He finds helping other people genuinely rewarding and is generally willing to assist those who are in need. He also finds that doing things for others is a form of self-fulfillment rather than self-sacrifice, however he does not enjoy confrontation, but will stand up for himself or push his point if he feels it is important. He has strong will-power and is able to overcome your reluctance to begin tasks.

He is a calm person who is considered almost fearless by some. He rarely gets angry and it takes a lot to make him angry. Mostly his emotions are on an even keel and he does not get depressed easily. He does not feel nervous in social situations, and has a good impression of what others think of him. He is poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed.

He loves the bright lights and hustle and bustle. He takes risks, and he seeks thrills.

He is a moderately imaginative person who enjoys a good balance between the real world and fantasy. Jamie is reasonably interested in the arts, but mostly interested in just music. He has good access to and awareness of his own feelings. Always eager to try new activities, travel, and experience different things. Finding familiarity and routine boring, he will take a new route home just because it is different. Often he exhibits a readiness to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. He also feels a certain degree of hostility toward rules and perhaps even enjoy ambiguity.

He naturally assumes that most people are fair, honest, and have good intentions. He sees no need for pretense or manipulation when dealing with others and are therefore candid, frank and sincere. People find it relatively easy to relate to him. He does not like to claim that he is better than other people, and is generally shy from talking himself up. Blakely didn't know whether or not to put Jamie down since he was squirming around in his arms. He glanced down at him, wondering if it was a good idea to put him down or not. If he did put him down he would either be thanked or Jamie would plead him to carry him again. Was it weird that he was carrying one of his friend’s wedding style? No, he didn't think so but who knew.

He was about to ask Jamie if he wanted him to put him down or not when he felt lips on his. A shocked expression came onto his face then he felt heat crawling up onto his face as a huge blush came to his cheeks. He didn't know what to say, flustered he sputtered out, "T-that's it?" He had to admit that he did in fact like when Jamie kissed him he didn't mind at all that he did. An unintentional smile came to his face soon. He wondered what Jamie thought about him now, did he think that he minded the kiss or did he think it was bad that he actually enjoyed the kiss? Could he even tell that he enjoyed the kiss? Possibly. They were all possibilities and if he even thought that Jamie had any doubts that he had actually wanted the kiss then he would set him down and tell him that he actually liked it. It would be a little hard to admit it but he would if he had to.

Jamie was quiet for awhile, blushing madly and trying to refrain himself from jumping out of Blakely's arms and taking off towards the house. Though he tried to tell himself that his friend hadn't thrown him into the ocean yet, so he supposed it couldn't be that bad. Not like it was a big kiss or anything, it had barely been a peck on the lips. Still, if he was angry at him... he suddenly felt really stupid about doing it. When he looked back up at Blakely though, he was smiling, which confused the hell out of Jamie. "I-..." he didn't know how to continue, tilting his head to the side- like a puppy would - and staring at the other boy.

Ducking his head once more, he mumbled a quick apology. It was weird though, considering he was still in the other boys arms, but he wasn't going to make a move to leave them unless Blakely decided he needed to drop him or, like mentioned earlier, throw him into the ocean. What else was he supposed to say? Your lips are just as soft as I thought they would be? I haven't been able to get that kiss off my mind since we got here? No, that would be disastrous.

Blakely hesitated slightly while he started to think hard about what he should do. He hoped Jamie wasn't embarrassed or had thought that he was being pressured into kissing. The kiss wasn't even that serious, it was just a peck. He cleared his throat then adjusted Jamie in his arms. He noticed the blush on Jamie's face so perhaps the boy thought it was a bad idea to kiss him. He didn't want him to think that though so without thinking he placed another peck on the other boy’s lips before quickly pulling away. He suddenly felt like it was a really bad idea, he wanted to apologize but couldn't find the words to do so.

Now he was worried that Jamie would be mad at him so he glanced over his shoulder, a worried look coming to his face. Several thoughts rushed through his brain and he felt kind of light headed for a moment. "I hope you didn't mind." He whispered finally. He managed to keep himself from stuttering. He glanced down at the boy in his arms, thinking about what it he would say if he put him down and if he would get mad if he did. He didn't want to do anything that may give Jamie the wrong impression. He wouldn't really admit that right now because he wasn't sure if it was the time or not but he really... well he really liked him. To be honest. A sudden though came to him, what was the other boys thinking about them and what were they doing at this moment? He wouldn't know till they finally decided to walk back to the house and go inside.

