Welcome to Wonderland

You being with a letter at your door, it invites you to a party. You aren't often invited to a party at the Hatter's house so you are intrigued...

' Dear _____________
You are invited to a tea Party at the Hatter and Hare's house
Please do bring cake
Yours forever Mad
Marsha Hare'

Image Welcome to our Home.....

Marsha Hare

Marsha had kept herself busy for most of the morning, brewing tea and making cakes and cleaning with Skippy clinging to her back. For some reason a party was being held, though Marsha could not really remember the reason why. However, the thought of seeing the other Wonderlander's excited her, though she hoped it would not put too much strain on Jamie... as they had invited the Queen too.

As she polished a huge red tea pot, Skippy stirred and squeeked in his dreams. She carefully took him from her back and put him onto a soft tea cup shaped arm chair.

'Jamie' she called ' You ready?'

And with that the small mouse began to stir, so she gently cooed him whilst pouring a cup of tea for herself and the Hatter.

OOC: Alise I have not included you as you need to fall down the rabbit hole :)

Jamie opened 'his' eyes at the sound of his name. Looking around, he realized he'd fallen asleep again. Letting out a giggle, he sat up realizing he was on the floor of his bedroom. Why hadn't he slept on his bed? Shrugging, he got up and went to the kitchen, smelling tea and sweets. "Ooooh Marsha! Do we have cake? I am awfully hungry," he called out in a sing song tune as he pulled out his pocket watch, holding it up to his ear to listen to the familiar 'tick' of the clock. Upon hearing it, Jamie smiled widely and stepped into the kitchen.
Seeing many assortments of cakes, Jamie's smile widened even more and he grabbed a random sweet, starting to nibble on it. "And what do you mean 'ready'?" he asked tilting his head to the side, not sure what she meant. Right now, he was in an overly big black T-shirt and red pants, also known as his pjs.
Then it clicked, and he began giggling. "Tea time! Whose coming this time? White rabbit? Cheshire? Oh, do tell!" he yelled, taking a seat on the counter and swinging his legs. During this time, he dropped his watch and it fell to the floor, cracking the glass. Opening his mouth, the hatter prepared to scream at the top of his lungs.

Azure eyed the letter quizzically, Who on earth would want her to come to their party? her eyes flick down to the bottom to see the sender.
The hare, She nods to herself knowing what to do I'm not going.
"But," She says quietly to herself, lighting her cigarette that was placed delicately in it's respective holder, "If I do not go they may just think I'm ill, but if I do go they'll know I hate them."
So with attending the party in mind she jumps up off her mushroom stool and over to her small mirror looking at herself.
"Oh!" She exclaims "What do I care what they think I look like?" She growls and walks out the door, cigarette still in hand.

She walks out of her small cottage and to the Hare and the Hatter's which is, quite frankly, impossible not to see whereas hers was almost invisible, hidden between trees and vines.

Walking up to the front door she knocks delicately, her knock almost impossible to hear.

"Oi Dan," calls Dean, close to his brothers ear as he pokes him in the ribs "get up we're going to-to-to the, um, the. Oh here." He sighs, giving up and handing him the invite.
Dan takes the letter and quickly reads it.
"Ooo, the Hatter 'n the Hare's house? We have to go, it's been, well, hmm," Dan gives up and sighs, "Too long."

They both nod simultaneously and then grin, "We can bring some of our special blue lemonade."
Dan nods "I'll get the, um, the-"
"Lemonade?" Dean offers, looking down at the word written on his hand.
His brother grins "Yes please." and they go to get a glass each, forgetting the party.

"Oh," says Dan through sips of their special brew "The party."
Dan smiles brightly, glad to have remembered something.
"Best be off." Nods Dean and gets up, grabbing the lemonade and a small tin of butternut cookies.

They leave their house and, eventually, get to the Hatters although they did get lost one, two, three maybe seven times on the way.
Noticing Azure at the door, they decide it's best to hang back for a bit - You never know what kind of a mood she'll be in.

"A letter, your Highness."

Dismissing him with a wave of her hand, the Queen did not bother to get up from her seated position in the grass of her garden. The Deuce of Clubs fumbled with the letter, reading it aloud to her.

"A... party?" Red thoughtfully licked at her fingers which were covered in a sticky red substance. "The Hatter and the Hare, you say? Well. How dreadfully boring." "Perhaps it could be fun?" she said to herself. "If you consider the company of imbeciles to be your idea of 'fun'." "Perhaps I do. I shall go. Ready my carriage."

