"Oh, this is fun. We both look like Cheshire cats... two threes." I laughed slightly. Will didn't seem to be lying... but then, she also could be. Maybe she's a cheat master, or something, and has the best lying face ever.
Ms. DiAngelo
"That's why we suggest it." I smile. "As for why we do these trips... well, it gives students different environments to test their skills, first of all. And second, it's just nice changes and helps expand student's views. Call it creative learning, if you will." Lucky she'd answered this question so many different times.

"True," Jacob agreed, he knew it was easier than arguing for a hunch, "Isn't it twice as hard to keep track of every one? I mean, the people who get into to trouble here would be even worse in an open area, right?"

Devon prayed this would only take a few hours any longer than that and his army would explode into nothingness and leaving riku who wasnt trained well enough to fight against it and he wouldnt have the energy to even fight

But how were they going to do that? Devon didn't seem to be holding up too well either, and Riku himself didn't know how to fight. Especially not something like this.

"I love him... but he's a bit scary and creepyish. Wait... didn't I just say two threes?" I asked, staring at Will with an accusing face. "Cheat!" I said dramatically, flipping the cards.
Ms. DiAngelo
I grinned wickedly. "Of course, they would be. But the problem is that we use certain devices to limit the extents of their powers, so they aren't capable of powerful damage. Other than that, we have our ways."
I shrugged apologetically. "I'd tell you, but then people would start finding ways around it..."

"You’re up, then."

"Absolutely," Jacob replied, of course he already saw a way numerous people could still do sufficient damage even with power restraint. Still, he wouldn't say anything, it's not like he directly knew any of the kids that would go to violence. Besides, he'd only thought of those things because he had experience with Will outside school, she was probably the only other person who'd see it like that and he could keep her from doing anything too insane. Most of the time.
“The Alps sound fun,” he replied after a while

I stuck my tongue out back. Then I grinned maddeningly. "Why should I? I have a shirt with the exact same color of its stripes as the Cheshire cat, did you know?" I laughed at Will's accusatory tone, at odds with her smile.
"Well, I'll continue the pattern. Three fours." I threw the cards down.
Ms. DiAngelo
"I hope so... sometimes people don't agree with one another very well. All those fashion queens will sit in the lodge sipping cocoa and showing off their clothes..." I made a face.

"Two fives," she offered, waiting for Alex to move the cards.

Jacob laughed, not because he thought those girls were funny, but because, in that situation, there was no way they would get to calmly sit around the cabin. Still, Will's last roommate wouldn't be there, having quit the school after the incident, and she had been one of the worst. Of course he'd yet to meet the new ones, and suddenly he was struck by the thought that Willow may make a goal of getting rid of one of them each year. Oh God, that would be bad, but he couldn't stop himself laughing. He should probably be more serious around Dia, she was a teacher after all.
"Sorry," He gasped out, focusing on his breathing to try to calm himself.
