Earth

"Life is finally falling into pieces"

0 · 1,331 views · located in Kingdom of Alras

a character in “Fire, Death, Pinetrees”, as played by Armin

Description

Full name: Earth Z. Drah
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Physical description: Human, around 185 cm tall, 200 cm counting his ponytail
Weaponry, abilities, armor: Two katanas, their sheaths held by the cloth strapped around his waist. There is great giant sword suspended on his back but he rarely ever grips it. It remains on his back and with a feline or ninja like low center of gravity fighting style, he uses it effectively as it extends far past his head, both capable of shielding his own neck and severing the enemy’s. It is also great for charging monsters literally head on. The large hilt of the sword balances the far extending blade, and the whole thing weighs a lot less than it may seem, being somewhat magical. It still is rather heavy but Earths legs are strong as the ground under his feet crackles and his toes are halfburied under earth crusts when he lifts a boulder, with a straight back using the power of his legs, as one should when doing heavy lifting.
Earths right iris is ice blue or golden orange depending on his mood, his left eye is pitch-black and can see 3 seconds into the feature. However, whenever his left eyelids are open he cries a constant stream of blood, and for every second that passes his lifespan is shortened by 30 seconds. In exchange for glimpsing 3 seconds into the future, he loses 30 seconds of it.
He is decked out in alot of golden crosses.
He does have a face I just didn't draw it.

-//[SPOILERS] Personality and history//-

THE EARTH COMPLEX
Earth finds pleasure in pain and struggle, and amusement watching that of others.
Tragically though, Earth cannot allow himslef to pleasure from self-invoked injuries to the point where any injury he receives that he did not try his fullest to avoid, is impossible for him to enjoy, quite the opposite infact, such pain causes him great anxiety.
This makes Earth seek out grand opponents who can injure him without his consent, allowing him to feel pleasure in pain.
So while Earth, like many others, constantly seeks to get stronger and faster etc. seeking power is not his motive, it’s just a criteria that needs to be filled in order for him to enjoy himself.
Earth recklessly throws himself into battle, but he is terrified of death. Most of the time the ecstasy of pain and strain on his body easily dominates this fear, but sometimes when he feels the pressure of a certain death, the fear overpowers the rest of his emotions and his mind becomes focused on escape.
Earth is still human though. While sitting back watching people struggle does amuse him, he fears the death close one as he fears his own, if not more. And he feels pleasure in pleasure like any other human does.

Earths mind and urges force onto the reckless path of the warrior, but at the same time is terrified of dying. He constantly balances at the brink of death and does his best to bring most people around him there with him for his own amusement.

History
Image
Earth: 6 years old.
Most children find enjoyment in fun and play, Earth finds enjoyment in pain, but he cannot find it in him to hurt himself. Others must hurt him, that is Earths instinctive thought at this young age, and that is what drives him.

Autumn. Autumn far gone, leaves are no longer burning bright in red and orange among the treetops, they are spilled dead and colorless on the ground, a layer of greasy girt, pale, brown and unappealing.
The trees of this forest are rising tall and naked and sprawling towards the heavens: grey melancholy clouds.
Upon this floor of deceased vegetation step the 6 years old feet of Earth. He is wearing floaty - supposed to be white – grey pants, littered in dirt. His hair is blonde long and wild, there is a lack of bangs, most his frontal hair is conjoint with the rest of it in one messy - supposed to be golden – brownyellow drape.
A few strings of hair are not part of the main mass and q43 hanging loosely down his “supposed to be cute” empty face. An empty face with a small child’s nose and mouth and big eyes, cold iceblue.

Earth scurries the forest. Occasionally he spots and picks up sticks from the forest floor and weighs them in his hands, feels them in his grip. Measuring their strength. It does not take him long to find two good ones, one for each hand.

Earth was preparing for battle – the preparations are now finished.

What is he battling? A street gang of four boys 12-15 years old whom he has been following the past nine days whilst scouring the streets. Why them? They feel right. He fears them just right for taking them on.

