"Well I would say that would be boy number three, but forgiving him probably isn't an option at this point. He ruined my brothers life!"Romegio because he refused to listen to her and instead hit her brother with a wrench, hospitalizing him for the rest of his life.
Appearance:
"Use your eyes stupid." Kalani has a native american look about her. She is the owner of a tall slim body with girlish curves, though she could never be described as hippy or busty. She stands at a height of 5'8" and her skin holds a natural sun tanned complexion. The bridge of her nose and along her cheekbones are dotted with soft freckles that add to the suggestion that she's always in the sun. Her hair is jet black and lays naturally straight with soft curves to it. It is very thick and falls to the edges of her shoulder blades. Her eyes a a rich caramel honey color and aren't exceptionally bright or gorgeous, but hold a lot of thought and emotion in them. She has slim hands and a delicate face with pink lips and a small nose. Her eyes are rather large for her face and her features are like a book for she's horrible at hiding her emotions.
Personality:
"Well I don't exactly love bunnies and butterflies, but I'm not a devil worshiper either." Kalani isn't a complicated person. She likes to keep to herself, but finds it easy to make friends when she needs to. She's not shy but loves solitude. Kalani can be very social, always captivating people around her with how simple and defined she is. When she's angry, she's angry and it's obvious by the way she crinkles her eyebrows, tosses about sarcasm, and crosses her arms across her chest. When she's sad, she isn't afraid to cry, but hates doing it in front of other people, though you can always tell by one glance at her caramel colored eyes. When happy, she's social and loves to talk to anyone who'll just listen. She's not exceptionally smart, but she always has her own opinion and it's good enough for her. Every time you think you have Kalani figured out, she'll do something new. She likes to keep people on their toes about who she is and doesn't like to get super close to people. She's only ever had a few close friends in her lifetime. Though she's had a bad past, Kalani does her best to make the best of what she has, but often she unravels. She tries to keep herself together in a clean, fresh package, but a lot of times it's hard and while she may seem simple, social, and sweet on the outside, she's quiet, lonely, and hurt on the inside.
History:
"What is this? An interrogation?" Kalani grew up in an average family in her little town. She had a doting mother, a brilliant older brother, a sweet yellow puppy, and though her father was never home, these three made up for him. Buttercup was her puppy's name and he went with her everywhere. He was her best friend when she was little, but when she turned seven he died. The loss hurt her, but it didn't kill her. She just bit her lip and trudged on, and though her mother offered to buy her a new puppy, she ignored the request. Halfway through her eighth year, tragedy struck once more and her mother grew very ill. By this time her mother and father had divorced and when Kalani's mother died, she and her brother Jim were pulled out of their cozy home in the wealthy area and forced into a tiny hovel at the other end of town with a father they barely knew. Jim was always trying to get their father's attention with sports and school, always achieving A's and playing anything that involved a ball. He was brilliant and exceeded at everything. But their father never noticed and they grew increasingly poorer until, at 14, Kalani and Jim were once again taken out of their home and put in an orphanage. Being sweet kids with great grades and cute faces, they were taken up right away by a rich family and Kali's life once again took a back flip. She was no longer the poor, dirty girl that struggled to get by in school. The one no one wanted to talk to. As she entered high school, she became the one girls wanted to be. She wore the pretty cloths, had pretty hair, always had a boyfriend and a faithful circle of friends. All of this was a display for her new parents sake. They wanted her to be this way, and she didn't want to be pulled from another home so she quickly adapted. Her brother was popular as well with him as a football player and her as a volleyball player and cheerleader. Soon she fell in love with Romegio for he saw her differently. Not as the girl who had everything, but as the girl who had repeatedly lost everything and was trying so hard to keep it. When she met boy 1, she became confused and even though she was with Romegio, she agreed to go out with boy 1. They went on two dates, but on the second one, boy 1 kissed her and that is when Romegio caught them at a movie. She regrets ever going out with boy 1, but doesn't blame it on him. After he saw them, Kalani raced home and Romegio followed her, confronting her in her driveway. He screamed at her and she screamed back, and Jim, hearing the commotion came outside to defend her. When the fight became physical, Kalani fled into the house and when she came back out Jim was laying unconscious with a wrench next to his head and a baseball bat in his hand. From that day on the blow hospitalized her brother and he has horrible memory loss as well as extreme brain damage. A week after this event, Kalani got the letter and decided to treat herself to a vacation.
