The wind was blowing through the trees, as the moon was shining down upon the house. All the Sohma's where gathered in the same area, for the first time in a year. Yami was at the Head of the table, watching the others talk softly to one another. He could see some who were to afraid to be even near him,so they were trying to distract themselves by playing with their food. Another group would talk among themselves quietly. The others didn't mind all that much of his presence and eat their food. There was a knock at the door, which surprised everyone even Yami. He had told all the servants to not enter the room, no matter what. He cased his eyes coldly on the maid who walked in, looking as pale and horrified as humanly possible.

"Didn't I tell everyone in the house, not to enter? Why are you here"? Yami said this in such a way the maid stopped half way, to afraid to come any closer. This annoyed Yami, for he couldn't stand seeing her just stand there. He raised his hand and beckoned her to him. She walked quietly, passing the other family members, who seemed to not even know of her existence. As she stood beside him, she had her head down, not daring to look up at him, without permission.

"Tell me what you want. It better be a good reason as well, or you know what will happen". At the thought the maid shivered noticeably at Yami. She stumbled on her words making them unclear and inaudible. Yami became annoyed and started tapping on his glass loudly.

"Are you some kind of mute child? What is it! Tell me, before I cut off your tongue"! She jumped back and this time looked up at him.

She looked around once than moved toward his ear, softly whispering to him. Yami nodded slowly and shooed her away. She ran at the signal, leaving the room immediately without even looking back. Yami sighed softly and stood up from the table. This had caused everyone to turn and face him in curiosity.

"This event is dismissed. You all may leave". He said this in a flat tone and walked out the room without a single good-bye.

It had been a cold walk to the main Sohma estate. Though Nani could drive she decided to walk with Yoshino to the family meeting.

The meal had been the same as always. Nani was absolutely terrified of Yami, of his every movement and word. She occasionally grabbed for her younger sisters hand under the table and glanced at Ateryu from time to time to keep her calm. Yet there was something soothing about being among the other Zodiacs, it felt safe and 'normal' to be around those you did not have to hide from.

Nani managed to stay calm throughout the meeting, after all she had people who she loved to keep her mind balanced. However, she became incredibly uneasy when Yami made an example out of one of the maids. It was not in her personality to be nervous of frightened in fact she was rather blunt but it was just a control Yami had over her ever since that day.
After the charade of bullying the maid all the zodiacs were dismissed and Nani was the first out of the door to the street. Though she did wait for the others just outside the main gate.
' He is such a bastard...' she muttered before exhaling out a long breath.

Image

It was the same as every morning, apart from the fresh snow that lay on the ground. Kenji could smell burnt toast as he looked out of his window at the large Sohma estate.
A wet nose nudged his hand, Simone the family dog was ready to be let out back. He pushed open his bedroom door and the fawn coloured dog scampered into the sitting room to play with Kenji's uncle.

Kenji grabbed a towel, took a shower and began to put on his school uniform. It was the same average morning he had every day.

' Kenji I'm making toast do you want any?' his uncle yelled from the kitchen.

Rather than reply Kenji walked from his own room to the Kitchen and took an apply from the fridge and indicated that he would rather have that. His uncle tried to make small talk, it was often awkward between the two, having no real family connection they both often sat in silence.

' The Sohma family gathered again today... A whole bunch of them. They are such a funny family, don't you think?'

' I have to go to school Uncle, I will see you afterwards'. Kenji hated talking about the Sohma family, they were the talk of the school and now a topic with breakfast.

With that Kenji left the house passing the Sohma estate as he went, he saw a few people leaving. Whatever they had been up to was over.

Yoshino Sohma

The walk to the main Sohma estate, due to the early time, had been a rather chilly one. Her elder sister, Nani, had been talkative for the duration so it had been rather bearable. Well, the time had passed quickly anyway.

The meeting was as repetitive as ever. What with Yami seeming to strive for intimidation and disdain for the lot, the Head of the family wasn't doing a good job on making Yoshino's elder sister from becoming scared and grabbing her hand, which was a regular occurrence for these.

