a character in “Fantasim Land”, as played by Yumishi

Description

Sepiroth is 6'7 in height and very-deathly- thin, his body is covered in scars and burns and is in a almost waspish shape due to flesh being cut away and the stomach cut down. he has very long and delicate piano fingers and is deathly pale. his face is elegant, statuesque and cold. he also looks slightly girlish. he has long white hair and cat like eyes.

Personality

Sepiroth is cold, emotionless, sadistic and calculated. he has a twisted and blackened heart of stone. he has no sympathy or mercy for others, he does not suffer fools gladly and tends to keep himself to himself. he can be charming when he wants to, and he can give a false impression that he feels emotion..

Equipment

Sepiroth tends to carry a blade that has being shaped like a cross; it has Demonic and Angelic symbols running down the hilt. he wears black armour that fits tightly around his body, but exposes his chest and back. there is a collar tied around his neck with a long chain that he wraps around his chest in an X shape. he has clawed gauntlets that lead up to the elbow and high heeled thigh length shoes..

History

Chapter one: Childhood

Sepiroth was born the second eldest son of Gladius on a dark night. Gladius placed a small sword in the new born’s hand –such is Demon tradition- and was delighted to find out that the baby held it firm, the sign of a warrior, like Gladius himself.

Gladius named the child Sepiroth- a different spelling of Sethiroth-the one winged angel..little did Gladis know that when Sepiroth became older his name gained significance.

As a baby Sepiroth displayed an advanced intelligence that was far superior then a normal baby. But his father wasn’t happy, Gladius didn’t want intellect. He wanted strength.

Gladius start to train Sepiroth. As Sepiroth got older the beatings became more frequent, more painfull. At the age of six Sepiroth was covered in bruises and made to walk on broken legs.

His life was a nighmare. If he did something wrong, he was beaten to the point of near Death. If he reactied or showed emotion he was beaten. He’d cry when he was alone in his bed, wondering why his father hurt him and why his mother doesn’t love him. As a child Sepiroth tried to impress his mother, he loved her with all his heart, he did everything he could to please her. But she never loved him, never glanced at him. The only thing she ever called him was…a failure..

Sepiroth was hurt by the rejection, so he threw himself into training, if his mother wouldn’t look at him as a weakling then she’d look at him was the mightiest warrior who ever lived!

Gladius noticed the change in his son’s behaviour, he noticed that Sepiroth was becoming cold, emotionless, cruel..and he was pleased, for this way the true Demon way. He didn’t want his son to be a wimp, so he continued to push Sepiroth farther, giving him no rest. Gladius felt that he was doing the right thing, if his son died then his son was unworthy of living. Gladius was blinded by his own pride, his own views..to see the danger his son was becoming.

Sepiroth might have stayed sane..but his younger brother Lucifer was born. Sepiroth watched in the shadows as his mother gave all the love to his brother that he wanted, what he craved. In Sepiroth’s eyes a light dimmed and was replaced by an emotionless look. The look of someone who’s soul had died. His mind kept repeating one question over and over..one that would haunt him for many years…

….why him, why HIM?!

Sepiroth had no one to confide to, no one to talk to. His dislike went unchecked and as time passed, his hatred for ‘little Lucy’ grew from dislike to utter hatred. Until Sepiroth saw Lucifer not as a brother..but as an enemy, an opponent, a fool that needed to be crushed. There were many fools that needed to be crushed.

Sepiroth fought the training dummies more viciously then before, Gladius was overjoyed. But what Gladius didn’t know is that while Sepiroth was hitting the dummy, stabbing it..he visualised Lucifer’s (Lucifer was only 4 months old) face..this was the end of the love starved, lonely child Sepiroth was and the start of the insecure, cruel, calculated youth Sepiroth was going to become.

All the emotions he felt, all the hatred, loneliness, depression and insecurity would finally take its toll upon the young boy. And things would come to ahead when he reached the age of 12..he would show how his upbringing had affected him, he would become the son that Gladius wanted..he would give into his Demonic side for the first time…(

So begins...

