Fangoria

A kingdom with a dark past, a newly born tribe, an advanced civilization and Piracy all are present in this fantasy world.

Introduction

Fangoria is planned to be a long running and open ended RP. I have created a huge detailed setting for everyone to play in and some players are even allowed to have villain arcs. This lets the creativity flow and keeps the RP fresh and fun for everyone instead of it being just me in control. It also lets me play non villain characters with you guys. That said I do have main plots so the RP will remain structured and will keep flowing smoothly. This is needed because I cant leave the fate of the RP completely in the hands of people I have never before met or played with. With this style we get the best of both worlds, all the benefits of a structured RP and all the benefits of an open ended one. I hope I have grabbed your attention and interest and hope to see the character applications flood in, please join me in the fun to be had in Fangoria and its neighbors!

The RP Consists of the nation of Fangoria, Machium, The Cutlass conclaves and Garnium. Below I have a map and information on the history and backgrounds of the four. Information for individual places found inside of each of the big four will be able to be found in the places tab.

History

The largest nation Fangorias past is riddled with conflict and darkness. A century ago Fangoria was locked in a fierce war with Machium over resources that each nation had and the other wanted. Machium access to the rich and plentiful ores and metals and Fangoria access to an abundance of food and fertile ground. Both leaders at the time were stubborn and headstrong and neither would give the other an inch in diplomacy. The war was brutal and devastating for both sides. The people of machium had technology that Fangoria could never hope to match, machines of metal and hand held devices that fired metallic projectiles. Yet Machium had not a mage to their name the people were wholly incapable of learning or having any sort of magical power. Fangoria had numbers and magic to aid them, wizards of destruction and capable healers. For years the two battled man to man and machine to magic and for awhile it seemed that the war would end only with the destruction of one or both of them.

Until one fateful and dark day now known as The Bellowing. The skies darkened and a third army had joined the conflict, led by a powerful wizard only known as Octavian the army came without warning or reason and attacked both sides relentlessly. An undead army that only grew larger with each passing battle, each soldier of Machium and fangoria that fell only added to the massive ranks of the horde and slowly the forces of both nations had whittled down to fragment of what they initially had. No sword, nor magic, nor machine could stand up against the supernaturally powered undead army.

In a last ditch effort scouts had located where Octavian himself had made a home. And while the undead made the final and largest attack simultaneously against both nations both Machium and Fangoria had come to an agreement and launched a joint counter attack on Octavian himself. Held up in a cave atop a mountain troops engaged the undead at the foot while Machium flying machines swarmed the top. The two nations had sent the very best they had to combat Octavion atop the mountain but the wizard was powerful and took down most the flying machines himself. A single machine had made a safe but fiery landing and the surviving six heroes, three Machium and three Fangorian had engaged Ocatvion personally, and as they attacked a massive black dragon had erupted from the cave, ignoring everything else it shot straight toward Fangotha, the capital of Fangoria.

The battle between Octavion and the remaining six lasted three days, during that time the dragon had made it to Fangotha and was effectively demolishing it, seemingly immortal the capitals defenses crumbled under the dragons might.

Four of the six had fallen in battle against the powerful mage but miraculously the remaining two was able to defeat him and with his death the undead army immediately crumbled to ash. The black dragon had suddenly and violently turned to stone and to this day remains in Fangotha in the middle of the city square. The two nations celebrated and forged a peace treaty and trade agreement. Fangoria would provide Machium with a variety of food and in return Machium would trade them valuable ores, minerals and metals. Octavion was buried in the cave that he had made his home in and that place came to be known as Octavions Tomb. The best craftsmen from Machium and Fangoria came together to create a statue of the six heroes that defeated Octavion, they came to be known as the great six and they split the statue in half, Fangoria keeps the half of the three Machium heroes, and machium keeps the half of the Fangorian heroes, as a reminder of their friendship and what they had accomplished together.

