It was early morning. The autumn air was chilly, the sun was slowly raising up and slight mist covered the ground. It would be cold day, the clouds covered the sky. Shena was in her backyard sparring like she did almost every morning. She stroke and sliced a wooden dummy that stood there with her spear. The were several other dummies, that were now pile of firewood, in one corner of her yard. Quickly she moved around it, her footwork was accurate, there was no missteps. Shena strike it again, slice of wood flew around the yard. And she would continue doing it until the sun was up.

Re' nura just woke up before sunlight's cruel spikes of lightray would blind him, he hated the sunlight right after waking up. Re' nura got up and did his morning chores just like every day. He took some leftover meat from previous day and went outside. "Yo Shena! Want some meat? I have some extra so we can share if you want!" Re' nura jumped over the fence that is between Shena's and Kastrar's houses, and lit little bit of firewood with pointing of a finger. "Ahh.. nothing beats meat in the morning!"

”Morning Re' nura, and sure” Shena answered and stroke her spear through the dummy. She then pulled it of and walked over him, leaning against fence. ”I might have more firewood than I even need” she said watching the pile. "Ye hahahah that is probably right! I could take some if you don't mind." Re' nura started to heat up the meat.

"Go ahead. And I'm going to hunting today. Do you want to come with me? Let's find out which one of us kills the bigger moose" Shena said smirking. She always liked challenge others. "Hahah I can come but I ain't gonna go for that challenge. We know how it's gonna end!" Re' nura laughed and shook his head.

After finishing their breakfast Shena and Re' nura headed to the Sylphies Pond. It was the biggest water source inside the forest and it wasn't rare to see animals drinking there. A good place to find a moose or two. Shena had her blue armor and spear like always. Some might wonder why she wore it all the time but the answer was simple. Like other Valkyries, Shena wasn't physially strong. The armour would protect her in case a pissed off moose, or in some cases even a boar, attacked on her. But most of the time, she was able to attck first. Re' nura was prepared with the usual rope with hood covering everything from head to toe but still giving nice space to move in.

While walking in the forest before they reached the bond started the wild-life come alive around them. There was a dwarf was heading towards them. He was a messenger sent by Caedmon. After he had told his message and headed back to the forest to find other paranormals, Shena glanced over Re' nura. ”Looks like humans have become more brave. Heading deeper and deeper in the forest. That's not good news.” Re' nura just shook his head and said with his deep voice "not good indeed."

Travis saw the shapeshifter stare in multiple directions, not too sure whether he saw Travis or not, but he completely lost interest in Travis and went on with his business in the forest. It had worked wonderfully, the shade of the night's coming was the perfect cover with his dark outfit. He sighed and looked to the bottom of the mossy ground and thought for a few moments. That was too close for comfort. I really have to watch myself in this forest from now on. He reached for the side of the tree and slid down it, holding on to the bark with his hands and knees. He reached the bottom and continued down the river, hoping to the make it to the town of Tivel before the sun completely shutdown itself.

He got to the lake of Divan and he stopped at the lake's edge and stared off the brim of the water. There were a multitude of animals, some that even stared off in his direction. But there was a character that certainly made it all odd to him. A dwarf, retreating into the woods. It didn't give him much attention, but it still was wondering back to wherever it came from. He then looked down to the opposing point of the river and saw two bodies. They were too far away to see a facial feature, but close enough to tell that they were there. Travis took this time to slowly back up into the bushes behind him, shrouding his appearance. Travis thought to himself for a couple moments. First a hellhound and now a group of another species.

He stared close and thought that one of them looked oddly familiar. He didn't know the magic user's name, but he got the appearance alright. He stared at him and knew that he had to be a Tiefling. Travis didn't think rashly, but he tried to slip through the leaves of the heavy brush, trying to get closer to the two by going around the lake, and use his surrondings as walls between him and their eyes.

