Introduction
This here is a grand collection of odd heroes, fantastic fairy-tales, and anything else your mind can imagine. Literally. While at first that may seem like a dandy deal, I assure you that the mind can quickly become a scary place. It's a vast world in Quies, my friend. Stick with your group, don't go looking for trouble, and enjoy your stay.
... However long that will end up being. we'll see!
You, whoever that may be, are one of the protagonists in this tale. I suppose there's no harm in being an antagonist if you'd really like to, but whichever one you are depends on your point of view. As they say, 'A hero in one story is the villain in the next' I don't know if anyone has ever actually said that.
Honestly, do whatever you want so long as it's not going on a beheading spree every five minutes. I'm not here to mess with your free will, little Dreamer, but I absolutely would prefer it if you didn't become a mass murderer and stab people left and right.
The Dreamers are here for reasons that I don't know. They woke up here one day and decided to wreak havoc on our land, pillage our cities, and slaughter the poor Plant People (not really!). All joking aside, the Dreamers aren't dreamers and the Plant People are alive and well. We like to give nicknames here in Quies, and because our newcomers arrived drooling and unconscious, they fit their nickname well. How they got here? I have no idea. Hopefully you do. All I know is that they have a goal: to get to the River of Worlds. It's said that that's how they can find their way home, but... what do I know?
The natives, however, have been here all their lives. There's healers and spell-casters, liars and helpers, people who do good and the people who try to do good but fail. A few of them may even be willing to help our newcomers, though others might no be so friendly.
Me. Well, for one I'm the one explaining what all this junk. I'm not here to pull your strings and make you a idiotic puppet, but currently my job is to make sure you aren't ignorant to it all. Really, I don't think I'll be very important later on. I'm not even getting paid How outrageous is that?!.
Them. They're the others! Those dumb crime fighters, the lovely bandit, the toilet cleaner... all of 'em! You'll be working with them or against them eventually, so pick your allies wisely now or run for the hills where the Plant People live. Don't be upset if they're rude to you, though. Remember, they're all their own protagonist!

{You can have a maximum of 2 characters when you reserve. PM me if you'd like to play another, but only if there's a shortage of people joining}
The Sheepish City:
The most populated place in Quies. Better known to the natives as the home of the Spell-Casters, as so many wizards live there. Despite being so full of people, hardly anyone is ever seen during the day.
The Tall Twelve Towers:
Next to Sheepish, the Tall Twelve Towers is a big city as well, though it's smaller population is due to being just miles away from the forest. Many folk live here, and unlike in Sheepish it's not rare to see them at all hours.
The Wickerbattle Forest (of Nothing But No One):
Unless you have a Healer with you, it's unwise to go here. Only a select few can survive in Wickerbattle, and none of them are good.
The Gaunt Home and Fine Dining:
Upon a rare occasion, one may find themselves at the Gaunt's. Home to a group of thirteen witches, it's obvious why being a guest here is a horrible idea.
The Village of Aster:
Just outside of Wickerbattle is the home of the Plant People. They're friendly enough, but generalization is a fool's move when it comes to their kind. No humans live here. Just oversized plants.
The Tunnel of Stars and Screaming:
If you're lucky, you may be able to have one of the Plant People guide you to this tunnel. It's hidden, located surely in some sacred field of daisy's or whatever, and trying to find it yourself would be flat out dumb. Once you're inside the tunnel be sure not to let it's beauty fool you. The stars that you see? Dangerous. Be prepared to scream. Sure is pretty, though.
The River of Worlds:
No one knows much about this place. Some say that the water is actually a portal to other galaxies, others think one glance at it's reflections will kill you. The majority, however, firmly believes the place is just a myth. Unfortunately, it's the only shot the Dreamers have at getting home.
-I would appreciate it if posts could regularly be around the 300 word mark. It's not a lot (to me, at least) and if you don't think you can do it then please don't make a character.
-I get mixed up with grammar too, but try to have your posts legible for people to read x_x
-Anime/Illustrated pictures only! Don't use real people as your FC's. Please use a character that has gifs/images that are fairly easy to find, as you'll be needing them for your character sheet. It's also important to note that when reserving in the OOC, add your favourite book in somewhere.
-Even if you're the first one to ask for a role, you still might not be accepted into the roleplay. Sorry! When reserving a character in the OOC, tell us either your least favourite or favourite fictional character.
-No Mary Sue's/Gary Stu's, man. They're not fun.
-Have fun! (so cliche) Respect the other roleplayers here and have a positive attitude, or else you may be asked to leave. Don't take conflict between characters as a personal attack, either. If you have issues with another player, keep it out of the forums and PM me about it.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 9 authors
Or was she? The healer asked her for help. It was similar to what she did before - recklessl acting. This time it was for distraction. Francine would cringe at the thought that she could have harmed the little boy because the white haired man was more skilled. Yet, the child was still alive, it didn't have any blade wounds yet. If nobody acted, the little thief would be dead.
"I'll do what I can." Fran whispered to Abraham.
Distraction for the white haired man. How could she pull this off without causing more harm? Abraham would need time to cast the barrier. Artos was fast and skilled. The others trying to stop her could get harmed too. However, Fran trusted Abraham's strategic skills.
Francine quietly went behind Artos, grabbed his wrists and started squeezing them, hoping she would weaken his grip, or at least distract him so she could win some time for the rest. Fran would be at least annoying enough to weaken Artos' focus. She tried to avoid causing needless violence as it could easily backfire. It was all a diversion.

