Lit Match's Story

Lit Match paced around her chamber for the hundredth time. She had grown up in the facility for her whole life as part of an experiment called Candle. She had always grown up kind of normally, with the exception of being in a public school and having parents. Lit had just turned 14 the other day and her first injection for the experiment was today. She really didn't want to but did she even have a choice? The whole place was surrounded by guards and traps... Doctor Dane Smitt rapped on her door as she finished her 137th lap around the room.
Lit hurriedly looked around the room for a place to hide. I'm not going to be able to avoid this... might as well give it a try! She opened the door and tried to sprint past the Doctor only to be stopped in her tracks with a loud OOF as she had the breath knocked out of her by the Doctor as he put out his fist.
Lit rubbed her head. Ow... She was in Dr. Dane's lab, laying on his injection chair. She felt different.
"Ugh, great..." She said this beneath her breath as she struggled against the straps on the chair. A wave of nausea over came her and she laid back down.

"Oh and did I mention you might feel a little bit nausous." he said as he turned off the straps and smirked.

Lit grumbled and thought about why it had to be her. It was so upsetting how everyone else got to have a at least semi-normal life, but she had to be a stupid lab rat.
