FATAL FASCINATIONS

The Story |

Eight young adults are about to find themselves in a situation none of them ever thought they’d be in. With the advancements in exploration of the modern day, it’s hard to believe anywhere would be left untouched! It all starts with a plane ride. Girl A and two best friends (girls B and C) go on a trip to China to volunteer for the summer at an orphanage, expecting to spend the summer not only bonding together and forgetting their woes at home, but also helping out the needy. Girl D is headed to France, having decided to move away from her home in the States to start a new life on her own. Boys 1 and 2 are on an exciting once-in-a-life time trip to Everest, and Boys 3 and 4 plan to back-pack through Europe, covering as much ground as they can before having to return home.
The airport is jammed with people, all waiting or rushing to get somewhere. By fate, all eight young adults board the same flight, Flight 209. The air is ablaze with excitement and the shuffling of bags as the group unknowingly board a plane that will take them on the wildest adventure they’ve ever been on.

Plot|
We will begin where the rp died off, which conveniently is just as we arrive on the island. The plot is that the plane goes down in the middle of the ocean and the eight young adults all end up in the same life-raft. They watch, horrified, as the other rafts drift away from them in the night. They spend two days at sea before they wake up one morning, crashed onto a sandbar. In the distance is a seemingly deserted island. Is the island really empty? Will they ever make it back home? Can they survive the harsh conditions of their situation? Will someone find love? Let’s find out!

The Twist|

This will be a surprise for everyone involved later in the role play.
"Did you hear that...?"

In addition to Girl A I will also be playing any number of minor characters that we need to move the plot along. Feel free to do the same if needed, no character sheet will be required for such characters as a flight attendant, someone else on the plane, and all other NPCs.

Mkay, so Rules...

A. All characters must be at least 17 years old, or older. I'd prefer an age range from 17-25 to keep them all in youth and around the same age for drama, love, and fighting ( Let's give them all a fair shot, eh?).

B. No forcing other characters to do what you want; either ask in OOC first or leave it open for the character's owner to accept or deny your intended action.. ( Duh..?)

C. Be literate... if grammar scares you, this isn't a role play for you.

D. Try to post at least once every few days. Let u know if you have to leave for a few days in the OOC so we can gently move your character out of the way so that everyone else can still post.

E. Have some fun! Be creative. If you want to know if something is okay to add into the role play, just post on the OOC thread or PM me. ( I love a good twist! )

F. Be committed... This has already died once lol I've broken out the life support. xD

G. You don't have to, but if you'd like to, tell me your favorite song. If you're like me, it's the favorite song of the week, or day.. haha

As always, what I say goes as GM, and I have the right to change the rules without notice or warning. (Probably won't, but it's kinda cool to say. :D)

Know Your Limits : I enjoy the guts and gore of a fight or infection.

This is an ACTION and LOVE role play!

“Flight 209 now boarding. Flight 209 now boarding.” The overhead speaker of the airport blared a muffled and scratchy intercom voice, that was nearly lost in the sea of sound throughout the massive room. Natasha Everem glanced up from her waiting seat by the window, her carryon held snuggly between her knees. With a pamphlet on the Chinese orphanage she was going to help held between her teeth, she struggled to shoulder her heavy backpack while juggling her purse. After securing the pack, she adjusted the purse onto her shoulder. “Now boarding zone 3.” Natasha stepped into line, and filed onto the plane while taking slow and deep breaths. She hated planes. They were like tin cans being tossed by a giant to her, able to fall from the sky at even given moment.

–If God wanted me to fly, he would have given me wings..- she thought wearily to herself as she cautiously made her way through the tight isles of the plane. –You’re doing this for the children you’re…- “doing this for the children, you’re doing this for the chil-“ She stopped herself, realizing she had begun to speak aloud and was drawing unwanted attention to herself. With an embarrassed smile she sank slowly into her seat, 23C. The seat on the isle, as far away from the window as possible.

As the plane began to take off, Natasha pressed her head to the back of the seat and braced herself on the seat in front of her. “Are you alright?” asked Willow, who was sitting beside her. Unable to open her mouth, for fear of vomiting, Naty just nodded solemnly. – Oh, God… please let me get off this plane alive… Oh please… Remember I’m doing this for orphans… For orphans! That has to count for something… doesn’t it?- Shaken from her thoughts by the sudden jerk of the plane vaulting into the air, Natasha grabbed the paper bag in front of her and proceeded to release her breakfast into it. This was going to be a long flight.

As the female drifted to sleep in her all black workout jogging suit, complete with matching black running shoes for comfort on the plane, she began to slump lower and lower in her seat. With her backpack clutched to her chest as a pillow, the young female rested behind the cascades of her blonde hair which fell over her face in a messy, lose ponytail. Her sapphire blue eyes were hidden behind her lids as she began to drift farther and farther asleep. The pills she took earlier were already kicking in, thank goodness!

Willow couldn't help but giggle at Natasha as her friend ignored every word she was saying to her. So caught up in her own phobia of a world, Willow just let Natasha do her thing. Offering to hold her purse, and being ignored, Willow tried to keep her laughter quiet knowing better than to poke fun at someone's real fear. Assuring Natasha that it would be fine to step onto the plane, that nothing was going to happen, and that she had done this a hundred times before, Willow nearly had to shove her friend down the isles of the plane. The chopsticks she had placed into her hair had been taken from her at security, so now her hair hang in loose brown cascades around her face and down her back. The heat on the plane due to all the bodies was nearly unbearable!

With a frustrated sigh, Willow sat quietly beside Natasha and held the paper bag full of vomit while she looked around hopelessly for a flight attendant. As one came by, Willow held out the bag and gave an apologetic smile. Freed from her puke duties, she sat back against her seat, 23B, the middle seat. From here she had a safe view out the window if she wanted it, and a clear view of the isle so she could people watch. Willow loved flying. She had been flying since she was very little, on trips to Disney World, the Bahamas, South America, and once before to Europe. Reaching up to twist open the tiny air vent, she purred in delight at the reward it offered. Her sea-green eyes browsed over the many passengers of the plane, spectating aloud to her friend beside her; " I bet she's a sugar baby... look at how young she is... way too pretty to be dating that old man.. Way too pretty...mmm.. And that one? Oh, well she's definitely a black widow... she must be on her fifth husband already! Of course, she doesn't love any of them... A gold-digger.. Look at that diamond! Yep. A gold digger."

