Saylee Tandy

"I'm not too young to express myself."

0 · 249 views · located in Nyukami City

a character in “Expressing Yourself”, as played by Grumpy-Converse

Description

Image
Name: Saylee Tandy

Age: 13 years

Gender: Female

Description: Saylee has either extremely light brown hair or dark blonde hair - it's hard to be certain. It is very long, but she always ties it up, mostly into two piggytails. Her eyes, unusual as it is, are a light brown in light, and a deep purple in the dark. Thy shine when she is happy, like the rays of the sun. She stands at 4'10, and weighs approximately 60lbs. She is very slim, and anorexic - last year she started to become bulimic, throwing up after she ate anything.

From her child like appearance, which includes her lare eyes, her pointed chin and her smile with dimples, Saylee is istaken for someone younger quite a bit. The ponly indication she isn't ten is her height. It's not like she minds looking so innocent, she can often use it for her advantage. Who would suspect a sweet little girl with rosy cheeks? Exactly. And speaking of skin colour, Saylee's is fair skinned - as white as snow, you might say. She has a tendancy to burn inthe sun, mostly on her shoulders and back of the neck.
See Image: Ignore Rabbit Ears.

Interests:
~ Photography
~ Singing; Her Voice
~ Songwriting
~ Guitar

Citizen: Saylee secretly plays her music in her room, and takes pictures out her window.

Personality: Being only thirteen, Saylee is often underestimated, looked down on as a child who knows nothing. But trust, Saylee knows what you know - and more. And I amn't just talking school work - I'm talking dirty stuff as well. Saylee is probably the most dirty-minded person you have ever et, and knows how to make almost anything sound wrong. Overall, Saylee is a sweet and kind person, to those she likes and trusts. You would be surprsied, with her innocent face, that the work of the devil lives underneath it. Not that she is mean, exactly - more cunning. From here evil revenge pranks to her bribes and blackmails, this girl is certainly not what she appears to be. Not to ention how stubborn she is. Give up? Heck no!

Surprisingly enough, the thing that Saylee uses to get what she wants is usually her laugh. With her cute voice - which is unfortunately not legal to use in song - and baby cute looks, Saylee oten can get what she wants, but just incase, she pulls out her secret weapon; yes, her laugh. She has one of those high pitched giggles that the pretty little five year olds have, which is strange, considering her singing voice. But yes, Saylee definitely knows how to get what she wants, and is not afraid to do anything for it.

Saylee is, like most teenage girls, a victim to peer pressure. With her dressing table covered in make-up and anorexia, Saylee is defiitely trying her hardest to be considerd popular. I wonder how the girls would like her if they figured out about her hobbies?

Where your character lives: Saylee lives in an apartment with her older brother, mother and younger brother. This is defiitely a problem for her, as she has to be careful not to make too much noise when singing, to make sure that no one can here her.

"If I die young, bury me in satin, lay me down on a bed of roses, sink me in the river, at dawn, send me away with the words of a love song ~" Saylee sang softly, strumming the acoustic guitar delicately. She sat at a lake just a few minutes from her apartment, her feet hanging over the edge as the tips of her trainers skimmed the water's surface. The ripples they made in the water gave her face the appearance of being disorted.

This was Saylee's favourite spot in the whole of Nyukami City - away from all the hustle and bustle, where no one bothered to venture, and so it was the perfect spot for her to play her music. She had been coming here for years, her and her family, as they used to always go on picnic's under the big oak tree, and in the Fall they would make leaf piles to jump into. That changed after her father died, of course. Her family didn't touch this spot for weeks, but Saylee finally managed the nerve to come back, knowing it was the most private place she could find. But no one else would come after her.

It was also a good place for her photography. Saylee had always loved pictures, even as a child, especially old fashioned ones. She had of course never seen the black and white and sepia photographs, but the thought of them had always intrigued her. Which was why she sat by the lake, guitar in hand and old-fashioned camera strewn out beside her, a plate full of assorted foods beside her.

She grabbed her sandwich, taking a bite of the ham filling before packing up her stuff. She brought a giant bag with her anywhere to fit her guitar, in a secret pouch at the bottom. She had never been caught before, but she had heard of people being asked to searrch their bags. Better safe than sorry.

