"Umm..." Silas started, he trailed off, working out just what he wanted to say. Bane always showed up when he wasn't being confident or, "manly". Maybe if Silas tried doing something new, expanded his horizons and pushed himself, Bane would just go away. "I-I didn't mind. It j-just surprised me is all." He said. This was so strange. It was just the two of them together. Usually, Firvin was with them, usually Silas was drawing in his notebook, not looking at her, trying to keep his cool. Being up close to her, just like this was so different. Silas was suddenly immediately aware of everything around him. The slight breeze generated by the ventilation. The stuffed bear that was in his bag. The sweat forming in beads on his forehead. There was a sweet, intoxicating aroma. Was it coming from Sierra? Did she always smell this nice? Regardless, the sensory input was too great. Silas couldn't really handle it. He had to get out, it was too... stimulating. He was too nervous, his hands clammed up and a lump formed in his throat, and his heart was tap dancing in his chest; something about it was nice though. His heart was racing, but his mind was calm. His brain wasn't running at five hundred miles per hour like it usually was, testing the waters to see if Bane would come out. He was just... flowing. Maybe, maybe he could ask her now. Would she say yes?
"I-I was just off to the practice room." Silas said, beating most ungracefully around the bush. "Something feels different about our... m-mine and Bane's, magic. I need to see how it's affected my spells and to see what's changed. You... you could come with, i-i-if you like? The Witch's practice room is quiet and its a good place to study." Silas asked. He extended a gloved hand to Sierra. He... he felt like offering to hold her hand was something he should do. He didn't know why. Was Bane pushing him? Or maybe... just maybe, he was growing up. Just a little.

"Umm..." He fumbled. "I-It's not that I didn't like that. But you sh-shouldn't touch me. Remember? My skin is dangerous. If you touch me for too long... even... if it's k-k-kissing... I'll drain your energy and I'll knock you completely unconscious. I... umm..." Silas fumbled again. He didn't know how to explain himself. He very much wanted it to happen again, but he knew how dangerous he was. It was why he wore gloves, why he didn't get too close to anyone, even Firvin. His touch was dangerous. "I'm sorry." He finally said. "I've wanted this to happen f-for so long... I... I guess I'm not sure what to do from here. I... I would very much like it, if... if w-we could do th-that again some other time. Once I've figured out how to turn off my draining powers." Silas finished, stumbling over his words and blushing brighter than he thought physically possible.

"Hi."
"You alright man?" Daine asked.
"Yeah... It's just that I'm not sure whether or not I can live here... I have too many secrets to keep, ones dangerous to reveal... Them... They all can reveal theirs whilst I am not to reveal mine."
"Dude... You revealed that so many times already..."
"Only to certain individuals..."
"Well, what can you do?"
"That's what I was asking you." Asher and Daine-or at least, Leonardo- were best friends. They both helped each other in their times of need. Asher is in his, trying to live a normal life inside a facility made for people like him. "I'm used to hiding, man... It's not like I can freely express my true self that easily..."
"Then at least try..." Daine responded. He sighed then went back inside, sitting on one of the chairs of the bar. Asher went back in as well, sitting right next to Daine.

Timber looks up to see Sierra go wizzing past her. Timber sees the tears on her face and goes to shout after her but Sierra was already gone. Instead she walks into the lobby where a new woman is waiting. She walks over. 'Hey dhampir I'm Timber do you need me to show you to your room?'

"Hello, I am Magiere Dimir, and yes please show me to my room". Magiere replies politely. As she stands and the two begin to walk to the dorms. "I noticed a bar in the lobby, is there anything else to do here? Is there anywhere I can train with these?" as she asks the second question she gestures to her swords. As she says this they see a man walking towards them.
"Hey Timber!" he says before turning to Magiere, "I'm Firvin, I've been here for a few years, who might you be?" he asks her.
"I am Magiere, Timber was taking the time out of her busy day to show me around, what is that around your neck?" she replied.
Firvin chuckled slightly, "This is Revion, he looks like a regular vine but as you can see he is alive, but don't worry he wouldn't hurt anyone" as he said this Revion lifts his 'head' towards Magiere and then back to its rest position. "Timber, I know there is a lot to take care of in the lobby, why don't you go take care of that and I'll show our new friend around." He said offering her his hand to shake.

