OOC: Naww Sissi! It's a great post :D
Kenta Ichiyou was late.
That darn clock never rings properly anymore! He though irritated as he zipped up his coat. He was trying to multi-task getting dressed, eating, cleaning, and studying ALL AT THE SAME TIME. It was a wonder he wasn't half-dead already. Kenta rushed hurridly around continuosly glanncing at the clock. the hand didn't seem to be moving. Kenta blinked and realized.
WHAT! It's broken?!? He couldn't believe it... Yes the clock was ancient, having belonged to his Grandfather and is father before him but He loved that clock, it was ...Oh! He didn't have anytime. Kenta tossed the clock onto his not-so-well made bed and dashed out the door slamming it shut. His bag caught in the door which he relized when he attempted to walk and promptly was choked.
Kenta gagged and turned to detach himself from the monster. With a frustrated sigh, the school boy re-closed the door this time making sure he was free and locked it. He then turned to the hallway and exited the building in a frenzy. He had no idea what time it was or for the matter how late he was. Tossing the thought aside he continued up the street towards his first job.
God, If you exist please don't let me be fired he thought pushing open the door and walking into the shop.
Takashi smiled at the group around him. tiny faces, alight with excitement stared back at him. Today Takashi was giving a speech to the children of the Angel Society. Takashi was a full fleged Angel and one of the best the Angel Society had ever seen. A mere smile from him could light a million homes for a lifetime. Imagine what more he could do. Takashi loved talking to the children, although he couldn't remember being one he could imagine that he was probably as filled with wonder as them.
He brushed a hand through his sandy colored hair and smiled once more
"Any questions?" He asked. Instantly a thousand tiny hands went up as the eager Angel children bounced in their seats to be able to ask first.
Takashi chuckled a bit at their reaction and chose a little girl in the first row.
"Can...CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH TOHAMI-SAMA?!?" The girl blurted out.
Takashi blinked once in surprise, that was not a question he had expected.
"Please call me Takashi, no need for formalities" He replied ever smiling.
The little Angel girl sat back down blushing, with no objection to her unanswered question.
At once there was an uproar, all of the children asking if they were allowed to use the name too. Takashi laughed
" Alright, Alright does anyone have a question related to the Angel Exams?" He asked.
The group settled down looking around at eachother with confused faces.
Was anyone paying attention Takashi thought.
"Excuse me, Tohami-san?" A voice said behind him.
Takashi turned to the speaker recognizing a Messenger Angel, one clothed in the royals servants clothing.
A messenger from the Elders? for me? Takashi thought.
What could it be His expression remained calm
"Why Hello there ^^" He smiled softly
"What brings an official such as yourself out here to these parts, other than the fine day we're having?" The Messenger blinked and nervously adjusted his robes. Just a size too big for him.
"Uh yes... It's about" He looked up "Your student"
"Student?" Takashi asked looking around at the children who were now playing with a harp.
"not one of them" the Messenger said softly "I'm talking about 'Your' student" He explained stressing the word. He fumbled with his papers "Er.."
"SATOSHI!?" Takashi asked his voice louder than expected. He faced the children to see if anyone noticed then turned back
"What's wrong is he hurt? sick? in danger?""Oh its nothing like that.. you see...uh...how do I put this he well"
Takashi waited patiently. Patience was something he always possesed. The Messenger sifted through his papers his hand staying on one. Takashi got it.
"May I see that sheet?" He asked flashing another smile.
the power in it washed over the stumbling messenger. The messenger looked up with wide eyes
pleading "not here" Takashi led the Messenger to a secluded spot away from the children.
"HE FAILED THE ANGEL EXAM!!!!" The Messenger shouted in a whisper but it was loud enough for Takashi.
"What? Takashi couldn't believe it he reached out grabbing the MEssengers shoulders
Not that not EVER that! "Where is he? Do you know? The starteld Angel looked over his papers
"oh it says here he is to be having a council with the elders about it" he stuttered.
"Where? When? Takashi futher inquired.
Failing the exam can only mean one thing. "I I...i'm not sure, probably the council room, sometime soon. the paper doesn't tell me anymore I just wanted to tell you because how amazing you are and all...."
the MEssenger cut off. Takashi realized he had been shaking him and droppped his arms
"Thank you for the information I greatly appreciate it He said calmly. The MEssenger smiled and rushed off. Takashi leaned against a tree
How could this happen he was such a good boy he thought staring into the sky that didn't seem to be such a gorgeous day anymore.
