β–  Personality β–
"Oh, I'm not anything special, really.." ^^
Anyone who has ever met Armin would describe him to be one of the kindest people they've ever met. He has a strong morality and is the type to always worry about others if he feels something might be wrong. He's got a soft spot for anything or anyone who needs his help and loves to make others happy. Although he can often be very a little naive about a lot of things, he does his best to try and understand. Of course that usually ends with him just bubbling up into a pile of unnecessary confusion.

He's very protective of nature, one of the few things he can actually get angry about if someone were to disrespect it. His love for nature only goes to show how caring he can be, for he's just as loyal to his friends as he is to plants and animals. To be able to make others smile and feel accepted is one of his main goals in life and he really enjoys being in the company of others, despite his slight case of shyness when talking to strangers.

β–  Magic β–
Plant Magic - He mostly uses caster type magic when using this type of magic. He specializes in the manipulation of plants using his magic energy. He may be physically weak in appearance but his strength in the use of plant magic is nothing to be underestimated. Although he only began learning this magic four years ago, he's come long way for such a short time. Even so, he doesn't usually use heavy amounts of magic unless absolutely necessary, so he's a little timid when it comes to using his magic for fighting and he does have his limits. The reason he's a little afraid of using heavy amounts of magic is because he's afraid of overdoing it. Plant magic was specifically created to kill. So with Armin not being someone who would be capable of taking a life, of course he'd be cautious of using his magic to an extent where he might do just that.

β–  Signature Moves β–
β–Ί Cage of Thorns - This is one of Armin's stronger attacks. It's a method in which he can trap an enemy without killing them. Using a special magic-infused seed(see equipment) in which he plants in the ground, an array of thick rose vines will grow from the soil and ensnare his enemy. The vines have sharp, thick thorns and they will continue to grow around each other until they create a sphere of magic-infused roses, vines and roots that contain his opponent.

β–Ί Nature's Bite - To call upon any number of immensely large carnivorous plants which sprout from the ground to basically do the caster's bidding.

β–Ί Dark Forest - A particularly large and powerful attack which Armin doesn't usually use unless he's cornered or if his team needs to get away. Using a strong amount of magic power, once Armin casts this spell a flurry of mossy, black-barked trees will grow from the ground and create a tightly-packed and musty forest, the radius of it depending on the amount of magic power that Armin uses when casting it. The trees will part for Armin or any who aren't the enemy but will move closer together to trap whoever they see as a threat.

β–  Equipment β–
β–Ί Magic Seeds - Although Armin's type of Plant Magic is mostly in the Caster Magic category, he'll also use it as Holder Magic as well. As such, he carries a brown pouch which hangs on his left hip attached to a brown belt. This pouch is filled with different kinds of magical seeds that are specifically meant for Plant Magic. How does he tell them a part? He's studied these seeds for a long time and all he has to do is know which one he needs before reaching his hand into the pouch. After doing so, whatever seed he needs to preform the magic with will be the seed he picks out, like metal to a magnet.

β–Ί Dagger - Armin also carries a beautifully carved dagger with him whenever he leaves the house. It's made specially for cutting through magically-infused plants or wood, but can also be used as a regular knife as well. He keeps his dagger in a dark green leather sheath attached to the right side of his belt.

β–  History β–
Armin grew up in a small desert town located in what most would call 'the middle of nowhere'. The town didn't have much but everyone managed to get by despite this and everyone seemed to be good and friendly with each other. Armin was born as an only child, but never met his father due to the man leaving to join a guild before his mother, Penelope Wells, even knew she was pregnant. He didn't mind not having a father since his mother was very kind and loving. However, during one of the worst droughts that the town had ever suffered, his mother caught a bad virus and soon fell ill due to the lack of water. The drought lasted for another four months before the town finally received rainfall, but by then it was too late. Armin was seven years old when his mother passed away from the illness and he was passed on to his aunt and uncle. Now they weren't bad people either. In fact he loved both of them very much and did whatever he could to help out on the acre of land that they owned to grow crops.

