"Oh, I would shoot you if it weren't such an uncivilized response."
Claire typically thinks she is right and is very stubborn to prove it. Simply put, she's a right-fighter and she's not afraid to fight you. She is very skeptical and often a good judge of character and therefore can be very persuasive (and quite manipulative too). It amuses her greatly to test people secretly: she will carefully say something a certain way and wait for your reaction and try to predict it and analyze it. For those that she holds dear, Claire will go to great lengths to protect them and keep them safe. Her sense of humor is rather devious and mischievous. With friends she is motherly and doting. She has a hearty, loud laugh.
She has a rifle that she has had most her life; she is very familiar with and takes great care of it, but prefers not to use it. Claire also has two daggers that she usually hides on her person.
Claire came from a family with a decent amount of "old money" from her mother's side and a steady income from her father who works with airship technology. She has two older brothers that would teach her "boy stuff"---how to use a gun, how to clean it, how to sharpen a knife, how to do this and that. As a young girl she enjoyed it immensely and would often tag around with them. After her mother found her climbing one tree too many, Claire was sent to a school for young ladies to sharpen her etiquette.
She learned how to be a lady well, and particularly enjoyed the art classes she took there. During the breaks when she was at home, Claire would often abandon the lady-like qualities she had been taught except for drawing and would then pick up being a lady again when she returned to the school. The school did take away a part of her that wanted to continue playing with her brothers. When at home she often spends her time wandering around in the gardens or going to the shops in town to admire the gentlemen.
