Description

Image

Name: Rin Sohma
[1][2][3]
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Zodiac Animal: The God; The Head
Deeper Description:
Rin is a beautiful short statured young lady with a noticeably calm air and demeanor. With long dark hair and dark purple eyes, she is considered unique.
She also sports fair skin, and along with that, a petite body which seems to address her youthly self. -Only she is a bit too small, as some keen eyes notice as she walks past. This is a result from the stress she received in the past and present, along with the health issues she holds now, unfortunately enough for her. With the miserable fate, Rin's expressions are calm and actually stoic. A smile is like rain in the desert, so rare and when it happens, good news is sure to follow for the sohma. Or better news then they were having. However cruel smiles, haughty ones as well, are most commonly seen, and is a sign of misfortune for those who see it...

Now for clothing, She wears many different type of clothes, but is mostly seen wearing her kimono that is loose and silky to the touch, making it as light as a feather. This is for her comfort, as she hates the feeling of weight, both mentally and physically, on her shoulders. However if she was ever to go out for a formal dressing, she always has a sparr of common clothing to wear in the closet.

Personality:
Rin is known to be cold, unfeeling and, in a sense, evil. And she is, or rather most of the time.
So Basically, she is two faced, and her most common mask is the godly one of evil, the one most hated and feared, while her other self is just a girl who seeks attention and love.. But this is unknown to even her, and she buries her rare kindness with frustration and anger, for burdens weigh her down like balls of iron of imprisonment. To make it worse, her weak body falls to pain frequently, causing both her mental and physical to frustrate her. But it also scares her senseless.
Everything scares her, from the spasm attacks, to the curse of the family, which is rather odd to hear. But its true, Rin is secretly scared of fate of them, Sohmas. She cant comprehend this feeling of fear though, and has a difficult time, solving problems because of that. She misunderstands this fear to be anger. So She doesnt know what to do, and lashes out on others for relief, and will turn to violence/power to help, for its the easy way out. Though this doesnt change the fact that she vents out on others when she too is in pain. This can be planned on a horriable memory and line she heard at the wrong time, and the wrong place. "Family are always together. Even through pain. They will share the PAIN" Quoted by her leaders.
Anywho, what she feels about the zodiac is a mix of feelings. But basically she envies them, and wants them to love her. though as you can see, she has a hard time figuring out her wants and needs, confusing them with the past happenings. For example, she was hurt by her parents, and she learned parents love their children no matter what. So hurt = Love.
Its strange, but she isnt as mental as she is told here. Usually a calm expression, shown as the one below is often seen instead of anger surprisingly.

Special Skills:
- Music in general, all the way from instruments, to her voice which now weakens with every high note.
- Art like traditional dancing and painting.
- Intelligence - She is quick at understanding anything that doesnt have to do with human emotions, and things of non-logic.
'She attempts to succeed and perfect anything in her ability since she hates being useless, and weak. However not everything is possible for her.. For example physical talents are out of her bounds.'

Likes:
  • Peace
  • Attention 'She doesn't admit it, nor does she know about it herself.'
  • Loyalty
  • Calm weather.
  • Being Successful

Image
"Who is that."

Dislikes:
  • Intruders.
  • Pain/Death
  • Being abandon.
  • Her past.
  • Sickness.
  • Burden, Weight.

