Colton Amberfield

Appearance:

Colton stands at around 5'9 with feathery golden blonde hair. He has unique bright aqua colored eyes, that seem to look everywhere but nowhere at the same time. He has small laugh lines around his mouth from many years of laughing and smiling, you can almost always catch him with a smile. Colton dosn't have a specific style and will really wear anything that is handed to him. He also has a bit of a boyish charm about him never really seeming masucaline. Being a hybrid he is part demon and part angel, which makes his wings a mix of both. His wings neither look like Angel wings nor do they look like Demon wings. It is a mix between the colors white and black coming out as a vibrant grey color. They are also big and feathery giving off an elegent demeanor and a kind of sinister daredevil deamnor.

Personality:
A great way to describe Colton is happy go-lucky. He is a very happy carefree person, who almost seems like a child having no worries in the world. He can be a bit mischievous at times liking to play pranks on people or just doing stuff for his own entertainment. He is kind of like a class clown always trying to make people laugh. Though sometimes he makes people laugh, but not on purpose with his clumsy ways he can accidently mess things up.

Hanging out with Colton can sometimes give you the refreshing sense of innocent though sometimes he can act the complete opposite he is still very sweet and nice. Though most describe him as immature and annoying he still keeps his childish attitude. He always tries to keep a positive attitude and you will usually see him with a smile on his face that is when he's not yapping his mouth. Olivia Anthony

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?!?" Olivia yelled at the top of her lungs as she heard the retreat of footsteps from the other side of the door. Banging on the door she tried to get someones attention, in hopes of the person letting her out.Shaking her head after three minutes of failed attempts she cast a hateful look over her shoulder at the giant luxurious room she was trapped in.

"This is so inhuman." She muttered under her breath walking towards the bed, but only stopping in her tracks midway to the huge king size bed. Inhuman. Could she still even use the word? Olivia furrowed her eyebrows as she remembered flying humans with wings landing in front of her and the other girls. The other girls, where were they anyway? Where were they, where was she? Olivia thought running towards the giant window accompanying one of the walls.

Staring down at the world below her window she let out a breath of disbelief as her eyes searched the scenery. Walking 'people' with wings littered the ground below. All of them seeming as if it was an everyday thing to be dragged down by wings. Olive rubbed her eyes double checking to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her and pressed her face up against the window only to jump back startled as someone zipped past her the glass before her the only thing keeping her from reaching out and trying to touch the man's wings.

"This isent real." She consoled herself denial swelling up inside her chest. "Your just dreaming." She reminded herself nervously pulling one of loose pink ponytails.

Reaching out she pinched her arm only to feel the stinging pain her nails had caused to her soft skin. Letting out a shaky breath she walked towards the bed flopping down onto it.

Colton Amberfield

"Colton! Colton!" The echoing sound of an urgent voiced bounced off the walls, making Colton jump up from his bed alarmed. Worried the he threw open his bedroom door alarm clear in his voice as he came face to face with the cause of the noise.

"What's the matter?" He asked looking down at little girl her short blond hair in a messy braid. "Two guards are here to see you." The girl chirped as she stared up at the her brother.

"Why?" Colton asked brushing past the younger girl her grey feather wings looking much like his own tickling his arm as he passed her.

"I dont know!" The girl said her worried face matching the tall boy's in front of her. "Did you get in trouble?" She asked grasping Colton's arm as he made his way to the front door.

Shaking his head he stopped wearily, his aqua colored eyes staring innocently at the two guards in front of him. "Can I help you?" He croaked out trying to sound strong and assertive but only failing miserably.

"Yes." One of the guards said. "We need your presence at the palace."

"Is he in trouble!" The young girl beside Colton barged in earning all eyes on her.

"No of course not." The guard said his voice lighter as he talked to the girl. "We want him to enter in a very special competition." He smiled down at the child, before his eyes returned to the blonde who they were there for.

Colton nodded a rush of relief flowing through him as he heard the man's words.