With the rain season finally blowing through it was much easier to grow food for the town, but the dry ground still resulted in a lot of the more complicated plants and food to die out. It was during the second year that he'd spent living with his aunt and uncle when he discovered a book on Mage Guilds locked up in their basement. It instantly caught his eye and he took to reading it whenever he could, of course not without his guardians permission to do so. He continued to read the book in his free time when he wasn't churning dirt or taking care of the crops. His mother used to tell him stories about Mages, beings who used magic to protect their friends and the lives of others and who fought against the evil Dark Guilds. With no Mages living in his town and never having met one, it was like reading a fantasy book to him. As he got older he became more and more interested in the world of Mages before finally, at the age of 12, he made the decision that he wanted to be a Mage as well. Although it took a little convincing before his guardians allowed him to go off on his own, they supported his choice and wished the boy luck.

After eleven months of traveling Armin still had had no luck finding himself a teacher nor learning any magic by himself. He still kept his head as forward as he could, but he'd begun to doubt that he'd ever be able to become a member of a guild. That was when he met a drunken man who'd passed out on the street after blabbering to Armin, who had been a stranger to the man, about 'not needing that rotten guild anyway'. Armin shockingly managed to drag the man, albeit it took a few hours, to the Inn that he'd been staying at. When the man woke up the next morning Armin questioned him about the seal the man had on his neck. When he answered that it was a guild stamp, the blond boy knew that this was the perfect opportunity and begged him to take Armin with him. The old man refused without thought and left without even thanking Armin for caring for him in his drunken state. Within the next month Armin had pursued the man anyway despite his refusal, learning the mans name was Oikane and he'd been removed from his guild, though he never gave Armin the reason. Finally, after the third night that Armin had to pull the drunken Oikane of the street, he agreed to teach the boy magic, but in return Armin had to basically be the mans personal slave, having to clean-up and cook for him and fetch him alcohol or clean his clothes whenever told to do so. Within the next few years the man lightened up on the boy and Armin sort of began to look up to him as the father he'd never had. However, even after the bond that Armin had formed with him, as soon as Oikane had taught the boy everything he knew, he got up in left with only a small goodbye. Armin was upset about this, but was also grateful to his teacher and after a couple months of searching he'd done exactly what he'd set out to do. He joined the guild known as Azure knights and has now been a member for a little over six months.

The early mornings in Hisbiscus seemed to be Armin's favorite part of the day. It was calm, relaxing, with the townspeople just beginning to bustle around going about with their everyday routines. The blond boy let out a yawn from where he sat on the stairs in front of the large building where he'd rented an apartment six months ago. Sometimes he found it hard to believe that he'd been a member of the Azure Knights guild for that long. Most of the mages there had been there for much longer, but for Armin it was a great accomplishment for himself. He's even finished a bundle of C rank missions! Of course he had to pay rent some how, but that wasn't the point. To be able to go and see so many different places and to be helpful to people was more than enough reward for him.

"Right!" He said aloud to himself with a smile as he stood up. It was about time for him to get going. Chances were by now the other members of the guild were meeting up already.

He stretched his arms above his head as he began to walk, the sleeves of his long-sleeved blue shirt falling to his elbows for a brief moment before he brought his arms back to his sides. He'd have to pay rent again this month, better find a mission today.

β–  β–  β–

It took the blond a little while before he neared the guild entrance. On the way there he found himself a little side-tracked when he came across a stand selling freshly baked sweet potatoes and he just couldn't resist buying a batch of them to share. With the brown bag gently held against his chest with his arms around the sack, he stopped when he noticed some of the members out front. Let's see...Veronica, Akio, Jien, and then Lilina and Lilly. Surprisingly enough it didn't look like there were any arguments going on, or at least not at the moment. That was a bit of a relief. "Good morning everyone!" He said with a cheery smile before holding the sack of warm potatoes out in front of him. "Is anybody hungry?"

β€œEh,”

Lilliana had a mini heart-attack when she felt the sudden, inappropriate, embrace from her almost name-twin. Her composure struggled to assume a decent position, while Lilina fully enjoyed the reactions to her sudden indecent course of action.

Cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, and Lilliana couldn't wish for a better moment that the ground would open up beneath her and swallow her whole to save herself the embarrassment of this very moment.

β€œFooled ya! I got shorts underneath!”

Once again her brown beads caught sight of Lily the second, still happily enjoying the reaction on Lilliana's face.

β€œAh...” The girl stammered, her hands gripping tightly around the book she carried. β€œY-you can't just...” But Lilina had already left the scene to assist Veronica in a desperate escape from the terrifying Akio and his horrid flirty one-liners.

Though that wasn't what had caught her attention, and Lilliana doubted that anything could do that as well as... he could.