He had kissed him. Blakely had kissed him, on his own. Did that mean that he hadn't minded the kiss? Or perhaps he had just felt bad, which made Jamie think that he shouldn't have looked so disappointed. Then Blake wouldn't have felt so bad that he felt the need to kiss him again. The whole entire idea was unraveling in his head, creating a whole big pile of reasons for why he should not have kissed his best friend. At the same time though, when he would almost get to that point of figuring out that he was a complete and utter screw up, he would remind himself of why he should have kissed Blake. Because he had wanted too.

After a moment of struggling, Jamie managed to achieve a very ungraceful and embarrassing fall back to the ground. Somehow he had stayed upright though, but it was also placed him very close to Blake again. It was like this with everything, when things got difficult or complicated, Jamie ran. Yet it seemed the world was against him on this one, or else he would have landed further away and then he would have run. But the closeness of Blake's and his body, barely made him able to remember how to breathe, let alone try and turn away from him. I hope you didn't mind, the words ran through his mind again, and he blushed. Without giving himself time to think about it, he leaned up and kissed Blake. It wasn't one of the childish pecks on the lips they had shared twice now, it was a real kiss. When he pulled away, he managed to repeat his friends words. "I hope you didn't mind."

Blakely swallowed hard, obviously it had seemed that Jamie did in fact not mind at all that he had just kissed him. Was that a bad thing? Of course not. He couldn't deny the crush he has had on his best friend that he has had for quite a while now. He hadn't realized till now that he must have felt the same way. The thought of it made him blush a little. Everything had just become so confusing after they had left the house. He didn’t really understand anything yet and it took him several moments to piece it together.

Once he had finally put everything together and no longer had to worry about Jamie not wanting a hug or a kiss or something along those lines since he didn't seem to mind at all. He was the one to make the first move anyways. By this time Jamie was standing now and gave him yet another unexpected kiss which left him baffled. He wasn't shocked this time though, his eyes were just a bit wider than they were before. He slipped his arm around Jamie's waist, tugging him close so he could lean in without much work and whisper in his ear. "I didn't," He whispered in his friend's ear. He pulled back, straightening himself out before smiling adorably. "Want to continue our walk now?" He asked after several moments of silence. It wasn't that he wanted to change the subject or anything it was more likely that he wanted to offer him to do something else so this didn't keep happening over and over again. No matter how much he would actually enjoy it. They had plenty of time for that if they so choose but for now they might want to take it slow, possibly try and not freak the others boys out by their affection towards each other.

Jamie could still remember his first boyfriend, which was surprising since it was a good three years ago and he could hardly remember what he ate for breakfast. He was fourteen at the time, tagging along with his older brother to 'older kid' parties. At one of these, he was dared to kiss another boy. Easy enough, the boy had been cute and Jamie had never kissed anyone before, so did it really make a difference if he was kissing a boy or a girl? Well it turned out that he actually liked guys a lot more, and ended up dating the senior. Until his brother flipped and beat the hell out of the other boy, that is.

Since then, he'd pretty much gone out with every single guy that was available to him. He was the biggest flirt, didn't really care if it was a male or female. A lot of people teased him for it, but a lot more people loved the crazy little gay kid.

When Blake's arm went around his waist, he couldn't help but blush. Again he did the whispering in his ear thing, again making him completely flustered. It was like he knew, but that wasn't possible. This was probably the closest he had even been with Blakely. "Ah, um, yupp." He said, only barely remembering that he still hadn't answered the others question. "I promise I won't ask you to carry me this time," he teased.

Blakely nodded, "Okay that's fine. If you want me to carry you again just say the word and I will." He told the boy softly before walking. He made sure to keep his arm around Jamie's waist while they walked along the shore of the beautiful beach.