Quickly kneeling down in front of the little girl he brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "Thanks Rose for the help, I guess I'll be back soon." He said hugging his little sister. Standing up he exited the house giving Rose a wave as he left their lawn
-
"Right this way." One of the guards barked opening a door and shoving Colton into it. Letting his eyes travel around the room a smile crept its way across his face as his eyes landed on some of his cousins. Walking over to Nell he was about to ask what was going on when someone began to speak.

"Thank you all for coming here today. I hope you all have heard the news about the six human girls. We will be starting a contest today! The six of you will try to win the heart of an assigned human girl, and might I add that the throne will be the prize! The first person who gets their girl to willingly marry wins. You start today."

"Human. Girl. Throne. Marry." Colton mumbled. "This all too much to handle." He said excitedly not really taking the concept of the competition seriously.

Noticing some of the other competitors beginning to leave he glance over at Nell. "May the best man win!" He said heartily playfully punching his arm before following a guard out of the room and towards his assigned girl.

Stopping in front of the door the guard had led him to he nervously fumbled with the door nob trying to open it. Unable to get the door open, he leaned against it trying to open it with his weight. Turning the nob once more the door flew open, making Colton tumble in.

"Ugh." A gush of air flew out of his lungs as he landed on his stomach. Sitting up on his knees he looked around the room his eyes finally landing on a small girl situated on the bed in the room.

Jumping up quickly he ran over to the girl plopping down beside her on the bed. "Hi how are you! My name's Colton nice to meet you! What's your name?! Can I give you a hug, no scratch that, that would be too weird. Umm how about a handshake. Actually no that would be weird too since you have no idea where my hands have been." Colton said excitedly his words slurring together as the sentences gushed out of his mouth.

He eyed the girl as he waited for her response, taking in her short black hair and almost matching blackish brown eyes. Sniffing the air slightly. He smiled "you smell like flowers." He commented innocently.

Prince Raphael Jefferson

It was clear that Raphael was opposed to all this as he stood behind the other competitors for the throne, all vying for control which was rightfully his. He had dedicated the last few years to aide his father to prepare himself for the future when control would be passed to him, instead the fate of them all hung on the balance of this contest. It was wrong, but should he not put his own foot forwards, then the right to rule which rightfully was his, would even more likely not come into being. It seemed that after the death of his mother, the Queen of Angel Central, that things had started to get out of his hand while his father, King of the Shadowlands, remained supreme. Clearly he thought this was a good idea, though perhaps secretly he wished for another demon to take the role as King rather than an angel like himself.

Sure Angels and Demons lived together and there was peace, somewhat, though clearly there was some resentment and some distinctions between the two that continue to shine. Raph only hoped that this whole fiasco would not get out of hand as he listened to the advisor, "Thank you all for coming here today. I hope you all have heard the news about the six human girls. We will be starting a contest today! The six of you will try to win the heart of an assigned human girl, and might I add that the throne will be the prize! The first person who gets their girl to willingly marry wins. You start today", before the advisors divided to each one to tell them who they were assigned to. He simply closed his eyes to catch the names of those already assigned so as soon as his advisor came, he merely responded, "I am aware".

Usually Raph would be standing at the front proudly, but how could he be proud of this venture where his brother and his cousins are all in this to compete against him as rightful heir, fighting over it like vultures. That was not the only problem Raph felt, but the fact they were all 'assigned' a girl, meant that they themselves could not divert from who they had been assigned to, so he feared that if things didn't work out with those they were given, things may get out of hand. Raphael stood still in the chamber as his brother and cousins all left one by one to meet their assigned girl while his advisors kept hassling him to do the same but each time he told him no, before ordering his silence. No longer being hassled, he then raised his voice so that his fellow competitors could hear before they left, "No violence will be tolerated. No doubt your eyes are on the prize, but if your assigned girl refuses or wishes to return home, accept it and not dispute it".

