| Height |

| Hair Color |
Raven

| Tattoos |
On the left side of her pelvis is a tribal tiger tattoo. If she wears loose pants very low on her hips, you can see the upper half of the tiger peeking up over her waistband.

| Scars |
Kai’s knuckles are rough and scarred, and her fingers are calloused. She has a foot long scar the runs down her left shoulder blade.

| Appearance |
Kai has quite the eye catching appearance. She has a curvaceous, girly figure with a large bust. Her raven-black hair reaches her waist and her eyes are a deep auburn color. Her facial features are sharp and attractive. Kai’s skin is soft and pale, with only the occasional scar or tattoo. Her pearly white teeth and thin lips make for the best evil smirks. Lean, powerful muscles can be found everywhere on her body. She has a light six pack and a somewhat prominent v-line.
Kai doesn’t have much of a style. She wears an assortment of different types of clothing, ranging from jeans to t-shirts to mini skirts to dresses. It really depends on her mood. However, she usually only wears boots and sneakers due to her hatred of open-toed shoes.

| Personality |
{ | Bold | Mischievous | Playful | Perverted | Motherly | Dominant | }
When Kai walks into a room, all the attention has to be on her. She carries herself with a sense of pride and power. She has a sharp glare and a sharper tongue, making her both an interesting yet intimidating person to talk to or approach. She always seems to have a devilish smirk on her face, so she always looks to be up to something. Her chest is always puffed out and her back is always straight, with her head held high and her chin up.
Kai is quite the social butterfly. Its rather easy for her to find people to talk to and make friends, as long as they can actually put up with her loud, proud talkativeness. She has a dominate yet motherly figure. She’s extremely over protective of all of her friends, and she hates bullying more than anything else. And although her temper is a bit short, she always means well.
It seems as if “personal space” isn’t in Kai’s dictionary. She’s constantly piercing people’s personal bubbles. She loves giving hugs and wrapping her arms around others, especially if they’re shorter than her. Kai’s also extremely dirty in the sense where she’s constantly making innuendoes and implying things with her words.

Despite the fact that Kai might just seem like a hot-headed, loud brute, she’s actually rather wise. She’s read hundreds upon hundreds of books, many of which contemplating deep topics. She has memorized thousands of quotes that she says to herself when if the appropriate time arises. She’s great at giving advice and is a surprisingly good listener.

| Strengths |
Memory || Kai was born with hyperthymesia, otherwise known as Superior Autobiographical Memory. Kai remembers everything and anything that has or will ever happen to her. This makes it extremely easy for her to breeze through school without ever appearing to try very hard.

Multi-Lingual || With Kai’s heightened memory, she has learned a multitude of European and Asian languages.

Music || Kai is currently majoring in music. She can play the guitar (electric and acoustic), the drums, piano, electric bass, the flute, and she does vocals. Essentially, she is a one woman band.

Mixed Martial Arts || Kai has been practicing Mixed Martial Arts since she was very young, and she has grown rather fond of and good at the sport.

| Weaknesses |
Bluntness || Kai can have a bit of a sharp tongue when it comes to expressing her opinion. She’s utterly clever and witty, not to mention blunt, so getting in an argument with her isn’t the best idea.

Her Fears || Everyone is afraid of something.

Short, Cute Girls || Enough said.

| Fears |
Doctors and Needles || Kai really doesn’t know why she fears the doctor so much, but the mere smell of rubbing alcohol makes her anxious.

Dying || Well, who isn’t afraid of dying?

| Home Situation |
Kai currently lives in a good sized apartment with her good friend Iku Asuki. The apartment has two rooms, one for each of the girls, one bathroom, a living room with a tv, and a small kitchen. The apartment is about a ten minute walk from the University.

| Family |
Darya Volkov || Mother || 47 || Alive
Makoto Ozaki || Father || 49 || Alive
Saburo Ozaki || Sister || 16 || Alive

| History |
Kai was born to a famous Russian chef for a mother and a rich, businessman father. Money was never a problem growing up for her, and her family got along well. When she was six, her mother had another daughter.

Kai’s advanced memory capacity carried her through school. It was so easy sometimes that Kai found herself rather bored. She spent years exploring different hobbies. She excelled at everything she tried, drawing, painting, cooking, etc. She tried sports and found most of them boring and useless. But for her twelfth birthday, her parents bought her an acoustic guitar, and she fell in love. Music helped her express herself, and she found that it didn’t require as much intense commitment as many of the other hobbies. She she decided that she wanted to become a musician, perhaps join a band. Her parents decided to send her to Tokyo University since it was well known for its successful music program.

