SO IT BEGINS
July 7th | 6:00 AM

Deep within the great viordat plataeu, four experienced adventurers find themselves traveling south along the old scrolls road. Only a few hours from the outskirts of Orius, the oldest, largest, most populous city in the world. It also just happens to be the capitol city of the Kingdom of Isteroth. Home to the "Council of Nobles" as well as a population of over 200,000 people. This is where your meeting with the king is to take place. Only two weeks earlier your party received a letter with the royal seal. An official summons to see the king himself. The letter sounded urgent, not to mention mandatory. And only two days away from the kingdoms 2000th anniversary.

The light of the sun barely begins to shine over the horizon. It's hazy orange sunrise illuminate a small caravan of nine people. Four of which being our party of heroes. Hired as mercenaries to protect a rich merchant, his wife and two kids as they travel towards the capitol. No one travels across country alone anymore. Not with how chaotic things have become throughout the empire. Bandits, wolves and all manner of monstrous creatures infesting the tameless wilderness. You have been taking shifts guarding and driving the rather large carriage and its two horses.

The wealthy merchant family of five snoozing away inside the carriage while you four, the hired escorts, are forced to endure the outdoors. You rested for a few hours during the night after a nonstop eight hour push from a small village to the north. However, now that you have broken camp the lot of you continue south. But don't worry, this wealthy merchant offered a hefty payment for your efforts. As you continue down the dry dusty road you scan the area and see a nothing but a flat dusty land dotted with large boulders and the occasional tree. You travel another three miles before looking to the west, you notice a massive red cloud towering into the sky rushing towards you. Only a few miles away, clearly a violent sand storm

Keep In Mind
The four of you have been together taking part in various adventures for over a year. You know each other fairly well at this point and consider yourselves close friends...

What Do You Do?

It was Ludious face that had seen the most of his aging over the many years he had aged. Brows narrowed over sunken eyes to peer at the distant sandstorm and soon a finger rose to rub the underside of a pockmarked nose in thought. He halted in his tracks, which mercifully gave a chance for his joints to rest but left him as a hazard for whoever walked behind him. He had chosen without prompting to walk to the front and left of the caravan partly because if he collapsed he wanted people to see and partly because he didn't want to catch the dust of walking behind someone else. Well so much for that!

"Hmm..." he pondered aloud and rubbed his frail beard.

With suddenness, his head cocked to the side and he demanded, "Well?!" of his companions. It wasn't that he had no ideas of his own on what to do or what was coming, but because he wanted to hear others opinions first so he could tell them what was right. Of course being the eldest was such a chore, even if he wasn't! It meant he had to take responsibility, be the deciding voice, the voice of reason, or the voice saying 'I told you so' when he turned out to be right, and the voice suspiciously silent when he was wrong. Yes best to let other people talk first.

"Somebody stop the horses. Trouble ahead."

Grisira

Grisira had been humming to herself as she marched. An old, old Drake tune she recalled for her childhood. She found it soothing, and more importantly distracting. The Midget had taken the lead despite her protests. Despite her experience. Despite her physicality. Always, always, always... she found herself whispering to no one in particular. The urge to kick away his staff in childish-protest was strong. Especially when he pulled his attention-seeking dead stop. Of course, her decorum and pride would never allow her to indulge in such an action...Never..

Instead she merely stepped around him, more than happy to continue in the lead. For one, brief moment Grisira had cause to smile, but then..Of course...

"Trouble up ahead.."

The muffled grunting of the old midget was all that had caught Grisira's attention. It had the wondrous effect of both crashing her mood in an instant, and causing her to turn on her heels. Sword drawn. An unbelievably awkward task to accomplish in a full suit of rigid plate. Not that she minded, though. Despite seeing no indication of trouble, hearing no advance of animal or man, she relished at the opportunity for something to vent her annoyance at. But of course, upon looking she saw...Nothing. With a scowl she sheathed her sword and narrowed her eyes at the tiny human.

"I see no trouble. I do however see you refusing to march. Need I remind you of your own kind's tale of a boy and a wolf?"

Akassa walked quietly, listening to the Drake, Grisira, hum. Her eyes were directed straight ahead as she looked at the road, taking the top right corner of the wagon to guard. Her eyes scanned the horizon, but when she noticed the rather eerie storm cloud miles ahead she frowned, glancing to the driver of the cart. When she heard the voice of Ludious Boddyknock tell the driver to stop the carriage, and that there was danger ahead she stopped quickly, her legs pressed tightly together as she looked under the carriage, at Ludious' feet, and Grisira's boots.

