Autumn awoke with a terrible headache. She looked around the lavishly decorated room. She was laying on a large white, queen-sized canopy bed adorned with beautiful decorative pillows. The walls were painted a beautiful shade of lavender, Autumn's favorite color. This was her dream bedroom. I room that existed only in her mind and yet every detail was exactly from her imagination. She was dressed in unfamiliar clothing, a pink tank top and black shorts. "Where am I?" she thought.
Suddenly she became very frightened because she couldn't remember anything.

"Think, Autumn! What is the last thing you remember...." She tried hard to think back as far as she could.

With great difficulty, Autumn remembered getting into the car with her mother, father, and younger brother to go out for a birthday dinner for her brother Andrew who was turning 14. She faintly remembered eating dinner and getting back in the car to go home but after that she couldn't remember anything.

It was then that Autumn noticed the bandage on her forehead. "I must have hit my head..." Autumn realized "By I still don't know where I am or where my family is or how I got here..."

Unsure of what to do and in too much pain to move, Autumn did the only thing she could think to do...cry.

The dark angel switched his appearance, hid his wings then slowly opened the door.He heard from outside that he was crying so he came in the room to see if she woke..After he entered, he closed the door and came near then sat on the free spot from the bed.

"Don't cry.You are safe now."

Nate looked at her and put her a small bag of ice on her forehead.He was dressed in ussual human clothes so he looked quite normal, except the scar beneath his left eyed.He couldn't cover it with anything.It was a birth mark..He turned arounf and got outside the room very fast then slammed the door.He walked into a big kitchen and jumped on the table then took from a big wooden spiral a box with meds.He choosed the right one, then throw the box exactly where he founded.After he was exiled from the dark angels community he began to know how the things worked in human world..He quickly got back in the room and approached the girl.He tried his best angel smile then said:

"Are you ok?Look, take this.The pain will dissapear...You were almost dying in there.."

Then put the meds on the small table near the bed..He didn't know how to explain that her hole family was dead now, so he kept himself quiet for a while.He throw himself on a chair and began starring at the walls.He created the house with the girl's imagination, and he was amazed by her imagination.Nate look again at the girl and saw she was scared and was aaking questio, but her remained frozen.Later, he said to himself but kept his atention to the beautiful gir.It was a beautiful girl indeed..He bit his lips and sighed.He knew what will happen next.After he wil tell her what happened, she will get crazed and he will get a head ache.Even if he liked this girl, he was still a dark angel, and humans were so annoying at times with crying and such things.So immature..He tried to remember if he cried, and no, he didn't cry.He had friends, that were girls, and they never cried to.It seemed that only humans were like that..

Autumn looked at him startled. A thousand thoughts raced through her head. Mostly questions about wo this man was. Why she was here. Where her family was. It seemed as if he knew something but did not want her to know. The pain in her head was mostly gone but the ache in her heart was not. Autumn knew there was something very wrong. Her heart told her not to trust this man...this incredibly handsome man...but her heart told her differently. She wondered if the man meant her harm but suddenly she knew he didn't. He had been caring for her. She knew it in her heart. Autumn stopped crying and examined her caregiver.

He was handsome to say the least...his dark hair framed his face and covered one eye making him appear very mysterious. Adding to his mysterious appearence was a scar under his left eye and Autumn wondered how he got the scar. As she studied him she began to forget that she was in a strange place with a man she didn't know and no recollection of how she got there. She instantly trusted him.

Autumn's mother always worried that her trusting nature would bring her harm. Autumn had always believed the best about people. Even from a young age her mother would find her making conversation with complete strangers in the grocery store and would remind her to "never talk to strangers." That never worked with Autumn. She wanted to see the good in humanity so she simply ignored the bad in it.

The man turned to look at Autumn again and found her looking at him. "What is your name?" she asked.

He catched her eyes then smiled.Nathaniel approached her and put a wooden chair near the bed.

"I am Nathaniel.Nathaniel Vanns.You can call me Nate, sweetheart.I suppose, you want to know what happened, right?Well, I was walking outside to the city and I saw the accident.A big car hit your car then...both car crashed.I called the police but you could've died, if I wasnt in there.I am sorry..I tried to save your family, but believe me, it was too late.Then, seeing that the ambulance didn't come, I took you at my place.You where barely alive when I picked you from the ground and you were screaming about someone called Andrew.Maybe your boyfriend.Anyway, it doesn't matter.Just, please, don't cry.I tried..but they were allready..you know..dead.I am so sorry."

