David is a laid back, introverted guy, that would prefer to be alone most of the time, or in the company of someone more on the calm side. He's not very good at being social but tries to be nice when he is. He can seem a little dark or off putting at times however, and often his remarks could be seen as mean even though he'd be joking. He's more of a "watcher" than someone who goes and does things. He may be the one to suggest standing up to someone else, but unless given a push, he himself would never do it. He likes the night a lot because of its calmness, but often only goes out when the moon and stars are really bright since he's easily spooked. When he's scared, he usually goes through stages. Panic, where he freezes up, reason, where he decides to make sure everything's fine, and then if there's a real threat he gets very violent very quickly. He's usually not very violent really, but when he's scared he'll kill someone without thinking twice about it. Call it instincts or whatever, but be careful not to frighten him. The only other time he would really fight is if it's for something he cares about, but there's not much he feels so strongly about to fight over. He also "thinks" a lot more than someone usually would, going deep into his own little world in his brain.
Now, for Wolfy David. His wolf is a lot braver and more curious than he is, for whatever reason. It's also a lot more playful, and enjoys running around and discovering things. Deep down he does to, but it only shows through his wolf. His wolf shares most of his other characteristics as well, but is much less introverted.

A P P E A R A N C E
David is constantly changing his appearance, usually dying his hair or trying new styles. He doesn't really think anyone would notice, so he goes along with whatever he feels like. His natural hair color is a dark brown, and his eyes are a kind of gray color. As a wolf they get brighter to an almost blue color though, and his wolf's hair is basically black. David is about 5'9" in his opinion a bit too short, with a sort of slim borderline scrawny build. He's fairly strong, and does have muscle, but he's not someone who works on being strong so he's stuck with his average strength. His most common attire is normal jeans and a dark tshirt, but it does change now and then. He has few crescent shaped scars on his forearms from a nervous habit of grabbing at his arms so tightly that it left marks from his nails. They aren't very noticeable though, only if you get pretty up close.
His wolf is dark colored with bright eyes, and being an omega shows the same sort of borderline scrawniness of his human form. His wolf form however holds itself higher.

So begins...

Elliott Hartnet

Elliott loved being an Alpha, but sometimes it was a pain in the ass. Especially when being an Alpha entailed running perimeter at two in the morning to make sure that there was no humans or any other creature wandering near the mansion. It wouldn’t be the most ideal situation if one of the stupid townspeople stumbled onto a mansion full of sleeping Lycan, let me tell you. Such a thing had happened a long time ago, before the night time perimeter runs, and the Wayland pack still hadn’t heard the end of it. Though the incident had happened before even his father was born, the eldest Keeper’s continued to bring it up anytime a Wayland Alpha had something to say. Damn Keeper’s, they just had to live forever, or well, a really long time. Though it wasn’t fair that the Keeper’s got to keep themselves young with their magic while the Lycan protected and served them for a normal human life span, no one ever seemed to complain about it.

Elliott fell onto the first floor couch around five, not even taking off his jeans before promptly falling asleep shirtless, unable to make it up five flights of stairs to reach his room. He and Bristol had the floor below the top floor, occupied by the Keepers, and the attic. They had separate rooms obviously, but she was normally the first thing he saw every morning and the last person he saw before going to bed, at least for a week now that had been procedure. Then every night he got up around one thirty or so so they he could run perimeter for three-some hours, making sure everything was the way it was supposed to be. He supposed he could slack off and only run it a few times, then head back to bed, but sometimes he needed it, like tonight.

When Eli ran, it was like he was being set free. There were no more Keeper’s to deal with, no more pack members feuds that he had to settle, no more packs joining together that he had to handle. It was just him and the rest of the forest, all the birds and the owls and the little bunny rabbits that he occasionally saved from the sneaky fox- yes, he was that wolf. Eli also loved the hunt, he almost had a lust for it, but he also didn’t like taking more than he needed. Killing wasn’t just a sport for him.

A few hours later, when the other pack members started to wake up, they would find their Alpha half naked and passed out on the living room couch. It wouldn’t be anything new, and they would probably tease him later on for his snoring. Though Eli cared little about these things, as he slept peacefully through the rest of the night and into the morning.