She walked over to the practice area. there were dummies that move and would help her recover. Sierra pressed the button and the buzzer sounds. The dummies start to roll forward. She draws her sword and readies it. the first dummy gets withing striking distance, Sierra's arm snakes out and the sword stabs him in the chest. The dummy dissapears into a veil of mist. Sierra puts the sword down she had no fear of losing it. Only she could touch it, even magic cant. She puts some of the anger she was feeling towards herself into a ball of spirit. She throws it at the nearest dummy and it crashes into it. Sierra let her wings unfurl slightly, if she let them unfurl completly they would be to big for the room. A single black feather drifts down but the rest stay in place.

Magiere was talking with Timber and Firvin when an incredibly handsome man who appeared about twenty walked into the hallway only to leave again right away. That's odd she thought to herself. She was taken aback and when he returned and Firvin began talking to him she barely heard him speak, too focused on this new tall and handsome man. She looks at the new man, as he approached she got a strange feeling, the kind of feeling she only felt when she was hunting, That's impossible, I know there are vampires here, but he doesn't look like a typical vampire and the sun still shining. she thought to herself as she ran her tongue across her pronounced canines, hating that particular gift from her father the most. "Firvin a bite to eat sounds wonderful, although I would love to get to my room and change first, it would be nice to take off this armor for a while, and see my wolf". she said gesturing to the silver plates on her shoulder and knee. "Seeing as we're both new I wouldn't be surprised if our rooms are nearby, maybe you'd like to meet Ayla, despite her species she's quite friendly with most people" she said to the tall man with a wink. "By the way I didn't catch your name, mines Magiere" she said cutely.

The woman wearing armor speaks up before they head off. Stelian smiles at the woman. "That would be because I didn't offer my name though if you wish to know I'm called Stelian. As to your 'Alya' I've never had a problem with pets though I prefer those of Canine decent." 'Odd she has some features of a vampire though she is quite obviously not a vampire. She is out in daylight after all I'm the only day-walker. I'd best not press the issue she will tell me when she is ready.' He chuckles to himself lightly and turns to the elf. "So sorry, Yes I am new here I attempted to introduce myself earlier but there was a bit of a ruckus in the main hall so I figured it best to leave you all be. I went off to search for my room but with little success."

"Oh you like canines? My Ayla despite her lineage acts just like a husky around people you'll love her, you simply must come meet her when we find our rooms." she exclaimed with a smile. She wipes her brow dramatically, "these swords are getting heavy, you wouldn't mind carrying them for me until we get to my room would you?" she gestured to the falchion and saber on her hips. It was clear she carries them regularly and should not actually need help carrying them, He is rather cute, I hope he takes the bait, it'll be nice to be in one place for a while so I can actually get to know someone, and he seems nice enough she thought to herself. She smiled at him as they followed Firvin down the hall.

