Dela Seren

"So?"

0 · 232 views · located in Brugney

a character in “From Cats to Nekos”, originally authored by Alyx, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Name- Dela Seren

Nickname- Dell

Age-16

Appearance- Image

Species- Human

Likes- Photo-editing, martial arts, making clothes, nighttime, her cat

Dislikes- knitting, make up, meat, foster homes

Personality- She's very quiet and reserved. She doesn't usually follow orders if she thinks they are wrong. Dell's almost too level-headed. She doesn't get worked up about many things at all. It's irritating to some people, but it's her way of keeping herself separate from the rest of the world. She may not think before she acts, but she always thinks before she speaks. Her main loyalties are to her cat, since she's a little too aloof for people to be friends with her. She doesn't help unless asked for it, and she seems to be proud.

Bio- She's been shuttled through lots of orphanages and foster homes, since her mother died giving birth to her and her father died shortly after. Most cases, she doesn't stay very long, but this latest one is where she's been for the past two years. Other than changing houses every so often, she's had a pretty normal childhood.

Crush-TBA

So begins...

Dell moaned slightly as her eyes snapped open. She hated waking up. It was, for her, the start of another day among way too many idiots and people who get too worked up. The only thing she could stand was her cat. Fluffy, as her crazy foster parents had named him, should have been awake by now.
She yawned and sat up very slowly, to be confronted by a boy, without clothing, sleeping on her bed.
Dell raised an eyebrow. The window was open, but the screen wasn't cut...and she had just noticed the tail and ears. Added with the absence of Fluffy... "Alright, now where have you been exploring?"
She covered him up and lightly started shaking him. "Wake up..."
(She so does not seem like the kind of person to name a cat Fluffy...lol)

Fluffy

"Mmnnn..." Fluffy moaned in his sleep, completely unaware that his body had changed. Or, rather, after waking up the night before, he completely forgot all about it when he had gone back to sleep. "Dee...lemme sleep...." Sleepily, he lifted up a hand to try to swat away the hand that was shaking him, only to give up half-heartedly. Then, his eyes fluttered open. As his eyes focused on his owner, he lifted up a paw to scratch the back of his head only to find that his 'paw' was a human hand.

Fluffy jumped straight out of his owner's bed, the covers falling off of him as he began to freak out. His ears started twitching, his tail was whipping to and fro, and he began to cry.

"Dee, what happen? Why am I this? Put it back!" Fluffy was scared, cold, and hungry. He didn't really understand what was going on- all he remembered was going to sleep as a cat, then waking up as a....

"What am me, Dee? I look like you now...am I you?"

Blackie

"Morning Blackie."

If there was something Blackie loved more than anything, it was mornings. He always looked forward to the usual rustle on the head, since it was usually one of the only times he'd actually be petted instead of the dog. As his owner went into the bathroom, he opened his eyes and focused on waking up. However, he failed, and fell back asleep for a few moments more.

He woke up when he heard the bathroom door open, and got up and stretched. As he looked at himself, he was a little surprised. He had opposable thumbs! It was a miracle! Now his quest for world domination could begin....if he had such a quest in mind. Instead, he looked over at his owner. If he had hands like a human, and the body of a human, then that would mean he could talk like a human, right?

He would have words with her. Oh, yes. He was going to tell her what he thought of that damn dog and her preference to it.

Blackie puffed out his chest like some oh-so-high-and-mighty being, ready to let loose, when suddenly she turned around.

"Oh my god!!"

The next thing Blackie knew, his owner ran at him and hit him in the stomach, hard. "Oof!" Blackie gasped as all the air went right out of him.

"Who are you!"

Blackie was simply too winded to answer. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the dog shamble in. After Blackie glared at him like he usually did, the dog simply walked away.

"Who are you?"

Blackie's tail twitched in annoyance. Who do you think? He told her mentally. He would have growled at her if he could.

"Blackie?"

DING DING DING! Let's see a prize for our winner! Blackie thought sarcastically. Despite his rather rude thoughts, Blackie simply nodded, then, seeing how her guard was down, he took his chance. He grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her to the side, making sure she landed safely on her bed. Then, he rolled over and repeatedly poked her in the side of her face, glaring at her.

"What. Kind of. Owner. Hits. Their pet." Still a bit winded, Blackie spoke abruptly. "It's. Me. You. Damnable. Woman." He poked her with each word, as if maybe he could poke the recognition into her. His ears twitched.