One Hundred years since that day the two nations still uphold the alliance that was made but since then two other smaller nations have made a home nearby. Attached to the same continent as Fangoria in the deep deep wilds a tribe of barbaric people had formed they call their nation Garunim and have refused any and all attempts of diplomacy with Fangoria, though they have not acted hostile ether. For security reasons Fangoria constructed a camp and a stone wall outside of Garnuims border and keep ever vigilant to the newcomers.

Miles upon Miles across the sea a set of islands sits where the fourth nation formed. They call themselves the Cutlass Conclave but are more or less a large group of organized Pirates, and as such they do not attempt to wage war but attack and pillage and enslave ships that travel the seas. They mostly attack ships coming from faraway lands or wanderers not wanting to anger a large nation such as Fangoria or Machium. But both nations remain uneasy about the Conclaves presence.

Fangoria

The large nation led under the rule of a new benevolent king and queen shares a bountiful trade agreement with the neighboring machium. Fangorias land is large and has plenty of trees and fertile ground making the nation a large bustling nations where no one suffers from hunger. Though it suffers from fierce storms and the occasional bandit brigade or dangerous predator, such things come with its great size. The people of Fangoria like most are born imbued with magical essence know as mana. Anyone born with the essence is capable of learning magic though magic users only make up about twenty percent of the population due to the difficulty of learning any kind of magic, let alone controlling it. Some learn it on their own, others go to school for years, many who try never learn anything larger then causing a light to flash or a lock to open.

Machium
Machiums land is a harsh and brutal desert where food is scarce but metals can be found underground or in the mountains. Despite this fact the nation still thrives due to its ingenuity. The people of machium are darker skinned due to the environment in which they live but most interesting is not a single person born in machium has had so much as a drop of mana pumped through their veins. A nation without magic or mages caused them to evolve technology that make up for it. Machines of all sorts are common place in Machium (Think Steam punk) Machiums government is ruled not by a king but by a court of government body's who vote on various issues together.

Garunim A once large tribe who's existence almost vanished. Torn apart from the inside as the people revolting against each other in a civil war. As the civilization crumbled one Chieften had rallied enough people to his side and together they left their war monger brethren behind and staked out a new land. They established a wooden tribal city in the wilds near Fangoria and though they are content with their land..the chieftain longs for more. The Garunim people are a brutal and warlike race, they stand taller and bulkier then other humans and value combat prowess and honor above all else. They cast aside the sickly and those who are not strong. While capable of using magic outside of a select few most value weaponry and melee combat, feeling that it is a more honorable way to fight.

The Cutlass Conclaves

A band of Eastern Pirates united under the banner of a single Pirate queen forcibly took control of a set of three islands miles away from Fangoria. They resemble a nation but function like a highly organized crime syndicate. Buildings and amenitys are built and ran by slaves while the pirates do what they best, pillage, plunder and party. The Conclave people resemble that of Asian ethnicity and the government is not surprisingly lawless and violent. Though nowhere near the technological level of Machium the Pirates have learned the trade of gunpowder and have access to small arms pistols, rifles and cannons. Magic doesn't exist where the conclave hails.

1: Commitment, you need it if you want to join. In addition to letting down a group of people and harming your own reputation anyone who joins then go's inactive without justifiable cause is banned from any future RPs I create. If you MUST leave, give your character an out. A death, or riding in to the sunset deal.

2: It go's without saying that god modding is not tolerated.

3: Obviously you must not violate any of the sites rules.

4: Romance is allowed, in detail intimacy is not.

5: You may play any sort of character you want, good evil somewhere in between. In fact a few villain plots could work well HOWEVER. As GM I must ensure the health of the RP and will be running *main* plots, everything I do is based of the actions of the other players so other villain plots may go alongside the main. But you must never attempt to steer the entire RP away from the main plot and toward another.

6: Character Death: Its a serious RP and everyone gets attached to there characters. However death should be possible within the story. It will never be forced but it is suggested that some players should be willing to let thier characters die to add even more drama to the RP. Anyone who does this may create another character to continue playing.

7: Don't be pissy, sometimes another player may tick you off, bring the issue to me and we will solve it calmly and maturely in the OOC.