Her eyes beamed with joy at the arrival of the blond boy brandishing a smile that melted her weak little heart.

– Armin...

Oh how she was glad to see him in all his fluffy and adorable glor- Wait, he hadn't seen that little display just now, had he? Oh no, the horror! What wouldn't he think of her! This day can't get any worse now!

Swallowing the fictional lump that was stuck in her throat and kept her from breathing properly, Lilliana briefly retorted with, β€œN-No, I g-got to go.” and scurried out of the room with her reddened face hidden carefully behind a book.

She only stopped running when she was just about out of breath, her feet touching the soft and grassy touch of... grass. Lilliana let out a flux of air as she slowly walked further and further out onto the backyard, the gentle breeze swaying her long, brown dress around her legs. The scarf draped around her neck dancing alongside it in perfect rhythm.

β€œOh no!” Lilliana pressed her hands against her face, dropping her luggage onto the ground as her face expressed pure shock. Pure, horrific shock. I completely waved him off like he was some insignificant delivery boy! Stupid, stupid, stupid! As her nerve-endings began scolding the little princess one after one, she herself began twirling around in the hopes someone would tell her this was just a dream and she'd wake up in her bed without a single worry.

β€œOh dear, what do I do?!” She exclaimed, reaching down for her book and slowly walking around the guild's backyard, slash training field, slash whatever. Not really noticing anyone, since her mind was far too busy with trying to avert a crisis of unimaginable proportions that needed immediate fixing.

Tatsou stretched as he woke. He looked around his one room house making sure everything was where he'd left it. Yawning he stood slowly and started getting ready for the day. 'Gah I need to get a job today I'm running out of money and rent's gonna be due soon plus I'm really hungry. He mentally berated himself for putting off work for so long. Once he got himself dressed he swung his sword over his back. It wasn't a normal sword. It had been given to him by Adalinda. The blade was made out of a rare steel that she'd heated and forged herself. The sword was without a doubt his most treasured possession.

He moaned and groaned as he walked his way out of his house quickly picking up the pace as he went. "I need to get there before all the interesting jobs are taken." He continued running until he was able to see the guild hall. He slowed his pace as he noticed the crowd of people gathered in the main yard. "Their all there... Should this be when I go and try to fit in..." He took a deep breath and started walking towards the group eventually ending up just on the outside of the group. He didn't speak up having already done better than he'd expected. 'I'm here if they don't notice me they don't notice me I'm at least here with the group.'

After a while the group disbursed and started looking for jobs. 'Hmm I guess everyone's running short on money. I hope there's still a good job by the time I get up there.' While he waited for the board to clear he want over to the kitchen and grabbed a rather large plate of food and headed over to an empty table.. "At least I'll be able to eat before I leave for my mission." He took a small bite enjoying the taste before it got to be to much. After just a moment he started shoveling the food into his mouth as quickly as he could without choking himself. As he hate his thoughts continued running back to his guild mates. He sighed softly pausing his feeding frenzy. "I wonder why I have such a hard time with people. It'd be so much easier if someone came to sit with me."

'Puppy...?' Briar thought at the remark from Veronica as she approached and pointed an accusing finger at him and over to Lilina in turn. 'That girl is anything but a puppy, 'demon' would be more accurate.' He chuckled as the thought forced its way into his mind and he involuntarily scratched his head, ruffling the fiery crop of hair.

Pinching the bridge of his nose, he focused his eyes once more as he found himself staring at the odd swirls of ink on her dress than at her face. It was far too early in the morning for these kind of illusions and he was having a bit of trouble actually hearing what she was saying, mostly due to the distraction of her dress. "Hey," he said, spreading his arms in a defensive gesture, "Lily's old enough to do stuff without me holding her hand at every turn. Besides..." His tone changed suddenly to a slightly playful one, "if I'm really going to be the babysitter and upstanding individual in this guild, I think we're all screwed!"

The burst of laughter that followed at his own joke was a combination of early morning giddiness and a slight influence of his hangover. Truth be told, he really didn't remember what he had done last night that was making him so tired this morning. And that usually equated to a large sum of alcohol in almost every case. "In any case," he started as his eyes locked on the bag of potatoes Armin was carrying, "who cares what I did last night? I'm more concerned for what I'm going to eat today!"

