Sexual Orientation: straight
History: He lost his parents and younger brother when his house burned down on his 7th birthday. No one knows exactly what caused it, but a few suspect him of foul play, which makes him feel guilty even though, as far as he knows, he is innocent. He and his older sister have traveled from family to family, but the last foster home he was in had a particularly abusive father who would beat Avery whenever he had the chance, but always favored Mira, who didn't know about the beatings. He finally went too far when he drunkenly bashed a chair against Avery's back, causing the scar. Mira knocked the man out and fled the house with her brother. After Avery received medical care, they have been living at a hostel. Mira has been striving to get her drivers' license so she can commute to her job faster and Avery works as a paper boy.
Family: Mira Lin, his 17-year-old sister
Likes: music, art, puzzles, cards, video games, movies.
Dislikes: sleeping, nightmares, tv shows, talking, counselors, adults
Fears: the foster father who beat him, being responsible for his family's death, nightmares
Dreams: Avery makes it a point to not fall asleep on purpose. The reason for his dark circles is that he stays up ridiculously late watching movies or playing video games until he passes out or falls asleep unconsciously. He doesn't usually remember his dreams, and doesn't want to in case they were nightmares.
Additional Information: Avery has asthma, plays piano, and has an exceptional memory.
