looked like a shadow version of Johnny. O.M.E.G.A is still dripping some goop though which makes a trail of black goop.

Fume Arato

Fume looked darkly at her pet demon. "Oh? You want me to help your arm? You're funny. The more uncomfortable you are, the better." The edges of her lips curled up into a snarling smile. His question about the lesser demons made her chuckle. "Because they're easier to control, and easier to replace. I don't even respect them." She could care less how she spoke in front of her "minions." They chose to join her for whatever reason, and even if they tried to leave, there was the very high possibility of her killing them first.

The fact that her new pet said he liked fighting with her made her raise her non-hairy brow. "Hm? I thought you were going full out in the first place." She laughed and rolled onto her back, loving the feel of the area around her. "I know you wouldn't vacation her, Toy. I can tell this place has weakened you." She was wondering why he was smiling, but all the better to break it when she got the chance to. Right now, she wanted to slide into the water to heal.

She rolled into the water next to her, causing a splash and ripples to feather from the plop. The green waters had the property to heal her, since she was of the water dragon. She could feel her jaw feeling a tad better and some of the tears in her wings closed or partially sewn. It wouldn't help completely, but it helped as much as it could.

Sticking her head out of the water and onto the grass, water dripped from her head and onto it. She looked at her pet just as she heard Pyrrhos spoke. She let her head drop to the left side, her right frill flickering. "Just drop the metals on him one by one. I want to see his reactions." She flicked water at her pet demon with her tail, "He'll learn to behave when I'm through with him." Her smile was wicked towards Irsire, wondering just how much he could take before cracking and begging to be killed or joining.

Her white gaze, while not really noticeable, flickered over towards Nora, "You, Nora, will get to interrogate him before I have may way. See what you can get out of him about the Shira-yuri. Do whatever you can to get whatever information."

Pyrrhos was beginning to get slightly annoyed with the demons constant talking. He lifted one of the heavier chains above the demon and flash heated it dropping it on top of the demons broken arm. "You would do well not to insult those that have captured you, or control your life as of current." Pyrrhos repeated his heating of the chains as he dropped the next one over the demon's neck. smiling.
