If asked how many times people have thought of him as a female, Ino would be unable to produce enough extensions to represent the allotted amount. His father usually dubbed his son's appearance androgynous, and was unsure of his offspring's gender even on the day when he rested on his death bed. His youthful looks and that uninformed glimmer in his eyes fails to match his personality. People tend to not take him seriously when he attempts to operate by his reticent personality. Although he likes to think of himself as a grown up and mature individual, his young complexion betrays him. Some of his patients say that his smile alone has more healing qualities than the remedies he concocts, yet Ino personally disagrees with such a superstition. His extremities are only visible when on a mission, as he likes dropping the lengthier portions during times of rest. The bases protruding from his back can be seen through his shirt. Even though they seem a bit uncomfortable to lean against, Ino has already found himself a viable way to sit down with ease. Anatomically speaking, Ino has a frail build with minute muscular definition. Basic training was utter hell for the boy. Radioactivity has ravaged his genomes in multiple spectrums. Aside from the healing extensions, his hair and eyes are naturally a bright silver, with a tint comparable to mercury. When he's not forced to wear military apparel, his casual taste picks out lightly colored t-shirts and jeans. Light as a feather and with the looks of a first year in highschool, Ino continues to heal comrades in his own fashion.

Ino, for all intensive purposes, is still a kid at heart. He may try to act mature, more than his age implies, yet in the end utterly fails and falls back into a childish demeanor. He's one of the few who has a heart left uncorrupted by the recent series of events. Even though he was born with mutations clearly visible on the macroscopic level, he doesn't resent the extensions permanently attached to his back, but rather embraces their presence. He even went through the trouble of cutting holes in all of his shirts to give them some breathing room. The boy's an extremely ethical person. Holding close to preset rules and courtesies set in invisible stone, Ino is guided by a sense of justice. This alone spurs him to continue his enlistment. Although he is endowed to the armed forces, he can only apply himself by assisting others.

At times, Ino can be reckless or rash when another comrade's life is at stake. Being a born healer, he feels that he is responsible for the wellbeing of those he is assigned to. He will try his best to keep a patient alive, even if he is faced with insurmountable odds. The boy takes on an uncommon ideology amongst doctors. He'd rather sacrifice his own hide than an ally's. Of course, the medic's a rational person. He can easily tell whether somebody is recoverable or not. And even then, there's no point in not trying.

When he's not on the field, Ino's an easily approachable person. He's laid-back and aware of other people, simultaneously keeping tabs on their emotions and physiques. An attribute of a doctor is that he or she notices whether a patient is feeling unsettled. If an individual needs some emotional support, he'll happily offer solace with an outstretched hand and closure. But since he's human, it's possible for the friendly character to get a bit ticked. Nothing gets on his nerves more than being mistaken for a female. Luckily he's learned to restrain himself from flinging people into the air, and happily informs them of the truth.

Coffee || "Albeit it may not be the healthiest beverage, and not a fine example for a medic to drink in front of his patients, it's one of my few sources of energy. The water used to brew it might not be the cleanest, but the amount of diverse plants created after the war keeps the market spurring. I guess being a support soldier has its perks."
Puppies || "Pardon my French, but those things are adorable as hell. Especially the ones which don't try to bite your legs off! Ya know, the ones which you can actually tame, and aren't ecological supremacists."
Remedies || Ino spends a large portion of his time researching and gathering information on concoctions to assist him in his field. Whether it is skimming through old scriptures, borrowing books from the library, or diving into some individualistic research, the boy passionately partakes in the practice.
Logical Thought || "Making a logical prognosis is a skill of mine. Overreacting and sporadic reactions will only cause difficulties. Those who are able to keep a clear mind are instantly reliable people in my book."
Peace || "Well, I am a medic, so my first role in the line of duty is to not bash somebody's brains out. I like peace. My job isn't one which presence is considered a good thing.

Rebellion || "There are people who are attempting to piece together the broken shambles of humanity, yet there are those who are sullying that movement. I'm all for personal opinion, but not to the extent where it stands up against millions of people who are striving for a better ultimatum."
Needles || "I'll agree, it is a bit bizarre for a medic to have a phobia of needles. I guess it's pointy things in general. I've been pricked by those things so much, I developed a fear for them. I guess I'm lucky that my extensions do not require the puncturing of the applicant, just contact."
Temperature Fluctuations || "I hate the weather here. One moment it's cold, the next it's like I'm being cooked over a fire by a raider. I guess consistency in climate is too much to ask for in a post-apocalyptic landscape. Reality is too cruel."
Being Called a Girl || "...I'm a boy. Yes, I'm quite sure what genitalia my body consists of. I'm definitely sure. 100% What, do you need 200% to be sufficed? Sure, 200%"

ใ€ŽS T R E N G T H Sใ€
โ— Medical Attention - Since Ino plays the role of a medic, of course is expertise lies in the field of medicine. Some even dub the young medicial mastermind a miracle worker, although the silver haired boy doesn't believe in such a thing, only hard work and tactfulness. Along with being a savvy worker in the midst of combat, he also has a diverse knowledge of remedies and resources loaded in his arsenal, most of which can be found in natural environment. Making spur of the moment concoctions is a specialty he is proud of and a rarity in modern day.
โ— Musical Sense - Even in such a decrepit state of life, Ino still finds the happier things in the pile of a trashly existence. Although they are uncommon to find, Ino always takes the chance to snatch and gather music discs or download tunes from surviving computers on the fly. The boy cna always be seen with a pair of headphones around his neck.
โ— Reassuring Charisma - Even if one was bleeding from multiple gauging wounds, one would feel an aura of serenity when faced with Ino's adolescent smile. Although this form of remedy is used as a lest resort, since it barely matches his attitude by the slightest. He finds it a hassle to stretch his facial muscles in such a formation. His smile is as entrancing as it is lethal. In training, a few comrades have been left in awe at the childish grin, yet Ino isn't the best at offensive play. That reason alone is why his smile is solely utilized as a substitute painkiller.
โ— Knitting - Manly hobby as hell. Ino has true faith in his masculinity and happily shows off the reaping of his hobby. The boy always wears apparel created by himself, ranging from scarfs to sweaters and other comfortable items.