Silas sat in the corner and crossed his legs. The room was dark and quiet, just the way he'd left it. Silas opened his spell book and turned to the very last page. Silas chanted a short spell and closed his eyes. He felt the world around him spin and he fell into himself. Silas's pulse slowed and his eyes rolled back into his head. Silas was going to visit Bane.
"Hello Cry-las." Bane said. When Silas opened his eyes, he was inside his soul, like he had been before when Bane took over. This time, however, it was different. Instead of being dark, and dreary like it always was. There was some light. It pierced the darkness here and there, it was still scary, but it wasn't as threatening as it was looming. The darkness was there, but it wasn't drooling in anticipation of eating you alive anymore. Silas didn't know why entirely, but he knew it had to do with one thing. Something that was different this time. Silas had come here on his own.
"Bane," Silas said. "Train me." Bane visibly faltered. "What?" he asked. "I don't believe it. This is a trick."
"No." Silas said. "I want to be able to turn off my drain. I want to control your aura, and I don't want to be afraid of you anymore. It's time for me to grow up a little. I've been holding onto my Inequities, and my fear of you, for too long."
"Umm..." Bane said, "Well... I don't know what to say. Are you sure you want this? I mean, we both know that when it comes down to me and you, I win. Every time. And you're willing to put yourself through this, because you feel like growing up? I'm impressed. Let's get started. I'm not gonna go easy on you though. If you're gonna turn into the kind of soldier I want, I'm gonna have to break you." Bane taunted, smiling evilly.
In the span of one hour of real world time, Silas trained for what seemed to be weeks in their Soul. Silas learned so much. He learned the secret to Bane's aura, though he couldn't quite control it, he could at least stop it more effectively. He learned how to become smoke and make himself intangible. Finally, and most importantly, Silas learned to turn off his drain. He could control it. It was an extension of Bane's aura. Silas had been repressing it, so it was hidden just under his skin. Finally, after what seemd an eternity. Silas opened his eyes. They were different though. They weren't just a deep brown. There were flecks of amber in them. When he woke, there was a girl in the room with him. He'd never met her before. "Oh, Hi!" Kalin said. "My name is Kalin, and you are Silas, right? I'm new, hello! I am a demon." She looks at him "Is something wrong?"
Silas looked up at her and smiled. "No." He said. "I'm great." He said cheerfully. Just then, the door opened. Sierra cautiously walked in. Her wings extended a bit but she managed to control them. She sheathed her sword no sure how it got to be in her hand. She could see Silas in the corner and a new girl. Sierra walked over to Silas hoping he wasn't angry with her. She folded her wings across her back but they we still tense in case of a swift exit. "Silas I'm so sorry, I got the wrong body signals from you." She looked away. "The truth is I really like you. I have for so long. But I can see you think differently, I will stay out of your way." Silas blushed bright red, but then he frowned. He was so happy. He wanted to jump and shout and throw his arms around her, but he couldn't. He was so embarrassed. He thought he was ready for this, obviously he wasn't, further, something was wrong. A silvery tear rolled down her cheek and she turned around, walking out of the Magic room before Silas could say anything.
"Um..." Silas stuttered at the new girl. "I'm sorry, but I need to go chase her. It was very nice to meet you." Silas threw himself down the hallway, following the sound of footsteps to the practice room. There she was. Silas closed the door behind him silently. He was panting softly, nervous, but ready. Sierra was obviously upset, she was viciously attacking the training dummies. Silas walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder, ducking when she twirled around, sword in hand. "Easy. It's me." Silas said reassuringly. "I'm sorry. I was too shy to say anything before, but...I-I like you. When I said I wanted you to stop, it wasn't because I wasn't enjoying k-kissing you. I did enjoy it. Very much so. I wanted to stop because... because I was afraid my draining powers would hurt you, but I'm not scared anymore. I can control them now." Silas demonstrated by taking off his gloves and gently touching her face. He wiped away a tear forming in her left eye. "So... umm... c-can we try again?" Silas asked. However, he knew he couldn't wait. He was too nervous, and he knew he couldn't hold it in any longer. Silas leaned over and gently placed his lips on hers.

When they break away Sierra opened her eyes, they have turned a blue-ish silver. Silas met them with his own brown and amber ones, leaning his forehead against hers. He smiled, blushing bright red, he was at a loss for words. Her wings are still curled around them. "Wow," she managed to gasp. "Yeah... wow." Silas said. "That... Th-that was amazing." Silas stuttered. "I don't even know what to say. I guess I should... d-do you wanna go out? Properly?" Silas asked, still blushing scarlet red.

Before she could responds Timber stepped forward cutting her off, 'Yes Dhampir what did you do? I'm Curious' Just then Timbers phone beeps and she steps aside to answer it, coming back with a huge smile.
Magiere hands the swords to Stelian with a smile, "Thank you, and if you must know, as Timber here has said, I am Dhampir, we're a rare breed. My mother fell in love with a vampire and they married but when he discovered she was pregnant he left. As for my profession, I didn't really have one. I was looking for my father, I want to have a 'discussion' with him." The word discussion is filled with malice and hate but immediately following she returns to her normal happy self. "And you Stelian, what are you and what was it you do? If you don't mind my asking." she turns the question around on him with a flirtatious grin.