Without warning, Briar was wide awake and launched himself at the young, golden-haired boy. In one smooth motion, he scooped up the youth and hefted Armin over his should with incredible ease. "C'mon, I'm starving!" He said in a rush of words as he snatched Veronica's hand and drug her along with them as he sped off. Armin slung over his shoulder, and Veronica being drug behind, Briar bounded through the guild passing the others huddled around the mission boards as he did so.

Subtlety wasn't always his strong suit...

Ah...there goes Lilliana. Armin watched her run off rather quickly without saying much and he blinked in confusion. With his arrival were there just too many people around for her? Maybe she just didn't like sweet potatoes.

"Trying to fatten us up again Armin? I swear you always are concerned for the welfare of others. That's a rare sight these days." Veronica had said to him and he let himself focus on that rather than the reason why Lilly disappeared.

"I couldn't pass up sweet potatoes!" He said with his usual little smile, bringing the brown bag back against his chest. Veronica had begun to lecture Briar, who'd come down not long after Armin showed up, now about something that must've happened while Armin wasn't around since he couldn't really figure out what she was talking about, but he stood there quietly listening anyway, giggling a little when Veronica called Lilina a 'puppy'. Now that he thought about it the small girl did sort of act like one, especially with Briar. A pair of ears and a tail would probably fit her, to be honest.

As Veronica and Briar talked Armin let his eyes move across the guild hall. It didn't look like everyone was here, but quite a few of them had already showed up, including Saphira who, before even finishing whatever she was going to ask them, went off to stand by Jien and the other two guys. As he was about to turn back to Veronica he stopped when he spotted Tatou. That's right, he'd passed them by not too long ago and was now eating...rather vigorously by himself.

"In any case, who cares what I did last night? I'm more concerned for what I'm going to eat today!"

Armin moved his eyes back in Briar's direction, tensing up a little once he noticed how intently the man was staring at the sack of potatoes in his arms. "O-oh, well I-" He began with a sheepish smile, only to have his sentence cut off when he found himself being picked up without warning. He let out a small yelp in surprise, quickly holding the bag up so the potatoes wouldn't get mushed as he was slung over Briar's shoulder.

"C'mon, I'm starving!"

"B-Briar-san! I'd rather you not carry me like a child!" He said in a sort of helpless tone. It wouldn't be much longer until Armin turned 17, yet he could still be picked up and thrown over someone's shoulder so easily. Something about that made the blond boy feel kind of small... Of course he was small, but still...

Armin let his arms relax as he held tight to the bag in his fingers and let out a sigh.

A faint blush appeared on Veronica's face as Briar's eyes none too smoothly eyed her chest. ~Is he really...doing..that right now..or is it the illusion that distracting him~ she thought, while trying to ease her blush away. Slightly grinning at the mention of his occupation as a temporary baby-sitter for the spunky girl with the speed magic before muttering "Yes, if you were in charge of all the little brats in the guild, I swear our repair bills would skyrocket. I doubt Azura would like that idea." A true giggle escaped her lips as the man began complaining of the lack of food in his stomach. A typical male comment, he was proving her idea that men had one track minds.

Her eyes widened in surprise at the agility as her hand was pulled along tightly by the warm hand of Briar's. Thankfully she was no being subjected to same treatment as Armin was, who appeared to be resigned to his fate. As her face flushed crimson once more as she hoped no one was observing them to closely. As they came to halt, she quickly took her hand from his before muttering "You really need to work on your tactics Briar. I just hope Aniko doesn't try that on me..my response would not be as willing..". Her face seemed to turn even redder as she realized that she would of preferred to have her handheld by the crimson maned man..rather than the blonde angel.

~Why is it always around attractive men I trip over my tongue..~ she thought with irritation. Glancing at Armin she whispered to him "Are you okay? I don't think people mind when you bring in those delicious potatoes, but I doubt you like being carried around like a sack of one.~ Still, the bag that was being clutched in the boy's hand in a death grip, did smell tempting right now. Although she doubted that he would willing part with them while in such a embarrassing predicament.

Rayne squirmed in her bed as sunlight filtered in through her window. Her eyes fluttered open and were greeted with the bright orange glow that filled the room. Sliding out of bed, she walked over to the bathroom and took a shower. She let the hot water run down her body, relaxing her muscles. Hot showers always made her sleepy, though that was far from what she needed in the morning. There was steam curling around the room and the mirrors were fogged by the time she turned off the water and stepped out. She quickly got dressed, and ran a quick brush through her long hair.