ใ€ŽW E A K N E S S E Sใ€
โ— Non Mano a Mano || Aside from being the only Spanish term Ino has in his vocabulary, the boy isn't the best at physical, hand-to-hand combat. He's a support role, that's the extent of his combat effectiveness. With an externally frail appearance, Omoiya isn't the best combatant and abstains from frontal attacks. He's feels most at ease behind a comrade, rather than leading them.
โ— Fumbling Hands - When put under pressure, Ino has the tendency to lose control of his fingers and finds it hard to control them. Even though the boy is keeping a cool head, only when the facade of calmness breaks does this disability surface and fully fleshes out its colors.
โ—Fragile Extensions - Although his extensions are quite versatile and applicable, they can easily be torn with the common blade. They can be utilized as a shield which can easy be breached, nor can they hold up that much weight before crumbling. They should only serve the purpose they were born for, healing.
โ— Sprinting - During training in boot camp, Ino had to be ridden a portion of the jogging route due to the sheer arduous requirement. He can run in small bursts, but anything beyond that is out of the question.

ใ€ŽF E A R Sใ€
โ— Loss of a Life - Death is a medic's archnemesis. The practice of docturing is a battlefield in itself, a neverevernding strife between the preservation of life and its departure. Naturally, Ino fears losing those under his care, especially comrades who have grown on him.

ใ€ŽMEDICAL EXTENSIONSใ€
Most mutations can be externally exemplified and instantly noticed. Ino's are more subtle unless they are brought into fruition, but for the most part are quite hidden from other eyes. The medic's abilities derive from the ligaments which sprout from flexible bases attached to his back. In total there are four stumps which produce the lengthier extensions. The extremities are metallic and shine with luster, and don't appear to be something which would slink out of a living being's back. Ino has full control over the ligaments and how to apply them, utilizing their varying applicancy. One of their prime uses is a highly effective healing factor, which even government analysts have yet to nail down what genomes cause the reaction. They've relented to deducing it as a hyperactive intuitive ability, which instantly notes a patient's illness or wound and creates the proper chemical secretions to assist in healing. His ability is usually attributed with a purple mist which encases the area of effect, then diagnoses the patient with the upmost speed. Another usage of the extensions is as a siphon, which can pump remedies Ino usually has stored firmly within his backpack. A last capability is as a temporary shield. Since they are more of a support utility, defense and offense aren't their strong suits. Their striking force is on par with punches thrown in a toddler's tantrum, and are as brittle as hardened glass. Medical attention comes first, keeping himself alive is second.

ใ€ŽP O W E R L I M I T A T I O N Sใ€
โ— Non Self-beneficial Service - As helpful as his extremities may seem, which they truly are, they can only be applied to others. If Ino is wounded in the heat of battle, the extensions themselves will shatter instantaneously. Even if he is in prime condition, they still can't be used to mend himself in any way, shape, or form. The boy's benevolence has utterly become his temperance, even in the line of duty.
โ— Brittle Ligaments - As already mentioned, his extensions are by no means invincible. They do regenerate, but at a notably slow pace. They can be used to deflect oncoming rounds, but instantly shatter like glass afterwards.
โ— Few Numbers - Ino can only grow six extensions at once, but chooses to operate with four just for the less space they take up.
โ—Uncharted - If Ino hasn't been exposed to it, it will take his body a period of time to remedy it. At the moment, the NWG has already ran tests with a slew of disease samples.

ใ€ŽH I S T O R Yใ€
Ino was born into the military, and has already grown used to principles of discipline and cooperation. Granted, he isn't the pinnacle of the government's armed prowess, it's not like he was raised to be a soldier or anything. At least, those were his parents original intentions prior to his birth. Both of them were military medics. His mother would thoroughly treat soldiers in the safety of a base away from the battlefield, meanwhile his father was a corpsman, operating in the heart of the storm with gauze and morphine as his means of temporary remedies. Thankfully, his father could join his mother in a more peaceful atmosphere after the NWG came into power. But there was still work to be done. Wounds to be treated, diagnoses to be made, bodies to be identified. Ino's mother even worked while she was pregnant, living up to her resilient personality which was even considered borderline hellbent. At least she had the common sense to take a maternal leave just before she bore the product of radiation. It wasn't uncommon for a deformed human to be born at the time, everybody was irradiated to some extent after the war. What they were surprised by was that the mutation wasn't harmful to their son, but it was quite apparent, physically speaking.

Although most qualities of mutation don't manifest until the age of six, Ino was born with a pair of stumps from the get-go. At this juncture, they were just mere bumps on his body, and would grow with him as he aged. It was at the expected age did he finally learn how to wield said variation, his parents referred to it as more of a gift rather than a curse. It was as if he was born a doctor, that it wasn't a happening of chance. With his parents' guidance and the NWG exposing him to known diseases, potential lives could be saved. Of course, basic training was a living hell for the boy. As soon as he was at the beginning of teenage years, he was already training with soldiers and receiving shouts from a drill sergeant. At first he was a total klutz and completely out of shape, but after he was given some time, Ino got the hang of it. The kid learned how a squad operated and his cues on how to act as a field medic. Regardless of his abnormal birth, he didn't feel out of place when he was training. There was the event every so often where he was mistaken as a girl by a new face, but he got past that.

With the world completely in shambles, and the government screwing everything else up, they decide to leave the job of handling citizens to groups of trained mutants. From birth, most of them have been taken by the government from families, isolated and trained to be the governments ideal soldier. Most groups have consisted of members older than the age of 20, but the government has decided to take another approach to this. They've created a group of much younger, more naive individuals, ages ranging from fourteen to eighteen. Whether this group succeeds or fails is entirely up to how they do on the field, but behind that much darker things have been going on.

Of course, the group knows nothing of this, completely ignorant to the corruption in the government or things that they've been doing behind the scenes. The roleplay will start the day after they've arrived at their Base of Operation in Tokyo. They have very little information about the others beyond each others first names, possibly by some miracle they'll be able to get along. Things will be pretty slow until they get their first mission from the government, maybe they could make good use of the free time they have.

