Chiyo "Chi-Chi" Sohma

Animal Form

Zodiac Animal?

All that know about the Sohma family curse, would swear that Chiyo was practically destined for her chosen Zodiac; the always curious and always grinning monkey. As her sign says, Chiyo is an extensively outgoing person with many different curiosities about every little thing, often driving people crazy with her constant probing as she is fairly known to go on for hours upon no end. Curious she may be, simple-minded she most certainly is not. Despite asking questions galore, Chiyo catches onto the bare concept of things rather easily, its the gritty little details she's more interested in, such as; the sky is blue, but what makes it blue? Without knowing Chiyo, most people wouldn't guess that she was in all advanced placement classes at her high school, as she appreciates challenging and difficult works. To further entertain her rapid thirst for all things challenging, Chiyo enlists herself in many different programs and clubs to busy herself purposely, rarely having any time to be by herself as she is always about doing something.
Chiyo is very lovable towards almost everyone, even those she has not yet met or has for the first time, as she loves putting smiles on people's faces and make them laugh when they're about to cry. She's also extremely overprotective, sometimes getting herself into trouble because of how she will stick her neck out for almost anybody, having known to get into fist fights over said issues once or twice in the past. This also proves that she can be rather bull-headed at times, and doesn't give up on her ideals unless she has a sudden change of perspective.

Brief Description
Chi-Chi has red hair that goes down some ways between her upper and middle back, which is almost always tied or put up in a different assortment of simple and sometimes extravagant hairstyles, as she says her hair is far too bothersome to wear down all the time due to its apparent "poofiness". She has dark brown eyes and very faintly tinted skin, a commonly dominant trait amongst members of her family. She's almost about 5'8", and weighs around 110 lbs with a lithe yet lanky build to her small frame.

As said before, Chiyo likes to busy herself purposely with many other things to do, like her school's different athletic teams and after school clubs in an effort towards seeing how far she can push herself till she can take no more. Due to this borderline obsessive trait, Chiyo's supplied herself with a good many skills to pick and choose from, however believes she excels more at her gymnastics the most. Taking classes ever since she was eight years old, Chiyo has a deep love for the sport as she greatly enjoys swinging from the bars, doing five flips in one go and just being able to have that kind of flexibility to do those things makes Chiyo strangely content. That's why it has become almost routine for her to do warm-up stretches or perform cartwheels in her front yard when shes angry or sad. Chiyo also enjoys playing the piano, something people wouldn't normally expect out of her since it requires staying still, but when shes in the moment, Chiyo can play for hours almost or until she thumbs start to get sore.

- Brain teasers, tongue twisters, riddles, puzzles, basically anything challenging to the mind
- Hiking, biking, swimming, running, or anything physically active
- Hot tea (Started drinking when she went through a sophistication phase in middle school, can now drink nothing else)
- Annual festivals (Fall ones, especially)
- Scarves (Likes how versatile they are and how useful too, she actually joined the school's knitting club just so she could make scarves)
- Plums (Enjoys the diversity between the sour and sweetness of the fruit)
- Reading (When she has time between everything else)

- Coffee (The taste only, she likes the smell)
- Cold foods (They make her teeth ache)
- Birds ("They're plotting something all perched up on that rooftop, I know it!")
- Bullies and snobs ("What did you say about her?!")
- Simple problems ("Problems are meant to challenge you, not bore you!")
- Foreign languages (One of the things that she struggles most with)

- Diseases (Her family branch is known mostly for its poor health issues being passed on through generations)
- Rejection (Was rejected brutally by someone she loved during middle school)
- Closed spaces (Especially closed, dark spaces)
- Dying (If she can't put rhyme or reason to it, she's afraid of it)
- Her mother

Being born into the great Sohma family, her parents expected something more for her as any other parent wishes for their child, to become successful and live long. But, Chiyo's parents wanted far more than just their daughter's success and happiness, they wanted Chiyo to be the Jade Emperor, the "God" of the Zodiac. They thought having Chiyo bear the title of "God" would grant some means of importance towards their family branch, and would raise them higher above the head branch who had previously spawned the first "God". However, the very first time Shoji Sohma held his newborn daughter in his arms and lovingly looked down upon her round little face, a big puff of smoke quickly filled the room. When the smoke cleared out and everyone collected themselves from the sudden shock, Kotone Sohma cried out in utter horror. Chiyo's plump little body was suddenly replaced with a thinly haired monkey that silently looked up at its father with wide, brown eyes and tiny pink hands that reached for him. Chiyo had the family curse, but not the right one.
Chiyo's father didn't stay very long after that, and left Kotone behind with their newborn mistake to unknown location, he never returned. Emotionally distraught and without having the man himself around to get all her inner anger out on, she turned toward the only sensible scapegoat she had left; Chiyo. During infancy, Kotone rarely visited her daughter's chambers, utilizing nannies and such to look after Chiyo's well-being as she spent her years bitter and alone. It wasn't until "God" was finally announced, that the beating and the shouting started for young Chiyo. Kotone would practically torture Chiyo with some of her known fears, like with closed spaces. Kotone would force Chiyo into one of the home's many closets for hours upon end, sometimes leaving her there until the end of the day when she's missed breakfast, lunch and dinner, then denies her food when she asks for it. When Chiyo grew older, the abuse wasn't as bad, but things were still tense between Kotone and her daughter. She now resorted more to emotional abuses, telling her that she was all alone because Chiyo wasn't "God", and that her father couldn't bear the shame of her birth gave them. However abusive or cruel, Chiyo modeled herself after everything Kotone wasn't, making her the better person in the end but still a prisoner within her own house. Chiyo hopes that one day, she will be able to find someone who loves everything about her, and won't care about some stupid family curse.

Who is their parents?
Kotone and Shoji Sohma, from the higher branches of the Sohma family. Neither parents accepted what she was, because she had not been born into the Jade Emperor, "God".

"Whaa? I have no idea what you're talking about~!" (TBA)

What do they desire most?
- To live free from her mother's constant abuses
- To be a famous gymnast
- For the Sohma family curse to be broken
- To embrace someone

"There's a snake in my boot!"

Sharada (She's Just Oblivious)
Once upon a time there was a girl
You wouldn't really call her typical
Had her own definition of cool
She lived in her own world
She had her own style her own rules
She played along like it was usual
Nobody really even knew her name
To her life was one big game

She's got her head in the clouds
Sharada, Sharada
Don't know when she'll come down
Sharada, Sharada
She can't get to bed
Sharada, Sharada
She's got this song stuck in her head
(her head, her head, song stuck in her head)

Dreaming all day
That's all she did
Ever since she was a little kid
All the teacher's thought that she was slow
She was just dreaming 'bout her show
And when they told her she's delirious
She didn't even care
She's just oblivious
She likes to make everyone curious
One day she's gonna be famous

She got her head up in the clouds
Sharada, Sharada
Don't know when she'll come down
Sharada, Sharada
She can't get to bed
Sharada, Sharada
She's got this song stuck in her head
(her head, her head, she's got this song stuck in her head)

She got her head up in the clouds
Sharada, Sharada
Don't know when she'll come down
Sharada, Sharada
She can't get to bed
Sharada, Sharada
She's got this song stuck in her head
(her head, her head)

She got her head in the clouds
Sharada, Sharada
Don't know when she'll come down
Sharada, Sharada
She can't get to bed
Sharada, Sharada
She's got this song stuck in her head
(her head, her head, her head, her head, her head)
