Korolee's Story

Nightfur felt a jabbing sensation inside her a Zuri spoke, and was almost ready to pounce, but before she could even growl, her father stepped forward, his own tail brushing along Zuri. Jenna was reminded of a tango as they moved together. Snowpaw looked at Zuri with a calm expression, but Nightfur knew the look in his eyes right now. "Zuri, you seem to be under the delusion that we are lakes, because you appear to be talking about yourself." Jenna wanted to hiss and say various phrases such as, OOH SNAP, but knew that this was not the time for jokes and messing around. Snowpaw wasn't finished. "But you know what lakes have Zuri?" They have brooks and creeks, rivers and streams, puddles and waterfalls. Lakes have families Zuri, but if I'm correct, one of your brooks dried up just last week." Seeing Zuri's puzzled expression, he smirked. "Oh you don't know what I'm saying do you? You really have no concept of family." Snowpaw saw she was slowly starting to understand. "Kioni, am I right in saying that the alpha of River Clan died just last week?"

He looked back at Kioni, keeping his tail in contact with Zuri's. Kioni nodded solemnly, and Snowpaw turned back towards Zuri, who's face was in an expression of disbelief and shock. Her lips were thin, and her eyes were wide. "Such a shame..." Snowpaw leaned in towards her ear and whispered. "Here's a message he'd want you to have." Before Zuri or anyone else could do anything, Snowpaw swiped upwards with his paw, his claws outstretched as far as they could go, hitting under Zuri's chin, and scraping up across her face, scratching across her eye that she managed to close before Snowpaw reached it. Snowpaw dodged out of reach of an attack, and dashed to the other side of the clearing. Nightfur started to run towards Zuri and her father. "DAD!" Zuri leaped high, heading straight for Snowpaw. But at the pinnacle of her jump, an orange blur hurtled into the white cat, knocking her off her path and sprawling into the autumn leaves and dirt, and pinned her down. "Mon dieu tu es la plus grande chienne que j'ai jamais connu." Fille bared her teeth at the white cat's scratched face as she kept her in extreme discomfort.

Fille had pinned Zuri down on her back, her back paws on her belly and her front paws on her shoulders. "Zuri. The acclaimed murderer and queen bitch of the forest." She outstretched her claws slightly, letting the tips dig in to her shoulders and belly. "I have only heard stories of you, I've only heard the wails of parentless families, and I've only met one child of this family, and I can already tell that just one of them is ten times the cat you are." Fille moved one back paws on to the hip joint of a leg Zuri was moving, causing Zuri to yelp. "My name is Fille Rusee, you killed my parents, prepare to die..." Fille acted as if she was going to raise her paws off of Zuri, but instead leaned in closer. "Congratulations on rejection." And all the cats and surrounded them, looking down on Zuri with rage and hate, forming a tight circle around her. And with that, Fille spat on Zuri's wound.

Zuri was surprised, angry, sad, furious, and in pain all at once, both her mind and body told her to run. And she did. But not before stopping to speak on last sentence. "You'll pay for this Kioni..." She hissed, and the look in her eyes was one of pure hatred and truth, she would get back at them. And kioni didnt like the sound of it.


As soon as zuri was out of sight Orchid rushed to her father, burrying herself in his fur. Kioni almost fell over from the force of his daughter rushing into him and let out an "oof". Kioni smiled and hugged his daughter. "Its okay sweetie shes not coming back for a while. Orchid smiled up at him then went to hugging her mom. "Youre not ugly mom, dont listen to her." She said as she purred into her mother fur. Suddenly she poked her head out, looking at Korolee. "I dont look like a rat do i!?" She asked rather loudly. Orchid thought she was at least a little pretty. She then turned to the Orange cat. "Whos that!? Why is she so pretty?" Orchid asked with wide eyes. Her mind kept running as she looked all around.


Jack got down from the tree after Orchid did, sitting at the opposite side of the clearing from jenna, thinking she was still very mad at him. He shifted into his usual cat form once again, letting out a sigh and cleaning part of his paw off. Not wanting to have to confront Jenna at the moment.