To battle

Earth is sneaking on rooftops. His steps are not subtle; his bare feet are numb from the cold. So are his fingers which are holding sticks. The wood is a lot colder than his hands and holding them hurts.
His little mouth smiles, cheerfully, creepingly unfit for the situation.
He jumps cross a little gap to the next rooftop. Almost there now. The group of four is standing on the grey road by a house a few ten meters ahead, they are much taller than earth, all of them, the biggest one is probably four times his weight. They are just the right size.
Earth jumps another rooftop. It’s difficult, the numbness of his little feet reduces his accuracy greatly, and the sticks he’s hold, one in each hand, make landing a bitch, no hands to hit the ground with and stabilize when the numb feet misstep. But he makes it over.
There are no others in the vicinity, just earth and the four youngsters.
Earth charges.
Feet dash over the wooden rooftop and into the air, arms prepare to strike, two sticks are raised and ready. He is shouting, its a child’s voice, high-pitched as should be but somehow its rough: it is a warcry. Earth crashes down upon the largest of the four, he strikes both sticks down onto his fat head.
It is the perfect start. The velocity of swing and gravity, and the perfectly landed strike to the head is enough to instantaneously knock out the startled boy. The largest threat eliminated straight away, probably for the best.
Earth finds footing on the stricken boys head and falls with him, facefooting him to the ground, a great breakfall, but Earth is still thrown hard onto the dirt, sent tumbling a short distance, scraping his knuckles, right knee and right shoulder.

Blood. There is blood now, blood on his hands and blood on his body. The three boys that are left are startled, chocked, and paralyzed for moments. Earth is shaking, from the cold and from fear. And he’s smiling. His body is cold, but the blood is warm, the wounds are burning, it’s so warm that he can help but smile.

The moments pass and the three remaining boys shocked empty eyes are ignited into fires. They rush Earth, all three all at once, Earth responds, rasing his sticks. He hits the first one in the shin, sending him face first into the ground, then he sidesteps the 2nd one trying to kick him, striking back at the foot causing the foots boy to scream.
But Earth cannot avoid the third one who throws himself over him, big hands are suddenly grabbing his little arms. It’s over now, Earth is pinned down under much a larger, much stronger body, this grip cannot be escaped.
But it’s okay, this was his wish all along.

What happened next was the brutal beating of a 6 year old child whose bloody face wouldn’t seize smiling. The smile was most likely the reason for his survival as it dishearted and crept out his assultants causing them to end the beating early: he was bruised, bloody and beaten, but not broken. Earths beaten body surged with pleasant warmth, left on in the dirt on a cold autumn day.

The men who had been following Earth for some time saw this event as the deciding factor. It was certain, this boy would be the one to cleanse evil.
As discussed in whispers.

“Again?”
“Again.”
“He put his life on the line to battle evil. Again. At such an age.”
“Yes, he did.”
“Is he it?”
“It’s in his spirit, his nature. The instinct to battle evil, the resolve.”
“It is him?”
“Indeed.”
“Shall we take him?”
“Yes.”
“Finally we found it.”

The men were leading members of a small but powerful group of religious extremists pledged to a path violence, they believed Earth to be Messiah. They took him that day and with violent methods(that were meant to discipline Earth, but that he instead very much enjoyed) they tried to shape him into what they believed wound be the one to defeat evil.

1: Earth

1“The brink of death my favorite place in life.”
2“Do you not fear death?”
1“I do.”
2“Then how could you have desires like that?”
1“It doesn’t matter”
2“Say what?”
1“The fear is like an insecure nerd trying to change the course of a group conversation. It’s ran over, barely even noticed in the face of the flow governed by stronger ones.”
2“Oh. Im surprised you aren’t dead yet.”
1"Sometimes the nerd is heard. When a test is coming up the nerd is put in the center of attention.
2“What are you talking about?”
1 “When the purpose of the conversation is no longer amusement but practicality, or survival, the knowledge of the nerd makes it more important than anyone.”
2. “…?...”
1“Sometimes I feel like I might die, sometimes I feel that I will die. The 2nd one is terrifying.

So begins...

Xin Zhao raised a brow and smiled at the shape shifter's response. She was smart and she challenge what his people had deducted from the very nature of shape shifters. He would continue.

"That is wear water redeems itself...It is holds no loyalty to a form because it's purpose, to give life to all things, demands it does not. Shapeshifters are not true to a form, they can be whatever they please and so can take on multiple purposes. They simply refuse to take on a purpose.".

Xin pointed at her wolf ears. "You have spent much time as a wolf I see... Yet here you are as a human and before you were this moose, a creature who is meant to provide nourishment for other creatures, while wolves ensure that such animals do not exceed their lands' carrying capacity.".