History:
Rin was born under- well she doesn't remember who exactly.. Odd.
However she holds "fond" yet haunting memories of the two she supposedly loved the most, and those who loved her the most. Her parents. Though it was strange, for these memories were actually nightmares. It was filled with, Abuse, tears, and pain. Specifically, A women beating her with a pleasant smile on her face and the words "I love you." was frequently shown, and was engraved in her mind, messing up her definitions of love. Really, why would anyone think of that nightmare as a loving memory. Though this was rin, and she had nothing as a child. Not a friend, a doll, or the sky. She also knew nothing, other then her fate. For she was cursed with the role of death, other words, the head of the zodiacs. Being imprisoned in the walls for most of her life, with her parents who supposedly were the past heads who were "expired" or "defected". A new offspring was needed aka her. What a lovely bunch they were. Her mother was mental while her father- well, he wasent anything. She herself was a girl who knew nothing other then beatings, which were defined as "love." A sad existence, but she didnt know. She didnt know anything, other then-
She was a sacrifice.
So at the age of 11, she was finally free from her parents. But then was stuck in a whole new situation. And for her parents. Well- all she remembers is this memory. Continuing onto her "new" chapter, Rin lived in the same ways of 4 closed in walls, but this time, the biggest thing, was a window was granted. Small but large enough to see the garden and the sky. Oh and children. Yes, what she learned of, the zodiac children. The ones whom she was living for, and thus they were living for her. 'Family' Or so she perceived them to be. Funny though, she never met them, only.. watched from that window as they played and fought. But how she enjoyed it. She was happy or so she thinks, and she promised to love them like her mother did. Yes, they would love her too. So pleased with the thought, she attended her closed in lessons, and grew, only to be knowledgeable of more things. Of the dirty world. Humans. The joy of meeting one at first, her first "crush" however her curse turned upon them, and their secret was out. Her family's secret was out. That human rejected her family, so in return she rejected him with cruelty. And she finally recognized what pain was. Her hatred grew, and thus negative emotions replaced those of a positive ones.

"I'll protect them."

Anything Else:
- Like the previous heads, she was cursed with horrible health, and a weak body. Lung disease is her worst.

Keiko Sohma

Keiko was somewhat delighted with how the morning was turning out. Yes, she had to get up early, but it was to see Rin so it was all worth it. And she didn’t have to worry about being late because Ichirou had already offered her a ride to school. She didn’t want to accept so he wouldn’t be late for work, but he kept insisting. Rin had already dismissed everyone, but Keiko sat in her place, to Rin’s right, as everyone else got up to leave. She didn’t want to leave Rin all by herself … she would at least wait till someone came to make sure Rin at least got back to her room. Ichirou would be willing to wait till she came out. It was a nice, warm spring morning after all. “It was nice seeing you again, Rin. I’ve missed you a lot,” Keiko said with a smile. “I’ve been very busy with school though and meetings … it’s been hard to sneak away from all the outside things. How have you been? You haven’t been feeling sick, have you?” Ichirou had always told her it was pointless to try and make conversation with Rin, but Keiko loved trying. After all, Keiko loved Rin more than anything.

Ichirou Sohma

The gathering hadn’t taken long, and naturally, Ichirou was one of the first out the door. He hated the atmosphere whenever everyone was gathered. It was nice seeing everyone, but there was something in the air that just made him choke. He took a giant breath of springtime air, making him feel slightly better. “Man,” he sighed as he made his way out the front gate. “Has it always been that depressing in there?” Ichirou’s car hadn’t been parked too far from the front gate, so when Keiko walked out, she would see him. She had a thing about smoke, so he tried not to smoke in his car when he knew she was going to be in it. Keiko never complained, but he could tell she didn’t like it. “May as well light one up while I’m waiting,” Ichirou said, pulling out a carton of cigarettes. As the other members of the Juunishi left, he waved, puffing out smoke every now and then. He would be willing to give anyone that needed a ride one, as long as they were willing to wait.

Ichirou didn’t understand how Keiko could actually want to spend so much time with the Head. Even to someone like Keiko, Rin was short tempered … but even when Keiko gets hurt, the only thing Ichirou does is cry. Deep down, he wants to stop Rin from hurting Keiko and everyone else … but there was some force keeping him from doing anything. Ichirou took in another deep lung-full of smoke before looking at his watch. The first was done, so he pulled out another one and lit it up. “Hopefully she’s okay.”