It was certainly a serious matter and one that Raph was concerned about, so after warning his now-competitors, he approached the advisor who had spoken before, "I do hope you will keep this in mind. I find your lack of foresight disturbing, so I highly suggest guards at report stations. I will not have my parents' work destroyed by your games", before turning around and storming out the chamber. It was only when he was out that he dropped his guard a little and sighed, before turning to the advisor who remained with him, "Right, you can lead me to the girl now...". The walk thereafter certainly helped cool Raph down, but it certainly did not make the situation any better. Raph wasn't sure how he should proceed competition-wise, so he simply would be taking part and not playing, solely not wishing to mislead the girl, nor decieve them which is what this whole competition was doing, as he arrived outside the doors of one Izumi Aki, knocked upon it and then waited, being courteous and not wishing to be rude and barge in.

Kimberley Lane

It had happened all too quickly. The last thing that she remembered, last real thing she remembered, was the old man infront of her as she ran away from her brothers' flat to see Yoh in the hospital, but instead she ran round the old man, only to find herself tripping over and slipping over. As you stood on the ground, you had the evidence clearly infront of you that if you sat down, you'd be sitting on the same ground you were standing on. The same expectation was what Kimberley had, as she expects to fall onto the ground in no time at all, but instead she felt like she was falling in a bottomless pit until she suddenly appeared in what looked like a mystical lands from a story book.

Not knowing where exactly where she was or if she was alive, she checked her pulse and noticed that it was still going so death hadn't knocked on her door, but now she found herself trapped with no way back, no way out to see how Yoh was doing, but at the same time she was worried for him, worried what exactly her brother had done to him and if he would come out okay. Now she was truly alone and even more so in this strange place. The only comfort she had held onto was five other girls who appeared out of no-where like her, girls who too had a strange experience and hadn't the foggiest where they was before they were led to this palace and told about this world being full of angels and demons. Wasn't they supposed to enemies or something.

Personally, Kimberley could care less but as long as she knew where she was and that the ground she was standing on wasn't going to fall through, a luxury she had taken for granted, she felt she'd be okay as they were led to their rooms and it was they that she rested until waking up and finding clothes prepared for her on the side. Fat chance she was going to wear those, so it was a good job she was leaving home when all this happened since she had her bag of belongings with her and therefore had the luxury of wearing what she liked, holding onto who she really was. Her experience so far had been that the trust she had in others was misplaced with her father beating her and her mother, her mother doing nothing and then her brothers' advance on her. How can she trust these guys?!

Taking matters into her own hands as she did last night when she insisted to wear her own pyjamas, regardless of how rich and nice the ones offered were, so when she woke, she sat up and saw clothes offered once again, but still stubborn she rejected them and merely just sat up in bed and laying her head on the pillow behind it to merely gather her thoughts together as she closed her eyes and took some silent breathers.

Eve Erimentha

Eve's dark eyes widened in surprise when she heard the door opening, and sat up to see who had entered. Her gaze fell on a blonde haired boy who had seemed to tumble in, and landed on his knees. Of course Eve's eyes couldn't help lingering on the boys grey wings.

Eve's body flinched when the boy suddenly jumped up, and flopped next to her on the bed. "Hi how are you! My name's Colton nice to meet you! What's your name?! Can I give you a hug, no scratch that, that would be too weird. Umm how about a handshake. Actually no that would be weird too since you have no idea where my hands have been." Colton gushed out.

Eve's mind couldn't even really process what he was saying, but had comprehended some parts. "My name is Eve. I'm very confused right now, and don't really know what's happening to me." She said blankly with her face devoid of all emotion. "It would be very helpful if you spoke slower, so I can understand every word your saying." She finished.

Her eyes still could not help staring at Colton's wings. 'Where really am I?' She asked in her mind. Eve turned her head to gaze out of the window. 'Could I be dead. No I would remember my death.' Her thought were running crazy on all of the possibilities.

Nell Ohanzee

Nell silently slipped out of the meeting room, and followed the guard. His eyes narrowed as he thought of ways to make this human swoon for him. 'Well I guess I just have to go with the l flow.' He thought with a grim expression. Nell always liked to have a plan before doing something like this. He needs to get this girl to like him. His chance at the the throne is on the line.