Xin paced about his hand on his chin as he recalled something a close friend of his argued. " A friend of mine once argued that perhaps Shapeshifters are blessed with the ability to choose their own purposes...that they are the true free spirits mankind wishes to mimic.".

A moment of silence fell on Xin as he recalled his friend and what fate befell her. One could see but a momentary hint of sadness in his eyes before it was dispelled and replaced with a gleam of false joy. "My name is Xin Zhao. I am a foreigner to these lands as you can see and hear.".

"Water..." Earth thinks while being set on fire.

The little dragon was burning his wounds shut. His muscles tensed on reflex and he felt a searing pain and at the same time a queer pleasure, like someone was scratching a really itchy rash on his chest, where the fire burned.
The fumes of his own charred flesh: The smoke, the fire, it reminded of the village, and Earths mind abruptly decided to flash that burning scenery through his mind for just a split second, reanimating a shadow of the terror that he had felt then. It was gone almost instantly, but left in its wake a clotting thick lump of emotions, taking tens of seconds to dissolve.
He was brought back to the real world. Oh right, he was on fire. Searing pain stinging and scratching again. The dragon was momentarily finished, the wound completely shut. Its surface was raspy against his fingers as he stroke it with his right hand. It would probably crack open if he moved too rashly.

"Where was I... ... water? They were speaking of it. Right water, Im thirsty."
He sat up into a casual position with loose arms and legs, and a relaxed face.

"We need food and water." He said, reminding of the obvious.
"I’m wounded, there is a pond, but there is no moose." The ice blue eye swept through the array of characters, assessing. It landed on the foreigner.
"Xin, you have a spear. You should hunt for me."

"Xin, you have a spear. You should hunt for me."
He said with certain obviousness, as though he had reached an undeniable logical conclusion.
"I am not a hunter, I will not hunt."

"But you have a spear."

"This spear is not meant for hunting. It is meant to be used for my own defense and the defense of my people.".

"Agreed. That is why you should hunt for your current people. Me."

"You are not my people.".

"... ..."

"Even if you were of my people, I could not hunt for you. For I am not a hunter."

"... ... You are making no sense. A spear is sharp and can be lobbed at animals."

"Yes it is. Yet this is the job of hunters. I am not a hunter. If I were , I would not be here in these foreign lands.".

(the peaceful mind of Earth)"Hm, strange. He isn't making any sense... One of us must be an idiot. Probobly him."

"Jeremy, you should go hunting."

Xin having avoided being placed on huntsmen duty, now separated himself from the group by a few paces. "Excuse me while I go train.".He said casually to the entirity of those present.

Xin weilded his spear in his right and then bowed to an imaginary person who was not there. He then gripped his spear with both hands and stood there ready to combat this imaginary foe. He stood there for some time doing ,to what a mere spectator , seemed like nothing but infact he was retreating from the world around him. To Xin, the shapeshifter and the necromancer, the girl from the village and her pet dragon, and the weird man with a large sword and even the stranger who approached even now went unnoticed (though he could hear their voices clear as day.). By placing himself in state of mind there was no one but him...him and his imaginary opponent. It was then that when his opponent ceased to be seem imaginary that Xin Zhao commenced.

He took a step forward and thus commenced a battle, a deadly dance. With every strike and every parry, every dodge and flourish, Xin placed all the energy that he would in a real fight. He was truly in his own world and once he dispelled the one enemy he faced, he stopped for an instant to summon more. They out numbered him, the foes he had conjured with his mind. A lesser man in such a situation would surrender or beg for mercy but not Xin Zhao.

He looked around to those who stood in front of him and then over his shoulders to those who stood behind him (the only indication to those spectating him that he was fighting more than one imaginary opponent) and courageously declared.

"I may be outnumbered..."
He took a step forward with his right and then lifted his left knee high above his waist, everything beneath the knee was tucked back and pointed towards the ground, and in one swift motion he spun the blunt side of his spear to the front and pointed it at his opponents.

