[ General Description ]
Rin is a well-built and healthy looking woman who stands at a respectable five feet and eight inches tall. Her build is one of someone who eats healthily and gets just enough exercise to stay in relatively good shape, though certainly not an athlete by any means. Her skin is a bit on the paler side, giving the accurate portrayal of someone who prefers to spend their time indoors. Rin also bears no easily visible scars nor tattoos, though it looks like her right ear was pierced some time long ago and has since healed over.

The near black strands of Rin's hair are often kept in simple styles but are prone to changing frequently. When she's working or studying she often ties her hair up in a ponytail which, accompanied by the rather stern expression she wears while working, typically serves to give her a much more mature appearance. Most other times however she simply leaves it down to do as it pleases, only taking care to fix her bangs. Every few months or so however when her hair reaches a certain length, she cuts it rather short before letting it grow out once more.

Her typical style of clothing is a bit plain, rarely flashy and often on the safe side with a preference for looser fitting shirts and coats along with dresses or skirts as opposed to tight pants or shorts. She strays away from loud colors or patterns, preferring more reserved tones of grays, whites, blacks, deep navy blues, or most commonly green. One commonality among her appearance no matter the circumstance are her trademark red glasses which she only seems to take off when she's sleeping.

[ Likes ]
Books || "What's not to love? Books are wonderful, amazing things... And, well, I could go on forever, so I'll leave it at that."
Libraries || "And what's better than a book? A building full of them!"
Learning/Discovering new things || "To expand one's mind and knowledge should be the goal and joy of any scholar."
Glasses || "Well... I guess I just like the way they look on people."
The color green || "Something about the color always seems to put me at ease."
Helping others || "Seeing others smile because of something I've done feels wonderful, and I think the world could do with a bit more kindness."
Owls || "Aren't they cute?!"

[ Dislikes ]
x Getting wet || "Such a pain... Having wet hair or clothes is so uncomfortable, not to mention the damage water can do to a book."
x Alcohol || "I'm uh... What they call a lightweight."
x Liars || "Human societies and relationships are built on trust and honesty, if you ask me, betraying that is just awful."
x Cooking || "If you must know... It's because I'm a horrid cook. Always have been and my Pa would never let me hear the end of it."
x Vegetables || "Erm... Well... It's a bit embarrassing to admit as an adult but, I really can't stand vegetables."

[ Strengths ]
Intelligence || Rin has always been a curious soul and a pursuer of knowledge with an ability to soak up new information quickly and efficiently. Being at home in libraries of all shapes and sizes, Rin has become an adept researcher with an eye for picking out the right book for the job.
Linguist || In her pursuit of knowledge Rin has picked up more than a few languages and has a knack for acquiring new ones easily.
Strong-willed || Rin holds to her beliefs with passion and determination, once she's set her mind to do something it's very hard to convince her to stop or to give up.
Perfect pitch || Ever since she was very young Rin could always identify and reproduce musical notes without error.

[ Weaknesses ]
Easily embarrassed/flustered || It's not hard to get under Rin's skin and get her blushing or flustered, even on accident.
Gullible || Rin often takes people and the things they say at face value, trusting that most people are honest. She has a hard time reading others or picking up on deception pointed in her direction.
Her glasses || Not only does she have very poor eyesight without her glasses, but she is very protective of them which can cause her quite a bit of stress in the event that they are lost or damaged.
Sweets || Rin absolutely can not resist sweets of any sort (though her favorite is definitely chocolate cake). Such foods can often be used as a bribe or reward to get her to do just about anything.

[ Personality ]
When first meeting Rin, she gives off the impression of someone who's a bit shy and quiet, the type of reserved girl who keeps to herself inside with a book. While this impression isn't totally inaccurate, those who spend a bit more time around her and who she becomes comfortable with come to see another side of her. A vibrant, passionate, and kind woman with an endearing and genuine smile who revels in the company of those she considers her friends and family within Fairy Tail. Though she sometimes need a bit of prodding from those around her, Rin can be very outgoing, energetic, and sociable, contrary to her rather bookwormish appearance and tendencies.