After being interrupted by the maid, an irritated Yami dismissed the family and sent them away. Of course, this didn't bother the pink haired young Sohma as, like any other normal day in February, had school to get to. Yoshino was one of the first to escape that room, swiftly but quietly stepping outside with the grace that befit the Tiger of the Zodiac. IT was no surprise to her that the first would be Nani.

Yoshino pulled her bag up on her shoulder and started off to school, leaving through the front gate. With a glance to the side, she noticed her other family members who were in high school getting a ride from another Sohma; Ichirou. She knew she could have asked him for a ride to school but it wasn't something she typically liked to ask of others. It felt like too much to ask from someone, in her eyes anyway.

With this in mind the pale girl continued walking past a few others and to the road, the Sohma noticed another in her school's uniform as he obviously was on his way to school. She watched him for a few moments before shifting her gaze to the ground and consider him.

His name was Kenji Hima and he was a known slacker and the current class clown. Yoshino tilted her head as she raised her red eyes to the street, purposefully avoiding looking at Kenji, as thoughts raced through her mind. I didn't know he lived near us... She thought, not even stopping to wonder why'd she'd care enough to ponder this.

It was just one of those things that seemed to pop out at her, something to distract her from the meeting she had just left.

Ateryu often calmed Nani after one of the family meetings that was the great thing about having a woman near your own age. Nani snapped out of it and smiled.
' Thanks Ryu, you know I just hate him so much.'.

Nani noticed her friend smoking, it was a habit she hated often reminding her of her fathers cigars. Her mothering instinct wanted to tell Ateryu to stop but she never did.

It was at that moment Daisuke appeared, the Ram. Nani truly felt comfortable around him because before she left the family they had grown up together much like the younger zodiacs now.
' How have you been?' She asked him as she fumbled into a large black bag she had been carrying. She pulled out her phone just to drop her sister a quick text.

Yoshi I forgot to make your lunch... home for dinner?

As she send the text she was zoning in and out of the conversation. "Hey I'm up for anything. I have no plans today, Nani do you have plans?".

Nani had to think a little, often she would clean up the house alongside Taiga, however she did need some food to make her sister and Taiga's dinner.

'Well I was going to head into the market to get some ingredients for dinner, your both welcome to come I'm sure Taiga wont mind'.

The snow crunched under Kenji's feet. It was cold but he loved it because it reminded him of English weather.

As Kenji basked in the winter sun he fumbled in his pocket to find a pen. Often his inspation for art hit him at strange moments and this was one if them. He brushed some snow from a garden wall and placed his bag onto it. He pulled out a blue book and opened it. Picking his bag back up Kenji began walking and drawing down the street.
He began sketching a tiger in the snow
Image

It only took him a few minuted before he pushed the book into the bag on his back, not realizing it had fallen into the snow behind him.

Yoshino Sohma

Yoshino heard the short beeping of her cellphone letting her know she had received a new mail and quickly pulled it from her jacket pocket. She flipped it open long enough to scan the message from her sister and type her own reply.

I'll be there.

She released a sigh as she shut her phone, rolling her eyes as she put it away. It wasn't that her sister annoyed her, it definitely wasn't that, but she behaved as though she were Yoshi's mother away from home. As they were biological sisters, Nani could be quite overprotective at times and typically made the pink haired girl a lunch for school every day. She was that dedicated to making the younger girl feel welcome and happy.

It was exactly with this thought in mind that she'd sent her short but to-the-point text. It didn't let her sister down and promised that she'd be present, something that didn't change up much. Yoshino often put her sister's feelings before her own, after all.

She raised her head and looked around, not having realized she had paused just to read and reply to the message, and continued on her way. Yoshino crossed the street as the turn to school was coming up but almost stepped on a book.

"What...?" She asked as she turned her head around to search the general area but Kenji was nowhere in sight. She'd seen this book in his possession quite regularly since she'd been in the same class as him for quite some time now. For the second time in the last few minutes, Yoshino sighed as she bent and picked the book up before looking at her watch.