It was a terrible thing for an Angel to fail their exam because the only way you could was if ... You were evil.
Soft footsteps fell upon the dusty ground. A world so dark you could never believe there was ever light there. Even the word couldn't have existed. Emptiness echoed the silence all around, the place was deserted. Lonely, forgotten and betryed. Just how it liked it. The footsteps sounded odd as if they didn't fit in, they were a disturbance to the eerie quietness. But also, the foot steps showed joy, something unheard of here. A sudden flash of white broke through the darkness. The hem of a dress. the girl wearing the dress was the one running, hopping, skipping, playing.
All things that disgusted the "people" who lived there. Something had to be done about it. But how? What? She was an annomally this girl. A demon in-training,
"Sanni!" A voice called her name. The footsteps stopped as the girl froze and looked around the darkness. No one was there but she could clearly hear her name having been said. She tilted her head her shimmery blue hair spilling over her shoulder as she tried desperately to peer into the darkness.
"Uhm... Who's there" She called with an edge of nervousness. She waited there was no reply. Blinking twice she shrugged and took a step. Then froze again, something... or someone was behind her. Sanni bit her pale lip, the nervousness branching into fear. She didn't know what to do. Her hesitation asn't the right choice, seconds later she felt herself falling and a darkness washed over her different than the one all around.
.....
Sanni opened her eyes blinking once or twice before realizing she wassn't in any place she recognized. She sat up glancing around and gasped A cold hard floor...misty deathly air...dark lights of haunting faces... this could only be one place...But why why was she here? She pushed herself to her feet listening closely. Was it a dream? or was someone here/ A million questions attacked her mind.
And then out of Nowhere
SLAM!Sanni instantly lost her balance falling back onto the cold floor in shock staring up and around her blue hair flying wildly searching for the cuase of the noise.A single blue flame is lit. Her eyes grew wide with horror
i...i I'm so- Sanni began
"ENOUGH!!!!!!" a voice thunders from above her. Sanni flinched frozen in her spot as more candles of blue flame were lit.
"SANNI MIIKAMI YOU HAVE FAILED YOURE DEMON ENTRANCE EXAM ALL YOU CAN SAY IS SORRY!" the voices above spoke in unison
The frightened demon in training girl went silent. "YOUR PUNISHMENT YOU ARE SENTENCED TO EARTH FOR ETERNITY!"
"Please no! >.<" Sanni squeaked instantly shocked at herself she gasped clapping her hands over her mouth. Earth? there were such terrible stories about it.
My exam? I failed but how? I mean I tried so hard...but [i] Sanni's thoughts raced as the Demon Elders named off her offences. [i] but those are nice things. Why am i being punished for being nice nothing was making sense it was all too much for her. she looked down and realized a dark circle forming beneath her
"NOW GO!" the Elders shouted. Sanni jumped up trying to escape the increasing void beneath her. But the feat didn't seem possible for every where she went the circle was sure to follow. and she was sinking into it.
"NO WAIT! PLEASE GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE!!The elders laughed darkly. "Another chance? you would never pass. Didn't you realize you don't belong here maybe earth is better for you!" One called to her. Sanni began to cry trying to get out of the void and failing. Echoing
"Please...please...please""her crying is getting annoying"
"nt to worry it will all be over soon"
"should her teacher be punished as well?"
"Nirane? I wouldn't think of it she's as bad as they get"
"then how could one she mentored fail... and so 'wonderfully'?"
"guess theres always one good apple in the bunch"
SAnni was fading barely seeing the room anymore
"Please, please don't do this to me" She called out weakly again
"she speaks like an Angel. She'll be the laughing stock of us all on Earth"
"I have another option"
"What?"
the demons whispered together. the sound of it menacing to the slowly sinking girl.
then suddenly the sinking stopped. Sanni couldn't believe it
no way? did they do something nice?[/b]"SANNI! We have another option for you!" Sanni was still in shock.
"You may retake your exam ONLY if you can find one demon to go with you"
"go?" Sanni silently questioned.
"To Earth you innocent Idiot!"
"If you pass you may return here"
Sannis face lit up and she found her words
"REALLY!"the council was quiet. "yes" and the coucil scene evaporated.
Who would go to Earth here? There were terrifying stories about it and how humans would not take kindly to their kind. But Sanni had to choose quick
closing her eyes she thought.
My exam...my mentor ..Nirane