She descended the stairs, and her eyes met the usual chaotic sight of the guild members. Even so early in the morning, the guild was never quiet. Though the hectic atmosphere that was permanently at the guild was annoying at times, it was probably the best part. No matter how many arguments people got in, or how bad things got, everyone was always together in the end. People were milling around and conversing, and a hefty crowd was gathered around the missions board. 'Hmm, I should look at that later, haven't done a mission in a few days.' She sauntered over to a relatively empty table and sat down. Tatsou was seated across from her, occupied by the food on his plate. "Hey," she greeted quietly with a smile. Tatsou was quite similar to her, they both didn't speak to people very often.

She tucked a few strands of her dark hair behind her ear and rubbed her eyes. She was still sleepy and quite drowsy; she needed to do something to wake herself up. Her stomach rumbled lightly, and she clutched it in embarrassment. She looked towards the kitchen, and saw Briar with Armin on his shoulder, dragging Veronica with him. "Looks like my stomach is talking to me, I should go get something to eat," she said, and excused herself. She quickly headed to the kitchen as hunger gnawed at her.

She heard the a laugh ring out near her, and she turned to see it belonged to Akio. He was with Ryden and Jien, who seemed to be helped by Sapphire. As she passed them, she sent them a friendly smile and wave.

"Are you okay? I don't think people mind when you bring in those delicious potatoes, but I doubt you like being carried around like a sack of one.~"

"Oh, no. I'm fine!" He said, giving Veronica a reassuring smile before letting out a small sigh, relieved to have his feet back on the floor of the guild hall once again. It's not as if he was too bothered by it, in fact Armin really enjoyed the liveliness of the guild in the mornings. It wasn't just Briar, but Lilina and Ryden and the others who seemed to fill the guild with such energy. It could become troublesome sometimes, like if Akio became to flirty with someone and got himself punched in the face or worse, but Armin had gotten used to the roughhousing of the other guild members. His aunt and uncle did tell him that he'd always have a place to come home to, but he couldn't imagine being anywhere but here.

Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted when out of nowhere the body of another person, Lilliana to be precise, bumped into him quite roughly. If he hadn't of been holding onto the top of the sack of potatoes so tightly it probably would've fallen onto the floor.

"Ah, sorry!" He heard Lilina say. He'd barely had the time to notice that she'd fallen rump first onto the floor and was now picking herself up from where she'd landed. "I made a little oopsie, haha!"

Lilina messed up? That wasn't something that happened often. Either way it was an accident so he gave her a nod before she began to talk to Briar about going on a mission and he turned to face Lilliana.

"You're going on a B rank mission, Lilly? That's a first! I bet you're going to do really good!" He said to her with an excited smile before bringing the index finger of his left hand up and lightly scratching his cheek "Speaking of which I was hoping to try one myself today, but I haven't got anyone to partner up with. Oh, that's right!" His eyes widened for a second in realization and he looked up a as if to ponder through his head. "If you'll excuse me, Lilly-chan." He said, looking back at her and bowing his head a little before turning around.

Tatsou was still sitting by himself, his food nearly gone now though. He really must've put a lot on his plate. Armin had thought about approaching him earlier to warn him that if he ate that much he might get a stomach ache, but with him getting thrown over Brair's shoulder an all...he got a little side-tracked and completely forgot that he was sitting by himself.

"Good morning, Tatsou!" He said cheerfully, sitting himself down next to him after setting the bag of potatoes on the table top behind them. He could probably just leave it there for now and let others help themselves. He couldn't go carrying it around with him after all, and he wasn't very hungry himself. Armin never really ate that much, which was probably why he wasn't very tall nor muscular. Maybe he should eat more...

"I heard earlier that Ryden is going on an A rank mission. Cool right? Are you planning on going on any missions today?" The blond asked curiously, resting his arms crossed over each other on the table and leaning forward slightly.

"Good morning, Tatsou!" Tatsou quickly swallowed his last bite of food as Armin sat down. 'Hopefully this time I'll get to talk before he goes rushing off.' "I heard earlier that Ryden is going on an A rank mission. Cool right? Are you planning on going on any missions today?"