The pillars of smoke wafted wildly into the black abyss above her head as she ran along that roof top, ash and other pollutants stinging at her lungs as her feet slammed into the ground mercilessly, carrying her to her destination with great haste. Fire licked at the world around her feverishly, and as the raven-haired teenager leaped from one rooftop to the next with a tuck and roll, the pressure wave from the exploding gas lines in the building she abandoned nearly knocked her off her feet and bits of glass tore at her suit as the building began to collapse. She didn't look behind her -- she had places to go, people to see.

Silhouetted by the full blood moon would be her target; the silver-haired boy with the red vest. He stood amass a pile of what appeared to be soldiers, popping his knuckles as he looked down at one in particular as they groaned. A grin, and a slight kick to the shoulder would roll them over, before the boy lifted his head, and turned to face Allison as her steps slowed. The look they gave one another in that brief moment would reveal all it needed to; they were far from enemies. Even amidst the chaos that surrounded them, love bloomed in the purest of fashions. The boy's gloved hand would reach up to brush across Allisons' cheek. But as he opened his mouth to speak... the scene immediately turned.

Eyes widened and jaw agape, the boys' expression would suddenly twist into a gaze of agonizing pain. Crimson would begin to stain through his vest, around the heart, and though he stumbled forward at first, into Allisons' frantic embrace, his weight would ultimately lead him to fall backwards, and Allison would follow suit, barely managing to catch onto the black ribbon around his neck as he fell into the fiery pit between the buildings below. Up until then, Allison hadn't heard a single voice, but as she threw herself onto that rooftop and reached into the pit, her own cries reached her ears...

"CAELAN!"
โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ
"No!" Allison shouted as she sat upright in her small bed, her wifebeater and the sheets she slept in soaked from cold sweat. Blue eyes wide, wild and streaming with tears, they darted about the room, dark from a not-surprising lack of windows, chest rising and falling frantically as she tried to regain her bearings, hand trembling as she reached up to scratch her fingers through her dark mess of hair after wiping at her eyes. Her real self; the bare appearance that was only allowed to be seen by those closest to her... or by those who wouldn't live to tell the world about it.

Slowly, Allison would throw those sheets off of herself, and twist to place her feet on the cold floor. As she groggily yawned and stretched, the tint to her hair would lighten and fade out to a light blonde and those orbs shifting to a honeyed gold as that illusion began to take hold, her brow tensing as she thought to herself, Damn it... damn it, damn it, damn it! Nightmares were still going to tear her apart, even after this reassignment. As Allison sat on the end of that bed, waking up, she thought over the events that transpired over the past few days:

Her handler seemed excited when he had given her the manila envelope with her first unsupervised mission; she was to report to a disclosed location in Tokyo, Japan, where she'd essentially be bunking with a rag-tag bunch of other operatives to essentially keep the peace. She had barely bothered to read over their names...

...Aurora La Rihavein, the leader... Remus Mackenzie, the second-in-command... Maria Ferraris, the hacker... Ino Omoiya, the resident medic... Nano Moore, Technician... Kurai Ryujin, strategist... and finally, Faustus Lehrer, the spy, and most likely the one she'd be working with the most...

... most of those names didn't mean anything to her, really -- it was the last one that had brought her pause, and forced a look on her face that was a marriage of relief and distress. Faustus, she knew from previous missions -- excellent at what he did, by all accounts, however, there was personal cause for the sad expression to fill her features when her thoughts began to wander.

Allison had arrived at the Base of Operations the day before, but she didn't really hang out to meet the others. No, she saved that for today, and as she pulled on her civilian attire, Allison plastered the best smile on her face that she was able to. Someone was sure to have heard her loud awakening and to come running, she figured. Might as well attempt to pretend it wasn't her. Stepping out of her room, Allison would force back any dark thoughts for now, stuffing her hands into the pockets of her hoodie as she turned to hunt down a bite to eat.

You aren't a monster. You were meant for something great. . . I just know it.

Groaning and sitting up from his cozy place on the floor, Remus glanced around his designated room. He remembered protesting having a no outside visitor policy, which got him punched in the face. His little buddy had enough of Remus' games. It was like he went from one prison to another. He had never been a good boy, which is why he was here now. He never saw a need to bite his tongue to please his superiors. He'd always say what was on his mind, no matter who it offended.

Rubbing his temples he reached out and grabbed his white V-neck and slid it on over his muscular torso. He stood with pops and crackles, damn I'm falling apart. Remus remembered vaguely reading over his new teammates names. His leader was a woman. That was bound to be interesting, he chuckled as he slid on his jacket and kicked his door open. Hands in his pockets, door wide open, red mane in full glory, amber eyes glowing like a wild beast. Remus looked left and right down the hall, he liked to make sure no one was watching him. His past missions had taught him you're never safe. No matter who your with, who you trust, or where you are. . . Never safe.

He sniffed the air, he didn't smell anything off. Shutting his door he then made his new target something to eat, as requested by the loud growls coming from his stomach.

As he walked he tried to memorize as much as he could of his surroundings. Remus wasn't one to let his guard down, he had seen too many comrades fall because they were being lax. They relaxed for a moment and it killed them. He groaned internally, he realized he was probably the oldest one. He was working with teenagers, his worst nightmare. Sighing and running a hand through his mane he keep walking, hoping to stumble across food in the process. Or a little less rewarding, one of his new teammates. Maybe he'd find some good friends nonetheless. . . Or maybe he would make everyone hate him, the latter was usually how it went.

First day, a slap on the ass and a thumbs up to send you on your way. . .

The entire flight to Tokyo, Japan from Paris, France was long and monotonous. Taking approximately eleven hours and forty minutes, most of her trip was spent sleeping. That, or organizing files that she would need. At this point, she hasn't even opened the manila envelope that was handed to her, which contained her mission statement and the names of those who she'd be working with for quite some time. Of course, she was flying to Tokyo on a private, military owned jet. They wouldn't allow any other form of transport as far as she was aware.