Cassandra examined the man closely as he entered. He was slender, pale, and cold-looking...but wasn't she, too? And he was strangely beautiful, Cassandra thought. There was something unusual about him, something mysterious. She was both curious and afraid.

"Hello," she replied in a soft, barely audible voice. She kept her startling emerald eyes on him, despite the nearly overwhelming feeling that she should look away. "Why are you here?"

Mal's eyes shifted over to the man in the room along with him. "What are you strange man? Killing fathers? That's never right." his four tails twitched as another one started to grow. He winced, growing a new tail was always a pain the ass....literally. He crossed his arms thinking about his tails. "Now I'm going to have an odd number with an odd color.. I'll be odd." He appeared 19 in all reality he was at least 400, but anyone who knew a Kitsune...knew they lived to be 900 or longer. Looking at his four tails he sighed, His hand went up to the pendant as he looked at the woman. "I cannot help what I am... like I said, call me Mal." He looked back at the pile of ash that used to be a guard. "Call off your guard, and I said, just a place to stay." He appeared tired, his tails now twitching aggravatingly. "Have you never heard of a Kitsune?" His red eyes glowed, making the pendant glow brighter.

Cassandra frowned. With its eyes glowing and the pendant doing the same, the thing looked menacing. Almost threatening.

"Never," she said, her voice cold. "If you need a place to stay, there's an inn in town. I'd rather not keep strangers under my roof," she added, annoyed. With that, she sat back down in her throne and folded one slender leg, covered by the long skirt of her lacy green and black dress, over the other. She had no interest whatsoever in entertaining guests. Except maybe Sepiroth. She was curious about him. But of course, she couldn't let that show.

Cassandra returned her gaze to Sepiroth, her red lips frowning, but curious.

"Why?" she asked in her soft, delicate voice. "What did your father do that is so horrible you need to kill him? If I'd had any father at all, I would be very thankful."

He snorted and turned around, "You underestimate my power queen" He sneered before giving the man a quick look and walking out of the castle. Shoving his hands in his pockets he strolled down the street. Obviously this place was going to be fun. The queen does not just simply dis respect a fox spirit that is more powerful than her. He turned and looked at his tails, the new tail finally finished growing in, fluffy red with a black tip. He smiled and started cleaning his claws. He had used up a lot of energy showing the queen his powers. Looking down at the grass he was standing in, he slowly sucked the life out of it going from a vibrant green to a dead brown. He stretched as his body absorbed the energy. "Much better." He said happily as he looked at his starball. It was a good thing it was always around his neck... he didn't like making promises to get it back, and he certinaly didn't feel like being returned to the spirit world, too much drama happens there. As he continued walking, he ran into a man with a book in his hand. "Woah! Watch it!" He snarled getting up his red eyes blazing.

Cassandra gazed towards Sepiroth, relieved that the fox man was gone. She simply didn't have the patience right then to deal with silly animals. She listened patiently to Sepiroth's words and gave him the slightest of nods.

"I see," she murmured. Perhaps the scars and burns over Sepiroth's elegant figure were a result of his parents. She couldn't imagine a parent wishing to harm their child. Though her mother caused harm to many people, Cassandra was not one of them. Cassandra was always spoiled, always educated, and always nurtured with all the love her mother had in her otherwise cold heart. She was like a beacon of light, breaking through the darkness and letting her mother have some sort of humanity left within her. Fairies were naturally good beings, especially Lightearth Queens, but Ophelia and Kiara hadn't been. And maybe Cassandra wasn't, either. "Do you know where in my Kingdom you will find what it is that you need to destroy in order to kill your father?"

Cassandra gazed towards him, feeling a sadness for him. She felt sorry for him. It was a strange sensation, as she'd never felt sorry for anyone before, but now, she did.