Tatsou took a breath to settle his stomach before replying. "An 'A' rank mission? Those are supposed to be some of the most difficult almost always taken on by a team. I've only ever been able to clear 'C' rank missions on my own without getting into trouble. I don't have anyone to partner with yet either..." Tatsou looked towards the mission board. "But I do need to get another job if I want to keep my house..." Tatsou's face lit up as a thought hit him. "Armin. You wouldn't want to team up with me to take on a 'B' mission would you?" Tatsou tried his best to be friendly. After all this is the first person to come and sit with him for an actual conversation. Even more odd Tatsou found that he actually wanted him to agree to paring up. It'd make the job at least a bit more fun.

Uh-oh. She had done it now! Of all the people around her, why did she have to crash-land into her dear Armin?!

With a muffled 'thump!', Lilliana let out an 'Oompf!' as the air in her lungs was literally squeezed out. Her eyes fell on Lilina, who was quick to recover from her fall, before darting to the person she herself had bumped into.

The blank stare on her face was coloured a deep red soon enough, and the princess quickly buried her head in the collar of her clothes as far as she could. Slim fingers fidgeted around with the cover of the book they were holding, pressing one side heavily into the girl's chest.

β€œS-S-sorry...” Came a muffled response from Lilliana, her eyes sneaking a blurry peek from underneath some fringes of brown hair to witness the boy's reaction to her clumsy action.

Her stupidity couldn't have caught her in a more uncomfortable situation, and all the while, Lilliana kept hoping something else would drag her away from this forced confrontation.

Oh dear, oh dear! He wasn't going to be angry at her, right? Find her weird, or annoying?

β€œYou're going on a B rank mission, Lilly? That's a first! I bet you're going to do really good!”

The girl blinked. He isn't mad? He isn't mad! Her little heart raced with joy, her lips forming a genuine smile, though she was far too nervous to actually dare and lift her head. β€œY-yeah...” She answered rather hastily, the low whisper even more muffled with Lilliana's head hung low.

She was going al right, but she wasn't going to do any real physical work. Upon the reminder that she had actually chosen to go, Lilliana couldn't help but feel a little discouraged by Armin's words. What am I thinking?! There was no way she'd be helpful. At all! She'd be luggage with legs, and Briar and Lilina would be pulling off two jobs at once! Why am I such a klutz today!

Her inner stress was subdued by Armin excusing himself, and bowing his head before leaving to join Tatsuo at his table. β€œB-Bye.” Lilliana followed her little prince with her eyes, suppressing the urge to leap and embrace him for being so kind to her. Again.

Looking at Tatsuo, the girl greeted the quiet dragon slayer with a graceful bow and flashed Armin an almost unnoticeable wave – Her fingers barely leaving the surface of the book.

Her smile widened as she murmured, β€œWe talked...”, before twirling around and join up with her team. Her head still as red as a freshly plucked tomato.

I feel so fuzzy! A hand lifted to her face, gently pressing itself on her cheek. Something that was so simple had really sapped her morning energy, and her usual worries about the mission rose once more. β€œEhm... I- Ah...” She sighed, facing the tall man with the fiery hair. β€œMister Briar, eh... sir,” Lilliana adjust her pose, finally allowing her tightened arms to loosen up a bit. β€œAt what time do you wish to leave?”

"An 'A' rank mission? Those are supposed to be some of the most difficult almost always taken on by a team. I've only ever been able to clear 'C' rank missions on my own without getting into trouble. I don't have anyone to partner with yet either..."

Armin's eyes widened just a little at Tatsou's answer. Not because there was something surprising or shocking about it, but because this was probably the first time Armin had heard the white-haired boy reply with such a long sentence. Usually he barely spoke whenever Armin tried to talk to him. The blond's somewhat surprised expression returned to his usual cheery one as he smiled and listened to Tatsou continue talking until he suddenly turned to him.

"Armin. You wouldn't want to team up with me to take on a 'B' mission would you?"

"Eh?" That seemed to be all he could manage right away as it took him a minute to go over what Tasou had just asked him. Did he really want to go on a mission with him?

After a couple seconds of silence Armin's face lit up as if he'd just heard the news that a parade of puppies was about to pass through Hisbiscus. "Y-yes I would!" He finally said, his eyes twinkling with excitement as he stood and then turned towards Tatsou. "To go on a mission with a real Dragon Slayer would be an honor!" He couldn't help but smile wildly. Though he probably looked a bit dramatic when he placed his hands on his knees and bowed in a perfect 90degree angle before returning to an upright position. Perhaps he was overreacting just a smidge, but he really was happy.