'Hopefully we'll be landing soon...' she thought to herself before glancing at the manila envelope lying on the seat beside her. The sun was slowly starting to rise, peeking out from just above the clouds and shined its light into the aircraft's windows. With delicate fingers, she picked the envelope up and closed the steel clasps holding the envelope shut. Sliding the papers out of it, she placed the manilla sleeve down and went on the read the information off the papers that were in front of her.
Mission Briefing
La Rihavein, from here on out, you are to be a part of our new unit that is being deployed in Tokyo, Japan. This unit will consist of seven other members, all of them around the same age group as you, youngest being fifteen and oldest being twenty-three. You'll be the leader of this unit, and will be expected to lead them accordingly. The names of these operatives and their positions on the team and their ages are listed below. If you have any further questions, contact NWG Headquarters as always.

Names of Operatives
Remus Mackenzie - Second in Command - Twenty-three
Maria Ferraris - Hacker - Eighteen
Ino Omoiya - Medic - Sixteen
Nano Moore - Technician - Fifteen
Kurai Ryujin - Strategist - Seventeen
Allison Bennet - Assassin - Seventeen
Faustus Lehrer - Spy - Eighteen

"They seem like an interesting bunch..." she muttered to herself as she read the list of names. She could always request more information on them, it wouldn't be that hard to convince the higher ups. Though she eventually decided against it, and continued to sift through the other papers that were packed with the mission briefing. All the other papers where just extra information, none of it that needed immediate attention. She soon received notice from the pilot that they'd be landing shortly from over the intercom and returned the papers to the manila envelope. Once they had landed, they drove the rest of the way to B.O., where the rest of her Mission Briefing had been given to her.

The ride was short and quiet, a relief given the length of the airplane ride there. During the ride she'd noticed that it began to rain, even though the skies earlier in the morning before showed little to no signs of it. They shortly reached the destination, and she was dropped off. Yet, she had decided to stay outside, and although it was pouring rain, she was interested to see if anyone else would show up today.

ใ€Œ"I'm here to help! Before you ask, no, I'm not a girl! Alright, let's get to work on putting your intestines back inside your belly."ใ€

Current Theme: Homecoming

A day prior:

โ€ETA to B.O. is five minutes. Get ready to deploy and haul ass to your required guarding positions. The APCโ€™s driver voice crackled over the intercom as the vehicle and its cargo closed in on the destination. Within the chassis sat eight NGW soldiers, tired from what seemed to be a drive which had lasted eons. Some were murmuring amongst themselves while others sat primly with their rifles between their knees. Even through their opaque visors, Ino could notice each glance which just so happened to focus on him and systematically make a speedy retreat. Even the soldier manning the carrierโ€™s main gun took a peek from his monitor once in a while.

Their wavering gazes were by no means unwarranted, after all, he was without a doubt the odd one out. There he was, in a notable smaller sized uniform lacking a helmet, in a vehicle full of grown men breathing lead and discipline armed to the teeth with rifles. All he had was a flimsy PM-9 holstered on his thigh. Although most recruits from hisโ€ฆ โ€˜sectโ€™ usually didnโ€™t bear weapons, since his gift wasnโ€™t exactly meant for offensive application, the boy needed some insurance. Throughout the entirety of the five hour ride from Kyoto to Tokyo they were forced to endure, not one of them had hazarded to asked him a question he had heard countless times. Perhaps he would get through this ride scott free without having to deal with the arduous and mind-wrenching ordeal.

โ€Soโ€ฆ Whatโ€™s a young maiden like yourself doing in the military?โ€

โ€Shit.โ€ He thought to himself as a crevice formed between his furrowed brows exuding irritation.

โ€Seriously? Just four and a half minutes left, come on! Alright, try not to demoralize him too much. Just flash that smile and gently lay down the truth. Andโ€ฆ go!โ€ Ino looked up from the grated flooring and locked gazes with the soldier, then stretched an innocent smile across his face.

โ€Oh, sorry, Iโ€™m a guy!โ€ Just like that, all of the whispering and snoring took a nosedive, leaving the entire cabin in silence. An awkward aura filled the cabin to the roof, even the driver was staring back through the small slit with his mouth agape. To ease the soldiers and evade a collision with a building, the mutant cleared his throat and spoke up, โ€As for why Iโ€™m here, Iโ€™m your package. Iโ€™m one of those [i]special
soldiers, a bit on the young side, but I guess the higher-ups have a reason for expediting my way through boot camp and into the field. Now Iโ€™m here, reporting for service in Tokyo. Does that answer your question?โ€

The soldier who had queried the boy stared dumbfoundedly at him. It took a punch to the shoulder from his comrade to resurrect him back to reality. โ€Oh. Um. Yes.โ€ The soldier sulked back in his seat, drowning in embarressmant. His saving grace was the driverโ€™s voice over the intercom. โ€Weโ€™re here. Everybody grab your weapons and report to your assigned stations. Move it, soldiers!โ€ The APC swiveled to an abrupt halt, causing all of the transportees to sway slightly to the side. They all quickly regained their footing and rushed their way out as soon as the bay door creaked open. Ino lingered for a few moments and waiting for the men to file out before taking his leave. He planted himself on the gravel road and scanned his surroundings. The T96 revved up its eight wheels and sped off through the baseโ€™s gates for another run. โ€Well, better get to my quarters. Damn, those seats were uncomfortable.โ€ He sighed and made his way into the base.

Today:

Ino drowsily woke up from his slumber and autonomously propelled himself into the morning routine. He had barely gained a few hours of sleep, since the mattress wasnโ€™t much better than the seating from the prior day. The boy sat upright in his bed and ran a hand down his neck to rub out a few kinks which had formed overnight. A groan escaped his lips as he slung his legs over the bedside and got to his feet. He nearly fell onto his pretty little face but managed to recover his balance. Mornings were not part of his medicinal forte.