The male thought about what had just happened. He wasn't sure how he and Jamie stood now. If they were still best friends or possibly more. Of course the question swam around in his head but he wouldn't dare ask the question because he knew that it could end two ways. To make the question go away he thought about his first boyfriend. It was when he was sixteen, for years he always dated girls. He had been a very well-known person in his grade and on his school baseball team till he went to a party and got so wasted that he ended up waking up next to a boy. He didn't understand it at all he was very confused about what gender he liked until he was randomly kissed by a boy from another team after they won a game against them. It wasn't so bad since he soon started to date that same boy. It ended pretty soon though because his boyfriend didn't want to date him anymore and left him not only crushed but his reputation was also messed up afterwards.

He was never really crushed though after that. He fixed his life so that he had a better reputation than after everything that had happened to him that year. A bunch of people usually came to him, and he dated a bunch of other boys after that. He was known as a huge flirt, but was also a class clown. A bunch of people adored him, especially his teachers. He glanced over at Jamie, stopping himself before he really started to think about his previous boyfriends. They weren't important at the moment. Right now Jamie was important to him, he was terrified to lose his best friend and was also terrified that if he didn't say something soon he would end up losing him to someone else. He tugged Jamie closer, closing his eyes for a moment and breathing in deeply while he took now slow steps. When he opened his eyes again his lips twitched up into a smile. It was just then that he noticed the other boys blush. The older male of course realized how Jamie would blush and looked flustered after he whispered in his ear or got close to him. Was this the right thinking or maybe he was making a false accusation? He highly doubted it but he was almost positive that he was right.

(Sorry if this post was like a little jumbled up or something and not that great.)

Blakely didn't really like the silence between them but just having him close was good enough. The memory of him comforting Jamie when he came to his house just bawling his eyes out. It was terrible, he wouldn't ask why he had been crying that one day and for some reason he didn't really want to know. He comforted Jamie for a while before offering him to stay at his house on the couch for the night if he wanted to. Only when he woke up Jamie was gone and his best guess was that he had just gone home to cry it out. He felt terrible that day that he couldn't do more. He cared about his friend and couldn't help the fact that he grew a small crush on him. It wasn't until him and his friend's started to plan this trip when he started to grow feelings for his friends again.

They were nearing the house more and more with each step. When Jamie asked the same question that he had been thinking about since after they had kissed. "I don't know really. I was thinking about that too and I was hoping that we were more than friends now but if you don't want to then I am fine if we just say friends for now." He answered softly. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to answer that question even though he had been thinking really hard about it. "What do you think we are now?" He asked suddenly.

Jamie went over all the possible meanings of Blakely's answer. Literally, he probably stood there staring at the ground for at least a minute before even beginning to think how he was supposed to reply to it. What if Blake was just saying that so he wouldn't hurt his feelings? He could have been expecting Jamie to not want to actually be more than friends. But if he was honest with himself, he did want that. Maybe Blake really did want to be more than friends, but then, how would the other guys react to that? They would probably be at least a little bit surprised, and definitely confused. You went out on a walk... and now you're... together?; Uh, yupp. Pretty much. It seemed impossible, unless Blake actually had had feelings for him before, like Jamie had. But that didn't make sense either.

"I like kissing you," he finally said, or more like blurted out like his previous question. "I mean, I like kissing you, because I like you." Jamie paused again, silently scolding himself for being so awkward around his friend. "Again, I mean, I've liked you." By this point, he was sort of just hoping that Blake would laugh for his stupidity, it would make it a lot easier to deal with. At the same time though, it was this moment that he had been waiting for for so long, and he didn't want to miss it. "I've wanted to be more than friends for... a long time."

Elliot turned to stare at his quickly retreating friend. After a moment, he shook his head and took a deep breath. He dropped down in the sand again, propping himself up with his arms and letting his long legs stretch out in front of him. Suddenly Varin was there again, and was also suddenly wrapping around Eli. His eyebrows shot up, even though Varin probably couldn't see from his position. He couldn't hold back the smirk that appeared on his face, though he did feel a little guilty at the thoughts that shot through his mind. Could Varin actually like him? Em could have just been teasing him, but the way that he had gotten so flustered and had left the house quickly.

"Varin, what did Em really mean?"