The world that the three Dreamers have woken up to find themselves in. It's a pretty odd place, yaknow. Sort of like a weird, spiced up fairy-tale or something.

Quies ↪ Wickerbattle Owner: _wICKed_
The Wickerbattle forest is a place where no one goes in alone. Or rather, where no one goes in at all. The plant people seem to pass through it safely, but anything else? Not so much.

Quies ↪ Tall Twelve Towers Owner: _wICKed_
The largest city in Quies. If Quies had capitals, surely TTT would be it. However, it doesn't, so it's not.

I've been insanely busy, but I'll be making another post tomorrow sometime and then we'll be moving along with the story shortly after that.
EDIT: Please no more posts for today! I have to read and catch up ;_;

...Urge to have Mary hear the scream and come rushing out ready to hold him at gunpoint as an establishing character moment rising, even if it would never possibly end well. Still, might as well wait to see what everyone else does first. No sense getting my character cut down and possibly killed by the most powerful PC in the roleplay right off the bat. :/
...Oh, who am I kidding. She's gonna do it anyway.

Re: Far From Home: REBOOT
With that awkwardness out of the way, Layla talked to me about this RP, and I was looking it over, and it looks lovely, but I do have a few questions about the pawn.
Why is he a pawn? And to whom? One cannot be a pawn without someone to command them, or do you mean they are someone who is easily manipulated? Or someone that was cursed to take commands for specific people or everyone? I am open to any of them, or if you want, we can talk it over PMs, but I would love to take the pawn. I will probably make him male to keep the gender ratio, hm, I have not the faintest clue on what FC I will use as that is something I ponder on for a long time as I write.
Passwords:
My favorite book... that is a rather tough question to ask. I have always loved Dante's Inferno for its creative punishments and poetic nature (although I am slightly more fond of Purgatorio), mm, I really enjoyed Stephen King's Cell, I thought that was a very dark and creative spin on Zombies. Legend of the Five Rings is an amazing series and is akin to reading A Song of Ice and Fire if said novels took place in Feudal Japan. The Deltora Quest series may not be the best written books, but they were a large part of my childhood along with the Artemis Fowl novels.
I always enjoyed the Gotreks and Felix books for a more 'gritty' feel of high fantasy, and Grudebearer has some of my favorite portrayals of dwarfs in fantasy.
Least favorite characters, I have so many. I despise many video game characters such as Galen Marek, Kratos, the new Dante, MGS Raiden, and I know many people love him, but I have never been fond of the Witcher.
If you want tv shows... hm, from Hell on Wheels, I loathe the Swede, but I adore the actor for making such an amazing character. I have an intense hatred for Ramsay Bolton which started when I was reading the book series (I liked Game of Thrones before it was cool to do so), and I consider Ramsay to be a far worse person then Joffrey ever was. I also hate the Mountain more then I hate Joffrey.
Novels.. Kaldor Draigo is someone I will always hate, I wasn't crazy about Legolas from the Lord of the Rings books (that said, I am not overly fond of elves in the first place), and childish as it is, I do hold some grudge to Akodo Toturi from Legend of the Five Rings as while he, himself, was a decent written character, he is the indirect cause of the death of one of my favorite characters and the near insanity of another of my favorites.
