Sarcastic
Black is a master at the backhanded insult. When it comes to his enemies, he’s more likely to attack you with words before tackling you to the ground. He rarely gives out compliments, and if he does he’ll make it as hard to understand as possible (“oh, that was much better then anything I’ve seen you do before”). He likes insulting people in as many ways possible, and doesn’t really mind that people think he’s a jerk because of that. Heck, if you call him a jerk he’ll just reply with another stinging comment. He really has no end to the insults, and even when he’s fighting he’ll be spitting out the first thing that comes to his mind. You can say that he does just as much damage with his words as he does with his fists.
”This is so interesting I think I’m going to faint!”

Angry
It’s not quite like he’ll randomly attack you for no apparent reason, but it’s surprisingly easy to wind him up anyway. If you really want to, or even if you don’t, you can make him leap at you and start beating the crap outta you. Most of the time it’s just instinct, and he doesn’t really want to hurt you (there are exceptions, of course). It’s not even like he likes violence either, because afterwards he’ll become withdrawn and keep as far away from you as possible. He obviously feels regret when he attacks you (unless he honestly dislikes you), but he’s the kind of guy who doesn’t really do the whole ‘apologizing’ thing. Or anything emotionally-related.
”You wanna go?!”

Reckless
You’ve never seen anyone with less regard for his or her own safety. Or, well, maybe you have, -coughXanecough- but that’s besides the point. When it comes to fights, Black doesn’t have a defensive plan so much as a ‘let’s kick his/its ass before it kills me’ plan. He’ll jump headfirst into danger and generally do whatever he feels like. Even when he has a sinking feeling he’ll continue. Whether it’s yelling at someone for something they did, or attack some random beast/monster, he’ll do it for as long as he feels like it. You can’t convince him otherwise unless you are very good friends, and even then he’s stubborn as a mule at times. Personal safety is a phrase Black clearly doesn’t believe in.
”It’s nothing much, just jumping off a few high places and climbing onto roofs.”

Unconfident
Surprising, right? You’d think that Black has no lack of self-esteem, but everything you shout at him, every insult you shoot, bites deep and won’t leave. Black acts like he’s high and mighty, and nothing you say touches him, but it’s just a clever façade. He thinks that he won’t have to deal with a lot of trouble if people think they can’t touch him, and that’s his logic. On the inside he is just struggling to keep afloat, doing his best to keep up his mask and balance who he really is inside. It rarely shows, though, and his mask is never let down to anyone… No, no one has the privilege of seeing the ‘true’ him.
”Now is when you fuck off.”

Lost
After discovering that his whole life as he knew it was just a lie, Black dealt with it badly. He doesn’t like to think that his first love, his family, everything was just a lie. He keeps it hidden with anger and more then your usual amount of cockiness, but really just wants Ace to pay. For what, Black isn’t sure. But for something, that’s a guarantee.
”I’m going to kill him.”

Powers
Black can increase a particular physical ability by about fifty percent. Basically he can make himself stronger, faster, able to hold his breath longer, and so on. Only one at a time, though, and it only lasts for ten minutes. When it ends, that trait is lowered by about twenty-five percent, so he has to pick and choose carefully.
”Cool, right?”

Extreme Event
Black always was struggling with the whole sexuality thing. He liked all the things boys were supposed to, after all, except for girls. Sports, violent video games, and all that were his thing. But, well, he liked guys. It wasn’t like he had a crush on his best friend or anything. Nope, instead he found himself head-over-heels in love with the transfer student, Michael. They quickly became friends, but Black was terrified of loosing what he had and didn’t make any moves. Still, they did everything together. Michael was able to stand Black’s personality and antics, and there was nothing Michael could do to keep Black off of him. Not quite a match made in heaven (they had their fall outs), they were always able to forgive each other and just move on. Then the glitch happened.

Black was staying after school to help Michael with some math tutoring, and… Well, maybe it was something about Michael’s uniform that day, or the sun, or maybe just some random instinct. To put it simply, Black ended up making out with Michael on the teacher’s desk. It went farther (not going to scar you guys ^^) and Black was certain that life could not get any better. He was with Michael, Michael was with him; they were in love.

Then the voices started.
”T-This has nothing to do with me!”

Fears/Phobias
-Black will not even wonder what it would be like if others discovered he was gay. Something about others discovering his ‘secret’ terrifies him. He’s seen other kids get pushed away and bullied because of their sexuality, so Black keeps that piece of information to himself and does his best to pretend he’s straight.

-Loosing people close to him. You can make the argument that Black pushes others away on purpose, and you’d probably be right. Black doesn’t like to loose friends or anyone closer, so he either pushes you away or doesn’t really consider you his friend. Most of the people he claims to be ‘friends’ with he couldn’t care less about. Or he tries not to. Usually it’s not too hard.

-Water. It sounds ridiculously stupid, but Black can’t swim. Or, well, he can’t swim well. He can doggy-paddle all right, but the idea of actually enjoying the water is insane to him. If you ask him to swim he’ll have a million excuses, ranging from having something else to do to insulting you and taking your mind off of what you were asking him. Water does not go well with him. And if you happen to push him in… Well, let’s just say you better know CPR. And like dying.
”So, how about we talk about something more interesting? I mean, considering you can't hold a conversation or anything...”

History
Black wasn’t that amazingly of a kid. He was good at math, sure, but not enough to mark him out as different. He was the older brother of two twin sisters, and his parents were happily married. The only major thing worth mentioning is that one of his sisters drowned when he was five, and because he wasn’t old enough to help her he was pretty much forced to watch her die. He’s always blamed himself about it, and that’s where he gets his fear of water and fear of loosing people. Even after his parents tried to make him take swimming lessons, he always resisted. Once his father lost his temper and pushed Black into the pool, and he almost killed himself by panicking.
”I refuse to believe it’s all a lie… It can’t be.”

Other
Black has taken the whole machine-life thing hard. He doesn’t like accepting the fact that his friends and family, especially Michael, were all just lies. Now he’s actually somewhat paranoid, and somewhat scared of making bonds with others. On a side note, Black has been taking fencing since he was a young boy, and he's pretty good with a blade.
”I’m going to find the truth, and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.”