She walked around the cart, and over to the two other members of her group, her eyebrow raised hearing Grisira's warnings, slightly confused on how she could not possibly see the massive red cloud that was almost above them. Grisira was probably 7 feet after all, she could see above many things. Akassa cleared her throat, attempting to get Grisira's attention. She then turned a little, and pointed up at the sky.
"He means that," She mumbled quietly, her vocal cords horse from not making a noise for several days. She looked fully at the clouds, they looked like they were even closer then before. 'Well this is going to be very troublesome...' Akassa thought, sighing in slight irritation.

Linive hadn't been paying attention. She had gotten bored with the ride. Nothing happened and it seemed like nothing would have. She didn't even hear the old man. When Akassa stopped the carriage she flew and fell on top one of the horses. "For the love of everything..." She slowly stood up and followed her around the carriage. When she say Lizzy, aka Grisira, she nearly jumped into her arms, but was distracted by Akassa's pointing finger. There she saw the clouds. She hit the carriage, "Hey, richies, you might want to wake the fuck up!" She shouted.

A small grumble came the equally small man over the three women who wandered around. As usual, not a word of progress had been spoken! So it fell on him to make decisions. With a huff he tapped his staff on the ground. "Please listen," he said irritably, "That is a dust storm, or worse. We should set up a large tent using the side of the caravan to shield us from the worst of it." He hated making speeches and giving orders. Then he cleared his throat and smacked his lips, trying to gather up more gusto to continue and added;

"Well! Get to it!"

Grisira

Reptilian eyes followed Akassa's finger, coming to rest on the impending storm. Grisira merely blinked. It didn't make any sense to her. Wind. Dust. So what? This confusion was compounded by the tiny man barking orders, and Linive's presence. It was all enough to make her head throb, and before she knew it she found herself rubbing her scaly temples in an attempt to ease her mounting frustration.

"Alright...Alright..." Her voice to the outside was monotonous as always but her friends could no doubt detect a hint of exasperation. "Could someone...Please..Explain to me why sand is a valid reason to delay our journey for a day and a half? It's sand. We can walk through it. If you're just tired, Ludious you're quite aware of the fact I can carry you."

The young Sylvan listened as Ludious gave orders, eyebrows high listening to him. It was rare for the wizard to offer an idea first, seeing as he seemed to like to correct people. Akassa started to move, but stopped when Grisira asked why sand was such a big deal. She looked to the wizard, then to Linive to see who would give an explanation why sand storms are dangerous. Looking to the Drake Akassa slightly frowned, noticing she was rubbing her temples, but didn't bother with a questioning look, instead just went to the back of the wagon, going and grabbing a large blanket. She dragged it over to the drivers seat, and set the blanket down on it. When they are going to move the carriage to a safer location the blanket will be there to cover the horses. Akassa then went back to the back, which also held a couple of tents, and started to pull them out, listening in to any conversation around her.

The moment that Linive barely tapped on the door of the carriage it was quickly pushed open, almost smacking her in the face. An extremely old, very wrinkly human women appeared. As she frowned her entire face seemed to droop down. Her beady dark eyes barely visible as she glared at the Sylvan girl, spitting at Linive's feet. "What in the gods name is all that racket! I'm paying you a small fortune to shut your faces and take me to Orius! I told you that I was not to be disturbed you foolish girl!" With that said, the angry old women slammed the door shut. But just before the door closes completely you see the faint glint of red blood on the back of the door. As the old women disappears inside, you could hear the sound of half a dozen locks being locked. Meanwhile, the vast sandstorm continues to draw closer with every minute. The raging red dust clouds towering into the sky as high as a mountain. Gusts of wind slowly begin to pound the side of the carriage. The horses seem like they may panic and run, but having several people around appeared to calm their nerves.

Linive stared at the closed door. "Did...Did I just see blood?" She thought before growing annoyed once more."I think we could just take their stuff and run. The Richies wouldn't survive this storm on their own." She said to the carriage door before turning to Lizzy. "Sand storms are dangerous, because it can actually kill you....well us....I don't know how you lizards work still." Linive said while looking her friend up and down. Her smile was both perverted and friendly before making her way over to the old man. "Hey, Gramps...can't you just huff a spell so we don't have to actually get the tent. I mean that is kind of a.." She looked back and saw Akassa with the tents. "Well, okay then...." She mumbled and helped Akassa. "One over the horses and one over us? We let the Richies die, right?" She asked Akassa.

