Digging A Little Deeper

Personality
Lilith is puzzling to say the least. The only person she is truly herself with is Eric, him being the only person she feels that she can truly trust. Lilith has trust issues for obvious reasons, stolen away from her family and put in a strange, dangerous and dark place. She usually shy's away from people afraid of hurting them or them hurting her.

Lilith is pretty cold and stoic but she's also very kind, especially to the younger generation those monsters have kidnapped. She's incredibly intelligent for her age and limited education. Lilith, even though she may seem distant and cold to most, is actually very kind and caring.

She's also got a hot temper, things she dislikes usually light the fuse. She has a deep hatred of the scientists and has killed some who have angered her to a point that she couldn't hold it back anymore. There are only two ways for her to calm down and that is immersing herself in water or being with Eric.
I am the way I am, there's no changing me so don't even try.

I just find these things special enough to enjoy.

Dislikes
The Heart House | Scientists | Being Trapped | Stale Bread |
Fakes | The facility guards | Being touched by strangers |
People she doesn't know | Large crowds | Mushrooms | Smoke |
Drunks | Being to hot | Being to cold |
They all make my stomach churn and make a bad taste on my tongue.

Strengths
Communicating with the dead |
Its easy been doing it since I was a wee girl, they come to me.

Summoning |
Its takes alot of focus but is pretty easy

Reanimation |
Again simple, but the spirits aren't your biggest fans when you push them back into their decaying bodies and start bossing them around and they have to listen.

Healing |
It all depends on how much I want it.

Darkness Manipulation |
Pretty easy to control though I don't use it much.

Death Manipulation |
I have a habit of making people drop down cold and dead to the floor when I'm angry...

Resurrection |
I have never done it before but trust me it won't be easy....or painless.

Time Control |
I've done it once when a guard almost touched me when I was asleep....sick bastards!

Teleportation |
I have no idea how to use it.....or else I'd be free long time ago.

Being in a graveyard |
It makes me stronger in every way possible.

Weaknesses
Her Temper |
Yes I have a quick and very bad temper, piss me off and you will find yourself dead.

Eric |
He's my best friend and the only person that can calm be down when I'm angry.

Loud Noises |
Again with the temper....loud noises tend to piss me off....alot.

Fears
Never finding love |
I am a girl after all, I can fear something completely and utterly stupid!

Not finding her father |
He's the only blood relative I have...

Finding her father and him hating her |
That possibility is even worse then not finding him.

Losing Eric |
Alot of things will die the day this ever happens.

Killing a child |
I don't think I could stomach hurting a child, it makes me sick just thinking about it.

History
Lilith Shadow Grim is only daughter of the legendary GrimReaper ,the daughter of death himself, though his really name is Azrael Grim . Her mother was a pure blood Reaper named Victoria Winter. For these two it was love at first sight, him having saved her for pirates pillaging her home in the late 1650's. Azrael having the power of immortality because he was death, blessed his love with eternal youth. Many decades later Victoria fell pregnant. This was both a blessing and a curse. The reason Reaper's are so rare is because it is almost impossible for two Reaper's to reproduce but if they somehow do it is a one out of fifty chance the child will survive. The day of Lilith's birth was on all hallow's eve or Halloween. Victoria's labor was more painful then that of normal childbirth. It seemed that once Lilith was removed from her mother Azrael's spell of immortality left with the child and Victoria soon died afterwards, not even getting the chance to hold their child. With Azrael distressing over his dead wife he didn't even notice the doctor who was a witch fall to the ground. The screams of his daughter brought Azrael out of his distressed state to see the witch had fallen. As he went to help her he found she was dead, the life literally sucked out of her. He took Lilith from the witches dead arms and held her whimpering tiny form close to him. He was amazed that the infant had killed the woman just by being held and knew Lilith would one day be even more powerful then him. The pure energy that radiated from her felt even to much for him. Though over the two years he had her with him Azrael cherished his baby girl. Lilith's facial feature's and eyes were that of her mother's while everything else was a dead ringer for himself. Lilith was his little princess. Azrael gave Lilith the bracelet not only so that she can summon her Reaper weapon, which was surprisingly a scythe similar to Azrael, but to also control her powers over death. Now whenever she touches something or someone they aren't instantly drained of life. So the night she was taken from him was Azrael's worse nightmare. He search for years yet couldn't find her. He gave up hope and has become less merciless in his killings. When Lilith first arrived at the Heart House the scientists had removed her bracelet and she had seen a little boy. For some reason she took an instantly liking to him and had tried to help free him, touching the people holding her until the fell to the group dead. The people holding the boy looked down at her in horror but before Lilith could touch them she was shot with a dart with a sleeping fluid and fell instantly asleep. The scientists relieved their mistake and gave Lilith back her bracelet. Over the years she have gotten to know Eric and they are now best friends.

Other
Lilith is actually a very skillful theft. She's secretly educated herself in vehicle's and other electric's. Even though she has never physical touched anything she has learned about she still wise about it.

Lilith Grim

Image
"Lights out ya monster's" A thick accented gruff voice echoed through the rusty steel walls of the hallway. Lilith glared at her bared door from her cot, she knew who's voice that was. Adair, one of seemingly many guards that have tried to molest her in her sleep. He is one of the only ones to survive her counter attack but came out of it with a dead arm. He whistled a tune Lilith was unfamiliar with and finally made his way to infront of her cell. His thinning dark red hair and piercing blue eyes looked harsh under the bright white lights of the fluorescent bulbs. He glared back at her, mouthing something that she didn't catch and then moved on, continuing his whistling. Bastard.

Once his whistling faded the hallways went dark, the only light being a small red bulb on the security camera. Tonight was the night, they were finally going to get out of here. Under the circumstances it was saddening. The scientist's had decided to kill the second generation of children today. Lilith had heard them say that the children's powers were 'weak' and 'insignificant' to the first generation's powers, aka Lilith and the rest of her age group. The fact that there way of escaping was for Lilith to use the bodies of the dead children to release them made her stomach churn but she knew that tonight was the only chance they would get cause by morning the children's bodies would be burned to ashes. No evidence of them ever being there. Lilith glanced at the clock on her light blue cell wall. It always surprised her that the scientists made them somewhere nice to live instead of an old, rundown house. She noted that it was midnight.

Its time.

Folding her legs underneath her on the bed Lilith imagined the still, cold bodies of the children and willed them to rise. She pictured them moving in a group, silently coming towards their cell wing. She sent one little blonde boy to get the keys from a sleeping guard. Quin was a fat and lazy man who didn't move from his post outside their cell wing, that is until Lilith and the other girls go for their shower's to which he always volunteers to 'watch' over them. Fucking pervert. Lilith commanded the boy to take Quin's knife them slice his neck. Lilith mentally saw through the boy's eyes as the blade slashed through Quin's fat throat then plug into his head. Instant kill. The little boy took the keys, dropped the knife and went back to the door. From her cell Lilith heard the sound of the big steel door being opened. She imagined them walking to each cell and unlocking it. Lilith heard the sound of her cell door being unlocked. She opened her now blazing stormy silver eyes and stood from the bed, grabbed the small brown backpack she had, which had the three outfits she owned and all the money and wallets she had stolen. She shot power into her bracelet making her scythe appear in her hand, the long intimidating blade seemed to curl protectively above her. Lilith left her cell and she saw the other's. The dead children crowded around Lilith but she didn't mind cause they were short and even though they were dead Lilith had a soft spot for children.

"Come" Was all Lilith said as they started to move forward, the children in front of the group of young adult's, keeping watch and making sure there were no guards or scientists. An uneasy feeling churned in Lilith stomach as she saw the exit. The door she had only come through once in her life. Once as entrance now an exit. Yet it all seemed to easy. Usually the hallways were crawling with guards and white coated people, yet not now. Why not now?

"Shit" Lilith cursed quietly and stopped. The children halted in the foot steps.

"I think they know our plan and I believe those bastards are waiting outside for us" Lilith said, concern lacing her voice. It was a full moon tonight so she knew they all would be at their strongest yet also the fact that these people have been studying them for year's. They know all of their weakness. Breathing in a deep calming breath Lilith started to walk again bracing herself for a fight, her hands gripping her scythe so tightly her knuckles were white. The group stopped at the door and Lilith made the children go first, making them run. She instantly heard the sounds of gun fire. She mentally saw the children fall but made them rise again.

"Shit its Lilith!" she heard a female voice shout then some panicking noises.

"Stand your ground men!" the same female voice commanded. Lilith urged the children forward, she heard more gun fire but this time she was prepared, making sure they stayed on their feet. She mentally commanded them to attack as they slipped through the guards defenses. Lilith was looking through the eyes of a small brunette girl, whom swiftly attacked a male guard Lilith didn't know. The girl bite hard into the man's leg with razor like fangs, giving Lilith the impression that the little girl was once a vampire. Lilith watched with sick satisfaction as the children started ripping into the guards.

"We should go, now" Lilith said calmly, opening the thick steel doors to the outside.