After the dog jumped over Rayne, and headed for the human, she reckoned her job was done. Even if the stupid thing wasn't very liked in the community, she couldn't just let it die.

Rayne headed back to where she was originally going - to a small pond in the middle of the woods. She changed back, slowly, into her humanoid form, and dipped her feet in the cool water. She cupped a hand and dipped it into the pond water, frowned at the color, and sipped at it. It didn't taste too bad. There were noises in the trees ahead of her, and Rayne flattened her ears and sat on her tails - something that was not very comfortable.

Then she heard voices - two of them conversing. Confused, Rayne stood up, still trying to hide her tails and ears, and wandered towards the source of the noise. The leafy greens of the woods concealed her slightly, but not too much. She thought about switching into Fox form, but she was already tired and had shifted one too many times that day.

She parted the leaves slightly, and looked on to see a woman with dark grey wings, and long dark hair, and a man with red hair and a tail. Relaxing slightly, she let her tails unwrap themselves from her waist, and her ears stuck up. Still feeling skittish, however, Rayne refrained from showing herself - she would rather them spot her and greet her than having to go up to them and approach them.

Travis basically crawled my around the bushes and got to a certain point where he stopped and thought for a few moments. He needed to keep his distance until they began to leave. But, he eagerness of revenging his father almost begged for him to leave the bushes. He took step forward, but he knew if he came out now, this would all be for nothing. There was going to be plenty of times where he can jump the gun on someone. Don't be stupid, Travis, you're looking for evidence. He sat there staring at the the two when something caught his eyes.

There was a bit of rustling coming from the bush adjacent from where he started. It wasn't like something was going to come out of it or anything. But, it must have been a creature was just waiting there to see what would happen. Nothing made Travis more ticked than to see witnesses, forcing himself to make decisions. Travis didn't move out of the bushes to attack the creature, if it wants to follow, it'll have to be very observant. Disguise is one of the best qualities that Travis has to offer and he could be gone before anyone would notice. He then sat down, his body resting against the side of the tree he was nearest to. He got rhythm to his breathing before he started to drown out all the noises of the forest and only the conversation and actions of his targets. It was only a murmur from this distance, but it was the best he had. He waited for the two humanoids to move, ready to go along with them.

"Hmm.. what should we do?" asked Re' nura silently. "It's a good question. Do you want to go meet that dwarf? Some more information wouldn't hurt." Shena answered.

They started walking towards the pond to replenish their water supply and to look out what was going to be on menu that day. Shena was observing bushes further away from them. They moved a bit and it seemed there was some animal. It was too far away for Shena to tell exactly what it was, but it was smaller than moose for sure. Well, dinner was always a dinner.

As they were replenishing water supply Re'nura noticed a fox-girl with long black hair walking by the pond closer and closer. "Hmm.. look at there but act that you didn't notice" Re' nura kicked air in the way of approaching woman to signal where to find that mysterious humanoid seen. Shena glanced over the direction casually, like she would just thinking where to head next. Then she looked back to the bushes and took her spear in her hand casually leaning to it, just in case. She wanted to be ready if someone attacked.

Travis stared at the activity going on across the body of water and almost jumped whenever he saw the fox girl. He tilted his head, trying to comprehend where he must have seen the creature before. The black hair almost looked of the mane of the black horse who warned the Cerberus earlier. Realizing that it was the same thing, Travis gritted his teeth seeing the Valkryie coming closer. The casual looking around the area, the creature was playing it off as if she knows where to go next. Travis knew that this was the time to act.

Suddenly his armor shuttered once, twice, and then all of the person in the body became a translucent male. Time slowed as he quickly his dagger into his hand and slid out of the bushes. His crouching and worried stepping was slow at first, but he picked up pace just as the Valkyrie got there. Travis briefly slid behind the tree, holding his breath and gripping his dagger close to his chest. There wasn't anything more that Travis hated than to be found in his camouflage. These creatures were obviously much more attentive than of the average human, and for that, Travis didn't know them as well as a human. He might as sure as well die in this forest, but he's not going to go out like this. Travis, silky like a screen, ran into the forest at a quick pace, heading south bound as he sprinted.