Rin is also quite studious in nature. Born with an indomitable curiosity of the world around her and an intensely inquisitive nature, she seeks to learn and discover new things at any and every opportunity. This unquenchable thirst for knowledge is what birthed the girl's love for books and libraries which lives on strong to this very day. Rin has always been dedicated to her pursuits of knowledge and is a very hard worker when the situation calls for it, possessing the ability to be serious and stern despite her typically jovial nature. It can sometimes be hard to break her free from this mindset once she's set in and it is often quite taxing on the girl's energy and emotions.

Ever since she was young Rin was never the best at dealing with her emotions calmly or reasonably. Always quick to blush and become flustered when confronted with anything that made her feel even the slightest bit embarrassed, Rin is a woman who wears her emotions on her sleeve and who couldn't deceive her way out of a wet paper bag. When a thought or emotion makes her uncomfortable her usual response is to simply avoid the subject, and as a result has a hard time being totally honest with her feelings, particularly when it comes to someone she might be attracted to.

Image[ History ]
Rin's history is not a noteworthy one, the only child of her father the baker and her mother the florist, her childhood and life growing up was quite quaint and happy. Always a daddy's girl, Rin gave her all in order to please her parents, in particular her father, and was overjoyed at any praise she received for her actions. Being the bookworm she was, Rin didn't make many friends among the other children, her friends were her books and her playground the library. The local librarian became something of a mentor and teacher to her, and would eventually be the one to teach Rin her magic.

Between her time spent learning what she could, helping her parents with their work, and practicing her magic, Rin had little time for much else. Her life moved at a slow, but enjoyable pace like this for several years. Slowly but surely however her curiosity and desire to see more of the world grew, there was so much she had read and heard about all sorts of things out in the world, but she had never experienced any of them. After spending much time considering her options, she decided to join Fairy Tail, and though her parents were naturally worried, they sent their daughter off proudly to pursue her dreams. Though Rin's time in Fairy Tail has been fairly short up to this point, she's enjoyed every moment of it and has no regrets leaving her old life behind.

Surprisingly enough, Rin had managed to find her way to her room before falling asleep, she had spent the last few nights simply sleeping in the library and it was beginning to become a bit unbearable on her back. As she laid sprawled out on her bed in perhaps the most ungraceful pose imaginable the morning sun's rosy fingers began to creep in through the windows, causing Rin to stir slightly. After a few moments spent trying to resist the call of consciousness and the light that began to invade her vision Rin slowly sat up in her bed and with a big yawn stretched her arms up into the air. She reached over to grab her signature red glasses from their case on her bedside table and placed them gently on to her face as she stared out the window.

It was a beautiful morning. The sky was clear and blue and bright, and even from inside her room Rin could hear the birds outside singing their pretty little songs. Rin gave a contented sigh as she sat in comfort atop her bed, gazing out on the wonderfu- *TAP* Rin let out a shriek as something ran headlong into her window, causing the girl to topple back over on her bed in surprise, nearly slipping off the edge and on to the wood floor. With her heart racing Rin quickly sat up and looked back at the window, "A-A... Bird?" Ever so slowly and cautiously Rin leaned in towards the window and sure enough the small white creature popped up into view again and began to tap at the window once more.

Rin adjusted her glasses as she inspected the thing from behind the pane of glass and realized it was a folded paper plane. Feeling a bit silly at how startled she had been by the harmless paper creature she reached over and opened up her window, allowing the message to finally reach its destination as it slowly floated down on top of her bed. Gently, she unfolded the paper unable to shake the slightly sad feeling and thought that this piece of paper was so animated and full of life just a moment ago. As her eyes scanned the contents of the note quickly, they lit up and a smile quickly formed on her lips.