Like the King, Kcolth was impressed with the clerics introduction. "Ruayn vas Dhofera," he thought to himself. "A name I should most definitely remember." But the following event quickly made tensions worse as the King went off on the guards for bringing an innocent man before him just because of his red eyes. Kcolth wanted to help the man but was quickly interrupted by a man falling through the window onto the princess. The sight of him touching the lady made Kcolths face turn red in anger.

If it was not for two things he might have very well thrown the man out the window. First was that two guards where already restraining the man. And second because he recognized the man as the one who saved Kcolth and the princess from the dragon. But as the lady slapped him and spoke a few words to him Kcolth knew the man had learned his lesson. He walked over to Soarina before she could do worse. "Please remember that this man did save us lady Soarina," Kcolth said as he positioned himself between Soarina and the man. "Please calm yourself my lady. And as for you, I thank you for your past help, but I suggest you not move a muscle or breath one word," he said turning from Soarina to the man.

But even with all of this occurring one thing was plaguing his mind. He turned back to the King. "Even if you sent word to Machium requesting their help, they would not arrive for days. And in that time we could lose track of the dragon altogether. If we could follow the dragon it might be able to lead us to this mysterious red-eyed man," Kcolth said.

Blinking twice awkwardly, Rethyn hadn't expected the king would be on his side. Feeling the rather tense grips of the guards release from him, he quickly shot up to his feet and grasped the left side of his jaw with his left hand. Pushing against it gently he heard several pops and a sensation which left him feeling less in pain. Straightening himself up, he coughed yet again as his air flow only now seemed to fully come to.

Suddenly hearing a crash, Rethyn turned to see a man crash through the window and was now on top of the princess. Blinking twice again awkwardly, Rethyn forced another breath of air out of himself. The guards next to him had gone over and pulled the man off of the princess restraining him. Breathing back in slowly and painfully Rethyn still remained silent as he chose to follow the orders of the life saving King.

"Still though..." Rethyn thought to himself. "Am I the only sane one in this room?"

The rage and anger from before had actually died down quite a bit. Sure, he held dark thoughts of the kingdom planning to take away his families shop, but now with the shop gone; he felt the iron leash around his neck release from him. In a way he was free follow his own path, and make his own goals. However, in the back of his mind he knew if the debt ever came back to haunt him he's new freedom would be taken from him.

"Let's just hope it died along with the shop..." Rethyn prayed silently.

Aurelius took a handful of sand from the arena and scrubbed the blood off of his spear.

He had knocked out Orik Steelfist, their hot-blooded, youthful champion.
He had outstripped Talos Wuldum, their swiftest striker.
He had shut down Famaran Wuldum, their hardest hitter.
He had whipped Thorgrim Thoragson, their wiliest blade.

And had merely broken a light sweat on his forehead.

"Garkum! Where are your men?"

The responding clamor was music to Aurelius' ears. The nationalist spirit conflicted with the astonishment in his fighting style. In his second round he'd taken a two-handed, near-lambasting hammer strike on his shield and had simply shaken his arm loose. The crowd was silent as the shield rang throughout the stadium. In the third round he'd slammed the shaft of his spear into his opponent's instep, virtually crushing it beyond recognition. In the last round he'd simply slammed his head into the fox's face, cunning as he was the sheer force behind the blow knocked him into next harvest. The crowd was tearing their hair out, their confusion was obvious.

It was clear that they'd never encountered a warrior of his caliber outside their enclave, they'd only seen Garunimites trounce fellow Garunimites for such a long time that a foreign challenger left them astounded. He slung his spear and unsheathed his blade, banging the pommel on his shield once more so that it could be heard over the boisterious cheering.

"Your finest, your mightiest, your wiliest men! Send them my way, and I'll break them today!"

Aurelius hoped the arena's patrons were similar as the ones in Myrmyliod, that his taunts were part of the theatrics of the arena, not literally meant as a challenge towards their nation in general. He didn't want to be responsible for an international crisis. The announcer quickly ran to the center of the arena, the excitement forcing his already bulging eyes wider. He was probably making a fortune for his grandchildren.

