Death is all around us. It exists in the events of our actions, our creations, and the people that we interact with. It's been said that with all of these factors, Death has weaved an intricate plan that affects every living thing. The smallest change in this plan can have disastrous results that alters anyone lives. The possibilities of what may happen are endless. In many cases, there have been small groups of people to be in the center of these situations. These people have been apart of freak accidents that they should have died in, yet miraculously survived. Yet, one by one, they soon found themselves dying off one by one. It's been said that Death is responsible, correcting the original plan that was cheated. Ideas have been speculated as to what can be done to beat Death at its own game. While it can certainly be circumvented by having a person be skipped past, the only real way to beat it is create a life that should have been. However, after a new incident, these laws soon become invalidated as The Butterfly Effect begins to take effect.

When patrolling the streets of Manhattan, a man comes across a person who is destined to die. He narrowly stops her from being killed in an accident, but in the process, kills a person who would have normally been unaffected. After that, a new web is created. However, in attempts to protect those who become involved, the web begins to grow, threatening the balance of life and death. There is no set pattern to determine who can live or will die. As the people begin to die off, a hard decision becomes apparent. Those destined to die must accept their fate before the ripple that is caused does more damage than they can imagine. The only way they can survive is if they kill the only one who has the sight to protect them.

Toggle Rules

Like the films, death will be a constant factor. For certain, NPCs will encounter risks, and (if wanted by the RPers) our characters can too. Various signs will come about that provide hints about how one will be in danger. If the group can figure out what will happen, the character will survive. If not, they will die (or at the very least, be horribly maimed). While the clues will be easier to figure out, due to the person causing this having precognitive abilities, the caveat is that there is no set order, due to the fact that various individuals are basically constantly switching spots on Death's list (some may be safe while others can be put next on the list). In short, the chaos effect is constantly in play: one change can have unfortunately disastrous results.

In the technical side, all I ask is that people post at least a paragraph (it's hard to figure out what to do based on one or two liners), and have a decent sense of grammar. Other than that, I'm not too much of a stickler.