Saylee hopped up as the sun set over the lake, giving the lake a pink colour and the sky a majestic glow. The candy cotton clouds let the last of the sun's rays seep through before it slept for the night, and Saylee couldn't help but take a snapshot. It was too beautiful not to.

She started on her way home, taking a long route around as she was in no hurry. She hadn't actually taken this route before, all she knew was that is passed the cafe her mother loved to visit and the old abandoned art school. Mother actually said she enjoyed the cafe because it took a while for the food to be ready. She said when she was a child, it took quite a while for food to be prepared, and she hated all the changes in the world.

Saylee was just passing the aforementioned art school when a beautiful song hit her ears, the sound of a female voice. She satrted singing along instantly, out of habit, before realizing what she had done. She slammed her mouth shut in an instant, biting her tongue in the process. She squinted her eyes to stop the tears that threatened to spill. But where was that voice coming from?

"-lo"
Saylee froze. Definitely male, and definitely coming from the school. She cautiously approached it, peering over one of the windows, which had a crack running through it. The girl was stuttering in surprise. "I would be, too," Saylee thought. "If I had been caught singing." "I'm Fauna," the girl finally lets out, her fear and nervousness, yet something that sounded almost like hope noticable in her voice.

Saylee stood up, though she probably wouldn't be noticed yet, even so, as she was quite small, being only thirteen. She might as well show herself. What had she got to lose. A whole damn lot, she thought to herself, as she entered the building. "Um, hi," Saylee said, a shy smile forming across her lips, showing her dimples.

Her eyes widened in curiosity at the paper in the boy's hands. She had never been good around strangers, but what if they were like her? It would make sense, the 'rebels' as Saylee liked to call them meeting up in secluded building. It would also explain why the girl was singing. Meet, Saylee thought, mentally laughing. Meet was Irish slang for shift, which was again Irish slang for something along the lines of a 'french kiss.' Old words, of course. But Saylee was a curious grl, and knew more abiut History than her teacher did.

Saylee stood their awkwardly for a moment as everyone conversed around her. "-I know a room full of instruments," she heard the girl who had introduced herself as Fauna say. Saylee's eyes lit up. Instruments? A whole room full of them, just waiting to be played.

"Oh, Hello..." Saylee glanced up at the girl who had said it. Fauna again. "Hi," Saylee said. "I'm Saylee. Saylee Tandy, actually. And I heard your singing, you wre really good." She dumped her bag on the floor, crouching down beside it as she ruffled through it. "And what was that room of instruments you were talking about? And good job to finding this place. I wouldn't have heard you if I hadn't decided to take a long route, and I don't know why the rest of these b*tches are here," she said it all casually, not meaning to be insulting at the word b*tch, it was almost like a habit.

She took out her guitar, lying it on the ground beside her, but not before showing it to Fauna. "I play guitar," she said matter-of-factly. She was vaguely aware of the fact she was babbling, but she didn't give a damn. "Ah, here we go..." she mumured as she tugged out what she was looking for.

"Snap!" Saylee squealed as she clicked the camera, the flash blinding her eyes but giving her a picture of Fauna as a result. "What do you think?" she asked, holding it up to show Fauna. She had purposely done it at an angle so the light wouldn't blind the caera, but it still illuminated Fauna's face. She knew that Fauna woldn't notice, though. You would only tell if you actually knew quite a bit about photography, which she doubted Fauna did. That was one of the things she loved about photography, they made it look so damn easy.