After a plausibly sluggish display of laboratory escapades and dressing himself, the finished product was a young teen with damp snow-white hair, draped in a monochrome black uniform, a slightly customized version of the common NGW outfit which was designed to fit his physique. In other words, they trimmed it down. A lot. Glancing at a mirror, the four bases on his back were given holes for breathing room, below them was another pair of unoccupied cutouts. A few people were set aback by the sight, as they some of the more physically expressed mutations, but aesthetics wasnโ€™t a priority for Ino. Keeping his patients alive was.

The boy stretched out his frail body and gave a nod of motivation, โ€Alright, today, itโ€™s time to meet my team. Andโ€ฆ go!โ€ He didnโ€™t know what exactly was in store for him. Perhaps he would rub his comrades off the wrong way, or they might like him. All Ino knew about them were their names and roles, but regardless, it was his duty to keep them alive and operational. The boy grabbed a pair of headphones on his way out and took the first step out of the doorway. His destination was still undecided.

With hand against cheek, Faustus let out a sigh and continued to gaze out and through the thick pane of glass that called itself 'window'.

Rainfall gazed back.

An accumulative total of one day had been spent at the base thus far, and Faustus was less than entertained. The day prior was mostly filled with travelling for him, and he assumed the same went for the others.

Personally, he had been too 'tired' to really bother with introductions, and found himself to his quarters immediately upon arriving the day before, besides, the names listed (sans one) hadn't really interested him any. And the person that the one name he recognized belonged to, well, let's just say he wasn't exactly mentally prepared to interact with her again so soon.

But was it really soon? It had been roughly six months since the incident, and Faustus wondered how half a year had passed so quickly. He lifted his cheek from the rest his hand had formed, shaking his head as he did so and standing up.

He gazed out at the rain for a moment longer from his new vantage point, going through his routine of stretches and cracking every joint that was willing to crack. After he had finished, he turned and walked across the room to the door, pulling it open, exiting, then closing and locking it behind him.

He stood in the hall for a moment, unsure of where he'd go exactly, but as if on cue, his stomach let out a growl and he dropped his gaze down to look at it.

"Food it is, then."

The source of which wouldn't be so hard to find, would it? And besides, if he was hungry, it was likely that the others would be too. Maybe he'd bump into one or two of them, not that he was particularly looking forward to doing so, but he was aware of certain... formalities that his job required.

With that thought, he set out, in search of food like (unbeknownst to him) many of the others.

"Nano, stay there and don't move, alright, sweetie?" In her memories, her mother's face was blurred in front of her eyes as she went out to the battle outside again. Even she could see that it was one sided. Stay here! She wanted to hold on to the leaving woman, but she was slipping past her fingertips. Too late. The screams of pain outside died down into an empty silence. Letting out a shriek of despair, the girl clutched at her ears to cover them, but she could hear footsteps, and they were growing closer and closer...

"Agent Nano?" Before she could stop herself, her knife was already flying toward her handler, who caught it before it could inflict an injury. "Sorry." Nano mumbled under her breath as she pinched the bridge of her nose, her eyes shut tightly. She needed to collect her thoughts, it was her first time here and she needed to make a good impression. An impression that sadly didn't include attacking others without thinking. But old habits die hard, and she found it hard to control herself from doing such things. Not after a dream like that, certainly. "We have arrived." Her handler didn't sound the least bit surprised or offended. Ever since Nano had come under the custody of the government, the people who were supposed to teach her had long gotten used to her frequent mood swings and attacks.

A soft sigh escaped the girl as she swung her legs out of the van, tucking the stray strands of her ink black hair behind her ears. It was time to meet the team, and it seems that some of them were already there. There was a woman with pink hair, and a boy with silver one. Interesting. Yet, she chose to ignore them for now. Nano was looking forward to see what her room would be like, excited to customise it to her own liking. It would be fun, much different from the room she had to train in until now. Everything seemed to fresh to her, and the girl was taking everything in with curious eyes, as if she was seeing it for the first time.

As she stepped into the hall, she found herself face to face with a... Teammate? Nano could feel her fingers tightening over the knife hidden in her jacket, her eyes scanning his whole body quickly. "That um... Hi?" She gave a shaky greeting. Nano wasn't expecting to meet anyone so early, so it caught her completely off guard. Biting her lip in embarrassment, she waited for the man to reply anxiously, regretting it slightly that she had not just ignored him as well.

The stroll at which Allison chose to walk at was a slow pace, and from the way her gaze remained slightly downward, it was apparent that what was slowing her steps was her own thoughts. It was enough so, that her self-projection waned just a touch, growing hazy and fading like the screen of a televisions' screen cutting out. From the look on Allisons' face, she didn't seem to notice, but as she walked past a hallway, something caught her attention long enough to bring her to a full stop.

"Your mask is slipping." Said the silver-haired boy from her nightmare, his arms crossed and one leg propped up against the wall he was leaning against, light brown eyes focused on the assassin, and his lips curling up into a grin. Hands still in her pockets, Allison just stood still for a moment, her face solemn. After a moment, she would slowly slip her hands free, reaching up to pull her hood up over her head as the boy continued to speak, "Hey now, none of that, you know that's not what happened." Allison continued to simply stand there, holding the tip of her hoodie downward so it covered her face, and the boy pushed himself off of the wall, visibly growing concerned. And blushing.

"O-Oi, Allison!" He would call out, hint of an Irish accent tugging at his voice, before he reached up and began to tousle his silver hair with both hands, eyes widening as he began to look around. After a few seconds of panic, a soft scoff passed the girls' lips, and she lifted her head. Confusion rang across his face, before Allison finally managed to mumble, "Making you blush is still as easy as it ever was, Caelan."

A calm rushed over Caelan, one hand dropping to his side to rest on his hip, while the other clutched over his chest while he gave a sigh of relief. "You shouldn't mess with people like that, y'know." He'd scold, but Allison simply lifted her head a touch more, and said, "I know. I'm sorry." A brief pause, before Caelan would rest himself against the wall again.

"So... Faustus, huh?"
"Mmhmm."
"You excited to work with him again?"
"Pssh. Are you jealous?"
"M-Maybe."

