Appearance: Cory stands at an average 5'10 and weighs 151 pounds. He is not as muscular or as large as the other members of his pack, but he isn't emaciated either. Still, you wouldn't suspect him to be as strong as he actually is from his appearance. This definitely lends itself to his nickname as he is not only one of the youngest, but one of the smallest of the pack.

His wardrobe is a series of heavy jackets and collared shirts, not owning much of anything else, beside a small group of neutral colored t-shirts he wears with them. He is definitely a proponent of the layered look, often wearing one of his jackets and two shirts underneath and some regular blue jeans. He does this due to a slight insecurity about his size as it makes him look a bit larger.

In his wolf form, Cory's fur has a very average looking hue. It is a mix of colors ranging from blacks and grey on the top of his had and back to whites and even some browns on his mouth and jaw and the lower half of his body.

"Yeah, I'm kinda scrawny, but looks can be deceiving. If you don't believe me, take it up with Bristol."

Personality: Cory is one of the youngest of the pack and this has attributed to a lot of his personality. He is always seeking a way to prove himself and become stronger, often spending hours learning and training by himself. He dislikes his status as Omega and wishes to get rid of it. Even as a child, Cory knew he was weaker then the pack and sometimes got frustrated with the others when they brought up his place in the pack. He's learned to take these as playful jokes, which most of the time, they were

Cory is a person who likes time to himself which most people take as him being shy which he isn't. He has no problem talking to people. He actually has a silver tongue and a razor sharp wit to boot, but he just enjoys his own company more then most people do, enjoying time to think. That being said, he loves his pack and is completely loyal to them, but he sometimes takes unneeded risks in order to better himself or take advantage of an opportunity.

Although he takes advantage of some things in life, he rarely takes advantage of people unless it's necessary. Cory is unnaturally fair for a person in his position and views people on how they treat others and themselves. He is kind, but doesn't like to let people catch onto it, thinking they will think he is weaker because of it.

Cory and his wolf are on exactly the same page. The wolf often speeds in, seeking a chance at glory. It isn't however stupid, and will weigh the options before it will go in for the kill. Some people would consider this rash thinking, and Cory and his wolf agree, but their desire to prove themselves sometimes outweighs their senses.

"I just can't be satisfied like this. I don't want to be at the top of the pack, but I sure as hell don't want to be at the bottom."

Likes: Silence, reading, flannel, the color blue, the sky, walks, steak, alone time, his room, astronomy, drawing, puzzles, running, training, waking up early, going to bed late, working.
Dislikes: His rank, being annoyed, flying, being called weak, surprises, things being too clean, wet clothes, cantaloupes, the color yellow, lying, unneeded rudeness, unneeded hostility.
Theme Song: Move - I Fight Dragons
Other? Cory and Matt Talbot are pretty close. Matt has always looked after Cory and has supported his goal of becoming stronger. The two have a very older brother/younger brother dynamic.

So begins...

Elliott Hartnet

Elliott loved being an Alpha, but sometimes it was a pain in the ass. Especially when being an Alpha entailed running perimeter at two in the morning to make sure that there was no humans or any other creature wandering near the mansion. It wouldn’t be the most ideal situation if one of the stupid townspeople stumbled onto a mansion full of sleeping Lycan, let me tell you. Such a thing had happened a long time ago, before the night time perimeter runs, and the Wayland pack still hadn’t heard the end of it. Though the incident had happened before even his father was born, the eldest Keeper’s continued to bring it up anytime a Wayland Alpha had something to say. Damn Keeper’s, they just had to live forever, or well, a really long time. Though it wasn’t fair that the Keeper’s got to keep themselves young with their magic while the Lycan protected and served them for a normal human life span, no one ever seemed to complain about it.