"I'm late?!"

This irritated her as she placed the book in her bag and, gripping the bag tightly in her hand, sprinted the rest of the way to school. Having grown up learning that tardiness was extremely impolite, Yoshino was the type to absolutely hate being late. Which might be why she only bowed and nodded to the teacher as she entered the room before she found her regular seat near the back and beside the windows. She ignored her family members, as she often did at school, mainly due to her frustration with herself.

Nani nodded in agreement about the cafe, though she had to be back home to make lunch for Yoshi, a cake at the cafe wouldn't hurt.
Nani smiled at the two younger girls that joined them but her mother Hen vibe began to shine through.
' Yimmie I would prefer you went to school, it's not wise to be skipping or listening to Daisuke' she scowled at him as she spoke but then smiled briefly.
She engaged in general chit chat with Ateryu on the way, mostly about work and life. They had been friends for a while now and Nani could always knew she could trust her though Nani did trust easily unless it came to her sister.

As they entered the cafe Nani noticed Rei and smiled at her taking the seat that was offered. She barely hadtime to breathe before Rei clambered to the floor. In all honestly Nani had not seen the accident and being quite conservative she did not want to be involved but Daisuke began to shout. Felling it her duty she gently stood up and placed a hand on his shoulder to let him know she would handle it. She gathered from the older gentleman's smile that it was he who had tripped Rei up.
'Try to calm down Ram...' she muttered before indicating for Ateryu to follow her.
She headed over the owner of the cafe ' Your staff member was tripped by a customer, if you would be so kind to make him apologize before my friend over there makes him with force'.
It wasn't a threat, but Nani liked things to be kept neat but she was also protective of people just like a mother her and Rei did not deserve to be bullied.

Kenji took his seat next to the pink haired Sohma. There were other Sohma's dotted around the room but they never seemed to acknowledge each other which always confused him.

Kenji went to unzip his bag to get out his work pad only to find the bag already open without his book in. He panicked a little and frantically began looking around his desk, causing himself to push his chair back and fall off it. He lay for about five seconds before jumping up to the sound of laughter
' I'm OK guys, just a little trip' he laughed nervously when his eye caught the teacher.

' You Young man are a trouble maker, sit back down before you embarrass yourself further' the teacher barked at him, this was a regular occurance for Kenji so it didn't bother him much, though he was worried about his sketchbook.

Yimme was still following the group as they walked into the cafe with everyone. But in the back of her head there was a voice that kept re-stating what Ninato said before.

" Yimmie I would prefer you went to school, it's not wise to be skipping or listening to Daisuke"

Yimme started to think that she was right. Why was she listening to Daisuke!? When has he ever done the right thing! When all of the commotion started to happen Yimme just watched from her seat. She couldn't stop getting the idea that something was happening important at school. But if she deiced to wimp out and go to school first of all she would get into trouble for being late and second of all she would never hear the end of it from Daisuke.

So when most everything was settle Yimme went up to Ninato and said "Ninato I think I am going to go to school you were right it's not wise to skip out." Then she ran out the door not looking at the others. Yimme was a good girl she didn't want to be a bad person she had to keep her innocence it was one of the last things she had.

After getting her moped and driving to the school she was defiantly late. She grabbed her bags and ran threw the front door and towards the class room. Yimme slowed down and stood out side the door for a second, she took a giant breath and open the door. The teacher instantly stared her down. "I'm sorry that I was late I have a good excuse!" The teacher just pointed to a open seat. Yimme in shame hung her head and walked towards the open seat and sat down ready to learn. She looked out the window and thought to her self. 'Maybe I should have stayed with the others...'

Ichirou Sohma

"You're on," was all Kishi said.