The Deuce of Clubs stood for a moment, having watched the Queen talking with herself many times before... but should he get the carriage? If she really wanted it; he'd have his heart eaten if she didn't get it... but then, if she didn't want it... she'd kill him for bringing it! With a worried expression, the poor card went to fetch the carriage.

"This is circles, you know." (This is pointless, you know.) "Perhaps... but we never get invited to parties, Queen." "Hmph.. well. Perhaps there will be someone good to eat there." "You mean something good to eat. You're so silly." ".... Yes... that's what I meant..."

Wesley the White Rabbit

It was all too perfect really.
The crossbow was wedged into the rafters above her sitting room, trigger rigged to the rope that threaded expertly down the dark curtains, where Wesley sat, grinning stupidly. His fingers itched to tug the rope of his semi-elaborite contraption. He glanced out from behind the curtain, seeing the Queen, hardly suppressing his sense of accomplishment. Straight through the heart, the arrow would fly, right before his very eyes. She was preparing to go out to the garden, as she often did.But today she wouldn't! Tehe!

Wesley paused just as he was about give the rope a sharp tug. The Queen hadn't really done anything wrong. After all, she'd given him a job, even after his father had abandoned. And she wasn't her mother. So...

The White Rabbit groaned and dropped the rope, just as the woman stood and made her way to the garden. Great.
One of these days he'd just kill her and fix all of Wonderlands problems. Get someone else on the throne.
But oh, he would feel so guilty after! All she's done for him after all. And who really cared about the hearts she ate, so long as it wasn't his! Right?

After a bit of struggle, he got the crossbow out of the rafters, coiled the rope, and settled them in the back corner of his work room. He was the Minister of Time, for lack of better title, and had quite a spacious room to do his work.Even though, he nor the Queen, were really sure what his work was, he did it. The only worthwhile thing he did for the Queen herself was keep her appointments, and send off Decks to deliver letters to her.

Mostly it was filled with drawers and drawers of filing cards, marking the coming and goings of every Wonderland inhabitant, every thing anyone did.
It was a wonder in itself how dear Wesley came upon all this information, but the fact that he had it made him a very valued in formant... well, depending if he was on ones side or not.

The walls of the room were completely covered in cuckoo clocks, and other timepieces. Except for the mailbox wall, which, of course, for mail. Speaking of which-

Wesley hopped over to the mail wall, picking up three new letters. One was addressed to the Queen. He didn't touch it, except to shove it down the mail slot, that would take it to one of the Queens deck, who would then deliver it.
The other was junk, and one was ... to him?
How exciting!

He tore into it- with as much 'tearing' as one could do, after finding a letter opener and carefully extracting the letter- and blinked, adjusting his circular glasses.
A party? With the Hatter and Marsha?
Oh goody!
But- there was no time! When was he to arrive?
Wesley frowned in thought. That was just like that Mad bunch, to not put an arrival time. Well. He would carry about his own business and arrive at noon for cake and tea. And he would certainly not bring his own cake!

Meanwhile though, Welsey had another to check up on.

He supposed it wasn't exactly a healthy infatuation, especially when he was crossing lands so often, but, well, Wesley had to go see her.
He put on his favorite red waist coat, shoved his pocket watch into its pocket and hurried out of the Queens Castle, as fast as he could to the rabbit hole. Quiet fittingly named, as he was the only one who traversed it.

Later, Wesley, in rabbit form of course, (not thinking it odd that his rabbit self was wearing a coat tailed jacket), peered at Alyce Liddell, watching her in childlike amazement. She was more beautiful then her mother, and more interesting as well!

After endlessly practicing her new form of ballet dance routine, Alyce Liddell tuckered herself, sitting beside the tree with a soft flop. She calmed some of her breathing and tried her best to relax. If she was going to do her best at the dance recital she had Saturday coming up, then she had to practice even harder. Alyce was very critical with herself and would push herself to the limit, even if it meant going too far. Besides, Alyce always turned out successful when she worked hard so it wasn't like it was going to kill her. No pain, no gain, they always say!

Alyce was going to take off her ballet shoes and rub her sore feet but something near her stopped and startled her from doing so. Something beside the tree, where she rest, was moving behind the bushes. Alyce turned her head in the direction where the bushes moved, peering slightly nervous at it. "What could that be?", she thought, feeling a little on edge from the rustling of the bush display. Getting up quickly, Alyce walked slowly near the bushes, curiosity getting the better of her. If she was to face her fear of it, she minds well look behind the bushes and confront what might be behind it. Alyce continued to tip-toe quietly over to it, her hands in a slight fist just to be on the safe side, "Who might be there!", she called out loudly.