Kai had always known her feelings towards other girls was different. Despite this, she has never been ashamed. She’s loud and proud, and makes that very obvious. She’s been on plenty of dates with other girls, has kissed a few, but is yet to have sex. Although she may act as if she’s very experienced, she isn’t at all, and no one knows except for Iku.

Chi walked off the train, dragging her heavy suitcase along beside her, and looked around. She hadn't been to Tokyo in 11 years...but it still looked just how she had left all that time ago. The station was pretty empty since it was already 9 pm, and it was dark outside. Chi rubbed her arms to try and get warmer. She had made a terrible decision to wear shorts and a t-shirt, it was much colder here then it was in Hokkaido, but she braved through the temperature and walked out of the station. She had a lot of bags to carry but she made it back to the apartment building she was now living in.

She got the keys from the lady at the front desk, and finally walked into her new home. It was smaller then she had expected, with nothing but a tiny kitchen bathroom and bedroom, but Chi was living alone so it would suffice. She wouldn't be spending much time there anyway. Setting her bags down and opening up her suitcase, she slowly unpacked and put away her possessions. Her furniture had been moved into the apartment already so there wasn't much else to do but fill up her dresser and bookshelf. And as soon as she finished, she climbed into bed and fell asleep, ignoring the fact that she hadn't eaten anything all day. She needed sleep.

{"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day." }

“Kaiii!”

“Hggnnn…”

“Kaaaiii-kuunn! Get uuupp!”

“F… five more… five more minutes…” Kai complained, rolling over in her bed. She picked up her pillow and smothered it over her head, trying to block out the sounds of the awakening world around her.

“No! You’ve already had your five minutes!”

“Iku…-”

“Don’t you dare ‘Iku’ me!” The short blonde shouted and stomped over to Kai’s room, throwing her door open. Kai groaned in annoyance as Iku turned on the lights and attempted to tear the covers off of her body. “You need to get up and get ready for school! You’ve only got fifteen minutes now!” With a few grunts and huffs of aggravation, Kai sat up. She ran her fingers through her messy hair, taming the beast for a little while. Iku frowned. “C’mon! Up an attem!” She reached for Kai’s wrist, but the girl jerked away.

“I’ll be up in a minute…”

“I made breakfast.”

“Really?!” Kai immediately perked up. Iku nodded. Kai almost instantly leapt to her feet, already shedding her pajamas.

“Geez! Have some decency woman!” Iku darted out of the room with a giggle.

In less than ten minutes, Kai had gotten dressed into a pair of white pants, a navy blouse, and some dark blue converse the match her shirt. She straightened her hair and quickly ate breakfast, brushing her teeth soon afterwards. A pair of red headphones hung around her neck, almost perfectly matching her dark red backpack. “Iku! We’re going to be late if you don’t hurry!”

The blonde hastily put her flats on. “You have no right to say that to me.”

And with that the two were off. The university was only about a ten minute walk from their apartment. Kai wore her headphones, making sure that only one of her ears was covered so she could still retain conversation with Iku.

Eventually, Kai began to focus more on the music than she was on Iku. Iku frowned her usual disappointed frown and grabbed the headphone cord, yanking it out. The music that had been playing now played out loud. Iku smirked as she recognized the higher-pitched Japanese voice. “Are you listening to Vocaloid again?”

“M-maybe…” She grumbled, snatching the plug back. “The songs are just too cute and too well thought out! I got into this school performing a cover of a song that was originally by Kaito…” Kai did something very out of character. She actually blushed a bit.

“Wait… seriously?” Iku fought down a snicker. Kai nodded. “Well, it must have been great considering you actually made it in.”

“It was, and I had a lot of fun performing it. Maybe I’ll get a Vocaloid sampled from my voice one day…” Kai hummed pleasantly.

Iku grinned as she looked at her. “You’re such a massive dork.”

Kai pushed the main door open, gesturing for Iku to enter. “Thank you, madam.” Iku teased.

“Anything for you, m’lady.”

The two walked down to the music department together. Although Kai was a natural born performer, Iku has always been more of the kind of person to stand and cheer from the sidelines. Iku was always more talented at creating music and writing lyrics than actually performing what she created. So the two girls naturally gravitated towards each other. Kai would perform any of Iku’s creations without hesitation. The two also spoke English fluently and both enjoy American music. Iku has some good vocals, but they’re nothing compared to Kai’s. Kai is able to manipulate her voice to such a degree that she can reach the low notes many female singers miss, but she can also sing as high as any other female singer. She’s been practicing her rapping, though she’d always prefered singing.