"No, I can't imagine it at all," she said in a soft voice. She decided not to go into detail about how her mother and her grandmother had been a good, loving family. They had cared for her and treasured her and raised her to reach her full potential. It was unbelievable that not all parents did the same. But here he was, Sepiroth, the proof standing right in front of her.

She ran a pretty, pale hand through her scarlet curls, keeping her dazzling eyes on him. "Do you know how to go about finding it? Or need help, or anything?" she asked softly. She wanted to help him. She didn't often want to help people, but Sepiroth, with his mysterious beauty and allure, was somebody she did want to help. She didn't know exactly what it was about him, and she didn't really know what she was feeling, but she had a funny feeling that there was nothing she'd like more than to help him however she could. There had to be some way to find what he was looking for. It was her Kingdom, after all, and if the guards had to tear down the city brick-by-brick, well, so be it.

Cassandra gave him a slight nod. She'd have smiled, but she really wasn't one for smiling. She lifted one pale hand and snapped her fingers, the clicking sound reverberating around the large throne room. Within moments, a door off to the side opened and in hurried a young girl, barely a teenager.

"Yes, my Queen?" asked the girl, giving Cassandra a polite curtsey.

Cassandra eyed the little girl for a moment before saying, "You are to find a map of the Kingdom. I don't care where you get it from, just get one."

With a nod and another curtsey, the girl nervously smiled and said, "Of course, my Queen, whatever you say." And with that, the girl scurried back out the door from which she'd entered.

Cassandra looked back towards Sepiroth, hesitating a moment. She could offer him one of the many guest rooms upstairs. There were over a hundred bedrooms in the castle, surely one of them would be to his liking.

"Would you like to stay in a room here in the castle?" she asked finally, surprised by her own kindness, but too curious about Sepiroth to send him on his way to the inn.

Cassandra felt shivers run down her spine as she saw the icy smile on Sepiroth's lips. She couldn't quite decide whether they were good shivers or bad shivers, but she figured it would be best to go with the good option.

"Alright," she said softly. Decidedly, she stood from her throne and took a few barefooted steps towards Sepiroth. Her feet were utterly silent against the floor of the throne room, and her beautiful butterfly wings fluttered behind her back as she moved towards him. He was very tall, and she gazed up at him with her beautiful green eyes. "I doubt anyone will come in here looking for me in the time it takes for me to show you around upstairs," she said softly, figuring she'd take him upstairs herself. They'd find him a room, she'd show him around quickly - all he really needed to know were the locations of his room, the washrooms, and the dining hall, after all.

Cassandra gave him a nod, her scarlet curls fluttering as she did so. She said nothing else, simply walked towards a door off the side of the throne room, one that would lead into the hallway. She glanced back at him and nodded towards the door with a simple jerk of her head, fluttering her wings.

"There are lots of rooms to choose from," she said softly. She reached out a hand and her pale fingers curled around the knob. A flick of her wrist twisted it and the door opened without even a creak. Cassandra gave it the lightest of pushes and it daintily swung open, revealing the hallway, elegant like the rest of the castle, dimly lit with wooden floors. A few paintings hung on the walls, mostly of beautiful Lightearth fairies resembling Cassandra. Her ancestors, her predecessors.

Cassandra led him into the hallway. She paused, not liking how dull and dim the lighting was. She gave a flick of her wrist, and a few tiny balls of glowing golden light appeared up by the ceiling, illuminating their way somewhat more. She walked along quietly until they reached the magnificent grand staircase. She gently rested one pale hand on the banister as she began upwards, glancing back down at him. Most of the bedrooms were on the second floor of the castle, so she would take him up there and show him around. She was sure that he would find a room that he liked among the many. There were rooms of all kinds. The second floor was laid out in a 'T' shape, and where the two hallways intersected at a perpendicular angle was where Cassandra's own room was.

Cassandra gave him a nod. She paused at the top of the stairs so that he could fall into step with her before answering.