James Ratchel

You’re weak.
No I’m not!
Such a baaaaby.
Shut up!
Make me.
I-I

Exactly.

Jamie swore up and down, left and right, fucking diagonal even that his wolf was out to get him, as if it was his fault that they got stuck together. That wasn’t fair at all though, considering it wasn’t his fault that his good-for-nothing mother had gotten pregnant with some human guy and had him, this little sterile bastard that was good for nothing. Everyone either pitied him or hated him, either way around it wasn’t good. He just wished sometimes that people could just treat him normally, like they treated everyone else. But they would never do that. He was a halfling, basically a monster of the Lycan and magic world. Odd, how he was the monster.

No, I’m the monster. You’re just the thing I got stuck in.

Jamie couldn’t stand it anymore. This wolf was going to drive him insane. It got him in trouble any chance it got. Whenever Bristol would tell him to do something, if he was off daydreaming or not entirely paying attention to himself, the wolf would take over and do something asshole-ish, something that in the end got him in trouble. Insubordination, it was called, and the Lycan type didn't take kindly to it. Something like a capital offence of the wolfie world. They always told him that "Lycan" was the proper term, sounded more professional and smart and all, but he always liked the term werewolf. That's really what they were, right? As far as Twilight went, they were werewolves. Then again, he hadn't seen anyone turn into a wolf the size of a house yet, so maybe Twilight wasn't really something he should go off of...

Dumbass. No one likes you, don't you get that?
What's your fucking problem? Can't you just leave me alone for five minutes!
...

His wolf grumbled and snarled, but shut up for once. Apparently he needed sleep too, since it was almost one in the morning and Jamie still hadn't gotten a wink of sleep, too busy fighting with his inner wolf. They'd spent how many years together and they still couldn't get along? It really was a shame, considering his wolf was a pretty strong character. Perhaps they didn't get along the best, but, they could probably be a valuable extra asset to the pack if they could only get their shit together. So much for that though, it was pretty much guaranteed to never happen. Though his pack didn't expect much from him anyways, so it wasn't like he was letting anyone down.

David
“
.ask yourself, where is my mind? Where is my mind
.”
Where is my mind?
David opened his eyes to find himself staring at a wall, laying in a bed, feeling the familiar sensation of I want to close my eyes again that he got every morning. Groggily, he rubbed his eyes and heard the faint noise that had awoken him. A small ear bud lay on his pillow, fallen out long ago from his tossing and turning in the night, volume so loud he could still hear the lyrics to Where is My Mind playing.
He stared at the wall for a moment more before moving to untangle himself from the headphones and turn off his mp3. He then lay on his back and stared at the ceiling. Get up, he scolded himself. But his body resisted, wanting nothing more to continue to lay in bed, close his eyes, and fall back into the blissful oblivion.
“Can’t sleep you’re whole life,” he said aloud to himself, making himself sit up without letting himself think. That’s how you do things. Make a decision, don’t think, and act. But it wasn’t always that easy, like when you get up for the day. Besides, there was a hollowness in his stomach that had him immediately long to be in the kitchen. That longing was enough to get him to jump out of bed and make him get ready.
A sudden growl from his stomach just elaborated on his morning hunger, that he usually always got, and got him to move to the kitchen. He thought it would be odd to be living in a cabin with people he barely knew, but he kept to himself so much that in only felt slightly different. Still, he kept to the side of the hall, and was ready to avoid all and any conversation. At least until he ate. He usually perked up after that.
Arriving at the kitchen, a thought occurred to him. It was still early. Like, really early. He actually could have slept. Groaning at his lack of revelation while still in bed, David went on to get himself something to eat anyways. An apple. That could be taken back to his room. Shrugging, he picked it up and began to walk back, but then thought it would be better to go for a walk instead. Of course through, once getting to the living room, he had to find Elliott on the couch, passed out, shirtless. Almost as if he felt like he was intruding (even though it was in the middle of the living room), he tried to hurry past as quietly as possible, which for him, wasn't much.