As they entered the main music room, they immediately went to action. Class wouldn’t start for another half an hour, and this early free time always gave the students some time to practice. They both hopped onto the small stage on the far side of the room. Iku was already at the mixing station on the left of the stage. Kai put a mic on its stand and went to grab a stool.

Mere moments after the two girls had walked into the room, one was sitting with a mic in her hand and the other was waiting to hit play.

It was almost like some form of extreme guessing game. Iku would play a song and not tell Kai what the song was. Kai had to search through her memory and find the song and the lyrics so should could sing it. Kai nodded to the blonde, and Iku hit play.

Kai listened closely and opened her mouth:
“I don't wanna hurt you cause I don't think it's a virtue
But you and I have come to our end
Believe me when I tell you that I never wanna see you again
And please can you stop calling cause it's getting really boring
And I've told you I don't want to be friends
Believe me when I tell you that I never wanna see you again

How on earth could I be any more obvious?
It never really did and now it's never gonna happen with the two of us
I don't understand what it is that you're chasing after
But it makes me really sad to hear you sound so desperate
It just makes it harder”

With the speakers cranked on high, the sound of Kai’s singing voice and the peppy music vibrated through the school’s halls. Students were welcome to visit the music room and watch the other students practice before classes started. Kai knew it wouldn’t be long before a crowd would gather.

“I can see how it's confusing - it could be considered using
When I call you up straight out of the blue
But I don't understand what else a girl in my position's to do
Now I know you feel betrayed but it's been weeks since I got laid
This doesn't mean that I don't think you're a fool
But I don't understand what else a girl in my position's to do

How on earth could I be any more obvious?
It never really did and now it's never gonna happen with the two of us
I don't understand what it is that you're chasing after
But it makes me really sad to hear you sound so desperate
It just makes it harder

I know it's rather ugly cause I know that you still love me
And this isn't any kind of excuse
I don't love you, I don't love you...

How on earth could I be any more obvious?
It never really did and now it's never gonna happen with the two of us
I don't understand what it is that you're chasing after.”

After the song was finished, Kai let out a soft shout of triumph. She turned to Iku and flashed a grin. The blonde only shook her head and tossed Kai a water bottle. “Ready for another?”

“Damn right I am!” Kai said with excitement. Iku chuckled as she played another song, purposefully picking a quieter, gentler one.

Love of mine, some day you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark

If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the "No"'s on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark.”

By now a few students had entered the room; to watch and to practice alike.

”In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me,
"Son, fear is the heart of love."
So I never went back

If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the "No"'s on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It's nothing to cry about
'Cause we'll hold each other soon
In the blackest of rooms

If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the "No"'s on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
Then I'll follow you into the dark…”

Chi awoke to the loud ringing of her alarm clock. Shutting it off rather violently, she sat up, looking out the window at the birds that were singing. '...school...' Her first thought was how excited she was for school. She had already enrolled in both an Archeology class as well as a Photography class, and she was ready for both. She stood and brushed through her brunette hair. She took almost one minute to decide on wearing her old Junior High School uniform, a navy blue sailor outfit with short sleeves and white accents that surprisingly still fit her. She was somewhat wishing her father had been around to make her breakfast. He was a wonderful cook. But he wasn't there, so she settled for a bean paste bun. She hurriedly brushed her teeth and shoved her laptop in her messenger bag, along with her cell phone, iPod, and textbooks. She almost walked out the door before walking back into her apartment and grabbing her Violin. It had been the last present she had received from her mother before the divorce, and she carried it with her no matter where she went. 'So...Tokyo University huh? How am I supposed to find that place when I've never even been to Tokyo till last night?' Chi looked down at her flimsy paper map and tried to find Tokyo University amidst all the other sightseeing buildings. She finally found it, and about half an hour later, she arrived at the school. 'Good thing I left an hour early...' Chi walked inside and looked around, and the first thing that caught her eye was a sign that said in large white Hiragana: "Music Department". She looked down at her Violin and let her thoughts flow. Maybe she could sign up for a music class in her spare time...no, she didn't have any spare time. But she did have 30 minutes before her Archeology class began. So, she followed the sign and walked into the huge room, just in time to see a girl singing beautifully on the stage, another girl standing behind her who appeared to be working the turntables.

Satomi Okada

Another quiet morning began in Satomi's average little apartment as the sun's light struggled to find its way inside through the small cracks of Satomi's blinds. A slightly offensive and droning tone began to emit from the girl's alarm clock which sat alone on her nightstand. Begrudgingly, Satomi was pulled into consciousness as she rolled over and ungracefully felt about for the alarm's snooze button. It was her first day back to school for the semester but Satomi decided that she'd be taking a lazy morning today.