Resisting the urge to pull her camera out of her carryon bag, Willow began to pick at her grey tanktop and nibble on her bottom lip. With a peek out the window at the clouds, she couldn't help but grin. "China.... Can you believe it?! This is going to be a trip to remember... just you wait... It's going to be the trip of a life time..."

By the time the plane finally started boarding the commercial class people, Jackson had almost finished his book. Shakespeare's Hamlet, a lovely book, he'd read it many times before. Usually he only read books once or twice, three times if he really liked the material or couldn't get his hands on another book at that moment. But Shakespeare was definitely one of those people who wrote amazing things, and it truly did catch Jack's attention. Heck, every time he read the book he learned something new about it. Truly fantastic, at least in his mind. But his family usually just looked at him like he was crazy. There was no doubt that his traveling buddy, Ronnie, probably thought that he was a nerd. None of this bothered him though, because he didn't mind being "crazy" or being a "nerd". He liked reading, what was so bad about that? Unlike the other idiot children at the college he attended, they would amount to nothing if they didn't step up.

Abandoning the previous thoughts, he gathered up his belongings and stood up. "C'mon Ronnie, I think they just called us." With a smile, he carefully placed his book in the carry on and threw the bag over his shoulder. "By the way, I call the window seat." Before his friend could protest, Jackson began towards the flight attendant. She was younger, probably under thirty, which would make his job all the more easier. "I'm sorry ma'am, would you mind letting my friend and I on before the others?" Though she seemed to be a bit taken with his charming grin, she still looked as if she was going to decline. Quickly he said, "See, my friend isn't the best on planes," he easily lied. "And I was hoping the longer he was on, the more comfortable he'd get." As if the excuse was actually a good reason to let them on, she allowed them entrance. Sitting himself a 22C, he retrieved his book again.

That morning, a lot of things happened. Soda had forgotten to turn her phone off vibrate, so she didn't wake up until it had vibrated so much that it fell off of the dresser and into the garbage, creating a long banging noise that she mistook for a gun shot. Sitting up quickly, she immediately assessed herself for wounds, and then after finding nothing, turned her attention to the room around her. It was still the unorganized mess that it always was, and she quickly figured out that it was just her phone that had caused her to be so frightened. After retrieving the device from the garbage, she kicked her blankets off and stomped over to the bathroom. Today was not going to be a good day, she had work, meaning that idiot was probably going to try and get her to go out with him again. If only Europe could come sooner, but the trip was tomorrow...

The thought made her pause, and she quickly backtracked to her bed and snatched the phone up. Eyes gone wide, she stared at the screen just as it began buzzing again and she dropped it back to the bed. Today was the day!, and she was going to be late. With a speed that she didn't know she could possess so early in the morning, she quickly traded her sleeping clothes for her airplane clothes, black jeans and a loose, grey American Eagle top with a black wolf on the front. It was thin enough material that she wouldn't be hot, but it also had longer sleeves so in case her hands got cold she could wrap them up. Gloves were simply overrated.

Stuffing most of her clothes in a bag, and then the rest of her electronics in another bag, she dashed downstairs. The first thing she got was all her candy. Who didn't bring candy on a plane trip? And the next was a water bottle, two Tylenol's, and an apple. Luckily there was someone getting out of a cab right in front of her apartment, and she quickly jumped on the chance to steal the vehicle before someone else could. "Airport please, quickly." It seemed luck was on her side yet again, because there was very little traffic and the driver was kind enough to speed a tad bit. Apparently her nervousness was showing, though it didn't surprise her much.

Soda arrived just as the attendant was about to close the door. "Please, please let me in.", she begged as the flight attendant asked to see her papers. After fishing them out of the bag, the lady let her inside with a slight scowl. Rushing down the ramp, she quickly boarded the plane and sat in her assigned seat, 24C, right next to the isle. And a boy?

Boarding the plane was no walk in the park. First trouble, was actually getting on the plane itself. The rush of people in the airport only made it harder for Alli to navigate her way. It wasn't easy at all. Especially with Nat close to hyperventilating for her fear of flying. "Haha, it'll be alright." Alli would say from time to time while laying a comforting hand on Nat's shoulder. Once on the plane, Alli was seated right behind Willow and Nat, who were sitting together.

Nat, however, was not looking good. Do I have to repeat that everything will be fine a hundred times? Oh well, it's Nat's first time flying, got to cut the girl some slack. But Nat was giving of a rather funny face. Oh shoot, I know that face. Alli looked away as she heard the nearby Nat puke. Then she heard Willow giggle lightly. This started to make Alli laugh heartily. Yes, this will be a great trip. I can finally ease the stress I have been carrying a while now.
Alli observed her surroundings. A few seats up it was hard not to notice a girl with bright blue hair. Wish I was crazy enough to try that color, but it looks good on her. "China.... Can you believe it?! This is going to be a trip to remember... just you wait... It's going to be the trip of a life time..." Willow said aloud, interrupting Alli's thoughts. She leaned in to answer.

"Of course it'll be a trip of a lifetime! I'm looking forward to the food, the sights, the food, the culture and hey...did I mention food?" Alli gave a playful wink. "The hardest part about this trip is getting through the flight, because it's going to be soooo boring! Come one, you guys are asking me to sit down for hours doing nothing, not my kinda thing." She let out a fake yawn. "This boredom better be worth it in the end." Alli tried to stretch from where she was sitting, but the airplane seats were doing what they do best...being an uncomfortable pain in the ass. Why can't they design better chairs? Jeez. Alli glanced over at a flight attendant, who was wheeling in champagne in a room ahead of them. Somebody's lucky in first class. She thought dryly.

In a few moments all the passengers will be seated and they could finally take off. You can do this Alli. She said while brushing her red hair with her hand. Boredom will not exceed you. She then noticed she had no one seated next to her. What a convenience, looks like I have no poor soul to annoy for the trip so far. Oh well. Alli took a rubber band out of her purse and gave a half smirk. Rubber bands, a pranksters best friend. Glad I brought a few for the trip. Maybe I won't die of boredom. She gave another smirk and twirled the rubber band in her hand.