"Heh." Allison said, before she began to walk forward again. There would be a long moment of silence, before Caelan called out, "I-I love you!"

Allison would stop once more time, before her head lowered a bit more. This time, her voice barely managed a croak, "I love you too, Caelan. I'll see you later."

As Allison walked away, Caelan would finally step out of his little hiding place, watching her as she walked away, eventually beginning to flicker like a bad television set, before vanishing. A projection*.

Allison continued her stroll to the mess hall, before a voice caught her attention, "Hey! You can come inside!" Allison would stop once more, hood still up as she turned her head and looked towards the entrance. Honey brown eyes focused on the back of the auburn-haired girl at the doorway for a moment, before they slowly trailed upwards, and focused on the woman standing outside. Stuffing her hand back into her hoodie pocket, Allison chose to take a detour, slowly turning on her foot and heading for the front door. As she walked past the one known as Maria, her gaze remained downward, not even hesitating for a moment as she stepped out into the falling rain, continuing to walk until she came to a stop next to their leader, Aurora.

"You're a day late, y'know." Allison would say, her voice quiet and thought-riddled as she addressed their leader. Still, her gaze remained downward, not even flinching as the heavy rainfall began to soak through her hoodie. "We've been waiting for you." A moment of silence, before Allison would finally lift her head a bit, hands sliding out of her pockets to reach up for her hood.

"I suppose we can wait until the rain stops, though. I don't mind." Granted, Allison was a fan of rainfall regardless, and it showed by the way she finally pulled that hood free, head lifting upward to let the tears from the heavens land and glide down her face. "I've always loved the rain."

Her mask was refitted perfectly, and not an error was to be seen. However, as the rain soaked her flesh, the faint hints of puffiness and discoloration under her eyes were obvious, which left the question as to which tears came from the sky, and which were her own.

OOC Projection Note: Anyone within earshot can hear Allison and Caelan talking. They could also see him quite clearly if they so choose. PM if you have questions.

While most people might think him rude, Nano only let out a sigh of relief as the man passed by her without saying a word. She had little to no experience in handling conversations, so it was actually better for him to just go. Yet, it was probably the wrong decision to talk to him in the first place... How does she manage to keep messing these things up? Meetings were not her strong point, and after all she never needed any of this. She had never worked together with anyone before, so why now? What was the point of throwing her into a group of people she barely knew?ย

Still, it was useless to mull over these facts for now. She shook the thoughts off with an air of defiance, walking off in the opposite direction, to the dorms where they were supposed to stay. And yet, it seemed like she couldn't avoid meeting them forever. Red eyes scanned the different doors only to see another silver haired boy. That makes person number three she had seen, apart from the one with pink hair and the other mysterious person with black. Hair colours were probably not the best way to differentiate her team members, but it will have to do for now. ย She will find time to identify them one way or another, but currently she was too flustered and frustrated to care. Nano had half a mind to spend the rest of the day in her room. Forget socialising, even greeting others was hard. It did take a lot more to bring her down usually, but this was a new environment, and she was feeling at a loss. It was only polite to acknowledge the other however.ย

"Hey." She raised her hand in a small wave and gave the person a half hearted smile before entering her room, flopping immediately on the bed. Burying her face in one of the pillows, Nano thanked the heavens that it was soft, providing a source of immediate comfort and security for her tired body. She sat up, nuzzled her face into it and rocked herself back and forth, trying not to think of the awkward encounter that had happened. Yet, the sudden heating of her cheeks told her she had failed.ย

"Ugh." To think that she was looking forward to this too. She did feel a lot better, an effect that soft things always had on her system. They calmed her down immensely, and as she raised her head, she knew that she was ready to take on whatever the day had to offer. For now, at least.ย

ใ€Œ"I'm here to help! Before you ask, no, I'm not a girl! Alright, let's get to work on putting your intestines back inside your belly."ใ€

Current Theme: Repetition

Ino looked dumbfoundedly at the space where the girl just stood before she bolted off behind a closed door. He blinked out of awe a few times before he returned to his senses, still in the process of wrapping his mind around her actions. Unfortunately, timidness wasnโ€™t an easily diagnosable prognosis, and since the shy girl had already made her retreat, the medic left it off at that. โ€She didnโ€™t look like generic military personnelโ€ฆ Must be a part of my unit.โ€ That was the only conclusion he could draw. Even though it was complete downpour outside, soldiers were still training and patrolling, or at least doing something progressive.

โ€Definitely. Thereโ€™s no question about it.โ€ But a possible path to kill time fled just as soon as it had appeared, scurrying off into her own quarters to rest. She seemed interesting enough to get to know, it was a doctorโ€™s natural intent to get to know his patients, and fasten bonds with them. If she was a part of his green team, then they would surely meet again soon.

Since that offer had already dissipated, Ino decided on strolling through the complex to kill time. If his hunch was correct, its structure would be essentially identical to the base in Kyoto. After all, originality required monetary expense, which the NWG wasnโ€™t too fond of. Navigating the halls was a sinch to him, and on the way he noted a few diamonds in the rough. More suspected individuals of his group, all distinctly unique from one another. One girl and two guys, each at least had a couple years on him. They were chatting away, making first basis introductions. Ino was half-tempted to yank a cigarette out of a red headโ€™s hand before he threw it out himself, indefinitely saving him from an earful and lecture. The boy wrapped his fingers around the housing of his headphones and cupped them over his ears. He wouldโ€™ve gladly reached out to the trio, but he was determined to reach his destination first; the medbay.

Ino flattened out his palm against the wall of glass as he stared at the man on the other side. He was in a hospital gown, gritting his teeth while letting out cries of pain and agony. It was a sight which could make anybodyโ€™s blood curdle and spine tense all at the same time. The soldier was completely boxed in by panes, a crude yet effective form of containment, and strapped to a table under a blinding light.