Misty launched himself into Nightfur, knocking her back a bit. She laughed and licked her son's head between his ears before Misty and Orchid swapped around, and Nightfur was embracing Orchid tightly, glad to have such a marvelous family "You don't look like a rat at all sweetie, why else would we name you after a flower?". Korolee stood back in the shade of the pine tree, watchign as an entire family rejoiced. He hadn't even known he had had a grandfather, and now he was dead. Orchid raised a good quesiont however. Who was this mysterious young cat, and why was she here? "Yes, who are you?" Fille turned around, and looked at Nightfur and Kioni through lowered lashes. "Someone." Fille was about to use her power to make the cats and human forget about her so she could follow her parents' murderer when Misty interrupted."She's Fille Rusée, we just met when Grandfather and I went for a walk." Misty smirked at Fille who glared back. Nightfur looked sideways at Kioni with a smirk of her own. She looked back towards Fille, and lowered herself into a bow."I want to thank you Fille, for saving my father's life and ours, and I am truly sorry for your loss. Please, have a meal with us in return for your help." Nightfur rose herself and raised a brow at Kioni to make sure this was okay, but was probably going insist on it whatever the two of them said. "It's the least we could do after you saved our lives." Snowpaw nodded, and bowed himself and then rose again. Jenna watched this all with her hands on her hips. "Is it often your family is saved by complete strangers?!"

Jenna and Nightfur nodded, and started to head off. Korolee walked with Orchid, mulling things over in his head. Meanwhile, at the back of the group, Misty was smirking at Fille, who was glowering back. "If your family wasn't here, Your innards would be in pieces across the forest right now." Misty stood up. "I'm sure they would be." He flicked his tail towards her. "Come on, we've got to have some dinner." Fille grumbled in french, considering whether to leave now or just go. She sighed, and stood up, walking smoothly yet quickly towards Misty and his family, her tail drooping slightly. She could have chased Zuri, but knew now there wasn't much point, she would probably get killed or hurt, and Nightfur had to repay her somehow. Misty followed close behind her, small compared to her bigger size. She was almost the size of Kioni, and you could barely tell she was a teen as she walked between Misty's parents. Misty watched her amber eyes look around, as if she still thought she was in danger. She was in fact, checking around her, her time spent as a rogue had had an effect on her, causing her to be ultra wary of her surroundings. Nightfur smiled up at the slightly taller cat. "So, have you got a family of your own to look after?" Fille's eyes widened in shock, and she looked down at Nightfur. "I'm a teen!" Nightfur's own icy blue eyes widened, and she looked forward, embarrassed. "Oh..." She cleared her throat, but then as she did so, she felt something rush up from in her stomach.

Nightfur rushed off the path, and went behind a tree. The group heard her being ill, and winced. As she came back they carried on, Misty offering a plant to chew on that would sooth the stomach. Snowpaw looked proudly at his grandson. Nightfur walked quickly forward as she chewed on the plant, trying to get to the cave as soon as possible. Jenna walked in the gap Nightfur had left, between Fille and Jack. She looked down at the ginger cat. "Bonjour, je suis Jenna Davis. Ravi de vous rencontrer. Je ne savais pas que les chats pouvaient parler français." Fille looked up at her in surprise. "Non seulement je peux comprendre que vous parlant anglais, mais vous parlez français aussi?!" Jenna smiled. "Oui, j'ai appris le français à l'école, et les humains peuvent avoir des pouvoirs trop parfois, il semble." Fille felt something twitch at her lips. And for the first time in years, Fille smiled. "We're here!" Jenna grinned, and she skipped towards the path. She walked carefully up the steep path, and entered the cave. Her and Nightfur were the first ones in. They set out fish and mice, one for everyone, except Jenna didn't have a mouse. As everyone sat down, Nightfur beckoned Snowpaw over to an alcove. Misty was puzzled as he watched his grandfather place a paw on his mother's belly, before muttering something to her. They both returned to where everyone was sitting. Nightfur whispered in Kioni's ear, and his face lit up. Nightfur cleared her throat and stood. "Everyone, before we start eating, I would like to thank Fille, and invite her to join our clan, as her smarts and bravery are the things we need for this clan." Fille was surprised, and nodded numbly, in slight shock for wanting to be... Accepted. Nightfur smiled. "And, I've got some news too." She closed her eyes, and let it out. "We're gonna have a baby girl."

