Fiona blinked a few times; she was hesitant on doing anything with him. Just because he said he was working for the NYPD doesn't mean she had to totally trust him. She followed him anyways though, she kept her eyes on the ground tempted to ask him if he knew anything about what had just happened. It wasn’t like he would know anything or maybe she did. The one thing that she did know was that she was way over thinking this. You couldn't really blame her though, some dude had broken into her house, she was chased, and then the man who was chasing her had suddenly stopped as soon as she ran into his cop. Thank god she had run into this cop or who knows what would have happened to her. She didn't know that man who was chasing her so she didn't know what he was capable of. For now she would have to trust her guts and go with this guy. She had to trust him for now, but she was sure that if she noticed anything suspicious with this guy that she would run off and not trust anyone. At the moment he probably thought she was some kind of crazy girl who was freaking out for no reason.

The girl didn't even nod she just followed close to him to the diner that he had brought up. She wouldn't have really mind explaining everything that had happened if it didn't have to do with the fact that she was sure it was some kind of demon that she saw. He wouldn't understand, would he? She just suspected that he was like the rest of the people when she said she saw something she couldn't explain and told someone about it that they would call her crazy or stupid or just some kind of mean name. She couldn't help it, she never believed what she saw, and now it was becoming unbearable. She didn't know what to do anymore; especially now. The entire walk to the diner she stayed quite unless he where to ask her any questions then she would answer him.

The walk itself was a bit awkward as Fiona really had the "Speak when spoken to" thing going on. Considering he'd lived out about thirty or forty life times in a realm of the greatest minds and free thinkers, it wasn't exactly something he was prepared for. Especially since he was on edge the entire time he was walking with her, watching everywhere as subtlety as possible. Eventually they made it to the diner and sat in a booth in the back. The place had only just opened up so it was no surprise that the only other patrons were a few elderly men getting coffee and reading the paper. The vinyl seats squeaked quietly as the pair sat down across from each other at the table. Finally, Hal spoke up. "It's pretty natural for people not to want to talk about break ins and such," He said as the waitress slid a steaming mug of black coffee in front of him. "but if you want to break that tradition, I'm all ears." He said as he lifted the ceramic cylinder to his lips.

For once Fiona didn't want coffee, she didn't want to talk, and she honestly didn't want to do anything. She closed her eyes for a moment before taking in a deep breath. She opened her eyes and finally looked at him; she shifted uncomfortably in her chair. "It is just like any other break in. Except he crashed through my living room window, and fell onto my living room floor," She said finally, and ran a hand through her hair. "It is really hard to explain without you thinking I am crazy. What I saw in there was something no one would believe if I told them." She leaned back in her seat with her arms crossed over her chest. She looked down at her lap, and frowned. She wasn't like one of those people who just acted as if everything was alright because right now nothing was alright. She didn't know what was going on and she didn't think anyone could really explain to her what's going on.