' Yes love, there are lots and lots of cakes....some of which Skippy baked, probably best to leave those'
Marsha knew that Skippy was probably half asleep whilst making the cakes and would have probably used salt instead of sugar. Though she liked to appease the small mouse boy, so she put his cakes out in any case.
She was very mothering to the little mouse often worrying that Tracey's mood swings would wake him up.

' When I asked if you were ready, I meant ready to entertain our guessed' Marsha said.

At that moment she sensed company and heard the fainest of knocks with her large ears. She took a swig of tea and marched up to the door before....

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

One of Jamie's turns. She ran to him handing out her flask of tea.

Image

Skippy blinked his eyes three times before rousing from his sleep. Only one thing could really wake him and that was Jamie.

He knew the action plan that went along with Jamie's outbursts.... grab the nearest bottle of tea and offer it too him. SO he sleepily ran toward the large multicoloured table in the middle of them room, grabbed a blue flask and one of his homemade caked and handed it out to Jamie.

'Please calm down' he pleased innocently.

Jamie's eyes widened as Marsha and Skippy both offered him tea. Momentarily, he shut up from his fit. Soon after though, he began to tremble and scooted away from them, pressing his back against the wall. They were both handing him tea at the same time, and he wasn't sure which to take. Which one...Which one.. he thought, eyes flickering between flasks of tea. Finally, "Other Jamie" mentally slapped him out of it and Jamie just grabbed both, mumbling something that sounded like thank you.
Taking a sip from one of them, Jamie smiled brightly, acting as if the whole episode had never happened. "Marsha! I think there's someone at the door, don't keep them out there," he half yelled, motioning dramatically to the door. "Hurry!"

Jamie then got up and ran off to his room to change into his normal black and red outfit. When he was down, he half skipped down the stairs while holding both cups of tea he had been given. The tea was splashing everywhere, though, and by the time he was down stairs it was nearly empty.

Wesley the White Rabbit

Wesley was, needless to say, in a bit of a tizzy when Alyce set off in his direction. There was no where to go, short of darting out of the bushes, and she would see him if he did that. He wasn't supposed to let her see him, at least not yet, not until Wonderland was peaceful and he would bring her there and lure her into staying with him and-

"Who might be there!"

He rolled his rabbit eyes, pulling out his watch to check the time as he muttered,
"It's not who might so much as who is, since I am undeniably here."

The watch dropped back into the red pocket as he clamped his rabbit mouth shut, not meaning to say it out loud. His ears tucked down to try and hide himself better, but honestly, as Alyce got closer, he panicked.
There were two obvious solutions Wesley saw. Kill or flee. And he really did adore the girl, so that only left one option.

"ABORT MISSION! ABORT ABORT!"

HIs voice was shrill as he sprinted out of the bush and straight through Alyce's legs, as fast as his bunny legs could take him. Best to get to the rabbit-hole and to Marsha's party before anyone missed him, after all.

Marsha came back to reality as Jamie scuttled off to his room. She headed towards the door and turned the blue door handle up rather than down. The door flung outwards to reveal Azure Pillar who rarely ever showed to the tea parties but Marsha was probably one of the few who did not fear this beautiful creature. In fact she found her annoying and would not be afraid to tell her so if the occasion was to arise.

'' Come in Azure dear, is it one or two sugars in your tea...' she smiled politely, her long brown ears twitching against her pale cheeks. It was at that point she noticed the forgetful twins behind her. Now Marsha liked these two, they often reminded her of Jamie in a way. Dan and Dean always made her laugh and she knew just how they liked there tea.

' Tweedles, how are you both. Please come in, Skippy will be so pleased to see you'
Skippy often liked playing with the twins whilst they were there, even if he did fall asleep half way through a game.
Speaking of falling asleep, the small mouse boy had drifted into dreamland already.

Jamie paused, staying out of sight of the door as Marsha welcomed guests. He didn't know Azure was going to be there, and now he realized everyone would probably be there. Will the queen..he cut off the thought before he could finish t, deciding to let it go. If the queen did come, he'd cross that bridge when they got there. Straightening up slightly, he walked past the door, briefly waving at the twins as he did, and went into the kitchen.
Seeing some cakes, Jamie picked up one that looked like it was more frosting than actually cake and took a bite. As he ate his cake, he began to look for tea too. For some reason, he couldn't seem to find the tea, even though it was sitting in plain sight. "Tea, tea, tea, tea..." he mumbled to himself, searching the area. Only when his face came about two inches from a tea pot did he realize it was there. Letting out a high pitched squeal, Jamie picked up a random empty cup and filled it. "Tea!" he yelled, before taking a sip and then continuing to eat the cake. If someone didn't stop him, he very well would drink all the tea by himself before the rest of the guests even got there.