Rey (Skip if you don't like snakes. Basically she's brushing her teeth.)
Rey had dreams that were always a little odd, but as she brush her teeth and watch her reflection, nodding her head slightly to a beat only she could hear, she couldn't help but find this one as even odder.

She had been in some war, a soldier or something, but no one seemed to be worried about it, and when it was over, no matter whose side, everyone just kind of sat around. She walked around, looking at everything, helping people, but she felt drawn to one area. There sat a boy. He was only, like, nine, but he had a snake about the thickness of a thumb and the length of an arm in his hand. It had small black eyes, hissing now and then. She felt fascinated. The boy held out the snake, saying it needed help. So, she knelt down and got close to look, but the snake just stared back. She opened her mouth, for only a moment, to say, "What is wrong?", and the snake immediately sprang from his hand and shot into her mouth. Panic. Pure panic. She bit down and grabbed at it's tail, desperate to make sure it didn't slither into her throat. She stopped it in time, bout now the snake felt even more slimy, even gooey, in her mouth, and juices leaked from where she bit. With horror and disgust she began to peel the dead thing from her mouth, and as she scraped her teeth with her nail, she awoke.

"I must be mad," she said to herself, but there was a huge, toothy grin on her lips that contradicted the statement.

Xavier
Xavier had been sleeping soundly for the past 10 hours, having fallen asleep pretty early the night before. He wasn't sure about everyone else, but he himself was completely and utterly exhausted. Maybe it was the new people, not trying to seem too weird, but he was pretty sure he already had a slight negative reputation with some people. He tried to ignore that though. Positive. Positive.

When he woke up, he actually felt very well rested and very upbeat, which was strange for his mornings. Usually he seemed like he was dead, a zombie, unsociable. When they first got to the mansion, he figured he'd never sleep. Considering he didn't sleep well unless under great conditions, and they were put in a basement, he was worried. But it turned out it was a pretty nice basement, and if not for lack of windows, he could swear he was above ground. And the slight chill. That threw him off too.

He wasn't quite sure what to do with himself while he was alone in his room. Besides sleep, he couldn't think of much. Draw? He was never quite into that. Read? Never found anything very interesting. He had a laptop, but he couldn't think of anything to do. That was productive, at least. He kind of wished he had a window, at least he could sight see, or have some natural light.
No, he thought to himself, there's nothing wrong with being here, just go outside for sun. Looking at his hands, he realized he could use some sun too. He was too pale. Or at least it seemed it. Maybe he could do something fun he usually couldn't while others were awake? There's nothing to really do without people, he rebutted, basically arguing with himself. Muttering under his breath, he left his room anyways, hoping to find something.

Matthew's morning began with the usual mundane processes, jazzed up, of course, by a little magic to smooth things along. He had woken up early, as usual, at exactly 6AM to the confident buzzing of his incessant alarm clock, and had risen quickly to turn his shower on.

His shower ran cold water, to wake him up. It was almost icy in temperature, and struck his bare body like dozens of little blades of ice, and yet it was undeniably refreshing. At first, the water had stung his semi-conscious body, but now the water ran down his bare chest in steady rivulets along each contour, outlining his shape with lazy accuracy. Matthew sighed, and pushed his hair back, moving under the stream of frigid water to feel it strike his face for a moment before turning the temperature up to a more comfortable level. Steam soon fogged up his palatial bathroom, curling lethargically through the air in abstract spirals and clouding the mirrors and shuttered windows. Matthew sighed again, this time in soothed appreciation for the more pleasant feeling of hot replacing cold on his body.

But he knew that he'd spent a few minutes too many under the wet deluge, so reluctantly shut off the water completely and stepped out of the shower, not bothering to grab a towel as he moved from his bathroom to his adjoining bedroom, where his clothes were already laid out waiting for him. As he walked, Matthew appeared to mutter to himself for just a second, but the following second, the moisture from his body seemed simply to disappear, leaving him dry and clean. A small, rakish smirk ghosted across his lips; the use of magic for trivial tasks always seemed to amuse him.