"People of Garkum, a quick recap! This foreigner, Aurelius Longinus, Legionnaire of the Myrmyliod Army, the Huskarl Hammer has shamed us. How can we call ourselves a people of war if we cannot even defeat this lone man! With such dishonor among us Raos Keizer has been summoned by the chief to the fight. The Stark Vegter will break this foreigner and show him our true mettle!"

No man wandered out of the palisade, rather a behemoth climbed from the Pits to face Aurelius. This beast was at least a head and a half taller than he and just as monstrously built, if not more so. He carried with him a titanic blade, which he brandished as soon as he reached the center of the arena. Aurelius would've sworn he watched a breeze dodge to the side.

"May your blade strike true foreigner, so that we may both find glory in this battle."

Aurelius tapped his shield and helmet with his sword in assent. Now this was a fight for the ages.

"A sound plan. I can help track the dragon. The aura of evil it emanates is so strong I can still feel the residue lingering within the castle." A pause. "Wait a minute, it's actually growing stronger . . . from the window . . ."

Moments later there was a crash, a high-pitched yelp, and a very, very awkward silence as Ruayn blushed at the sight of the canoodling spectacle. How very violating. A man's hands belongs to his staff and his staff only. The wooden one.

Then something occured to Ruayn. His brow furrowed. "Weren't you . . . the man who crashed into the dining room hall before this whole thing happened?" A strange mix of suspicion and mild bemusement spread across his face. What were the odds that the same person would crash into a window and land on the same person, all in the span of a single day? The gods couldn't be less subtle.

"Let's see . . .falling from the sky, unexplained magical prowess, uncanny ability to turn up just when needed. Hmm . . ." Ruayn crossed off a list of critera in his mental 'Prophetic Chosen One' litmus test. "Your Majesty, if I may. The man may actually be of use to us. God works in mysterious ways, sometimes in humorous ways too." He cast a finger at the man with a theatrical flutter of his robe. "Whether he is truly a nexus of our hope or simply someone whom fate will remove, only time will tell. But this sign is much too potent to be dismissed as coincidental."

Something pricked at the back of Ruayn's mind. It was a gnawing, gnarling hunger; something shapeless and black, spewing needles and venom into his head until not only did his temples throbbed, but his soul shuddered with a sudden coldness. He clutched his temples in agony. Even after years of conditioning, the effects of evil in close proximity to someone so oppositely-aligned, was downright debilitating. From the far winds a name whispered into his ears.

"Ajak," Ruayn mumbled at first, standing upright once more, then with sudden vehemence, "Ajak. That's your name, isn't it? Ajak Kalal." His eyes widened in shock, as if seeing something of insurmountable horror visible only to him. "Dear Maker, what happened to you?"

His face hurt, Ajak dearly wanted the rub the painful burning hand print that was left on his cheek but alas the guards would not let him. He decided to heed the advice of the royal bodyguard and just be quiet, that is until the cleric brought the rooms attention upon him. The cleric knew something and being held back by two guards if he refused an answer he would be examined anyway so Ajak decided to come clean, at least partially clean anyway. There was no doubt that the cleric sensed his curse, though he doubted that it had anything to do with the situation at hand he would humor him, after all somehow the Cleric knew his name.

"Excuse me?" Ajak said to the guards as he tugged away his arms, he unraveled the wrap on his right arm piling it in to a heap on the floor, beneath it he revealed his pitch black arm. "Believe me, if a God exists the only affiliation I have with him is he hates my guts" he said holding his arm up. "Its a curse, one that will take my life if I do not find the cure, and all of the world doctor's and priests and even those who practice witch arts have yet to be able to cure it, quite nasty isn't it?"

