Personality: Pretty. Talented. Friendly. Anybody with eyes can see that Cassidy has all the traits to make a person physically attractive. She takes pride in her appearance, but that shouldnât lead you to believe sheâs only a pretty girl. Believe it or not, Cassidy does try in other areas in life. Played soccer for a while. Sketches and works in her spare time. Of course, because her circle of friends is so shallow and vapid, she tries to downplay these things. Only her family and the people she works with really know that thereâs more to Cassidy than a pretty face, a toned body, and a killer fashion sense.
Cassidy has always been insecure. She wonât tell you, but itâs the truth. Being mixed race, she never really felt like she could identify with anything, and a horrible allergic reaction to a flower left her with many small spots on her face and body. Theyâve since faded and Cassidy no longer feels torn between identifying with one side of the family versus the other, but someone whoâs insecure with themself doesnât always grow out of it. Sometimes they just find new things to be insecure about. As soon as the world deemed Cassidy to be stereotypically attractive and acceptable, sheâs felt a strong need to look beautiful and act like she has it together 24/7. She blends in seamlessly with the most conceited and vain popular kids. Talking makeup and hair extensions and which celebrity perfume smells better or last longer. Sheâs been doing it for so long that sometimes she forgets that thereâs more to life that instagram.
Cassidy does have a genuine interest in makeup and beauty products, but she wouldnât give them so much power over her life if she wasnât afraid of being cast aside the minute she deviated from the norm. In private, she loves to draw and feels proud of herself when she makes her own money. On the inside, sheâs fiercely loyal and cares deeply once she feels like that person cares for her. She likes morning runs and reading late at night. But when she feels like itâs time to take on the role of âpretty Cassidyâ, all of those things are set to the side. What youâre left with is a person whoâll say and do anything to fulfill the role that both she and society has created for herself. The self-absorbed, popular, person who couldnât care for anyone who didnât look like her. The pretty one.

History: Cassidy grew up an only child. Both her parents worked minimum wage jobs and knew they couldn't afford one child, let alone more. Her mother was a substitute teacher and her father worked for a cleaning company. Every morning he (along with the rest of the janitorial crew) would sweep each floor of the office buildings in Dallas and clean up. Her mother only worked a few days a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. As a result, Cassidy found herself passed around between family members and friends, always feeling like the odd-one-out. When she was four her parents divorced. The constant money struggles had eaten away at whatever love they felt for each other. And even though they'd never admit it, Cassidy always felt that her existence was part of the cause. After all, they were working day and night to make money for her, weren't they?
When she was seven, Cassidy and her mom moved away so her mother could teach full time. Her mom had been going to school thanks to money left to her after her own mother had died, and finally got the degree and certification she needed to make a better life for herself and her child. At the same time, Cassidy started playing soccer. Her coach called her a natural and her mother hoped that she'd get a scholarship to play in college. One day while playing in the park, Cassidy kicked the ball into a patch of flowers. Immediately after she fished it out, her face and body broke out all over. Her breathing was all messed up. Something had given her an allergic reaction and left her with numerous circular scars. When she returned to school, the teasing started, and although she stilled loved soccer, something about that event made it hard for her to kick a ball again. She spent more time indoors and took up drawing. As with soccer, she took to it quickly and used it as a replacement to the sport.
As she grew up, her scars faded and that child-like fear disappeared. She went back to playing soccer and loved it. However, the same people who once teased her realized Cassidy wasn't the ugly kid with scars - she was pretty. They treated her differently, and wanted her to participate when they picked on "ugly" kids. Afraid of going back to how things once were, Cass played along. She got into make up and fashion. She dropped the care-free tomboy and adopted the persona she needed to fit in with the popular crowd. Eventually her mother remarried and she ended up with a step-sister, and Cassidy hasn't seen her real dad since her parents split years ago.