“Good! This is going to be fun,” Ichirou retorted. Silence then fell upon them as they ate, but to Ichirou it wasn’t one of those awkward ones. It was a nice one. Of course there was the chitter chatter of others around them, but it wasn’t horribly loud. Something about the low hum of voices calmed him. “I have a question,” Ichirou stopped momentarily. “Don’t you like being outside? I mean, not locked up all the time? I don’t really understand why Yami didn’t confine you after you graduated.” Ichirou’s voice was hushed to the point where only the two of them could hear. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you’re not â€Ļ but why so tense around everyone. People that don’t know about us aren’t going to look at you different, they don’t know you. I think you should get out more, make friends. Ya know, other than me,” Ichirou said with a smile.

It seemed as if Ichirou had no perception of what was okay to say around some and what wasn’t. If Kishi was getting upset at all, it was completely impossible for Ichirou to know. “Maybe Yami doesn’t want to confine you â€Ļ maybe someone else has caught his eye, maybe he wants someone else to be locked away forever.”

Keiko Sohma

Keiko noticed Yoshino walk in, but Yimme never appeared. She was at the meeting today â€Ļ she might have been skipping. The late bell rang, all calm, when a very tired looking Yimme appeared. Keiko wanted to say something, I’m glad you didn’t skip, or Happy you’re here, â€Ļ but something about talking to the other Sohma, besides Ichirou, just made her choke up. Then a thud came from somewhere in the back of the room. Everyone but Keiko looked back, considering the fact that she was taught to never take her eyes off the teacher if another student was disrupting. “I'm OK guys, just a little trip,” Kenjiko Hima said. It was her job to know everyone in her class and the other class reps. His voice was easy to identify.

“You Young man are a trouble maker, sit back down before you embarrass yourself further,” the teacher barked at him. It didn’t take long for the teacher to begin lecturing, and Keiko was trying hard to keep focused. There were just too many things buzzing around in her little head.

“Psst, Keiko,” Shou said. He sat directly beside her, so it was hard to ignore. “Keiko,” he whispered a little louder. She simple shook her head.

“Mister Shou, you really should be paying attention. If you have a question, ask me. Don’t bother the other students.” Mrs. Takahira shook her head and went on talking.

“Keiko,” Shou tried again. “Keiko!” Finally, she gave in and looked at him. “I love you.” Keiko’s eyes opened wide into a ‘seriously’ stare. With nothing to say, she looked back at the teacher. Something was telling her that was going to be a very long class.

Yoshino Sohma

Yoshino turned her head as Kenji came into the classroom, quickly finding his seat beside her own. Her red eyes were curious and, as a small smirk appeared to cross her lips, the Sohma quietly unzipped her own bag and placed her own notepad on her desk in front of her.

Yoshino hadn't counted on Kenji getting so worked up to the point he leaned back too far and knocked himself over, chair and all. A few giggles and chuckles could be heard and, typical of the male, he hopped back up to relieve the tension he was sure to feel. The teacher barked a few quick, angry-sounding words at Kenji before continuing.

Again, how typical of Kenjiko Hima, the class clown.

However, after Kenji's regular display of tomfoolery, the pink-haired young female bent over her desk and half-turned her head to look over at the boy. She considered his actions, past and present, as well as the little she knew of his personality. First hand, at that, so it definitely wasn't much. She didn't socialize very often with others.

He had dark eyes and hair, allowing him to blend in with the other Japanese students like herself rather easily. Although, he was abnormally tall, standing at least six feet tall. Minimum. As for his personality, all Yoshino knew was how problematic the teachers thought of him.

His 'amusing' antics and altogether decision to slack off in most classes had gained him quite the reputation that circulated around the school.

With a sigh, Yoshino considered this strange predicament. Here she was with the very reason her classmate had gotten in trouble, his sketch pad, in her bag beside her. But he was behaving ever so amusingly right now... She bit her lip as she rolled her red eyes, unimpressed that she had to speak to him, the one most likely to crack a joke, to give his book back.

"Kenji," she whispered, her voice quiet enough to not be heard by the teacher but loud enough for the boy beside her to clearly understand. Her pale hands quickly pulled the second bound book from her bag, the one that wasn't hers, and placed it on the desk with her hand hovering over it a moment before she slid it over. "Here."