Shena was leisurely walking towards the bushes but keeping an eye on them. ”Did they just move? Or was that wind?” she thought. When she was there, there was no one. But the grass had bent, when there had been weight on it so there definitely had been something.

Then she saw few footprints in the muddy ground. Many mythical creature had human form, but why they would hide from them? The footprints looked like humans. There was no mistake of it. Then Shena realized it. Those footprints were made by human. She gritted her teeth and revealed her dark gray, almost black, bird-like wings. Let no humans who sees you alive – that what it took to gain the ability to create army of death. And she was going to get that ability.

”Re'nura!” Shena shouted. ”I'm afraid that message from dwraves was true. I'm going after that who ever was observing us.” With that she turned around, rose up to the sky and flew away fast, trying to find any tracks of her enemy. ”You just made your biggest mistake.”

"Ohh well you know humans they like the knowledge, don't they?" Re' nura walked next to Shena and took a look at the bush too. "yup there sure have been someone lying there. Dammit, we are seen and that thing is running around in the forest of ours!" Re' ura sure disliked all and every human.
After little time of cooling down Re' nura asked frustrated "Well what now?", but Shena had just flown away up to the sky.
"ahh great now I'm talking to my self again". Re' nura sat down on ground and shrugged and finally laid on the ground looking to the sky. After while Re' nura jumped up realizing the girl was still walking by the river. "Hoi you there! don't worry i wont harm you, come here we might have problem and its important for everybody to know!"

Travis cringed at every footstep that he made in the marshy surface of the ground. There was a way to disguise his appearance but not his weight. Travis pushed passed trees, trying to find some sort of clearing as he saw the trees starting to lose their effect in cover. Soon enough he reached some sort of edge to all the vegetation, heard the sound of rubble being moved and the smell of exhaust. The scent burnt his nose but he noticed the familiar yellow cockpit of a backhoe loader. Travis had hit a construction site, or rather... a destruction sight. No wonder these creatures of the forest were so prejudice towards the human race. They were destroying their home! Travis almost felt like taking this opportunity to let his pursuer know what his real intentions are. He sat on the edge of the destroyed dirt and sat quietly, almost waiting for the strike in his back.

Knowing it was a bold and daring move, Travis disabled the invisibility on his suit and stared at the men at the lot. A few of the construction workers darted their heads towards the suddenly visible man and stopped whatever they were doing. He stared up at the Valkyrie and pointed towards the men with hard hats. His hazel eyes weren't filled with any fear or deep struggle, but they were glossed over and Travis practically told the flying humanoid that she'd better be wary of her actions. He kept his mask on and turned his head to the men, waving his hand a few times. Even more people paid attention towards the mysterious fellow dressed strangely. But Travis didn't care at this point. He'd been at this for years. It was only a matter of time before he would suffer the strike of death. So, with this thought running through his mind, he waited.

Shena was flying as fast as she could. Where was they? She saw a footprint here and there, but why she didn't seen the human who had been observing them? Invisibility? No, it couldn't be. We were talking about human here. Shena speed up some more, holding the spear in her hand tightly.

Suddenly he appeared in front of her at the edge of clearing. Now, now was her chance. She was already prepared to send her spear in his back when he pointed at something. Shena looked that way and quickly dropped down landing in a tree. She cursed a little. Who it was possible she hadn't seem them? "You idiot! What if they saw you? Then you have to kill all of them, not just that one" she thought in her mind. She had concentrated only tracking the man that was just a few meters away from him. Still she could not kill him. The other humans would see her if she did that.