Kioni knew what was up when Nightfur vomited behind a tree, and he was super happy too, He didnt show it though to maintain the secret till they got back. He did however intertwine him and his wives tails too comfort her after she got sick. When Nightfur finally told him he let out all that pent up happiness and his face lit up brightly. His face turned into a huge grin when he heard about it being another girl. " I wonder who she'll look like. Hopefully she'll be just as beautiful as her mom. Who am i kidding she'll be just as beautiful as Misty and Orchid." Kioni smiled.

Orchid jumped all around upon hearing the news "IM GETTING A SISTER!? Omg we can play together and go on adventures, and style eachothers fur! And misty can teach her all of the smart things he knows! And she'll be the perfect little sister!" She exclaimed as she bounced around the cave happily. "And we have a new clan member!....Right Fille?" Orchid said, putting her ears back, widening her eyes and pouting her lip, making the saddest and cutest face she could. "Right..?"


Jack was the last to enter the cave, he congratulated the family on the new kit and plopped down, half exhausted. Without noticing Jack turned back into a full blown human. Right in front of everyone. Kionis eyes got wide for a second, then went back to normal. "You humans sure are weird, you know that right?" He said smirking at 'FlameTail'. "What? Oh....Shit...Sorry for tricking everyone...I just wanted to be accepted and you wouldnt accept me as a human at first. I really am sorry for decieving you like that....Oh, by the way my names Jack.." He said, Awkwardly smiling, hoping theyd all forgive him. Well hoping that everyone except jenna would, Jenna probably wouldnt forgive him ever.

Misty couldn't help but grin at the news of a kit sister, and Snowpaw did too, their faces practically identical. Misty snickered at Orchid's reaction, her excitement lighting up the room. Fille smiled at Orchid's face, surprised again at the fact she was indeed smiling. "Perhaps." And just to please her, she leaned in and whispered in her ear. "And I could teach you a thing or two about fur grooming." She smirked but before anyone could say anything more Flametail was replaced by a blonde human boy named Jack apparently. Fille jumped to her feet, before realising there was no threat. Nightfur's eyes widened, and her lips quivered. She burst out laughing, rolling on the floor and banging her tail on the ground. Jenna looked at Nightfur rolling around, and started laughing as well. Nightfur looked up at Jenna "Did you-?" Jenna nodded, barely containing her laughter to reply. "Nearly the whole time!!" They both continued laughing, while Snowpaw and Misty examined Jack. "We've never seen a human male up close before." Misty said as he prodded Jack's side, trying to ignore his mother's laughter. "We've examined Jenna once or twice, but not a male. Are you much different?" Snowpaw asked, Jenna's purple haired head now on the ground behind him, crying with laughter. Fille watched the family, seeing Korolee sitting by himself. She scrunched up her nose and looked over at him. "This family is bizzare, no?" Korolee nodded, barely paying attention to anyone. He and his mother were probably going to have a long chat when he got home.

" i dont... Understand whats funny..." Jack said looking around at all of the cats and jenna. All of them were laughing. Jack decided to ignore it and answer Snowballs question. " Yes, im very different." Jack said, he flinched when Misty poked at his side. "Wah, that tickles stop that." He said chuckling a bit. Jack stretched, ending up flexing just about all of his muscles in the process, making himself look much bigger, then yawned and rubbed his eyes. He was glad to be in the cave where it was warm and safe from the wind, otherwise he'd be freezing his butt off.