Elliott fell onto the first floor couch around five, not even taking off his jeans before promptly falling asleep shirtless, unable to make it up five flights of stairs to reach his room. He and Bristol had the floor below the top floor, occupied by the Keepers, and the attic. They had separate rooms obviously, but she was normally the first thing he saw every morning and the last person he saw before going to bed, at least for a week now that had been procedure. Then every night he got up around one thirty or so so they he could run perimeter for three-some hours, making sure everything was the way it was supposed to be. He supposed he could slack off and only run it a few times, then head back to bed, but sometimes he needed it, like tonight.

When Eli ran, it was like he was being set free. There were no more Keeper’s to deal with, no more pack members feuds that he had to settle, no more packs joining together that he had to handle. It was just him and the rest of the forest, all the birds and the owls and the little bunny rabbits that he occasionally saved from the sneaky fox- yes, he was that wolf. Eli also loved the hunt, he almost had a lust for it, but he also didn’t like taking more than he needed. Killing wasn’t just a sport for him.

A few hours later, when the other pack members started to wake up, they would find their Alpha half naked and passed out on the living room couch. It wouldn’t be anything new, and they would probably tease him later on for his snoring. Though Eli cared little about these things, as he slept peacefully through the rest of the night and into the morning.

You’re weak.
No I’m not!
Such a baaaaby.
Shut up!
Make me.
I-I

Exactly.

Jamie swore up and down, left and right, fucking diagonal even that his wolf was out to get him, as if it was his fault that they got stuck together. That wasn’t fair at all though, considering it wasn’t his fault that his good-for-nothing mother had gotten pregnant with some human guy and had him, this little sterile bastard that was good for nothing. Everyone either pitied him or hated him, either way around it wasn’t good. He just wished sometimes that people could just treat him normally, like they treated everyone else. But they would never do that. He was a halfling, basically a monster of the Lycan and magic world. Odd, how he was the monster.

No, I’m the monster. You’re just the thing I got stuck in.

Jamie couldn’t stand it anymore. This wolf was going to drive him insane. It got him in trouble any chance it got. Whenever Bristol would tell him to do something, if he was off daydreaming or not entirely paying attention to himself, the wolf would take over and do something asshole-ish, something that in the end got him in trouble. Insubordination, it was called, and the Lycan type didn't take kindly to it. Something like a capital offence of the wolfie world. They always told him that "Lycan" was the proper term, sounded more professional and smart and all, but he always liked the term werewolf. That's really what they were, right? As far as Twilight went, they were werewolves. Then again, he hadn't seen anyone turn into a wolf the size of a house yet, so maybe Twilight wasn't really something he should go off of...

Dumbass. No one likes you, don't you get that?
What's your fucking problem? Can't you just leave me alone for five minutes!
...

His wolf grumbled and snarled, but shut up for once. Apparently he needed sleep too, since it was almost one in the morning and Jamie still hadn't gotten a wink of sleep, too busy fighting with his inner wolf. They'd spent how many years together and they still couldn't get along? It really was a shame, considering his wolf was a pretty strong character. Perhaps they didn't get along the best, but, they could probably be a valuable extra asset to the pack if they could only get their shit together. So much for that though, it was pretty much guaranteed to never happen. Though his pack didn't expect much from him anyways, so it wasn't like he was letting anyone down.

Matthew's morning began with the usual mundane processes, jazzed up, of course, by a little magic to smooth things along. He had woken up early, as usual, at exactly 6AM to the confident buzzing of his incessant alarm clock, and had risen quickly to turn his shower on.

His shower ran cold water, to wake him up. It was almost icy in temperature, and struck his bare body like dozens of little blades of ice, and yet it was undeniably refreshing. At first, the water had stung his semi-conscious body, but now the water ran down his bare chest in steady rivulets along each contour, outlining his shape with lazy accuracy. Matthew sighed, and pushed his hair back, moving under the stream of frigid water to feel it strike his face for a moment before turning the temperature up to a more comfortable level. Steam soon fogged up his palatial bathroom, curling lethargically through the air in abstract spirals and clouding the mirrors and shuttered windows. Matthew sighed again, this time in soothed appreciation for the more pleasant feeling of hot replacing cold on his body.