Lowering his arm he rubbed it with his hand as it was always in pain, yet he almost never would let it show through, but being restrained by two gorillas would take its toll on even a healthy arm. "Its irrelevant to the situation at ha---" Ajak stopped, the cleric thought he was important, convincing the room otherwise would mean he would have to explain what he was in the castle for and why he smashed through the window. Ajak decided it best to see what else the cleric had to say before opening his mouth.

The king and queen also remained silent awaiting the rest of the clerics verdict.

The ship was a day outside of Cutlass waters when Nixie had the special sail put up. It looked like a pirate's flag, standard skull and crossbones, except underneath the crossbones was a ship with a blue circle around it. It was large enough that someone could see it and understand what it meant from almost a league away. Nixie and Sergent K'treva worked constantly until all of the Sgt.'s men were able to work as able sea hands. The ship was running smoothly and soon they would be able to land.

"What the hell are you people talking about?" Rethyn muttered as he watched the Cleric ramble on about how God works to the King, but not wishing to be in the way, he chose to remain silent and just listen. He was actually waiting for the King to dismiss him from the room, but amongst all of the current chaos of dragon attacks and such, he must have been forgotten. Still, through this he might be able to pick a few things up about the news outside Fangotha. Besides, it wasn't just any day a commoner could see the King eye to eye.

Slipping his hands into his lien brown coat quietly, Rethyn checked his hidden pockets. Thankfully, the metal of the four needles could still be felt against his fingertips. There were two of them in the right pocket, and two on the left. As long as they weren’t noticed he could leave peacefully. Pulling his hands back out and to his sides without a sound, he couldn't help but feel shaky. He was carrying concealed weapons in the Royal home which already was a mistake with grave consequences. Even worse was the fact he'd feel like he just betrayed the little trust he gained.

Walking over to the wall casually he leaned against it and gave a smirk to the two buffoons of guards. He swore to himself if one of them ever put a hand on him again in a dark alley he'd poison them with a painful mixture of poisons. Then the both of them would know not to lash out at random citizens. Rethyn knew though if he encountered a man with red eyes amongst seas of other shades he'd be just scared. In the city of Fangotha, he knew he was the only red eyed being in the city. Why though? Was he just a monster, or was it another reason?

"Answers to puzzling questions only unlock doors with more locked doors behind them." Rethyn thought to himself, "But nothing is insoluble."

Glancing over at the group again, Rethyn was a mere shadow.

There is an old saying that is present in every culture in one form or another and that is ' Be careful what you wish for.' Aurelius wanted to face the strongest man among them, well he got his wish. Raos the best warrior of the Garunim people was here to face him in combat. This would not just a fight however, this would be a test of his skills as well and a chance for Raos to see the styles of a different race of men. “Let us begin.” To fully understand and test his opponents abilities he started off lightly. Muscles tensed slightly as Raos brought his blade high into the air, it was so massive that it cast a large shadow, near effortlessly a simple downward slash with little of Raos' own force behind it, instead it was just the weight of the blade itself coming down on Aurelius. Time would tell just how much of an accomplished warrior Aurelius was. The chief had, by this time, arrived at the arena and was seated next to the announcer watching the battle with great intrest.

"To chance nothing, is to lose everything."

His drillmasters' mantra sounded clearly in Aurelius' mind and he murmured it quietly in the shadow of the Stark Vegter. His memory drifted slightly as he recalled the harsh training he endured to earn the right of the Huskarl Hammer. He had stood clearly over thousands of other boys brought to the Enclave, the Myrmyliod military headquarters, in both martial skill and tactical cunning. Time and time again he'd outmaneuvered and mentally outgunned his opponents. However this Raos character was not the dumb brute he'd encountered in his greenhorn days. His foes back then had simply wanted a place closer to the front of the line for gruel, either by muscling to the front or befriending a larger boy. Or when he'd achieved his first commission he'd had to face dishonorable defamation, and politicking as many competed for prime positions. Back then he'd simply slugged the older child in the stomach or jumped at the most dangerous of missions to prove himself. However standing in the darkness cast by this colossus...it was a little disconcerting.

He'd seen worse though.
The Golemnauts of the Tantolos Mountains had stood at fifty feet.
His opponent now just a head and a half taller.