Orchid bounced over to Jack for just a minute, not really too interested in his different male body then bounced back to korolee, nuzzling him into a nice warm snuggle. She was happy to be close to him and honestly a little jealous that the other cat was near him. She let her tail swish back and forth as she purred, her head leaning on korolees shoulder comfortably. "Do you wanna stay over? Its dangerous with zui out there.." She said quietly so her dad didnt hear.

Misty and Snowpaw stopped examining Jack, and instead smiled. "Humans are very strange." Misty said, and Snowpaw nodded in agreement. Nightfur and Jenna stopped laughing, Jenna wiped a tear away. She smiled at Nightfur. "We humans have this thing we call a hifive, you wanna try it?" Nightfur nodded, puzzled yet intrigued. Jenna held up a hand, and slowly, Nightfur put her paw on her palm. "Now what?" Jenna smiled. "Do it faster" Nightfur did so, and as her paw hit Jenna's hand, she smiled. "That was... Oddly satisfying..." She did it again, grinning. Misty wanted to try it, and he hi-fived his mother. He smiled. "Jenna, you should teach us more about human things." Jenna nodded, and pet Misty's head. "That sounds like a good idea." Korolee was surprised by the hug from Orchid, but accepted it slowly, careful not to let what happened last time happen again. He considered the offering of a night in the cave. "Okay, I'll stay for the night." Korolee didn't want to go home just yet. Jenna saw Jack yawning, and it spread to her and the other cats. "We'd best hit the hay then." Misty was puzzled as to why you would hit dried grass, but forgot about it, deciding to sleep rather than puzzle over it. He walked over to his bed, but before hopping in, he pulled out an extra pile of soft things they kept around. Nightfur pulled out several more, and combined lots of blankets they'd scavenged and feathers and things to make a larger bed. "I'm sorry Jenna and Jack, but we don't have enough for individual human sized beds. You'll have to share." Jenna's eyes widened, remembering what had happened last time that had happened. She sighed and climbed into bed. "I'll bring you all some bed stuff tomorrow..." She yawned and pulled her jacket off, using it as a blanket. Everyone climbed into bed, Orchid, Misty and Korolee sharing a bed, while Snowpaw slept in a softened alcove. Nightfur and Kioni lay like Sphinxes, Nightfur's bell collar laying around her paws. She always kept it in her bed, and Kioni's wing feather was stuck into the ribbon's material, the collar acting as a sign of being the Alphas of Cave Clan. Fille padded over, and bowed. "I shall retire to my own bed now, my alphas." And as Nightfur smiled upon the new clan member, the full moon rose and its bright light fell across the new Cave Clan.

Kioni looked around after jenna got there with a 'Scarf' and whatever this chicken stuff was. It smelled pretty good though. Kioni nodded a hello to jenna then look at her face, she was avoiding eye contact with the human boy, jack. Kioni didnt understand, cats looked each other in the eye almost all the time. He didnt know why she would be avoiding the young male, he was nice enough. Though he didnt seem to eager to talk to her either, and he almost always looked rather sad, only smiling when someone talked directly to him, and even then the smiles looked force. "Im sorry to be nosey, but whats up with you two?" Kioni asked, turning back to lick his wifes ear, he knew it was almost time for the kit to be born because she didnt feel too well and had been sleeping a lot.

Orchid waltzed into the cave shortly after her brother, She had grown into a very beautiful young cat, her fur was silky, her eyes always sparkled and her body was in perfect condition. Boys from the River and Woodland clan often tried talking to her now that she looked more like an adult. Orchid for some reason found no interest in any of them. "Hey, look what i figured out how to do" She said as the earth around the entrance of the cave closed up , blocking any wind from entering the cave. It wasnt dark though because the fireflied kept the cave glowing. Orchid was proud of her self, this way during blizzards they could completely block out the freezing wind. She opened the cave entrance back up. "Can i go get Korolee?" She asked, already heading towards the secret exit.