After dragging herself out of bed and through her typical morning rituals she went to her fridge and pulled out the remaining left overs of some pizza she had ordered the other day to reheat and eat. A lazy morning indeed.

It wasn't long after that Satomi found herself outside, squinting up at the offensively bright sky before simply shaking her head and placing a rather unassuming set of headphones over her ears and making her way to the train station. It was a trip she had become very accustomed to making after spending a bit over a year here. The trip, as usual, was quite boring and uneventful but fortunately not very long.

As she wandered onto campus through the front gate she slipped the headphones off of her head and down around her neck before fishing into her pocket for a slip of paper that detailed her class schedule and locations. After nearly bumping into more than a few people thanks to her distracted wandering she found herself near the music department. From the sounds of it some students were already practicing inside.

There was still some time before her first class would be starting so Satomi lingered there, listening and staring off at the door to the building, 'Music huh?... Must be nice... Doing something you love.'

Without giving it much thought Satomi wandered in to the building, following the sound of what seemed to be a song in English, she wasn't quite sure what any of it meant but it sounded nice enough. After a short search she discovered the source of the music. Two women were up on the stage and as Satomi arrived it seemed they were just about finished with their second song. Satomi gave a polite clap as she looked the performers over, the black haired woman looked a bit familiar, perhaps she'd seen her in passing through the university. 'Talented and pretty huh?... Wonder what you have to do to get that lucky.'

{"I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me - like food or water." }

Despite the fact that applause that followed was rather small, Kai’s eyes lit up. She smiled widely, practically bouncing over to Iku. “I wanna play something now!”

Iku nodded. “Like what?” She never removed her eyes from the turn tables.

“I dunno… I want you to play with me though!” Kai grinned, rocking back and forth on her heels.

Iku grimaced, biting her bottom lip soon afterward. “I don’t know, Kai… I-I’m not..-”

“C’mon it’ll be fine! I’ll be there and you can sing backup!”

“I assume you’ve picked out the song then.”

“Cat’s Dance! Y’know, the one by Hanatan.”

“That was quick.” Iku huffed.

“I’ll go grab your keyboard!”

“W-wait-” Before Iku could even finish speaking, she leapt into action. She hopped off of the stage and darted over to the other side of the room. Almost effortlessly, she picked up the heavy keyboard and its stand. Humming pleasantly to herself, she walked back to the stage, the keyboard tucked under her shoulder and the stand in her other hand. She set the keyboard up next to her mic and grabbed a mic for Iku, putting it into the right place.

Kai jogged over the Iku again, who handed her a caramel-colored spanish guitar. “Don’t be nervous Iku, there’s practically no one here! You know all the words and notes, probably better than I do.”

“You and I both know that’s not possible.”

Kai pouted rather childishly. “Jeez… I was just trying to cheer you up.”

Iku chuckled. “I’m fine. Go get ready.”

Kai nodded enthusiastically and walked back onto the stage, slinging the guitar over her shoulder. She blew into the mic gently, both to make sure it was still on and to recapture the attention of their small audience.

The music started, catching Kai off guard slightly. She placed her fingers on the strings of the guitar, waiting as the small piano entrance began. Iku walked over to the keyboard, ready to play as well. Kai took a deep breath through her nose.

“Meow.”

A few strums of the guitar, and Kai was set. She smiled as she continued to sing.

“The red tea on the table is left cooled
The sunset of melancholy is excess time
How long you are going to leave me here for?
No, I don't want that.

How many times do I have to repeat myself?
Not enough, as if I have to repeat it endlessly
I thought I told you I hate waiting?
Whatever, let me punish you.

Don't look at me with those eyes
I always give you a reward don't I?
If you understand give me a kiss right now
You'll understand if you don't want to be an abandoned cat right? Good kitty.

Sing and dance, Amore mio, wag your tail
If you want to be embraced by this graceful flower
Stronger, Amore mio, ring your bell
Now dance.

You're fine as long as you're comfortable right?
Like a sleeping cat rolling on its back
The bottle went empty some time ago
Refill it quickly.

Stop acting cold towards me and teasing me
If you were in my position it wouldn't work
If you understand then hug me right now
You understand that tonight shall be drunk with love right? Good kitty.

Sing and dance, Amore mio, wag your tail
If you want to be my Prince charming
More painfully, Amore mio, shout your throat dry
Now spoil me.