~Pan~

Pan artfully flicked her wrist, which held the can of red spray paint, causing a Maroon streak to appear under the tag, her pseudonym. Clio. The Greek mythological muse of History. Which was what she was doing. Making history, in her own small way. Pan smiled. Usually, her art would be washed off the buildings she used as canvases. However, it seems that she had hit the "jackpot", so to speak. An abandoned art school, which she had stumbled upon earlier. Perfect. Her art would last longer than usual. Standing back and gazing at the thorny black rose she'd manifested on the wall using the spray paint, Pan wistfully wondered just how long it would remain-

Voices. Both feminine and masculine. Her curiosity piqued, she replaced the spray paint cans back in her black messenger bag and slung it over her shoulder. After straightening her fedora, she hopped into the building through one of the broken windows. Her knee-high black boots crunched on broken glass as she strode out the door of that room and into the hallway. She turned to the left and made her way towards the voices. She could tell they were discussing instruments. Interesting. Fellow non-conformist "Lawbreakers". A small smile played across her lips as she slipped into the room, where three girls and one boy were conversing. Boy, did Pan stick out, with her strange getup. Oh well. Better unique than invisible.

"Evening, fellow deviants," she said cooly, leaning against one of the aged walls.

"Hello, fellow deviants," said a voice behind Avia. Avia jumped and turned. A girl with strange clothing on was leaning against the doorway.

'How many people knew about this place?' Avia wondered. She didn't acknowledge the girls presence. She just started playing her flute, waiting for Fauna to start singing from wherever she knew.

Avia started playing the tune to "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson, hoping someone would chime in.

Fauna

Fauna was about to reply to Saylee when yet another voice breaks through. She turns her head and sees a girl with a spray paint can. "Oh, more guests, haha!" She clapped happily. "Why hello there! I'm Fauna!" She greets before turning to Avia. "I would love to accompany you. Hey! Maybe I can show you all where the instrument room is." She says.

She then becomes serious. "Hey does anyone here know what time it is?" She says as she remembers her parents saying she was supposed to be there in an hour and she doesn't want to show up late and end up on her mom's bad side. God have mercy on Fauna's soul for letting her survive it at least once.

Fauna then perked up and looked at the photo. "Oh! What a wonderful picture. So, I'm guessing your going to be a photographer when you grow up huh? And by the looks of it, a great one at that." She says before looking over the group and hearing a familiar melody. "Oh, I love this song!' She says before singing the lyrics.

You know the bed feels warmer
Sleeping here alone
You know I dream in color
And do the things I want

She starts the first verse.

((Bit short. Gee, everything is happening at once!))

"Pshh. Sorry, man. I zoned out. What did you ask me?"

Blinking and fluttering his eyelashes, he giggled. "Nevermind, I remember. I got this 'cause, well, I kinda forgot, but I remember gettin' it from my older brother when I was 5 and, well, I was the one who messed with the wires and stuff so I will be able to download music."

Feeling like a sore thumb in a crowd, he pouted, his bottom lip sticking out. "Aww, I'm the only guy. I'm surrounded by a bunch of girls. They're cute, on the bright side, and seem nice.~"

That is, until he started squeeing like a small fangirl at the sight of a very small girl, at the most, estimated between 11-13. He honestly didn't know. "You're so cute! You remind me like, of like, a little kindergarten! You're Saylee, right? You said your name before I dozed off into space. May I call you Lee? Or Say-Say?"

The male's sharp and blood red gaze quickly shifted to Fauna. "I love singing, though, better than listening to music. Though drawing is probably my top favorite."

He glanced at his shirt and groaned. "Crap. Jumping around and stuff makes this shirt fall off my shoulders. God, my brother barely gets me my right sizes. He's such a stupid idiot, playing with his toys, tinkering with his stupid crap..you know, I'm surprised he hasn't even created robotic shit."

Growling and muttering to himself, he crawled into a chair and sat with his legs to his chest, pulling up his sagging shirt, and glaring at the floor as if it was something he hated. The male scowled, twirling a piece of his blonde hair. "Next time, I swear, when he gets in my face, I'll rip that stupid adult a new one..I'll slap the smart off his damn face and tell him to go kiss Albert Einstein. That's all I hear, all day. 'Einstein did this' or 'Einstein did that'. I swear, I'm getting tired of it, and I'm tired of him trying to pressure me into studying astronomy and doing aerospace engineering. Sure, stars are pretty and stuff, but no. I want to be a songwriter. I want to be an artist. I want to like, get on a stage and sing like little cute shotas on those anime shows, even though that's probably not even going to happen. I miss the TV. I used to watch it in a secret shed I had, but of course, I accidentally spilled my water all over it and it died and exploded."