Jack realized that jenna was avoiding him still and brought his knees up to his chest. He didnt like that they werent friends anymore but she wouldnt listen to him, it was obvious that jenna was still very mad. Jack sighed and buried his face in his knees, he didnt hear kioni speak, his mind was busy playing back what he remembered of the last night that they were friends.

"You ARE ready!" A fluffy white cat stalked in circles around a young brown and white cat. He was smaller than an adult, yet he still managed to look handsome and charming enough to prove he wasn't too small to steal a lady cat's heart. "Nice... Very nice." Zuri walked around Korolee, her white tail slinking through the air as if it were a snake, and her eyes were viewing Korolee with the look you would see in the eyes of a very proud and menacing figure, which is exactly what she was. Korolee sat tall, looking forward, trying not to let any emotion show in his face as his mother examined him. "You have the same blackness in your heart as I do..." Korolee felt something try to tug at his lips, but neglected it, regarding it as nothing. "What is your destiny?" Korolee smirked, the only sign of emotion that showed on his face."To avenge my father and take over Cave Clan." Zuri laughed evilly. "Yes! What have I taught you?" The smirk disappeared, replaced by a scowl. "Kioni and Nightfur are the enemy!" Zuri came up next to him and whispered in his ear. "What must you do?"Korolee snarled and his entire expression changed. "I must kill them all!"

Korolee placed the large piece of bark over the entrance to his home and set out to the cave, his paws squishing the dead leaves beneath his feet as he walked. His tail perked behind him, and he tried to look happy in case some cat recognised him, but he doubted anyone would even see him. He pondered over many things in his head. One, he wondered about how long it had been since he'd seen Orchid, and realised it had been about 7 weeks. He shook his head, and saw he was near the Woodland clan camp. He saw a young cat gathering food. She saw him and giggled, waving her tail at him shyly. He smiled back, and headed on. What he didn't see was the younger cat scurrying off and talking with two other ladies, all of them squealing in excitement. He kept thinking. Two, his mother. He had grown far more attached to her, but as of late he'd started to feel something inside himself whenever he looked at her. He didn't know what it was, but he'd tried to ignore it. Third, his mother had told him two weeks ago something he'd barely been able to handle. What had happened to his father, and he'd gotten a different feeling whenever Cave Clan was mentioned. Korolee scowled and continued walking.

Nightfur smiled proudly at Orchid, her weary eyes looking towards her. "That's marvelous dear!" As Orchid headed towards the secret entrance in the glow of the fireflies, she stopped her. "Ah ah, leave through the main entrance! The secret way is only for emergencies, remember?" Nightfur reminded Orchid of the rule, then pointed towards the main entrance with her tail. "Go on." She smiled and wormed further under the large scarf covering her. Jenna responded to Kioni's question with surprise. "What are you talking about? Nothing's happened. Why would you say that?" She cleared her throat, looking down at her toes, and she pulled at the scarf on her neck, the golden fireflies flying around, a few settling in her purple hair like a crown. They had a habit of doing that for some reason. Misty smiled at Jenna, knowing it was clear something happened, and felt a cat sit down next to him. He looked at Fille, and gave her a quick smile. He then stroked his mother's face with his tail, and Fille felt something tug in her chest as she saw the sweet sign of affection.

Kioni couldnt help but chuckle at Jenna comment and jacks complete shutdown. He felt sorry for the young man, he looked like his heart had been crushed into a million pieces. Kioni understood how he felt since it was the same feeling he had when Hope died. Kioni decided just to leave the subject alone. He did however notice that Fille and Misty had gotten closer. That was good, maybe they'd fall in love. Kioni purred happily next to his wife. She must have been cold so he grabbed one of the blankets and dragged it over on her, then snuggled up in it with her.

Orchid listened to her mom and slinked out the front entrance of the cave and wandered of into the woods where she mostly leapt between trees and such, not being in too much of a hurry to find her friend, she knew he'd be around. They hadnt seen each other in a while and she kinda wondered if he had changed as much as her brother did. She neared the usual meeting place and found a patch of grass that was warm from the sun. Orchid sprawled out, her fur shining in the sun and layed there sun bathing on her back, waiting to see if her friend Korolee would show up, she'd look for him if her didn't.

