Introduction

There is a place, a dimension called Jorindra. This world is like no other, where the elements rule. But there's a catch. The only ruling elements are Fire and Ice. The Earth element is called the Father of the Land. He is Land. He is everywhere. His kingdom is both the Fire and Ice's territories. He decides how plants grow, where landmarks appear, all that and more. The Air element is Mother of the Sky. She is the air we breath. She's the sun and the moon. Her kingdom are the clouds in the sky. She tells when it rains, snows, shines, whether it'll be hot or cold. She can split the weather. Have it snow in the Ice territory and (sun)shine in the Fire territory. How the two territories are divided is by a very tall, very thick wall that stretches from one end of the land to the other (kind of like the Great Wall of China). This is the Haevan Wall. Both sides are equally parted, but both sides want to gain more land. So, a war broke out. One that's been going on for far too long.

Eldur, also know as the Kingdom of Fire. The Eldur Kingdom is descried as one with little life. The buildings made of all types of stone. Roads of dirt and pebbles. Only the small eastern forest lives within the heated boundaries of Eldur, but any animals that aren't accustomed to the heat cannt able to live there because of it's usually so hot. There is, however, a river that flows across Eldur and goes into the Ice Kingdom. The Eldur Castle lays north from it's city. Behind it, is the Void. The Void is a volcano (Here it's just an ordinary volcano) that produces the elemental fire power that the Eldur citizens can use. The Void is used as a means to let the citizens obtain fire abilities. When one is a new born, the family along with the Royal family brings the baby to the top of the Void. Which just peaks over the Haevan Wall. The baby is then held over the Void and is to drink the fire-lava of the Void. This, of course, does not harm the new born in anyway. The child then receives a fire(lava)-stone necklace which they are to wear until they reach the age of 13. The fire-stone sort of traps the child's fire abilities until they reach teenhood. The fire abilities a child can have range from anything that applies to fire like smoke, lava, lightning, fire and all that. Now, the citizens of Eldur have specific characteristics in appearances. Besides just Fire attributes you would also see some of which belong to Earth. For example any shade of brown, black orange, or red hair; eye color ranging from brown, green, red, or yellow/gold; and sun-kissed tanned skin.

The Ice Kingdom, is more known to be called Vatnís. This kingdom has a similar description to that of Eldur, as one with frozen life. Now in Vatnís, the buildings are made of wood and ice. The roads are actually very grassy, but with patches of snow everywhere. There is a forest the practically surrounds Vatnís, but most of the tree's leaves are gone only evergreen and pine trees have there green. Because Vatnís is cold, they have a lot of winter animals like wolves, rabbits, and deer. Like The Eldur Castle, the Vatnís Castle is set north of it's city. Vatnís, too has a volcano that lays behind the castle. The Pit is Vatnís's volcano, but unlike Eldur's fire volcano, the Pit is an ice volcano. It too just peaks over the Haevan Wall. The Pit generates the elemental ice power that Vatnís and it's citizens can use. Vatnís has a similar ritual the Eldur has for new borns. The family of the new born, along with the Royal family, brings the baby to the top of the Pit. The baby is then held over the Pit and is to drink the ice-lava of the Void. This, of course, does not harm the new born in anyway. The child then receives an ice(lava)-stone necklace which they are to wear until they reach the age of 12. The ice(lava)-stone traps the child's ice abilities until they reach adolescence. Now, The only reason Vatnís's children can release their powers one years ealier than Eldur children is because their power is less destructive. The ice abilities a child can obtain ranged from anything that applies to ice like water, fog, mist, ice and the likes. Now, Vatnís's citizens have their own special characteristics in appearances. Besides just Ice attributes you would also see some of which belong to Air. Such as eyes the color of blue, hazel, gray, or purple; hair color the shade of any blonde, blue, purple or white/silver; and pale snow-licked skin.

I. Posting. Be at least SEMI-LITERATE! Correct spelling and punctuation. Also as LEAST two paragraph (that's TEN sentences) per post! I'll let you off with seven. However, if you intend to give me only seven sentences, at least give me good ones. I refuse to accept "Blank did this. He danced everywhere. He did that. Meh. Double meh." Please add your character's name and a picture (maybe a quote too?) to the top of all your post, if you don't want to/know how to (for the picture), at least add your character's name (again maybe a quote too). Choose a legible font for your post. For one, I like to have a different font for my character's name at top (and a quote) than the font I'd use in the actual Roleplay. I also like to have a different colors for Talking, Thoughts, and Others Talking; Thoughts being italicize and Others Talking being bold print. You, of course, don't have to do all this work. But if you decide to, then also pick a legible color to read in.

II. Going to be Gone? If you are going to be gone for a long while (more then 2 weeks) then please PM me OR post in the OOC thread that you are. I have a tendency to post then take a week to reply to a post. For that, I will apologize in advance! But the reason being is that I am a human being. I have a life outside of this website that I have a responsibility to care for. I attend college and work, so I don't have time to go on here everyday all day long. I know that you, too, have a life. So, if you'll bare with me and my week long wait for a reply, then I to will bare with you and await for your post.

This isn't a rule, but I want to put this here anyways:

* I live in the time zone PST (Pacific Standard Time). If you don't have the same time zone, then I would like to know yours. So I can understand how much further ahead or behind you are on time.

** My work schedule varies every week. It's a Monday-Sunday chart, in which I will know when I work the next week on Friday or Saturday. If you would like to know my weekly work schedule, to get a better idea of my own availability, I would not mind to send it you via PM.

*** On the other hand, my college schedule is much easier to tell. I attend school every Tuesday morning from 8:00am to 12:00pm and all day every Thursday from 8:00am to 10:00pm. So most likely I will not go on at all Thursdays.

**** I was wondering if it would be alright for you to send me this information as well via PM, so no one else will see it. Time zone, work and/or school schedule. That way I can have a better idea of your availability. Of course, you don't have to if you don't want to.

It was just another day for the young Vatnis princess. She escaped her princess lessons and went off to where the river meets the Haevan Wall. She had found a secret hidden between Vatnis and Eldur. Haevan Wall was just on the outskirts of the Kingdom, about 15 miles away. She came across this secret a few days ago when she accidentally fell in the river. You see, underneath Haevan Wall where the river was, there are thick bars to let the water pass through to the other side. When Crystal fell into the river, the ripple caused part of the frozen layer to drift to Haevan Wall, covering her way to get out. Now the river's current is pretty strong, especially right next to Haevan Wall. The current was pushing her into the bars and she couldn't concentrate on melting the ice trapping her. Luckily, one of the bars were loose and popped right out of it's place. The space was big enough for Crystal to fit through, which the current made her go through. Right when she reached the surface, she instantly know she was in Eldur. She was still in the river, but it felt oddly warm, relaxing almost. Soon enough, she had come to enjoy the warmth of the river on the Eldur side.

This lead to her little secret. Every time Crystal wanted to escaped her lessons or royal duties, she would go to the river and remove the bar to relax in the warm waters of Eldur. Today was one of those days. Reaching the river, Crystal placed her bag down on the ground next to the river. She undressed, only leaving her black bra and black panties on. She stuffed her clothes in the bag, which also had a towel. Getting in the river, a shiver ran up her spine. But she quickly got use to the ice cold waters. Taking a deep breath, she went underwater to remove the loose bar. Once she did, she placed it next to her bag. She dived down again, passing through the bars and popping up on the other side of Haevan Wall. She was now in Eldur territory. She knew if she ever got caught, the consequences would be severe. She let her nerves relax as she floated on her back in the water. She carefully made sure she wouldn't drift too far down the river that she knew she'd be seen.

((I can only see her parents' pictures in the history part of her profile.))

Ahuv traveled further towards the wall than usual. The reason was simple, he wanted to put an end to his quest of vengeance and felt ready to follow through. It has been ten years since the Eldur Prince witnessed the tragedy unfold before him, and he remembered that day as if it were yesterday:

He and his entire family were visiting a small village which needed some water in order to survive, promising the villagers to help in that regard, including the construction of a well. Right when his mother was about to talk to the village elders, the Vatnis came. Spikes of ice came in every direction, sending the villagers panicking as they attempted to flee. It was to no avail, the entire village was surrounded. The Vatnis troops displayed no mercy towards the inhabitants, not even the children were spared. Thankfully, the local soldiers and militia present halted the massacre, allowing any survivors from the village to escape.

The village was merely a mask of the Vatnis' true intentions: they aimed for the deaths of the Eldur royals. The enemy realized the end of the war would come from the demise of the ones leading the Eldur war effort. While most others on both sides were preoccupied with the battle at hand, a blue-haired man in a headband glared at Ahuv for a moment, their eyes' meeting each others', prior to the man's lunge towards the boy with his sword. Instead of a fatal stab, the sword clashed with another, that belonging to Ahuv's older sister, Ruth.

It was not long after the face off began that Ahuv's mother engaged, as well, teaming up with Ruth. All the eight-year-old boy could do was watch in terror. This was not like when Ruth trained him in swordsmanship: it was the real thing, with much more graphic results. Worse yet, this was all to protect him, whom, at the time, was not in line for the throne! The person that was originally meant to be the successor was Ruth! Even with different circumstances, Ahuv would never have wanted his relatives to be in harm's way.

He cried out, "Mom! Ruth! Get away from here! Run!"

It was no use, neither woman would leave without him. Despite succeeding in keeping the man a considerable distance away from their beloved Ahuv, it became apparent the two women would not live to see another day due to their running low on stamina from the intense fighting. And then, with one swift stroke, they were felled by the man's blade.

Tears came down the boy's cheeks, his eyes widened while he let out a semi-long, "No!" He could not bring himself to look upon the scene, after that. He knew the man was free to attack him, yet he did not care. Ahuv lost two people he held dear, that was all that mattered to him. His sobs became heavy, his emotions swelling, the Inferno within begging to come out. Until, at last, right when it seemed the boy would be slain, his lava stone broke as he gave out a single shout of grief. The Inferno was unleashed.