Jumping up and landing onto the ground with a thump, his fist pumped into the air and he had a sly grin. "Yes! I know!" Running off rather too girly than he liked, he poked his head into a closet and pulled out a whiteboard with a marker. Jogging back, he dove into a seat near the table, his tongue poking out of his mouth in thought.

"Yes! That shall be the name of my band when time progresses and all these stupid laws go away! It shall be Sadist Fangs! Oh oh! Maybe, like, Sadistic Chimera, or a cool mythological creature. YES!"

When he had something written down, he threw it up into the air, and well, accidentally tore it in half. "Awww..." Slouching, his blonde hair tangled infront of his eyes. "Life sucks."

Konstantyn pressed a button on his wristband and the magnifier appeared infront of his left eye. "I hear something."

Poking his head out of a window, he gazed around, and saw suspicious rustling. If he magnified closer, he could see a bunny. "Aww, well hi there you little cutie! Have fun in the little forest, cute rascal!"

Turning around on his heel, his cheeks with a lingering hue of blush, pounded his hands down onto the table and laughed. "Stronger? Kelly Clarkson is hot, if I may say so myself. Oooh! Hello there, fellow lawbreaker!"

Fauna was mystified at what Kon had said. She stopped singing. "Ha! I know right. My parents wanted me to become a doctor! A DOCTOR! My parents say it will be fun. Since when is cutting someone open fun!" She rambles on until Kon's magnifier appeared. "Awesome. At first I thought it was some funky watch or something!" She giggle and turns to Avia and begins sing the second verse.

You think you've got the best of me
Think you've had enough the last laugh
Bet you think that everything good is gone
Think you left me broken down
Think that I'd come running back
Baby, you don't know me, 'cause you're dead wrong

She stops and looks over the small group. Finally people she could finally speak to... To actually share things with like art instead of math. People who could comment on her songs and to give idea's to her poems. This was the moment where she finally felt like she fit in.

#, as written by Koda
Kodi got a bit bored from sitting on the cold cement she'd been sitting for about 1 hour, if not 30 minuites, drawing. She finished her eagle drawing, but scince she just recently started her other drawing, of her dreams, she was almost done with it. The drawing was almost a clearing, a river right dead in the middle, with the cleanest water ever. There were eagles flying above a herd of white tail deer running peacefully. The clouds above the birds were as white as the pillows or white cotton candy. The earth was more of how it was meant to be. Kodi called it Yellowstone. She had researched it once on a hidden website, and to Kodi, it seemed like heaven.

Kodi looked at the the drawing and felt a painful feeling in her heart, 'I wish other's can see this.. maybe if they take a good look at it, they could see that drawing can show people's feelings, love and bealifs. Just maybe they could bring back art and singing, and dancing!' Kodi pushed the thought away, or else she would get overwhelmed and get a major anxiety attack. Yawning, Kodi stood up and grasped her notebook. She walked toward the abandoned school, she was walking there because she was wondering if anything useful was in there. Or maybe it would be better then sitting outside.

Arriving at the school, Kodi entered through the door that had a hole in it. Kodi looked and smiled as she looked over at the posters in amazment. As she continued walking, she stumbled upon a class of students. She looked at the teacher then at the students. Her cheeks flushed pink in embarrasment. She wanted the earth to swallow her. She thought it was rude to leave, so she decided to at least stay. "Sorry for interuppting.. I was just wondering about.. i'm sorry." She tried her best to seem small, and looked down in shame.

Saylee gave a nod and a smile to the girl at the door, and then turned to Fauna. "Thanks," she said. "And yup, I am planning on becoming a photographer - and a musician," she added, gesturing to the guitar still sitting on the floor, "Once someone rebels and kills every single bloody person in the government." As she neared the end of the sentence, her voice got quieter, so that the word 'Government' was just a mumble. "But, I don't have to worry about that - yet. I'm only th-"

"You're so cute! You remind me like, of like, a little kindergarten! You're Saylee, right? You said your name before I dozed off into space. May I call you Lee? Or Say-Say?"
Saylee turned to the person who had spoken, the only boy in the room. She smiled at him, and raised an eyebrow for a second. " A kindergartener? I'm not five, y'know!" she said it with a slight giggle, to show she was joking, and really didn't take it to heart. "But thanks, I think! And you can call me whichever."