But he knew that he'd spent a few minutes too many under the wet deluge, so reluctantly shut off the water completely and stepped out of the shower, not bothering to grab a towel as he moved from his bathroom to his adjoining bedroom, where his clothes were already laid out waiting for him. As he walked, Matthew appeared to mutter to himself for just a second, but the following second, the moisture from his body seemed simply to disappear, leaving him dry and clean. A small, rakish smirk ghosted across his lips; the use of magic for trivial tasks always seemed to amuse him.

Wandering over to the selection of waiting clothing, Matthew took his time, in a surprisingly good mood this morning. He began to dress without thinking, sliding on first his jeans and accompanying underwear as he contemplated his pleasant mood. It could have been because of the full night's sleep he had just enjoyed, unhindered by unpleasant dreams or disturbances. It could also be that he could feel, mostly, the content atmosphere in the house, and how surprisingly well the coming together of the pack had been. A full week had passed, and there had been minimal fighting, and that was something that Matthew was personally proud of his pack for.

As a sort of reward, Matthew had ordered breakfast for the entire house, which was why he had forbidden wolf transformations between nine and ten that morning - they really didn't need the delivery boy running home to tell everyone of the wolves that lived
in the forest. Which was why he muttered a reminder, one that he knew each conscious individual would receive. "Remember. No wolf transformations this morning between nine and ten. I've ordered a little something in," he told them, using his magic to ensure that everyone in the house would get his reminder. It wasn't classy, but it got the job done. Usually, when he had a message like this to give out, he would have the walls take on the words in fancy, spiralling letters, but he wasn't in the mood for his usual over the top gestures.

Matthew supposed that he should probably go down to make sure the kitchen was ready for his surprise, if there wasn't already someone in there. He didn't really mind if anyone had already eaten; he knew that being a lycan was hungry work and second breakfasts weren't really uncommon here, but it ocurred to him that he should probably go and remind Rey to keep her pack in check first. The delivery of hot, fresh croissants and pastries, bacon and eggs, mushrooms, fruit, yoghurt, and anything else the pack could possibly have wanted, wasn't to arrive for at least another forty five minutes yet, so they still had time to make sure that the pack were on their best behaviour.

He scooped up his shirt, and walked in his socks out of his room and along the hall to the place where Rey resided. At first, he had disliked the knowledge that she was just across the hall, but he'd gradually grown accustomed to the idea of having her so close. He knocked on her door and called in, "Rey? Are you up? You coming down for breakfast?" though the last words were muffled by his shirt as he tugged the plain white tee over his head.

Cory woke up in the middle of the woods. It wasn't very bright outside, so the boy guessed it was still fairly early in the morning. He brushed the leaves off himself as he pushed himself off the ground, trying to remember how he got there. And then it hit him. Well, two things hit him, the first thing being his smell. The stench from his clothes told him exactly what he needed to know. This wasn't the first time Cory had passed out on a late night run and it definitely wouldn't be his last. As he started his trek back to the house, his limbs ached from the run he still couldn't remember much of, letting out an audible groan with every step. After a while, the sun rose completely, reminding Cory of how far he had ran from home. He'd wiped himself out, but he had to. He refused to not at least spend two hours a day on training. But he decided to take the day off as he dragged himself to the mansion's front door and walked through it.

Immediately, he noticed that a lot of the pack was in front of him, the first of them that caught his eye being Matt. His attention however was occupied with Bristol, as it often was in Matt's case. He saw the two as family, but he wished they'd just get whatever was between them over with and move on. He wanted to say hi to everybody, but he was in no shape to think too much. So, ignoring the cloud of voices he heard, he gave a small wave to the people around him and headed upstairs to take a hot shower and pass out. He'd be up for breakfast however as he remembered the message he received on the way back and needed all the calories he could get.