Blakely smiled when he heard that Jamie had liked the kiss that he had liked Blakely. He had hoped that Jamie would have answered it like that. The way he answered his question made him laugh softly because Jamie just seemed so nervous and seemed to be babbling. "Really?" He took in the fact that Jamie had been wanting to be more than friends for a while now. How could he have not noticed that one of his best friend's had a crush on him and wanted to be more than friend for a long time now? It was a mystery to him, but that didn't really matter right now. He started to kick at the ground a little nervously then turned his gaze towards the ground where a small pile of sand started to form. What should he say? That he felt the same way? Or that maybe they should take it slow? He wasn't sure because honestly everything seemed to be a good idea to him at the moment. He was so happy to hear that his friend didn't just kiss him to joke around or be nice that he couldn't really think straight.

Finally he came up with an idea that just might be a good idea. "I have liked you too for a while." He blurted out, a blush came to his cheeks. "Why don't we just be more than friends then? The others don't have to know if we feel that they shouldn't know right now so nothing becomes awkward around them or something." He suggested as he turned his gaze over to his best friend. He hoped he didn't sound like he didn't want the other boys to find out about them. It wasn't like that at all. He could honestly careless if the other boys knew but the problem that they ran into was that the other boys would most likely wonder how this happened so quickly. He focused on Jamie, a hopeful expression coming to his face after he pushed any doubts aside.

Jamie's first thought was that Blakely didn't want the others to know. This brought him immediately back to his earlier thoughts, about how his friend might not have been expecting him to actually want to be more than friends in the first place. Beginning to panic, he- without realizing it -began rocking back and forth slightly, going from his toes to his heels. As soon as he actually noticed it though, he was quick to correct himself and stand still again, and went over his other thoughts. Blakely was probably just thinking the same things he had been, about how the other boys would question how they had suddenly started... not being friends. He began to calm down, somewhat.

Nodding slowly, he looked up to find a faint blush on Blake's face, and a look of hope. It encouraged him further, completely wiping away any doubt that had begun to reform in his mind. Especially knowing that he wasn't the only one that had been secretly crushing on his best friend, since he hadn't been sure how Blake would have taken that. For all he knew, he could have thought he was some sort of crazy stalker or something. "I think... that's a good idea. I mean, not that we can't tell them eventually, right?" His eyes grew a bit wide, his overdramatic side coming out yet again. "Like, we aren't going to have to sneak around and stuff? Blakey," he loved calling him that, even if it sounded more like a childish nickname. "We could end up like Romeo and Julio! I don't want to have to kill myself, so could we please maybe tell them sometime?"

"Of course we won't end up like Romeo and Juliet!" Blakely exclaimed, "We are going to tell them some time if they don't figure it out before. They need to know since they are in the same house as we are and since we don't want to keep it a secret forever." It was the truth, a secret like that was almost impossible to keep for a long period of time. Plus soon one of them will end up feeling like the other doesn't want people to know because he is embarrassed of them even if that really isn't the case. "I want people to know but I just don't want our friends to think we are going too fast. I don't want them to think that we just started to like each other and randomly decided to date even thought that isn't the case." He stated.

The boy noticed that Jamie was becoming over dramatic again and also just noticed that Jamie had just called him Blakey. A name that only a few people actually called him. Just as he thought his blush was going away it returned. He stopped then turned to face Jamie. The male took the other boys face between his hands and pressed his forehead against his. "Your being over dramatic again," He whispered. "Look don't even worry about it. We will figure it out. We don't have to sneak around, if they find out then they find out. If that is alright with you." He told him gently. Who cared if people found out? He guessed that the best idea was that they found out with time and that Jamie and him didn't just walk right in and announce that they were more than friend's now. It most likely wouldn't be too good.

Jamie let out a deep breath he hadn't known he was holding in. His more-than-a-friend had been able to calm him down, at least somewhat. His heart was still racing, but he doubted that was because of the situation. Blakely just had that effect on him, and it sucked. He felt like he was fourteen again, going out with the same boy that broke his heart in a matter of days. Or well, didn't break his heart, more like somewhat wounded him. But he had been very dramatic about it at that time, going through his little gothic faze for about a month. It was all black eyeliner, spiky hair, barely clothed and tight pants. Everyone pretty much just laughed at him, or tried to figure out what the hell was wrong with him. Though he hadn't been talking much, so no one really got an answer.