His shouts of mournful grief echoed for miles around, heard above the crackling sounds of the flames engulfing the battle scene. All the while, many Vatnis troops caught within the flames the instant they came, perished. Try as they could, none of the enemy could put out those same flames. They only began to disappear when Ahuv became exhausted to where began to lose consciousness. Right before everything turned black, he caught a glimpse of the man who murdered his mother and sister, now with scorch marks everywhere as he gritted his teeth angrily at the boy for a moment. All Ahuv could hear as everything turned black was the murderer shouting, "Retreat! We failed our King! Retreat!"

Ten years it has been, ten years. The Inferno Paladin now stood at the exact spot his mother and sister were killed. The bodies were long since buried at a memorial far from the scene, yet the ruins remained. Here, he was determined to begin his search for the killer where he should have, to begin with. The wind has not reached this place for so long, the footprints from that day became permanent. Ahuv knew exactly which ones would lead to the source of the Vatnis' breach of the wall.

Soon enough, the trail ended along the banks of the river, where he spotted a figure in the distance. The person was feminine, as far as he could tell. Upon closer inspection from a safe distance, so not to be spotted, there was no doubt to it: she was a Vatnis. Why is she here, where she could wind up slain by my people? No matter... since the trail ends here, she could only have gotten to Eldur via this river. Ahuv knew exactly what to do. Hiding behind a boulder so not to be seen, he changed into an amphibious warfare suit, basically a crocodile leather outfit, then placed his other clothes in his backpack. Once last glance at the girl, whom he honestly thought was beautiful, and he dove into the water when he was sure he would not be seen.

He figured the best way to avoid her eyes was to swim under her when she was still on her back along the stream. Ahuv applied that assumption and did just that before he eventually came across bars that allowed water to go through the wall. No wonder. The moment he went through the opening was when he felt the sting of the chilly waters of Vatnis, causing him to wince and shut his eyes for a moment. He fortunately did not open his mouth, plus he got used to the change of temperature after a bit. He finally shot his head up once he knew he was next to land.

There, he saw the missing bar and a bag he assumed was the girl's. He did her a courtesy by leaving it be as he set his feet onto the snow and sprinted towards the woods, where he set up a fire with the broken-off branches surrounding him once he was deep enough in it. Ahuv realized the Kingdom was a ways ahead, meaning he had time to rest and dry up.

((Care to follow him? XD ))

((Fixed the pics. Oh! I forgot to mention. People of Vatnis are called Vatnians and people from Eldur are called Eldurians. I know, the names are so creative aren't they!))

While floating down the river, Crystal felt a strange presence go by her. She ducked underwater, slightly poking her head out of the top. Looking around, she saw nothing. Better go back..before it gets too late and the guards start searching for me... She swam back to the wall, diving under and going through the bars. Once she was back on the Vatnis side, Crystal grabbed the loose bar and went underwater. She set the bar back in it's original place, making sure it looked like it was never removed. Going back above water, she hauled herself out of the water and up on to the snowy ground. She was now laying on the snow covered ground, letting the cold consume her.

When Crystal was ready to move, she got up and opened her bag. Must of snowed a bit more... She thought, noticing a light coat of snow on top of her stuff (also covering up footprints made by an unwelcome guest). Inside was her clothes and a towel, which she wrapped around herself to dry off some. She made her way into the woods, taking her bag of clothes with her. Stopping about a mile deep in the woods, she placed her bag down next to a tree and unwrapped herself, flinging her towel over a low branch. She tied her hair up in a bun to get it out of the way. She took off her wet bra and panties, dropping them on the ground, and put on a dry pair. Then she got dressed. She wore thick dark purple leggings, a black half long-sleeved shirt, black socks and brown leather boots, a grey felt coat with a matching gray knitted beret, and finally a cream colored scarf with matching gloves. Even though the Vatnian girl has ice powers, doesn't meant she can't get sick from being too cold. Undoing her hair and taking the towel down, Crystal dried her hair as much as she could. She then stuffed the wet towel and clothes onto her bag, before continuing her way through the woods.

On her way back to the castle, Crystal noticed something strange. There was a small stream of smoke coming from some trees up ahead. I wonder who that is? For one, not many of us use fire except for cooking reasons...But to have a fire in the middle of the woods...Quite strange... Curious, she cautiously made her way towards the smoke, the light from the fire illuminating more of the woods as she got closer. Once she was close enough to see the silhouette of a person, she stopped behind a tree. Just a little closer... Moving some more, she made sure not to make to much noise walking through the crunching snow.

Crystal was now about ten feet away. She was hiding behind another tree and could get a better view of who this mystery person was. Instantly, she knew it was a male. He seemed to have a somewhat strong built. A solider, maybe? But who's side? Shouldn't he be on the battle grounds? The war is much more down south. On the beach. She leaned closer, squinting a bit to try and get some details. Crystal's blue eyes widened and she gasped, quickly covering her mouth when she did. Did he hear me? She wondered, taking a step back. He was an Eldurian. At first she though he just had dark purple or blue hair, maybe got lost in the woods. But she knew his hair was black, meaning he was from Eldur. Another step back. She was in terrified shock. She hadn't seen someone from Eldur since the incident seven years ago. She took one more step back, but ended up stepping on a fallen branch. It made a loud 'CRACK' sound. She froze in place. Surely he heard that. She could run, go get help from the guards, warn the castle, something. But her feet wouldn't move, no matter how hard she tried.

Ahuv heard a gasp in the distance, knowing it was female. Granted, he had a mother and sister that knew how to fight, yet women most did not, as far as he could tell. Of course, he was not sure anyone was there, since it was faint, so he paid no heed to it until he heard a branch crack. The Eldurian prince jerked his head in the direction of the sound. His eyes widened at the sight of the girl, the very same he spotted earlier. His face remained straight, yet his eyes betrayed a mix of adoration and sympathy. The poor young lady was obviously frightened to where she could not even move.

He glanced back at the fire for a moment, not sure what to say or do. He realized one wrong move could spell disaster. After all, Vatnians and Eldurians rarely got along. After careful consideration, he placed his water-proof backpack down and brought out a date (shown below).

Image

Also pulling out a knife, he cut it in two and pulled out the long seed inside. Ahuv next walked towards the girl and held out one half to her. This gesture would hopefully calm her nerves. He waited for her to accept it before saying in his typical, nonchalant voice, "I'm not your typical Eldurian." His now-free hand motioned for her to come with him as went he back down towards the fire and sat on the log he had set by it, patting on a spot next to him to signal for her to sit down. From there, he began to eat his half of the date, which was sweet to the taste.

Swallowing his first bite after chewing, he told the Vatnian girl. "The war means nothing to me. Only vengeance. It all happened ten years ago, when I was only eight. The incident was at a now-abandoned village that is not far from where you swam. My family was present to help with a water crisis. Then, the Vatnian troops suddenly came and began a massacre of the inhabitants. The local militia worked cooperatively with the Royal Guard to fend off the attackers, thus there were some survivors who escaped into the desert. The destruction of the village and its residents was not the enemy's aim, however: they knew the Eldurian war effort would rise and fall with my family that rules Eldur. One man stands above the rest, the one who led the attack, to begin with. He was the one who murdered my older sister, Ruth, and my mother, right before my eyes. They fought him to keep me alive, yet they were defeated and killed by him. I never forgave him for slaying them, which is why I am searching for him."

Now that the explanation was out of the way, he brought out a dead beetle from his pack, unsheathed his scimitar, then skewered the thing with it before setting it over the fire to cook it. The Inferno Paladin kept his face at the direction of the fire while his eyes turned to look at the girl. "My name is Ahuv Andros Takeda. What's yours?"

Crystal couldn't help but watch the Eldurian man take out some sort of fruit from his backpack. He also had a knife, which he cut the fruit in half than took out the seed in the middle. She only stared when he started walking over to her. She noticed something right away, he looked just a little older than herself, maybe around Keanu's age. When he held one half of the fruit out to her, she couldn't stop herself from taking a step back as he got closer, a bit relieved that her feet finally moved. But, hesitantly she reached out and took the partial fruit from him. He told her that he wasn't a typical Eldurian, then went back over to the fire, motioning her to go over. No kidding... She thought to herself, slowly walking over to the log. Once he sat down, he patted the spot next to him, telling her to sit down. She didn't want to at first, but then sat down.

Crystal took her first bite of the fruit, surprised that it tasted so sweet. She wanted to ask what kind of fruit it was, but the Eldurian boy began speaking. He started talking about a Vatnian raid the happened ten years ago, in a small Eldur village near Haevan Wall. She remembered hearing about something like that when she was six. She kept quiet, listening to the boys story, as she are the fruit. When he finished talking, she couldn't help but feel bad for him. She knew exactly how it felt to see a loved one die in front of your eyes. She noticed he was roasting some type of bug over the fire. She cold feel his eyes on her, but he faced the hot flames as he introduced himself.

Before she told the Eldurian, Ahuv, her own name; Crystal took a deep breath. "I remember that. The raid at least." She said, her voice much quieter than she intended. "I was six at the time and I stumbled upon a conversation I don't think I was suppose to hear. One of the head generals were discussing to infuriate the Eldur castle. He was talking to a small group of soldiers, about 20 I think, and they were saying to not tell the king about it as he wouldn't approve. They gathered their gear and headed out that night. I don't know how they got over to that village but I think they got through like we did, under the wall and between the bars. Our king found out about this attack and when the soldiers came back, they were stripped of their powers and banished to the outer regions of Vatnis with nothing. The king said that the two kingdoms were close to a settlement, a treaty, but because of the raid they were in an even deeper conflict." She glanced at Ahuv, then back to the fire. So how, she hated the fire but loved how it looked. "I don't know if those men are still alive to get your revenge. But if you dwell to much on the past, your mind set on vengeance, your heart will fall into a pit of darkness. You might never be able to crawl out." She told him, halfly because she needed to say it to herself. There was sadness lingering in her voice.