You haven't cried since yesterday
Will I be all alone tomorrow again?
So let me hear your cries
I'm not lonely... although its a lie…”

As the small spanish guitar solo ensued, Kai played perfectly to match with the background music, her fingers dancing across the strings. Her eyes appeared to be dark, lidded almost. Her predatory gaze swept the crowd, her snide smirk matching the tone of the song. She stopped her crowd sweeping once her eyes settled on a certain purple haired girl. Purple hair..? Interesting… She kept her stare locked onto the purple-haired girl, making it seem as if she was singing to her.

“It seems I've fallen into a dream some time ago
Being looked at gently by those amber eyes
Thinking about it, you were the only one that was always here for me
Giving the empty me love and warmth, good kitty.

Sing and dance, Amore mio, wag your tail
If you want to be embraced by this graceful flower
Stronger, Amore mio, ring your bell
Now dance.

Tonight we dance, dance the cat's dance
We shall step lightly and with dignity
You're really bad at dancing you know
But even that part of you is cute.”

Kai’s grin did not go away. As the rest of the song played out, her hips swayed with the beat.

“Meow!”

(( Song || Here’s a note, the entire song was sung in Japanese. Here are the translated lyrics.

EDIT: I added a bit to the post. Just a few sentences in the middle of the song to make things... interesting. ;P))

Chi sat in the very back of the room as the girls on the stage finished their song. She heard the door open, and a taller girl with distinct violet colored hair walked in, probably drawn in by the music the way Chi had been. She watched the girl from the corner of her eye but was distracted as the girls performing started a new song. There was another girl singing this time too, a duet of sorts. Chi decided that it must be the girl who had previously been working the timetables, and she was now playing on a keyboard as well as chiming in during the chorus. The main vocalist was now playing the guitar as well as singing. Chi was amazed at how they could sing and play an instrument at the same time, she could only focus on one of them and she failed miserably every time she tried to do both. But that was her. She didn't believe she'd been made for music. She was much better at mathematics and reading ancient languages, and she'd been smart to major in those areas. But...it seemed odd. She'd never been so drawn to music, not since her mother had left and taken her violin with her. But perhaps that was because she'd never been able to listen to music unless it was from the internet or herself, her father didn't really like music since it reminded him so much of Chi's mother. But that didn't matter, did it? No, of course not. So for now, Chi just watched and listened to the song, pushing away all thoughts of her past and her parents.

Satomi Okada

As the light applause in the room faded, the two girls up on stage started to move about and chat, apparently their impromptu performance wasn't quite over yet. With the two performers busy setting up their instruments and hurrying about the stage Satomi's attention turned to her phone and the time, 'I've still got time... I suppose I can linger here a bit longer. It might be a bit rude to just up and leave in the middle of their performance.'

Satisfied with this rationale her curious gaze began to wander about the small crowd that was gathered. As one might expect, most of the students here looked to be musicians of some sort, carrying instruments of all shapes and sizes. The closest Satomi ever got to playing an instrument was the recorder she was forced to play back in elementary school. She shuddered, closed her eyes, and shook her head at the embarrassing memory of performing on that thing way back when and at the awful sounds the cheap plastic thing could produce. How her parents managed to sit through that was unfathomable to her.

Pushing these thoughts aside Satomi opened up her blue eyes to find herself gazing upon a young woman who sat nearby. From the looks of the case at her side, Satomi's best guess was that this girl played violin. A rather lovely instrument in her opinion and one of her favorites really. Her line of thought was however promptly interrupted by the distinctive sound of one of the performers blowing a few puffs of air into the mic from up on the stage.

The pair on stage wasted no time with introductions or words of any sort, they simply launched into yet another song. It wasn't the type of song Satomi would typically listen to, but she found it to be pleasant enough, particularly the guitar which the black-haired girl played expertly. With a stoic expression betraying only mild interest she kept her curious blue orbs fixed upon the performer and her guitar as she launched into a solo. Her thoughts drifted this way and that with questions and curiosities about the woman on stage, and it was around this time that their eyes met.

Satomi merely blinked as the two of them locked gazes, an eyebrow arching ever so slightly as she stood by and continued to listen. It wasn't long after that the performance came to an end and Satomi turned her attention once more to her phone. 'I guess it's about time.'

She joined in the applause only briefly before adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder and making for the exit. With a slow and steady pace she meandered down the hall and took the headphones that hung around her neck in her hand to place back atop her head and resumed the mellow tunes she was listening to not long ago. Just before she reached the exit she paused to look over a vending machine that was host to all sorts of drinks in the hallway. 'Water?... Or maybe coffee?...'