Rin inhaled quietly as she dismissed her family from the meeting, not feeling so well. Her body was weak, and her sight was blurred. Her breathing too was painful, but she kept quiet, for this happens daily, so why complain?
Watching the zodiacs leave, seeing a few glares and weary stares, she reacted with a passive face. Hate was all she recieved from a few of them, some pity and others..well didn't even care for her. How dare they.... Feeling her fingers curl into a tight ball of collect anger, she gripped her loose dark kimono, wrinkling its silky fabric.
However in the corner of her eye, she saw familiar and almost irritating white hair. But strangely, and unknowingly she felt slight relief from seeing this. Only slight. It was the rat. Keiko.
This zodiac always confused her. She was her most seen family member, and she always attempted to speak with her, even though she always ignored her in the end. Maybe Keiko was trying to suck up to her. It wouldnt have been a surprise, a bunch of people do so, even if they werent a zodiac. Dirty humans. Her eyes narrowed slightly at this, remembering a familar and scared face from the past.

'Get away from me, your whole family is a freak!'

That hateful quote. Staring at the wall before her, a burning hole could have been formed seeing how heated her stare was. "..."

“It was nice seeing you again, Rin. I’ve missed you a lot,” Keiko said with a smile. “I’ve been very busy with school though and meetings … it’s been hard to sneak away from all the outside things. How have you been? You haven’t been feeling sick, have you?”

'Liar.' Turning her head slightly, giving her a glance, she studied her expression. Its always the same. Kind and genuine. It hurts just watching her talk. Looking away, she remained expressionless. Idiotic questions. Why ask how she was? Everyone knew that she was always sickly! She was always stuck in four walls in pain. Why do people remind her of that! Her finger nails drew blood from her palms as she tightened. "It hurts." Was her answer, as she made eye contact with her. Dark cold purple eyes meeting soft gold. Gleam of hurt could have been seen in her eyes, hating how nice this rat was. It was irritating, and it hurts.
It wasent the same look her mother gave her, Keiko gave her a different look. It was strange and new.

Kohaku Sohma
ImageImage

Watching the head dismiss them, she took her time to stand, as she didn't want to appear rude. It was a lesson to be well mannered during meetings after all. 'Don't hurry yourself Haku or you will look prude..' A masculine voice told her, and she made sure to follow thoroughly.
Dusting off her black school uniform, her male uniform, she bowed towards Rin and greeted Keiko with a nod, before heading off, every step paced and graceful. However if you noticed, the whole male uniform, you could see that she wasent a she, she was a "he". More like a cross dresser actually.
Kohaku's hair was pinned up into a male cut, and her red eyes unconsciously narrow, making her appear male. Plus bounds were wrapped around her feminine areas as well. Only a few knew of her real gender, such as the residence of the shrine. She wasent even sure if the head knew of her secret...Hopefully not.
Passing by a maid, the women bowed hast fully and greeted her. "Good morning Kohaku-sama." A kind smile pulled at her neutral face. "You too Kagime-san." The women blushed hard, before racing off with a giggle.
Strange females.
Watching the women turn the corner, she continued her way to the front of the gates only to see the boar. She blinks. "Good morning Ichirou." She greeted smoothly, her voice neutral and calm, causing it to sound genderless. But it leaned to more male. 'Wonder if he knows of me..?'
Really, she hoped not. Despite her dislike of being addressed as a male, secretly, she didn't want everyone to know her real gender. It may spread and well, that would be troubling. Her deceased brother would have been troubled too. But maybe he'll call her, her brother's name- Haku, they did look alike, except for a few masculine traits.

Keiko Sohma

Keiko looked at Rin, her eyes filled with concern. “What hurts? Do you need medical attention? I can get someone or call someone if you need me to,” Keiko said, fumbling with her things. “You shouldn’t wait so long to tell people if you’re in pain. It could end up badly … do you need some medicine?” Keiko glanced at her watch, not sure whether she would be late to school or not. “Masuyo! Masuyo,” she said, rushing to the hallway. “Masuyo-san, can you please go and get some of Rin’s medicine? On second thought, please stay with her. I have to get to school, Yoko-san,” she said, stopping another maid, “Can you please go and get Rin’s medicine?” Keiko ran back into the room, bowing deeply to Rin. “My deepest apologies, Rin, but I have to hurry off to school. I promise to come after school as soon as I can to check on you.”