He did happen to notice when Blake's face grew red again, and he was going to tease him about it before his own cheeks were painted red. Not for the same reason though, no, it was because Blakely was yet again close and Jamie's heart sped up to the point where he wondered if his friend could hear it. Even though that was like, impossible or something. And apparently it didn't just happen when Blakely whispered in his ear, because being that close and feeling his warm breath against his lips was getting him all flustered again. He nodded, or at least as much as he could with his forehead against Blakely's. "Does that mean... does that mean I get to hold your hand? And kiss you and stuff? I mean, when they aren't around." How many boyfriends had he had before? And he was choosing now to be an idiot?

Blakely was a little nervous about this. He just got over a break up a few months ago and still to this day felt bad about it. He was moving on now though and he was moving onto one of his best friends. The only thing he was worried about was that this could ruin their relationship later on if they broke up. He didn't want to be that person that sent him into a dark place or make him lose his mind. He was worried about what was to come. He had to push away the thoughts of his last break up and how badly it ended and focus on keeping this relationship. He couldn't lose not only his best friend but also yet another boyfriend.

He closed his eyes only to open them a moment later. He pulled back only about a few millimeters so that their forehead's weren't pressed against each other anymore. "Yes that means you can hold my hand and all of that other stuff whenever you feel like it." He whispered. He thought it was cute when Jamie gets all flustered around him. "It doesn't matter if we are around the boys or not. I wouldn't do it around the boys though if you don't want them to know about us." He added with a small smile. He suddenly picked him up kind of like you would pick up a toddler and twirled around with Jamie in his strong arms before putting him down. "Come on, let’s get back to the house." He winked at Jamie, set him down on the ground and then walked a few steps before stopping. He glanced back at Jamie, "If you want to talk more about this then you can come to my room tonight and we can talk about it more." With that he turned away again and extended his arm backwards then held his hand open for Jamie to take.

Jamie felt like he needed to say something. Blakely looked like he was thinking, which left him to stare at his feet and think about what he had just done. It was quite possible that he had just ruined their friendship, and he did not want to be responsible for that. Hell, he didn't want to happen it all. His thoughts gradually worsened until he was imagining Blake hating him forever and running off to marry some girl. This then brought him back to his previous boyfriend and then, well, everything started spiraling downwards for him. The five boys he was at the island with were his best friends, probably his only real friends, and sometimes he wasn't even sure if they liked him. He was either too loud, or too excited. Like Blakely often pointed out, he was way too dramatic and would probably make a better girl than a guy. And he was awkward to be around, kept everyone up at night because he couldn't sleep. If Blake and him 'broke up', his friends would be forced to take sides. He didn't want it to end that way.

He refused to voice his questions though, because he didn't want to upset his friend. Instead he just forced a smile onto his lips, laughed when Blake's strong arms went about him and swung him around. When he began towards the house again, he felt frozen. Only when Blake mentioned going to his room later that night, did he really snap back. The outstretched hand was maybe the most important thing, because without the support of knowing his friend cared, he probably would have broken down again. Too dramatic. Grinning, he bounced forward and placed his hand in his friends, walking beside him back towards the house. "Thanks Blakey." And he meant it, but for more reasons than the other boy knew.

Blakely held Jamie's hand gently as he lead him back to the house. When he thanked him he wondered what for at first, "Your welcome." He said softly while thinking about what exactly he was thanking him for. His best guess was because he had finally asked him to be more than friends so he wouldn't have to keep having that crush of his.

He didn't want anything to be too different then it would be. He had to get rid of the nagging thought that if they broke up then it would permanently ruin their friendship. Also the fact that he does pretty stupid things without really even thinking about it could also affect their relationship. He definitely didn't want to be the cause of this. A forced smile came onto his face and soon they were right in front of the house. He stopped, turned towards Jamie and said, "Well that was a nice walk." He released Jamie's hand then stretched his arms up over his head.

"I guess," replied Jamie, trying to look bored in case the others were watching them. He couldn't help when his eyes traveled down to the bit of skin that was exposed when Blakely stretched- it wasn't his fault that the other boy had to be so stupidly attractive. Pulling him to the side, away from the view of any possible peeking eyes, he stood on his toes to place another kiss on the older boys lips. This one lasted longer than his previous, and was obviously much more... more.