"LOOK!" she heard someone shout and turned to see Adair and him pointing his meaty finger at her and the group. A snarling voice left Lilith's lips as the pulled back in anger. Seconds later she ran the black blade of her scythe through the man, cutting him in half vertically. The pieces fell sideways allowing his inner's the gush and drop, spilling out of him. Lilith glared at the body of the fallen man then smiled as she saw his soul fluttering away, she grabbed it the yellow orb like species glowing it her hand. With a flex of her finger's she crushed the orb. Now that man will be forever stuck in a dark abyss between heaven, hell and earth. Lilith rushed back to the group.

"If we get separated we most promise that we will all meet in the nearest town" Lilith said sternly. A chorus of 'I promise' echoed through the group. Lilith nodded her head then shot around looking at the group of guards and scientists. Gripping her scythe tightly Lilith shot forward.

Lilith took in harsh, deep breaths as she tried to calm her racing heart. She has never run that fast or that long in her life. Bending over she put her hands on her knees and tried to catch her breath. She didn't know where she was or where anyone else was for that matter. Glancing around all she saw were taller, imposing ever greens. It was still dark out and Lilith could barely see ten feet in front of her. Finally catching her breath she stood straight. Hopefully she had ditched those guards that tried to follow her. With her heart still racing Lilith moved forward, she will admit she was exhausted. Using that many child had tired her out. She walked over to a large tree with low hanging branches and started to climb up. She made it to the fourth branch until she stop. It was thick and would hold her up fine. Thank goodness she didn't toss and turn in her sleep. Her eyes started to close until she heard a twig snap and shot up. Looking around Lilith's eyes snapped to a shadow. Worry coursed through her cause she didn't even have the energy to bring forth her scythe. But when the shadow came into the moonlight Lilith relaxed.

"Eric, thank goodness" she breathed softly as she hopped out of the tree and tackled the man in a hug.

Image Image Tap Tap Tap Isaac laid there in silance, his body seemed lifeless. It was as if he was dead just like the children from the second generation, Isaac laid. Tap Tap Tap

"Oi! You still alive in there?" Adair started to chuckle. "Ooooh yeahhhh, That's right. Of course you aren't alive. How can someone like you be ever alive." Adair had a tone of taunting. You could tell he wanted to stir up Isaac, just to give him an excuse to kill him. But he was use to Adair's actions and words. "Oh did I hit a nerve? No? It's a bummer we have to kill you once we are done with you. Must be hard only getting a drop of animal blood a day. I wonder what your mother would think?" His voice smiled, Isaac could feel his eyes stare down at him.

This time a nerve was hit. His eyes opened, the grin in his eyes shifted into a silvery color within his green. Staring at the ceiling now, it took alot in him to not get up and try to kill this man, but how could he? Sure a drop of blood was enough to keep him going, but it was animal blood, by just getting a drop of it, he was like any other human being. Weak and....normal. So he thought anyways, in truth he was always stronger than any mere human, or any other creature out there, even if he was in the weakest state possible, he still was strong and fast. This was pretty much the only time Isaac ever felt nearly human. Was the only time he could ever feel at peace, even if he wasn't n a peaceful place.

"How does it feel to be all alone?" Adair chuckled again. "Even his own mother didn't want him." Adair started to walk off while whistling a song. Adair made his normal route around the cells, checking in on the "monsters". But everytime this happens, he always has something to say to Isaac.

"Tch" Isaac clicked his tongue in anger while smashing his hand and arm against the wall. The loud bang echoed through the walls and nothing more was left. He waited just like that until it was time for them to go. Until it was his cue to get out of here, but not until after he got to kill Adair.

Not long after that Isaac heard the sounds of pit pat noises going through the halls. He heard this before and he knew what it was The sound of children's bear feet tapping along the floor. He then heard the sound of the guards throat being gashed open. "Damn it! Stupid kids! If you'd just make him so he couldn't use his arms, that would have been alot better! But thanks, alot! I see you really care even after life." Isaac rolled his eyes and grabbed his leather black jacket and his bag along with his stuff inside. "Now thanks to you...-" The cell door opened as he started to walk out. "-..I have nothing to make myself useful with! Damn brats." He looked at the guards dead body and sighed. "Such a waste, poor guy. Killed by a child a dead one at that. Humans can be so weak." He looked at the body as if disappointed. "Hey Lil, I know you are in these kids. I can sense you. Thanks." Was all he said and started to follow the kids towards the 'fairie's' room.

Isaac stopped the kid just before he was about to cut the sleeping guard. "Hey" He started to growl his words in a whisper. "I got this. Stay out of my way damn brat! Unlike you I need this man to do me some service." He moved the kit out of the way by his head, the lifeless body stubbled like a puppet at the same time Isaac's eyes shined a bright blood red, his pupil turned into a straight line from the dot it was. His teeth shined a bright pearl white and with a crunch of the neck, the guard woke up instantly, but before he could yell, Isaac ripped out the guys tongue. Getting his fill, he started to chuckle at the high it gave him. He felt even stronger now.

Wiping his mouth the kids let the cell door open and the fair came out to greet him with a tongue and a teasing look, but he didn't reply. By the time they got out the action took place, the guards were there and the creatures took action, and of course he noticed the fairy leaving. Typical of that. Isaac shook his head, just standing there watching everything take place. In that moment he felt the death of Adair's presents, shortly after it was gone in the same instant. "Lil.." he whispered her name knowing she is the one at fault.

He huffed A few guards started to circle around him, his face was blank but after he noticed that there was about 5 he smiled. "Really? Only five? Who do you take me for? A Shapeshifter?" He laughed, highly amused. "Come on now." In a blink of an eye Isaac was already wiping blood from his lips. "Thank you for that kind meal. Sacrificing yourselves was so much fun!" Their bodies fell to the ground, cold and dead, you could tell they had no blood left in them.

Once he was done he made his way in the direction of the scent of fairy. Wasn't hard to spot out, but it was alot more easier to endure than it was to endure a 'Dog' or any of the others, even the 'Reaper' was easy to smell out, she had a power that anyone could since. But he took the easier way around it and just went with the 'Fairy'. He picked up the bag that he had dropped and headed to his destination. With a smirk on his face he purposely bumped into the Fairy girl who had protected herself from the cold wind, a wind that felt warm to Isaac.

He chuckled as she went on complaining after she noticed who it was. "Calm down pixystick, or I'll take tinkerbells light away." He smirked. but with her words that amused him, he decided not to tell her that she wasn't stuck with him, that the others weren't really that far away, but he shook his head and went along with it. "So we are stuck together. Would you rather I leave you? I mean after all you are a Fairy, i am sure you can handle yourself inside the woods, where there is sure to be more guards, but hey, you don't want to be stuck with me right?" He winked at her and waved his hand. "I guess I'll just be off then, good luck out here on your own, Pixystick." He didn't use his speed this time and started to head in the direction to where he knew the others weren't.

Eric sat on the floor, his eyes closed as he ignored the banging Adair made as he walked past the other cages until the footsteps finally made their last stop in front of his own cage. ”Open yer ruddy eyes, ya beast.” the guard taunted. Eric could hear the light pattering of spittle falling to the ground as the guard spoke, and forced himself to not respond to the guard's overbearing taunt. “I said, open yer ruddy eyes!” The guard banged his hand on the fortified glass that Eric’s cell had, only to have Eric suddenly standing in front of him, his eyes wide open, and his teeth sharp canines. “Go and do your job, Adair; don't bother me.” Eric said, emotionlessly. “Or that door there,” he pointed at the metal door that led out of his cell, ”Will, probably, magically come off.” Eric smiled lightly, making sure to flash his canines again, as the guard backed off, unable to hear what Eric was saying but feeling and understanding the threat. Eric sat back down in his original place in the center of his cell as he could hear Adair mutter, once again but this time to him, bastard, as the hallway went dark and silent. No more whistling.

He knew that Lilith was up to something; this morning, when he had been dragged out of his cell and past the others, he had caught Lilith’s eye. The look on her face was one of excitement, sadness, and anticipation. He had not been able to talk with the others for months after he had nearly killed another scientist during an experiment, and had been taken away and locked up in the highly fortified glass cage he was currently in, with sent meals and no exercise periods; Eric figured out, through the body language of the other supernaturals, that they had planned to escape, and from Lilith's expression earlier, the plan was to be executed tonight. Eric had come back to his cell filled with anticipation as night came, his powers swirling inside him, the beast inside him howling to the full moon he could not see. He closed his eyes, calming the rising sense of adrenaline in his body when suddenly a resounding click echoed throughout his room, the metal door he had referred to earlier opening to show the small figure of a young boy. “V-Vincent?” he asked, confused as he walked up to the younger shapeshifter the facility had caught only just a few years ago. As he grabbed the boy’s shoulder, a look dawned on Eric’s face. Lilith is controlling the children…they killed the children... No...they will pay for this. he snarled with anger, letting go of the child as Vincent ran to join Lilith, who stood farther away down the hall with the other supernaturals of his group surrounding her. He barely had time to answer her promise of meeting up at the village before his best friend darted out of their life-long prison, her large scythe in hand, right after the children.