Wandering over to the selection of waiting clothing, Matthew took his time, in a surprisingly good mood this morning. He began to dress without thinking, sliding on first his jeans and accompanying underwear as he contemplated his pleasant mood. It could have been because of the full night's sleep he had just enjoyed, unhindered by unpleasant dreams or disturbances. It could also be that he could feel, mostly, the content atmosphere in the house, and how surprisingly well the coming together of the pack had been. A full week had passed, and there had been minimal fighting, and that was something that Matthew was personally proud of his pack for.

As a sort of reward, Matthew had ordered breakfast for the entire house, which was why he had forbidden wolf transformations between nine and ten that morning - they really didn't need the delivery boy running home to tell everyone of the wolves that lived
in the forest. Which was why he muttered a reminder, one that he knew each conscious individual would receive. "Remember. No wolf transformations this morning between nine and ten. I've ordered a little something in," he told them, using his magic to ensure that everyone in the house would get his reminder. It wasn't classy, but it got the job done. Usually, when he had a message like this to give out, he would have the walls take on the words in fancy, spiralling letters, but he wasn't in the mood for his usual over the top gestures.

Matthew supposed that he should probably go down to make sure the kitchen was ready for his surprise, if there wasn't already someone in there. He didn't really mind if anyone had already eaten; he knew that being a lycan was hungry work and second breakfasts weren't really uncommon here, but it ocurred to him that he should probably go and remind Rey to keep her pack in check first. The delivery of hot, fresh croissants and pastries, bacon and eggs, mushrooms, fruit, yoghurt, and anything else the pack could possibly have wanted, wasn't to arrive for at least another forty five minutes yet, so they still had time to make sure that the pack were on their best behaviour.

He scooped up his shirt, and walked in his socks out of his room and along the hall to the place where Rey resided. At first, he had disliked the knowledge that she was just across the hall, but he'd gradually grown accustomed to the idea of having her so close. He knocked on her door and called in, "Rey? Are you up? You coming down for breakfast?" though the last words were muffled by his shirt as he tugged the plain white tee over his head.

Elliott Hartnet

Elliott was incredibly oblivious to the commotion surrounding him, be it Faline’s screaming in the middle of the night, or later on Georgia’s loud music that she usually woke the house up with, or even later on when the same girl stood above him taking pictures before shaking him to try and wake him up. At the voice in his head though, his eyes sort of fluttered open, his lips parting in a quiet sigh at being woken up. He would have to have a talk with Matthew, he thought. He and Bristol were the Alpha’s, not him, he didn’t tell his or her pack what to do. He was somewhat startled to see Georgia there with her phone, but he put two and two together rather quickly as he closed his eyes again and put on a smile, as if he was posing for the camera. Unfortunately when he opened his eyes, Georgia’s had just flicked back to him, and once again he figured out what was about to happen. But by then it was too late, he only had time to roll from his side to his back before he was pounced on.

Bristol landed on him just as he reached up to grab her sides, tickling the other Alpha before she got a chance to jump away. It was strange how easily he had adjusted to having Bristol around, but he supposed that was because she reminded him so much of his Beta, whom he had had the fortune to be around for quite a while now. He didn’t dislike anyone in the house, really, except maybe Matt T, but even in that case it was little more than annoyance. Elli just wasn’t the sort of guy that didn’t like people, he got along with everyone.

By the time Bristol was off of him and cuddling Georgia, he was definitely wide awake and more than aware that he didn’t have a shirt on. It wasn’t that he was self-conscious of his appearance, he knew he had quite a nice body, but with now three girls around and David hurrying past, making him feel oddly conscious of himself, he felt rather naked. He sat up with a huff, his bare feet finding the floor as he leaned back on the cool leather couch. His hands found their way up before he ran his fingers through his dark hair, making it even messier than it was before this. Though he never did much with his hair in the first place, letting it go whichever way it wanted to.

After a few more moments of waking up, he let his eyes pop open as he pushed himself off the couch, taking a few steps away from the couch before turning back to the girls. “Ladies, however nice it is to see you both first thing in the morning, I’m gonna go shower and put clothes on now.” He said, trying his hardest to keep a straight face whilst teasing them as he often did. “And I better get a copy of those pics, Georgie.” After winking at his Beta, he turned towards the steps, taking them by two until he got up to the fourth floor where his room was. After picking out clothes, he went into his and Bristol’s bathroom to take a quick shower.

