Rahael Nox

0 · 315 views · located in Fantasim Land

a character in “Fantasim Land”, originally authored by Gladis, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Image
Rahael has rather short, somewhat curly, blonde hair which and grayish eyes with red pupils. His skin his deathly pale. Rahael is rather tall and has a good body built, being muscular, although not overly, and yet slender. He has a handsome smile, although he can make it look somewhat wicked and twisted if he wants to. Rahael's ears are slightly pointy, although they weren't like that before he was turned into a vampire. He has a set of sharp, vampiric teeth, which although he usually hides them well, can make him look rather intimidating. He is usually found wearing clothes of a nobleman. He has one earing, a golden cross, and he also wears a small golden crucifix around his neck which he received of his mother right before she passed. She also gave him a black and ribbon which he ties to his wrists at times, especially as a reminded to that he has to remember that he must fight... He also has a pair of angelic wings which come and go a little as they please, often causing him great agony.

Personality

Rahael can seem rather dark and mysterious, sometimes even cold but that doesn't mean he is all bad. The thing is, Rahael probably walks somewhere in between good and evil. He is constantly fighting his inner demons, trying to get off the dark path but somehow always ending back up on it. Or rather, his angelic side is fighting his vampiric nature. His past has had its toll not just on his body, but his mind as well. Although he is usually fully calm and composed, taking most things easy and wanting to help people, he sometimes suddenly can lose it and get upset about the smallest thing, even dangerously so. Then, after some moments of having exploded in rage he suddenly returns to his calm and reasonable state. Ah, when he's thirsty he can be exceptionally grouchy and grumpy and that doesn't have anything to do with his mental instability. Whenever around Sepiroth he changes attitude slightly as well, becoming cold and closed, even somewhat passive aggressive.

History

Rahael was raised by his mother and father until he was five. Shortly after his mother died of a fatal illness she had Rahael was kidnapped and enslaved by a man named Sepiroth. Those eight years he spent as slave were literally Hell for him. Those years were also what started to change him, although he was still a good lad afterwards and it took many years before it started to show. When he was thirteen he somehow managed to escape from his master. He found and reunited with his father, which started to heal him slightly, at least mentally. Shortly after he met his father his angelic wings broke out from his back for the first time as well, revealing what he was.

As time passed the relationship between Rahael and Rapheal, his father, become more and more strained. The final drop was when Rahael betrayed him, although he doesn't see it like he did and claims he had a good reason for why he did what he did. However, part of him does regret what happened... Not long after what happened Rahael was terribly tricked by a vampire who originally aimed to drain him, but somehow Rahael managed to survive although he was turned into a vampire. That was the first time he had ever loved a woman and according to him will be the last time, although I doubt it. Sometime he'll get over his slight paranoia about getting betrayed.

Ashamed of what had happened, not just that he'd been tricked and terribly both physically and psychically hurt by a woman, but also the complications with his father, he decided to start traveling for a while, just to make things clear to himself and maybe learn something new on the way as well. That is how he ended up in Fantasim Land. He still has problems with his wings, although he has started getting used to the pain and does hardly even react when they rip open his scarred back anymore.

So begins...

Rahael could feel his hopes and mood sink as he shook his head and helped his father lay down. "No..." he said quietly, "father, it is actually quite warm in here..." he shook his head and glanced around, relieved to find a chair as well. He pulled it over to the bed and sat down by his fathers side, tilting his head slightly and frowning. "Father, are you alright?"

Rahael frowned. "Father, for heavens sake! I'm a vampire, how can I be warmblooded?!" he exclaimed, feeling close to panic. He had a feeling she knew what this was about, actually he had a really bad feeling about this all. He gently took Rapheal's hand and watched him quietly, smiling sadly.

Rahael bit his lip hard enough to draw blood, feeling his heart starting to race. He didn't want this to happen, he felt so helpless... Watching his fathers eyes slowly shut Rahael gently squeezed his hand, sighing softly. "Father... I love you... and always remember that, wherever you ever go..."