Ichirou Sohma

Ichirou smiled as Kohaku passed by, sending him a good morning. “Good morning Kohaku, nice to see ya. Need a ride?” Then Daisuke popped up.

"Yo, let me bum one off of you will ya," gesturing towards the pack of cigarettes as he always did whenever he was at one of the meetings. "Pretty lame huh seemed sort...or maybe I fell asleep," he said, chuckling slightly.

Ichirou smiled at his friends as he held the pack towards him. “Knock yourself out, kid,” he said, taking another puff of his own. “Tell me about it. I hate these things. Especially when they make the kids late for school. I don’t really care about being late for work, but I mean, people like Keiko can’t afford to miss school.” As if on cue, Keiko walked out of the main gate looking worried. “Hey Keiko, what’s wrong?”

“Just worried about leaving Rin alone is all …” Keiko smiled at Ichirou, holding her breath.

“Sorry,” Ichirou said, throwing his cigarette onto the floor, stomping it out and waving away the smoke. “Ready to go? I was thinking later we could go to the park and do some star gazing if you wanted. Of course it would be after you do your homework.” Ichirou pat Keiko’s head, smiling.

“Sounds like fun,” she said with a smile. “I might have student council duties after school.”

“That’s okay … I’ll pick you up.” Ichirou opened the door for her, looking up at Daisuke. “You feel like tagging along?”

Rin Sohma

Rin felt her lips tighten into a thin line as the female beside her rambled on. Now Why did her heart seem to tighten as well with pain and-...
'What.. is this feeling?' She questioned, but quickly caught up with reality as she felt the slight shift beside her.
The rat raced to the hall, causing her to tsk slightly. Really, why bother.. If she was dead, she was sure they would all celebrate.. Stupid keiko.
“Masuyo! Masuyo,” she said rushing to the hallway. “Masuyo-san, can you please go and get some of Rin’s medicine? On second thought, please stay with her. I have to get to school, Yoko-san,” she said, stopping another maid, “Can you please go and get Rin’s medicine?”
With that, Rin observed the maids with a heated look causing them to cringe in hesitance. But with no choice, they both stepped forward and huddled around her, pampering her like always.. 'fakes..'
All the maids were, and they didnt even try to hide their fear or disgust when they look at the others including herself. That is why most disappear from the main house within weeks.. She couldn't have them looking at her family like that.. With that irritating thought, she focused her attention on keiko, her anger growing.
“My deepest apologies, Rin, but I have to hurry off to school. I promise to come after school as soon as I can to check on you.” Taking a short glance at her, she saw her white hair turning the corner, leaving her alone with a few other members. "Don't bother.." She mumbled to herself, before calmly taking in the medicine the maids were handing her. Pills after pills. Still no help, it only hid the pain. An illusion. What makes it worse is that the maids knew nothing but what they were told. Useless. Deciding to give herself to someone more reliable, she began Looking around until she spotted a familiar doctor and with a mere knowing glance, the male walked forward. Tatsou the dragon zodiac, and her family medic.
"What is it rin." The man dismissed the maid, who in turn left happily. "It hurts." She repeated, actually not sure where the pain was coming from.
Frowning, Tatsou kneeled beside her and rested a hand on her forehead then her lungs with a look of consideration. "Where."
"I don't know.." She replied, and with that, the dragon drew back his hand. "Well after everyone leaves, ill assist you.."
And with no response, she waited for all to leave, and slowly her room emptied...
Feeling his fingers wrap around her lung area, he told her to breath slowly like the normal procedures- but she laid a hand on his own, stopping him from any other motion. "Yes?"
"Watch them."
"....Alright." "Now." Ryuu studied her expression only to find- nothing. Seeing no point in talkign her out of it, he stood up and ordered maids to watch her. He never knew what she was going to do... who knew if she was planning some scheme. "..."