"...I doubt even the odds could stand against me!". With that he brought the spear back to his original position and spun it once with his left hand, then around his back and over his shoulder. He brought his left leg down into the firm ground as he did this and the battle commenced. He struck to the left and then quickly swung it to his right to perhaps knock wack an overly eager foe who thought it he could get away with charging blindly at him. He jumped and kicked to the back, using his spear to further propel himself and give his kick more power. Still they came and still he fought on. Any spectator could be laughing at him as he continue his made up fight, perhaps giggling or admiring his discipline. Not once did his form falter, not once did he show a lack of technique, and if you looked into his eyes you could see that not only did it really seem like there were multiple enemies around him trying to end his life, but despite the odds he did not lose his cool. The fight continued for but a few more instances to those around him but to him it seemed longer. Regardless it came to an end. Xin fell into the same meditative pose he held earlier, his hand still holding his spear while the other grabbed the canteen and removed the cap so he could drink. He then buried his spear into the clay bank of the pond and walked before the pine trees.

He eyed each one, examining them, measuring the strength of their bark (if such a thing were possible with the naked eye). Once he found that was suitable he backed off a few paces, bowed to it, and begun to assault it with his fists, elbows, and legs. This continued on till he was winded. He then drank more water and returned to clay bank where he commenced doing push ups on his knuckles. Each time he went up he pushed himself off the ground and each time he clapped his hands together.

In his strange foreign tongue he counted every successful push up he did and did not cease this till he could not do a single more. Xin then rolled over and did sit ups and this too went on till he could not do another. Once complete Xin drank once again from his canteen and looked to the stranger who he just now noticed not too far from them.

"And who are you, stranger?". Xin asked, his muscles aching and the sweat dripping from his face down and into the clay and his clothes.

Earth looked on as Xin waved and kicked and trusted into thin air.
"Is he a dancer?"
"That would explain why he won’t hunt. He is, pretty good.
But he said he was a warrior... a warrior dance? Its pretty."

It was pretty since it was calmly ferocious.
A decisive thrust.
The dance ended.
Upon ending his honorable battle against air Xin continued assaulting mother nature, attacking a tree.

Jeremy simply ignored everyone for a while, he didn't need to pay any attention at the moment. While there were arguments over who would be hunting, Jeremy crouched down, his body strength had been restored by the replenishment of his life energy and there is no risk of loosing limbs, yet. He was sitting, cross legged, playing around with Charlotte, trying to stop her from being bored. She ran around Jeremy, he would swing his arms out and deliberately missed to bring more laughter out of the child. Finally, when boredom started to run through Charlotte's body, Jeremy grabbed onto her and pulled her to his lap. That was then he begun tickling her, she laughed and laughed pushing away Jeremy's hands and trying to tickle him. He faked his laughter, he had to as he could not feel anything.
That was when Charlotte's undead mother crouched down, smiling and holding her hand to her mouth to show laughter. Charlotte noticed and ran to her mother, even though the walking corpse could not speak, she was still Charlotte's mother. They both started playing around, Jeremy took advantage of this and answered the others.

"Why do I have to hunt? I have no need to eat." He raised his voice a little to allow the others to hear him over the laughter of Charlotte. That was when he remembered, the little girl is alive, she needs to eat. "Well, maybe Charlotte does. But that isn't the point. If eastern guy can get away with it because his spear is for 'defense'. Then I cannot hunt because I'm more of a soldier. Hunting needs stealth, not running around with several zombies killing everyone."

Ammy let the sun stroke her, allowing herself a moment of peace as her ears swiveled to catch voices. Xin had given her something to think about. Did she have a purpose? Of course. Whatever task she put herself to was her purpose. SHE chose her own purpose, right? Just like her body chose what form was best to handle the situation. Her purpose was to survive, at least for now.

The world in which she wandered was wondrous and strange. Like the Darkness, which smelled of rot and death, appearing like a wall against the heavens; at night it would swallow up the moon and during the day, the sun would no longer shine as long as it had. Seasons, the trees, the life would be forced to adapt. Through all of her travels the only thing Ammy had become certain of was everything would change. Rain filled the ocean, storms shook the pines; everything belonged together, in a grand design. Though it was easier to believe everyone was masters of their own design, that fighting and surviving were the only things that mattered; Ammy realized that the land belonged to her as much as the sky belonged to the eagle. She was sister to everything around her, seen and unseen. She’d run from the East and away from the West to figure out who and what she really was. Yet in all her years running she’d never been closer than right now. It was filling her soul, making her skin prickle with energy as she stared blankly into the water. Almost—so close.