โ€Sorry, doc, but I canโ€™t do anything about radiation poisoning.โ€ He stated bluntly to the doctor at his side, whose heart seemed to have dropped the moment the words left his mouth. โ€But arenโ€™t you a mutant? Donโ€™t you have some abi-โ€ Ino held out a hand to cut him off mid-sentence and met his elderโ€™s gaze, โ€Unfortunately, us mutants arenโ€™t very fond of radiation. Nobody is. It may have birthed us, but thatโ€™s the only grace it shows us. Anything further than that is completely unbiased.โ€ It was a shell leftover from the war. The manโ€™s squad stumbled on it, and the minor movement of rocks was enough to make it go off. None of the soldiers died from the initial explosion, but as soon as their geiger counters started going up, they booked it. The only one slow enough to be caught by the radiation was this unfortunate individual right here.

โ€My ideology is that as long as thereโ€™s hope, Iโ€™ll try my damndest to keep them from falling under. But that mindset requires me to be a realist, so I can gauge just how much of a chance I have at keeping those under my care alive. The only solace I can offer is how long he has left to live. Probably five hours at best.โ€ He stepped away from the cell and glanced over at the other patients, those which fell victim to less lethal wounds and were merely waiting on their recovery time, โ€If heโ€™s got a wife or any relatives out of this base, Iโ€™d advise they have their last words with him.โ€ He skimmed over the other patients and deduced they didnโ€™t require his attention, besides, growing the extensions was a bit tiring to do first thing in the morning.

Ino closed the door to the medbay behind him and slid down the frame, leaning his scalp against the hard metal. โ€Worst part about it, thereโ€™s only going to be more when we get out thereโ€ฆโ€ Surely with the sight of an expertise unit, only more rebels would join the cause. The boy got to his feet once again, deciding not to dwell on it, and mentally prepared himself for the debriefing. His gaze trailed over to the window, staring out into the scape of incessant rain. "Really hope this weather lets up soon."

ใ€Œ"I'm here to help! Before you ask, no, I'm not a girl! Alright, let's get to work on putting your intestines back inside your belly."ใ€

Current Theme: Bloody Trek | Lyrics

Ino had a few options at his disposal. He could continue to lean his forehead and stare into the endless scape of rain, while being drenched in melancholy and ennui. Another viable route was to introduce himself to the group near the entrance earlier, with their leader hopefully being among their numbers. Lastly, he could simply make a beeline for his room like the shy girl from earlier, and even though that seemed like the most peaceful route, he subconsciously knew it was the wrong want to walk down. The medic sighed and pushed himself away from the pain of glass, quickly rubbing a hand against forehead to smooth out any cramps before glaring down the hall.

โ€Guess Iโ€™ll go say hi. Have to get to know my comrades, after all.โ€ The boy raised both of his arms high and placed one behind the other, then gave a quick stretch to boost his confidence. โ€Andโ€ฆ go!โ€ That would be another tally to how many times he had used that generic phrase, to find motivation in something so simple was quite pitiful. But Ino didnโ€™t take the time thinking in depth of what to shout out, innovative catchphrases were out of his directory. Since he lacked in originality, he sufficed in excelling in what he knew.

Rinse and repeat was the basis of his existence, rarely did he step out of the preset parameters he had stationed himself. Much like the rain, he only knew to do one action, and that was to assist others. But unlike the incessant downpour surrounding the base, he had his own will and attitude, which werenโ€™t exactly good points. But hopefully his teammates would get past that.

As he bounded his way down the hallway, Inoโ€™s nigh inaudible footsteps barely registered against the tile flooring, making his approach almost unnoticed. If he remembered the layout correctly, he would be arriving at that certain justโ€ฆ now. His instant didnโ€™t fail him, as there they were, along with a few more individuals. It was obvious that one duo had just walked in on an already spurring conversation, which involved two way too masculine guys flaunting about hormones like meal tickets, and a redheaded girl standing in the fray. Two others with brighter hued hairs walked in, soaked to the bone, โ€Thatโ€™s how you catch a coldโ€ฆโ€ He mumbled while peering around the corner. One girl made her departure, while the other remained and began introductions.

She was none other than Aurora, their day late leader. It was a bit unsettling how tall all of them were, except for the redheaded girl, who was roughly the same height as Ino. The boy nodded and timidly paced his way over, โ€Alright, have to sound as mature as possible! Like a true young adult!โ€ The white-haired medic arrived at the posse and gave a quick wave, took in a deep breath and opened his mouth, โ€Hi! My nameโ€™s Ino, the medic! I promise to keep you in one piece, kay~?โ€ He chirped out with a childish smile brimming with exuberance. Ino had only noticed what he had done a few moments later and instantly felt a great drop in morale, โ€What the hell was thatโ€ฆโ€ The boy quickly pieced himself back together and cleared his throat, โ€Erm. Sorry. Anyways... Pleased to meet your acquaintance. Also, Aurora, might want to change out of that later. Wouldn't want to get a cold.โ€

Did he do something wrong again? Kurai could honestly feel nothing but confusion as the man attempted to stare him down after putting down the woman, even giving a low growl at the back of his throat. His purpose, of course, was probably intimidation. For what? As he announced his name, however, a bell rang at the back of his head. The second in command. It was as if he was assuming the nature of dogs. The stronger you are, the more respect you would get. Kill or be killed, that was the rule in the natural world. Amazing. He couldn't help it but scrutinise Remus carefully, as if it was his first time seeing someone like him. In many ways, it was. People behaving like him these days were pretty rare, especially if they were around Kurai. Most of the people handling him had been warned, much to his disappointment, so they weren't so susceptible to his little disguise. But this was like a breath of fresh air.

He tilted his head to the side ever so slightly, giving the man the most innocent smile he could master. "It's Kurai. I would be the group's strategist, please look after me from now on, vice chief." His eyes widened slightly then and his smile dropped to a puzzled expression, as if he was just remembering something. He really took pride in his acting abilities, especially so if every reaction was planned out in detail. "Oh, and just in case you were wondering. I am usually a pushover, unless you really push me to the breaking point. But aren't we all." He met Remus's gaze just for a second with a knowing look, before the emotion in them changed into a carefree warmth once again. In was the best way. No need to let him have any wrong ideas about challenging his leadership. If possible, he'd rather not let him know his true nature too. Things would be much more interesting that way, to find himself being treated like a normal person.