Ronnie got settled in his seat next to his friend Jackson.
"Man." Ronnie said, grinning. "I am so excited. Can you believe this? This is going to be an unforgetable trip man!"
He opened up his bag, which was filled with chocolates, chips, and a bunch of other sugary junk food.
"Got these while I was at the store- should be enough to last us for the return trip as well. I still have my sleight of hand- didn't pay a single dime for these. Want a Twinkie?"

Liam had already spent his morning in a plane. He came from the mountains of Colorado, and had to take a flight starting at four AM just to get to the connecting flight here, which is another unspeakable amount of hours. As such, his appearance was a little ragged, with messy blonde hair that he did his best to comb out with his fingers. His blue-gray tee shirt had a small Coca-Cola stain from a mishap at breakfast with Marc. At least the coke did it's job, he thought. I'm awake.

He'd spent most of the morning trying to sleep, so navigating this new airport to find the food court was an adventure through barely open eyes. He'd gotten a nap out of it, but it wasn't much. After eating and drinking something caffeinated, he had no trouble making it to the next gate. He sat down and checked over his carry-on bag, making sure everything was still there. It wasn't much, just enough to get them through the hotel for a night before they started their hiking trip. Almost all of his hiking gear and clothes (mostly snow gear and various weather clothes) and living utensils were in his suitcase, below the plane.

Liam boarded the plane less like a zombie this time around, shuffling through the line with his backpack in hand. He chose a middle seat, leaving the window seat to Marc if he wanted to take it. Liam was personally a fan of just taking his assigned seat, but he knew some passengers shifted around for their own enjoyment. He hadn't been sitting for very long, probably fifteen minutes, when a girl with vibrant blue hair came scrambling down the aisle to take a seat near him. She seemed to be in a rush. Maybe airplanes stressed her or something. Liam didn't like to see people stressed, as he knew the feeling far too well. He pulled out a bag of trail mix from his backpack and opened it up. He took a few pieces for himself and then offered it to her, shyly saying, "Do you want some? I don't know, sometimes I feel better once I've eaten some food I guess..." He hoped she wouldn't look at him funny for his nice gesture. It happened more than he'd like to believe or admit.

Marc rubbed the right side of his face with his hand and mumbled something intelligible as he followed Liam through the airport, almost in a daze. After a couple of a false starts due to repeated yawning he shook his head and tried again, saying that he'd catch him up at the plane. After finding a restroom in order to freshen up somewhat he stared at his reflection in the mirror and came to the conclusion that the journey to this stop over seemed to have hit Liam as hard as it him, going from how ragged they both looked. He splashed a few handfuls of water over his face, lightly rubbing the couple of days stubble before stifling yet another yawn. They were beginning to get on his nerves.

He'd visited the food court and grabbed a couple of bacon sandwiches to settle his stomach after the flight, which he washed down with a bottle of coke. After letting it settle slightly he made his way towards the plane, lightly flipping a coin as he navigated through the security checks and gate on the way. "Surely I'm already on the checked side, why is there always additional ones..." he muttered after yet another en route to the plane.

Just before crossing the gangway onto the plane he popped into a nearby shop (which was conveniently ever so slightly more expensive than previously) and purchased a couple of bottles of water and one of coke for the rather longer flight. Luckily it contained a meal, even if it was likely be a horrible meal it was better than nothing. He showed the attendant his pass and boarded the plane, shrugging his backpack onto his shoulder again as he did.

He carefully made his way up the asle towards his seat and half smirked, half rolled his eyes as he saw he'd have to uproot Liam and some blue haired lass to get to his seat. "Hey mate, settled in eh?" he joked and lent against the seat nearby before turning to the girl "Excuse me but can I get past to the seat?" He thanked her as he shuffled past and made himself comfortable as he stowed his bag under the seat. "See you in a few hours." He said, nodding at Liam as he ran his fingers through his hair before pulling his Indiana Jones-esque hat down over his eyes and leaning back into the chair.

Approximate time on plane: Eight hours. Location: The middle of the ocean.

Natasha was awoken by a violent rattling of the airplane. Beside her Willow looked completely calm as she stared out the window, as if this sort of thing were normal. Daring to peek around her, Naty noticed that it was pitch black outside, and that the clouds, the gusts the she could see of them, were soaring by them. With growing alarm she began to panic, jumping from her seat and yelling for help but no one seemed to notice. Everyone kept about their merry way, even as the plane soared straight for the water. With a scream she threw herself onto her chair and clung to it just as the plane was hitting the water and crushing the entire front half. Water rushed in, filling the cabin. As the water began to come up over her head, and with her last gasp of air—she woke up.

Gasping for air and in a sweat, she looked around the calm cabin of the plane. Breathing a little heavily, she attracted a flight attendant who worriedly bent down to ask if she was alright. "She's fine," chimed in Willow with a smile. "She's just one of those people... you know, the ones terrified of planes?" As Natasha was busy catching her breath and giving a small nod, the plane jerked suddenly. Eyes growing wide, Natasha looked to the attendant in alarm. “Everything’s alright, miss, it’s just a bit of turbulence. Completely normal,” the sweet flight attendant assured her. With a nervous glance back to Alli for some reassurance, Naty glanced to her watch. "My grandmother's watch..." Willow glanced over and looked at what had upset Naty now. "It's just stopped working, Willow... Alli, my watch stopped working!" With growing alarm, Naty shifted in her seat and passed her watch back to Alli, hoping she could fix it or something. Willow rolled her eyes and glanced to Alli, circling a finger by her temple to indicate that Naty was nuts. Giggling as Naty shoved her book bag onto Willow's lap, Willow tried her best to look upset as Natasha stood up from her seat in a rage. Jerking her hair bow out of the tips of her hair, since it was about to fall out anyway, Naty stormed her way to the tiny bathroom at the back of the plane. Sliding the lock into place, she let out a heavy sigh and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked rough. Slipping her hair bow onto her wrist for temporary safe keeping, Naty ran her fingers through the blonde mess in an attempt to make it look a little better.