"I needed to hear that, thank you..." Rahael mumbled, shutting his eyes and sighing softly, feeling a tear roll down his cheek, "and father, be happy with mother now... and say hallo to her from me..." he whispered softly, not sure if Rapheal could hear him anymore but he hoped so. He felt more years rolling down his cheeks. It was his fault! It was his fault his father was dying...

(Why did I have the feeling it would be like this?! You're so mean! XD)

Rahael blinked and froze, feeling some kind of presence...

(xD At least it's amusing... now don't let him die!I)

Rahael frowned, glancing around quickly and standing up, cautiously resting his hand on the hilt of the sword...

(Err... I don't know. This is to amusing to be depressing, the mix doesn't work for me... XD I'm not sure, but I love my Raphy and he hasn't even been here for long! It would be sad to already be rid of the old boy... If you don't kill him I can bring someone who'd be interested in tormenting your characters... or him...)

Rahael felt his heart starting to race faster as he glanced around the room in bewilderment. "Who's there?!" he exclaimed, for a moment thinking he saw something looking like blonde hair. He paused and frowned, because it wasn't visible any longer. For a short moment he could also hear voices, but not make out what they were saying. Was he going mad?! No, he didn't think so. "WHOEVER IS HERE, GO AWAY! LET ME MOURN MY FATHER IN PEACE!" he roared in a booming voice that almost seemed to make the whole inn shake slightly. Whoever those annoying creatures were, they had really ticked him off. ress. She hated taking off her clothes and she was glad when the dress was on... silently she walked out from behind the ruins...

(XD Now whom to bring... any suggestions? I could bring Alice, she'd defiantly torment him... or someone else...)

Rahael blinked as Reapheal groaned softly. Instantly he calmed down...

(Oh yay! YES! XD ^_^)

Rahael paused and gazed at him for a while, frowning. "I really thought you were gone..." he said slowly, gazing at his father in disbelief, "no... you were, but you came back, you came back from the dead..." he pointed out, kneeling down by father side and watching him cautiously, his face blank in shock. He didn't know how to react to this situation at all. "How are you feeling?" Rahael asked his father softly, tilting his head to the side and a somewhat concerned look crossing his face.

(XD Shall I bring Ayala? After the Rapheal and her wings incident but before her revenge? I can make it worse this time... now when I know her, erm... demonic side better! XD)

Rahael's face lit up slightly. "You mean, we could maybe find a way to figure out how to save you?" he asked softly, starting to build up hope. Please say yes, please say yes, pleas say yes! he pleaded in his mind, biting his lip. He really didn't want to lose his father as well. Not after having to life through losing his mother. It had been so painful. He'd been only five but still he could remember the pain so clearly. And he didn't want to live through that again.

Rahael sighed softly and nodded his head slightly. "I shan't stop hoping, at least..." he said determinedly, standing up. "Now rest, I shall be back later..." he said softly, walking over to the door and glancing back at his father. He frowned and paused as he put his pale hand on the doorknob, "will you be alright?" he asked carefully, looking at him with concern in his expression.

(XD I shall make her form now... :3 but that means everything with Spurio is yet to happen as well... XD)

(^_^ Glad I could help :3)

Rahael strolled along the street, cringing in pain as the twitching of his wings inside his back became worse and worse. He gritted his teeth, tugging the ribbon around his wrist harder and harder with each twitch of his feathery friends. Soon they would break out of his already so scarred back. He sighed at the thought, then reminded himself that he was lucky enough to still have them. He had at least gotten what he'd been searching for, an enchanted gemstone which now lay in his pocket. Rahael was on his way back to the inn.