Bounding out after the others, Eric flexed his tired muscles and ran straight onto one of the towers that held soldiers with machine guns, firing rapidly at the other supernaturals. He growled as he dodged bullets, hissing as one hit his shoulder, and made his hands and feet form claws, before rapidly grabbing the metal of the tower. The metal felt like cloth in his hands, as his enhanced strength helped him secure his hands and feet into the metal, and propelled him up the tower with inhumane speed. He quickly leapt into the standing the soldiers were in and decapitated them, twisting their heads rapidly with loud snaps. He hid in the standing before peeping down at the ground, only to see that the girls had already left. Only he and the vampire remained fighting the guards. After some deliberation, Eric jumped from the pit, landing with a grunt on the ground before propelling forwards, using the force of jumping down to propel his dash forward. He ignored the vampire as he rushed past the zipping figures around him, his speed causing his ears to fill with the sound of rushing air, and ran out of the facility, the large gate that had constantly blocked them from freedom open wide.

His heart pounded as he rushed through the woods, his only thought to get as far away from the facility as possible before he came to a stop, falling over as his hands and heels dug into the ground to stop his speeding. He looked around and noticed that the forest was eerily quiet, and that he was alone. Did Lilith make it out safe?! Eric lifted his head and sniffed, only faintly noticing Lilith’s scent in the air. He quickly picked up his pace and ran in her direction, his eyes picking up all movements around him, his ears listening to the scurrying of all the little critters whom were frightened by his presence. Eric felt extremely disoriented- even his nose seemed to be playing tricks on him as other smells bombarded him, tickling his senses as he made his way through the forest. He finally came to a stop as he eyed a tree with low hanging branches with Lilith’s scent sprayed all over the area. ”…Lilith?” he whispered, walking towards the tree as a branch snapped under his feet, causing him to flinch. He took another step forward this time carefully, wavering for a while before finally walking out into the moonlight, bracing himself in case Lilith wasn’t the one who was going to come out from around the tree.

To his relief, he heard a familiar voice whisper his name, and chuckled as he grabbed Lilith into a hug as she jumped out of the tree, cutting her tackle to a stop. ”Thank God you are safe." He muttered, hugging her tight, trying to keep his strength in check. His body shook as the adrenaline finally wore off and was replaced with anger and worry, as his eyes flitted around, carefully observing their surroundings.

Lilith Grim

Image
Lilith giggled lightly as she felt Eric’s strong hold on her tighten. She knew he was worried, mad and anxious she felt the same way and in the supernatural world emotion’s played a huge role in their powers. It’s like the two are connected, it doesn’t matter how much control you have your emotions will over through control.

“Eric you’re squeezing to hard” Lilith wheeled backing out of his hold. He let her go easy enough but she still felt like she had to fight it. Lilith stiffened as she heard more noises, the thudding sounds of footsteps hitting the moist ground.

“Shit they found us” Lilith cursed quietly completely getting out of Eric’s hold and turning towards the noise. She didn’t have enhanced hearing like Eric but her hearing was better than a humans.

“We should go now” Lilith said quietly to Eric, grabbing his hand to pulling him into the shadows. They weren’t fast enough though as a beam of light focused on them.

“Its Reaper and Shifter, I repeat Reaper and Shifter!” a male shouted. He jumped from the bushes gun in hand pointed at Lilith and Eric. Moments later seven other men joined him, all pointing their guns at the supernatural pair.

“Hands up where we can see them!” the man shouted. Lilith growled narrowing her eyes at the group. Like hell she would come easily, fuck that. Then an idea popped into her head and Lilith removed her bracelet, ignoring the warning bells in the back of her mind. She put it in Eric’s hand, for as long as he had the bracelet her powers wouldn’t affect him.

“Don’t let go of this” she said sternly, indicating the bracelet. She then let go of his hand and raised her hands above her head and moved forward.

“Slowly bitch”
the man snapped making Lilith glare at the man her anger spiked instantly. She walked until he signaled for her to stop.

“You two grab her the rest get the shifter” the man ordered as he and two other’s walked over to Lilith. They all grabbed her and moments later fell to the ground at her feet. The four remaining men looked at her in surprise and fear, halting in their footsteps.

“What the fuck just happened?” a guard shouted, readying his gun but Lilith was faster rushing over to the group and grabbing hold of their hands. Seconds later they too fell to her feet as death overcame them.

“Alright now that they are out of the way, we should get moving and try to find the nearest town, which shouldn’t be too hard with that nose of yours” Lilith teased as she walked back over to Eric and took bracelet. She glanced down at the bodies then the area they were in. All the trees and plants were now brown and dead instead of the vibrant green they once were. The reason the men died so quickly was because the aura around Lilith had affected them, draining them slowly and then once she made skin contact she drained their life instantly. That’s why she had Eric hold her bracelet, it protected him from her power. She put the bracelet back on and felt her power’s being forced back, under control now.

“Shall we?” she smiled as she started moving forward.

Eric had tensed for a while, unsure of whether what he was hearing were footsteps or not- the sound of owl’s hooting and bugs chewing away at bark was just too cacophonous- and when he did, it was already too late. He let go of Lilith as she backed out of his embrace and was about to catch her and bound into the woods but the moment he had turned on his heels, a male voice suddenly shot out from the foliage. Eric turned and squinted through the trees, trying to make out if the guards had brought any weapons, but a large white flash beamed in his face, his eyes watering instantly as he turned away quickly.

“It’s Reaper and Shifter, I repeat Reaper and Shifter!” Unconsciously, Eric unsheathed his claws and fangs as he heard the man speak into the walkie-talkie, fury building inside him until Lilith suddenly stepped up to him and handed him something. “…Lilith?” he shot a curious look at Lilith’s receding back, as he glanced down at the small piece of jewelry she had just handed over to him. He knew how deadly Lilith’s powers were, and decided to not interfere; he didn’t want to take his chances around his best friend when she was on a roll. Anyways, he had always wanted to see the extent of her powers- never before had they really been able to see it, even when they were jailed together back when they were children. Her powers, at the time, had been underdeveloped, and, before she was reaped, had finally stepped into her powers.

But now it was different. Eric watched with slight amusement as Lilith walked towards the men. When he heard what the men called Lilith, he snapped and growled at them, especially at the one who ordered her around. He didn't attack, however, as he noticed that Lilith was extremely docile, for once. That is, her act of docility was extremely convincing until other men came forward, grabbed her, and dropped to the ground lifeless within seconds. So this…is the extent of Lilith Grim’s powers. Eric felt a shiver run down his spine as he watched Lilith run between the guards, touching their hands, weaving to and fro between the men and trees as if she were participating in some sort of beautiful ritual dance. He felt like he was in a trance as he watched her move, her powers seeping the life out of everything around her, even the trees in the area. Eric barely even noticed when Lilith came to stand in front of him, gently tugging the bracelet out of his hands.

“Well,” he said, an eyebrow raised as he looked down at Lilith, “Yes, we should get moving. This way, actually-“ he stopped and sniffed. Eric sneezed, unable to take in the multitudes of smells the forest had for him. He was used to dull chlorine and the basic scents of other supernaturals and humans, but not an amalgam of almost- he thought- everything placed together. His pinched his nose as he turned towards Lilith and whispered, “Wait a second.”

Eric let go of his nose and let out a whistle, beckoning for a bird to come. He grinned as a hawk landed on his outstretched hand, seeing specific types of animals for the first time always pleased Eric. Quietly, he asked the bird where the next village in, and the hawk replied him with a screech, a screech that Eric understood as if the hawk had spoken English. Nodding, he turned to Lilith; the hawk still perched on his right hand, and grabbed her arm lightly as he guided her in a different direction. “It’s this way. We should hurry; apparently Ben here saw a few more human troops, which I still can’t smell-“ he rubbed his nose with frustration, “and we’re pretty far from the village.”

Lilith nodded understanding Eric’s frustration. It must piss Eric off not being able to pin point their location. She will admit the forest was overwhelming, beautiful but still a lot to take in. She’s sure his nose and hearing will get use to their new surroundings later on. She replaced her arm with her hand in his grip and they started jogging in the direction the hawk had pointed out. Lilith’s feet already hurt from before and she was starting to feel the weakness she had felt before. Of course she hadn't eaten in a week, she ‘accidentally’ stabbed the head scientist in the shoulder the last time they tried to experiment on her. The damn woman was so pissed at Lilith she ordered the guards that Lilith couldn't eat for two weeks, she needed her weaker for the next time they tried to experiment.

“Geez I really wish I knew how to use my teleportation that would have come in handy many times before” Lilith grumbled more to herself then to Eric. It pissed her off that she didn't know how to use some of her abilities. She knew they were there she just didn't know how to reach them. Using what little energy she had left Lilith summoned a dead black bear back to its body to keep an eye out for them as they ran. Animal reanimation was easier than human.

Lilith and Eric jogged and ran for a good two hours until Lilith couldn't take it anymore.

Eric I need to stop....” she wheezed, her breathing harsh as she slipped her hand from his and plopped down on the ground, lying on her back. The green grass was cool against her pale skin, soothing her heated body as Lilith tried to catch her breath. She knew they weren't being followed anymore as she mentally looked though the black bear’s eyes. The guards and scientists had lost track of Lilith and Eric ever since they entered the mountainous regions. Those bastards really made it hard for anyone to find this place, it was surrounded by dense forests and large mountains.