Just then the ‘Fasten Seat Belt' sign flashed on and the captain came across the overhead. In as calm a voice he could, he slowly informed the passengers that they were going down. Assuring them that everything would be alright, he asked that everyone remain calm, return to their seats, and fasten their safety belts for a rough landing. As the cabin began to rock more violently Natasha was thrown into the wall of the bathroom, too stricken by what the captain had said to be able to move. Willow's eyes grew wide as she held her carryon between her legs, and Natasha's in her lap. "Ma'am! Ma'am! My friend-- she's in the bathroom!" Willow called to a rushing by flight attendant. The plane began to shake harder and the clouds cleared in the window to reveal the black depths of the sea, only visible by the moonlight. Within moments they would make impact, and the captain came over the intercom again, advising everyone to brace themselves, and reminding them of the exits, flotation devices, and safety rafts.

The flight attendant was banging on the door to the restroom, bringing Natasha back to her senses. She was just about to open the door when the plane made contact with the water, sending her slamming into the wall of the tiny restroom once more, only this time her head made contact with the wall, dazing her.

The impact was as Willow would have imagined a head on collision between two trains would sound. The sound was deafening, and the belt around her waist had done it's job at keeping her in place, but had definitely left a bruise. Looking up from her seat, all of first class was crunched up. There was no way anyone up there could have survived. With the only useable door now at the back of the plane, and over the wings, people rushed to escape the sinking plane. Three flight attendants had survived and were trying to direct the flow of traffic and assist people with their life vests. The first wave of people were out and in the water, instructed by the flight attendant to abandon their belongings as it would only weigh them down. They assured everyone that the emergency beacon would work, and that help would arrive soon. Willow shoved her small carry-on (her camera bag) into Natasha's already full bookbag and zipped it closed. "Alli, Natasha's in the bathroom!" Willow looked around desperately for a way to get to the bathroom, but the flow of traffic was working against her. "Why is she not coming out?" With increased worry, it was finally her turn to get into the isle to exit the plane. "I'm not leaving without her!" "Ma'am, please, we will get your friend off the plane, please, we have to evacuate everyone." The flight attendant looked like she meant business, and never one to create waves, Willow looked to Alli with a sick feeling in her stomach. Following the line of people that were jumping into the water, Willow fumbled with her seat cushion that was supposed to work as a life vest. Glancing to the floor her heart started to bound harder in her ears... jet fuel was beginning to soak the carpet of the plane, the smell overwhelming. - How am I going to put this on and keep the bags?- she thought worriedly. The flight attendant didn't seem to notice, or care, if Willow followed the instructions on the bag detail, so Willow jumped down the inflated escape route by the right wing. As she left the plane, darkness swallowed her and it was as if she were in some horrific scene from Titanic. The other two flight attendants had already inflated 4 rafts, and they were all full. The remaining people clang to the sides of the rafts in the water with their life vests on, weighing the rafts down to a dangerously low level in the water.

The weight of the bookbag was surprising, but Willow was determined to save her camera from the salty depths. Keeping the bag above her head, out of the water, she struggled to get the life vest flat on the water. Once it was, she sat the bag on top of the seat cushion that floated effectively on the water. "Alli!? Alli, where are you!?" she called into the darkness, scared that her voice would be lost among the calls of everyone else who were also searching for loved ones. She and everyone else were drifting further and further from the plane, and Willow started to panic. She haddn't seen Natasha get off the plane. "NATASHA! Natasha where are you!?" she cried, her stomach twisting as she looked around helplessly in the water.

Meanwhile, back on the plane

The flight attendant took one last look around the plane and was about to jump off and into the water when one of the live wires snapped loose and set the jet fuel ablaze. The poor woman didn't even have time to think. Within seconds, an explosion ruptured through the air, blasting the plane in two. Now in flames, the two halves of the plane began to sink.

Natasha screamed, having made it out just seconds before the explosion. The flight attendant had shoved her down the escape hatch on the opposite side of the plan than her friends. Sobbing, Natasha rubbed at her eyes. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. Her head was pounding, and the light from the fire was just a haze in her vision. Shaking her head in an attempt to clear her head, she looked around in panic. "Alli?! Willow?!" her voice was little more than a whisper, despite her efforts to yell. The shock was just too much. The salt and jet fuel taste in her mouth made her want to vomit, but the will to live made her hold it together. -Focus, Naty... Focus..- Taking a breath, she looked around, growing more and more exhausted by the minute. She had never been a very strong swimmer. Catching sight of the flight attendant, burnt and bleeding out, but holding something, Natasha swam closer to her. On her vest was a small light, and in her arms was a big orange bundle. -What is this... A life raft!- Feeling as if God had sent her an angel, she silently thanked the sweet attendant and pried the package from her arms. Swimming away from the sinking metal, Naty looked around, seeing only shapes in the water but hearing a muffled noise from people. The blast must have been louder than she thought. Her ears felt like she had just been to eight metal concerts standing in the front row. Yanking on the raft's string, she was overcome with joy as the orange life raft came to life. Using what was left of her strength, she pulled herself into the raft. She was alive. It was a miracle.

Willow watched in horror as the plane bubbled to the bottom of the ocean, but her heart jumped for joy as she saw in the distance another raft. Unable to find Alli in the sea (pun not intended) of people, Willow began to swim for the raft with all her might, pulling the seat with her and Natasha's belongings on it. -Oh, please let there be room for one more.. please.. please...- As she made it to the raft, she could have died of happiness. "Natasha!" she cried, tears of joy running down her face. Some others had already found the raft, and she gently tossed the bag inside, accepting any help offered to her as she climbed inside. The eight man raft looked a lot smaller now that she was in it, the small triangle opening keeping out some of the sea spray. "Alli?" Willow looked around as she huddled next to her friend, holding her. Was she here? Peering into the darkness, she tried to see if she could identify her friend. She couldn't swim very well, Willow should never have gotten off the plane without her! Feeling guilty, but lucky to be alive, Willow huddled closely to Natasha who was struggling to remain awake. "I.... I think I have a concussion.. " Natasha mumbled. "W-where's Alli?"

Soda let out a relieved sigh, the boy didn't seem to be angry at her for jumping into her seat like that. It had probably been really rude of her, but of course she hadn't realized it until now. That was just like her, not thinking about her words or actions until it was actually through with. Probably what got her in trouble so often too. The foster home "parents" had always scolded her about it, and it was just another thing for the other children to pick on her for. And to get mad at her for, as this often gave them the perfect reason to beat up on her. All because of her, well, social ineptitude. Though she could be very, very friendly, and talkative, and hyper, and everything else really. But sometimes her remarks came out... well not how she had expected them too.