It was about twenty-five minutes later when he headed back downstairs, somewhat afraid as to what he was going to find once he got there.

James Ratchel

Jamie woke up quite a while later, but his wolf still seemed to be sleeping, leaving his mind rather
quiet. Truthfully, he had grown used to having the wolf up in his head all the time, judging everything he did and criticizing anytime it got a chance. Not hearing it was odd for him, he felt alone. Shrugging it off, he got out of bed and headed to the one bathroom that was on the basement floor, making sure no one was occupying it before he went inside to take a shower. Not long later he emerged wearing one of his usual, odd outfits. He had a sort of reputation for wearing strange things, mostly because he liked to piss off his wolf, but also because he liked standing out a bit. For a guy that preferred to fade into the background most of the time, he didn’t dress like it.

On his way upstairs he ran into a certain Omega that was coming back down with an apple, literally running into him before bouncing off and towards the wall. This woke his wolf, it probably sensing danger when really it was just Jamie hitting his funny bone off of the wall.

You’re so clumsy.
Go back to bed.

Jamie ignored his wolf from there on in, turning his attention to David as he started apologizing. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to run into you.” He finished, a few more apologies stuck onto the front of that. He was rubbing his own elbow, feeling the familiar sting of hitting your funny bone. He would no doubt have a bruise tomorrow, simply just because he bruised easily. ”Hey, what are you doing back down here anyways? Isn’t there supposed to be some sort of surprise or something from one of the Keepers?”

Rey
After brushing her teeth and hair, taking a quick shower, and getting dressed, Rey had plopped down onto her bed and began painting her nails. Bright, neon orange for that day. She loved to paint her nails different colors, and had a collection going. The collection was still packed away in a bag, but she had to have at least 30 different colors. It was almost an obsession even, and she often thought about giving some of it away. She obviously hadn't.

Around the time she had started a movie to watch while she waited for her nails to dry, she heard the shower staring. Matthew. She smiled a bit and almost got up to pull some prank on him, but stayed put in the end. She was enjoying her early morning movie. Matthew announced that they had gotten breakfast to everyone, which Rey had forgotten about completely.

"Rey are you up? Are you coming down for breakfast?" Came a muffled voice, obviously Matthew's, from outside her door. Rey grabbed her remote and flicked off the movie, then got up and called back, "Yeah I'm coming!"

Rey slipped on some shoes that were basically just slippers and half ran out into the hallway, almost running into her fellow keeper. Just barely managing to dance around him, she grinned and waved.

"Mornin'! Ready to head down I hope?" She was already backing up to the stairs as she asked, her hand out to feel the wall as she walked backwards to ensure she didn't go too far and fall.

David
Crunch crunch crunch. David had almost finished his apple, and was looking up at the ceiling as he thought. He could hear people waking, commotion starting. He had hoped to be outside by then, but Elli sleeping had startled him enough to make him back track. The girls were having fun with it though, no doubt. He could hear them from where he was, laughter. It made him smile now and then, especially since he doubted they were able to immediately wake Elli up despite the noise.

"Remember. No wolf transformations this morning between nine and ten. I've ordered a little something in," Matthews voice went off in his head. It felt a little unnerving really, especially since it wasn't even his pack's keeper, but the others. Though, the packs were together now...

David shook his head slightly, trying to snap out of it, and then stumbled back when he collided with something. Did he really miss a wall being in front of him? Blinking slowly at the object, he realized no, he hadn't. And said object was a person. His brain immediately went into a quit checklist, almost analyzing what happened. Not my pack member. His name's Jamie. He ran into me. He's talking.

And then: Shit, I don't know what he said.

He was still trying to remember what he said, watching him rub his elbow. He slowly realized he had apologized, and was now focused on the fact that Jamie seemed to hurt himself.

”Hey, what are you doing back down here anyways? Isn’t there supposed to be some sort of surprise or something from one of the Keepers?”

Blink. Surprise? Oh, breakfast.