“We aren’t being followed so let’s take a break please, I’m a Reaper and unlike you I’m not gifted with incredible stamina, speed or strength and I am pooped” she groaned, already feeling the ache of her muscles and bones her body burning for the unfamiliar distance and terrain. She needed to sleep and eat to regain her strength so if they were to run into anything or anyone she could fight her own battles.

You wouldn’t happen to want to go find me something to eat would you? I don’t care what it is but I haven’t eaten in a week so I’ll eat anything. Please Eric?” Lilith pleaded. If it wasn't for the fact that she was using the rest of her strength to stay awake and keep control of her look out bear then Lilith would have taken control of a dead predator to do her hunting for her. But she didn’t have the strength to control another animal. She felt bad because she usually fended for herself and she didn't want to seem like she was taking advantage of her best friend. But at the moment she seriously felt like she couldn't move, her body. It frustrated Lilith that she felt so weak. Closing her eyes Lilith looked through the eyes of the black bear, deciding to see if she could maybe find the other's. Lilith took control and moved forward in the bears body, the strong scent of flames coursed through the area. That peaked her interest and Lilith commanded the bear move towards it. It did as she willed and the bear now stood in front of a wall of fire. Joshua. The bear shook its head and looked down at the chard bodies. Lilith commanded the bear forward and it walked through the wall, patches of course fur burning instantly, relieving flesh that started to char. It didn't matter though for as long as she controlled it the bear would move forward. Once it crossed through the fire Lilith saw through the bear's eyes the sight of Lotus and Joshua. She got the bear to cross the water and now stood in front of the pair. The bear let out a growl, signalling its presences to the Lotus and Joshua.

He stopped and sighed, looking down at the worn out Reaper on the ground. Eric knew that, if he didn’t get her something to eat, Lilith would refuse to budge from where they were at, and would moan the whole way as he piggybacked her to the village. Though, from the looks of it, there was a high possibility that even if Eric got Lilith something to eat, he would still have to piggyback her to the village they had set off towards. Looking at his hawk, he nodded and the bird immediately shot up and started circling before suddenly shooting off in another direction.

“We aren’t being followed so let’s take a break please, I’m a Reaper and unlike you I’m not gifted with incredible stamina, speed and strength and I am pooped.” Eric laughed as Lilith grumbled from the ground as he walked forward and sat down on the ground beside her. “Don’t worry, Lilith, I’ve already send my hawk off to find you some food. Anyways, I could just carry you around the place, if you don’t mind.” He shrugged and flexed his right arm, jokingly, as he chuckled lightly. His expression turned serious as he turned to look up at the sky and then back down again.

“I’ll go and get something for you as soon as Ben sees something, okay? But will you be safe by yourself?” He felt a large amount of concern for the slightly younger lady, his one and only best friend. Though he knew that she was strong, and though it was currently the night during which their powers should be at their strongest, she was weak from her lack of food. Eric sighed and stood up straight as he rubbed his nose again for the millionth time as he started to figure out the different scents, the tingling receding as he took deep breaths and looked around, his eyes turning into a light amber as he looked around them, listening and spying for anything Lilith could eat.

Suddenly, his hawk landed on his shoulder and pecked him on top of his head. He winced and looked at the hawk, “Found something?” The hawk let out a high-pitched screech as it stated that it had caught sight of a doe, not to far away from where they were at, that was grazing in a meadow not too far away. Eric nodded and looked at Lilith, “I will keep Ben with you, he will come and find me if something happens. Hide, stay safe. I’ll be back soon.” He gently placed Ben on Lilith’s shoulder, making sure that the hawk didn’t harm the girl with his talons as Eric examined the two one last time.

Nodding to himself, reassured that they would be safe, Eric started running towards the direction the hawk had told him about. After Lilith was out of sight, he let out a hawk-like shriek and shapeshifted, as his arms bent and turned into wings, feathers sprouting all over his body, his legs turning into talons. Eric struggled into the air- he looked just like a hawk, albeit a little bit big for one, and fully black in color- and managed to coincide with an air stream, and sped along in the sky. By God, does this feel glorious. Eric chuckled in his mind as he kept his head down, his hawk eyes perceiving everything that went on in the forest bed. He noticed the meadow that Ben was talking about, but no doe in sight. He cursed and flew on, but worry grew in his heart. I should not drag this on for too long.

Eric picked up his speed, flapping his wings more frequently as he sped over the forest, but thankfully, only after a short while, he noticed the doe. Thank goodness. Eric positioned himself over the doe as he suddenly transformed back to his human state, but with the claws and fangs of a predator. He was finished with the doe in a few mere seconds. Wiping away the blood from his chin, he grabbed the doe, placed it around his shoulders, and ran as fast as he could back to Lilith, worry once again etched in every feature on his face.

By the time he made it back to Lilith, it had already been around an hour. He stumbled through the foliage as he ran back to where he had left her. "Lilith! Ben!"

"Hey!" Josh protested, his anger swiftly returning as Lotus clipped him around the head. He was sore enough without her adding to it, and without him, she'd probably be lying in a ditch somewhere dead or dying. He was just about to turn around and push her back into the stream when he shivered and groaned softly. He felt like hell. Literally, the definition of hell. Instead of retaliating, he just sent her a cold look that said simply 'I could kill you'.

Joshua almost missed his cell. There, at least, it was warm and relatively safe. He knew what was coming and happening, and most of all...he wasn't wet. "Fuck this," He muttered softly before hauling himself to his feet. He staggered a little and found himself leaning against a tree for support for a moment before he lifted his hands to his soaking shirt and threw it off. The clothing was only making him colder, and at least this way when he was dry...he would stay dry. As soon as that happened, he knew he'd warm up.

"There has got to be people around here...that aren't trying to kill us."

"Well, you're going to have to stay away from me then," Josh muttered, his head still ringing from the blow she had sent to his head. He sighed, exhaling slowly and shook his head, "Look...if we follow the stream downstream, we might come to a town or something..."

That was when the bear arrived, it's fur singed and burnt from its' journey through the wall of fire that was only just starting to die out. It seemed to materialize out of the air, tall and shaggy, and silent and Joshua froze. This was it. They'd evaded the guards, only to be consumed by a bear. The irony would have been amusing if he had enough energy to appreciate it. Joshua had no more defences, and was just about to shout to Lotus to run when he realized that all the beast was doing was...well, watching him. Joshua blinked, frowned, and then looked back at the creature, and a glimmer in it's beady black eyes was almost familiar.

"Lilith!" His voice was just a hoarse croak, and Josh coughed softly before calling to Lotus, "It's Lilith. She's not far, I think...Go on then, bear," He added awkwardly, "Take us to her"

Lotus grumbled as Joshua yelled at her. At the moment, she couldn't care less. She was trying to get her point across. Lotus hated when people were over protective but she knew he was just looking out for her. If it wasn't for is quick thinking they would have been back at the Heart House getting the punishment of their lives. Lotus sighed rested her head on the tree letting the water from her clothes and skin onto the ground. This sucked.

"Fuck this," Lotus turned her head slightly to see Joshua taking off his drenched shirt showing his chiseled chest. She averted her gaze and sighed again. Lotus wished she could just take off her clothes without a care in the world but like any woman that would be very flipping embarrassing. Lotus lifted her hands to her hair and tied it with rubber and she had on her wrist. She had just noticed it not to long ago but never got the time to use it.

"Well, you're going to have to stay away from me then," Lotus rolled her eyes and groaned softly running her hand over her face. 'So childish, he's still on that.' Of course she knew she had a good arm and could hit well it couldn't still be hurting. It was just a slight smack on the back of the head. No harm done. "Look...if we follow the stream downstream, we might come to a town or something..." Lotus looked down the stream in hopes of seeing a village of some sort. A roar pulled her attention away from the stream to a burned up bear.

Lotus tilted her head slightly in confusion and shock. The bear just looked at them not worried that's it skin was still slightly sizzling from the fire.Lotus backed up a little from the bear not sure to fear it and run or just watch it. She was an animal lover herself but this is a whole new level. "Lilith!" Lotus took a side glance at Joshua who had just yelled out a another cell mates name. "It's Lilith. She's not far, I think...Go on then, bear," Lotus almost laughed at his awkwardness. She was just like that in a way but instead of talking she doesn't. "Take us to her" Lotus walked up to the bear and grabbed a hold of the fur that wasn't bloody.

"I'm ready to get out of here...now."

The bear grunted at the pair's demanding tone and started walking. It would take them a few hour's to reach Lilith and Eric. But even so it started making its way Joshua and Lotus following behind the giant decaying creature.

Lilith's blue eyes flickered open and she glanced over at the hawk on her shoulder.

"Well hello there little guy" she cooed at the bird as she slowly sat up, careful so not to knock the hawk off. She glanced around and wondered how long Eric had been gone, she had heard everything he said and had stayed hidden. Then she heard the sound of leaves crunching and the sound of Eric's worried voice calling to her and the hawk. Lilith just smiled fondly as she saw Eric enter the small clearing. She felt a like better, having zoned out in the bear's head it felt like she had slept somewhat even though she was wide awake.

"Ben? Is that your name?" Lilith asked the hawk making it chirp.