Reaching down she pulled her book, The Hangmans Daughter, from her bag before stuffing it back under the seat. From there she crossed her legs underneath her and sat the book in her lap, glancing over at the boy who was now offering her food.

It actually took her a moment to register it, and when she opened her mouth to reply another boy suddenly appeared and asked to get by. Just nodding, she slipped back so that the seat tilted up a bit and it left him room to get through. Blinking twice, she turned back to the other boy, the one that had offered her food.. trail mix. "Yeah- I mean, yes. T-thank you." After staring for a few more seconds, she pushed herself into action and grabbed a few M&M's and raisins before throwing them back into her mouth. "Trail Mix is amazing, next to Chex Mix," Soda began, shifting back into her normal, hyper, talkative self. "But when we - I - went hiking, I always ended up taking Trail Mix. Maybe because all I really ate in the Chex is the little golden thingys, but all I eat in the Trail Mix is the M&M's and raisins, so I don't know." A bit wide-eyed, she turned back to him, clearly blushing. "I'm sorry."

Setting his book back in his lap, and taking out one of his earphones, Jackson turned to his friend as he sat down. After listening to him though, he found himself frowning. "You really shouldn't steal things, Ronnie." Shaking his head in a... well he almost felt like a parent when he did things like that. But he really didn't want his friend to get into trouble, especially not while they were on the flight of his dreams. How long had he wanted to get out of that little, boring town? Well, since he'd been born there, probably. Though it felt sort of silly for Jackson to be scolding Ronnie, when he himself could often be found... borrowing things.

Really, if he couldn't even bring himself to say the... s word, do you really think he was that big of a criminal? Hardly did he borrow things over five dollars, it was just the thrill that he desired, the want to.. be caught. Not that he ever had been. Though he had to laugh when Ronnie offered him a Twinkie. "Nah, I'm good, thanks." Rolling his eyes jokingly, he put his earbud back in and continued to read.

Eight hours ago she had boarded the plane. Sixish hours ago she had fallen asleep, something she would feel really bad about since she had been speaking with the kind boy beside her. Four hours ago she had woken up, gotten a drink, and then went back to sleep. Less than a minute ago she was violently jerked out of her seat, the belt digging sharp into her stomach and making her breaths come in sharp gasps. When she finally looked around, she noticed water. In the plane. Wasn't water like, a million feet below them? And... was it terrible to say that as soon as she got the belt off, she jerked her bag out from underneath the seat? Pulling the drawstring onto her back, she took a moment before leaping up and trying to get a better look around. "Holy sh-", was the only thing out of her mouth before she leaned back down and tried to pull the two boys that had been beside her to their feet. They needed to find... oh, er, rafts! Did planes have rafts? Letting go of them, she threw them a pleading look. "Please, you need to help." Well, she tried to sound as "begging" as she could, but considering she had to scream it probably hadn't sounded as she'd wanted.

Sending one last pleading look, she began for the back of the plane. Unfortunately that was when the explosion happened and she was thrown back onto the part of the plane she'd been on before, holding desperately onto one of the seats to avoid falling right into the water.

Jackson woke up to the screaming passengers around him, almost just in time for the plane to crash into the water. Without the seatbelt on, he was thrown into the air and landed in the aisle. Multiple people seemed to step on and push him out of the way before he could finally get up. Reaching back, he tried to find Ronnie, but it was unsuccessful. He wasn't finding anyone in this mess. When the plane exploded, he was thrown into the water. At that moment, all he could think of was that he was going to do. That he would never be a writer, or an engineer. That he would die from either the freezing waters or he would be unable to swim any longer and he would drown. Though as he broke through to the surface, a new thought dawned on him. There had to be lifeboats around here, right? Spotting something that looked a hell of a lot like one, he began pushing himself towards it, trying to avoid the debris and other passengers. He didn't dare try and look at them, most likely a lot of them weren't even alive anymore.

[ Hello! Sorry it took me so long!

Oh, and Dreamer, I sort of GM'd by saying that Soda had spent her time talking to Liam.. and how she fell asleep doing so. Feel free to tell me to change it, or just ignore it! :D

Edited yet again. ]

Just a few more hours and we'll be there... Alli refused to look out the window, for the sight of the ocean gave her the chills. She kept her attention on her next devious plan. Looking around, she saw more then half the people on the plane were asleep. Which one...She thought gleefully. That's when her eyes caught a spikey-haired asian guy dozing off, with some twinkie wrappers blanketing over his chest. Bingo. Using two fingers for leverage, she catapulted her rubber band directly unto the guy's face. At first he just dusted it off in his sleep, and continued snoring. I see, this one's a heavy sleeper. Alli got another rubberband from her purse and aimed it at the guy once again. Finally he jolted up in his sleep with a "Wha-what?!"
Alli did the best she could to choke back the laughter.

The sudden shock of Nat gasping for breath surprised her. "Hey are you alri-" But instead Alli was met with Natasha's watch. "Alli, my watch stopped working!" Gazing at the watch that was now in her hands, it turned out Nat was right. Alli picked at it for a bit, rewinding and fast forwarding the time, but it still froze. Seeing as it was an old watch, Alli presumed the gears just malfunctioned. Nothing to worry about. Willow's right about Nat being on the coo-coo side of things. But when Alli finally took her eyes off the watch, she noticed Nat wasn't seated down anymore. Where did she go?

Then Alli heard a strange beep. The sign to fasten the seat belts was on. "Wait, Where is Nat?" Willow shared Alli's equal frustration and seemed to think Nat was in the bathroom. Good, she'll check the bathrooms in the front, I'll check them in the back. But as she tried to do so a flight attendant tried to usher Alli back to her seat. "I need to find Natasha!" Alli urgently yelled and started plopping bathroom doors open. Every time she opened an empty bathroom door, Alli started to get more and more anxious.
The flight attendant raised her voice. "Miss, you need to sit down. It's for your safety."
She pushed the attendant out of her way with aggressiveness. "I NEED TO FIND NATASHA!"

