The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 5 authors
"Hello yall"
"Oh God shes some stupid redneck great that's just what we need. Deliver me from Paula Dean" she thought, she was just glad that her mother never made her share her room. Keeley shook her head and and turned to go back inside the house to try to avoid the whole happy family introduction, she hated this they weren't this happy family her parents tried to make them out to be. All the younger ones ran around like heathens and the older ones were a pain in the ass in their own way the only one Keeley could tolerate was Christopher or Topher as she liked to call him. He was the only one she could sit down and have an intelligent conversation with. She sat down in the living room and texted her friend from school about how bored she was.

The other children had been a little more accommodating. Her youngest, at present, Kalissa seemed excited, if a little apprehensive. But she got up happily. Although, she always did. She was convinced some kind of monster lived under her bed and didn't especially enjoy spending time in her room alone. Nine year old Jonah didn't seem to mind to much but they hadn't really discussed it. Erin hadn't had to wake him up, he'd already been up and practising his guitar quietly. His talent always amazed Erin. She'd never imagined a child his age could play as well as he did until she met Jonah. Christoper, her eldest, never really seemed to speak about it. Although, he did speak to Keeley and he seemed to be the only person she could bare at present so Erin had decided to leave him to it. As a teenage boy, Erin always had trouble persuading him to get up but eventually she had the whole family downstairs, dressed and ready, sat round the kitchen table for breakfast. Erin had made pancakes. She always did when a new child arrived. She always found the smell of cooking pancakes made the place feel more homely and comforting, which was exactly what a new, shy, uncertain child needed.
As soon as Erin heard the car pull up outside, she took the whole family out to greet the new girl. It always made a better impression and looked welcoming. A pretty girl with blonde hair in loose curls stepped out of the blue Impala in a t-shirt, jean shorts and brown and blue cowboy boots. This was the first time Erin had met the girl in person. Of course she knew her name, age and a little bit of background from the social worker. Erin had been given the option to meet her first but she always preferred just to take what she was given. She held the firm belief that a child that needed a home was a child all the same and you could love it as your own no matter what they were like.
The girl looked up at Erin and her family, surveying them before looking down again. Then she stood proudly. [b]"Hello yall."
Erin gave her a friendly smile. "You must be Bella. I'm Erin, your new foster mum. This is my family," she told the girl taking a couple of steps towards her to try and close the gap and make the girl feel more included.
Of course, Keeley chose that moment to stalk off back inside the house. Erin glanced at her, shooting her the 'we'll talk about this later' look. But she didn't say a word to Bella about it.
Instead, Erin turned back to the new girl. "Come inside and you can sit down and meet everyone. I've got breakfast cooking, I hope you like pancakes."

Christopher was wearing a black beater t-shirt and a pair of black and white shorts when he entered the kitchen. He wasn't sure if Erin would be upset with him for not getting dressed but what did she except from him it was nine something in the morning. Christopher personally had been through a lot of foster homes so he would know exactly how this new girl felt coming to a new home and even thought he felt he should be more happy and supportive he just wasn't a morning person. He really didn't understand why the social worker had to be bringing this girl so earlier in the morning like really, noon would have worked a lot better for him. Christopher went in the kitchen and pour himself a glass of juice as the other kids moved around the house, Erin had defiantly made it her mission to make sure she got everyone up bright and earlier.
As the car pulled up in the driveway Erin shooed all the children to the front door to meet the new girl, some of the kids looked excited while others such as Keeley looked a little less than enthusiastic about what was going on. "Hello yall" the girl's accent clearly had country written all over it, Keeley hadn't bothered introducing herself she just rolled her eyes and headed back in the house which made Christopher chuckled. Keeley's attitude towards the other kids always humored Christopher because he didn't understand why she disliked them all so much. When it came to him and Keeley however they were good together, she actually liked him and being the two oldest of the house they had good times together. Christopher gave the girl a small wave "Christopher" he said turning and walking into the house and going to living room where Keeley sat. Plopping down next to her on the couch he looked at her miserable expression as she used her phone "Well look at it in a positive light. You guys look about the same age, maybe she can be your new bff" he said sarcastically with a chuckle.

"Well look at it in a positive light. You guys look about the same age, maybe she can be your new bff" said Christopher when he sat down on the couch next to her.
"Yeah that sounds just peachy Topher, but I don't think so. remember the last girl we had that was my age she turned out to be a psycho killer and tried to stab me. Not a really good record in my book, and that was just the worst. The other's have all tried to fight me more were so busy doing drugs or getting laid to worry about being friends with me", she said still texting.
Christopher chuckled "I will be right back" and he went off and proceeded to serve himself some pancakes.
Keeley looked up to see the new girl, Jonah, and Topher all eating. Jonah was a talkative kid that liked to play guitar and make up his own songs. Like allot of the younger ones Jonah got on Keeley's nerves. All the little one's thought she hated them but the truth was that she didn't exactly hate them. She just felt she had better things to do the listen to them go on and on about something that Keeley didn't care about.
Giving up on trying to stay away from the breakfast table she decided to get breakfast into herself, she sat down next to Topher and served herself still trying to ignore the new girl.

Re: Foster Child Life
I wanted a little bit of history, personality, explanation why she adopts etc so I filled in the 'why she's here' section.