The boy continued talking about a band name - something to do with Chimera's or something, but she wasn't really listening anymore. She was absentmindedly nodding her head to the tune that Fauna was singing, which she vaguely remembered hearing before. She picked up her guitar, and started strumming along, messing up at the start as she wasn't used to the tune, but soon got the hang of it. She was a quick learner, after all - who would have taught her to play guitar but herself?

As soon as Fauna stopped singing, Saylee stopped playing her guitar, slipping it back into her bag and taking out a tube of salt and vinegar pringles. She knew she would regret it later, but she gobbled them up, holding them up for anyone to grab if they wished to do so. She slipped the almost empty tube back in her bag, and picked up her camera, taking pictures of everyone.

"Sorry for interuppting.. I was just wondering about.. i'm sorry."
Saylee turned to the girl just as Pan spoke.
"Yup!" Saylee agreed. "It's a perfect place for, y'know, people like us." She held up her camera. "Say cheese!" she grinned as she clicked down on the button. The way Pan spoke amused her for some reason. She supposed it was probably because even though the girl was dressed insanely, she had the most formal manner of speaking, and the biggest 'fancy-shmancy words.' While she still said stuff like LOL and OMG mid-sentence.

Avia was just staring in such, still in unbelief that people knew that this place existed. She knew that there were people and classes still going on in parts of the school, but not the art section, since it had long since been abandoned and closed down.

Avia finished the song, as did Fauna. Then she put her flute away, a little out of breath. She didn't really know what was going, but there seemed to be a lot of people interrupting and walking in. Wasn't it rude to barge in when people were playing.

"So, how did you all find this place?" Avia asked curiously. The question had been bothering her for sometime. Then she turned to Fauna and added, "Could you show me this room with the instruments? I'd love to see it."

Then Avia turned to the girl who introduced herself as 'Kodi' and waved, although half-heartedly. "Hello," she said. She saw that she was bobbing her head to the song that she was playing on her flute.

"I know that I was breaking the law by singing and dancing and playing my flute, but I can't go a day without it," Avia said, looking rather sheepish, which was almost a first for her.

She then turned to Pan. She was having a hard time addressing these girls each individually, but it was her style, since she didn't want to leave anyone out. "I like your name, and I've seen your work around. You're a very talented artist," she said.

Then, Avia pulled out a guitar pick that she kept with her at all times and turned to Saylee. "Do you mind?" she asked. She has always wanted to try to play a guitar, and since she didn't own one herself, she was hoping this place might have one. Now, all these people in this room had an interest in a form of art, same as her. She was hoping that a friendship would form sometime out of this.

Fauna chuckled at Kon's complement. "Yes, indeed. I have a whole bunch of songs on this thing." She says as she holds up the small device. She turns it on and skims through the various artists until coming across Kelly Clarkson's name and turned on the song she was just singing. Fauna listened to it intently. "Oh how I wish I had a voice like her's..." She says a the music echoed through the room. She then turns to Pan. "Why thank you Pan." She then turns to the little girl. "Wow, your such a talented musician. I know only a small amount of things from instruments because I was usually more interested in singing and painting. Stuff like that." She says in a delighted tone. "Oh hey! The room full of instruments is just down the hall way. I'll take ya there if you want." She says to Saylee.