She didn't bother to explain herself, nor say anything else, as she straightened and began taking notes as thought she'd been doing so all along. She hoped that was the end of it.. Though was curious about his skill and the drawings that were on those sheets of paper. A sigh escaped her as she glanced over at him, trying to be subtle while regretting losing a chance to take a peek at the sketches.

Hmm, maybe if she asked him.. He might let her see? No.. Of course not, she wouldn't dare ask.

With this in mind, Yoshino returned her gaze to the front of the classroom and willed the day to go by faster.

Nani didn't seem to be getting through to anyone at the cafe, the manager was not willing to listen and Daisuke was getting angry shouting at Nani to sit down.

Checking her watch she realised the time, if she wanted to make it back home in time to help Taiga with the house she was going to have to leave for the market.

'Ateryu are you staying? I'm going to head off, this coffee break has turned into a lot more than a short break... I'll catch you later Daisuke, I really need to get shopping feel free to pop round later.'

With that Nani left the cafe into the winter sun. She pulled a small white wool hat from her bag and placed it onto her pink hair, she also pulled out her purse. The cafe was only a few doors up from the market, she could smell fresh fish as soon as she entered. She got the usual fish, meat and cleaning products and took the items to the till.

((Small time skip here to the shrine))

Nani entered the shrine
' Hello Taiga... I have the shopping' she yelled before placing the food and product on the kitchen floor.

Kenji tried to focus but he couldn't. School was not his forte and he had lost his drawing book. He kept looking into the back of peoples head and staring endlessly. He could see people whispering infront of him, mainly boys trying to grab Keiko Sohma's attention. The same as always....

He placed his head onto the desk and brushed his hand through his dark hair. How had he managed to lose his book, it was the only precious thing in his life other than Simone and his Grandmother.

His mind began to drift until he heard a whisper
here...

It was Yoshino Sohma, a pink haired girl who was rather pretty handing over his sketch book. He took it without hesitation, grinning like an idiot to show how much he appreciated what she had just done. He opened it to the last sketch in his book, it was a rough drawing which he ripped out and write 'Thank-you' on the bottom of handing it to the girl next to him.

'Are you passing notes Kenji.... stop disturbing people and get out of my class'
Crap... he had been caught out, again making a fool of himself.
He stood up and left the class.

Yoshino Sohma

Yoshino immediately felt guilt course through her body as Kenji obeyed the teacher, leaving the class so as to avoid disrupting it once more. The pink haired girl watched him go with reserved red eyes before she sighed and quietly packed her notepad, glancing to the teacher as the door shut.

"Takahiro-sensei?" The Sohma murmured softly, her pale skin tone making this act easier for her as she cleared her throat. "I don't feel very well..." Truthfully, she felt nauseous. Yoshino had never been one to handle the feeling of guilt very well and it was, quite literally, making her feel horrible inside. Takahiro-sensei, after a few moments, nodded and motioned to the girl to leave. "Go see the nurse or call someone to come get you," she muttered before turning back to her notes and continuing the lesson.

Yoshino was silent as she grabbed her bag and walked out of the classroom, shooting a glance to the Rat and Rabbit of the Zodiac as she closed the door behind herself. Keiko was the Head of the Sohma family's pet, so to speak, and Yimme was a kind but emotional girl; however, she hoped that both Sohma's wouldn't bring her sudden 'illness' up later.

With this in mind, the pale skinned girl made her way down the hall and out into the chilly weather as she headed toward her favourite tree. It was an old withered sakura tree and rested on the outer parts of the field where many students often had their lunch. Speaking of students... Yoshino could see someone already there and her guess turned out to be right on the mark as she came upon Kenjiko Hima.

He was sitting comfortably against the trunk of the tree, his body hiding from the biting wind that called restlessly. He held his sketchbook in one hand, the other holding a pencil which lightly brushed the page and transformed it from a blank slate to a progressive piece of art.