Korolee was nearly at their usual meeting place, but didn't mean to head there until he saw a tail go into the clearing. He frowned. The tail was familiar, yet strange to him. He decided to follow the tail stealthily, to satisfy his curiosity. Orchid could wait. He climbed up a tree, and observed the clearing. He saw a young female cat sprawled on the grass, white belly up, her face in an expression of bliss as she basked in the sun. He felt his heart beat faster as she stretched out further, and felt heat rush to his face. She was beautiful, her shiny spotted coat shone in the sun, and her eyes opened every once in a while, showing their baby blue hues. He gazed in awe at this cat, fascinated by her for some strange reason. Korolee realised what he was doing, and shook his head. He climbed higher up the tree so as not to be seen by this new cat, and lay on a branch overlooking the clearing. Almost as soon as he'd settled down in the shadows of the upper branches of the tree, another cat came into the clearing.

Heatchest crouched by a pond, admiring his reflection. He smiled charmingly at his blonde furred reflection, and blew a kiss to himself. He groomed himself before starting to head off, his flame coloured chest chuffed out proudly as he sauntered towards his destination. His destination in fact, was the Cave Clan cave. He went there regularly to watch a certain cat there that caught his eye. She was really attractive, and with him being, quite frankly, the biggest heartthrob in Woodland Clan, he thought they made a perfect match. Her power was earth, and his was leaves. They were a match made in heaven in his mind. He winked at a few female cats the happened to pass him, and they all sighed in return, their hearts aflutter at being noticed by him. He wasn't truly interested in them though. As he neared his spying spot, he saw the cat, Orchid, pass him. He grinned, and followed her discreetly. He watched as she lay on the grass, belly up, showing off her slim body. He whistled softly as she stretched out, admiring her lack or curves. Damn... Now's your perfect opportunity Heaty.. He put on a charming grin and smoothly walked up to the rock next to Orchid. He looked down at her with rusty red eyes. "Hey. How you going? I'm Heatchest. You must be the beauty Orchid." He smiled at her, his slightly fluffy tail swimming through the air behind him, as Korolee watched from his tree with curiosity, his heart still puzzlingly racing.

Orchid was peacefully resting till some random blonde cat came up and introduced himself. "I am indeed Orchid...Its nice to meet you too i suppose." Orchid said, not too interested in talking to the male cat. Sure he was handsome enough, but she wasnt looking for a mate, and wouldnt be any time soon. She got back up, sitting perfectly straight, not making eye contacts or even really looking at him, She knew what he was after, and she wasnt going to have any part in it.


Orchid licked her paw, a bored expression on her face, yet her eyes shown a sparkle of thoughts and dreams running through her mind. She shifted just slightly and the light from the sun once again lit up her fur, making her unique spots pop and her eyes shine even brighter. " So, what was it that you wanted? One doesnt usually follow someone just to say a simple hello."Orchid said, her eyes looking at the slowly darkening clouds above, that had now temporarily blocked out the sun where she was sitting. She shivered a bit, but then got a chill down her spine and she shivering stopped almost completely. She waited for an answer, almost sure she'd have to say no to something.

Heatchest felt a little prick in his heart as he detected the disinterested tone in her voice, but thought nothing of it. He was determined. He smirked in a surprisingly handsome way and leaned forward, his head hanging off the edge of the rock. "I'm Heatchest, Apprentice of the Woodland Guard Captain. One of the best guards out there if I do say so myself." He licked his paw, and looked at Orchid through inquisitive eyes. "Oh, you know, I wanted to know a bit about what Cave Clan's like, and how you keep your coat so shiny! Seriously it's astonishingly well kept." Heatchest knew most girls liked cats complimenting their grooming skills. "Why don't you come up here? It's much warmer." He stroked the rock beside him. Not too close to him, Orchid seemed to be playing the cold shoulder, which was strange considering how she acted at home. In his tree, Korolee's eyes widened when he heard the name Orchid, and he stared at Orchid even more. Orchid had certainly... Changed. He felt a tingly feeling through his body and struggled not to make some sort of funny noise. He scratched the branch to keep him occupied, and to prepare for anything that might happen, but still kept his eye on the conversation below.