Grisira

A rumbling sort of growl welled up in Grisira's throat. Slowly and mechanically her head lifted, gaze shifting from her feet to the Rogue. Despite the fact she had come to accept the woman's snide nature a while ago racial slurs were still a sore spot, and she felt the need to protest. "I. Am not. A lizard." It was more a snarl than actual speech, and she made sure to show off her jagged teeth to complete the empty threat, but of course the vexing woman just sauntered off to help with tents. Being teased was annoying enough, but being ignored was infuriating.

Sensing the feeble creature she tied herself too wouldn't even attempt to brave the storm, she relented. She strode over to the carriage and unstrapped her scabbards and set them on the blanket, mumbling to herself the whole time."Besides. Maybe you'd know more about my kind if you asked about more than just our reproductive functions, Liv."

Ludious turned his head towards Linive with a flat stare. "The horses, assuming you want them to share the same comfort as us, will be on the same side as us. The storm is coming from one direction. If I was not on a payroll I'd suggest tipping the caravan over towards it, so it doesn't tip over on us if a particularly strong wind blows," he answered. But it was much less important to tell the people who were following his orders what to do than those who weren't. For Grisira he turned about and stomped his staff on the ground.

"Do you see how much sand that is? What's going to happen when it hits the caravan, or us? It stops. And then the sand following it does the same, and the sand after that. Soon that caravan will be buried deeper than its wheels and not going anywhere either way. I'd rather get through this storm without being covered head to toe with sand, thank you very much." And to him, the matter was settled. Oh he hoped it was settled. That storm was almost on them. "Hurry now..." he grunted.

The Sylvan looked to Linive with a blank stare, obviously not amused by her comment on letting their source of income die. She didn't bother giving a reply, instead just a disapproving look before going over to the other two mercenaries. She handed Grisira a rolled up tent, and a ginger pat on the arm, kinda trying to say 'I understand it's annoying'. She then went over to the wizard and handed him a tent. She was listening to Ludious talk about the caravan tipping over as she started to put up her tent, frowning at the possibility of it tipping over onto them. She didn't want to be close to the caravan incase that happened, but she didn't want to be far away, either. If what Ludious said about the cart being a sort of one-sided tent for them, then she wanted to stay as close to it. Akassa huffed, lips pursed as she started continued to make up her tent.

The four of you quickly bunker down in tents, all on the opposite side of the carriage, and prepare for the massive sand storm that was now towering over you. Powerful gusts of wind blast the sides of it. For a moment it looked like the contraption would tip over, however it appeared to be far heavier and more durable then you thought. But for a brief moment something seemed off about this storm. About ten seconds pass, nothing. No sound, no wind, no sand. Then everything went to hell...

A dreadful high pitched scream comes from inside the carriage. A piercing cry unlike anything you had ever heard before. The horses panic, the leather reigns snap, and they take off bolting down the road out of sight. Before any of you have a chance to check the carriage, the storm continues once again. "This was no sandstorm". That was the singular thought that echoed within each of your minds. What appeared to be a mighty red sand storm was in fact something much worse...

Blood...

Scolding, boiling, burning, acidic, blood. Raining from the skies with the force of a great hurricane. Staying in tents and hiding behind the carriage provided some protection from the storm as it was falling sideways onto the opposite side. But never the less, huge gusts of wind pounded the land around you. Trees uprooted, boulders flipped over, dust devils kicked up in the air.
This was no natural storm... This was magic, and not just any magic. Extremely powerful magic. Magic such as this hasn't been seen since the end of the last age.

Linive cling her tent closed, the scream had frozen her in place. "What in the holy Gods..." She whispered to herself. The sight of something dark red leaked around her tent and she bent over, still clinging the tent closed, and sniffed. The smell of iron filled her nostrils and she nearly gagged.

"Akassa can you plug up your hole?! Your nasties are getting every where!" She screamed, hoping the girl could hear her. Even with her jokes, she knew something bad was happening. Her body was tensed and she could feel the magic in the air. It was humid and clung to her body. Reaching over, she grabbed her dagger and stabbed the tent closed so she could rest her hands and have some kind of small shield. She tried to stay crouched, so not to sit on the ground or anywhere near the blood that was slowly flowing into the tent from underneath.