"This is going to be a challenge." He mumbled. 'For gods sake! I don't even know what humans like!' Nell yelled in his head.

"This is the girls room sir." The guard pointed at a door, and walked off.

Taking a deep breath he lifted his pale hand and knocked lightly on the door. "Hello? May I come in?" He asked in a velvety voice with his intrancing eyes fixed on the door waiting.

A soft knock on the door made Livvy jump up from the comfort of the bed she had been previously sitting on. Starled at the sudden sound, after what seemed like years of silence other than her own breathing, Olivia just stood there staring at the door curiously and slight scared of what was lying behind it.

Could it be more people with wings? She asked herself pushing a strand of pink hair out of her face and behind her ear. Whatever it was, it was more polite than most of the people she had come in contact with since being here, wherever here was.

"Hello? May I come in?" A smooth voice asked following after the polite knock.

Eyebrows furrowed Livvy made her way to the door still confused on why someone would knock politely when this wasn't even her room. Clearing her throat she put on a tough face. Getting herself ready to meet this new stranger, she didnt want this person thinking she was some helpless girl, locked in a room, even though she was.

"Ummm...come in." She was finally able to call out her voice sounding unsure of what she was doing. Deciding she wanted to come face to face with the person when they entered the room she stood a foot away from the door waiting, hands firmly shoved in her jean pockets.

Colton Amberfield

"My name is Eve. I'm very confused right now, and don't really know what's happening to me. It would be very helpful if you spoke slower, so I can understand every word your saying." The girl said her face blank and free of even the slightest bit of a smile.

Not being bothered by her cold presence Colton smiled brushing hair out of his eyes. " Your name's really pretty, and sorry sometimes I talk fast when I'm excited, well I guess even when I'm not excited." He said try to slow his words down but just ending up rambling in the end.

"Okay focus Colton." He muttered under his breath his face turning serious.

"Well Eve your in a place called Purgatory." He said staring at her, his eyes searching hers before noticing her constant stare at his wings. " This is a place where both Demons and Angels can live." He continued feeling the need to explain his wings. "This is a very special place because this is where the royal palace is, the exact place your in right now. This is where the first Angel and Demon couple fell in love and got married. They owned this palace becoming King and Queen." Looking at her Colton's gaze traveled down to her lips curious at why the only time he had seen them move was when she spoke.

"Now that you have had your history lesson for today would you like to meet some of the other girls, again?" He asked giving her smile and hoping she wouldn't get the wrong idea at him staring at her lips. "You should smile more often I bet you would look way prettier." After thinking over what he had just said his face dropped. "Not that I don't think your pretty now, because I think you are!" He yelled his words starting to become faster and his face starting to turn a deep red.

"It's just... I don't know. You know what they say, a smile is happiness you'll find right under your nose. That's a Tom Wilson quote." He muttered looking away from her and scratching the back of his neck.

I think I just bumped myself down to last place he thought glumly looking at the opposing wall from where they were sitting.

Nell Ohanzee

Nell's cool hands locked around the door nob when the human girl replied. "Ummm...come in." Nell used little strength to make the door open, but to his surprise the girls face was right in front of him. Nell's blue eyes looked over the girl. 'She looks surprisingly pretty fora human.' He thought.

Suddenly he was pulled back into reality was he realized the situation he was in, and how important the throne was to him. "Oh! How foolish of me. I'm Nell." He said with warm smile, and held his hand out loosely. "What's your name?" He asked.

"If you have questions or concerns I'm the guy to go to." Nell stated while looking into her auburn eyes. "I'm sure your very confused right now." He finished.

Eve Erimentha

'This guy is sure cheerful.' She thought to herself. " Your name's really pretty, and sorry sometimes I talk fast when I'm excited, well I guess even when I'm not excited." Colton rambled.

Eve winced at the compliment. 'It's okay Eve. Don't hurt him.' She tried too calm herself with her thoughts.