"May I sit with you?" Yoshino spoke up, her voice filling a soundless break the wind had taken. Without even waiting for the male's response, the female seated herself in a way that was decent and respectable. After all, she had her school uniform on. Stupid skirts.

She tilted her head to watch Kenji's hand fly over the paper but he had stopped and, instead, raised her red-eyed gaze to meet his. "What are you drawing, Hma-san?" The teenager asked softly, her eyes the only part of her expression that appeared even slightly closed off; a typical sight when it came to the Sohma.

"You seem to be fascinated by tigers," the Sohma mused aloud, her red eyed gaze displaying her curiousity as she put her bag down so Kenji could pass his art book to her. She casually flipped through the pages, noting how in-depth the male had gone with the attention to detail. "And they're rather good drawings too," Yoshino added, pausing on one sketch momentarily with an amused expression.

"Who is this?" The girl murmured softly, her eyes soft as she turned the book so Kenji could see what she was talking about. One of her pale fingers pointed to the image that was depicted in bright, cheerful colours. The woman was older but dressed nicely, her hair up and away from her face. Her expression wasn't clearly visible as she was half turned away, seemingly enjoying the sunset in the background.

Putting two and two together, Yoshino mumbled, "Your grandmother, right?" She smiled sweetly as she studied the piece for another moment before gently placing the book back in Kenji's hands, still open. "You shouldn't deny your talent," the pink-haired teenager added, looking over to the male with encouragement. "I mean, not everyone can draw, can they? Take myself, for example. I can't draw."

Yoshino winked at the boy, even though she fully knew she actually couldn't draw. Stick figures and simple geometry didn't count, after all. No, singing was definitely more her forte.

Nani delicately placed milk and sugar onto the table whilst waiting for the kettle to whistle. She had gotten out five little red cups which had been a gift from Ateryu last Christmas and placed them onto little red place mats. It was one thing Nani couldn't fault her friend for, she had excellent taste in cups. Nani chuckled to herself as the Kettle gave out a high pitched whistle.

Since Nani like things to be clean she placed the hot water into a large white teapot which meant everyone could have more than one cup. She then placed the hot and heavy pot onto a large floral tray to avoid marking the table.

Nani sat next to Ateryu naturally just as Toushi entered, he looked like he was struggling to see.
' Toushi why don't you sit next to Taiga... and don't worry about the rest of your work'
In any usual circumstance Nani would have let him sit anywhere but since he could not see it was better to have him sit next to Taiga in case he fell onto one of the girls.

'Uhm yeah, I do like tigers..they are majestic and graceful but solitary a bit like myself'

Kenji hadn't meant to compare himself to a lonely animal but something about this girl made him want to talk about his life. She seemed interested in his art yet this was the first time in all of his years of education that she had spoken to him. Why today? Why now?

As Yoshino began to ask about his Grandmother Kenji Smiled. He loved her dearly and missed her.
' It is my Granny, I was meant to send her this for her birthday but my uncle wouldn't pay the air mail for a 'Silly Picture in a frame'' Kenji put on a mocking tone, but it was clear to see he was upset though he didn't want to bring the mood down ... he quickly changed the subject.
' Looks like I am going to end up failing if I keep getting kicked out... Why did you follow me, your a perfect student?'

The girl was shocked at Kenji's words. He had stated the exact personality of a tiger, of she who was the tiger of the Sohma family zodiac curse, in less than a sentence. His simply put words had stunned her to silence and Yoshino, who hadn't allowed her expression to change, chose this moment to raise her eyebrow in interest. "I'm impressed, you do know tigers rather well after all."

Despite her kind words and tone, the female berated herself for how stupid she was to continue speaking on the topic she shouldn't. Tigers were usually a no-no with Yoshino as she feared giving away the family secret, even by accident. If the individual understood her mistake and the meaning behind it, big trouble would fall upon the Sohma's...

That was why the pink haired girl tended to stray away from making friends or conversing with fellow students.

With this thought in mind, she tilted her head and smiled encouragingly as Kenji continued speaking of his grandmother and the harsh manner in which he'd been treated by his uncle. It wasn't for lack of interest but the relief within her felt as though an enormous weight had been lifted. She hadn't given the secret away.