Staring the man, another thought came in her mind. Why he had warned her? Just a while ago he had been lurking them, now he was helping her? That couldn't be right. Probably he was hoping that she would left him alive as a thanks. But she couldn't do that. It was only two days before she had her birthday. Then she could pray and get the skill she had dreamed about, the ability to raise an army of ghost. "Yes, that's right. He has to die." Shena thought and observed the man. He couldn't stay there rest of the day. Eventually he had to move and when he did, she would follow and strike.

Travis swung his legs slightly as if he was bored with the day's events. He wondered if his chaser was ever going to finish it, but he waited there and sighed. Travis looked up at the blue hue of the sky and said something out in the open, "I've been observing this forest for years and I always expected to be hunted down because of it. I just never though it wouldn't be the police."

He stared into the forest and stated, "Y'know, we want the same thing... pretty much. You want the humans to stop damaging your forest. I want their... authorities to stop bothering me. But either way, if you kill me you won't be helping your situation. Sure you'd have one human out of your forest, but then what? What about this collection of workers here? What are you planning to do after that?" By this time, the construction workers were attempting to get the attention of the suspicious human in their territory. Travis waved at them slightly and they we starting to leave their vehicles and come closer

Travis chuckled as he got on his feet, "Its actually quite funny when you think about it. I haven't done anything to hurt you, but you still persist on seeing me dead." He began to walk back into the forest leisurely and said, "Your forest hasn't been exposed on my account, but hey... I'm just another human aren't I? 'You can't trust me. I'll expose you.' That's probably what you're thinking right?" He kept on down the length of the forest and lost the attention of the construction workers in the crater. "I'm a wanted man by the humans of this area... who would I spread this information to?"

Shena sat on the branch listening the man but staying alert. She couldn't reveal herself yet. Especially not now when the workers ahead of her were looking at the man. She was observing the environment since there could be more humans hiding and held the spear tightly ready to attack when needed. She waited staying perfectly still and let him walk closer the tree. "My first kill..." she thought in her mind. "I have to success. One strike and it has to end. I have no choices. Besides I have killed even bears with one hit, a human can't be harder than that."

When the human was near enough and the other ones seemed to lose their interest, Shena landed down from the tree right in front of him while spinning her spear 180 degrees and placed the edge of war hammer right in his throat. "If you're trying to talk your way out of this, don't bother. We can't allow humans to see us. It's my responsibility to kill you." she said looking him right into eyes, determined she could do this.

Travis felt the edge of the warhammer against his neck and cleared his throat. There really is no getting through this woman, is there. Travis thought it was hilarious, how his opponent felt the obligation to end the life of a man who didn't do anything to harm them. Travis stated, "Alright. You want to kill me. So we'll fight... but" His appearance began to tremor and become translucent. He smiled as he put on his mask on his face. "I don't play fair." Travis said, as his body suddenly shuttered out of visibility. He rushed below and tripped the creature by placing his ankle behind the creature's left leg. He swiftly moved his foot back into place and got some distance from his opponent.

At this moment he took this time too take refuge behind a distant tree to the left of them. It was a hearty oak-like tree that intertwined with a collection rocks down below. He slid down the roots and eventually made it to a small clearing where he could see the lake again. He ran quickly, knowing that the Valkyrie would soon be after him. He sprinted into the forest, the flexible grass beneath his feet much different than the coarse, brittle grass that would collected his footsteps. The grass left a small indent everytime he stepped, but the grass fixed itself in the calm wind. Travis sighted a small creek next to him and sprinted until he found another tree to slip behind.

Noticing that he was somewhat safe, he spied on the Cerberus that he had seen earlier he stopped breathing for a moment and his transparent eyes widened. He could only hope that his armor wasn't faulty at the time. He grasped his splintering dagger and held onto in tightly. It was slightly less effected by the enchantment of his clothing, but it still showed some level of invisibility.