"You know if you were dead I could understand you....well not understand but I could read your thoughts, but sadly talking to cute animals like you is Eric's department" Lilith spoke casually with the bird, whom made small noise's in response. Then Lilith's eyes focused on Eric again, whom looked worried as usual. She just smiled and slowly rose to her feet, happy to see Eric got back well and that he hadn't come back empty handed.

"Your such a worry wart you know that right?" Lilith giggled as she slowly walked over to Eric. Her legs wobbled slightly and her muscles groaned in protest but Lilith ignored it. Eric was already worried and she would feel even worse if she worried him more. Lilith's eyes then fixated on the doe as she neared.

"Put her down and lets crack her open I'm hungry as hell, those stupid bastards wouldn't let me eat cause I...may have stabbed the head scientists in the shoulder" Lilith grinned widely happy with herself that she had dealt some sort of damage on the bitch of a woman before Lilith had left. Just then Lilith's stomach growled and the sound echoed in the tree's, frightening the hawk on her shoulder. It fluttered off her and landed back on Eric, making Lilith laugh.

"Sorry little guy" she giggled.

"Oh and guess what I have good news, I found Joshua and Lotus and are escorting them here to us as we speak, hopefully Isaac and Fay will find us on their own......actually lets just pray they survive each other company" Lilith smiled. She was pretty damn sure this was the most smiling and laughing she has ever done in her life. Ever since she came to the Heart House her life has been hell, the only upside to the place was that she met Eric.

"Alright lets eat, I'll take a large piece of flank and the heart please" Lilith ordered playfully and licked her lips in hunger, her stomach rumbling loudly once again.

Eric chuckled back at Lilith, glad that she looked fine though rather hungry- especially at the sight of the doe that was draped around his shoulder. Thank God nothing happened while I was gone. He cast a wary eye around them, making sure that no humans were near as he took a few steps forward towards Lilith. “Put her down and lets crack her open I’m hungry as hel, those stupid bastards wouldn’t let me eat cause I…may have stabbed the head scientists in the shoulder.”

Unable to bear it Eric exclaimed, “You what!?” and started roaring with laughter when Ben flew away from Lilith frightened by the sound of her stomach rumbling with hunger. Wiping tears away from his eyes, his stomach aching from laughing to much, he placed the doe on the ground and ruffled the hawk’s head feathers, grinning at Lilith as she apologized to Ben as if he could understand. However, Eric’s smile immediately slipped off the moment Lilith mentioned Joshua and Lotus, reminding him that they were not outside on a picnic…but rather, running away from life-long imprisonment.

“The vampire and Fay will survive; actually, I’d rather hope that the vampire doesn’t make it over. Since young he’s constantly tried to find ways to displease me just based on the differences our species are ‘supposed’ to have.” He shook his head as he threw the doe down from his shoulder and onto the ground, rolling his sleeves up as he judged the doe that he had caught earlier by the meadow. Fine, lean, should make a pretty good feast. “I’m just saying I’m not ruddy going to try and find the fellow, he’ll have to survive on his own, eh?”

He continued to grumble as he made the nails on his hands turn into claws, and knelt down beside the doe. I’m sorry. Eric thought as he suddenly lunged his hand towards the chest of the doe, pulling off a long strand of flesh that was connected between the ribs and the hip of the animal. Eric’s eyes narrowed as he felt the flesh heed to his strength, pulling off from the carcass as if it were connected to the bones that were now exposed in the air with nothing but thin strings. He attempted to pull off the fur on the piece of meat but shrugged and placed it aside. Licking a bit of meat off of the hand he had just used, he used his other to break the ribs of the doe as if they were twigs and grabbed the heart and gently pulled it out so as to not break it and placed it on the long strip of meat he had placed aside.

“Here,” he said, handing them to Lilith as he licked his lips, his teeth already canines and his eyes like that of a wolf already. Eric handed a piece of meat to Ben as well, as if to appease the hawk for what was about to happen. Without warning, Eric transformed, his body convulsing upon itself to reveal a dark pelted wolf. Snarling, Eric once again approached the carcass and dug in, pulling at the lean flesh as he lost most of his human decency to the animal inside of him. Growling with delight, he looked up from his feast and howled at the full moon, blood covering his muzzle and face. He loved the feeling of the blood dripping from his fur, and the taste of the doe-flesh was sweet in his mouth. Lilith. With no reason at all, Eric suddenly looked down to watch his reaper friend, an almost innocent-like look on his wolven face, as he sniffed, his nose twitching to aside as Eric let out a sneeze.

"Thanks" Lilith grabbed the pieces's of the doe Eric had ripped off for her. The heart of a creature always held such life and power, a highly valued feast to a Reaper, whom could grabbed hold of that energy and use it as their own. Instantly Lilith grabbed the heart and sunk her teeth into it and tried to pull a chunk off yet the tough meat wouldn't let go. Its not like I have fangs like someone.

Her blue eyes looked at the dark wolf that was Eric. Lucky. Is it strange that she was envious of any creature with fangs? That they could rip something apart easily with them and here she was, mouth glue to a bloody heart, crimson liquid trailing down her chin and adsorbing into the collar of her sweat shirt and no matter how she tried the damn meat wouldn't rip from her blunt teeth. Grumbling to herself Lilith summoned her scythe, altering its size so it was no bigger then a butter knife. She skillfully cut all her meat into squares, cut off the fur on the flank then popped a chink of heart meat into her mouth. The meat and blood was sweet on her tongue and she felt instantly better then she had before. The black hole in her stomach happy that she was finally eating. While eating Lilith glanced around the small area they were in, it was still night out and the area was almost pitch black. Looking down at the doe Lilith could still sense its soul within so with a flick of her wrist a brightly glowing yellowish sphere left the doe's body and floated over to Lilith. With some concentration Lilith was able to split the soul into three pieces and each floated over to where Lilith commanded it. The area they were in was now lighter then before letting Lilith, whom didn't have night vision like someone else, to see clearly around the area. She

"That better now I can see my food" Lilith said as she finished off her food, wiped her face and turned back to Eric, only to see him looking at her then moments later sneeze.

"That was so cute, is the poor puppy cold?" Lilith teased, smiling widely.

Josh nodded to Lotus, and sighed slowly as he stepped up to the other side of the bear. It stank of burning fur and cooked flesh, as well as the thick, raw scent that belonged to all predators. It was a sickly stench, and he couldn't bring himself to touch the animal. Instead, he just walked alongside it, and let his mind go where it will.

His steps took on a slow, repetitive rhythm that would have lulled him to sleep if he hadn't been so tense. He was damp, and after the first twenty minutes, he began to shiver as the last drops of water dripped down his back. Josh thought back to what it was like at the House. Sure, his life had been uncomfortable and at times, even torturous, but for the majority of the day...he was left to his own devices. He was fed, and looked after, and warm. Josh missed that aspect of life - the simplicity of it.

It wasn't long before the water from his chest dried, and he tucked his wet shirt into one of the belt loops of his jeans. But as soon as he was dry, he felt his powers kick back in with a speed that was an incredibly pleasant surprise. It felt like being kicked in the chest, but not so painful. It was almost as though he could feel himself resurrecting, except not so dramatic. His skin, which had previously been turned a shade of white that was next to deathly, began to take on colour again, and his eyes brightened to their usual piercing hue. Joshua felt himself go from a shivering cold to his usual fiery temperature. It was refreshing, and though it didn't erase his exhaustion, it certainly helped brighten his mood.

As he warmed, Joshua began to look about him with an increased alertness, attempting to think of ways to resolve some of the difficulties of the walk. The bear plodded tirelessly on between himself and Lotus, who he looked at properly for the first time since their accidental meeting. She looked as tired as he felt, and just as cold as he had previously been. Joshua sighed, but couldn't think of anything to say. Now that the immediate danger had passed, his natural awkwardness began to set in again. As he walked, Josh kicked a a sizeable stone along. Time passed, maybe another fifteen minute as he mused on their situation, and then a glance from the rock he was kicking to Lotus gave him an idea. He bent down and picked it up, and turned it over in the palm of his hand thoughtfully.

The stone wasn't at all remarkable. It was a dull grey, flecked with veins of brown that were hidden beneath a layer of dirt. Josh picked the dirt and debris from the smooth stone, and as he did, he willed the heat from his hands to pass into the stone. It was an aspect of his powers that he rarely used - heat manipulation. Josh knew he used fire a lot, but simple heat? Never. But it was the answer to Lotus' cold. As he warmed it up, he glanced at her and cleared his throat hesitantly.

"Take this. Careful, though...It's hot," Josh muttered as he passed her the stone, and then returned to his stoic silence.

It wasn't long before Joshua lost track of the passing of time, but dawn was just threatening when the sound of voices reached them, and Josh called out into the semi darkness, "Lilith...?"

Lotus wiped at her face again with her hand. The water from her hair was dripping down her face. On a hot day it would be encouraged but now in the cold air, she wished that Joshua never pushed her into the creek. She looked down at the bear with the patches of loss fur. Oh how she wished she had something warm at the moment. Lotus turned and looked at Joshua who was slowly drying up quicker than she expected. I guess that's just what it's like to be a Phoenix. Lotus wiped at her face once more but this time she grumbled.