Just then, in the distance, drums and trumpets could be heard. "The guards. They mush be searching for me. I better go." Crystal stood up, looking at Ahuv. "You should hid. If the guards see you, it'll be troublesome." She dashed off into the woods, but stopped a few feet away. "My name's Crystal Feya Zamrażać, by the way. If we see each other again. I'll tell you my story." With that being said, she ran of deeper into the woods towards the castle.

Ahuv turned his undivided attention to her once she said, "I remember that. The raid, at least. I was six, at the time, when I stumbled upon a conversation I don't think I was supposed to hear. One of the head generals was discussing a plan to infiltrate the Eldurian castle. He was talking to a small group of soldiers, about 20, I think, and they were saying not to tell the king as he wouldn't approve. They gathered their gear and headed out that night. I don't know how they got over to that village, but I think they got through like we did, under the wall and between the bars. Our king found out about this attack and when the soldiers came back, they were stripped of their powers and banished to the outer regions of Vatnis with nothing. The king said that the two kingdoms were close to a settlement, a treaty, but because of the raid, they were in an even deeper conflict."

Ahuv raised an eyebrow when considering how she only saw about 20 men. Twenty men could not have completely surrounded that village or even stood a chance in that battle. It would have taken up to double the amount. The others must have been waiting. what he next heard from her, especially in the tone she used, caused him to be even more curious. Hash she gone through something similar? He was about to find out when they both heard drums and trumpets in the distance. The sound of those instruments felt strange to him, yet he knew this was not the time to be thinking about it as he heard them, before, during his own battles in the war. It was confirmed by Crystal, as she later introduced herself as, that military personnel were on their way. Once she was out of sight, Ahuv wasted no time in using his pyromancy to envelope himself in the flames before making them so he would be invisible while the fire itself would not scorch or burn anything.

With stealth no longer a problem, he leapt up into the nearest tree he could get on top of before acrobatically making his way back to the river, where he dove in, thus putting out the stealth flames. He could waste no time, at that point: he went under the wall without delay and surfaced where he began his trip. The roasted beetle was still dry, as he placed it in his pack, so he brought it out and began eating it, pondering on what his next move should be. He did not stay completely focused, however, as Crystal's face kept coming back to his mind, as well as when he saw her swimming, to begin with, both when he was out of and in the water. He kept on saying to himself that it was merely infatuation, that he would get over it soon enough. It did not put an end to her continually coming into his thoughts, however, which irritated him some. Of all other people in the world, why did he have to be attracted to a girl he barely knew, let alone a Vatnitian one?

After leaving Ahuv, Crystal ran through the woods. She made sure to hide behind trees whenever she heard the guards. That way she wouldn't get caught by the them and get in trouble. She was only doing so because she wasn't allowed to be near the Wall as it was "too dangerous" according to her parents. It took her about hour to get back to the castle. Which was surprisingly half the time she made it to the river. But the was probably because she walked to the river and ran back to the castle. She snuck inside the castle through the back. Having to take the stairs up to the storage tower, then had to take another set of stairs down into the hall. She stopped at the bottom of the stairs to catch her breath. Her face felt a little flushed from running.

Once Crystal's heart steadied and her cheeks weren't red anymore, she casually made her way to her room. "It's almost time for dinner...better wash up and get ready.." She told herself, going through the halls of the Vatnís Castle. "Ah yes. Wouldn't want mother and father to know we were out in the woods without permission again. Now would we?" A voice came from behind, which made the girl jump. She quickly spun around on her heels, only to stare up at her eldest brother, Dmitri.

"D-Dmitri! H-How did you know I was in the woods?" Crystal asked, putting her hand to her heart, feeling the quick pace. "Simple. You tracked mud inside. Now the poor maids will have to clean all that up." Dmitri shrugged, pointing to the muddy footprints. "Next time you want to be sneaky, remember to remove your shoes when you come inside." With that being said, he ruffled his hand through his sister's hair before walking off to the dinning hall.

Muttering, Crystal made it back to her room without anymore encounters. She took off her shoes, then washed up, cleaning the dirt from her hands. She checked herself in the mirror, debating whether to change or not. Since there was no evidence of being outside on her clothes, she chose to keep her outfit on and not change. Barefoot, the girl left her room and went to the dinning hall.

Dinner was of pork, veggies, and biscuits. There was conversation of the war being discussed between Crystal's father; Lord Mortimer, Dmitri, and Keanu; her second older brother. Her mother, Talise and Silvia, her older sister were talking about how princess practices were going with Crystal. While she quietly sat there eating.

Once dinner finished, Crystal went back to her room. She had taken a shower and was now laying on her bed reading. But for some reason she couldn't get the Eldurian boy, Ahuv, out of her mind. After a while, the girl decided to go to sleep

After several attempts at clearing his mind, in addition to changing into his other clothes (which were more practical than elegant), Ahuv began his long sprint back home. He made it back in time to conduct the military drills for his personal troops. He was the one who conducted the training regimes for his men in order to keep them in fighting shape for when they either head out into Vatnitian territory, or quell the usual fighting between warring clans within Eldur's own boundaries that compete for water from the Oases scattered about. Of course, the day would not be complete without a noblewoman close to his age coming to try to court him. This time, it was a shorter gal in clothing glittered with jewelry in an artistic way. The young woman was a bit flirty when trying to talk to him, but Ahuv simply moved his hand to motion her to leave.

That not only ticked off the young lady that tried so hard to impress him, yet also Ahuv's younger brother, Saul. ((Picture shown below this paragraph.)) He attempted to grab his older brother by the arm, but Ahuv saw that coming, by now, meaning it was no use. Ahuv merely reacted by having his younger brother pinned to a wall with just one hand to keep him at bay.

Nevertheless, Saul shouted angrily at him, "Ahuv, why the quick rejection!? What's your problem with this girl!?"

Ahuv's simple reply was, "Too frivolous."

"That's what you say about every lady who comes your way! Sooner or later, you are going to have to choose one! Unless you find some commoner whom is up to your liking, your chances of finding your ideal girl are slim! When you are going to face reality!?"

Ahuv let go without answering, only heading towards his room, which he modified to be simplistic compared to other rooms. There, he thought some more about Crystal before falling asleep.

Crystal woke up to a soft pounding at her door. A female voice called out, hushed and barely audible at first, then a bit louder. "Princess Crystal, breakfast will be ready in the dinning hall in about an hour." The voice belonged to Haydn, her own personal servant. Whom only gotten a muttered sound of annoyance in response. "Would you like me to assist you in getting ready for the day?"

Sluggishly getting out of bed, Crystal dragged her feet across the floor and over to her door. Opening it stood a brown haired boy with deep emerald green eyes in front of her. They were about the same height, but Haydn looked two or three inches taller. Crystal nodded her head. She could easily get herself ready, but since she was up late last night having a certain someone on her mind, she just didn't think she had the energy to do much.

Haydn came into the room, he gave his mistress a concerned look and whispered. "Crystal..." Only to receive a warning glance. "I'll go start a bath for you, Princess." Though he wanted to ask if she had another dream about Jaydan, since she was always so tired when she did, but did not want to bring any painful memories up if it wasn't about him.

When the bath was prepared and clothes were put out, Haydn excused himself and left, knowing to be near so he'd be able to hear Crystal called when she wants him to come back.

Once Crystal finished her bath, she wrapped herself in a towel and called Haydn back into the room. He help her finish getting ready for the day. "Breakfast is now ready in the dining hall." Haydn lead Crystal to the dining hall where her family was already seated and waiting.

Breakfast went by quickly. The men talked about the war, the armies and their individual squadrons. While the ladies talked about other stuff. Crystal wasn't really paying any attention to it. All she knew was that Silvia wanted to have another princes lesson with her later today.

Going back to her room, Crystal was stopped by her brother Keanu. "Cryssi! You seemed a bit out of it at breakfast today. Something on your mind?" He asked her, running up from behind.

"Well...there is something on my mind..." She paused, not knowing of she should tell her brother about her forest experience. "It was just some talk I heard around the kingdom. About one of the Eldurians. I think the name was Ahuv. I was just wondering who he was. That's all."

"Hmmm. Ahuv? I'm fairly certain that that is the Eldurian's Prince, and the heir to Eldur's throne. I don't know much about him. Maybe you should go ask Tamar. She was a bodyguard of Ahuv during his military campaigns, before we retrieved her." Keanu suggested, as the two siblings walked down the hall. "I believe she's doing laundry right now in the back."

Crystal thanked her brother and smiled. She then headed off to the opposite way and outside to the back of the castle. There, she indeed found Tamar doing laundry. "Hey, Tamar. Can I ask you something?"

Tamar was hard at work with the laundry. Sure she was a slave, yet she was not treated as poorly as some could be. Secretly, she had a crush on Keanu, despite his constant teasing of her. Of course, she realized the odds of a Vatnitian returning the feelings of an Eldurian. She heard footsteps coming her direction and looked there to see Crystal coming. The former bodyguard smiled a little at that. "Good morning, Princess Crystal!" Upon hearing the query of whether to pose another one, Tamar simply nodded with, "Of course, milady! Ask away!"

---

Ahuv woke up early and grabbed his gear. After breakfast, which consisted of unleavened bread, dates, and a glass of kefir, the Inferno Paladin trained with his troops before heading off to quell yet another feud between clans. This time, it was near the wall, since the two clans moved towards the river and clashed paths, resulting in hostilities over land rights. As usual, he warned both clans that their respective leaders would be punished if the fighting continued. The typical response was aggression towards the prince, resulting in him slaying both clan leaders and forcing both clans to enter negotiations.