It was simply the look in his eyes that rattled Aurelius, it was the gaze of an elder bear, wise in years and strong of arm.

It was the sound of the wind breezing past that brought Aurelius back to the present. The blade was descending rather quickly under its own weight, it looked as if the giantman was simply guiding where it fell. Aurelius waited till the last second and brought his shield up taking the brunt of the force on it. However the blade was still monstrously heavy and Aurelius was forced to his knees.

From his new position Aurelius battered the claymore off and lunged at Raos', hoping to hamstring him by plunging his blade between the giantman's legs and severing the tendons that kept him standing.

A careful prod to test his mettle, the enraged ursa rex was to be respected. To take it lightly was to die.

"That kind of wound should be fatal," Ruayn said matter-of-factly, purveying the wound with a near medical precision, "You should be dead as a doornail by now. Err, Maker bless you," he added quietly. There was nothing, though, nothing on earth he had ever seen that looked anything remotely like this. And a cleric knew everything, even a novice like Ruayn. Not out of pretentious arrogance, mind you, but simply because of their attunement with the divine magic of healing. It was simply a sixth sense: they knew when something could be healed, and when something was a wound that must stay. "This is the first time I've ever seen a wound to such . . . degree. And . . ." His eyes narrowed, trying to peer into the microcosm. "I see it. Tearing at your flesh, rending through the bone and sinew and gorging on your blood. I think it's . . . it's . . ." His voice turned suddenly grave. "If you don't find a cure, the curse will devour your soul. You will be an empty shell of your former self to be inhabited by whatever demon is inhabiting your body now. I am sorry."

Ruayn turned to the King with newfound sangfroid. "Your Majesty, I know none of this doesn't make sense right now. It doesn't to me either. I'm confused. But let me tell you something, we clerics specialize in the confused. It makes sense to us that it doesn't make sense. We don't know half of what we're doing half the time, and the half that we do know doesn't make half as much sense as we hoped it would. And right now, between cursed molesters and red-eyed men and dragons coming back to life, when absolutely nothing is making sense, the only thing that will make sense to do, would be to get a cleric like me. Your Majesty." He held his staff proudly, and bowed eloquently. "When do we move out?"

"Great" Ajak mumbled, he would have much rather went on ignorant of the severity of the curse, especially when there was no known cure. It all sounded crazy, were the king not a man of God himself the cleric may very well of been laughed out of the room. But the king nodded to him.

"Sir Kcolth is correct, it will be days before Machium even receives word of what happened let alone send help, until we hear back from them we must do what we can now, we mustn't let word spread to the general populace yet, but the captains situated in each Fangoria city will be notified. Rauyn you seem to be the only one capable of tracking the beast, Siegmund you will take a platoon of men and keep the cleric safe." The king said to Siegmund one of the seasoned guard captains.

"You're orders are that of reconnaissance, track the dragon and look for the whereabouts of a red eyed man associated with the dragon, I shouldn't need to tell you that engaging ether one would be foolish" The king said to Rauyn and Siegmund.

"Kcolth until we can fully grasp the situation at hand you are to continue your duties of guarding my daughter" The king said placing a firm hand on Kcolths shoulder. "And as for you" The king turned to Ajak who suddenly felt his stomach lurch. "You have been officially conscripted in to ranks of Fangoria" The king said. "What? no no no I'm no warrior and besides I'm dying remember? I couldn't possibly be much help!" Ajak pleaded but the kings expression didn't budge.

"Ruayn believes God created the events that led you here, I am not quite as inclined to believe that, but something in my gut tells me I should trust his judgment, So I want you close by and under my command, now go to the armory for equipment fitting and training, or if you would like I could have you hung for groping the princess?" The king said jokingly of course, but Ajak didn't need to know that. "Yes your majesty" Ajak replied with a hard swallow and the two brutish guards escorted him out towards the armory. "Siegmund, Ruayn you move out at dawn, I would get some rest and a good meal" The king said firmly.

