Toji Okami

"I'm gonna find a pack of my own, and have fun doing it!!"

0 · 87 views · located in The Kingdom of Caledonia

a character in “Frozen Hearts”, as played by Hellbreaker

Description

Age: 18
•Physical description: SLender, but well muscled, this young man is capable of surprising feats of strength. Strangely, he also has electric blue hair.He tends to wear shin length pants, and sleeveless shirts. He also wear running boots and fingerless gloves. His main color scheme consists of black and white, though he'll switch it up and wear anything that's loose and easy to move in.He has a strnge, star shaped tatoo/scar on his shoulder, and tribal tatoos on his face, and arms.
•Personality:Not exactly cocky, but extremely confident, so it might appear so. He's also loyal, and kind of odd, referring to any close freind as a 'pack member.'As you might guess, his favorite animal is the wolf.He also might be slightly demented, and is certaintly wild. He's gentle with the innocent, but is hell on anyone who's willing to hurt for power or pleasure.People less tolerent would call him obnoxius, and annoying, but he's Toji, no matter what.As he's in a habit of saying,"Why change what's amazing?"He also, surprisingly, is a bit of sceintist, being fasinated, with the concept of powered armor, and other things. He also has a hot head, so someone could take avantage of this. He doesn't like talking about his 'real' family. With people he likes and respects, he's rather cheeky, snarking and bantering goodnaturely with them. This is different with people he detests. With them, he get's silent, and grim.
Equipment and Abilities. He carries a ninjato style sword, jet black. He is able to control various types of electricity, though not well yet. He's capable of being stealthy when need be, and is also strong enough to take on a normal strength oppenant head on. He's highly agile, often preforming acrobatic attacks on his foes.
•Historical Background: He was birn in a relativy 'normal' home, that is, if normal was judgement and narrow minded. When the baby came out with blue hair, there was a great scandal. Fearing the social backlash, his so called parents carted him off, giving him to a distant relative. As this relative was distant in all things, the young man grew up alone in all but name. He eventually took off, taking the family sword with him, and has been living alone ever since, trying to find someone to accept him.

So begins...

A voice spoke out from the cell next to Jennifers."Hey, relax, yah? We'll both be out of here soon enough....Just got to wait for that fat lazy slop they call a gaurd...." Suddenly, there's heavy steps coming down the hall, accompinied by heavy breathing. The voice speaks again."AHA! George, I know that's you. Gotta lay off the butter buns, my lad!!" The gaurd speaks angirly."Shut it, freak, or I'll use this sword of yours to remove your tongue. I'll deal with you in a minute, as soon as I...check...on the new prisoner." The little window opens, and a heavily whiskered, fatty face leers in.The voice speaks again."Leave the girl alone, you lard-ridden, greaze soaked, rat snorting bacon-filcher!!" Growling, the guard turns."THAT'S IT!! I HAVE BEEN HASSLED BY YOU EVER SINCE YOU GOT INTO THIS HELL-HOLE, AND NOW I'M GONNA SILENCE YOU ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!!"

Jennifer laughed nervously at the off-handed insults her unknown prisoner companion had made towards the guard. She stood back up and took advantage of the little window on her door being open and peered through it out into the damp hallway of the prison. It was poorly lit but some light filtering in through the open doors of unoccupied cells allowed for some illumination. She tried to see down the hall to the door next to her where the voice had come from but the window was small and limited her viewing range.

'What did he mean we just had to wait for the guard to be out of here?' she wondered. 'Does he know the way out?' Her thoughts went back and forth between elation at the prospect of escaping wrongful imprisonment, worry as to what this rather large, seemingly aggressive guard was going to try to do to "silence" her neighbor prisoner and what he meant by "checking on her". She was locked in a room with nothing to help her escape. What did he think she could do?

Her higher lived lifestyle left her rather ignorant making her feel stupid which made her frustrated. This was causing a slight hum to build up in her body - something that seemed to happen every time things started to fly around the room. She paced back and forth a moment then went back to the door and tried in vain to look out the little window again.

As the guard went into the other sound, the sounds of battle erupted.THere were bellows from the guard, and wild howls from the mysterious prisoner.Suddenly, the prisoner shouts out,"SPIRAL PUNISHER!", and then a heavy thud follows that. The prisoner calmly whistles, and there's the jingling of keys as he approaches Jennifer's cell. The door creaks open, and a slender, blue haired youth is revealed, a wild grin on his face. He tosses the keys gently at Jennifer."There we go, as promised. Free yourself, and we'll be on our way."He adjusts a sword sheath located on his back, leaning against the door sill.

Jennifer caught the keys and looked at them in her hands then back at the individual standing in front of her.

"I don't have chains on so I think you just did that for me," she said. She moved a little trying to look past him. She didn't see anyone else there... "You made a lot of noise..." she commented, worried more guards would come. An awkward moment of silence passes and no one else arrived.

She bit her lip trying to think of what to do next. "Um, I'm Gem," she said holding out her hand. "You are?"

Toji grins confidently at the girl."I'm the most amazing person you'll ever have the fortune to meet. And my name is....TOJI OKAMI!!" His bellow echoed through out the halls."And don't worry about the gaurds. If they try to stop us, I think they'll be in for a...." Electricity courses through his hair"...shock...." His head jerks up, feeling another source of lightning."Another lightning weilder?...Impossible..." He grins, looking at Gem."Well, Gem...Let's go!!! We got things to do, gaurds to fight!!" He starts walking, his sword out and held in reverse grip.