CRACK!

Ammy whirled, her ears flinching flat against her skull as she let out a ferocious snarl, her pupils like slits as the hair on the back of her neck bristled. Xin was beating against a tree with his spear, another swing brought her back to her senses as the air around her became thin again. The sizzling energy that made her skin crawl dispersed as quickly as it had come.

“Damn it,” she growled and moved away from the offence to her nose that was his sweat. She moved up-wind, laying her body back against a tree as she flickered her ears in the direction of the Shadow. Rest, Ammy thought as she gently rested her hands on her knees and then her chin atop all that. She had her eyes closed, but the world did not disappear from view. She could still hear Earth’s breathing and pin point the exact location of someone lurking in the trees. Ammy had smelled him from a mile away, this Shadow-hunter. So it was no surprise when he decided to finally admit his presence, only after being called out by the Biased Warrior. Her nose wrinkled, taken aback by the strong scent that dripped from his skin, that and the little golden blood that oozed from the tree’s wounds.

Call me what you will, huh? She cocked her head curiously, her eyes fluttering open to get a better look at him. She roamed over his body, taking in his strange eye and scar, smirking as she chose not to respond to such a stupid question. She was here because she could be here. There was no other reason. She stayed because she wanted to stay, was that such a crime? With a snort she stood up, brushing the back of the dress off. She needed a way to escape for awhile.

“I’ll hunt. Any requests?”

"Hm?" Earths attention and eye shifted to the wolfwoman who had just decided to stand up
He was side facing her sitting loosely, relaxedly postured. "I stabbed you. I don't know the details of shapeshifting but your wound should’ve be pretty bad for (even) a moose. Worse than mine.
Will it be difficult for you?"

“Calm yourself Shadow-man. I don’t like the taste of human flesh,” Ammy yawned and looked at Earth, her arm stretching above her head as she tested the area he had pierced. It felt fine and she shook her head, moving a step back from Xin. Jeremy stood beside her as she cocked her head in his general direction, giving him a small smile. He was the first in the group to have come so close willingly, plus, he smelled—dead—but it came across calm.

“I’ll be fully healed if I shift two more times. I’d rather not explain how that works, but if you feel like it I guess you could always try and watch me change, though I warn you it isn’t flowers and rainbows,” she rocked back onto one leg, grinning slightly. “Can someone come grab Skye’s dress in a little bit? I don’t want to tear it.”

Jeremy did not notice the small smile given by the shape shifter, it was in his blind spot where his right eye was covered by the stitched-on piece of leather. He continued staring at the life energy in the shadows, his suspicions rising. That guy seems dangerous.

As a reply to the shape shifter's question, Jeremy said; "Nah, I have some business." He did not look towards her, and his voice seemed more stern and serious. Suddenly, something smacked into his chest, he looked down to see an arrow pointing out from his body. It had struck him right in the non beating heart. No blood fell from the wound, it was as if the arrow hit a random inanimate target instead of a being.
Jeremy looked at the direction the shadow man first was, wait. He's gone? He then looked towards the source of the arrow, that bastard moved into the trees and is shooting at Jeremy. "Oi! What the hell was that for, ya bastard? This would've killed me! Well, at least I have an excuse now..."

Jeremy held his arm out, his hand in a position seeming that he was holding something. Then, pentagrams appeared, floating in the air horizontally. There were two, one moved upwards, another downwards. A massive handle formed in Jeremy's hand, it was about 1 and a half the size of Jeremy. Along with the handle, a massive blade formed at the top end, it stretch about the same length as the user's body. The scythe had been summoned via summoning magic, the whole spell only lasted a couple seconds. Once the pentagrams disappeared, Jeremy quickly held the scythe in both hands. The blade pointing diagonally away and down on the right side of his body.
Charlotte and her mother both sat where they were told, their mouths and eyes wide open at the great weapon that suddenly appeared out of nowhere and the, supposedly fatal damage. It was a good thing it was just an arrow, regeneration won't be needed for this kind of damage. It can be left.

"Hoho, you are changing now?"
Earth was very excited. His face did not show it as much as his eye did, and he tipped his chin slightly upwards.
"Im going, to look at the village."
He took a stand, pushing himself up in a slow, almost lazy, looking manner.
"It a can wait a little though."