Chi watched the violet-haired girl exit the room when the song ended, and looking at the clock on the wall, she decided she should probably head to class. She stood and picked up her violin. She was starting for the exit, but it seemed like something was holding her back. It might have been the fact that she was in the Music Department of Tokyo University and was holding a Violin that had never once been used. Yeah, that was probably it. But Chi also thought it might have been the voice of the raven-haired woman on the stage. Something about her singing was...captivating. It made Chi want to sit there and watch forever. But she couldn't, so she would just come back tomorrow and listen some more. Maybe. For now, she walked out of the room and into the hallway, looking around for a sign pointing to where her class was. She finally spotted a sign labeled with the words 'Art Department' and followed the arrow down the hallway. As she walked into the department, she almost tripped on a stray can of paint. Lining the walls where just about any artistic equipment imaginable: cameras, cans of paint, boxes of paintbrushes, stray pencils, pastel cases, empty canvases, you name it. It was all strewn about the hall. Chi carefully made her way to her class, stepping over and around the discarded items and walking into the classroom. Cameras covered the entirety of the room, the walls covered in lines of photographs. More photographs hung from the ceiling. There were several buckets of photography solution and the windows were covered to make the room dark for film developing. It was amazing in Chi's eyes, wondrous to behold. Chi spent entire two hour class helping her few classmates develop photos and take more. By the time the class was over, Chi had her own personal photo line and a top-notch camera to use.

{"Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything." }

Kai was practically glowing with pride as another little applause followed the two girls’ performance. She glanced at the violet-haired girl again, watching as she simply left the room after the song. She couldn’t help but frown slightly. I nudge from Iku snapped her from her little sullen pout. “Class will be starting soon.”

Kai nodded and smiled again. “Thanks for coming to our little performance!” Kai spoke through the mic, giving a small wave as the room cleared out except for the remaining music students.

Iku nudged Kai again, getting her attention. “We should probably start packing this stuff up.”

Kai nodded and picked up Iku’s keyboard effortlessly once more, returning it to its proper place.

“You were totally staring at her.”

“I was not.” Kai huffed, picking up her backpack and slinging it over her shoulder.

“Yeah, you were.” Iku smirked, walking towards the door.

Kai glared at the shorter girl, following quickly behind her. “...Iku. Her hair was purple.”

“So you were staring!”

“Purple!” Kai shouted, throwing her arms up in exasperation. Now that the first few periods of the day were over, the two were headed to the food court to grab some lunch. “Purrrrple!”

“That’s not the only reason you were staring, and you know it.”

Kai hesitated, as if trying to choose her next words wisely. “... She did have blue eyes.”

“Ha-ha!”

Kai scowled at the blonde. “Don’t think I didn’t notice you staring at him again.”

Iku immediately stiffened, her jaw clenching. “You think she’s cute.”

“You think he’s hot.”

“Do not!”

Kai flashed a cheeky grin and shrugged her shoulders innocently. “Its just what you told me.”

“You didn’t deny it though…”

“Deny what?”

“That she’s cute.”

“Sure she is.” Kai shrugged and continued before Iku could interject. “I find a lot of girls attractive, so what? She’s probably not my type anyways.”

“How the hell would you know? You don’t even know her name!”

Kai shrugged once more as the two stepped into the food court. “Why didn’t we just make lunch?”

“Because you’re lazy.” Iku grumbled, crossing her arms. “And don’t change the subject!”

“Already did.” Kai smirked and stepped in line with Iku close behind.

What a thrilling morning of classes. Satomi sighed and shook her head, even her thoughts were sarcastic today. A small frown played across her face at the nature of her own negative mindset as she wandered away from her class and towards the food court, drowning out the world around her with her headphones and music. Her thoughts drifted away from the classes of the day and towards the hunger she felt in her stomach as she came nearer to the food court.

Quickly, she moved through the food court, weaving between students as she made her way straight for the line. With her attention down on her phone she tapped and swiped away, picking out a new song before finally tearing her eyes away from the small glowing screen and looking up at the line before her.

Before her were a familiar looking pair, the blonde and black haired duo from earlier that morning. A brow arched up at the coincidence and after a few moments of hesitation and thought she slipped one side of the headphones off from her ear and spoke up. "Hey there." She buried her hands into the pockets of her coat before continuing, "I saw your performance earlier this morning. Do you two do that often?"

She wasn't quite sure what prodded her on to actually speak with the pair. Perhaps simple boredom, or maybe it was her curiosity just getting the better of her. Regardless, she looked up at the dark-haired girl with slight interest as her headphones continued to hum lightly with music. Being face to face now Satomi began to look her over, taking in some of the finer details she was unable to make out from a distance. Perhaps the most surprising thing was just how tall this girl was. Satomi felt short in her presence which was not something she was at all used to.

