{Reliable, Organized, Controlled [yet hot-tempered], Patient, Hardworking, Worrier}
Erin likes to keep things orderly and put together- and that includes herself in many ways. As a child, she was the one who seemed to always clean up after the others because she disliked leaving behind a mess and the like. The girl has always been viewed as the responsible sort by her teachers, and as a direct result of this was given responsibilities like 'group leader' or 'library helper', things that only further imprinted onto her the importance of keeping it all together. All her life she's been taught to be responsible and reliable- in that sense of the words, she has come to be a rather consistent person, which can be both bad and good, really. The young woman has her own systems for doing things, and is capable of altering them to be most efficient, but she has a problem using new methods without looking into them first- unorthodox methods tend to throw her for at least a moment. She is very much a prepared sort of person, the type who will spend weeks researching before deciding on a product to buy- she likes to get the biggest bang for her efforts, and isn't concerned with how long it takes to do that.
Her organizational systems tend to be very precise, as well, and while her mind is likely the biggest example of her keeping things neat and orderly, for she is the sort to have a 'mind palace' system for recalling information, Erin is also likely to be externally organized as well. She's the one who, in normal schools, has the perfectly organized binder and an accordion file for studying, with her day planned out to the T. Planning and strategies are where she excels, because the girl has a mind for looking through all possibilities- it's that responsibility for her decisions again. People messing with her things is a huge pet peeve of the girl due to her systems, and is a surefire way to irritate the typically cool and collected girl.
Erin has mastered, at least on the surface, the art of keeping herself under control. Truthfully, the young woman has a bit of a hot-tempered side, but she's been steadily trying to smother it after being constantly scolded for it as a child. Her calm exterior is a result of a personal discipline which she is actually very proud of, because it does take some level of skill to keep one's self under control. She's certainly far from perfect as far as things go, but she is inching closer to being in control of her emotions rather than being controlled by them. This is good, for being overemotional can easily cloud one's judgement, and her judgement and preparation skills are some of her best assets, after all. While the witch is not necessarily deceitful in regards to her emotions, not faking feelings for the sake of manipulation, she does know how to alter her appearance -or the appearance of her feelings- in order to make herself, and perhaps others, feel more at ease. Feeling lost to her own emotions is something which Erin does not like one bit. That being said, keeping them under wraps can be very tiring, as well, and sometimes she feels the need to vent. Her control is hardly perfect, after all, and she's slipped more times than Erin would like to admit.
Like many other students of the Luna House, Erin is known to be a relatively patient person. This is part of the reason for planning and strategies being things that she is good at, and part of the reason for her success in general as a student. Many people, in their youth, are still on a brain pattern where they prefer to receive instant gratification over the greater rewards in the distance, which require more work and more patience. Erin has excellent foresight in this regard, and is thus able to restrain herself in order to reach her goals. The girl is willing to wait as long as she needs to, to work as hard as she needs to, in order to acquire that which she desires. Perhaps this is a mix of ambition and stubbornness, but it is certainly allowed to happen because of her patience. Her patience also means that she does surprisingly well in regard to tutoring people or dealing with those whom others might consider trying. She can tolerate them fairly well- or at least fake it fairly well, until her temper runs high and she finally can't put up with it any longer.
Most of the time, Erin works hard for what she receives. The witch believes that anything that happens to her is a result of her own actions and the reactions of the world- regardless of whether she approves of them. Luck is a fanciful concept [strange to say, considering that she attends a school where some of the teachers know how to bottle luck], in her eyes, and most things come from within. This is perhaps part of the reason that she is able to work well with Oriental magics, the source of which is often considered to be the energy within. Erin is an incredibly hard worker because she only expects to get what she gives, and lives by this standard for herself. If someone else can do something without complaining, than she should be able to- and one will rarely hear Erin complain about tasks which she has taken on herself. It seems childish to do so, in her eyes.
When it comes to school and the future, Erin tends to experience some anxieties that one might not expect from a Luna House student, given that the house is supposed to be synonymous with tranquility and the like. The girl is that friend in the group who is concerned that they won't be able to get into college if they don't have sterling grades, or who acts like a Low B or C on a test is going to end their future. She isn't over dramatic about it- at least not in front of other people, but coming from a family that put a huge amount of emphasis on performance and grades means that she doesn't take kindly to failing. She worries not only about her own grades, but about others- it's an almost mother hen instinct in her. She's been trying to relax more, honestly, and to find a better balance in her life when it comes to work and play, but it's still something she's working on.
Regardless of everything else, Erin does try her best in all she does. That much, if nothing else, she must be given credit for.