"I guess we should go take a look at the mission board then, before the good ones are taken." He calmed his composure some. "It'll be my first time going on a B mission though and I've only partnered with someone a few times, so I hope I won't slow you down. I've got rent at the end of the month to pay too, so this is a great opportunity!" He then spun around, ready to make his way to the mission board.

Rayne was suddenly bombarded by Akio, who started following her around like a puppy. Hello Rayne! Even sooooo early in the morning you still look stunning as always". At that she smiled, replying with a kind, "Good morning, Akio." she made sure not to get wrapped up in his compliments, which he doled out to all the girls daily. "You know what I have thought about? We have never really spend any time with each other, and I was thinking we should go on a job together. Just think about it with my light magic and your shadow magic we will be an unstoppable team!!!!" she paused to think about that for a moment. Their magic powers combined would be a very interesting combination. She was about to reply, when Sapphira somehow face planted right next to them.

Akio reached down before she could react, and helped her up. He had already forgotten about his quest to team up with Rayne for a job, and was now asking Sapphira. He was slathering compliments on her as well, and it seemed to be working. Oh well, at least Akio seemed to be a good person at heart. With an amused smile, she left the two to their conversation, and went to go get food. She piled her plate high and returned to the hall. As she passed by the mission board, her eyes quickly scanned over the available jobs. They were mostly C-class jobs, a few B-class, A-class, and S-class. Her gaze caught the flyer of two SS-class jobs, and she grinned. One day, she would get stronger and complete SS-class missions.

As she went over to a table, she caught sight of Veronica and Jien, wondering what the two were up to. Her thoughts were interrupted as she sat down once more with Tatsou, and saw that Armin was there was well. "Ah, good morning Armin," she greeted with a smile. She began eating, enjoying the food on her plate. "So, what are you two up to this morning?

Tatsou actually smiled at Armin's response. He seemed really excited that Tatsou wanted to team up with him. After a slight pause Armin suggested that that they go over and get a mission before all of the good missions were taken. Before Tatsou had much of a chance to reply he was again joined by Rayne. It seemed that she'd gotten her food. As she sat she happily greeted Armin and asked what he and Tatsou were up to this morning.

Tatsou tried to smile again and actually greet Rayne this time. "Good morning Rayne. Armin and I were going to team up to take on a 'B' class mission today. Would you be interested in teaming up with us?" He smiled again thinking in the back of his head. 'I can't believe how excited Armin was to team up with me. Now if I'm lucky I'll have two partners. I'm finally starting to make some friends! Adalinda would be so proud of me if she could see me!'

"Ah, good morning Armin."

Before Tatsou had replied to Armin's suggestion to go to the mission board, Rayne had found a place to sit down across from them with a plate of food and greeted him with a smile before helping herself to her breakfast.

"Good morning, Rayne."

"Good morning!" Armin said with his usual smile, turning back around to face the dark-haired girl.

"So, what are you two up to this morning?"

Armin sat down next to Tatsou again and placed his hands in his lap, smiling politely as the Dragon Slayer explained what the two of them were planning to do. It was when Tatsou questioned if Rayne would be interested in joining them that his expression turned into a curious one. As far as Armin could tell from the time he's been at the guild, Tatsou's never really been the kind to ask anyone to go on a mission with him. But now he's asked not only Armin but Rayne as well? It was nice really. Perhaps Armins's assumption that maybe Tatsou was just shy was correct after all.

The blonde smiled and stood up, placing his hands on the table in front of him and leaning towards Rayne slightly. "What do you say Rayne? You don't have an official team yet either, right?" He paused a moment before shaking his head a couple of times, "N-not that I'm saying that we could be a team or anything! Nothing like that! But it wouldn't hurt to all go on a mission together just once, yeah? What do you think, Rayne, Tatsou?" He said, his face moving from Rayne and then to Tatsou as he said their names.

Suddenly there was a small thump sound behind him and he turned his neck, noticing that a small child had somehow strolled in and bumped right into the bar counter before landing on his rump. Armin blinked curiously, trying to recall if he'd seen this child at the guild before. No, he'd made sure to introduce himself to everyone in the guild when first coming here, so he'd remember if this child was a member or not. He continued to watch him, guessing that he was probably a boy, as he sat herself down a couple tables away from them and instantly fell asleep.

"Uhm...is that child...a customer maybe? I've never seen him in here before." Armin kept his head turned and eyes on the child for a few seconds before turning his head to look at Tatsou and Rayne.