They continued to walk towards Lilith with slow agonizing steps. Lotus could feel herself slowing down in pace as her body started to shut down. She gripped the fur harder and rubbed at her face again attempting to wake herself. They had to keep moving and Lotus would be damned if she let her body stop them from moving on. She shivered as the water slipped down her neck and onto her back. Lotus tightened her hand into fist pathetically keeping her hands warm and looked down at her feet as they continued to walk. How long has it been since they started walking in the same slow rhythm. An hour. It felt like forever. Another wipe to the face.

A cleared throat brought Lotus to her attention and she shifted her gaze to Joshua. "Take this. Careful, though...It's hot," Lotus looked at the stone that was residing in his palm. With slow shaky fingers she covered the stone with her own two hands and picked it up. True to his words it was hot...extremely hot. "Shit!" Lotus panicked and dropped the stone. She stopped her walking and looked at her ruby red hands. Curse her delicate skin. That was a close one though. A little too close.

Lotus looked around and after some search she found a big leaf and picked the stone up once again. The heat radiating off the stone was enough to get past the leafs cell barrier and onto her ice cold skin. She sighed in content and looked at Joshua. "Thanks." Lotus said and with that they continued on their way. It was a little while after when the sun was just peaking over the horizon when Josh spoke up again. "Lilith...?" Lotus listened closely and then she heard people. But she didn't know if they were the Trackers or her friends. It was now or never "Lilith you better be out there!" Lotus called. 'If that's not Lilith we're screwed.'

His ears twitching, Eric sneezed again due to the irritations in his nose. He could smell better now, though, and all his senses were working well and were back to normal. Thank God he thought as he sat down and licked his jaws and nose with his long tongue, the dim light Lilith created creating a dim glow on his dark pelt, making it shimmer in the darkness. Snorting, Eric got up and paced around Lilith as she slowly grabbed the small pieces of meat, eating them and chewing slowly as if they were eating an elaborate, high-class meal. His eyes constantly making sure that the two were safe and alone, but suddenly Eric heard something.

Snarling, he walked towards the edge of the small clearing that they were in, ignoring the still fresh carcass of the doe he had not finished eating. Eric’s ears flicked back and forth as he snarled, raising his upper lip over his long, sharp canines, drool dropping down from his mouth. In the dark, he cast a weary, cautionary eye at Lilith, though he knew that she was already recovered, and stopped still.

Raising his head, he sniffed the air cautiously, but he could not sense anything. Not yet. They were too far. This…are the humans still after us though we left them far behind? Eric started pacing again, his paws not making a sound on the ground as he walked around. Lilith is stronger now- we could most likely fight any humans if we try with no problem at all.

Shape-shifting back into his human form, Eric walked up to Lilith as he adjusted his messy clothes, a firm frown on his face. He clenched his fist as he whispered, “I hear voices- not too far. Can’t exactly pin point who it is but…they’re coming close.” He turned and sniffed the air once more, “We can take them on. There are but a few this time, with you and your new found strength, I’m sure that we’ll be able to survive another attack without much difficulty.” Staring down at his hands, he concentrated, his nails turning into sharp claws. “Here,” he smiled a tight smile and helped Lilith up and then bounded over to the doe carcass, tearing a few more pieces of meat off and stuffing them into his mouth as he quickly dug a hole in the ground and stuffed the dear inside it. Best not to leave a trail… Eric thought, as he quickly piled the dirt back on top of the deer.

But before he had finished, and was just about to turn around, he heard two extremely familiar voices. Eric’s brow furrowed with disbelief, mirrored with that within the voices he now heard. He knew they were a bit further away, but likewise they were close enough to sense Eric and Lilith’s presence. “Lilith…?” a male voice said, as a female voice echoed the same name. “If that’s not Lilith we’re screwed. A sigh of relief left Eric as he shook his head, laughing a bit as he called out, “Joshua, Lotus, don’t fear. It is Lilith and Eric, though,” he raised his head and sniffed the air, “What is that most infernal smell that you two have brought? I couldn’t recognize the two of you because your scents were hidden by the stench.” Eric scrunched up his nose as the smell wafted up his nose, his eyes watering as the smell was too horrible

"That would be my fault" Lilith replied right when the bear, followed by Joshua and Lotus, walked into the small clearing. The beast did smell foul, even to Lilith, burnt flesh and the bear itself had to be atleast a few weeks old as Lilith saw maggots wiggling around inside where a gaping hole be in its flank.

"Eww I sure did summon up a nasty critter for you to follow didn't I? Oh well, be gone with you beast I am in no need of you anymore, walk away then leave your body once I can't smell you" Lilith demanded and the bear did as told, walking away from the group and back into the tree's. A few minutes later Lilith felt its soul be released from its body.

"So we should start making our way to town I guess, but first Joshua and Lotus are you hurt in any physical way? I need to know so that I may heal you but if not then I believe we should get going" Lilith said sternly, sending the two a look that clearly said she would know if they were lying to her and if they were the consequences would be bad. Lilith then turned to Eric.

"Which way is town?" she questioned. Hopefully Issac and Fayette would be fine on their own and would meet them in the town. Lilith knew that they couldn't stay in the woods for long, they had to keep moving. Her plan was to hopefully buy plane tickets under false names but they first had to find a place to give them their paper's. Money was no problem at the moment but the longer they stayed here the more likely the scientists would make a plan and act on it while they sat here like ducks on a post or whatever that saying is. But neither way they had to get going.

“Joshua, Lotus, don’t fear. It is Lilith and Eric, though,” Lotus sagged her shoulders along with a breath of relief that escaped her lips. Thanks goodness. I don't think Lotus could take it even take another fight. She would just stick her hands out and let them tie it with whatever they brought. She was just that drained to give up just so easy. It's sad really. After everything that just happened in a couple of hours she would let it go. Pathetic.

“What is that most infernal smell that you two have brought? I couldn't recognize the two of you because your scents were hidden by the stench.” As Lotus and Joshua walked into view she saw Eric with a look of disgust etched on his face. Lotus darted her eyes to the carcass of the bear. Now that she was where she needed to be she could actually smell it and she almost vomited. No wonder Joshua didn't grab a hold of it.

Before Lotus could registered what was happening she slumped to the ground in exhaustion. Her body had finally giving out and she didn't feel like moving from that position. Lotus looked at the sky and let an sigh escape her lips. It was a mixture of relief and pain. I don't think she can move. "Eww I sure did summon up a nasty critter for you to follow didn't I? Oh well, be gone with you beast I am in no need of you anymore, walk away then leave your body once I can't smell you" Lotus turned her head slightly and watched the bear walk out the clearing. Lotus looked at the sky again and put her hands in her face. They were still red. She cursed silently under her breath. It would take a while to heal.

"So we should start making our way to town I guess, but first Joshua and Lotus are you hurt in any physical way? I need to know so that I may heal you but if not then I believe we should get going" Lotus grunted when Lilith said if they were physically hurt. Lotus sat up and put her back against a tree and wince at the sharp pain that radiated there. She didn't have to look to know that she was bleeding. It was probably there for a long time. Probably when she fell, wait, was shoved into the river. She rolled her shoulders adjusting to the burning sensation on her back. Had she mentioned she felt like hell?

"I'm hurt physically and it'd be fantastic if you helped me in that department." Lotus lifted her arm to show them just a sneak peak at how bad her and Joshua's body were. Her arm was crusted with dried blood and dirt from wounds resting several places on her skin. "It seems that you guys treated yourself to food. You're trying to rush us out when we haven't eaten yet. How selfish." Lotus said in mock hurt when half of it was true. What was their deal? Can't they relax too? Jeez, people these days.

Eric sat down on the ground, eyeing the two new comers. They smelled alright enough, now that the bear was gone, but he still couldn’t let his guard down. It was almost scary to think how much the humans knew about each of the supernaturals, and exactly how much information they had to duplicate the six escapees. Though Eric didn’t know if human technology had, per say, evolved to that extent, but he knew that the data was there. The experiments had been conducted and the data taken away from their very bodies. Unconsciously, Eric clenched his fist and sighed before lifting his face to join the conversation once more.

The stench from the bear permeated throughout the area the supernaturals sat. God. Bile rose in Eric’s throat not just from the overbearing stench of the bear, but also the sound of maggots forcibly crawling through the layers of dead flesh that coated the bear, knowing away at the now stale flesh. Flies buzzed through the air, occasionally landing on the bear, but also occasionally making their way to the supernaturals whom now stared at one another. Eric eyed the bear, disgust etched into every corner of his face, a hiss emiting from his unconsciously parted lips. Suddenly, abruptly dragging Eric’s attention from the corpse, Lotus crashed to the ground and sighed, unmoving as she watched the sky.

“Eww I sure did summon up a nasty critter for you to follow, didn’t I?” Eric laughed at Lilith’s statement. At least you don’t have enhanced senses. He thought, glancing at his best friend playfully, though not voicing his thoughts, as if Lilith could hear him telepathically. ”Oh well, be gone with you beast I am in no need of ou anymore, walk away then leave your body once I can’t smell you.” Eric watched the bear with narrow eyes and got up, his back slouched forward slightly as a growl came out of his mouth. Canines in place of his teeth, he followed the bear a few steps before stopping, Lilith’s voice bringing his attention back once more.