"I got this before the announcement. I avoid big groups anyways, especially when you're expected to talk a lot," he answered slowly, then nodded to Jamie's arm. "You okay there?"

Xavier
Outside his room, Xavier felt a bit unnerved. He could tell people were up and about, but wasn’t sure if he should really join or not. He didn’t know many outside his pack, and many in his pack just thought he was trouble. He felt conflicted. Up to the living room, maybe kitchen. Outside even.

He stood in silence for a moment, thinking. Finally he decided to go on upstairs to the living room. There was no harm in trying. On his way up, he heard girls laughing, Elliott’s teasing, and other little sounds that indicated people were already up. It was all muffled though while in the basement, and became clearer as he came to the living room. Elliot was walking out, probably to his room. Two girls, from what he could tell were Bristol and Georgia, were on the floor cuddling. Glancing around, he also spotted Mindy. Sitting in the corner in a rocking chair. He wasn’t surprised really.

After looking among them, he decided to go outside and sit on the deck. Hopefully no one would mind, it’s not like he wasn’t allowed to leave anyways. Making his way outside he was pretty sure no one noticed him. He took a seat on the edge of the deck, looking out into the forest. He heard breakfast would be delivered, and could wait for that.

Jamie continued to attempt to ignore his wolf, inside concentrating hard on David, as if the boy in front of him could get his wolf to shut up. So many times he had tried to put up some kind of a mental wall to keep his wolf from coming through, but he always bashed right through it and kept on abusing Jamie. Sometimes concentrating on something else helped, but not for long. He couldn't even read more than a chapter in a book before his eyes ended up emptily scanning the page, his mind too busy battling with the voice inside his head. Now his wolf demanded to get out, he wanted to run. But that wasn't possible, he kept trying to tell him, his Keeper ordered for no wolves until after ten. Of course, the wolf cared little for this, deciding that he didn't have to listen to anyone but himself. This is the exact reason why he was always in trouble...

At David's question he stopped rubbing his arm, both hands dropping to his side as he cocked his head slightly to the side, examining the other man. "Um, yeah, I just bumped it off the railing after running into you." He laughed it off, like he did with almost anything he said. No matter how serious he was, he always ended what he said with a laugh. It was because of the way he doubted himself, how he didn't want anyone to pity him- in the case of being hurt -and he didn't want anyone to reject his ideas- in the case of suggesting something-.

"You wouldn't want to go for a run with me, would ya'? He had already pulled his phone out of his pocket, checking the time to make sure they'd have enough. "There's still like a half hour before nine, and we could head out the back way to make sure no one sees us?" His wolf grunted in approval, sounded annoyed with Jamie even though he was getting his way. There was really nothing he could do to please the grouchy animal. "Please?" He pulled out the puppy dog eyes, something Jamie was infamous for. It was how he got his way most of the time, when he really wanted something from someone.

David
David was absently picking at his shirt, watching Jamie go through some internal struggle. Or at least, that's what it looked like. It occurred to David Jamie was only a halfling, which he had somewhat forgotten. After all, he wasn't from his original pack. His wolf was probably bothering him, which David didn't quite get. Everyone acted like their wolf was so demanding, but his never was. The only time his wolf really wanted to take charge was when it felt in danger, angry, and other strong emotions. But David was mostly passive. So his wolf didn't bug him often. Maybe a little nudge here and there, but it never pushed him. But from what David could tell, Jamie's was pushing him.

"You wouldn't want to go for a run with me, would ya'?" James was suddenly speaking, snapping David from his thoughts. Run? Oh, that's what his wolf wanted. "There's still like a half hour before nine, and we could head out the back way to make sure no one sees us?"

David paused, unsure. If they got caught, he'd get an earful. From everyone. But then again, Jamie really looked like he had already made up his mind to go. They had enough time, probably. Shifting his weight from foot to foot, David looked down the stairs where he was headed in the first place, and back at Jamie.

"Please?" And of course puppy dog eyes. Sighing, rubbing the back of his head like he was still unsure, David nodded, shoulders slouched in defeat. Then he finally replied to the other.

"Alright, but only a quick run. I don't feel like having Rey or Elliot or even Georgia pissed at me, alright?"