The sudden kick behind Shena's left leg made her fall down on the ground. "Damn it..." she gritted her teeth and rose up quickly turning around ready to attack her opponent that was now no where to be seen. She looked around her and revealed her wings again. This was bad, she had to find him. Shena rose up in the air and followed his footprints. She knew she had to be fast, otherwise the grass would hide them. She speed up, flying fast among the trees trying to find a sign of him.

After a while she ended up back to the Sylphie's Pond seeing Re'nura and that fox-girl still there. "Hey Re'nura!" she shouted from the air. "Did you happen to see anyone going past here? Or well, apparently he can use some kind of invisibility spell, so you couldn't see but anything at all? I have to find him!" "This can't be happening. Don't say I lost tracks of him" she thought in her mind.

Sudden, very faint noices caught the hunched figure. Vrag narroved her eyes and held her breath to hear more clearly. She started tp carefully, quietly make her way towards the clearing. She was close enough to see, but not be seen when she noticed, humans! And machines! She was about to turn around and leave for good, thinking that this could not be the safe haven she had hoped after all.

Sudden movements on the oposite end of the clearing caught her attention. The workers were staring at a man, but somehow didn't seem to notice the winged creature flying above the trees. So there were others! Vrag's was filled with hope, before the feeling changed to stress. She had to talk to this winged creatue, but the humans seemed to want the same as the man and the creature disapeared out of the clearing. Vrag took the opportunity to scurry over to one of the digging machines left is vacant, whispering and consentrating her hardest on the spell, but it wasn't easy, seing how distracted she was by the urgency of the situation. At the first attempt, nothing happened, but at the second, the little flare she hoped to create blew up the whole machine. Vrag covered here face in the cloak and ran on the outside of the clearing.

A short minte later she met up with the winged creature and the... human? She wasn't sure what the man was. Her first intention was to warn them about the workers, but she just ended up staring at the great big wings.

Re' nura looked up and saw Shena fly above him. "Oooh, hi shena. No i haven't been seeing invisible people around any where near. Though i did get nice sleep while you were gone. Re' nura laughed and got up on his feet. "So what should be done now...?" long pause followed that sentence. "Ahhh! Yes the dwarf! I'll go look for the dwarf and tell him to inform forward the damn human incident. Who doesn't love to bring the bad news.. at least i'm not the one telling it to the rest of the folks." Shena sighed when hearing Re'nura's answer. She really had lost tracks of that man. She looked at the forest, wondering where he would head. He didn't seem to be afraid lose his ways in the forest, it meant he knew the territory. It meant he had to have a hiding place somewhere.

As Re'nura was talking about dwarf Shena just answered with nod. ”I would come with you, but I have to find the one spying on us. He claimed not to deal with other humans but he's human. They lie, don't they?”

When she was in her thoughts she suddenly hear steps behind her back. She quickly draw her spear forward and turned around just to see a hooded creature. She narrowed her eyes before realizing it was a female tiefling. ”You don't look familiar.” she said to her then turning her head towards Re'nura who had already started leaving away. ”Hey Re'nura!” she shouted after him. ”Here's a fellow tiefling. Do you know her by any chance?” She then turned to look back at tiefling. ”Name is Shena Savil. My apologizes but I have no time to get know you right now. I'm tracking down a possible dangerous person. Maybe we see later.” she said, nodding at her and rose up to her wings. ”Have fun to be the one telling bad news, Re'nura” she shouted from air smirking.

She flew back to the places she had met the man and landed down well before the workers would see her. She heard them shouting with each other. There seemed to be chaos. She didn't pay attention anymore than that. She looked around her. Where would she head from here? Left. She had went to right, assuming the man was heading to the same way he had come from. Shena turned to left and trusting her instincts she walked forward.

Suddenly she heard' a distant voice. ”Ooman! Where are ye?” ”Ooman?” she wondered and walked closer to voice. She came to place where she saw a Cerberus. He seemed to be familiar. Then the memory came to her. ”You... Weren't you the one helping humans? Ah, let me guess. You have been helping one man again. Tell me, where did you hide him?”