They were interrupted by a woman with pink hair, introducing herself as the leader before addressing the red haired girl. He probably shouldn't cut in, interrupting was rude, so he chose to ignore her completely. And yet, she wasn't the only one who entered from the cold rain. Purple eyes studied her quickly. Assassin was his initial guess, but he might be wrong. One can never tell with her tired mannerisms, though it was unbecoming to underestimate someone just because they didn't look like they would put up a fight. Yet, she wasn't staying. He gave a short nod as she passed by, acknowledging her words. A sardonic smile crossed his face as she placed her wet sleeve on the second in command's shoulder. Oh this was an amusing team.

โ€Hi! My nameโ€™s Ino, the medic! I promise to keep you in one piece, kay~?โ€ Another person with silver hair entered, and he could feel himself giving the new addition a quick evaluation to determine his gender. Male. All the dimensions and anatomy of his body hinted that, though he was slightly taken aback at how he looked like the opposite gender. "It is nice to meet you all as well. My name is Kurai, and I will be your strategist. And I'll also be in charge of keeping you alive!" His personality shifted, taking on the exuberant tone the boy used in his introduction, though he didn't mean any offence in doing so. Fingers drumming out a small rhythm at the side of his leg, he waited for someone else to speak, a polite smile dancing on his lips.

ใ€ŒRain rain, came to play, should have come another dayใ€

Maria was now stuck between her future victim and a stranger, well a stranger whose name and face she already knew. She wasnโ€™t sure if they still qualified as a stranger at that point, but such a quandary was best left for other, more philosophical days. Right now, she had to spend her energy thinking how best to respond to someone who when told โ€œNoโ€ decides to do even more of the thing you told him not to do. Apparently, wherever he came from didnโ€™t understand the concept and now it was left to Maria to teach him. Simple things, really. Stuttering doors that open just enough that you can uncomfortably squeeze through, the lights above him flickering to an annoying degree, loud noises to wake him up far too early in the morning. Though he did say he didnโ€™t like rain, so maybe a sprinkler or two malfunctioning would work as well, though she was liable to actually get in trouble if she was caught doing that one. The wonders of technology and how they connect all the simple things to computers nowadays.

But, while she watched Remus and Kurai discuss things that she wasnโ€™t concerned with due to her inner discussion on how best to get back at a certain someone she had just met, the person she had actually gone to the door to greet appeared beside her. Pink strands dripping from the rain and sticking to skin as wet hair is wont to do, she introduced herself: Aurora. And, unsurprisingly, it wasnโ€™t just her hair that was thoroughly drenched in the water sheโ€™d stood under for whatever ungodly reason, her entire being might as well have been. From her boots to her cloak to every exposed thing there was to see and get wet, it was all heavy with the rain. After a brief moment of spite that desired to shove her wet body into the rain-hating Remus passed, she decided itโ€™d probably be good to have some sort of normality and reason take hold here. Allison, her quiet retreat back into the building ruined slightly by the sound of drops dripping and shoes squeaking had went towards food, and now another girl approached to introduce himself. The medic, apparently, named Ino and who enlightened our esteemed leader of the potential desire to change out of wet clothing, not to mention the health risks (good thing heโ€™s the medic) of not doing so.

While the other white haired boy, the one who actually looked like a boy, introduced himself as well rather than continue with Remus, a little extra instigation seemed necessary to move this away from the door and the damned rain it kept at bay. While most people had the common sense to not wander about in wet clothing lest they invite some sickness, the sense to not stand defenseless under the rain in the first place would reasonably have to come first. And, since Aurora didnโ€™t seem to have such a thing, a firm hand was applied. Directly on Auroraโ€™s back as she answered her request for an name, Maria turned her body and applied a slight force to try and get the soaking leader somewhere where other clothes could be put on.

โ€œMy nameโ€™s Maria, and you probably should change before you do anything else.โ€

Before the redheaded girl in front of her ever got the chance to introduce herself, someone else would appear and joined their conversation. A silver headed, feminine looking boy who was relatively short had approached them. "Hi! My nameโ€™s Ino, the medic! I promise to keep you in one piece, kay~?" She chuckled at the cheerfulness he showed when he first introduced. They certainly were turning out to be quite an interesting team.

"Erm. Sorry. Anyways... Pleased to meet your acquaintance. Also, Aurora, might want to change out of that later. Wouldn't want to get a cold." She frowned slightly as he apologized, finding it completely unwarranted. She glanced down as he noted her wet clothing, which truly wasn't bothering her at the moment. The notion of getting a code didn't even occur to her. Maybe it was best to change out of clothing.

Soon the auburn headed girl also spoke up, "My nameโ€™s Maria, and you probably should change before you do anything else." She said as she shoved Aurora slightly, ushering her to go change. "Since you're being so insistent, I'll go ahead and change now. She said with a slight smile, and was about to leave before a thought occurred to her.

"That reminds me, if you have anything important to do, make sure you do it soon. Later on we're having a short meeting to discuss our first mission that'll be soon." She said, before shortly leaving to go change. Navigating the place was simple, it was extremely similar to that of other bases that she's been in, and she'd be able to find her room in no time.

All of her luggage was sent ahead of time and unpacked, so everything should be exactly where it needed to be. Most of her wardrobe consisted of rather elegant clothes, but she settled on a long sleeved, white button up shirt and black dress pants. After wards she spent quite a lot of time mulling over the what exactly the mission was. Tokyo was considered the city where the rebellion was most active in, so there was no doubt that there'd be something they would pull soon.

The Rebellion was a rather mysterious group, no one knew much about them except the fact that whenever the NWG was doing something to progress in their attempt for "peace", the Rebellion would always be there to bring them back to where they started. The whole thing was basically a game of them chasing each other around, and so far there've been losses on both sides with no winner. 'But we're suppose to change all of that... Aurora pulled herself out of her own thoughts and decided it was best to think about it later, leaving her room and heading towards the mess hall.

Apologies for taking so long to post.