Orchid was only half listening, she wasnt interested in the least bit, she was only talking to this male cat to be polite. "Life in my clan is like life in the other clans, just with the best qualities of both. My fur is this shiny due to genetics and the combined grooming of myself and my family." She said, just barely looking at him from the corner of her eye. " Im sorry but i dont jump up on rocks with cats i dont know. If you have any other questions about the clan ask my father, the alpha male of our clan. He will be able to answer any question you have. Its not safe to be asking me." She said walking around the rock and jumping up into a nearby tree, stepping on the branches lightly. "i'll assume you know where the cave is. Im going home now......Korolee, C'mon we've got catching up to do today" She said, continuing to walk amongst the trees, flashing Korolee a smile when she spoke to him. He had changed a lot, he certainly looked a lot different but orchid would never forget that face, ever. He was getting quite handsome, and much bigger, almost bigger than she was. Hopefully not stronger though, she loved winning the pinning wars.

Korolee's face was soon covered in an expression of shock and slight embarrassment. "What? How did you-?" He saw the silly grin slapped on his friend's face, and he smiled for the first time in a while. He hopped to her tree, landing gracefully on the branch. His fur caught the light as the ever moving shadows of the canopy let light onto his body. He quickly rubbed his muzzle against Orchid's shoulder before grabbing her tail with his and gently but quickly alighting back down on the forest floor. "It's easier to keep up with each other on the forest floor, and I haven't seen you in ages! I'm surprised I'm still count as a friend." He laughed and started to head off to the cave with Orchid. Heatchest looked at Korolee in jealousy, and felt crushed until he heard the word friend. If they were friends, then Orchid would realise Heat's looks were far superior to this Korolee's, and they would finally be together. He got up and followed them, staying next to Orchid, but not too close. "Hey, I might as well come with you right?" He grinned cheekily as the three of them walked through the wintery forest together. Little did they know, was that the first snowfall of the season was nearly upon them.

Orchid didnt like the fact that this male cat was acting so familiar with her, even though they just met. When he came up next to her she quickly walked up past Korolee, brushing her tail along his chin then slowing down to walk at his side, rather close. Well why couldnt she, they were friends after all, though most of the reason was to try and repel the blonde cat. She didnt understand, the other male cats gave up when she gave them the could shoulder. Why wouldnt this Heatchest guy give up too?

Orchid neared the main entrance to her home, the cave, and walked in. "We have a guest from the woodland clan. I suppose he has to ask you about our clan, and for some...odd...reason, my fur." She said. It was obvious to everyone how annoyed she was by this 'heat chest' guy and his refusal to give up on her. Orchid sat down next to her mother, beckoning Korolee to sit next to her. Once he did she let their tails intwine and purred contently.

Korolee felt tingles run through his body at the feeling of Orchid's tail under his chin, and assumed it was just a ticklish spot she'd found, not suspecting it was something else. He saw the cave up on the high ledge, and smiled softly at the sight of it. For some reason, this place felt more like home than home did. Heatchest saw the cave, and all the stories of it's residents and their stories, the stories of the events that had happened there, they all raced through his mind as he finally saw it. His blonde fur fluttered in the chill breeze as they climbed the path to the cave mouth. He entered, and immediately bowed to the alphas. "I am Heatchest, apprentice of the chief guard of the Woodland clan, son of Longheart and Icetail. I am honoured to visit your presence." He went all out, being as polite as possible, getting on Orchid's family's good side. Nightfur looked at him slightly puzzledly, and raised her eyebrows at the mention of two of the most powerful cats in Woodclan. She looked at Kioni with an eyebrow raised. Heat sat up, and saw Jenna and Jack. He leaped to his feet, his back arched and his fur stood on end. He hissed. "Stay back!!" Jenna and Jack just looked at him nonchalantly and Jenna smirked. "Sit down, you don't want your back freezing in that position." Heat's jaw dropped and his body relaxed as jenna spoke. "You-!" Nightfur looked towards Orchid with a smile. "Speaking of freezing, do close that block back up dear, it's letting in a draft." As Orchid closed the cave up again, Korolee felt her tail grow slightly hotter against his, but it might have just been his subconscious reacting to the magical activity of someone he held dear. Heat sat still and straight, staring blankly at the cave wall. Misty and Fille held back a snicker at his various reactions to their regular life.

