Azrael: #9A0808 Gabriel: #16497C
They have a shared title that they are known by of "Kitsune Twins", referring to their skill in illusion magic.
Azrael's hair is silver in color, his eyes matching the shade almost exactly. The locks brush his shoulders at their longest and often the shorter ones fall in the way of his eyes. There is usually a smirk upon his face. Gabriel's hair is black in color and shorter than his twin's, reaching his chin with the longer locks. However with the slightly shorter length his hair is often a spikier mess that refuses to listen to reason. His eyes are a sky blue in color.
Their outfits tend to change a lot depending on what they are doing, however they usually wear clothes that are darker in color and have a simple design to them, mostly because they're often the more practical things to wear.
With their other form of magic, most people would assume them to have each others. Gabriel's laid back personality is more suiting of water than Azrael's more forward one, just as Azrael's constant and sometimes sudden movements is often more akin to lightning than Gabriel's steady pace in life.
They often use their magic together in combat and combine Azrael's Water spells with Gabriel's Lightning ones to make them more effective. Their Illusion magic does the same thing, each of them covering different senses to create more powerful hallucinations when combined.
- (Illusion) Chameleon: An illusion designed to hide the caster.
- (Illusion) Midsummer: The feeling of warmth on the skin, the smell of the beach and the ocean breeze, the taste of ice cream. An illusion to lull the target into a state of calm.
- (Illusion) Deep Winter: The cold seeping into one's skin, cutting off the other senses. An illusion to temporarily disable the target.
- (Water) Tidal Wave: A large wave of water meant to knock those caught in it off of their feet.
- (Water)Water Wall: Water summoned to block incoming attacks.
- (Illusion) Chameleon: An illusion designed to hide the caster.
- (Illusion) Requiem: Nightmarish creatures fill the target's visions, screams heard in the background. An illusion designed to instill fear.
- (Illusion) Oasis: The sights and sounds of a desert, with a hazy vision of an oasis in the distance that never seems to get closer. An illusion to disorientate the target.
- (Lightning) Radiance: The caster spreads lightning around them, the energy bursting outwards as a wave to hit everything in its path, once the energy has been released it's direction cannot be changed.
- (Lightning) Impulse: Lightning charged hands that shock the opponent when contact is made.
- (Illusion) Eden: A large meadow filled with roses. The combination allows for the target to believe that they are becoming ensnared by the roses. Azrael makes them think the thorns are digging in and tearing out flesh while Gabriel provides the imagery to go with it.
- (Illusion) Aftermath: A desolated wasteland. A loved one falling. This illusion draws on the inner fears of the target to make them reality, in the mind of the victim at least.
- (Water and Lightning) Battle Lance: Jets of water charged with lightning. They can move and change targets at the will of the twins, the two elements even separating at times to go after more targets.
- (Water and Lightning) Charged Defenses: A wall of water charged with lightning to shock anything that tries to go through the barricade.
At the age of fourteen, the elderly lady who had raised them passed away. After spending a couple of months grieving for her they vowed to one another to become stronger and perhaps help others who needed it, like the old lady had done for them. It was while they were learning to become stronger that they realized that illusions wouldn't protect them forever, nor would they be useful in the event that the mirages failed to effect their intended targets. Together they agreed to take on a branch of offensive magic each, Azrael taking Water with Gabriel taking Lightning.
A year later, at fifteen, the pair joined Fairy Tail and thus far have been members of the guild for three years. During that time they have taken on jobs together, rarely teaming up with others unless told to since they felt stronger together than they did apart.
Of the two, Azrael is usually the more defensive and quicker to anger. Usually he paces in front of the table the twins have claimed for themselves, gesturing wildly while talking to his brother. He is the more likely brother to be baited of the two and doesn't take insults very well, even if they're in jest.
On the other hand, Gabriel is rather laid back, derogatory comments usually ignored in favor of calming his twin down before Azrael does something he would regret. Of the two, Gabriel is more likely the one who would talk to the clients when on the job, as Azrael's temper would usually get them in trouble.
- They work well together.
- With their skills they can often adapt to various situations with ease.
- Their skills in Illusion magic have left them with an immunity to illusions being used on them.
- They rely on each other too much, often leaving them easier to defeat when alone.
- They are very protective of one another, perhaps too protective.
- If not careful, when combining Lighting and Water magic they may end up getting caught in the attack themselves.
- Orphans and children are somewhat of a soft spot, they would struggle to hurt one and will go out of their way to help them if needed. Even if they turn out to be enemies.
- They usually stick together.
- When separated they seek each other out.
- Azrael tends to gesture when speaking.
- Gabriel will sometimes doze off during long talks.
- They live together in the house they were raised in, at the edge of Magnolia.
- Both of them have a sweet tooth.
- When not working or at the guild hall, the pair can often be found at the orphanage, playing with the children there.