It had been nearly a week and a half since Rin had been to town so it was nice to see it again. Seeing all the people bustling about with their work so early in the day was pleasant and Rin couldn't help but smile at the children who ran by playing. She had plenty of time to get to the station but Rin wanted to get there early, after all she hadn't eaten breakfast yet and it didn't seem far fetched that the others might not have either. So, on her way there she had stopped by a bakery and picked up a small box of assorted donuts and a bag that held four apples as she felt a bit bad about the idea of just eating donuts for breakfast.

Finally, she arrived at the train station and once inside it didn't take long to pick the pink Aina out from the crowd. With a smile she approached the girl, "Good morning Aina." She held the bag and box up into view, "I hadn't eaten breakfast yet so I figured I'd bring some food for all of us to share... I hoped anyway. If everyone's already eaten I don't think I'll be able to finish all this off by myself, heh." She gave a sort of nervous laugh and smile as she held the box of donuts up and in Aina's direction, "Take whichever you want. And oh! Thank you for going through the trouble of preparing all of this for us, you didn't need to do that but I really do appreciate it, I'm sure the others do too." With a nod and a warm smile in the girl's direction she added, "I also snuck a few extra books out of the library in case we run out of stuff to read on the road."

Kidemonas woke up when he felt something tap the side of his head. He was up from where he had been sitting in an instant, sword in hand. What was going on? Were they under attack?

Then he realized that, one, he was still on the roof of the Guild Hall; two, he'd fallen asleep up here and was stiff from sleeping slumped over his legs; and three, the thing that had tapped his head was a paper airplane. He picked it up and read the note. He smiled. She was definitely helpful to have around. Stretching his body out a bit, Kidemonas started walking. The train left in two and a half hours, the note had said. Kidemonas needed to pack.

He walked down Magnolia's main street, backpack hanging from his shoulders, looking for something to eat. Finding a small street-side stand that was selling fresh fruit, Kidemonas bought a pair of apples, and kept walking down the street.

He looked around as he made his way towards the station. It had been a while since he'd last been in Magnolia, and he took the opportunity to look around and take it all in. It was nice to see children playing in the streets so freely.

He made his way to the station in good time. Upon arrival, a quick scan of the area let him spot where Aina and Rin were standing. He walked over to them, smiling. "Good morning, you two. Ready for the day?"

M. must have fallen asleep,as he woke up to Minor nudging his face with a slightly crumpled paper plane in her mouth. He rolled over so he was laying on his stomach and read the note. He smiled and felt grateful for Aina's preparation. Although that would mean that they have indirectly depleted her supply of jewels. His face fell with this realization.

He rolled off and began packing some things he would need. packed some books, his sword and a gourd of liquid. He ruffled his hair, and with Minor on his heels, he walked briskly towards the train station.

He arrived right when Kidemonas was conversing with Aina and Rin. He strolled up to them.

"Hello everyone, glad to see everyone ready and refreshed. Although i'm a tad concerned for this early departure as the Master has asked for our presence later," he looked over Kidemonas with a concerned look. "Yet he hasn't arrived yet, I suppose it's too late to reconsider." he finished with a smile.

Aina glanced up, hearing a voice calling her name. It looked like Rin was the first one to show up, as the bespectacled bookworm swiftly approached, holding a bag of breakfast treats. Aina gazed forlornly at the sack containing what her nose quickly helped her determine was delicious donuts - perhaps the greatest breakfast pastry known to man! But those were not for her. Those were Rin's donuts, and even if the young magus was deeply envious of her compatriot's marvelous selection of delectable delights, she would restrain herself.

Until, that is, the librarian said she'd gotten plenty for everyone, and and proffered the box. Aina didn't need to think twice.