Chi realized the time and started searching for the Cafeteria. She didn't search for long, since almost every student in the school was heading there, she simply followed the crowd and she was there. She looked around at the huge room. Vendors lined every wall: American food, Japanese food, Chinese food, pretty much everything. Chi decided to buy a plate of Gyoza. Walking over, she spotted the tall raven-haired singer from that morning standing with the same blonde girl that had been playing the keyboard. Now that she saw the girl up close she noticed how long her hair was. She also had beautiful brown eyes and several tattoos. She was rather pretty, Chi thought. Not that it really mattered. Chi had never made a friend before and she wasn't likely to make one now. So she just bought her lunch and chose a seat in the corner of the room, next to a window and far away from everyone else.

Chi's eyes wandered back to the tall girl. She watched her talk to the other girl, and she made a mental note to find out their names so she wouldn't have to call them "Raven" and "Blondie"...not that she would call them that. She just needed an excuse to find out their names. Chi had just started eating when she noticed the purple-haired girl walk over to them and seemingly start a conversation. She wished she could have the courage to start a conversation like that. But making conversation wasn't important, her studies were. If she didn't concentrate on her classes she would have to face her father's disappointment. And that was the last thing she wanted to do right now.

"Hey there."

Kai stopped mid-sentence and turned around, only to her vision flooded by a certain color. Purple. Her eyes widened. Mind-Reader?!

"I saw your performance earlier this morning. Do you two do that often?"

“... Hey.” Kai chirped back quickly, trying to make sure her jaw wasn’t hanging open. Iku’s introverted personality began to show as she took a slight step behind Kai, finding comfort in hiding behind her taller friend. Kai couldn’t help but flash a warming smile, a sense of pride burning in her chest.

“Umm… Yeah.” She answered, nodding. “Well, its really whoever gets there first gets the stage, and since we’re usually awake at the crack of dawn, we tend to claim the stage rights. If its not us, it’s usually Sora. He likes to show off his guitar “skills”, though he definitely needs more practice than he thinks.” Kai chuckled.

“I’m Kai, by the way. Kaiogo Ozaki. And this is Iku Asuki. She’s… shy.” A swift jab to the ribs from behind made her glance over her shoulder, only to see a sharp glare be delivered by the blonde. Kai knew that that stare meant: I hate when you tell people that. I’m not shy. Kai rolled her eyes.

As they spoke, they moved up in the line. Before she knew it, they were at the front. Kai ordered some yakisoba and Iku got some sort of sandwich. “We could sit down and talk if you’d like.” Kai added, looking back at the purple-haired girl.

“... Hey.”

Satomi glanced over at the blonde one curiously as she retreated. 'Cute.' she thought as the hint of a smile played across her lips. As the dark-haired girl continued on however her focus turned back up to the towering woman.

“Well, its really whoever gets there first gets the stage, and since we’re usually awake at the crack of dawn, we tend to claim the stage rights. If its not us, it’s usually Sora. He likes to show off his guitar “skills”, though he definitely needs more practice than he thinks. I’m Kai, by the way. Kaiogo Ozaki. And this is Iku Asuki. She’s… shy.”

With a simple nod Satomi repeated the names in her head in an effort to more firmly associate them with the faces before her. "I see... Well, Ozaki and Asuki then... Nice to meet you both. I'm Satomi Okada." As they moved up the line Satomi continued to examine the pair. 'What an odd couple... They seem like total opposites but still seem pretty close.' Once they had finally arrived at the front Satomi ordered a pork cutlet sandwich, a small salad, and a bottle of water.

“We could sit down and talk if you’d like.”

"Hm..." Satomi mused to herself as they exited the line with their food, her eyes wandering about the area and at all the tables full of people and their friends chatting loudly. In truth it was a bit too lively in here for her tastes but with a shrug she turned towards Kai and spoke. "Why not?" She took a brief moment to clear her throat before speaking further, "Lead the way."

{"Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what's for lunch." }

"Hm… Why not? Lead the way."

“Awesome.” Kai hummed, a small smile on her face. As she surveyed the tables of the cafeteria, she noticed just how many people were there. With a soft huff of aggravation, she decided on a table in the corner. There was a girl sitting there already, but she was all alone. Today I feel like making friends.
“C’mon.” She nodded in the direction of the table.