With that crisis averted, Ahuv sent his men away before plunging into the water to swim under the wall once there were no witnesses. Once on the other side, he switched from his amphibious uniform to a heavier one that would keep him warm in the cold weather that was Vatnis. If that murderer is on the outskirts, that is where I am headed. He applied stealth and acrobatics to avoid detection from any guards patrolling the woods. As he did, however, Crystal entered his mind, again. It was unclear to him why, except he felt some sort of attraction to her.

Crystal stopped short in front of Tamar, gathering her thoughts. "My brother, Keanu," she stated his name so that Tamar knew which brother she was talking about, "said that you were the bodyguard of...What's his name?" Pretending to not know his name, as to not bring about suspicions. "Ummm Ahuv, I think it was? Anyways, Keanu tells me that since you were always around this Eldurian as a bodyguard, you must have known a great amount of him." She paused, letting the information sink in, as she thought more of what to say. "So I'd like for you to tell me all you know about this Eldurian man, Ahuv." Crystal told Tamar, her own voice sounding a bit more superior then it did before. "And if you much know why I need this information, it is because I am studying up on Eldurian politics and culture to get a better grasp and understanding of this situation and this war that is going on in my country."

Tamar's eyes widened at the mention of Ahuv, her smile turning into a concerned expression. At that moment, she stopped her work. She felt like there was more to what Crystal was saying, yet the woman indulged the princess the information. First, she turned her eyes to the side and said, "Yes, I know him quite well."

She continued from there. "Ahuv was not the original person in line to inherit the throne. It was actually his older sister, Ruth, whom he looked up to quite a bit. She was the one whom got him interested in swordsmanship. Not only was she a skilled fighter, but also one whom broke the status quo for a princess, even one meant to inherit the throne. She held no interest in anything fancy. I imagine that was where Ahuv got the idea that anything super elegant was 'too frivolous'. It even shows to this day whenever a woman from the Eldurian nobility attempts to court him. Many a girl would dress up to impress him, only to be immediately dismissed." Tamar laughed softly for a moment before adding, "I remember him being at a festival with all the clans gathered. All he did at the event was stand watch in case of troublemakers."

Getting more serious, now, Tamar felt it time to move on to more important details. "The reason Ahuv is in line, now, is because of a Vatnitian-conducted ambush at my home village. I remember that dreadful day as if it was yesterday. We were dangerously low on water from the well, so the Eldurian royals came by to assess the situation and discuss with the village elders the building of an underwater canal leading from the river so that there would be a more lasting supply of water. Right in the middle of planning, the assailants arrived and started massacring the inhabitants of the place I had called home up till that point. Our local militia and the royal troops worked cooperatively to keep the enemy at bay long enough for most everyone to escape. Being only a kid at the time, just like Ahuv, I stayed behind and watched; I did not know any better.

"What I saw involving Ahuv was the leader of the raiders stopped what he was doing when he caught site of Ahuv, then tried to kill him. His mother and Ruth kept that from happening, at the cost of their own lives. I could see the mix of despair, anger, and hatred swelling within Ahuv immediately after that moment. Tears came down his eyes, his muscles shaking from his emotions, until..." Tamar brought out a lava stone shard and showed it to Crystal. "His lava stone broke right before the man could get the chance to deal the lethal blow to him. This was the one piece of it I could find. Once it broke, fire was released from him uncontrollably, killing off most of the attackers at once. The guy in charge of the raid barely made it out alive before begrudgingly ordering a retreat to the surviving enemies."

Tamar put away the shard prior to resuming the explanation. "The village was later deemed hazardous because of its close proximity to the wall. Nobody was allowed to live there, since. The ruins remain as a reminder of the tragic deaths of the of the Queen and Princess of Eldur, as well as the horror witnessed in the area. Everything was left undisturbed after the battle. You can see the village as it was in the aftermath of that day, assuming you were to ever go there. The glass on the ground is from Ahuv's Inferno, as the ability came to be called. The flames only subsided when he lost consciousness."

Looking towards the display of an Eldurian sword, her sword, displayed as a trophy, she continued, still. "Years later, as his bodyguard, I saw that he had become a man whom buries all of his emotions. Every last one. The only indication of how he feels is the expression in his eyes. It takes a perceptive individual to decipher his emotions. Most of the time, his eyes entail a bitterness, a hidden rage. Sometimes, from those same eyes, there is sadness. I don't recall a time he has ever been happy, not since the Queen and Princess died."

"Frequently, he will take his troops to quell the fighting among clans competing for whatever scarce water sources there are beyond the river. I would accompany him every time. Were his words to fail to pacify the clans, he would kill the leaders on all sides to make the point clear that order and cooperation with each other is demanded by the royal house on pain of death. Justice is swift and brutal in cases of civil war between factions. The royal house of Eldur tolerates no such conflict within the land. Ahuv is called the Inferno Paladin because he upholds such order and more, helping the poor and needy where the nobility would not, thus preventing further bloodshed between clans. He is a hero of the common folk."

Tamar turned her gaze back to Crystal. "As far as his involvement in the war with Vatnis, his strategies against armies are only a cover for his one motivation: to kill the man who slew his mother and sister. In between international battles, he will continue his pursuit of that one assailant from that day. If he learns that the one he is after was banished to the outskirts of Vatnis, that is where Ahuv will go. He is that determined. I doubt anything can stop him, at that point. He has entertained thoughts of revenge for so long, it would take a miracle to change his mindset. In training with his personal troops, he trains his mind and body for the day he and the killer will meet again."

Ahuv realized he could not hope to make it to his destination in one night. So, heading over to the southern side of the river (the side closer to the nearest outskirt), he set up camp further away from the river so not to be seen by the guards. Most would be focused on more populated areas or the battles going on. The same fighting would provide an excellent distraction for his pursuit.

Crystal noticed the change in Tamar's expression. Was it that strange for her to ask such a question? She'd always ask her own personal servant, Haydn (another slave they retrieved from Eldur) about his life in Eldur. He never thought of any strangeness in it. Though, she guessed it probably was because she asked Tamar so sudden and it was about a specific person, the heir to Eldur no less, rather than the general question 'What was Eldur like?'

When Tamar confirmed that she know Ahuv quiet well, she still listened closely to what she was being told, taking mental notes on almost everything. Ahuv had mentioned that, his sister, hadn't he? She stayed quiet as Tamar explained who Ahuv was, how he was like, and what had happened to him.

It was a bit funny, Ahuv's sister Ruth seemed just like Crystal. They both were good at swordsmanship, though she doesn't know how much better Ruth was then her. She wasn't at all princesslike as her sister Silvia and it seemed Ruth was the same. She had to let out a small laugh when Tamar mentioned that Ahuv thought if anything was too elegant it would be too frivolous.

Once Tamar refer to the Vatnian-conducted ambush, she remembered what Ahvu told her. Taking the little bit of the story she had already known and the one Tamar was telling her, she put them both together. Again, she couldn't help but feel bad for him. Their stories (Ahuv's and Crystal's) were too much of the same. A raid from the other kingdom, killing loved ones. Just hearing what happened during the raid made Crystal mentally kick herself. I should of done something! I knew what their plans was! Why didn't I go tell father! I might have been able to prevent that! She wanted to scream, she felt so stupid for not doing anything that night. Though, she was only six, she didn't know better. But that didn't help calm her nerves.

Seeing the shard of Ahuv's lava stone made Crystal subconsciously reach up and grabbed the necklace she was wearing. It was her twin, Jaydan's ice stone. She squeezed it, remembering how she felt, how she acted when she saw Jaydan get killed right in front of her. It was the same way Ahuv did. The half melted, ice dome and spikes that will forever cover the area the incident happened at. She shivered at the memory, releasing her grip on the stone and lowering her hand back down. She can even sort of relate to how he is now. Though instead of burying all her emotions like Ahuv, she acts all happy and jittery just to hide all the pain and sadness she truly feels.

Unfortunately, Crystal started spacing out, as she was stuck on her memories of that day. She really didn't hear anything Tamar said after how she described his non-existing emotions. It wasn't until Tamar noted that Ahuv's one true motive is to kill the Vatnian soldier. That's when she snapped back. "Wait. What?" That was the first time she spoke out loud since Tamar began talking about Ahuv. "You mean, if he finds out that the soldier was in the outskirts of Vatnis because of his banishment, he's go there? Like right away?" She blinked a few times, trying to not look so surprised. I shouldn't have said anything! I should have kept quiet about the banishment part!

"Ahm. That will be all Tamar. Please continue your work here." Crystal said, as composed as she could muster up. When really she was freaking out on the inside. She turned away and walked off. Once out of site, she ran to the stables. Ahuv would be much further ahead of her by now if he left this morning. Going on foot would take too long to catch up. Finding her horse, Kai, she jumped on and rode off towards the river.

Once at the river, she decided to head up towards the beach. She was going fast, but slow enough for her to look around and see if she could spot anything out of the ordinary. Like a fire again.

Tamar was inwardly curious as to what could be the reason for Crystal's bringing up Ahuv, to begin with. Judging from the girl's reaction to hearing about Ahuv's quest for revenge, the maidservant could only imagine the princess had met the Eldurian Crown Prince. This troubled Tamar, because for all she knew, Ahuv could see the poor girl as a hindrance to his plans. She resumed her work as instructed prior to finishing it and bringing the laundry to its proper places. With that out of the way, Tamar searched for Keanu to tell him of her suspicions. At last, she found him.

The maidservant approached Keanu with concern displayed in her eyes and face. "Master Keanu, darling? Have you noticed anything odd in how Crystal is behaving, lately?" Taking a deep breath, she continued, "When I told her of Ahuv's quest to avenge her mother and older sister, the princess freaked out. It's almost as if she had met the Inferno Paladin somewhere. If so, with Ahuv bent on revenge, there is no telling what could happen to Crystal. If he considers her a hindrance to his goal..." She paused in horror at how many Vatnitian soldiers Ahuv slew that were in his way simply because they lay on the routes he took to find the one murderer. And then, she remembered hearing of what became of the leader of the raid. "Oh, no..."