"Well Eve your in a place called Purgatory." Colton stared at her. "This is a place where both Demons and Angels can live." Colton stated. "This is a very special place because this is where the royal palace is, the exact place your in right now. This is where the first Angel and Demon couple fell in love and got married. They owned this palace becoming King and Queen." Colton explained.

Eve tried to sort through all of this information in her thoughts, but most of it was a little much to take in at once.

"Now that you have had your history lesson for today would you like to meet some of the other girls, again?" Colton asked.

"That would be nice, cause' they can understand the most about how I'm feeling." Eve explained simply. "But probably not at the moment, considering I have just spent a great amount of time with them." She continued.

"You should smile more often I bet you would look way prettier." Colton said as his face dropped. "Not that I don't think your pretty now, because I think you are!" Colton yelled his face turning red.

Eve shot him a glare, and not because he semi-insulted her. But just because he had called her pretty. Eve sunk to the floor, and held her head. She tried to contain the new raging anger that was building up inside her. Her cold dark eyes flashed up to meet his blue ones.

"I would much appreciate if you didn't use the word 'pretty so loosely." She said trying to hold down her anger. "After all you just met me, but your telling me I'm pretty for my looks. You should like a person for their personality." Eve said coldly.

Olivia Anthony

Bright bue eyes met Olivia's dull auburn ones as the big bedroom door was swung open reavling the polite intruder himself. The boy's light blue eyes making her doubt that this place was so bad after all.

Shaking her head Olivia tried to form the best pissed off look she could manage as her eyes traveled over the boy before her. He stood pretty tall, his lanky body with visible muscles easily taking Olivia by at least six inches. His skin looked extremly pale and matched his long white hair. With the boys soft, pale presence his huge black wings stood out like a sore thumb.

"Oh! How foolish of me. I'm Nell. What's your name?" The boy said his voice filling the quiet room. He offered her a hand a gentle smile on his face.

"Olivia...but my friends call my Livvy." Olivia mumbled taking the boy's hand her slightly tan skin seeming almost like a total contrast compared to his. Eyeing the boy suspiciously she waited as he continued to talk.

"If you have questions or concerns I'm the guy to go to. I'm sure your very confused right now." The boy, no Nell said looking down at her.

"Well your right, I'm beyond confused right now. First, where am I? Second, why do you have wings? And lasty how did I get here?" She asked raising an eyebrow at the boy her lips set in a firm pout and her eyes locked on his.

Colton Amberfield

Colton winced as Eve shot him a glare sinking to the floor, her hands cacooning her head.

Darn it. So much for a lady charmer. Colton thought displeased with himself as he looked down at the girl he was suppose to 'wooh'.

Eve's icy gaze looked up to meet Colton's making him shrink under her stare.

"I would much appreciate if you didn't use the word 'pretty so loosely. After all you just met me, but your telling me I'm pretty for my looks. You should like a person for their personality." Her words felt like daggers, piercing Colton's skin as she spoke.

Colton stared at her, eyebrows furrowed as he realized she wasn't mad at him for 'insulting' her.

Sitting up straight, no longer effected by her icy gaze or cold words Colton chucked slightly. She was definitely different from other girls that much was for sure.

Gently sliding off the bed he cautiously placed himself next to Eve on the floor drawing his legs close to his chest.

"I'm sorry If I offended you." He said gently, looking out in front of him and not at the girl at his side. "I thought girls loved being called pretty but I guess I was wrong." He laughed lightly thinking about how she reacted. "Though I do think your right judging people on their outside rather than their inside is wrong. We should like people for their personality not by what color their hair is. But I also think your wrong. Knowing your pretty on both the outiside and the inside would kind of be like a bonus, dont you think? And having people know that would be great." Finally looking over at Eve he gave her a slight smile. "Anyway I'm sorry for calling you pretty, I'll wait until I get to know you better, Kay? So you wanna get out of this room or something?"

Colton stood up offering his hand to Eve, his usual loud and bubbly persona coming back.