Ammy tackled Jeremy, knocking him aside the second she smelt the overwhelming fear, but it wasn’t enough. The arrow still struck and Ammy immediately let him go as her lip curled.

“I thought I wouldn’t need to do this,” she growled softly, “More jumpy than a caribou in a ravine. Come on Earth, and you too Xin. It’s time you see what a Shift actually is,” she growled before pulling the dress above her head. Gently she placed it on a tree branch, the white fabric fluttering gently as her muscles clenched.

“Whatever you do, don’t touch me,” she called out.

Around her the air began to prickle with static, her eyes closing for a moment as she slowed her breath. Her back arched and she let her form go. Skin seemed to melt away from her muscle and bone as her body began to contort. She whimpered softly as her body fell to the forest floor, massing and popping as her bone broke and muscle split. Her body curled, slowly reforming its self into a powerful hunter. Her nails grew out, her skull splitting into the form of a muzzle. Her teeth grew, curving and sharpening as her back split to make room for a tail, her nose changing as all her senses went on high alert. It was a second longer before her flesh flowed over, the muscles that had been torn were slowly knitting themselves together, the internal damage shown in a ragged cut in her side. Her chest rose in a painful breath, the tissue slowly knitting back together as the seconds ticked by. Her flesh flowed over her like water, leaving a naked wolf curled into a fetal position. A moment later fur began to run up her back from tail to snout as for a moment she lay there.

Tail, claws, teeth, nose. Good everything was there and with a yelp she leapt to her feet and jumped in front of Charlotte and her mother, just in case the arrows found their way that far back. Her pink gums showed as her hackles rose, a deep growl in her throat as she stood very still, letting the wind bring news of the world.

Xin Zhao, unable to leap after this stranger who attacked them for no reason. He focused on defending his acquaintances who were all innocent in his eyes. When the stranger fled, Xin gave chase on foot. He had no real hope of catching him but he wanted to make sure. That he was gone. He had to defend them, regardless of who they were. He was honor bound to defend the innocent and in this situation they had done no wrong. They were innocent. He ceased to chase after some time. He needed to make sure they were safe that this danger was gone. He needed to_

"Reap the winds of peace!".

Xin was knocked back by a sudden and powerful gust of wind that swept through the pines and slammed into him. They dragged his body back till a tree got in the way and acted as an anchor. The winds died as suddenly as they came and Xin stood up immediately, his spear having been ripped from his grip, it was the first thing he searched for and went for after he stood. His eyes then examined the woods around him. This was the work of magic..., he thought. Be careful Xin...

"Show yourself!", he shouted holding his ground. " I am Xin Zhao and If wish to be make yourself my foe, then come and fight!".

There a few moments of silence..no not silence... There footsteps...Light foot steps. A woman walked around a tree, a woman that caused Xin to drop his spear and bow the instant he saw her. A thousand apologies flowed from his mouth, all of which were silenced by her beautiful and gentle voice.

"No need to apologize, Warrior of the East... I was merely preventing you from chasing whomever was in the trees...".

The wolf woman had taken her dress off seemingly indifferent to the fact that she was standing amidst many people, perhaps importantly too - many men.
" …Whatever you do, don't touch me... ... dammit now I really want to touch her."
Because it sounded like something delightful, what did she mean? For the sake of hers or his, for what reason? It sounded like something that could only lead to agony. But of course he could not touch.
He’d have to settle with watching.
To him, it was exciting, a little beautiful and arousing. Bones cracking flesh tearing, tendons snapping, it all reminded him of fond memories, drawing them out and for moments, giving them life. It looked terrible and grotesque and he envied her for the seconds of her transformation.
When it was over and his collected consciousness seeped back into his head, and emotions faded in his chest and veins, he realized he had been lost for a few seconds. What a great thing.

There had been something hiding in the trees, the bushes or the shadows. Earth had known this for some time, not because he himself noticed it, but because of the behavior of the people around him. The wolf had been the first one to realize something, Jeremy the 2nd. Or so Earth thought. He had not noticed Xin’s part.
So when the arrow flew, Earth was not surprised or intrigued, it was not very remarkable.
The shape shift had been more interesting a thing, and now it was over.

Earth said before walking away “I’m going to the village.”