A loud crash resounded as Alli and a few other unseated people flew across the air. The back of her head slammed against a wall and she laid still, the blackness of her mind enveloping her. She blacked out for a long time, unaware of the danger that surrounded her. When her conscious was finally regained, her worst fear came to life. Water was gushing in and not many people alive remained on the plane. Most already jumped out. Alli let out a terrified scream. No, no, no! This can't be happening!

Running to the front of the plane, Alli's legs dragged as the now knee-deep water was filling up. "Willow, Nat, where are you?" Nobody heard her cry. She was alone on the plane, or so she thought. Looking out the window...the monster of her fears was there. The ocean.... She knew staying on the plane was a death sentence. I have to jump out! Maybe there is something floating that I could grab. Alli opened the emergency door and leaped out, her body crashing against the water. The salty water instantly started to sting her eyes.

She swayed her arms uselessly, knowing she couldn't swim. And there wasn't anything to grab as Alli would have hoped. The water started to fill her lungs as she fought to keep her red-head above the water. I don't want to die. With the last bit of energy she had left, she screamed. "Help, somebody please! I can't swim! Hel-" Her call was cut-off as some more water filled her mouth. She kept thrashing her arms, but slowly her head started to sink below the surface. It was a long fight to keep her head above the water, and she was now almost completely out of energy.

((Cue Ronnie?))

Amidst all the chaos after the crash, Ronnie managed to grab hold of a lifeboat filled with a couple people.
"Well, we're in a real bloody dog's dinner aren't we?" He commented.
It wasn't long before he heard a girl crying for help.
"Hello?!" He shouted, looking about to find her. He spotted her arms thrashing above the surface
"Best of British to you folks!" He said to the people on the raft as he jumped to the rescue. Ronnie swam over to her and grabbed one of her arms.
"Hiya totty. Not really the best time for you to be taking the biscuit. I hope I'm not dropping the clanger on you enjoying a cracking swim in the ocean."
Ronnie managed to get Alli onto the raft.
"Alright?"

Liam weakly smiled and nodded, the day's exhaustion still heavy on his mind despite the meal. "I think I'm getting used to this whole flying thing," he told Marc. He squeezed past the two seats before the window and was dozing off underneath his hat in no time. Liam wished he was that comfortable on a plane to pass out before take off.

The girl with the bright blue hair accepted the food he'd offered. She went on to talk about how she preferred Chex Mix and her hiking snack adventures and when she stopped, her cheeks flushed red and she apologized. Liam smiled. He was the same way. Not very talkative, but once he got going he sometimes rambled also. "It's okay, there's nothing to be sorry about. Let me know if you want anymore M&M's or raisins," he said. The conversation eventually died as the girl, who he'd wished he'd asked the name of, fell asleep. It was a long flight, so he did his best not to disturb her the one time he went to the bathroom and back. He kept his arms folded on his lap, not wanting to disturb either of the two sleeping on either side of him. For a while, he gazed out the window and just watched the water. There weren't many clouds out to block the view or change the scenery, so it wasn't long before Liam's head tilted down near his shoulder and he dozed off into a light sleep.

It was the sound of the captain on the intercom that roused him. He spoke a very serious warning, but when Liam came to, he wasn't able to decipher whether it was in his dream or real life. When he looked around, he came to see that it wasn't just a nightmare. Flight attendants were scurrying up and down the aisles, showing people where their life jackets were. Liam was instantly wide awake. He unbuckled his seat belt and threw himself over Marc to look out the window.

Just outside, they were only hundreds of feet above the ocean. Water. Not land. Liam's face paled. He fell back into his seat in shock. His hands began to shake. "Marc," he said, placing a hand on his shoulder and rocking him a bit. "Wake up, Marc! We're going down!" he shouted. He was so occupied in getting his backpack on his back and anything else he could salvage that he didn't think fast enough to wake up the girl next to him before they hit the water. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. One minute they were still in the air, and the next it was as though they had nose-dived into concrete. He lurched forward, his shoulder slamming into the seat in front of him before he fell onto the floor between them. A bolt of pain immediately flashed through his body starting at his shoulder. He had to manually take in a breath of air; the shock had caused him to forget to breathe for a moment.

Everything was in chaos. Even the flight attendants were visibly shaken. Some had even ditched the plane before helping other passengers. Liam felt water run past his hiking sneakers, soaking his socks. He looked down to see salt water rushing into the plane.

He felt like he was just going through the actions he was told to do as he began to make his way for the exit point of the plane. When he got there, he froze. Liam could not physically move his legs. His breathing rate increased as he looked down into the ocean. He was there for five seconds before he turned to go back to his seat. "I can't do this." He began to walk away. "I can't do this." "You have no choice, sir! You have to jump!" A flight attendant grasped the back of his shirt and pulled him backward and then pushed him down into the water.

Liam landed in the water hard, the only thing keeping him afloat was his life jacket. For a few minutes, he couldn't move, or breath. When he could, he was hyper ventilating. His eyes were wide with fear as he frantically looked for something to hold on to. Even better, he saw a life boat. He began swimming towards it. "Help! Oh, my God! Please help!" He screamed. All he could feel was the bottomless depths beneath his kicking feet. All he could see were invisible rip currents and nonexistent sea life all around him. He kept screaming for help as he neared the life boat, choking on the salt water when a wave splashed his face as he swam.

He could vaguely feel someone jostling him, and maybe if he focused he could almost hear his name being whispered... No... Shouted. He jerked suddenly and bashed his head on the window, cursing he moved the hat aside to see Liam leaning over him, his face white as a sheet as he stared out of the window at something. He shook his head slightly and yawned, rubbing his eye slightly before being jerked suddenly by the plane. "mmmh?" he grunted still half asleep before he heard Liam calling his name and shaking his shoulder. Now fully awake he could make out what his friend was saying.

"What do you mean by 'going down' Liam?" was all he had time to say before he got his answer as the plane hit the water. Cursing as he was thrown forwards, slumping into the chair in front but mostly kept in place by his belt. He lay still for awhile, his breath slow and laboured as he regained his senses. He reached under the chair and grabbed his backpack, and readjusted his hat slightly as the water piled in. It seemed as if everything was moving in slow motion, the plane was filling up but it was as if it was frozen as Marc walked through it.

