Julia led Karyudo to the ending of a stream. It formed a nice pond, a patch of light managed to shine right on the center of the pond making the pool shine a beautiful blue. He was mesmerized by it for a while until he realized
My knife! he began to pat himself down until figuring that he had dropped it. He did this again on account of the stick he had lost.
And there goes my bow. Karyudo didnt feel as bad in loosing these two items since he knew that even with those materials he wouldn't have been able to face down that creature like Julia did.
âHey that was awesomeâŠâ Julia didnât respond, she seemed to be looking at something else across the way. Karyudo walked up towards Julia.
âWhacha you lookinâŠohhhâOver on the other side of the pond were two indistinguishable bodies. From the distance you could only tell that whatever the creature was, it was quadrapedal. You could also tell that one of the creatures skull had been cracked open. This sight sent shivers down Karyudoâs Spine
It wasnât enough that Julia had to put that Raven Unconscious but now she has to deal with the sight of the bloody mess on the other side of the pond. At first she was disgusted, and then she was intrigued in a way â
There is no creature that would skin another?â She walked up to the bodies to get a closer look. The stench was unbearable.
I have to hurry up, this is bound to attract predators soon Julia recognized the carcasses as something more along the lines of a canine class predator. One of the skulls seemed to be cracked open by means of tooth or claw so at first Julia thought that maybe and animal came after a human had killed one at scavenged its brains. Or maybe a human came along and skinned a brainless predator.
This thought was thrown out the window the minute she saw the second skull. This one seemed to be more cleanly cut open. No animal could have done anything like this.
Why would a human cut out the brain of this poor creature. She looked back up at Karyudo
âWe have to go, these bodies will attract more predatorsâThey began to tread back into the forest
