He isn't the most trustworthy of people (unless you're the Enchantress and she has you under her spell, instead of the other way around), but he's a good listener, and somewhere in there lies a good heart. He spins falsities like poetry to anyone who doesn't know him well enough to see past it and find his frank side. Though he knows how to keep a secret, he is loyal to the Enchantress, as he believes her to be his savior to whom he owes his life.
In his free time, he can be found eavesdropping, or playing piano. He loves animals of all sorts, and hesitates to do anything that might harm one. Easily bored,
he often daydreams, even in the middle of a conversation. All of these things are remnants of his personality as Phillip - although he doesn't know it. He can never quite shake the feeling that there's something missing from his life, something important; and getting it might be the only thing able to motivate him to betray the Enchantress.

That was why the slaughter of their parents broke him so quickly. When the Enchantress brainwashed them, he was an easy target; the moment he started to forget, he was relieved. As a child, those memories were too much for him to bear. Although some of the trauma still lingers, the Evil Enchantress has him 100% convinced that his nightmares (which come nearly nightly) are the product of a horrible accident, which killed his peasant family when he was young - and that she herself saved him from the wreckage, and took him in.
He'd do just about anything for the Enchantress now, and happily serves as her Adviser and go-to spy. Throughout his life, he's been tempted to use his information-gathering skills to learn more about what happened to him as a child, to find out why he can't shake the feeling that something important is still missing from his life;
but somehow, it seems that she knows when his curiosity is piquing, and somehow, she always manages to dissuade him before he can find any real clues.