Blakely wasn't the only one that could leave another breathless.

Grinning, he brushed past him and bounced back into the house. Immediately his eyes went to the couch- were Kyle and Em were seated -, and his eyes widened at the comment Em made. "Beast with two backs, huh?" repeated Jamie, trying to ignore that fact that his cheeks were bright red. He made his way into the kitchen, grabbing a Monster before returning to drop into an armchair. His legs draped over one armrest, and his head rested on the other as he opened the drink. "What d'you think," he began, pointing to himself. "Top or bottom?" The boy winked before taking a sip of the Monster, watching the other two.

Elliot frowned, trying to think of what he could say that wouldn't upset the other boy. It wasn't that he didn't find Varin attractive; he always had. He just wasn't so sure that he would actually be good for him, if that made sense. Scooting over, he repeated his earlier actions and wrapped his arm around his friends waist and pulled him closer. "Em's a jerk," he said lightly, hoping to make it a bit less serious. Varin looked embarrassed, and he didn't want him to have to be embarrassed about it. "But if you... had a crush on me, why wouldn't you just say something?" Did he really come off that mean? It wasn't like he would ever just full on reject a guy, especially not a guy he liked- Varin. "You never know, I could like you too," he did like him too.

Varin blushed a bit harder, fidgeting with this fingers as he could hear his cousin wondering who was cooking later. He looked over at Stark, face still as red as can be. "Well...I did...I mean do..." He was fumbling over his own words, embarrassed that he had to admit it and his mind going a mile a minute. He sighed, trying to calm down. "When you live with your cousin since before you can make coherent ideas, you tend to get used to it." he finally said as leaned on Elliot. "He knows I've been crushing on ya since sophmore year and has tried to get me to at the very least admit it. Why do ya think I get sour on Valentines day or get fluttered like earlier." Without thinking, he nuzzled into him a bit. "Let's just say...I didn't know how you'd react to me just blurting out to you out of no where."

Em raised a brow and glanced over at jamie. "Was vondering when you two would come back." He said as he woke up a rakk hive. Much to his dismay. "Bottom, plain and simple. And you're still glowing James." He said simply, starting to pound on the controller as he started shooting at the beast uncontrollably. Never mind the fact that he was started to register that kyle like him and was starting to get flustered slightly. He hoped that the game would make it subside a bit.

Kyle raised his eyebrows at the feats Em had mad in Skyrim, "By the nine that's absurd!" He laughed and then looked at Jamie, "Yeah. Bottom." He laughed a little as the boy's cheeks were red. His stomach growled again. Looking back at the screen he realized that he was really far away from Em, so he picked up the controller and made the character run. Killing Rakks as he approached him.

It was fun to play video games. He hadn't done it in a while, especially since the Playstation and Xbox were both down here, he never really got the chance to play them. He was glad that he was playing them with Em, but he was worried that Em thought of him differently now.

He hoped not.

Blakely stood there, shocked for a moment. He watched as Jamie bounded into the house, leaving him there completely breathless and lost for words. He didn't go after him because honestly there was no point when they were trying to keep this to themselves for now. He stood there, waiting till his cheeks returned to their usual pale color so that he didn't look like he was blushing for no reason. He didn't want to seem like a total idiot in front of his friend's.

After about a good five minutes he thought the blush was gone-which it was- he sauntered into the house. He went straight for the fridge, grabbing out a soda and opening it. From the kitchen he went through the living room, waving at the other boys then to his room so that he could check to see if there was any way he could possibly get on the internet. He needed to check his email since one of his friends who wasn't here with him was supposed to send him something. He walked into his room, closing the door behind him and smiling to himself. He just needed some time to think, a lot had just happened and he wasn't sure how it all came to it. With that he walked over to his bed, plopping down on to it and then laid down to look up at the ceiling for a little bit. He closed his eyes then moved his hands under his pillow and plucked his IPod and his headphones from under it. After plugging in his head phones he started to listen to Chasing Cars | By Snow Patrol instead of doing something on his computer. He would check that later in fact he would do a lot of things later. Right now he just wanted to relax a little.