"Really?" She asked, a joyous smile breaking out across her face. "In that case, thank you very much!" Wasting no time, she hastily reached into the box and laid hold of the most brightly colored, sickeningly-sweet-looking pastry of the entire selection, and raising it to her face with the same reverence as a woman in prayer, gobbled it down without delay, grinning like a child in a candy shop the whole while. In a few quick bites, the entire pastry vanished completely, the only evidence it had ever existed the uncharacteristically chipper smile on the otherwise melancholy, quiet girl's face.

"Eh?" She asked, snapping back to reality from her treat-induced reverie as Rin began to thank her rather profusely for her efforts. Granted, she had spent pretty much all of her savings, meager though they were, gathering supplies for this mission, but still, it was the least she could do considering how much of a burden her presence would inevitably be on such an advanced quest. "It's no problem at all," She said quickly, her grin slowly fading as her usual timid demeanor began to slip back into plain sight. "It was the least I could do for you all, since you let me come along and all..." She trailed off. Nobody had ever actually approached her before and asked her to join them. How rude would she have been had she not done them this basic courtesy in exchange for their generous offer?

Fortunately, before Rin could question her logic, the other two swiftly arrived in quick succession. Aina rose, bowing to greet them, this time remembering to hold her cap as she did so, and nodding slightly to herself once she had raised her head, seeming proud that she'd remembered. "G-Good morning Mr. Kidemonas, Mr. Ursa!" She greeted in a tone as close to enthusiastic welcome as a quiet girl such as herself could manage. However, this nervous welcome soon faded, replaced by bashful guilt as M. mentioned that he had a meeting with the guild master he was missing because of her arrangements.

"Oh no..." She murmured, gazing at the ground in shame. "I'm so sorry! I should have checked before I bought the tickets. I was trying to save money and they were on sale and I didn't want to bother you and I ended up being inexcusably selfish!" Bowing again, she narrowly managed to catch her hat before it fell once again to the ground, and ended up partially hiding her face behind it as though that would somehow protest her from the guilt she was feeling. Yet again, she'd tried to be of use, and as usual, she'd just ended up causing trouble for somebody. It was a sad testament to her poor abilities at coordination and cooperation that she was actually getting used to this crestfallen feeling.

"There is no need to worry." His voice has a warm aura around it that gives you a comforting feeling. "You did not know and it was my fault for not informing you. There is no use in blaming everyone now, and you truly are an asset in this mission. I thank thee again for your kindness in buying the ticket and supplies." He felt bad that he, once again, caused Aina worry and made her look down upon herself. Maybe he should go back to talking less.

He hoped that she would soon see that she's indeed a great help. M. turned to the others with a cordial smile.

"Greetings Rin and Kidemonas, it's great to see that you're both ready to go. This might take a while so bringing some food really is a good idea. I hope there isn't much of a hassle to finish the quest."

Rin smiled brightly as the girl happily took a donut from the small box and munched it down with surprising speed. With a quiet giggle Rin took a seat at her side and pulled a simple glazed donut for herself, she once again moved the box towards the girl, "You can have some more if you'd like. I bought plenty." With that she set the open box down between them and stretched out her arms and legs. "And ya know... It's not like we're just -letting- you come along, we all want you to be here and I'm certain we'll need to rely on your skills at some point, so have a bit more faith in yourself. Plus, I'm not an S-rank mage either, so we'll both just have to give it our all and try to use our unique talents as best we can."

She gave a nod and reached into the bag she had been carrying to retrieve a shiny red and yellow apple from it before biting into it with a loud crunch. It was at about this time that the other two had arrived and as Rin finished up her apple she gave them a nod in greeting. Once they were finished speaking what they had to say she picked up the box and held it up towards them both, "Please take some if you're hungry, I bought plenty... Oh! I also have some apples if you'd prefer something a bit healthier."

Rin gave a quick glance around the station, "So when exactly is it that we're going to be departing? I'm quite eager to get moving." She took a glance at Aina hoping the change in subject might help the dejected looking girl cheer up some. She wasn't sure why, but something about the small pink girl standing near her made Rin want to just pat her on the head and try to cheer her up.