The king dismissed the meeting and proceeded to leave to get some rest of his own, before he did however he whispered in the ear of one of the guards. The guard approached Rethyn handed him a bag of gold and smiled. "The king wish's to formally apologize for the actions of his gatekeepers, he offers you this bag of gold in compensation as well as a guest room should you require it." The guard spoke softly.

Nodding his head quietly, Rethyn looked over at the guard slowly for a moment before reaching out and quietly taking the bag into his right hand. With his right hand, he placed the bag into his right pocket securely. From the sound of the coins, Rethyn could tell this was more than he could make in two years. He didn't feel discouraged though, for the money was now his. And in all honesty to himself, he needed it.

Turning to face the King, Rethyn gave a small bow before he turned away and walked out the room through the golden doors. As he walked off he gave once last look at the many faces in the room. He would most likely never see their faces again, but still he had to admit they were interesting folk. Most of them including the King himself weren't stuck up folk like the many surrounding Lords of the area. Maybe it was just because they were all shaken by the attack. They didn't have the time to be stuck up.

Rethyn stopped outside of the courtyard as he looked back once more at the damaged building. Before turning back to leave Rethyn heard himself say.

"Now know why the guards would die for a King like him...”

With his left hand Rethyn made a small salute before turning back to the pathway out of the courtyard. Without wasting anymore time he walked off with silent footsteps.

The time had come, Nixie saw the Queen's Tower amongst the trees on the land mass ahead. It was once a guard tower of the people that had lived in the isles before the Conclave came and enslaved them. It was the only remaining building from those days. Surrounding the island were ships of many different shapes and sizes, from large cannon galleons to sad things that were little more than rafts. Nixie called Vasa to her chambers. "This is it, we're close to the conclave now. Have K'treva's men be our merchants. You and I will sneak off the ship while her crew sells our goods. I bought some fruit when I purchased the ship, they can use that to sell to the pirates. We have to remember to always stay hidden when we get out onto the island. There is no reason that I should be here, since I just quit Drake's crew." She looked around her quarters and pointed at a map of the islands. "We will be on Queen's Island when we land. The one below that one is the Map and Plunder Island. That's the one we want to go to."

Was this really a man who defeated so many of his peoples warriors, a man who could not even parry a slow moving blade to the side. Raos scoffed at the idea that this man was deserving of the honor to face him after he was brought to his knees by such an attack. Raos would give the man another chance perhaps raw strength was not the entirety of his fighting style, Perhaps he incorporates speed into his style. As Aurelius lunged forward he was met with a foot to his chest, but something was different about this kick he could feel the foot pressed against his chest, but the actual crushing force came a second later causing virtually no damage except a bit of disorientation after being pushed back so quickly. Aurelius was pushed back several feet away from Raos with more than enough room in between the for him to regain his stance and come at him again. Lifting his blade from the ground he allowed a small flourish of his ability as he sung the blade close to the ground causing some of the sand to lift in a small wave. With his blade ready Raos calmly studied the man waiting for his next move, the next move was his alone.

Aurelius grinned slightly as the kick to his chest made contact and he was shoved backwards. His passage had left a quiet whistling in his head as he had been pushed so forcefully, it was as if the wind had taken residence in the space between his ears.

"Strong and steady, with calculated force."

But beyond that he seemed a common brute. An ass could kick as hard and if that's the best Garkum could offer, then maybe strength was too highly prized in their society. At least their version of strength.

This man was truly deserving of the title, "Strongest Warrior", but perhaps "by Nature" should be appended to the end of the title.
However the Myrmyliod viewed strength differently from the people of Garunim. From what Aurelius could ascertain they held the view that strength was derived solely from one's bloodline in addition to the amount of training one completed, it had already been decided for you the power in your fist.

To the average Myrmyliod soldier, strength was will. Of course it played a role the current health you were in, and whether you had trained with purpose and drive, but every seasoned veteran knew, true vigor was found in the mind.

An army proverb sums it up succintly,
Willpower and sheer power can both change the course of a battle,
But willpower will have it done in time for the Harvest-Games.