As he reached the ramp out of the plane he could see that most of the crew and passangers were gone, the only ones left were a couple of flight attendants who seemed to have more care for the crew than themselves and the captain who was dragging his wounded co-pilot and shouting at everyone to leave. The noises were deafening but it was all just background noise to Marc as he drifted through the chaos.

At least it was till he hit the water. Reality came screaming back so hard it physically hurt, the fires, the screams, the smoke. It was painful and it distorted everything so quickly. As he'd been sliding down towards it, he'd caught a glimpse of Liam half afloat, half drowning. So he tried to head in the same direction, which was hard but he could just about hear a cry for help coming from the rough area which sounded like Liam. He swam through the darkened waters, his own life jacket helping him, not that he needed it. He saw that his friend had almost made it to a life boat, so he sped up slightly to get there as well.

As he reached Liam, he could see his friend was in trouble and was struggling to breathe, let alone climb into the boat. "I've got you mate, don't worry!" He called out as he grabbed the side of the boat with one hand and Liam with the other, using the ropes around it to lever him up before pushing him inside. Struggling for breath himself at this point he heaved himself up and into the boat. Collapsed on the floor of the inflated boat he let his breathing slow before speaking. "At least we're alive eh?" He said, trying to smile, if only half heartedly.

Natasha was hazily coming to by the time everyone but Jackson and Soda where in the boat. As Ronnie bravely dove into the water after Allie, Natasha was over-come with joy to see her friend. Her head felt like it was splitting open, and the noises around here were still coming in muffled waves but she could plainly here one thing; a loud ringing in her ears. Wincing through the pain of moving, she sat fulling upright and threw her arms around Alli, helping pull her into the boat and into her and Willow's warms. Willow and Natasha both burst into tears, holding Alli close. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have left you, I shouldn't have made us come on this stupid trip!" Willow cried, holding both of her best friends tightly. Natasha could just barely make out two other people in the water, and she pointed them out to the others in the boat. "Someone, help them!" Natasha's voice was rough from crying, but audible enough. Once someone had jumped out to get the remaining two into the boat, Natasha allowed herself to rest against the inflatable walls of the raft. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..." Willow's voice in the background was almost a whimper. At least we're alive eh? Willow looked over to Marc who seemed to have the right idea. He was right. At least they were alive. "I'm so glad you're okay.." Willow said, looking to both Natasha and Alli.

After she had calmed down just slightly, realizing that for now at least both of her friends were alive, Willow looked to Ronnie. "Thank you... Thank you so much..." Tears swelled in her eyes all over again. God bless you... you're an angel.. she thought to herself, but was unable to speak due to crying again.

The raft began to slowly drift away from the site of the crash and wave by wave the group of eight was carried further and further to sea. Within ten minutes, the other rafts and the sounds of the other passengers had faded away. The raft was hot and stuffy, with the tent-like roof over everyone's heads, but Natasha was thankful that it was there. It made her feel safer. As the night drug on, the moon drifted higher into the sky. If the passengers of the tiny life raft were to look outside the triangular entrance they would see nothing but the black of the ocean for miles. Just then a wave hit, and threw water into the raft. Gasping at being soaked all over again, Willow (who was sitting right beside the door, to the left) coughed and pulled away from her friends for a moment to zip up the tent-like flap. That would keep the water from getting in.

Six hours at sea. Sunrise.

When Natasha woke up, the first thing she noticed was that her ears were not ringing as loudly. The second thing she noticed was that her two best friends were with her, and safe. The third, was that her clothes felt like sandpaper. Feelings as though she had not bathed in days, she groaned and slowly sat up. The movement awoke Willow who was beside her. Looking around at the tired and wet crew of their life raft, Willow began to feel more and more helpless. What were they going to do? What were they going to eat? How would they ever get found? She was about to express these feelings to Natasha, when suddenly the entire raft was rocked up onto one side. The left side of the raft had caught something. Fearing the worst, Willow was wide awake now. "Everyone, get up!" she called to anyone who, like her, had fallen asleep after their nightmare of a night.

Again, the raft up-tilted, and slammed back down, sending Willow falling onto Alli's lap and Natasha into Soda's. As the two girls struggled to untangle their bodies, Willow slowly came to a realization.

The raft had stopped moving.

Eyes gone wide, Willow sat bolt upright, and felt underneath her for the squishy feel of water to confirm her belief. "OHMYGOD" was all she could say, as she, in her excitement, fumbled with the zipper. Managing, finally, to unzip the flap she vaulted from the raft and into the shallows of the beach front. "LAND!" she cried, bouncing around in the water excitedly. "We've hit land!" she started crying all over again, apparently very emotional from her recent trauma. With a grin and a laugh Willow grabbed the raft and started to pull it further onto the beach. She was hip-deep in the shallows and managed to pull the raft to calf-deep waters because it was then that the weight of the passengers caused the bottom of the raft to drag the sand. For a small girl like Willow, pulling the raft any further with people in it would have been impossible, so she stopped there and let go, preceding to run onto the sand of the beach and throw herself at the ground, laughing. "We're alive!" she yelled, giggling as she held the ground as best she could. She didn't even care that her outfit was now plastered with sticky and gritty sand.

Natasha waited for anyone else who wanted to vault out at high speeds to exit the raft before carefully grabbing her book-bag and Willow's carry-on as well. She stumbled quietly onto the beach, her legs heavy and dragging in the water. Once she reached the land she stood there in awe of the grandness of the beach. Please tell me this is Africa or somewhere...or Australia... That there's some high and fancy resort just over those hills... she thought to herself as she remained fixed to the spot. "Where are we?" The question was almost a whisper, more a question to herself or God. After a moment, she turned and looked to the band of young people she was with. We look like the rejects of a Survivor audition... Natasha thought to herself.

Alli looked at Ronnie with appreciation in her eyes for saving her. She couldn't speak for she was still choking back water. I was so close to death...but here I am.After coughing a few times, she finally noticed both Nat and Willow where on the raft as well. Thank God, they are alive! Even after all she's been through, she was able to crack upon a small smile. "Can't get rid of me that easily." Her voice croaked as she let out another cough. Her bloodshot eyes looked around herself to see their were other teens who had survived as well. The same blue haired girl I saw before! She also noticed three other new guys were on the boat as well. Now, is a good time for a nap... And she fell unconscious, her tired body uncaring for the current event.