Tamar frantically looked up at Keanu after the thought. "We've got to get to the outskirts! If we can stop Ahuv and finally bring him to his senses, we may be able to save Crystal, as well! I know the Inferno Paladin's fighting style! I can disable him in melee, if necessary!"

Ahuv was indeed way ahead of Crystal, having gotten as far as the beach of Vatnis. It was odd, whereas Eldurians close enough to the shore would cool off by swimming, the shores of Vatnis were largely vacant, save for the occasional garrison meant to hold off an invasion. Of course, that was not to say nobody banished would not have come by. Needless to say, Ahuv was disappointed when he did not spot a living person in the immediate area. A shame. This search will take longer than expected.

As he was about to resume his quest, he found footprints. Interesting. These are not the footprints of a garrison. Maybe, just maybe... following them only led to more disappointment, as he came across a grave and dome. Curiously, the last name of this Jaydan was the same as that of the Vatnian royal family. I wonder... Did he suffer the same fate as Ruth, during a raid by my country's men? If so, I shall be sure to find the perpetrators. The murderer of Ruth and mother shall pay for this outrage, as well as the other. He is the cause of the war having been prolonged and worsened.

His thought process was interrupted by a feminine voice. He backed away from the tombstone while maintaining an unemotional face, betrayed by the expression of attraction and pity in his eyes. After backing away enough to appease the girl, he posed the query, "Is there something so sacred of this place that I am forbidden to come near it?"

Keanu was in the training room, practicing his swordsmanship, when Tamar came in looking rather distraughted. "My dear, what has seemed to be the problem?" He asked, which she quickly replied with "Master Keanu, darling? Have you noticed anything odd in how Crystal is behaving, lately?" He thought for a moment, it was hard for anyone to tell if Crystal was behaving odd, as she always is.

Though with the concern clear across Tamar's face, he knew she meant more unusual then normal. "Well, she did seem rather interested with the Eldurians than she normally is. But that might just be because of all the rumors and talk going around the castle." He shrugged, with a small smile.

The prince's smile, however, quickly disappeared when Tamar continued. "When I told her of Ahuv's quest to avenge her mother and older sister, the princess freaked out. It's almost as if she had met the Inferno Paladin somewhere. If so, with Ahuv bent on revenge, there is no telling what could happen to Crystal. If he considers her a hindrance to his goal..."

His face was serious now. "It'll take too much time to gather soldiers and to inform the family. Quick, do you know where she might have gone?" His voice was calm and steady, but he feared for what might happen to his little sister.

Tamar frantically answered "We've got to get to the outskirts! If we can stop Ahuv and finally bring him to his senses, we may be able to save Crystal, as well! I know the Inferno Paladin's fighting style! I can disable him in melee, if necessary!"

Luckily, since they were in the training room, they had a few weapons at their disposal. "Here take this." He handing Tamar a sheathed long sword. "It's a weapon we retrieved from Eldur that can harness the power of the flame." He told her, also giving her a weapons belt which consists of a short sword and dagger. He too buckled a weapons belt to his waist and a long sword. Though his long sword harnessed the power of ice.

Keanu and Tamar ran to the stables. He hopped up on his horse, Spirit. "Take Ramona." He said, pointing to the chestnut friesian horse. "She is Silvia's, but don't worry, Vee won't mind once we tell her what had happen." Once they were all settled, they took off towards the ocean. Both horses running at max speed.

Nearing the beach, Kai suddenly halted and reared up. Which caused Crystal to fall off of his back. "Kai! What the hell!" She yelled, standing up and dusting her clothes off. Once she got a hold of her horse's reins, she took some time to look around and see where she was. Her eyes widening as she realized she was near the ice dome.

She had tied Kai up by a tree, as he would not come any closer to the dome because of the heavy feeling of magic weighing around. Besides the usual melancholy surrounding she felt every time she came here, there was something else too, something that wasn't ever there before. She created her ice bow and arrows and cautiously made her way closer to the open dome area, ready to shoot if she needed to. She stopped dead in her tracks, seeing Ahuv standing next the Jaydan's headstone. Her heart dropped. She stood out in the open, frozen, just like she was when she first spotted Ahuv. Once she found her voice, she pointed an arrow at him and screamed "Get away from there!" Running over to stand in between him and the tombstone, "Get back!!" she yelled again, still aiming her arrow at Ahuv.

When he posed the question, "Is there something so sacred of this place that I am forbidden to come near it?" her eyes stung as she felt them watering. She lowered her bow and arrow, as the melted away in her hands.

"Yes..." She forced out, she was not going to cry in front of him. "I was nine...Me and my twin brother, Jaydan, were out playing in the woods. Somehow a group of five Eldurian soldiers were able to get close enough to the castle that they ambushed us without being noticed. All I could do was hide behind Jaydan as he tried to fight them off with his small dagger. But we were knocked out and tied up, being held captive for a ransom...I was the first one to regain consciousness and noticed right away that we were no longer in the woods. We were somewhere by the ocean, right here actually. When Jaydan came to, the five soldiers tortured him. I screamed at them telling them to stop, but each time I did, I got whipped. Jaydan got really angry and he tried to fight his way free, which only caused himself to be harmed even more. Somehow Jaydan was able to get free, which he took up a knife from one of the kidnappers and killed him. He ran over to me and was able to cut me free, though the other four soldiers surrounded us. One had stabbed him and dropped his limped body next to me. They were laughing it off, saying it was an "accident" and joking around..."

She paused, taking a deep breath and reached up to grab the stone hanging from her necklace. "I was so scared and so angry my ice-stone necklace broke...It unleashed this immense power that created a protective dome around Jaydan's barely breathing body and myself...As you can see, spikes formed all over it. The four soldiers probably thought it was regular ice, so they used their power to try and melt it. But by doing so, the spikes shot off the dome and scattered everywhere, hitting any moving thing around it that wasn't inside the dome. I felt extremely weak afterwards, but I forced myself to stay awake and checked on Jaydan...He was still breathing when they dropped him, but when I saw him, he was laying in a patch of blood red snow, not moving...I cried out his name pleading him to move, but he didn't.I cradled him in my arms and lap for a moment, before I passed out from exhaustion. That caused the ice dome to only melted half away..."

Taking another deep breath, Crystal looked Ahuv straight in the eyes, "The Eldurian soldiers who kidnapped us spoke about that being their revenge on Vatnis because of the raid two years prior. I doubt you ever knew that." She glanced up at the sky, it was getting a bit cloudy. When she looked back at Ahuv, she continued "That's why I told you before, 'if you dwell to much on the past, your mind set on vengeance, your heart will fall into a pit of darkness. You might never be able to crawl out'. Those men where so set on revenge because they too had loved ones who died in that raid, that they lost their lives."

She knelt down by the tombstone, blue sparks coming from her fingertips. "It was two years until I was able to bring myself back here. That's when I made this headstone...I come here every year on the day Jaydan died." Her back was to Ahuv as she created flowers out of ice and placed them down in front on the tombstone. When she stood up again, she didn't look back at Ahuv, instead she was staring down at the headstone. "Are you still going to go after that man? Even though he might not be alive anymore?" Now she turned around at looked at him again. "I told you that too, that man probably is already dead by now. But you still insist on coming back here and looking for him?"

Ahuv could see it in Crystal's facial expressions: the grave was something of great importance to her, so important that she was willing to kill to keep it from being desecrated. Thankfully, his query to her weakened her resolve enough that she would explain it to him. His eyes softened while listening to Crystal. As he did, he brought out a date, which he sliced in two as he had before prior to pulling out the seed. He was going to give half to her, yet when he heard that the five Eldurian soldiers did what they did out of revenge for the raid on the village where his mother and sister died, he dropped both halves of fruit in a display of shock. He wanted terribly to express his thoughts on how disgraceful it was of those five men, but his nerves would not let him.

He knew Crystal could see Ahuv's face express full emotion (for once) while he froze with his current emotion to be observed more clearly than would have typically been possible. Ahuv was in utter disbelief. He could not bring himself to accept the realization of how far people would go to satisfy their desire for revenge. What was worse, it could have been him doing something just as terrible, perhaps even worse! He held back his emotions so long, he could have exploded at any moment. Looking back at all the moments where his anger left him worrying everyone that ever cared about him, and those he ever cared about, Ahuv became horrified of all the times he could have lashed out.

Her questions to him left him momentarily speechless, but then, on his knees as he was still in shock, he said, "I...don't know. It is difficult to imagine a life beyond the sword, at this point. I have contained my anger for so long, used it so frequently against leaders of feuding clans back home as I killed them for refusing to adhere to royal orders to stop fighting each other, I could have gone on an uncontrolled rampage at any moment. Considering it has been roughly ten years since that day, I am honestly unsure if I can turn back, now."

Looking at his scimitar, he undid the belt which held its scabbard and held it in front of himself with one hand. Looking upon it caused him to display obvious sadness. "This scimitar, this desert sword, it is the same one Ruth, my deceased sister, wielded for as long as I could remember when she was alive. With it, she started a personal campaign to pacify the warring clans within the kingdom through a combination of military intervention and the construction of underground canals to provide water for them to prevent further needless deaths by the blade. When I became old enough, I followed in her footsteps, to honor her memory and desire to ensure there would no longer be a need for war for such things as water, which is the exact reason Eldur went to war with Vatnis to begin with, as far as I can tell. Tamar stood by my side as I did so, and I continued to even after she allowed herself to be captured in a battle with your father's personal army along the shores not far from here. My battles in Vatnis were merely a cover to keep my father from suspecting anything out of the ordinary. But now, I do not know where to go from here."