She looked down at the screen of the small device and the time illuminated from the screen. "Hmm... Well, I have about... 20 minutes left of freedom before I have to go to my house so..." Fauna began to think of what to do next until Avia came up with a fairly simple question. "Ah, well you see, I found this place as you know by accident at a very young age..." The memory came back to her. "Let's see... Well it all started when I was walking through the market when I stopped at the sound of something utterly beautiful. I turned around and saw a child just my age singing... Now I was six at the time and the girl didn't know better just as I so when the police came she of course had no idea what was going on. I watched in utter disbelief as the child was held by the arms and forced to tell where she had learnt the song from. I had run into an ally and watched closely as the girl meekly replied 'From my parents' and that was when she was dragged into the police craft." Fauna gave a sigh. "In total shock, I realized that this thing called singing was outlawed. But why? I had wandered through the ally and soon found myself running from the event. Not planning on looking back, I stopped when I thought everything was safe from the 'scary men in the black uniforms'. Now it was dark and I couldn't see a thing. Cold and lost I stumbled into this place and had fallen to sleep in this very room. When I woke up, I was amazed to see that the room I had taken shelter in was an art room many decades old... There's a tad more, That's just how I found this place though. Or so I think..." She thought for a moment. "Well, I do remember seeing a girl arrested and me spending the night here..." She thought some more.

"Ah well. That's just the back bone."

Avia responded, "Thank you, Pan, I'd like that very much." Just at this moment, Avia realized something that never ever occurred to her before. These people might actually change her. These people might change the whole of Nyukami City. They had the power to bring music and art back into the now broken government.

"Hey, Fauna, can I come with you guys?" Avia asked. She really was curious as to see where this hidden room with instruments was. She thought that everything musical was destroyed when the government banned it.

"If you ever form that band, Kon, I want to sing in it," Avia said.

Avia knew that these people were able to change the world, and her. Avia was a closed person. She never really talked to people because they never shared her love for art. Now, there are people just like her, deserting the rules set by the city and playing their instruments and drawing, and making defiances against the government like Pan. She had a lot of nerve to draw around the city. Where Avia had seen her drawings weren't exactly out in the open, but she saw them in many places.

She turned to Avia after she had finished her story. "Oh, of course Avia!" She said happily as she ran through the creaky door only stopping for a moment to examine the wooden door. "Hmm... I used one of these doors before in this building. It felt weird. It's nothing like the automatic sliding doors we have now I can tell you all that." She cheers as she skips down the hall way and finds what she is looking for.

At the end of the hall to the left, hidden by a door is a flight of stairs going up. She carefully opened the door and went up the stairs before reaching yet another long hall way. She walked down the hall. All the rooms were labeled. Room #1 was Chorus. Room #2 Orchestra. Room #3 Band. She had checked alll of these rooms and had found nothing in them whats so ever. It was like a they put all the instruments in one room just for safe keeping or to hide them. Fauna continued down the hall until reaching the room at the end of the hall way.

Saylee was just about to hand over the guitar to Avia when Fauna asked her about the music room. Saylee's eyes lit up. "Oh, please!" she said quietly, standing up. She listened as Fauna told them about how she discovered the school, and fell silent. Saylee but her lip. A six year old, being arrested? What was with the law these days?!

"I didn't have to worry about that," Saylee mumbled. "My father sang around the house all the time, and my mother made sure to drill into me that it was unforgivable - in public, at least." She gave a slight chuckle, before continuing. "And I found this place 'coz of you," she said louder, nodding at Fauna. "I heard you singing and I came to check it out. I had nevereven known this place existed since then. I was just taking a longer route than usual, and stuff."

Avia asked if she could tag along with Fauna and Saylee, which made her remember abut the guitar. She picked up her bag, taking out the guitar again and stood up, to see the girls had already disappeared from view, and the girl called Pan was following behind. Saylee cursed under her breath and followed, her guitar slung over her shoulder, and camera in hand. She skidded to a stop, turing towards the few left in the room. "C'mon!" she said, nudging her head in the direction the girls had gone.

Without waiting to see if they would follow, Saylee continued on her way, finally arriving beside the three girls. Avia was suggesting that they showed the place to the rest of the group. Oops, Saylee thought, thinking about how she had encouraged the others to tag along. Should I have asked first?
"Anyway, here, sorry," Saylee said, turing to Avia and handing her the guitar. "Blow me away!" she joked.

Once the others had caught up Fauna gave a nod to Avia. "That would be a great idea Avia! This could be everyone's secret little hide out. Though, it isn't that little." She begins to chuckle before turning to the others. "Hey, where's everyone else?" Fauna questioned before cupping her hands around her mouth. "You guys can come up here if you want!" She shouts. She didn't have to shout to loudly since her voice echoed through the hallways a bit. Fauna turns to Saylee. "Oh well. This isn't the room with the instruments in it actually..." She begins to chuckle as she opens the door and walks into a small office like room.

