Appearance: Yen is a short man who would be of average build if his height were anything like average. However, though his body is very proportional, he is very short. He, of course, looks like what he is -
a ghoul, and so his skin is almost non-existent. You can't quite tell what he used to look like, but a quick examination of his face makes it clear that he is Asian of some sort. His brown eyes are unusually
bright, and are his most prominent characteristic.

Personality

Yen is a mild kid with a strong sense of justice. However, he does have a very tough skin, and doesn't give a damn what you say. He does care what you think, however, in the way that he wants everyone to be
happy. He wants to be excellent, and is very disappointed with himself and beats himself up if he fails at anything. Though he is from before the bombs dropped, he is still very youthful in his demeanor, but
not naive. He tries to be optimistic, but has trouble with this since the world went to shit and so did his life. He can be very sarcastic if you catch him in a bad mood.

History

Pre-War
Yen was born in Pre-War America 18 years before the bombs dropped. He was in a good family and went to a private school. He was usually a good kid, but took great pleasure in hacking the school computers and
messing with e-mails (making teachers look like they were cursing a blue streak at other teachers, etc.). He was also brilliant, and excelled in school. However, when the threat of nuclear holocaust loomed,
his parents tried desperately to get into a Vault. They were told that there wasn't enough room for them. So they stayed in their house and waited for death bitterly. Then the bombs dropped.

Post-Apocalyptia
Yen was the only member of his family that survived. Unfortunately, he was horribly changed by the radiation and became a ghoul. He stayed in his ruined house for a year, but finally accepted what had
happened to the world and moved on. He roamed the Wastes for years as just a random explorer. Then, in what he calls 27 P.A. (Post Apocalypse), he found the Raiders. He wreaked havoc with them, being their
repair-man, slicer and hacker for 213 years. Whenever one tribe died out, he joined the next one with his new-earned prestige from the previous one. This is where he got his armor and weapons. This went on
until he betrayed one tribe, hoarding some loot for himself. They threw him in the basement of some building in their base town and tortured him for fun for months. This is where he lost his left ear. Then he escaped and made his way to INSERT CITY HERE, where they patched him up and he eventually set up shop as a repair-man. Every now and then, he would feel like going out and adventuring, but then no one would go with him, and he didn't particularly feel like going by himself. He heard stories of famous adventurers, like Bandit, and always dreamed of getting back out there. Six years passed this way, until he actually met Bandit...

Yen watched Bandit as her demeanor changed from cocky to puzzling to almost chummy to sad to forgetful to almost chummy again, and then finally to very very upset. Her emotions seemed to vacillate from moment to moment. "Oh, right." He replied. "My name is -" Yen stopped to locate the source of the banging noise. He quickly saw that the man who had been harassing a woman earlier had entered the room. Yen watched him as he walked towards them with an air of almost hostility. "Yen..." The ghoul finished.

'Better not be trading me in for that thing.'

Yen smiled, which, he had figured out over the years, made him look even more grotesque. He might have come back with some annoyingly intelligent quip that would have ended him up with a black eye and some broken teeth, but this quarrel seemed to be more between Bandit and this new man than between the man and Yen. "Um, wait -" he interjected as the situation seemed to fall apart. But Bandit was gone in a rage and the gray-haired man had sauntered over to the bar. After a few moments of blinking and wondering what happened, Yen decided that he probably shouldn't go talk to Bandit at the moment. He didn't really understand women that well, and he would probably end up saying something that would land him in trouble. So Yen walked over to the insulting new-comer and sat down as well, studying him. After a few moments, he took a thoughtful breath, then spoke, "So I gather that you are the doctor partner that everyone hears so much about? Slasher, right?"