Orchid smirked at the new guy. "What? Youve never talked to a human before?" She asked with a slight giggle. This always freaked new cats out. But it was perfectly normal for the cave clan. Orchid held kionis tail to hers closer, happy to be back together with her best friend. She wondered if he had noticed how much she had changed, not that it mattered, every kit changes.


Kioni sat up straight, and very intimidatingly glared at the young blonde cat, the cat didnt seem to flinch at all though, he did however bow. It was a sign of strength and respect. "Well, young one, what would you like to know about our clan? Well other than my daughters grooming habits of course. Have you got a message to deliver from your parents, or are you here for, other, reasons?" He asked, glancing at his daughter. He had experienced other male cats around Orchids age coming up to him and asking for her paw in Mateship. Kioni always explained that Orchid would choose a mate for herself and that he wasnt going to force her into an unwanted courtship. He wasnt sure of the blonde cats motives, but he wasnt too suspicious, the cat had well known parents. Good parents that kioni had the chance to speak to a few times. So he wasnt worried.

Jack continued to hug his knees being very quiet, only looking up to see a new cat come in, he switched to cat mode so he wasnt taking up as much space anymore and curled up in the corner, not really facing most of them, but rather facing the cave wall.

Heat recovered his senses and looked towards Kioni again. He smiled, trying to forget that there was a human that could speak to cats and a human that could change into one sitting in the same cave as him. "I was complimenting Orchid's fur yes, it's very well kept. I sometimes say awkward things." He chuckled nervously. "But what I really came to ask was what your guarding systems are like. My master says I should learn guarding techniques from other clans to be the best possible clan guard captain I can." Heat sat up proudly, and Nightfur thought about Heat as he talked. Heat seemed to be nice enough, and he apparently was smart and strong enough to be the future captain of the Woodclan guard, but there was something else he was here for. Nightfur noticed the sideways glances at her daughter and her eyes narrowed. Learning my paw, she thought. Nightfur sighed and wriggled further under the scarf, enjoying the comfort. She felt Kioni unfurl a wing and wrap it around her, and she immediately felt far safer and more secure.

Jenna was admiring the fireflies floating through the cave, a crown of them still settled in her hair. She enjoyed their gentle whispers in her ear, and one small one in particular had settled right above her ear, and told her stories of the firefly flock and its own adventures. She was in the middle of hearing about the firefly's antics in trying to look after a firefly larva, when she saw Jack curled in the corner. He looked cold, so she crawled over to him. She unwrapped the scarf that was still on her neck and lay it on top of him, and before he could say anything she was already sitting on the other side of the cave listening to the hum of fireflies.

Misty sat near the secret entrance, Fille sat nearby. He said nothing, just sitting still and occasionally gnawing on a piece of the chicken Jenna had brought. It was strange, but tasted nice at the same time. He was nearly finished with his piece when he felt something hit him in the back of the head. He cursed under his breath, and stroked the spot that had been hurt with his tail as he looked behind him. He saw and smelt the message Snowpaw had sent through the trees and nodded to himself. He looked over to his mother. "Grandfather can't visit tonight, he's got a cat with a particularly annoying bone break. Her name's Flasheye, ring any bells?" Nightfur shook her head, but Heatchest jumped to his feet. "My sister! Sorry, but I have to go see if she's okay." He rushed towards the door and Orchid opened a little spot for him to dash through before closing it again.