Many hours late she awoke to Willow slamming against her. "What happened?" She mumbled still half asleep. The sound of Willow screaming "Land!" made Alli jolt upright. "Where?!" but her eyes were soon met with the answer to her question. An island, with a huge beach! She jumped out of the boat and keeled, feeling the sand as to see if she was dreaming. "Whoa, this is the real deal..." Her attention was then caught by a hermit crab crawling in the sand. A Dardanus calidus, but this one is a little larger then normal. Plus its abdomen seems to be protected by a pointed shell, rather then a rounded one. The hermit crab fascinated her so much she nearly forgot of her current situation. Stupid Alli! This is not a petting zoo. My friends are probably worried on what to do now.

"It'll be alright, girls." She said confronting her best friends. "We may or may not be near civilization, but it shouldn't be too hard to find food and shelter around here. Water most importantly." Alli didn't have anything except her purse filled with rubber bands and entertainment items. Nothing of use in there. Alli sighed. "What do you say we start looking around the island? Maybe someone does live here, or maybe we can at least find a stream of fresh water. I'll see if I can get the other teens to join."

Ronnie was one of the first guys to walk out of the boat, and Alli took this moment to thank him. "About earlier, thank you for saving my life. I'm Alli." She held out a hand. "You are?" She wanted to at least know the name of the guy who saved her. Plus he probably knew some of the others and it'll be easier to tell them her idea.

Ronnie shook Alli's hand. "All right? Names Ronnie. Ronnie Davis. For a moment I thought you were in a bit of a squiffy there. I did some swimming when I was in Liverpool so, didn't sweat it too much. Although I'm a bit zonked right now. Good thing I still have my bag with me. I need something to cheer me up a bit so, if you'll excuse me.."
He said as he pulled out a large bags of chips from his bag and started stuffing his face.

When the water had burst in through the flaps of the raft he'd jerked awake suddenly due to being the other closest to it. But before he could do anything he saw the girl on the other side had already go up and fastened it shut. He smiled and muttered a thanks before nodding off again. The next he knew was that the girl had pulled open the flaps and was calling out something about land nearby. What really woke him up was the thumb of the raft beaching itself on said land.

He pulled himself up and through the flaps, jumping down onto the sand of the beach. "Well its not Everest... mores the pity." He repositioned his hat to sheild his eyes better from the sun, before walking a little further up the beach to a small outcrop of rocks with trees that had grown over them to form a shaded area with protection from the jungle behind. He put his rucksack down and took off his jacket, placing it next to it.

"Right, water and food." He rubbed his hands together and looked at the area around them.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Mkay, Fab ^^ Good to know you're still here!

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Just have my character stumbling around the island for awhile till others show up. I'd thought this had died hence not replying before.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

All positions are open again, then. I am overhauling this today and starting over. WOOT! We will begin with everyone landing on the island, maybe your characters washed up on another side of the island, who knows. I'll be posting a new Role Players Wanted momentarily. ^^

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

No one.. LOL okay... well, very well then.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Hey everyone! So, I'm going to try and revive this. If you could state that you're here so that I know you're still interested/involved that'd be fantastic ^^ I'm going to reopen roles to replace people that are no longer with us. ^_^

I am really sorry about randomly vanishing I had given up hope after Remy never posted again but I love this role play idea so I'm going to give it one more shot!

So.... who's here? :D

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

I'm still here, I was waiting on others to finish the posting order so that I could move us forward, but they never posted. -shrugs lightly- So, unless you guys want to just skip them (cause I know bandgeek doesn't get on here much anymore, she recently dropped another rp of mine).

It's up to you all, really. Sadly, it's sort of dead as of now. =/

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

I have no idea what happened either >.> I have not heard from the GM in a while.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

I'm guessing that this has somewhat died? also Ronnie eating chips confuses me greatly... unless he was eating crisps and clearly is not English.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Hey there island explorers! I have uploaded and Island character to help you get a feel for the layout of your new home ^^

More detail will be coming soon, but for now I feel like it should clarify anything that I was not clear on before. ^^

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Just wondering why is Ronnie eating chips? surely they'd be cold and a tad horrible by now? o_O

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Well, you posted out of line and it might have thrown people off.

Everyone else, if you could please just go in this order, then I'll post again so that everyone will have posted who hasn't gotten a chance to.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Hey, sorry! No, we are going ahead and rolling. Everyone feel free to post.

I could have sworn this posted yesterday... >.>

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Okay so are we still waiting for bandgeek?

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Haha, I was just about to be like "I love how Soda isn't even on the boat..." since I started at the bottom of the post. :P Thank you. :3 And putting me almost last on the posting list helps a lot too. xD I'll start on the post now.

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Due to how slowly we have all been posting, I decided to move us to the island already instead of doing two days at sea.

I hope you don't mind that I went ahead and gently moved Soda and Jackson into the boat, Bandgeek is in the hospital and it's hard for her to get online right now. So, everyone enjoy :D LAND HO!

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Posted, sorry for the delay. Works been getting on top of me this past week. As it's reveiw week all the students are off so perfect time to get in there and screw with the computers. Or rather fix the damage the students have inflicted.

Hell half of the CAD suite machines were smashed up with buttons missing, keyboards wrong way round with buttons missing and cables cut in half... bloody animals ¬_¬

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Welcome back, and yeah I could honestly never go on anti-depressants (mainly as I think they make it worse tbh) and not like I'd trust doctors enough to be put on them xD

Hell half my body is crippled and in constant agony, and I still go to work because the doctors told me its perfectly find for half your body to shutdown and you collapse, NHS ftw!

But yeah glad you're feeling better and more enthused about your writing ^_^

Re: FATAL FASCINATIONS

Finally posted. :) Thanks for understanding! I'm on an antidepressant and my doctor told me to up the dose when I told her I wanted to change medicines (she's not very bright...) and sometimes that can cause someone to become uninterested in things they usually really enjoy, in this case it's my writing. I was on the upped dose for 2 days before I'm like screwww that, I love writing too much and I already told the lady I didn't want to be on this medicine anymore haha. So I should be fine again for now. :)