"If it's not a problem, then..." Aina trailed off. "Still, I should have asked you beforehand. I'm terribly sorry." The young magus bowed deeply once again, but seemed to have calmed down somewhat, deeply relieved that she hadn't accidentally thrown the plans of the others into disarray. Rin might have said she would be a useful asset on the mission, but Aina, with her lack of field experience, wasn't so sure about that. She just hoped she didn't weigh the others down - if she did, she would never have been able to forgive herself, as she knew full well she'd basically thrust her request to join upon them. For all she knew, they might have just been humoring her out of pity. Even so, that mattered little. If they weren't, then she didn't intend to change their minds now, and if they were only allowing her along because they figured she needed the help to get anything done, then she would just have to prove them wrong.

Still, that was a task easier spoken of than accomplished, and Aina wasn't so sure she could meet up to the possibly-nonexistent expectations of the others, let alone achieve her own aspirations.

"So when exactly is it that we're going to be departing? I'm quite eager to get moving." The sudden question snapped the melancholy rune mage back to attention, causing her to quickly check both the tickets in her pockets and the large clock hung over the nearby train tracks.

"Oh! Umm... The train will be leaving in about... umm... thirty minutes, it looks like. I think it's the one that just pulled in two platforms down. Oh, right! Here are everyone's tickets." Quickly reaching into one of her many pockets, she withdrew four tickets, handing one to each in turn with a rather comically respectful half-bow given to each as she extended the ticket like an offering. It seemed she wasn't one to skimp on her manners, in any case. Remembering Rin's apparent impatience, she quickly returned to the bench upon which her shopping bag was placed, giving a quiet murmur of exertion as she raised the heavy bag with both hands. She was a rather frail, small person, and it wasn't easy for her to haul large objects of any sort, even if they weren't all that heavy by other people's standards. Slightly ashamed of herself for appearing so weak in the eyes of three of her peers, she flushed, and reached into her book, quickly withdrawing a small slip of paper and pasting it to the side of the bag, a few bright violet runes appearing on its surface. "The bag these runes are affixed to will follow me," She commanded, and then hastily released the now-floating bag, sucking back in her breath with a satisfied sigh as she turned to face the others. "Umm, if everyone else is ready, I'm all set to go," She added quickly, not wanting to delay them for her sake if all of the others wished to leave.

Kidemonas accepted his ticket with a quick "Thank you," and returned the bow that Aina gave him, making it quick so that he wouldn't fluster the girl. She'd gone through a lot of time and money in order to put this whole thing together, and it was only fair that Kidemonas acknowledge that. When he saw her start to struggle with the heavy bag, he made a move to help her, but she quickly solved that problem herself. For all of her misgivings about herself, Kidemonas believed that she was a very capable girl. Perhaps this mission would show her that.

"Umm, if everyone else is ready, I'm all set to go."
Kidemonas nodded, and adjusted the backpack on his shoulders. Inside were a few general supplies that he'd assembled over his own travels: tinderbox, flint and steel, canteen, some medical tape and herbs, and a whetstone. There was also a pen, inkwell, and leather-bound book inside. He'd discovered years ago that writing down important information could save lives later on.

M. accepted the tickets with a bow of his head. She was a very well mannered, albeit easily flustered girl. He was glad that she could come with them on the mission. He was glad for all of them actually. He was awkward around people and he was glad that they offered to help him.

'It would help them specially with her book and knowledge, Rin also seems to be adept in that department. Kidemonas and I could help, yet provide protection all the same. This team looks right for the mission.' M. smiled and picked up Minor. 'It's good that i'm meeting new people. Maybe i can have a partner or a team after this.'

M. looks towards his companions with a pleasant smile. "I am also ready to embark on the journey. I hope none of us forgot anything important."