The side of Nell's mouth twitched up in amusement when the harmless human tried to look angry. Then his mouth couldn't help but blossom into a full grin when he heard the girls cute little voice. "Olivia...but my friends call my Livvy." Olivia mumbled, and put her hand in his.

Nell's eyes locked on Olivia's as she replied. "Well your right, I'm beyond confused right now. First, where am I? Second, why do you have wings? And lastly how did I get here?" She said with a raised eyebrow.

"You are in the city of Purgatory my dear, a place where angels and demons can coexist." Nell said with a tint of boredom flooding into his voice. He never really cared for history, and it was always his worst subject.

"Why don't you have wings? Cause' you are human. Why do I have wings because I am demon/angel. It's like asking why a horse is a horse." He said with amusement in his eyes.

"Lastly, you have come here through a portal along with the other human girls." Nell finished her questions.

"Now, what do humans do in their free time?" Nell asked. "Cause' it is dreadfully boring in this room." He continued

Eve Erimentha

It had only made Eve madder when Colton chuckled at her short speech.
"I'm sorry If I offended you." Colton said with a gentle tone. The angry fire burning in Eve's gut subsided a bit at the apology, but a questioning gaze filled her eyes. "I thought girls loved being called pretty but I guess I was wrong." Colton laughed a bit. This time his laugh didn't fuel her anger, but it made her feel guilty for ever being harsh to him.

"Though I do think your right judging people on their outside rather than their inside is wrong. We should like people for their personality not by what color their hair is. But I also think your wrong. Knowing your pretty on both the outside and the inside would kind of be like a bonus, don't you think? And having people know that would be great." Colton said.

Now Eve's anger was only ashes, and the only feeling left was guilt.

"Anyway I'm sorry for calling you pretty, I'll wait until I get to know you better, Kay? So you wanna get out of this room or something?" Colton said.

Eve timidly grasped Colton's hand. "Thank you. I'm truly sorry for the way I just acted. I don't know what gets into me sometimes. It would be nice to get out of this room." Eve said with a small smile.

Olivia listened while Nell spoke, her pouting face and determined attitude slipping away with every word he said as he continued to speak.

"Angels, Demons and portals. Oh my!" She found herself whispering. She was defiantly a long way from home, with no idea how to get back. Her eyes traveled to her feet while she continued to think.

Maybe if I can befriend this Nell character he can help me get back home. Olivia's thoughts turned to the winged boy in front of her. He obviously knew a lot about this place so he might even know a way to get out.

"Now, what do humans do in their free time?" Olivia's head snapped up her eyes locking with Nell's. "Cause' it is dreadfully boring in this room." Olivia smirked pushing a strand of loose hair out of her face.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" She asked playfully decidng on gaining his trust now. She raisied an eyebrow before walking to the door and stepping out. "Food sounds great, don't you think?"

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer! Olivia mentally reminded herself as she waited for Nell to exit the room.

Colton Amberfield

Colton stood still surprised at the touch of Eve's skin on his. He was expecting her to just brush his hand away and stand up on her own. Or something of the sort, but instead she took his hand and even smiled a tiny bit. Quickly regaining his composure as to not to weird her out, or send her back into her shell Colton smiled.

"Thank you. I'm truly sorry for the way I just acted. I don't know what gets into me sometimes. It would be nice to get out of this room." She really did look nice with a smile on Colton thought, even if a small one.

"Don't worry about." Colton let go of her hand and wiped at the air as if shooing the previous event away. "It's in the past now."

Sitting down on the side of her bed he dragged a hand through his hair thinking. "Well there's a lot of places we can go. Restaurants if your hungry. Shopping if you don't want to wear the clothes they provide for you. Umm maybe just a walk in the park or something. It's up to you I'm open to anything." Colton jabbered changing the subject.

Looking over to Eve he shrugged. "Or we can go to my house."

His face reddened as he realized what he said sounded a bit perverted. " I didnt mean it that way! I ment like you can see my house. Uhhh. I'm sorry I don't know why it's so hard to talk to you." He sighed face palming his forehead.