He blinked and paused, tilting his head to the side when he spotted a beautiful girl with lime green eyes. A weak smile twitched on his lips as he walked up to her. "Is there anything I can help you with, miss? You seem lost..." he mentioned softly. It wasn't that he suddenly trusted woman again or anything, but he liked to help people when he could, and she did indeed look lost.

Cassandra smiled up at him. She loved his eyes.

"Sepiroth, that's brilliant," she told him softly. "I think that's exactly what I needed. It's perfect," she continued, her emerald eyes glittering thankfully. "I don't know how to thank you for that."

Just then, interrupting their heart-to-heart talk, a pair of servants walked in. Each carried a golden platter and they set them down on the table. They lifted off the lids - one was a platter of various meats, while the other platter had a large bowl of salad. The servants then set down a golden plate in front of both Sepiroth and Cassandra, and with another bow, they left.

Cassandra smiled towards Sepiroth somewhat.

"It seems food is here," she said with a soft giggle.

Osirette looked up as a man approached. Even she had to admit that he was handsome, and she gave him a kind smile.

"Actually, there is, just one thing," she said to him, "could you perhaps tell me where we are? I'm just passing through," she added quickly, not wanting him to think that she was a newcomer or anything of the sort. She might stay a few days, but it was too close to the Dark Woods where her father and stepmother were. She wanted to be far, far away from them, and staying in this Kingdom couldn't give her that.

Rahael gave her a very slight, handsome smile and nodded his head, glancing around. "You are in the town of Fantasim Land, miss," he said softly in his slight French accent. He studied her carefully and although he had no interests in a romantic relationship at all, he had to admit she wasn't just beautiful, she was stunning. And her smile was the prettiest smile he had ever witnessed. Mentally he slapped himself for even thinking like that. Woman were false and would always leave you with a broken heart, love was pain! Still, his father had pointed out not all woman were 'harpies'...

Cassandra blushed, smiling a bit. She also helped herself to some of the salad, once he was done.

"Don't worry," she told him softly. "I quite enjoy your company, too." She gave him a kind smile, and then she took a bite of the salad. She was having such a wonderful evening so far. She could only hope that her night with Sepiroth would continue to go well. Perhaps they'd go to the ballroom and dance together when they were finished eating. Or they'd go sit in the garden and talk... There were so many possibilities and Cassandra had no idea what she wanted to do next. She figured it best, though, to just sit and take things as they came. She would focus on dinner now, and talking with him and enjoying herself.

- - -

Osirette gave the man another kind, warm smile and she nodded.

"Well, thank you," she said softly, pausing. "Do you know of a place where I could stay for a few nights?"

Rahael nodded his head slightly, cringing once more as his wing thudded against the inside of his back. "Yes," he said softly, a soft gasp escaping his lips as his face twisted very slightly in pain, "I do know... would the inn of the town suffice?" he quickly pulled himself together and gave her a strained smile. His wings thudded against his back again.

Cassandra grinned over at him, and then took another bite of her salad, and then another. It was pretty good, she had to admit. And so far, all was going well. She ate in silence, sneaking glances at the handsome man dining with her every now and then between bites. He truly was a sight to behold, and she considered herself very lucky to have him there in the castle with her.

- - -

Osirette frowned a little bit as she watched him. He looked to be in slight pain.

"It would... are you alright?" she asked him softly, her shocking lime eyes gazing towards him.

Rahael grimaced and then nodded his head, forcing himself to stand up straight and to ignore the pain as good as she could. "Yes, I am fine..." he said softly, although it was a obvious lie. He cringed again and sighed, "In fact, I'm not... step back if you don't want blood to splatter all over you," Rahael said quickly, biting his lip. He didn't want them to come out when he was in public, but they didn't seem to give him any chance. "I'll take you there in a minute, miss..." he added in gasps, cringing once more and quickly pulling off his coat and shirt, so that they wouldn't be in way of his wings. A moment later Rahael fell to his feet, one of his wings broke out from his back, splattering blood all around him. He gritted his teeth to stop himself from screaming...