The sides of the tent flapped in the heavy wind, making it seem like someone was banging on the sides. Akassa sat, her legs crossed in front of her as she just sat there silently. The doors of her tent were kept shut with the dagger she had in her boot, pinning the bottom to the ground. Nothing could be heard through the storm, the sound was a constant white noise. Not long into the storm, it became noticeable that something wasn't right. It smelt horrible, like something close by had died. Akassa pulled a cloth over the lower half of her face, and put the hood to her cape up. shuffling forward, she pulled her dagger up, the opening to the tent instantly blasting back, smacking her in the face. Akassa fell back, her arms up in a defensive position as the smell instantly got worse.

The Sylvan gagged as something coated her body, blowing into the tent like a mist. It was wet, thick like syrup, and hot. Hot enough that it felt like it was burning, her skin starting to itch like crazy. Wiping the liquid from her face, Akassa looked out, using a booted foot to hold back one of the flapping sides of the tent door. Her eyes went wide, seeing what was falling from the sky. 'Blood?!?' Akassa thought, sitting up and looking out. From where her tent was, she was able to see the caravan, which was tipping dangerously, and some of the other tents. As she watched the acrid smelling bodily fluid coat everything in a smelly layer, she began to notice that the itching on the exposed parts of her body were starting to hurt, stinging now. She looked down to see that some of the blood on her skin wasn't just from the storm. She wiped off the thin layer, seeing that her skin was red with irritation, and some looked like it was burnt, like a fire had touched it.

'I have to tell the others.... But the blood.... It's not safe...' Akassa thought as she closed her tent, holding it with her hand. It wasn't safe, which was the exact reason why she needed to tell someone. Akassa pursed her lips, looking around her tent. If she hurried, she could use the tent canvas as a sort of shield. But she would have to figure out whos tent was whos, seeing as she couldn't remember who set up where. Akassa rubbed her stinging face, huffing before deciding she'll just bolt for the closest one, and see who it is. With a small nod, liking her plan, she started to push the supports down, starting from the back. Grabbing her sword and bow, she strapped them to her back before kicking out the last support. The tent fell down, leaving Akassa in total darkness. Using a mental map, she ran to where she thought the next tent was. Feeling something solid in her way, she flung her canvas off, and hurried into the tent. It was Linive's tent.
"Don't go outside, it's raining acid blood..." With that she bolted back out of the tent, not waiting for a response.

Akassa grabbed her soaking tent blanket, and rushed to the next tent. Hurrying into that tent she almost knocked it over, the handle of her sword hitting the top of it. She froze, her arms out making sure it didn't fall. She looked to the tent occupant, Grisira, and gave her an apologetic look.
"Sorry... Uh, don't go outside... Acid blood." Akassa did an awkward backwards roll out of the tent, grabbing her blanket and blindly rushing to the last tent, Ludious's. Almost running straight into that one she threw her now soaking, useless blanket off of her, and rushed into the tent, practically barreling into the wizard. By now she was soaking wet, and completely out of breath, so it took her a few good breaths before she could explain the predicament. Sense her tent was destroyed, she had to stay with Boddyknock, sitting in the corner, squeezing blood out of her hair. Akassas skin itched like crazy, and she knew she was gonna have some pretty good burns all over by the end of this storm.

Grisira merely blinked. Acid...Blood? It was this kind of thing. This very sort of thing that made her question her career as an adventurer. It was always some magical nonsense from somewhere. True, it usually wasn't acid blood rain, but it was always...Something. The Drake leaned back against the canvas of her tend and sighed. Someday there would be an actual enemy, that she could actually hit, with an actual weapon.

For now though, the bigger worry was her companions. None of them were too...Sturdy..It was at that moment she remembered the horses. They might be simple pack beasts, but they were under the groups protection nonetheless. With a groan of frustration she set about stripping the heavy plate of her armour off. She was NOT about to have acid blood eat through it. It was worth a lot, both in gold and sentiment. The chain-mail hauberk under it, and leather leggings? Not so much.

Slipping on a pair of thick leather boots she threw gritted her Drake teeth and pushed out into the storm.

The pain was instant, and harsh, but hey. She was a warrior. Pain was her job. The burning in her eyes though, that was rough. Made it nearly impossible to see.

"Now where the hell are those horses!

Ludious had sought cover moments before the storm struck, trusting that if people listened to his advice they would be spared the worst of it, though the acid changed things. Now he was left seated under the cover of the tent with his knees up to his chest and his staff resting across them.