"Yes," she said in a soft voice. "I know not exactly how long it has been, but this entire Kingdom was shaped by my ancestors." She ran a gentle hand through her hair. It was amazing, almost overwhelming, to think that she was now part of an ancient legacy, taking up the torch her ancestors had been handing down for so, so many years, decades, centuries, even millennia ago. And one day, she would have a daughter, and her daughter would be the Queen of this place. And then it would be her granddaughter, and her great-granddaughter, and so it would continue for many more years just as it has done for the past many.

Cassandra gave him a small nod. She liked that he understood. There was, after all, a lot of pressure on her. She knew that the people were watching to see what kind of a Queen she would become. She knew that they were anxiously hoping for her not to become like her mother and her grandmother were, but why do what the people wanted when her predecessors had taught her otherwise?

"There is," she said softly. "My family taught me how to be a good Queen...but I think that the people want something different from me. I'm not really sure whether I should be the Queen they want, or the Queen I know that it is right and proper for me to be." She turned her beautiful emerald eyes towards him curiously, the faintest hint of a smile beginning to tug at the corners of her ruby lips.

Cassandra was absolutely silent as he spoke. His words were very true, and very wise. She gave him the slightest nod.

"You're right," she said in her soft, lovely young voice. He was very right.

She stopped at the end of the hall, where it split off into two separate halls going in opposite directions. In the middle was a large, elegant door with beautiful engravings and carvings adorning the frame. She motioned up both halls with her slender arms. "You can have any room along here. They're all different, so you can probably find one that's perfect for you," she said, her voice melodic as she spoke.

Cassandra looked towards the room to which he had motioned, and she gave him a nod.

"Certainly. It's all yours," she said softly, glad to have been of help. "There's a washroom three doors down," she pointed at it. "Would you like to see the dining hall?"

Cassandra nodded her head, another faint smile lighting up her beautiful face.

"Alright," she murmured, and began back down the hall, towards the staircase. "It isn't too terribly far. Just snap your fingers and the servants will show up to serve you, no matter what time it is," she told him as they walked along. She fluttered her pretty wings sweetly.

Cassandra walked quietly down the stairs, a slight bounce in her step as she headed downwards. The curls in her hair bobbed with her steps, and she paused at the bottom, gazing up at him, a frown crossing her lips as she looked up just in time to see him cringe somewhat. It was small, but still noticeable.

"Are you alright?" she asked him in a soft, gentle voice.

Cassandra gave Sepiroth another nod. She was curious about his wing, but she didn't dare ask. Not yet, at least. Perhaps she would ask him another time. Perhaps it was another of those things to do with his father. She fluttered her own wings anxiously, knowing that she would hate to have her wings chained up like his was.

"Well, alright," she replied softly, and began down the hall, away from the throne room still.

Cassandra and Sepiroth soon arrived at the dining room. Cassandra reached out and gave the knob a twist, and the door swung open for them. She stepped inside, moving so that Sepiroth could follow her in. The room was beautiful, with a golden chandelier dangling from the ceiling above a large, sturdy looking wooden dining table. At the head of the table sat a magnificent chair, clearly belonging to Cassandra, and along the longer ends were a few other chairs. Cassandra looked towards him.

"This is the dining hall," she said softly. "There are always servants waiting in the walls. They are pretty decent servants, as far as servants go, and you're guaranteed service," she told him.

Cassandra was glad that Sepiroth liked her beautiful dining hall. It was, after all, something of which she was proud. She turned to face him. Or, rather she tried. She tilted her head upwards so that she could meet his eyes. He was so tall. And elegant. And handsome.

"Is there anything else you'll be needing?" Cassandra asked softly. She hoped there was. She hoped that he needed something. She didn't care what it was, it could be anything. She had another of her faint, barely visible smiles tugging her lips upwards ever so slightly, teasing at a smile but clearly not quite giving one.