Kohaku Sohma

Kohaku shook his head politely ,beaming a soft smile. "Thanks for the offer though." However she saw him turn his attention on his favorite and supposedly most prefered zodiac.. Keiko. The rat.
Giving her half a nod, she stopped mid-way when she noticed the ram descending from the stair way with trouble lingering around him. 'ugh..' Really- Hey Haku where could I find some grub around here? After all I did have to rush over here to get to this meeting. Missed breakfast on the" that was a lie. He didn't rush, in fact he was one of the last to arrive. But he had his reasons to stay around the main house. "I bet you sneak in the kitchen and eat all the sweets" -he always teased her and it didnt really bother her but what bothered her was his persistency... "You would know." She replied blunty, her eyes studying his espression, not liking how he grinned. Trouble.
“Why you picking on poor Haku?”
She sighed. Double trouble. But she inwardly grinned, when she saw bloomings of red on the ram's cheek. Her red and usually emotionless eyes, gleamed with michevous. Oh..she was going to enjoy this. Pondering on what she was going to do, she continued to watch the interaction, and resisted to grab his hand and twisting it around.
"Dont be such a weenie Daisuke-chan...hmm...where is a good spot to eat?...My apartment is near by, i can whip something up if you'd like?" Rei said with a grin, not sure if he was going to take the offer.
Ah hah. Polietly smiling, he stepped into the conversation. "Please wait a second Rei." Swirling on hs heels, he sprinted towads the main house and leaped over the wall, leading to the kitchen. Looking around, she entered and opened a small fridge, which revealed a small cake with all 12 zodiacs. What a waste.. she wanted to eat it so badly.. but it was going to be worth it. Plucking off a few things, she boxed it, and with the same grace, she returned within seconds. "Here have some desert later." She said, with an innocent face, before handing it to the boar. what a nice thing to do, but if anyone knew Kohaku, it would have appeared strange and almost rare for her to give away a cake, just like that. But maybe she was being nice? "Look at the cake Daisuke, its special.." She teased quietly, her tone barely noticable. Eagerly, she nodded towards the box, and wondered what his reaction was going to be.
-
A maid entered the kitchen, dropping some dishes on the table, only to see 10 peculiar objects. "Oh its the zodiacs- hm..? Where is the boar and the monkey... ah well...- wait..WHERE IS MY HEART CHOCOLATE!"
-
The cake was covered in white fondate, and was rather plain, however on the top, laid a ram and a monkey, both close together, maybe too close? And under was a heart chocolate that was gently pressed in the cakes surface.
-

Tatsou 'Ryuu' Sohma

Ryuu massaged his temples as he stepped outside in the hall. Really. He couldnt think of a damn reason why he had to go to that highschool. He was already a house doctor, and being how busy he was, he didnt know how he'll work this out.. He had no choice anyways..
Making his way to the front of the house, he saw a couple of zodiacs in the distance. "..late for class.." He murmered, but he didnt bother to go to them. ".." Lifting his cell to his ear, he waited a moment then began to speak. "Hi, I was wondering if they're any teacher spots avalabile-"

Yoshino Mei Sohma

Yoshino woke up during the early hours of the morning, early enough to sit and enjoy watching the sun rise before she thought about preparing for the long day ahead of herself. She was in the shower when she heard her fellow Sohma's, or at least the one's she lived at the Shrine with, get up and begin their own day.

This was her cue to get a move on and she quickly finished up, dried off and got dressed in the high school uniform she was required to wear. By the time she was ready to leave her room she had dried her white-pink hair and placed the long strands in two loose ponytails below her ears and her school blouse and skirt were perfectly creased in all the proper areas. A quick glance in her mirror told her she was good to go and, without another moment's hesitation, the Tiger of the Zodiac grabbed her school bag, shoved her feet into her shoes and confidently strode from the room.

She had a meeting, then school, to attend.