“So we should start making our way to town I guess, but first Joshua and Lotus are you hurt in any physical way? I need to know so that I may heal you but if not then I believe we should get going.” Eric turned and leaned against a tree, watching as Lotus sat up and placed her back against another tree. Now that the bear was gone- and thankfully there was a rather strong wind that day- the foul stench was gone. The clearing once more smelled of pines, crushed leaves, dirt and blood. Whom’s blood, Eric knew very well, as he had smelled it from time to time in the scientific facility they had just ran away from.

“I’m hurt physically and it’d be fantastic if you helped me in that department.” Eric sighed slightly, taking another sniff in the air to know that both Joshua and Lotus were losing large amounts of blood. “Lilith, this is your department. I’ll stand back.” He stated, crossing his arms across his chest. “It seems that you guys treated yourself to food. You’re trying to rush us out when we haven’t eaten yet. How selfish.” A slightly abashed look crossed Eric’s face as he bared his fangs at the witch who sat on the ground. Leaning away from the tree he had been standing against, Eric took a firm step towards Lotus as his fists clenched. “Selfish? Lilith was on the edge of collapsing.” Taking in a deep breath, Eric tried to calm himself down. He didn’t like others accusing him of anything, in terms of his personality, decisions, position, or actions. Casting a look at the semi-buried doe carcass, Eric shook his head. They wouldn’t eat that.

He turned away and raised his hand again, whistling a light tone. Within a second, Ben landed on his hand and looked at him with bright yellow eyes, expectant and ready to do whatever Eric told him to do. “I need more food, find me something that’ll fill the stomachs of these two over here.” He jerked his head in Lotus and Joshua’s direction though he constantly made eye contact with the hawk perched on his hand. With a high-pitched shriek, the hawk took off, his wings extended gracefully in the air as he flew away. Sighing, Eric watched the hawk fly away before grabbing a few twigs on the ground. Wet. He cursed and started pulling branches off of the trees around him. “I would suppose that the two of you would like your meat cooked rather than raw? I’ll make a fire, or could Joshua just burn the meat?"

"Really? Selfish? It I didn't eat already I wouldn't be able to heal you, it took alot of energy to send that bear to you so be a little grateful" Lilith snapped, not liking Lotus's tone. Taking a step back Lilith sat down on the ground and closed her eyes. They had far to many wounds to go it one by one so she would have to heal all their wounds at the same time.

She started to softly speak an ancient language, she had no clue what it was just that ever since she was young she could speak it easily. It took a few moments but soon Lilith started to glow a soft silver light. She could see the colors of everyone souls and the dark red parts that were injuries. Lotus had a glittering purple soul, Joshua a soul that look like fire and Eric had a soul that shifted color's between all the animals he could shift into. Lilith's focused on the purple and red soul's. Once she could not longer see the dark red spots Lilith opened her eyes to see Lotus and Joshua glowing the color of their soul's before the glow faded along with Lilith's.

"There your all healed" Lilith stated simply. She stood up and walked over to Eric.

"I replenished their energy enough to make it to town, so I believe they can wait so please call your hawk back and let us be on our way" Lilith said smiling at Eric as she grabbed her backpack from the ground.

"You both can gorge yourselves once we reach town its only a few hours away by foot" Lilith said, her voice holding finality for she didn't want to hear their protests.

"Shall we be off?" she questioned, waiting for everyone. In the back of her mind Lilith hoped they would meet up with Issac and Fayette in town. And that they haven't killed each other already.

The Scientist's

"Miss.Ustrina what are we going to do? They have escaped and you are disallowing us to search for them! WHY?!" Doctor Thomas Harper bellowing looking up at the dirty blond haired woman whom stood in front of the large group of scientist's. She was surrounded by guards, whom were heavily armed and glaring at the scientists.

"I assure you Mr.Harper we at the head have everything under control....." Melissa Ustrina began but was cut off by Thomas.

"But what about the gifts you gave them! They could destroy everything we have worked for, hunt us down and kill us all easily! What about the thing that resides within the girl......" Thomas shouted panicky but a sharp glare from Melissa and a revolver pointed at his head shut him up.

"Silence! How is it you came upon that information? Its highly classified" Melissa snapped, a deep scowl settling into her tanned feature's.

"I like to know what I'm working with" Thomas answered simply.

"Well hears some more classified information, those unique gifts are locked away far within each of those that have escaped and that thing that resides in the girl in sealed by her mother, it will not be getting out any time soon" Melissa stated matter of fact like.

"But what happens if 'it' does get loose?" Thomas questioned.

"Then we should all start praying, for it is certain death if 'it' is ever released" Melissa said, her voice wavering slightly in fear at the end.

"Release the Serpents!" Melissa ordered. The guards walked outside and opened the steel cages. Dark blurs shot out instantly and headed towards the forest.

Eric placed the branches in a nick on the ground, one that felt and smelled as dry as possible. Looking up, he watched as Lilith slowly started an incantation, her attention on Lotus and Joshua as she slowly healed the wounds that were all over their bodies. The smell of fresh blood was slowly stopped, ceasing as Lotus and Joshua’s wounds healed under Lilith’s influence. “There you’re all healed.” Eric raised an eyebrow at the reaper, shaking his head as worry filled him once more. He knew that it wasn’t an easy feat for her to heal people like that- even if she had just eaten. But he didn’t say anything; Lilith had the capabilities of making correct judgments herself. He returned his focus to the two new members of the group, sniffing the air to make sure that no open wounds had been left untouched. A grin formed on Eric's face as the sniff brought no hints of fresh blood- only stale, slowly oxidizing blood. The two also looked much more energized, though Eric didn't know if this translated to the two physically or not.

“I replenished their energy enough to make it to town, so I believe they can wait so please call your hawk back and let us be on our way.” To this, Eric was about to protest- he felt as if Lilith was trying to rush them too much. He cast a quick glance at the two on the ground as annoyance grew in his heart, Lilith's voice reverberating in his mind. His alpha instincts kicked in, protesting the commanding tone in the reaper's voice- but he swallowed his pride. They don’t look very well… Eric thought, looking at the figures on the ground, his eyebrows furrowed. But, well, if Lilith says so, I suppose...“Yes, of course." Eric said, "My nose feels much better- I can smell the village not too far away from here.” Turning in the direction of the village, Eric sniffed again, a contemplative look on his face as new smells of food, humans, and filth filled his nostrils. Human civilization had been so close yet so far to them this whole time. A tremor went through Eric's body before he forcibly calmed himself down again once more. “I believe it’ll take us about two hours or so to get there- and I’d suppose we should hurry. Who knows what those humans are planning.” His brows furrowing, Eric turned to look at Lilith and then at Lotus and Joshua.

A bit concerned, Eric reached a hand forwards to Lotus. “You need some help?” He asked, rather worried for the witch though Lilith had healed her. It had been a long night, after all. Even Eric felt a bit sore in his legs from running too fast. “I’ll help carry you, if needs be?” The offer lingered in the air as Eric’s head suddenly snapped up, a weird smell and noise now filling his senses. It was coming towards them fast but it didn’t sound or smell like anything Eric knew. A new scent…and it doesn’t smell like human. But it carried the defining smell of Heart House- a mixture of chlorine and chemicals, along with filth and something else Eric could not identify. “Lilith.” Eric muttered, not moving from where he was, his eyes glaring at the direction the noise was coming from. “It’s near.”

He didn't know why, but the smell- the incoming object- raised Eric's senses, alarm pounding in his heart. Without himself noticing, Eric had already shifted into a half-wolven state, his eyes dilating as his teeth sharpened, and his nails turned into claws. Casting a quick look at the others, Eric motioned quickly for them to stay back as he took a tentative step forward, a deep growl rumbling through his snarl.

Lilith knew she was being pushy and demanding. She also knew Eric hated to be bossed around, the Alpha blood in him made him a natural leader. But the uneasy feeling in Lilith stomach hadn't stopped since the humans had not followed them. She felt they were planning something she just didn't know what. She felt bad for the other's but surviving comes before comfort. Yet those thoughts didn't stop her from seeing the annoyance in Eric's eyes and feel a twinge of....jealousy? As she watched him with Lotus.

Lilith's attention was brought from her thoughts as she heard Eric speak to her. With what strength she had she summoned her scythe. The healing had taken alot of the energy she had stored up from the food, of course she wouldn't say anything to Eric. She had already been enough of a nuisance to him today. By now the thing nearing them grew louder, Lilith took a firm stance.

What she didn't expect was for the thing to instantly jump at her. It jumped on her, making them roll on the ground, Lilith hitting the forest floor hard a loud cracking noise and a whimper mixed with the sound of the creatures strange battle cry. Lilith didn't know how to describe the creature but words like 'putrid' 'rancid' and 'foul' instantly came to mind as its long teeth gashed away, aiming for Lilith's throat. The creature's heavy weight caused pain to erupt in Lilith's chest, do to some of her newly broken ribs. The pain and weak feeling from healing started to take into toll as black spots dotted Lilith's sight, her breathing becoming more ragged and shallow. Her hold on the beast flattered and it took its chance, the creatures long yellowish teeth clamping down on Lilith's shoulder. Strangely she didn't even feel the pain anymore. With one mighty heave Lilith was able to momentarily stun the creature by knocking the side of its head with a nearby rock. It released her shoulder and Lilith shoved the creature off her making it land on its back. Her breathing came easier now since she didn't have such a heavy weight on her but Lilith felt like she couldn't move. She tried, yet her limbs didn't listen to her and refused to move. She watched as the creature stood back up on its feet and snarled viciously. One thought flickered through her mind.