Her eyes widened to reveal surprised red irises, curiousity and confusion evident within their depths as she crinkled her nose in thought. "I could help tutor you, if you want?" Yoshino mused aloud, quickly adding "if you need, of course." She hadn't meant to come across as superior or more intelligent but, somehow, she felt that was how she had sounded.

Oh, goodness. As Kenji's words fully sank in, Yoshino realized he had commented on her own achievements as a student. She shrugged as she made sure to look directly at Kenji, "I know you can do better and I want to help you with that." Expression thoughtful, her tone audibly serious, she continued; "If you don't want help, that's fine. I just thought I'd offer anyway."

With a soft sigh, the Sohma pulled out her cellphone to check for any texts as she often kept the device on silent so as to not disrupt class, among other things. However, she was unsurprised to find that there was no new messages. She only ended up returning the electronic to her pocket after she sent a quick message to her sister.

I left class, could I come home early?

Yoshino was nothing if not completely honest with her sister, regardless of what was right and wrong. She assumed her sister wouldn't approve, of course, but Nami wasn't her parent and she was quite aware of this. Nami also knew that Yoshino typically had a reason behind her actions and never did anything too spontaneous. Or she hadn't in the past.

Shoving this thought to the back of her mind, the pink haired Sohma chose to turn her head to glance around the pair. She seemed to grow more cheerful as she realize that the sun was brighter now as well as a bit higher in the sky. Yoshino smiled at this as she raised an arm to shade her eyes, finally noticing the temperature had risen slightly. She'd been so absorbed in conversing with Kenji that, for once, she hadn't paid much attention to anything else.

Yet another first for the girl.

Today appeared to be a day of first's for her, she noticed, as she turned her gaze back to the dark haired male. Despite her truthful assurance to Kenji about how she wanted to help him... Yoshino wasn't quite sure why he interested her besides their shared fascination with tigers, that is. If it could be called that, especially on her part.

The pink haired teen felt confused about the whole situation, even as her expression betrayed none of her insecurities. In fact, confusion may not have been the correct word she needed.. Perplexed, however, seemed to hit the mark like a bullseye.

As the conversation began to flow Nani sipped her tea. She often listened to to others rather than speak herself.
She felt a small vibration in her pocket.

It wasn't often that anyone other than Yoshiro Texted her and she expected it would be her younger sister.
I left class, could I come home early?
Nani scanned the text a few times before typing the reply Are you feeling ok? Come home ...
It was not like Yoshi to come home from school, so naturally Nani panicked. She decided to discuss the matter with Taiga whilst Ryu And Toushi spoke.

She walked over to where he was cooking and told him Yoshi's plans. Though Nani had been living with Taiga for a while, she often ran things by him as it was his home after all.

She would always be grateful he opened his home up to her after she dissapeared. Taiga was one of the kindest in her family and Nani admired him for that, he was the closest male to her after 'him'.

He sat and stared at her red eyes as she offered to help ....

Kenji couldn't believe that he was so lucky to have a beautiful girl offering to help him learn.
'I would pay a lot more attention if you were teaching me....' he clasped his hands over his mouth.. he had not meant to say it.

I am incredibly sorry Yoshi-San, please forgive me for being rude towards you'.

Yoshino heard a soft beep, the notification coming from her cellphone, and she broke the eye contact with a small smile. "Gomen, it's probably my older sister," she offered for explanation. A pale hand swept the device out of her pocket and flipped it open, her eyes darting to the screen to read the message from her elder sister.

Her words sounded worried and, knowing Ninato, the pink haired girl was sure she was stressing that the student was ill or something.

Don't worry Nani, Yoshino typed slowly as she listened to Kenji speak. His words, however, surprised her enough to not finish her current text as she shifted her red-eyed gaze from cellphone screen to the male sitting in front of her. He'd mentioned how he would be more attentive if she were the one to instruct him and, to be honest, it had completely taken the female off-guard. Clearly Kenji had felt just as surprised at himself as he clapped a hand over his mouth, eyes wide in shock, before quickly stating his apology.