Nate looked on the ground and sighed.Now, expected screaming and crying but before she could do that, he got up from the chair and went near the door.

"I am in the kitchen, I leave you alone for some minutes.When you are ok, come.I will call at delivery for some food.I am sorry again.."

He closed silently the door then went again in the kitchen.Instead calling for food he took from a big fridge a bag from MCDonalds thentook his new Iphone from his pocket and picked a photo from gallery.In the photo, a bunch of tasty, fatfood, were aranged on a big plastic plate.Before he could do anything he checked the room, and after he was sure there was nobody who could see him, he put his fingers one by one on the photo and whipered something in an unknown language.Dinner was ready.Now as he looked at the bah, it was full with food and from it, a strong smell came from it.But he wondered if he could eat human food without feeling bad, but he will see after he will eat.This, if the girl was calmed and ready to come to him.While he waiting for her, he wanted to listen to human music, so he turned the radio from the table.....

Autumn laid there shocked as Nate told her what happened. Her whole family...gone. She wanted to cry but she was so shocked she couldn't. Nate left the room and she sat there thinking about how she would never see her family again...about her brother who bearly got to experience anything in his short life and tears finally fell down her cheeks. She never imagined she would be without her family. They had always been close. If there was a such thing as a perfect family Autumn probably had it. Her parents had been married for 22 years and they were still very much in love. Sure, they had their arguements but they always worked everything out and Autumn loved her little brother. They would tease each other like brothers and sisters did and Andrew could be annoying at times just like all little brothers but they were best friends. They told each other everything. Autumn couldn't imagine not sharing secrets with him ever again.

After 15 minutes of deep thought and a steady stream of tears down her face, Autumn quit had calmed down, interupted by a growling in her stomach. She wiped the tears from her face with a nearby tissue and debated with herself about if she should go down to the kitchen with Nate. Another loud growl and the pains of hunger silenced any doubts Autumn had about leaving her room and she began to make her way downstairs. The hallways and the lower floor were just as beautiful decorated as the room she had been in and Autumn thought how odd it was that a man owned this house because the decor was very feminine. "Maybe he has a girlfriend," Autumn thought. "Or judging by the size of this house he is probably very wealthy. Maybe he hired an interior designer."

After some difficulty navigating the large house Autumn found Nate sitting at the table listening to music. She sat down beside him. "Andrew isn't my boyfriend" Autumn explained. "He is....was...my brother."

Nate was deep into his thoughts when he heard the girl downstairs.He wondered how she could found the kitchen in this huge house, but smiled at her whe she sat near him at the table.He got up and went near a buffet and too two silver plate and a pack of napkins then put yhem on the table.Then, he pushed the bag with food from "McDonald"closer to them.Nate put almost all the food in front of her, and he just kept a small salad.He didn't want to try human food but then she would suspect him so he had no way.Nate began eating his food wjen she said that Andrew was her brother..Ups!

"So, what's your name?And how old are you?"

He asked her, the got of the chair to take a black bag.He got back on his place and gave the bag to the girl..He almost felt that he was going to throw off, all the salad so he quickly went to the nearest bathroomHow could human eat something like that!he thought..When he was back in the kitche he saw the girl looking curious at the bag he gaved her.So he needed to explain her what was in there...

"There are some of your stuff I think.I got them, before police could take them.There's a phone, some bracelets, and other stuff.You can see it after you eat.Or you can do whatever you want.I am not your dad, so..do what what you want.And I think we are at the same age."

He tried to smile but he didn't know if she would be happy because of her old staff.Oh, god!Maybe he will sart to cry again..No....

Autumn began to eat the food he had given her. She was starving. She glanced at Nate as he ate his salad. It seemed to make him sick and he looked as if he was forcing himself to eat it. She thought about how odd that was as she ate her chicken nuggets. "Why would someone force themselves to eat food that they didn't like," Autumn wondered.

Lost in her thoughts, Autumn bearly heard Nate ask her name and age. "Oh. My name is Autumn." She said with a smile. "Autumn Rose Kennedy. I am 19."

Nate handed her a black bag and explain that the things inside were her belongings. She looked though the bag. Her cell phone. The charm bracelet her parents had given her for her high school graduation and various other items. She was glad she was able to keep some of her old things. It was nice knowing not everything from her past was gone completely. She clasped the bracelet around her tiny wrist and examined the charms. The first charm was a heart, representing her parents love for her, the second was a graduation cap, the third was a kitten, Autumn's favorite animal, the forth was was a sapphire, her birthstone, and final charm was a little red and white nursing cap that her parents gave her when she started nursing school.