Once Kai was there, she quickly noticed that they were a bit short on chairs. Nonetheless, she looked at the girl sitting there. “Is it alright if we eat here?” Kai asked the brunette politely, her lips turned up in a friendly smile. As soon as she got the ok nod, she put her plate down and turn on her heel. “I’ll get us chairs.” And she was off, walking to nearby tables that had an extra seat. Within moments, she had three chairs. She carried them surprisingly easily, with all of them stacked up on top of each other.

Kai positioned the chairs properly. The table sat four people, or five if someone wanted to sit at the head. Iku sat immediately so she was close to the window and facing the brunette. The blonde practically dragged Kai into the chair next to her, leaving the last chair to the purple-haired girl named Satomi.

Once Kai was sat down, she pulled a water bottle out of her bag and began eating her noodles. She considered introducing herself, but she was so hungry, the food seemed so much more important. Iku would have introduced them, if not for fact that she was rather embarrassed by the whole situation. While Kai was eating, she kept glancing up at Satomi. She was infatuated by her purple locks.

After swallowing a large mouthful, Kai built up her courage and opened her mouth to speak. “Is that your natural hair color or is it fake?”

Iku glared at her and kicked her leg under the table. “Sorry about that. Kai-kun can be a bit… straightforward.”

Kai snorted slightly. Interesting choice of words… “Hey, I told you to stop calling me that.”

“Why? You’re masculine enough.”

“I’m masculine? Who’s the one with the bigger bo- Ow!” Her sentence was quickly cut off by another kick from under the table.

Now that she had started talking, Iku already felt more comfortable. She looked over at the quiet brunette. “I’m sorry, we didn’t catch your name. I’m Iku, this is Kai, and that’s Satomi.”

((Sorry if I kinda took control in this post. If there's a problem, tell me, and I'll edit things.))

Chi was a bit surprised when the three girls from that morning in the Music Department all asked to sit with her. She nodded politely, not having a legitimate reason to say no, and simply observed their features and the conversation they seemed to be having. After a bit they introduced themselves. Or rather, the blonde girl introduced them: she was Iku, the guitarist was Kai, and the unnaturally violet haired girl was Satomi. "My name is Chi, it's pleased to meet you all." Chi said, deciding it'd be better to introduce herself then be rude and ignore them. Besides, they all seemed nice, and Chi had a desire to learn more about the tall raven-haired female. She had a beautiful voice.

Chi silently pondered about several different things: why they chose to sit with her out of the entire Cafeteria, why she felt inclined to become close to Kai, and why a part of her wanted to stab her chopsticks through their eyes and into their brains. That last part was rather gruesome and she proceeded to ignore that thought completely. She'd made and broken a promise to her mother that she would make at least one friend before she turned 21. Oh well, her mother never kept her promises, so why should Chi keep hers?

In a short matter Kai had apparently picked out a spot for the group. Apparently they were going to be invading the table where a solitary and familiar looking girl was sitting. The brunette had given her nod of consent to the group, but Satomi couldn't help feeling a bit bad about it nonetheless. She heaved a small sigh as Kai and Iku took their seats, setting her own tray down and taking the seat adjacent to the rather short girl.

A slightly awkward silence ensued as Kai immediately began to eat as soon as the chairs were set up and everyone was sitting. Satomi however simply followed suit and began eating her sandwich, glancing around the table on occasion and being unable to help but notice Kai's frequent glances up at her.

“Is that your natural hair color or is it fake?”

Satomi blinked at the rather sudden question. It was certainly one she heard often enough, but the totally out-of-the-blue nature of it caught her off guard. With a brief moment spent to clear her throat she reached over her shoulder to pull her ponytail around and over her shoulder to look at it. "Well, it's dyed... So no, I suppose technically it's not my natural hair color, though it is pretty close. I've had it like this... Since high school, so personally it feels pretty natural."

As she looked away from her hair and towards the rowdy pair across the table she gave a small smile at the energetic duo's banter. After their little scuffle the blonde one, Iku, spoke up.

“I’m sorry, we didn’t catch your name. I’m Iku, this is Kai, and that’s Satomi.”

"My name is Chi, it's pleased to meet you all."

With a small nod she turned to look towards Chi as she fell into silence after introducing herself. Satomi leaned over a bit closer to Chi and spoke in a voice quiet enough that if the pair across the table were arguing, they might not hear, "Nice to meet you as well but... If you'd like us to leave just say so, I know how it is to have your peace disrupted like this." With that she leaned back over to her normal sitting position and twisted the cap off of her bottle of water and began chugging the clear liquid down hungrily before spending a moment to stretch her arms up into the air and letting out a contented sigh.