I really wish we would of left sooner.

Eric cursed as he moved as fast as he could towards the flash that went past his head quickly and straight onto Lilith who stood but a few steps behind him. He wasn’t fast enough- it slipped through his outstretched hands and landed on Lilith, forcing the two to crash onto the ground. Crunch. Eric stood with fear as he heard bones cracking underneath the large beast and knew that it definitely wasn’t the serpent-like thing that had been hurt- it was Lilith.

“Lilith!” Eric yelled, running forward just as she managed to kick off the monster. Standing between the two, Eric quickly spat back at the girl on the floor, “Are you okay? God- please tell me you’re okay and can still heal yourself.” But that was all Eric could say within the short time span. The serpent-looking monster had already recovered, shaking its large head to stare coldly at Eric. His hackles raised, Eric snarled at the figure in front of him, though dread filled his heart. This snake is massive… He thought, just as the snake lunged at him, its large foul mouth open as if to gulp Eric down.

He ducked down as quickly as possible, as if propelled downwards, his knees buckling quickly before straightening once more, shooting Eric straight at the snake. Grappling it, Eric tried to force it down against the floor as he took a good look at the body structure and build of the snake. It wasn’t like anything he’d seen before- or rather, nothing like he’d ever read before, either. This was something new and Eric wasn’t sure if he’d be able to shape-shift into the exact same creature as the one that he know held with all of his force to the ground. It buckled under him, hissing like mad, wriggling its slimy body, and trying to pull free of Eric’s strong hold. “Don’t you even-“ Eric cursed, pulling a hand up to throw a punch on one of the snake’s large white eyes. It landed with a squish, the snake screaming with pain as it managed to buck Eric off of it. Watching carefully, Eric backed away as the snake twisted on the ground, hissing with agony as it closed its eyes. He didn’t dare move or speak, and adrenaline pumped through his whole body.

That is, until he saw movement right behind the now calming down snake. Eric could not smell what it was- his nose was useless at the moment, with the presence of the monster- but from the noses it emitted, it was definitely another snake. Shooting a look at Lilith, Eric quickly motioned that a second one was coming. He stood still for a while longer, thinking hard before he finally motioned for her to decide on running or not. They’re too strong, and we’re not sure if Lotus and Joshua can fight. But he was ready if Lilith decided to stand and fight- he felt within his bodies his cells slowly adapting to the composition of those in the snakes in front of them. Their make up was gruesome, foul, and man-made. These were not products of nature, but rather of human hands and intellect. Eric’s upper lip curled with disgust as he once again hunched down, preparing for the second assault the snake was now planning, it’s eyes now once again opened and glaring at Eric with hatred.

“Come at me.” Eric lunged towards the monster, his claws flashing in the darkness of the night.

“Selfish? Lilith was on the edge of collapsing.” Lotus rolled her eyes and scoffed. "What happened, did she run to fast?" Lotus spat getting pissed off at them. She took a deep breath and ran a hand through her ever changing hair. You would think that when Joshua and her found more people they would be happy. But instead we get more problems. “I would suppose that the two of you would like your meat cooked rather than raw? I’ll make a fire, or could Joshua just burn the meat?" Lotus turned to Eric and out of the corner of her eye she saw some bird flying away. "Cooked...please. And it's up to Joshua whether if he want's to use his abilities. But when you do make the fire...warn me." Lotus said, the last part came with a shudder. So close to getting burned a live. Twice in a row.

"Really? Selfish? It I didn't eat already I wouldn't be able to heal you, it took alot of energy to send that bear to you so be a little grateful" Lotus groaned. They ere not going back to this selfish crap again. It's over, the deed is done and Lotus didn't want her emotions on high. God only knows what happened when she gets angry. That's when Lotus got this tingling sensation on her back and other places on her body. She narrowed her eyes and felt her wounds sewn themselves back up. Lotus glanced at Lilith and back at the ground. Looks like she was being healed after all. As her wounds healed, Lotus felt a lot better. A lot better. Like she was more energized than before. But make no mistake, she was still dead beat tired and sore. "There your all healed" Lotus nodded at Lilith done speaking for the moment. "You both can gorge yourselves once we reach town its only a few hours away by foot" Lotus narrowed her eyes a Lilith. Was she being demanding? Oh if that was the case sign Lotus out. She didn't come just so she can be bossed around. She might as well go back to the Heart House. "Shall we be off?" Lotus groaned and stood up. Might as well seeing as Lilith wasn't going to take no for an answer.

“I believe it’ll take us about two hours or so to get there- and I’d suppose we should hurry. Who knows what those humans are planning.” Lotus suppressed the urge to groan. She couldn't do more walking. Where was the bear when you needed it “You need some help?” Lotus looked at the outstretched hand and then back at it's owner Eric. She did this twice not believing what she was seeing. “I’ll help carry you, if needs be?” Lotus eye twitched a little and looked at his hand again. Just as she was about to open her mouth a chill went down her back. That's never a good sign. Lilith got herself prepared and so did Eric shifting in his wolf form. Lotus silently started chanting a spell in Latin her eye color getting brighter until it was white. Though she continued. The grass under them started to cut as it made a huge star that as wide as a house. If that made sense. It was a trapping spell and it's not going to be able to hold. Once the creature got in, it couldn't escape. The it came and Lotus smirked. Now it was a matter on getting everyone out.

It attacked Lilith first and it took a bite out of her shoulder. Lotus winced but kept chanting backing up slightly. She sat on the outskirt of the star and stopped her chant and went to a new one. On the ground there were shadows creeping a long the floor towards the enemies. The one that Eric got a down a Shadow wrapped it's body around it and it the black body let out a shriek in delight. She felt the presence of another one and Lotus stopped her chanting for a quick second to speak. "Eric, get that thing in the star!" Lotus yelled before chanting once again more shadows walking in to do whatever there master commands, which was Lotus of course.

Eric attacking the monster was the last thing Lilith saw before she passed out.

Image

“Lilith….” She heard a female voice call out. Darkness surrounded Lilith, suffocating her in its thick tendrils, she tried to breathe but found she couldn’t.

“Lilith…” the voice called out again this time it wasn’t as soft. The voice had taken on a dark edge and sounded oddly familiar.

“Open your eyes” it beckoned and Lilith felt the weight of the command, making her head throb as she tried to ignore the voice. It was impossible though and Lilith found herself unconsciously opening her eyes. What she saw shocked her.

“Hello Lilith” the woman said. The woman that looked like Lilith but the complete opposite almost. The woman was so pale her skin took on a greyish ting while her eyes were a blazing evil blood scarlet. She had long black hair and black tribal looking marks all over her skin. White chains were latched around her neck, wrists and ankles while she stood behind a giant cage door. It was far too big for her small size.

“Who are you?” Lilith asked, her voice shook in fear as she felt the raw dark power of the woman radiate off her like a thick fog.

“I was named Nyx by your mother” Nyx said coldly, her blood eyes piercing daggers at Lilith.

“My mom?” Lilith stuttered.

“Well our mom……but that is not why I called you down here, you are very weak at the moment and I am here to help you” Nyx sneered. Before Lilith had a chance to respond black chains shot from Nyx’s stomach and attached themselves to Lilith. She screamed in pain as she watched the same black markings cover her own body before everything faded away.

Image

Lilith’s eyes shot out, quickly taking in her surroundings, then in a fluid motion stood up. The weak feelings had completely faded and she felt energized, though she was still heavily injured blood gushing from her wound and down her body. Shit.

A movement from behind caught her eye as Lilith watched another creature appear from the bush. They didn’t stand a chance against these things in their weakened state and Lilith didn’t know how long this energy boost would last her.

Then she seemed to watch in slow motion as the second creature lunged at a busy Eric, whom was fighting off the other creature while Lotus’s shadows tried to hold it back. But the creature was too strong and broke free. A slight buzzing started in the back of Lilith’s mind as she watched the scene in horror, imagining that they were in town and not here at the moment. Then something happened. It felt like the area was instantly drained of oxygen and a thick darkness clouded around the group of runaways. Then in moments the feeling was gone and the dark cloud disappeared showing then in a different area now. Lilith shot around to see Issac, Fay and the small town. A gasp slipped past her as a wide small appeared on her face.

“I did it! My very first teleport!” Lilith said happily but was cut short as she fell to her knee’s as pain shot threw her body. She had forgotten about the huge bite mark on her shoulder. Looking over at her arm Lilith’s eyes were drawn to something new. A small black tribal mark on the underside of her wrist and she watched as it crawled slightly up her forearm before becoming still again. She shook her head thinking she had imagined it and looked up at the group. Lotus, Joshua and Eric stood in front of her and Lilith looked over at Issac and Fay.

“Hey Issac, Fay” she greeted.