On Akassa's arrival the elderly mage started digging through his pouch for a waterskin, which he offered towards her. "Here, pour this potion on your skin, it should wash off the worst of it." The liquid inside was transparent and cool. Once the offered concoction was taken (if at all) he would rub one finger under his nose in thought and think aloud.

"If the tents start to give out, we might have to get inside the caravan, though I don't think it will last long... We could try burying ourselves under our equipment... Or prayer..."

The pain was intense, making Akassa almost regret running outside to warn her team mates. When Ludious offered the potion, she graciously took it, carefully pouring it onto her hand and slathering the clear cold liquid on her exposed arm, face, and parts of her legs where her leather pants had ripped. Soon enough the pain had subsided to a slight discomfort, which Akassa could live with. She had used up most of the wondrous liquid, but there was enough for a few extra body parts if anyone needed it. She handed it to Boddyknock, listening to him as he spoke aloud. She cleared her throat, pulling off her bow and sword, making sure the blood hadn't damaged them. The sword, as well as her armor, was made out of the toughest steel ever known, making it so it couldn't scratch, chip, bread, or get dull. And the bow was wrapped in layers of leather that were tougher then most cheep metals. In short, they were perfectly fine. Although her cape, parts of her boots, pants, and arrows were sort of another story. Her pants had multiple new holes, which showed burnt or red skin, parts of her boots were thinning out and showing wool socks, and the edges of her cape were starting to erode away.

Akassa huffed, but didn't bother mourning her clothing. The pants and boots were replicable, and the edges of her cape actually looked pretty cool. When Ludious was finished thinking aloud, commenting on the tents she looked up from examining herself. He cheeks and nose were burned a bit, but her right arm got the worst of it. She looked at the edge of the tent, seeing that there were some places where it was notable that it was getting wet, but most areas were still well intact.
"I used my tent as a blanket, it's what kept me mostly safe... I wouldn't worry about them. Plus the storm is almost over, we have 20 minutes at most." She situated herself to get comfortable, trying not to take up too much room so that the old mans joints didn't cramp up. She kept her eyes low, keeping herself busy with looking at the deep burns on her arms, which seemed to already start to scab over. She assumed it was Boddyknocks potion.

As Grisira charges into the acid rain to save the horses she quickly realizes that the horses had vanished, it was hard to tell in the dark red smog of acid blood rain, but it was obvious that they must have been spooked and snapped the leather reigns. As Grisira continues to stand out in the open unprotected, her scales begin to burn and itch beyond what she could handle. The air made her gag and the powerful winds bashed into her from all sides. For a moment it seemed like she might be able to remain standing. But not for long, a few moments later a large gust of wind smacked the drake from behind making her fall flat on her face in a pool of acid blood. Unable to move, twitching uncontrollably and in unbearable pain.

Meanwhile as Akassa applied the potion to her wounds, the pain began to slowly subside. However her skin was scared over most of her body. Lucius and Linive were the least harmed out of the group. For about half an hour the storm continued, until the hurricane of blood finally slowed to a light drizzle, barely noticeable. The storm continued west into the wilderness. After another minute or so the storm stopped completely. The carraige was utterly destroyed. Every tent, every boulder, every tree and every ounce of dust for miles around appeared to be slathered in blood.

Everything Was Ruined...

Grisira forced herself up, the pain overwhelming. She didn't even remember passing out, or falling, or anything. It was just one giant red blur. It felt like her body was coated in acid...That's right. It was. She remembered the storm now, holding up her burnt arms. "Damnit...Damnit!" the reptilian hiss escaped, fueled by the vicious pain wracking her body, she glanced down at her legs and noticed, with horror, her chain mail hauberk had been eating through for the most part.

An uncharacteristic whine escaped from her, this was just too much. Alone, in an acid-filled ditch with most of her clothing eaten through, and the majority of her body covered in burns. For a brief moment she fell apart, she let it all go and began to cry. Such a simple thing, and yet it instantly filled her with rage. More than enough unbridled fury to get moving. Despite the intense pain she balled up her fist and struck herself as hard as she could, dead center in her stomach. "Enough!" she snarled through clenched fangs. "I've been through worse without a single tear shed.." She began to shamble towards where she though the tents had been, her vision almost completely gone. "I will not be beaten by this, by anything!"

She walked for what felt like ages, though it wasn't. She could feel her legs collapsing under her, it was painfully obvious that sheer will power was the only thing keeping her alive, let alone upright. She only had one option. Drawing in as much air as she could, she shouted at the top of her lungs.