Fauna walks around the room until coming across a large book shelf. It contained numerous amounts of song books and cite reading books but no instruments to play them with. Fauna stares at the side of the shelf until putting both hands on the side and starts pushing. The shelf eventually starts sliding in the direction she was pushing. It takes about a minute or two before you could some what see the side of a door come into view as the shelf moves along. "Hey c-could you guys help me a little... This thing is really heavy." It was heavy but it also had something to do with the dainty rug. It had started tearing in pieces and had folded under the shelf creating even more friction then intended.

Saylee smiled as everyone agreed for the others to follow. Something beeped around her wrist, and she glanced at the High-Tech watch. "Sh*t," she murmured. She looked up at the others, who had managed to open the door. "I have to go in about ten minutes, so...yeah. Let's see this place!"

As the others continued on with...whatever they were doing, Saylee wasn't really paying attention, Saylee crept away. Well, not crept, exactly...more made sure theothers didn't notice her. Is that the same thing?

She walked towards a dek in the corner, where a computer and pages of writing and drawings splattered the desk. She sat down on the desk chair, rifling through the drawers. She found a small notebook with a dusty red cover, locked with a latch. Saylee sighed, until she noticed the key sitting on top of the computer. She picked it up, and sure enough, it was the key to the book.

Diary Entry #1

Today, while I was teaching class, a mob of angry citizens burst into the classroom, demanding that the Art class be shut down. I didn't even understand why; and still don't, even though I asked them about it. Someone claimed it was because it was a waste of time, a thing of the past. We have science to help us now.

I don't know why this is annoying me so much... it was only about ten of the millions of people in the world, but I must admit, I am afraid. What goes on in the crazy minds of others?

I must leave now, Miranda will be expecting me home soon.

Joseph Shwartz

Saylee read through the diary entry quickly, before stuffing it in her bag, along with a few other random pags she didn't even bother glancing at. She then turned on the computer, which made no noise as she did so - today's modern machinery had stopped making noise long ago.

She flicked through some documents idly. She had always been good at machinery, as her brother was studying something to do with it in college. She didn't really know what - she wasn't curious enough to ask. There had been a password, but it had just been the word "password," the first thing she had guessed. Now that Art was gone, imagination seemed to be too. Everyone was the same.

Finding nothing interesting, she was about to shut it down, when she noticed something labelled: SOMETIMES - FIRST DRAFT With a roll of her eyes, she clicked on it, and the screen filled with song lyrics.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to, when I was five
When boys were weird, and friendships were forever
When girls were nice, not b*tchy brats
And crying was okay once in a while
Now they are just simple mem'ries to remember

Sometimes I wish, that I could fly,
Soar a rocket into the sky
Away from the troubles, leave my past behind
I'd say goodbye, and pack my things
And off I'd go, me and my king
To see what we, can find

Sometimes I wish, I could be me
Instead of what everyone wants to see
Where I could sing, or I could dance
Just one day, is that so much?
One day to truly be us
Please just give me, a chance

Saylee stifled a laugh. Who wrote this? It was... bad. Did they expect this to be published into a real song? She rolled her eyes, but printed the lyrics anyway, slipping the page into her bag. She looked up, expecting the others to have already gone through the door.

(LOL, my younger sister wrote that song :L)

Avia helped Fauna and Pan move the bookshelf. It revealed a dark room. They couldn't really see it, but by the draft, it must have been big. It wasn't like it was a closet. No, it made too much noise for that.

'I wonder what's inside,' Avia thought to herself. She felt around the walls for a light switch and found one on the far side of the room. Yes, Avia walked inside.

When the light turned on, she said nothing. The whole room went silent. Inside were the most beautiful and glorious instruments one has ever seen.

"Whoa," was all Avia said. There was no other words for what was inside that room, but it seemed to give off that angelic glow that things give off when someone discovers something for the first time.

"How did these all survive? This place was abandoned a really long time ago," Avia said out loud.