Suddenly, the sound of a blade unsheathed from its scabbard was heard, Ahuv instinctively standing between her and the assailant as he swiftly pulled out his sister's scimitar to block the attack. Both blades locked, he could clearly see who it was. "What the hell are you doing here, Saul!?"

Ahuv's younger brother had all manner of rage in his eyes and facial expression while retorting, "I was about to ask you the same thing, Ahuv! This Vatnian royal fiend had an arrow pointed at you! You could have easily slaughtered her like the monster she is, yet you held back! Why!?"

Hearing his own brother talk of Crystal that way left him enraged. "You want me to let loose!? Well, fine!" Immediately, Ahuv's eyes began to glow, his free fist punching him in the chest hard enough to kill a regular person, yet Saul absorbed the hit and slid until he crashed into a tree. This enraged Saul to the point where he leapt towards his older brother with roar from the top of his lungs while slashing his own sword downwards. Ahuv reacted by leaping upwards to block the attack before punching his opponent right in the chest. Saul landed with his back on the snow, breathless, while Ahuv landed on his feet. "Had enough!?", the Inferno Paladin shouted.

Once Saul was able to breathe and fight, he got up and engaged in a deadly sword fight in which strength, speed, stamina, and dexterity were all required so to best each other. Neither held back against the other. Saul held on for about two to three minutes, yet it was clear who the victor would be the moment he had first landed on the snow. The younger brother simply did not have the endurance, strength or skill to outlast Ahuv, whom had a load more experience in combat. The skirmish ended with Ahuv's hands at Saul's throat and wrist as Saul tried to stab him with a knife, the scimitar Ahuv wielded placed back in the scabbard. "It's over, Saul!"

Not willing to accept defeat, he uttered the words, "Kill me."

Ahuv was now calming down. "I don't need to, nor want to. You are my brother, and I have firmly deprived you of the ability to fight. If only you had trained with Tamar and I..."

"Not one word about that traitor!"

Ahuv squeezed Saul's neck a little to gag him. "A traitor, is she? Who was it that assisted me in quelling the warring clans? Who helped organize the construction of underground canals? Who stayed behind so the rest of the surviving troops could make it back safely home? None of that was you. All you did was play politics."

Ahuv would have said more, were it not for a fire whip ability making a cracking sound which threw him off balance for a moment. He let go of Saul before looking to see who it was, namely Tamar. She told Ahuv: "It ends here, Ahuv!"

Another voice was heard, one full of anger. "Indeed, it does end here. I have waited so long for this moment."
Upon seeing the burnt skin and what he wore, Ahuv immediately who it was. "I guess you found me. Now what?"

The blue-haired man pulled out his sword and Ahuv said angrily, "We fight to the death, of course!"

The look on Ahuv's face, full of disbelief and horror, was all she needed to see to know that he finally understood what she was talking about the last time they've met. Hearing him tell her that he didn't know what to do anymore, as he used his anger to kill feuding leaders, slightly frightened the girl. But she made sure not to show any signs of it, thinking that it would keep him from opening up to her. She knelt down in front of him, watching him hold out his sister's scimitar and scabbard in front for him. She listened to him talk, thinking of a way to help his confused heart and mind on what to do.

Crystal was about to say something, when Ahuv suddenly stood and pulled out his scimitar to block an assaulter's attack. Surprised, she fell back into the snow and watched the fight play out in front of her. The two boys were good, but Ahuv seemed stronger, the fight seemed to have ended in a blink of the eye. By the end of it, he was holding the other boy, Saul by the neck and wrists.

Ahuv had only let go of Saul when the crackling of a fire whip sounded. She looked to see who it was. Tamar, if she was here then that only meant Keanu was not far behind. Another voice came into play, but it was not her brother's. Instead, a blue-haired man emerged from the forest.

Ahuv pushed away from his brother as he rushed towards the blue-haired man. That gave Saul the opening he needed to attack Crystal. He ran at her, sword at the ready, and slashed it down before she could really do anything. All she was able to do was hold up her arms, trying to protect herself. And just as she thought she was going to get sliced, a clink of metal stopped the attacker's sword. When crystal looked, it was none other than her brother. "Keanu!" She said in a mixed feeling of joy, surprise, and terror. Keanu just glared at the boy. "I'll be your opponent." He growled, advancing on Saul and pushing him back, away from Crystal.

Everyone was fighting. Ahuv engaged with the blue-haired man. Tamar running over to fight both of them off. Keanu keeping Saul away from Crystal. The girl couldn't do anything. All of them were skilled fighters, not her. She had only recently been able to learn how to fight.

"Stop it" Crystal whispered, not being able to do anything but watch. She slid and fell to the snow covered ground. "Please, stop" She said again, but no one was listening. She reached up and clutched her hair and hid her ears with her arms. As if to try and block out the sound of metal clashing with metal. Why are they here? No one was supposed to be here. Everyone needs to get away from here! Why are they fighting is this place? No one was suppose to step foot in this area but her. Why did it have to be here? Everyone needs to leave this place right now! And then, she broke. "STOP IT!!!" She yelled, her eyes closed shut and the grip on her hair tightening.

Keanu was only able to take a quick glance at his little sister before it happened. The ice-stone, that belonged to his late brother Jayden, strongly shone a bright sky blue. The stone somehow connected to Crystal's powers and she always wore it around her neck. He and the rest of the family had known that whenever she used her powers, the stone would dimly shine, but it would never shine this bright. And that, Keanu knew, was a bad sign.

As if in seconds from when Crystal screamed and the stone shined, ice spiked formed from the ground and spiraled out from around her. They moved out across the ground, too fast for anyone to dodge, until they circled around everyone. The ice had caught all the weapons and stopped them in there place. The spikes reached up until everyone was entrapped in an almost complete cone-like prison. The ends of the ice shards ever-so-slightly moving closer to their necks.

Crystal's hands dropped to the ground, catching herself from falling forward. She stared at the snowy ground, before she started coughing. There was a sharp pain in her side, but she felt like if she moved, her ribs would break. Then a loud buzzing sound rang in her ears.

Keanu knew what this ice was. He has never seen it himself, but from what he was told, it was not good. He slowly turned his head to better face the others. "If you want to get out of this alive, I suggest you not move much or anger the ice." He told them, "By anger, I mean don't use your powers against it. Especially you two Eldurians. Your fire definitely makes it angry. Only she can melt this ice." Then he looked back at Crystal, as his own movements making the ice shards quicken just a bit. Honestly, he didn't care much that the others were trapped in this. He did, however, care that Tamar and himself were trapped as well. He also knew that, theoretically speaking, if this ice does kill any of them. Once Crystal came to her senses, she'd end up hating herself, even if one of them was an enemy.

In the distance, bells started ringing. The sound carried through the forest to the beach side, all the way from the castle. They only rang in time of battle, but Keanu knew that the two sides were currently at a standstill. No one advancing forward until the other side did. Vantis wasn't known for having inner conflict between other factions. So why were they ringing? That's when it hit him. They were ringing because of Crystal. The King had always known when his children used their powers. It was only Dimitri and Crystal who were able to harness the ability of Ice. On the other hand, Sylvia could barely be able to use her ability, only able to move water a bit. And Keanu had gotten the short hand of the power genetic pool. He wasn't able to use any form of the abilities his family had.

The bells rang like this once before, seven years ago. It was because Crystal used her most powerful ability, Glacial. All the available guards and soldiers the King could gather up in a short handful of time had gone out with him to search the whole kingdom for Crystal. Now it was happening again.

"Crystal..." The second prince said softly. He found out awhile back, that his sister had passed out within two minutes of using this ability. Though that was only an estimate, he really didn't know when she was going to faint this time. "Cryssi, you hear the bells right? That means everyone is looking for you. You got to let us go, okay?" The ice shards were already so close to their necks. He didn't want to say it, or even admit that she had somehow made friends with a Eldurian, let alone the Royal Family's First Prince, but if it was able to let them free... "If father, Dimitri, or any of the guards or soldiers find us; they'll surely kill or worse, torture the two Eldurians Royals. You wouldn't want that to happen to your friend would you?" He asked her in the most caring tone he could muster up.

Crystal didn't hear her brother. Her coughing had gotten worse to the point where specks of blood started coming out. She was just starting at the white ground tainted with red. Her heart beat quickened, as did her breathing; she then started to shake and tremble (basically she was having a panic attack). One slow blink and...she was gone.

When Crystal opened her eyes, the tombstone was gone. Her head whipped up and she glanced around. That's when she froze. She was back, back to the day that destroyed everything for her. She saw the bodies of four of the kidnappers. Each impaled with a large ice spike coming out from the dome she had created. Her hand flew to her mouth, she felt like throwing up. Her eyes traveled to each of the kidnappers until the landed upon the fifth one. He didn't have an ice spike in him. Instead, it was a small dagger, Jayden's dagger. "Jayden..." She whispered through her hand. "Jayden!!! Jayden where are you!!!" She yelled, looking frantically around for her twin brother. In the corner of her eyes, she saw slight movement. When she turned tom look, it was her brother laying in the snow covered in blood. "JAYDEN!!!" She got up and ran over to him, tears starting to roll down her cheeks, as she dropped to the ground. "Jayden wake up. Please wake up." She cradled his body in her arms. His eyes were closed and his breathing was extremely slow. "Don't leave me...We're twins, you can't just leave your other half all alone...Please don't go...You promised me we would always be together..." Just then Jayden ever so slightly opened his eyes, reaching his bloody hand up to Crystal's cheek. 'I'm sorry' He mouthed, before his hand dropped. He wasn't breathing anymore. All she could do was hold onto him tightly, as she screamed and cried.

While all this was happening to her, to the others Crystal just seemed to freeze. She had stopped coughing and shaking. The only thing moving, were the tears falling down her cheeks. She was just staring at the ground, almost like a statue.