Autumn looked up and Nate after examining her things. "Thank you for saving this. It's very special to me," She said smiling up at him, her eyes, looking like sparkling violet gemstones in the soft kitchen lights.

Nate dodded politely to her then smiled.Autumn, cute name..After he thought about that he realized he forgot something.Oh, that's right.!!He was an idiot!He forgot Dex outside.His little new puppy(he found him at a pet shop and the part of good angel for him, made Nate buy that dog.)was outside in the garden for more then two hours.He quickly got up and excused himself;

"Sorry, I will come in a minute.I have to do something.Please throw the rests in the trash.Thanks."

He screamed that the girl could hear him and he got outside the house.The weather was cold and the clouds where dark.What's going on heaven now?, he thought while he was looking for Dex.Fortunately, he found him playing with a toy so Nate took him in his hands and walked back inside.When they were in the warm house, Nate patted the dog on his fur.He started to like this dog..He went in the kitchen, still with Dex in his hands and said smiling:

"Autumn, let me present my dog Dex."

While I was saying that, the little dog, jumped on the table and approached Autumn.He got his tounge outside and started barking...

"I suppose he likes you."

Autumn's face lit up when she saw the adorable puppy. She had always loved animal this is dog was by far, the cutest puppy she had ever seen. Autumn petted Dex's fluffy fur and giggled as he licked her face.

"He is adorable!" Autumn exclaimed.

Autumn sat Dex in her lap and then realized that she had never ask Nate his age. He appeared to be about her age but it was hard to tell sometimes. "I never asked your age." Autumn pointed out as she again studied his tall, handsome frame.

His beauty seemed impossible...even supernatural. She studied every detail of his muscular body before she realized that she had been checking him out. Never in Autumn's life had she looked at a guy so closely. She began to realize that she was attracted to her mysterious savior and began to blush brightly.

"Hmm, and the owner of the pup?Do you say nothing??I feel offensed!"

Nate looked at the girl and laughed.She seemed to like the pup and that was good.Dex will have a new friend who can play with it! Nate frowned when she asked him about his age, though..He remained frozen, and questioned himself.He was two hundred fifteen, but of course he couldn't say that to Autumn so he replied calmly looking at her beautiful face:

"Well, 19.Almost 20.Hey, let's go for a walk .I am sure Dex will like that, hehe!Let me take his collar and leash then we can go."

He said that and got upstairs in a few seconds jumping on the wooden stairs.He looked into his room and found the dog's things then came back to Autumn.She was in love with his pup and she was sticked by him with glue.How cute, he thought and approach the two and he took Dex from her.He tried to put the leather things on Dex but beeing an dark angel, he didn't know how.Nate looked ath Autumn and asked her:

"Umm, can you please help me?It is the first dog I ever had so it is a little complicated."

He looked at her again and felt something strange.He was fascinated by her beauty her movements, all.She was so different then others humans he had met.Somehow, now he was feeling bad for lying her so much.But he couldn't say nothing to her , so he just silently waited for her responce.

Autumn smiled at him. "You are pretty cute too."

She was glad to hear that he was her age. That made her feel less embarassed about finding him attractive. She was excited to go outside again. Autumn loved the outdoors. Especially flowers. Her favorite flowers were jasmine. The meaning behind Jasmine is grace and elegance. Graceful and elegant. That is what Autumn wanted to be though she doubted anyone would ever be able to use either of those words to describe her. She had been called pretty before but she never saw it. Autumn didn't see herself the way others saw her. She was much too modest recognize her own beauty.

Autumn giggled when Nate told her he had never had a dog and she took the leash and collar on the puppy and stood up, excited to smell fresh air again.

"Where are we going to walk to?" Autumn ask.

"We are going in a small forest where you can't go with the car.I bet you will like it in there.And there are som chairs too.We can sit and talk.."

Nate looked at the dark clouds upon him and sighed.Oh, how much he wanted to be in there..But, no, he had to think at something else, because he didn't want Autumn torealize he was sad.He tried his best angelic smile and then asked her:

"Uh, so do you have other relatives, to announce them about what had happened.You know, you were very lucky in there.When I found you, you where unconcious and almost dead...I tried my best to keep you alive but your parents were dead allready...But..I have to tell you something, but don't panic.I couldn't see your brother..And the police said that this was a murder and a kidnapp.So, maybe you are lucky and he is still alive, but I can't be sure about that...And the police let stay with me till they find the criminal, this of course if you want..."

After he said that to her, he noticed they entered in the forest.He took a deep breath of air and prepared for her reaction..