Once the shelf had been dealt with, Fauna walked into the room just as the lights went on. "I don't know. When I came here at first, all the rooms were empty except for the 'art' rooms of course, but the music rooms such as the ones we had passed had nothing but dust bunnies and cob webs in them. When I found the office it looked like any other office and for a while I had no idea all of this was here until one day, when sifting around the books on the shelf, they collapsed onto the ground. I quickly picked them all back up and just as I was about to put them in the exact spot they were in, I noticed the color behind them wasn't the same color as the walls, and it looked like it had been shipped off instead of torn like the wall paper. So, I moved the book shelf, with quite some struggle. In fact it took me a couple of days to move it." She chuckled. "But when I did I immediately ventured forth into the mysterious room only to find the most remarkable instruments I had ever seen." She chimed before walking over and across the room. Once she was on the other side, she opened the window and sun light washed over the instruments creating an even more 'natural' glow to them. "I sometimes come here to polish them and make sure there dust free. I don't know why though. There just so...so... beautiful." She said at last.

Fauna walked over and behind one of the curtains and retrieved a small violin. It was the smallest one in the whole room. "This one is my second favorite..." She says as she retrieves the bow. She sets them both against the wall before walking over to large curtains in the far side of the room. She opened them and there was what seemed like a table with a beautiful white cloth over it. She took the cloth and yanked it off revealing a gleaming obsidian piano. "Of course this one's my favorite. I know how to play, just a little though." She says before looking towards Avia. "You wanna play it?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

Fauna

Fauna listened to the beautiful melody being played by Avia and hummed the notes herself. "So, how long have you been playing piano?" Fauna asked before noticing Avia getting a little nervous. "Oh here. Let me get that for you." Fauna says in delight before walking up to the window and closing it. Once the sliding window made a click at the bottom, she turned to Avia looking for an answer.

((Sorry if it's short.))

Avastir

Avastir had continued walking for sometime in the opposite direction of home. He didn't want to cross the road where the fight had just broken up. Maybe he could get some things for his dad or maybe groceries for his mom... Avastir thought about an explanation as to why he wasAvastir brushed a hand through his hair in frustration. His parents couldn't be fooled to easily. It was a miracle they let it slide when he would come home drenched and have an excuse as 'I slipped'.

Avastir sighed deeply. A bit bored, maybe he could talk to someone. His alone time was over whenever he got bored so he continued on hoping to look for some teenager to talk to only to find the Red headed girl and the Blonde haired boy talking with each other. Avastir wasn't going to interfere so he just leaned up against the wall of the building and occasionally glanced in he direction of the two.

He wasn't trying to stalk them or anything in that subject. He was only curious as to what the two were doing. They appeared to have peaked his interest somewhat. You don't just run into the same people in a city like this. "Hmm, must be a smaller world than I think..." He mumbled to himself.

Fauna smiled when Pan seemed to have found an instrument she seemed to know of. She listened as the notes of music seemed to fuse together forming one melody. To others, all the music would seem obnoxious but to Fauna and the others they seemed just beautiful. Fauna then got an idea. "oh! Maybe we could all come back here tomorrow and throw a...music fest! or something like that. We don't have school tomorrow and I'm pretty much free on Saturday's so... we could have almost like a party!" fauna jumps a little bit and turns to Avia. "what do you think?"

"get caught?" Fauna said in complete shock before laughing. "hah! the government has completely forgot about this place. Not to mention it's in the middle of scenic no where." She chuckles. If someone were to tell on us or we lead them directly to this place then we won't get caught. as long as we keep the music a bit lower than it will all be fine." Fauna says in delight.

Amusement was the first emotion to be felt when he saw the red headed girl appear in front of him. “W-Would you like to join us for lunch?” He heard the girl say. His eyes darted to the girl to the boy. "I don't know. I don't want to interrupt...something that you two were doing..." Avastir says slowly. "But I could go for a drink to get my mind off the skirmish that I had ran into." He thought for a moment. "Well, I think it's up to your friend to decide if I should come or go." He said. He wasn't trying to get them angry nor make them feel uncomfortable, it's just someone never gets to see this often. Plus, he needed some friends anyway.