"Cryssi are you..." One look at the poor girl, and he knew she was off, trapped in a far away memory. He cursed under his breath again. This was not good. Keanu didn't know how long it was going to be before Crystal passes out or even come back to reality. By that time that might happen, the guards could have already found them, or the spikes might get to them first.

Before the ice came about, it seemed as if despite Tamar intervening, Ahuv would actually kill the blue-hair man, whose name was Arnold Landvik. Of course, Tamar's best efforts kept the fighting going. Clearly, as the two men faced off, Ahuv had the advantage. All those years in banishment left Arnold with little opportunity to keep practicing with a sword. Just as Ahuv maneuvered had disarmed him and was about to deal the killing blow with Tamar about to try to stop him with the fire whip attack, Crystal's shout caused all attention to be on her. Saul only stopped when his sword was snatch from him by ice. "What!?"

Ahuv, Saul, and Tamar could not believe their eyes. Tamar herself had heard of the Glacial, but she never witnessed it. Ahuv and Saul heard Crystal mention it, and now they knew why the first dome had formed. Saul spoke first,"Serves me right for letting my rage dictate my actions. I... I'm sorry, big brother."

Ahuv did not move, but simply responded with, "None of this will matter if we don't get out of here alive."

"You're telling me!" The former General Landvik grimaced his teeth due to the spikes puncturing the left shoulder. "To think this all started with the raid!"

Ahuv moved his eyes in Landvik's direction. "Kind of late to be regretting it now, given our predicament, don't you think?" that was when Keanu advised not to use or use their powers. He slowly moved his head about the same time as Keanu to face Crystal. The Inferno Paladin could see the poor girl reaching the limits of her endurance. All anger and hatred for the former general vanished and was replaced with concern and fear for the Princess's life. As soon as he had the chance, after Keanu had his chance to try to get her out of her trance, Ahuv began to open his mouth. "Crystal?"

Saul rolled his eyes. "And I thought your Inferno was bad, Ahuv!"

Ahuv paid no attention to his brother. All he could think of was how much longer Crystal would last. Each time he said her name, his voice was louder. Three attempts to get her attention, and now he was frantically shouting to try to get her out of her trance. "Crystal! Wake up! You're bleeding! Crystal!!" He had finally gotten so desperate as to shout her name long and loud.

Hearing the first prince of Eldur desperately call out to his sister, shocked Keanu. The boy honestly seemed frightened for her. Just then, Crystal just barely shifted. If you blinked at that time, or weren't paying attention to her you might have missed it. But since Keanu didn't take his eyes off her, he oticed. Somehow this angered him, he didn't know why, but it did. Maybe it was the fact that Ahuv's voice might have reached her just a little bit, and not his. However, it did seem like it was getting somewhere. So then he also started shouting Crystal's name out. This better work damn it, he thought.

"...C...al...stal...r..stal..." There was a voice in the distance. The princess had stopped screaming and was only sobbing now. She couldn't make out what was being said, so she ignored it. Looking back down at Jayden, she gently ran her fingers through his hair. "It's okay now. No one's ever going to hurt you anymore..." She whispered. Just then a second voice came in. Who did these voices belong to?

'Hey you gotta wake up now, okay? There are people waiting for you.' A small figure appeared in front of her. When she looked, it have no face. But it was able to speak to her, sounding like a little boy. 'Crystal, you gotta snap out of it.' She shook her head. She couldn't leave, she didn't want to let Jayden go, not again. 'It's alright. You can let go. I know you'll get back on your feet again.' She somehow could tell the figure was smiling, even without a face. "But..But because of me Jayden...Jayden..." She sniffed, trying not to start crying again. 'It wasn't your fault. Some things happen for a reason. This just happened to be one of them. Fate can be really mean like that.' The figure let out a small chuckle, though it sounded sad. 'I'm sorry I couldn't protect you better. I'm glad you made it out alive though. Just know I am always in your heart and watching over you. I love you Cryssi.' Before she realized it, the figure was gone. "Jayden...I love you too." Her eyes started tearing up again.

That's when a loud voice broke through, it yelled her name over and over again. Where was is coming from? Whose voice was it? Trying harder to hear it, she noticed it was a male's voice. Much older then the voice coming from the figure. Glancing around trying to find where, she saw a light. Looking harder, she realized it was a flame of sorts. Each time her name was called, the flame would glow slightly brighter. "..Ah-Ahuv...?"

Slowly blinking, Crystal saw her twin brother's tombstone in front of her. She was back? She moved her head to look up and only briefly noticed everyone trapped in an ice cone prison. "What..?" Her voice was hoarse, but before she could say more, her violent coughing returned. Her head started pounding as she got extremely dizzy. Her vision was also getting spotty, before everything went black. She fell forward, landing on her side in a fetal-like position.

Keanu let out a sigh of relief when Crystal passed out. He felt bad for doing so, but at least they were out of danger from her ice now. The ice was just barely poking into their necks, when is started to melt. It still took a minute or two before the ice was low enough for anyone to move. As soon as he could, he leaped over the half melted ice and ran over to his sister. Dropping his sword, Keanu knelt down, gently cradling her in his arms. She was even more so pale than usual and her breathing was heavy. "Shit...She's running a high fever." He didn't have to feel her skin to know that. He could fell the heat from her body coming through her clothes. Despite being unconscious, Crystal was still coughing, as blood continued to trickle down her mouth.

Keanu's head whipped up, as he looked to Tamar. "Tamar arrest that Vatnian man, then gather the horses! We need to get her back to the castle quickly!" She was only standing there for a second before he shouted. "Move it now!" He hadn't meant to snap at her, but he couldn't help it. He was terrified for his dear sister's life.

Ahuv sprinted at about the same time as Keanu towards Crystal. The Vatnitian prince beat him to cradling her. Knowing immediately what the condition was, the Inferno Paladin got to work on a cure from the herbs and equipment in his pack. Meanwhile, Tamar, after a bit of shock from being snapped at, wasted no time in picking up her weapons and sprinting up to Arnold Landvik. "You heard him!" Using her fire whip attack to pacify him, she got behind the man to apply handcuffs. "You're under arrest, ex-General Landvik!" While she shoved the former general along towards to horses, Ahuv grinded some herbs into a powder and gather snow to place in a metal pot before lighting a match and using his fire abilities to quickly melt the snow into hot water that he poured onto the powder before stirring until the powder turned into a solution that was evenly distributed in the water.

The Crown Prince of Eldur then soaked part of the solution with a cloth, making it damp prior to wiping it on Crystal's face, neck and forehead, which lessoned the fever to where Crystal was stabilized. Knowing there was not much time before the guards came, the Inferno Paladin poured the rest of the solution into a jar that he closed before giving it to Keanu. "Here. Have her drink this when she wakes up. It will aid in the recovery process. If anybody asks, you intimidated an Eldurian intruder into making this for you."

In the distance, the sound of troops' feet could be heard, along with shouting. Ahuv brought out his box of matches. "We got company! Let's get out of here, Saul!"

"Couldn't agree more!"

Lighting another match, Ahuv used the fire that sparked from it to conceal both himself in a stealth flame while Saul summoned lightning to conceal himself at the same time. together, they acrobatically made their way to the river, where they stopped using their powers for the sake of swimming. they had just barely made it to the other side of Heaven's Wall when Vatnitian troops made it to the river to investigate.

Meanwhile, the guards that were making their way to where Keanu and Crystal were manage to catch sight of fire and lightning for a brief moment and ran faster, hoping they were not too late. They made it right when Tamar arrived with the horses and the former General in custody. Immediately, there were questions from the men.

"Wh-what happened!?"
"We just saw fire and lightning, just now!"
"What's... that liquid for?"

Tamar used the fire longsword to shoot a flare in the air. "There isn't much time! We need to get the Princess back to the castle! Move it!" She helped Keanu and Crystal onto one horse while she herself got on the one with Landvik on it before she led the way back to the Vatnitian Castle.

One of the guards murmured as they made their way back, "It's a wonder Prince Keanu hasn't made that Eldurian his wife or concubine, by now... They practically flirt with each other..."

In Eldur...

The Takeda brothers made quick time back to the castles with their fire and lightning abilities to enhance their sprinting. Between them, they were the fastest power-sprinters in all of Eldur. Ahuv turned towards his brother when they were at the gate. "If anybody asks, we were competing to see who could be faster."

"Believe me, admitting to what happened is the last thing on my mind!"

Just then, the gate opened, with a female indentured servant, part Vatnitian and part Eldurian, greeting them with a sweet smile and a bow of her head. "Welcome home, your highnesses!" Raising her head to see them, she added, "Shall I get you anything? You two seem to have had a rough day!" (Her appearance is shown below)

Saul did not know whether to find the girl attractive or feel some other emotion. It was not that he did not find her pretty, he just had a hard time accepting her Vatnitian half of her blood. Ahuv almost smiled. "What's the matter?"

"Well, uh..."

"Hey! Cut her some slack! She has volunteered her services to this castle since she was six!" Ahuv's eyes had all matter of mischievousness when speaking to Saul before he told the girl, "Well, Bernadette, we did have quite the race, with the occasional slip and tumble on my brother's part, so perhaps an ice tub prepared would help soothe Saul's injuries." He feigned a sudden recollection. "Oh! And, be sure to help him up when he's finished!"

"Of, course!" Bernadette curtsied before twirling around to face the other direction and prepare the ice tub with her limited ice powers from before she was stranded in Eldur due to a sea battle when she was a child.

Saul was shocked. "Uh... big brother? Why the sudden mischief?"

Ahuv finally let out a mischievous grin. "Two reasons. One, you did receive quite a beating back there. And, two: You were a bit unreasonable when it came to you-know-who."