Outwardly, she only hesitated slightly, just a momentary pause, before she quickly sent off her message and put her phone out of sight to focus on the conversation at hand.

"It's fine," Yoshino murmured with a kind smile, not understanding the male's, now, confirmed interest in her. She tilted her head as she spoke, studying the male for a few additional moments before continuing. "You just surprised me, that's all, Hima-san." The female paused and bit her lip as she remained formal, calling the male by surname due to her lack of knowledge of his preference. She didn't mind him calling her by name as she felt comfortable enough with him but she wasn't sure what she was supposed to call him.

Ah, how confusing conversing with others could be..

Nani smiled softly at Taiga before following him to the table. He always prepared lunch for her, most of the time it was just the two of them but on occasion Ryu and Toushi would join them but never at the same time.
It was nice to watch Ateryu getting on with others, Nani often thought of her as a sister than just a cousin and always liked to see her happy. Plus she knew she could trust this boy since he was a friend of Taiga's.

' Grab some food Ryu I am just going to see if I can see Yoshi coming home yet'

Kenji couldn't help but blush, not only had he embarrassed himself but she was calling him Hima-San....

Since he spent some time in the Uk, Honorifics didn't really appeal to him. He much preferred the English way.
' You can call me ... Kenji' He spluttered ' If you like that is'

It was strange to think that only 24 hours ago he knew nothing about the pink haired Sohma girl... yet somehow he had became, well friends with her. She seemed so lonely in class, as far as Kenji could remember she rarely spoke to others and kept to herself. It was almost like the living embodyment of how Kenji felt inside.

' What would you like me to call you.... Unless you don't want to be friends?'

"Alright then.. Kenji...-san."

Yoshino's voice was hesitant on dropping honorifics, it was an area unknown to her and one she felt extremely uncomfortable with. Either way, she sped on without more difficulty. "You may call me Yoshino or Yoshi," she added, raising her head to show that she truly didn't mind. "It's okay if you don't like honorifics but, if you don't mind, I'd like to continue using them when I speak to you." Her smile showed minimum discomfort but she knew Kenji would pick up on it, despite it not being very visible.

She pulled out her cellphone and shot off a quick text, feeling a bit rude for whipping it out in front of Kenji, yet again, but knowing it was necessary. Nani was most likely very worried about Yoshino, being the older sister she was, and would be waiting for her to arrive at the shrine any moment now. She owed it to her sister to inform her she would be a bit late for lunch, especially if the time she was looking at was correct.

I will be late, don't wait. Eat some lunch, please.

How well she knew her sister.. Tsk.

Slipping the device into her pocket, Yoshino slowly pulled herself up to stand and dusted off her rear and her legs. "I have to meet up with my family for lunch at our shrine now," the pink haired girl offered as a way of explanation, pulling a piece of paper and a pen out to scribble on. With a wink, the girl tucked the slip of paper with the writing on it into a pocket in Kenji's uniform jacket, dropping the pen back into her bag.

"My name and cellphone number, if you would like to talk or text," she murmured before giving a wave and stepping away. "I'll see you tomorrow, Kenji-san, and please stay out of trouble." Yoshi turned her head to shoot another wink in the male's direction before picking up her pace and practically skipping off, clearly in an excellent mood.

She felt like she'd over-stepped boundaries now. I mean, she'd reached out and tucked her number into his pocket! However, she did figure time was ticking by and she had lunch to go eat with her family. OH!

Yoshino stopped and half-turned to look back at the male not too far behind her. She didn't even stop to contemplate her next actions as she called to the male, trying not to think about what her family members would think to see her with a regular human.. A male, at that.

"Kenji!" She dropped the honorific as she rushed to get the words out, "Would you like to come eat lunch with my family and I? It's up to you," Yoshi added before slowly turning back and continuing on her way, listening for footsteps in case he should want to join her.