She almost smiled as her cat tried to swat her. Almost human or not, Fluffy was still Fluffy. "You're so lazy..."
And then he figured out what happened, freaking out. He was sort of excitable. "Dee, what happen? Why am I this? Put it back!"
Dell knew he was probably really confused, waking up human when he was a cat. "What am me, Dee? I look like you now...am I you?"
She looked at her cat. "Calm down. Breathe in...breathe out. I think you've been exploring somewhere you shouldn't have. You're not me...you're not even completely human. C'mon."
She picked up the blanket he had thrown aside, and wrapped it around him again. "We're going to find you some clothes, then find you a mirror, and then you're going to tell me what you've done in the last few days.

Fluffy

"Calm down. Breathe in...breathe out. I think you've been exploring somewhere you shouldn't have. You're not me...you're not even completely human. C'mon."

Dela's gentle words calmed Fluffy down considerably. He stopped crying, although he still sniffled from time to time. As Dell put the blanket around him again, Fluffy rubbed up against her affectionately like he always did whenever he was near her and made a purring sound.

"We're going to find you some clothes, then find you a mirror, and then you're going to tell me what you've done in the last few days."

"Food?" Fluffy asked tentatively. His stomach growled, and Fluffy kept a blank look on his face as he followed his owner wherever she went. "Kitties and me...mew...purple stuff....meow...." As Fluffy tried to explain himself, for he remembered where he went the night before (but not when he turned into a human), he found himself getting frustrated. There were some words in the human language he simply didn't know. His lack of knowledge annoyed him greatly.

"We drank it. Next thing, meow meow meow! Me like you!" Fluffy was just a kitten, yes, but he wasn't exactly dumb. He knew that being inept at speaking the human language made him sound stupid, and he hated it.

Blackie

When Blackie was handed his food, he scarfed it down like there was no tomorrow. He wouldn't admit it straight out, but he actually really liked Alex's cooking. He did say between bites, however, "So good." It was mumbled, but definitely loud enough to hear, just barely.

"Oh yeah just call me Alex not woman. Or should I call you cat instead of Blackie."

When she said this, Blackie glared at her a little bit, then replied, "Well, maybe I would call you Alex if you would call me Kuro. I hate the name Blackie..." Blackie huffed a little bit, then drank the water he was given. At first, he lapped at it, then figured out that he could just drink it.

"Alright we are gonna go to the store and get you some good cloth. Maybe I could bring Pudding too if you don't mind?"

As soon as the dog was mentioned, Blackie gave her another glare and had a pouty look on his face. However, he simply could not deny his owner anything. Whether wanted to admit it or not, he actually loved Alex (well, in the way cats love their owners). She was always so energetic, which Blackie liked. The one thing he had a problem with...

"I guess that damn dog can come. It's not like I care." Blackie sighed, rolling his eyes. He was lying, of course, but he hated seeing a sad look on his owner's face. So she liked the dog better. So what? He totally didn't care. He wasn't jealous or anything, of course not, who would think that? It wasn't like he wanted to be the one petted and played with and loved on and and and....

Shaking his head, as if by doing so the thoughts might fly out, Blackie got up from the table and followed Alex out the door. As they went to where they were going, Blackie was constantly distracted by all the sights and sounds. He was even too curious to be bitter about anything as he sometimes asked what something was or what the human word for something was.

"You would just drink some random purple stuff, wouldn't you?" Dell said affectionately. "Do you know who else was drinking it?"
She went into her office, in the attic, and looked around. "You're so lucky that I'm always designing clothes..." She grabbed a simple white tee and a pair of olive green bermuda shorts. "Put them on...and yes, we'll think about breakfast. What will you eat? I'm pretty sure it's omelettes or waffles this morning."
She tapped her chin, thinking. "I'm sure you could drink milk, not so sure about other stuff...Ready, Fluffy?" Dell frowned slightly. Calling Fluffy Fluffy would just be weird, at this point, even if he was her adorable cat.

Dell almost laughed at Fluffy's enthusiasm about food. She had gotten the gist of things when he was a cat, but now that he was speaking in a language she could understand, it was almost too cute.
She smiled, ruffling his hair. "I don't have a tummy ache. I was just thinking that it's weird to call you Fluffy when you look human...I have the weirdest foster parents. Honestly, what kind of a name is Fluffy for a cat?"
She shook her head, her red hair whipping around her face. "Now let's get breakfast, then worry about everything else."
Dell started making a waffle. She didn't feel like eating the omelette her foster mother had made her, and left it for Fluffy. He'd probably like it.