---

After the meeting, Yoshino tiredly rolled her piercing red eyes as she stepped from the large house the 'God' lived in. How she hated to enter that place, to sit under Rin's cold glare as she made sure that everything in the Sohma family was in order. That thought sent shivers down the confident teenager's spine as she quickly left the porch of the detested building behind her and came upon the group that gathered at the gates though she didn't stop much longer than a moment as she called to the others who would be attending school with her.

"See you at school!"

She kept walking as she half-turned to shoot a cheerful smile and wave at the others before continuing on to attend classes. This was just how Yoshino was; confident, cool yet kind, and determined to always be on time. Sure, she didn't like being alone but being late certainly trumped that any day.

When Yoshino said yes to taking his art, Kenji smiled. Someone else appreciated his work and almost understood him. He tugged at his shirt and let out a small chuckle, this girl, a Sohma had actually spoken to him the class clown. Most people would not bother, or have chucked away his notepad, but she came all this way to hand it back.

"It's almost noon and I was thinking of going home for lunch... would you care to join me?"

He let out a huge breath and fell back on himself a little. She had invited him to lunch, when he would usually just eat alone. He pondered saying no, he did not want to intrude on her since she had gone out of her own way to return his notepad. Kenji also thought about the fact that other Sohma's would be there, that large house near his home always creeped him out, especially the dark haired female he often saw staring from the window. Something was telling him not get involved with such a secret family.

' I would love to come!' He blurted out before he could stop himself... his cheeks began to flush red.
He had actually planned to say no, but something made him say yes. It may have been her awkward way of asking him, or her deep red eyes... he just couldn't tell.

“But are you sure you aren’t mistaking the monkey for the chicken?” Those words vibrated through her mind as she considered them. What did she mean? 'Maybe she didnt get the point' However the way she voiced those words- it couldnt just mean nothing. 'She's defiantly picking on me.. but what..'
"Ah its Kohaku-Kun!" He blinks and turns his attention towards a pair of girls, who were maybe a year below him. Not sure on how to respond, he allowed his manors to take course.
"Good morning.." They both sqeaked shyly.
A boyish smile pulled at his lips and he nodded a polite greeting. "Good morning." resuming towards class, he heard the squeals of the two behind him. Oh how females react. Why though. Maybe it was because the sohmas were popular, both females and males alike for they all had their charms. However it was him [aka her] that was the only one who can be touched by females, which could be troublesome during valentimes.. He shuddered.
'so females squeal, kya, and blush- why?"- “But are you sure you aren’t mistaking the monkey for the chicken?” '....' His eyes widened in realization and his hand automactically covered his red cheeks . W-what, She thought that! What did he/she ever do to apply that! Not sure on how to feel, she inhaled quietly. Calm.. Smoothly, she regained composure, but couldnt help but fluster at the idea.
Did she like the ram?
-
Tatsou nodded. "Alright thank you, mhm..good bye." Closing his cell, he sighed. Turns out that one of the teaching roles at the school were open, and now he was officially a nurse and homeroom teacher supposedly. Really the one who picked up was stuttering and chit chatting the whole time, so he had no idea what he gotten into. "...damn.." Slipping out a cig, he tucked it between his lips and lit it. What was he going to do. He had no choice but to follow orders.
He did owe her after all. He was one of the reasons for her misery, and heartless person.
What could he do for her other then serve her///
Besides, he scoffed, this could be a good opportunity to relax.
-
Laid acrossed the floor, was a dump of fabric, or more specifically, Rin the head. With her dark hair pooled around her, she remained limp against the bamboo floors, her breath almost non existent...
The main house was empty. And It was so quiet. No zodiacs, and most of the maids were gone attending chours, even the birds stopped chirping. This was painful. They're was nothing to distract her from her suffering, and the bearings were even heavier.
"It hurts." She cried quietly, hoping for someone to come to her. No one. And she knew that from the start that no one was going to be for her. Not even the rat. Not even the family she gave her life for.
Oh well.. With an inwardly grimance, she closed her eyes and waited.