Aurelius centered his mind and charged, closing the distance between them easily, and slammed his shield into Raos' torso forcing the behemoth back a few paces. On Raos' final step back Aurelius whipped his shield to the side and from behind producing his fist, a coiled spring of muscle, and slammed it into Raos' jaw sounding an audible crack.

Raos was glad the he decided to let the foreign warrior get another attack in and what an attack it was managing to have him retreat a few steps back. Turning his head back to meet Aurelius' eyes Raos now had a smile on his face, his teeth sating with a bit of blood from a cut along the gum line suffered after the punch. The crowed gasped in amazement their breath held for the next attack was Raos'. He clenched his fist into a ball at with immense speed aimed a punch directly for a weak spot in the torso, the diaphragm. Aurelius would be hard pressed to block this with his shield seeing as he had just finished whipping it to the opposite side.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Well, I guess this one's dead.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Forum, you should probably post. Just to keep it alive. It's been a week and I don't think they're coming back.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

If Serenity and Kclotch doesn't post soon, I might just post something to get back into the RP.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

I don't know :P

I'm just waiting for a post or two then i'll post again.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Well, it seems as if Bree isn't coming back... Should I continue my arch without her?

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Its not that im gonna stop posting all together it just that my post wont come as often as they do btw the fire was a week ago after my nephew came >.< thats why it take me a day to post sometimes

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Hey Qetzo, you know how long that might take? I don't want to hold up our portion of the RP if you can't post. In favor of keeping the RP alive I'm alright with a joint post if you are.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Like if you press page two on posting you can actually see page 2.

Also i might be delayed in posting as my attention is being called to fixing the master bedroom of my house after being badly burnt.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Wait what? What did you mean Qetzo?

And I'm not sure what's up with the lack of posting D:

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Anyway, I've noticed a large lull in posts within the last few days.

Whats going on guys? did you lose interest whats up?

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

WOOOOOHOOOOOO

That's awesome.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Something of worthy not. We can now go back and look at previous posts

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

I see what you're saying, I'll send up a post sometime by tommorrow afternoon. I gotta plan this out a little.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Well you could always go after the dragon yourself seeing as,

he felt the iron leash around his neck release from him

It looks as if you've set yourself up to do whatever you want from my perspective.

But it's up to you, I don't want to sound too controlling.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Hmm if rethyn takes the money, he gets knocked out of the main plot for a while and if he refuses it I'd be out of character

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Yeah they are, sorry if the attack was unclear in my post. I'll go edit it now and clarify.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

If you google hamstrings DO NOT click the images that pop up, one of them is loaded with a virus that installs itself posing as a security tool. I just got hit with it myself.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

One thing though, Trooper aren't the hamstrings on the back part of the legs? I have to check.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Its fitting, both of them are very warrior centric characters, and its not like they know of anything that happened in Fangotha, and even if they did its doubtful ether of them have much reason to care unless suddenly the whole world was in peril. Come to think of it, its doubtful that the people of Garunim know anything of what happened 100 years ago. Aurlious might, that's up to the his player though.

Also as with Nixie and Vasa, Aurlios and Raos are both interesting characters and its fun to watch them develop even in battle, regardless of whether or not they are in the central plot. I left a lot of room for people to do things like that as not everyone likes or wants to be a part of a central plot at any given time. And in this instance in character it doesn't make any sense for them to be in or want to go to Fangotha anyway. Also when you get 9 players in one place things get convulted and the RP can slow down drastically. I'm actually pretty impressed with how smooth this castle meeting room segment is flowing considering how many of us are in there.

Midnightclub, you are so far away from what has been happening you could move a few days along and it should be fine, your character will just be a few days ahead of those in Fangotha. Time lines realign themselves really easily in RPS. So feel free to let some days pass near you.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Well I was just eager to start a fight and Qetzo's character seemed the most likely to oblige :D

I enjoy the fighting, it keeps people coming back to read if anything and thus leads to more posts.