Watching the shape shift taking place, Jeremy noticed how much life energy was taken up. That kind of action seems insane, normally it would kill someone to use so much energy in one go. Well... Normally.
Suddenly the new wolf figure jumped towards Charlotte and her mother, fuck. Is this the same as werewolves? Does she have no control over her wolf form? He better stop any damage to Charlotte.

Charlotte's mother quickly acted, she jumped up and placed herself in front of Charlotte. Holding her arms out in means of spreading the area of defense while Charlotte fell back in fear and gave off a sharp scream.
Jeremy quickly stood up, he faced the wolf holding his scythe in both hands, the blade pointed forwards. His legs were separated more to allow quick actions and maneuverability when using the scythe. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!" Jeremy shouted, his voice sounded desperate and protective. He could not risk anything.

Before he realized, Jeremy was already slowly shifting closer to the wolf, ready to attack. The shadow man was of no concern, the pussy just ran away and Xin went after him. This is more important.

"Hm?" Earth turned around.
Jeremy had screamed with emotions. That was unusual - Earths attention was more then caught.
In the gilded, sunlit, shadow scattered scenery, Jeremy was posturing aggressively towards the wolf, wielding his scythe. That was not good; Earth did not want her to die. Nor did he want Jeremy to die, but he was already dead.
He was going to take part in a conflict if one was to arise, and which side he'd support he'd almost instantly decided.
Earth released the grip of his heavy sword and it hit the ground with a thump, airing a transparent cloud of light dust. He drew one of his curved blades. It was done slowly and the sound of sharp metal whispers cut through all noise in that forest.

Ammy’s jaw dropped, she screamed. Why the hell would she scream?! She looked over her shoulder at the girl and the dead woman, her arms spread as if to protect the girl. From what/who/danger? Ammy would protect them from harm. She was pack-kin. Slowly she turned to look at the girl, her tail wagging softly.

Relax/no fear/ sleep girl-kin. I/Ammy won’t hurt you, she thought softly, going down onto her belly when a shout rose her to her feat. She understood clearly and the anger that hit her sent her tail between her legs.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!!

Death/She-who-had helped, what are you doing?!

Ammy whimpered, her eyes going wide as she realized he was coming closer, rising the weapon that would cut her in two. The look in his eyes gave her an answer. With a yelp she jumped away, trying everything to show she meant no harm to his pup. It was no use, they did not see/understand.

"Please!!" she barked.

Jeremy's anger continued, he refused to take his eye off of the wolf. Using his peripheral vision, he quickly side-stepped over to Charlotte and her mother, keeping the stance. But, the wolf seems to be whimpering, was it just the surprising scream of Charlotte that caused Jeremy to take action? But why did he? He never cared before, if Charlotte died, it was easy life energy to harvest.

Jeremy stared at the wolf, it was whimpering, or is it some kind of facade? He rested his stance a little, staying in the defensive. Underneath the rags, he was bearing his teeth. "Y-you... W-what were you doing? I-if you mean any harm, I'll kill you." Jeremy spoke out, the sound of his voice showed that he was speaking through gritted teeth. His intense anger caused him to stutter. "W-write, on the ground. N-now!" Jeremy gave the order, he wanted proof of his accomplices' safety.

Sliding his back foot further out, closing his eye, twisting and bending his chest forward. His silluhette is low, his forth leg bent, and strongly rooted in the ground.
The handle is gripped by both hands and lowered to his side, and the blade is parallel with the ground.
The white sash of two crosses that usually covers his left eye is not there, but hanging down his neck.
How fast would he cover the distance? 1 second, 2? Definitely in time. He doesn't like to open it - not so much for the cost, but for its spoiling fun. But is it needed? He wants to see the scene play out, the danger that brings him worry is also what makes him excite.
Uncertainty, determination already faltering, one'd call it flickering at best, unexistent at worst.
He's decided to just move closer.

Ammy stopped, her head cocking with the "really" look on her face.

I'm a wolf dumb ass she growled as she looked at her paws. How would she write with such things? Carefully she stood and placed a single paw out in front of her, leaving behind a print as she sank to her belly and began to slowly crawl forward, her eyes locked on the young girl, flickering occasionally to Jeremy's face. Would she scream again? What was Earth doing?

She stopped and turned her attention onto him, confusion flickering across her brow. Her body growled as she suddenly stood.
