Welcome to the Homestead. What is it exactly? At a glance, a single room with no windows, doors, or any other means of escape. You don't understand why you're here, and as your try to remember what came before now, it starts to get fuzzy. Sure you can remember some details of your life, but suddenly it feels as if it all hadn't happened, like you awoke from a dream. The room itself is bare spare two decrepit mats that you could only assume were for sleeping, and a thick, dusty old book in the corner of the room. You know you're going to be here for a while, but what you didn't know is that you're not alone in the room. Sure, things might look dark and grim right now, but you're in a place of wonders that can be changed an altered at anytime. The grey and the tedium will disappear if you find a meaning for it all; a reason to continue on.

There are three very simple laws for the Homestead:

1. There is no escape. You understand that try as you might, the walls are unbreakable. The lack of windows and doors seem constricting at first, but you soon forget their concept.
2. You're in here for 15 years. The time to too specific to be random, yet you cannot remember how you have this knowledge, nor does it burden you.
3. Additions and Accessories to the Homestead can be earned. There are 4 categories of things you can buy for the Homestead. Additions (New Rooms), Accessories (Furnishings), Necessities (Food, drink), and Special (Misc items, appears rarely).

Preferably I'm looking for one other person to do this RP with (one who is comfortable playing a girl. If you are actually a girl that's a plus, but not required). Originally when I had planned this, it was to be a father-daughter family relationship where I would play a guy in his twenties and you would play a young girl (5-10 years old) who aren't actually related and didn't know each other before this happened, but their time together within the Homestead eventually turns it into a father-daughter type relationship. I'm also open to just doing a normal romance-type RP where we both play as people around the same age and take it from there. It could even just be a friendship thing for all I care. Like I said, I might be willing to take on a 3rd person if I feel it could fit the story well enough.

The points that we can earn to buy stuff for the Homestead are earned by entering "the white box", which is accessible when you press a button on one of the walls that makes a door slide open in front of you. Inside the white box, you are given a number of tedious, frustratingly-futile tasks. There is no clock or minimum/maximum time you can spend in the white box, but the longer you go, the more points you earn for that day. It becomes a balancing act between your need for points and your sanity. You might think you spent hours with the white box, but in reality it was only 10 minutes. Once you exit the box (by choice or failing the task), no one can reenter for at least 24 hours. We'd have a small number of starting points to help us get started (not really defined. We can be as stringent or as loose as we want to be here).

Everything is kept track in the dusty old book in the corner. It tells us our current points, as well as the different things we can buy with the points. Once something is bought, it appears. If it's a new room addition, a doorway opens up within one of the adorning rooms. If it's food, it automatically appears in whatever storage we have. You get the idea.

I'm looking for someone who can make short and long posts when needed. I'm not looking to write an essay every time I post, but at the same time, if the scene calls for it, I wouldn't be above typing a bit more. Basically I'm good with anything ranging from a single complete sentence, all the way up to paragraphs of text. You write what the situation calls for.