Akassa froze, stopping what she was doing, hearing a distant yell. It sounded familiar, and rather close. She didn't waste time bursting out of the tent. The first thing she noticed is that almost everything was destroyed, acid blood pooled all over the dirt, mixing with the mud. The next thing she noticed is that Grisiras tent was knocked down, as if because no one occupied it, it gave up and fell over. Akassa looked around, spinning in a circle as she tried to figure out where Grisira was. She stopped, seeing her laying on the ground a few yards from her tent. Akassa sprinted over to her, sliding on her knees to a stop right next to the drake. Shock covered her face, her eyes wide and her mouth slightly open in pure awe that Grisira was even still alive. She hesitated to touch her scales, afraid they'd either cause more pain, or fall off.

Grisiras burns mirrored her own, but they were much worse due to being unprotected, and being out for much longer then Akassa. Fighting back panic, Akassa thrashed around in the small pack connected to her belt, grabbing a lamb skin full of water. The first thing she poured it on, very gingerly, was Grisiras head, then her neck and back. When she ran out of water she looked around for Ludious, knowing he still had the potion that had helped her. Akassa put her lamb skin back into her pack, and grabbed a scrap of cloth she used to wipe off her hands or face whenever she got too sweaty. She started to softly dab the blood away, noticing how quickly it was starting to already weaken the cloth, eating away small holes. Akassa kept softly dabbing the blood off, hoping that wiping it off would stop it from doing any more damage.

Ludious had remained stubbornly seated through the entire storm, but upon hearing his name he let out a weary sigh. Seeing as the tents withstood the acid he set about taking apart one with the patience of an oak, wrapping the untouched inside around his feet. His sandals would provide poor protection against the blood-muddied ground and he was loathed to be burned. It took much longer for him to recover than anyone else!

He shuffled towards Grisia with a frustrated tut, feeling around in his pack for something that could help. "Pour some water on her if you can," he muttered, "I should be able to put a small salve on her wounds to close up the worst of it, but the idiot could have damn well got herself killed running around in that weather." His final words were 'nobody listens to me', said at such a grumblingly low tone that he might as well have not said it at all.

"And put her in another tent so she's not lying in the stuff."

Once the storm was over Linive dashed out the tent. Stretching her legs as she looked around at the mess. She was hurt much and instead of feeling pain. She was annoyed at the fact she got hurt at all. Her eyes fell on her comrades and jogged over. "Is Grisia okay?" She asked worried. Linive knew this wasn't the place to call her Lizzy. She wasn't completely heartless. "You can put her in my tent. There is hardly any blood in there." She spoke quickly.

Akassa hurriedly got up and went over to Linive's tent. Ripping out the supports she brought it closer, laying it out as wide and as flat as she could. Going back over to Grisira she grabbed her carefully under her arms, and started to drag her onto the canvas of the tent. She grunted with effort, mumbling sorry's as she slowly dragged Grisira onto the tent, almost slipping multiple times on the bloody mud. She couldn't go into the tent, for unfortunately Grisira was too big. It would be impossible for them to be in the tent with her, and care to her wounds. So after making sure the Drake was on the tent and the blood that had soaked into the ground no longer was burning her, she continued to pour out her entire sheeps skin trying to get as much surface area as possible with the little bit that was left. It wasn't much, and soon Akassa was completely out.

The young girl frowned, looking up at Ludious. Most of them probably had no more water, or very little, left in their skins, so it wouldn't help much. The only thing she could do now is fill them up, hopefully the water wasn't contaminated by the blood. Getting up she held out her hand.
"Skins please... I'll find us more water," Akassa mumbled. Once she had all of them she looked over to the wagon, which looked like someone had poured oil all over it, and then set it on fire. She looked inside but quickly stumbled away. The floor was flooded in shin high blood, some of it not being from the rain, but from the family that was inside.

Not even bothering to check and see if they had any uncontaminated water source Akassa simply walked straight into the woods, her eyes wide and jaw tight as she attempted to not throw up. She got about five feet before bending over behind a tree and dumping all of her breakfast she ate earlier that day. Once done she wiped her mouth and continued on. She had seen bodies, hell she saw people cut in half, and she's cut people in half. Gore wasn't something new to Akassa, but for some reason seeing civilians melted into nothing but bones while their flesh and organs are in a acid soup below them struck a cord in Akassas gut.