It is at that unfortunate moment that Korzion decides that he isn't really interested in anything the streets have to offer this late at night, and so begins to make his way toward the keep. Having gained the trust of the local lords a while back, he is able to get in without too much struggle. That's when he hears the shouting. Soon after, he's pinpointed the source, and begins making his way toward the dungeons, keeping his hands within his sleeves for now. The sound his plated boots make upon the ground are nothing short of a small cacophony. Certainly anyone would be able to hear him coming far down the hall, but the Valyrian man doesn't mind much. If it's prisoners, they'll be trapped. If they're guards, then getting the jump on them would be unfortunate for all parties involved.

((I do not know why the NPC bartender is there, btw.))

"I would really rather avoid more trouble," said Gem as she stepped cautiously into the hallway outside the cell she'd occupied. She was thankful to Toji for letting her out, but she was not particularly fond of the idea of following him. He was clearly quite familiar with violence and she was definitely not partial to the idea of fighting more guards.

"I'd just like to leave the prison, nothing more," she added to emphasize the point that she didn't like the idea of fighting. She was already charged with witchcraft. Breaking out of prison would be added to the list now that she'd stepped out of her cell and she didn't like the idea of adding more charges to that short list that was growing faster than she would ever have liked. Aiding a fellow escapee with attacks to guards and possibly murder at that? Not her idea of a party. Unfortunately, the knowledge that she wouldn't be able to get out of the situation by going by the rules was growing in her mind.

She looked behind her at the stairs that led to the next floor of the prison. Before Toji noticed - since he was looking away from her, possibly in the direction he felt the other lightning user, Gen dashed up the stairs and to the main floor. When she looked over her shoulder to look and see if the crazy kid had followed her she ran headlong into someone. Panicked that it was a guard, she jumped back and put her hands up knowing that enough fear would trigger the weird purple electric-like power she seemed to have sometimes. Instead, she was looking at Korzion, the man who'd tried to help her once very shortly after her mother died.

"It's you!" she said dropping her hands and trying to shake off the tingling feeling that came with the purple energy she conducted. "You have no idea how glad I am that it's you and not more prison guards!" The relief clearly showed on her face.

Korzion is suddenly hit in the stomach by a rapidly moving object that turns out to be a small girl. One he'd seen before at that. He gives a soft half-smile. "Gem? Now what would a noble Lady like yourself be doing in dungeons such as this? Why are you wearing such plain clothes? And why would you of all people be afraid of...more prison guards, hmm?" he asks, his voice as soft and calm as it usually is, though his tone is tinged with curiosity. "Been getting into trouble, have we? In any case, it can't be so bad as to restrict the rights of a nice young lady such as yourself. Let us leave this place. The guards shall be silent with a bit of gold to line their empty pockets."

The burned man turns, then, not looking to see if Gem's following as he walks down the dark hallway toward the alternate exit to the castle's east wall, which leads then almost directly out into the city. It's a fairly obvious flaw in security, but it expedited things when it came to imprisonment, which is presumably why it still existed. In any case, Korzion speaks little as they walk, seemingly looking straight ahead but in reality paying attention to every little detail that his senses provide. He would much rather not get into a scuffle with prison guards or whoever was yelling down here before. It would not make his mission any easier.

A sound begins to form in the distance, like a constant rolling thunder. And then it begins to grow louder and louder until it becomes so loud that it sounds as if there is a great legendary beast at the gates. Everyone in this area of the city has quieted and looks to the gates. The sound subsides momentarily, and there is the sound of guards shouting and a loud crack, as if a small explosive charge has gone off. And then, suddenly, a massive harpoon explodes through the gate, the many large splinters it creates impaling a guard who looks on curiously, leaving the gate completely defenceless from this side. And then, the harpoon retracts back into wherever it came from, and pulls the gate off its hinges with it, throwing it aside like a used toothpick. Then, the roaring grows to massive proportions again as an equally massive machine made of iron bursts through the opening, shaped as one of the hammerhead sharks that inhabit Dragonsgate's bay, the front covered liberally with blades and points. A large projectile weapon containing a harpoon within its barrel also sits upon the front, swiveling of what seems to be its own volition. The people in the square all begin to scream as soon as the situation truly hits them, the section of the city turning to chaos in an instant.

If Gem were to say anything, it would go unheard, as Korzion scoops her up and mutters, "Change of plans," running towards a different section of the city. The massive machine of iron drives itself into the square on wheels of metal and rubber, copper and brass pipes curving from beneath it belching black smoke into the air, causing mild suffocation to any surrounding it. And then, from behind the dirty glass that protects the round cockpit from wind stands a dirty-looking man with a scraggly brown beard and a cap, goggles strapped over his eyes and obscuring his gaze within their foggy, scuffed glass surface. How anyone can see in those is a mystery.

"LISTEN UP!" He bellows in a rough, heavily accented voice, "Yer bein' raided! 'And over yer women and wine if ye'd like ta avoid a sufferin' most unpleasant." He raises the L-shaped contraption in his hand so that the opening at the end points toward the sky, and a bang rings out with a puff of smoke from the thing. Needless to say, this attracts the attention of everyone in the city. "Me mates'll be arrivin' shortly, an' I'd like ta 'ave this place cleared out by then. Understand?" He grins widely, revealing teeth filed into points. A raider from the Southern Wastes is unheard of this far north, yet clearly here he was, demanding their valuables with no fear at all, despite the guards closing on his vehicle, moving slowly as if that will make the man's attention shift from them. It does not. He smirks as he lowers his contraption to point it at one of the guards, and pulls the brass trigger...