Within seconds of Ahuv stopping before Crystal and digging things out of his bag, Keanu grabbed his sword that was on the ground by his side, and pointed it at the Eldurian Prince’s neck. “Get away from her!” He growled, but the enemy continued on, starting to grind what Keanu now noticed were herds. Lowering his sword, he carefully watched Ahuv prepare some form of medicine. Ahuv dipped a cloth into the liquid, then proceeded to wipe it on Crystal’s face, neck, and forehead. Moments later, Crystal stopped coughing, and her fever started to go down a bit.

"Here. Have her drink this when she wakes up. It will aid in the recovery process. If anybody asks, you intimidated an Eldurian intruder into making this for you." Ahuv instructed, handing the jar over.

“If she wakes up…” Keanu muttered, taking the strange liquid medicine from him. Though he knew if he tells The King that an Eldurian intruder made the medicine, His Majesty would question why Keanu didn’t detain the enemy and being him with them.

Hearing guards in the distance, Ahuv got up and took out a box of matches. “We got company! Let's get out of here, Saul!" He ran over to his brother, as Saul replied, "Couldn't agree more!" Ahuv light the match, getting ready to leave.

“If you ever go near my little sister again, I’ll kill you.” He warned, just before the two Eldurian Princes clocked themselves in fire and lightning and disappeared. Keanu finally stood up, carrying Crystal in his arms, with the jar clutched in his hand the supported under her knees.

The guards and Tamar arrived almost right at the same time. The guards came up to Keanu, bombarding him with questions. "Wh-what happened!?" "We saw fire and lightning just now!" "What's... that liquid for?"

“It’s medicine, now quiet!” He barked, as he went straight towards his horse. Tamar shot a flare up into the sky, a signal to tell the others they have Crystal and are heading back to the castle now. She then helped Keanu get up on his horse with Crystal.

Once everyone was situated and ready to go, the group began traveling back to the castle. Tamar was in front leading the group, while Keanu and Crystal were positioned in the middle, and the guards flanked the sides and back. One of the back guards also took hold of the reins of Crystal’s horse. Another guard in the back, murmured "It's a wonder Prince Keanu hasn't made that Eldurian his wife or concubine, by now... They practically flirt with each other..." Which awarded him a not-so-amused glare from Keanu. ”You know that can’t happen. It’s against the law here.” The guard next to him whispered.

The rest of the ride back was a quiet one. It took them a good two to three hours to get back, as Keanu didn’t want to rush so much that it would injury Crystal further. But they were still going at a fast pace because Crystal needed to see a healer as soon as possible.

Upon reaching the castle, everyone dismounted their horses in the courtyard. Keanu passed Crystal on to one of the guards. “Take Princess Crystal to the healers. Have them analyze the liquid that’s in this jar to make sure it’s safe. If it is, then tell the healers to have the Princess drink it when she wakes up.” He ordered, also giving the jar of medicine to him. He turned to look at Tamar, giving her a job as well. “Tamar, take another guard and bring the ex-General to the cellars until further instructions on what to do with him.” He moved towards the remaining four guards, and told them “Return the horses back to the stables.” Straightening his back up, he face the full group. “By order of the Second Prince, all you know is that you found us with Princess Crystal already unconscious, you did not see or hear anything else. Say something otherwise and you will be punished.” He waved his right hand, “Alright, disperse.”

Walking up the stairs to the main entrance of the castle, Keanu sighed as he rubbed his left temple “Oh Gods, what I am I going to tell Father…”

The King banged the bottom of his scepter on the floor. "Silence!" His voice roared throughout the council room. Once the chattering of guards, councilmen, and spectators died down; King Mortimer continued, "We will now begin the trial of Former General Arnold Landvik. 10 years ago, this man led an army of 50 soldiers, under the false order of your King, to Eldur. There, he and his men invaded a village near the Haevan Wall, leaving little to no survivors. During this raid; The Queen, Crown Princess, and First Prince of the Eldur Royal Takeda Family just so happened to be present at the time, in which The Queen and Crown Princess were slaughtered. This caused the signing of the treaty between Vantis and Eldur to be denied, and we fell even deeper into conflict with the opposing kingdom. As punishment, Arnold Landvik and the remainder of his 50 men (about 15 of them survived) were to be stripped of their powers and banished to the outer regions of Vantis, separated from each other, to live out the rest of their days alone.” Murmurs began again to fill the room, King Mortimer brought down his scepter once again to silence them. “Until yesterday that is; when my daughter, Princess Crystal went out for a ride with my son, Prince Keanu and his attendant Tamar.” The King momentarily paused to glance over at Keanu, who was standing to the side on the steps of the Dais.

The boy slightly shifted on his feet, not daring to look anywhere but straight ahead at Arnold Landvik. He could also sense his older siblings looking at him too. Dimitri and Sylvia were standing adjacent to Keanu on the Dais, Sylvia a few steps lower then Dimitri. He noticed others were looking at him to. Please stop looking at me…. Keanu did what he had to do, in order to not gain any serious problems for himself and Crystal. And if that was to lie about what really happened, then….

The King cleared his throat, in order to gain the room’s attention back to him. “The three of them left on a short journey to visit my late son, Prince Jayden’s place of death. There, they encountered Arnold Landvik, who was said to be banished a few miles south west from the site. Arnold Landvik engaged with them by taunting Princess Crystal about the death of Prince Jayden, which a fight broke out between Prince Keanu, Tamar, and Arnold Landvik. Princess Crystal was injured in the process by Arnold Landvik and that’s when her power, Glacial erupted. But, just like before, she quickly fell unconscious due to the energy draining of her power. Arnold Landvik was swiftly apprehended by Tamar and was already in custody when the guards showed up.” King Mortimer looked to the table of councilmen. “Councilmen of the court, you are here to discuss what should be done of Arnold Landvik. Should he live in confinement in the dungeons for the rest of his days? Or should he be executed?”

Whispers among the councilmen began, discussing on what to do. The head of the councilmen (besides the King) stood. “We have made our decision, Your Majesty. Former General Arnold Landvik shall be executed within the week. He was already giving the chance to start anew when he was banished, and now, if he were to be kept in the dungeons it would

The King nodded. “It has been decided then.” He pounded his scepter on the floor once. “Former General Arnold Landvik, you are hereby guilty of attempted assassination of the Second Princess of Vantis, Crystal Feya Zamrażać and the Sceond Prince of Vantis, Keanu Thierry Zamrażać. As punishment, you are to be sentence to death.” The scepter struck the floor twice more, and the guards took Arnold away, back to the cellar until his execution.

Crystal groaned as she slowly slipped out of sleep, opening up her eyes she noticed the room was dark except for the moonlight coming through the window. Where am I? She was still half asleep, but realized she was back in her own room. Although, as soon as she was more awake, her whole body started aching. Her head pounding, her arms and legs stung immensely, and her ribcage felt like someone had kicked her hard. She carefully sat herself up in the bed when she noticed bandaged wrapped all up her arms, then proceeded to flinging the blankets off of her. Her legs were also bandaged all the way up to her knees. “What…What happened?” She quietly whispered, trying to remember what had caused her to be in this situation. That’s when it hit her.

She was at Jayden’s grave, in the forest near the beach. She met up with Ahuv to try and stop him from killing the blue-haired man. Then his brother showed up and they got into a fight. After that, the man, Tamar, and Keanu appeared. They all started fighting each other. That’s when…What happened after? Crystal couldn’t remember. Everything just was blank. Before she knew it, everyone was trapped in this weird ice-prison thing. There was, these pointed shards reaching for their necks, and then…she passed out. What happened to everyone? Her eyes widened. “Keanu…” Her voice was a bit scratchy, her tone worried.

The Princess jumped out of the bed, ignoring that pain the shocked through her body. She needed to know if Keanu was okay. She rushed to her door and flung it opened, crashing into a slightly taller and more muscular body. Crystal fell back, having a bucket of water dump on her.

“Princess Crystal!” A very familiar voice sounded. When she looked up, it was Haydn. He help her back up on her feet. “You’re awake! You’re finally awake! Forgive me for this but,” he gently hugged her. “I need to tell the others!” He turned around, about to make a dash for the exit, when Crystal grabbed his arm and stopped him.

“Wait! Where’s Keanu? Is he alright? What about Tamar?” She questioned him, complete fear and worry showed clear across her face. “And what do you mean ‘finally awake?’ Haven’t I only been asleep for the day?” She added, a bit confused. She let go of his arm as he turned to face her again.

“Prince Keanu is perfectly fine. He’s the one that brought you back to the castle with Tamar and some other guards.” Haydn reassured her. “Besides I think you should be more worried about yourself. Aren’t you in pain standing up?” He asked, noticing that any movement she made, she winced. “You should go back to bed. I’ll get one of the healers for you and let everyone know you’re awake.” He helped her back over to her bed, once she was laying back down, he sighed. “Princess Crystal, you have been unconscious for a week and your body is very weak right now. Please don’t push yourself.” With that, he turned away and left her room, running down the halls. He told the first maid he saw to go fetch a healer and bring them to Crystal’s room. Then he ran to Keanu’s room, to let him know to tell the rest of the Royal Family that she was awake.

Crystal just stared after him, and still stared when he was gone and the door had shut. “I’m been unconscious for a week…? But how? What the hell happened in the forest?” She asked herself, looking down at her bandaged hands.

Arcs are bundles of posts from any location, allowing you to easily capture sub-plots which might be spread out across multiple locations.

Add Quest » Quests

You can create Quests with various rewards, encouraging your players to engage with specific plot lines.

Add Setting » 1 Settings for your players to play in

Settings are the backdrop for the characters in your universe, giving meaning and context to their existence. By creating a number of well-written locations, you can organize your universe into areas and regions.

Navigation

While not required, locations can be organized onto a map. More information soon!

Add Group » 0 Factions to align with

There are no groups in this roleplay!

Collectibles

By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.

Mobs

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!

Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

Current Mobs

No mobs have been created yet.

Spawns

Events

You can schedule events for your players to create notifications and schedule times for everyone to plan around.

Permissions
