Akimi raised an eyebrow.
"Not just some random stranger, huh? Well, s'cuse me, but I've never met you so unless you've been stalking me or something, I am just a random stranger." she narrowed her eyes when he complimented her, but didn't say anything.
When he said that she didn't have to worry about hurting him, a dark smile found its way to her face.
"Don't have to worry 'bout hurting you? Don't make me laugh. A knife to the heart will kill you just as sure as it would kill any other normal human, tricks or no tricks." She stiffened when he asked if she had a home.
"No," she spoke through clenched teeth,
"not anymore." She turned to look at the street as she heard the squeal of tires and saw the black van pulling up. As she heard the first bang of a gunshot echoing in the clear night air Akimi spun on her heel back to look at Jason before she shoved him to the ground.
"Stay!" a bullet whizzed by Akimi's arm and a second bang rang out.
This time it didn't miss. Akimi fell to her knees, an arm pressed against her stomach. Somewhere nearby, someone yelled. A person clad in all black rushed from the bushes, a knife glinting menacingly in his hand as he came towards Jason and Akimi.
"Crap!" Akimi's eyes had been shut, focusing on using her powers to remove the bullet so that she could heal properly, but as the person came rushing at them she gave up on that and forced her arm to change, making it more of a kitchen knife than an arm. However, in her now-weakened state her attempt at attacking the person was easily thwarted and the red haired girl was knocked back to the ground.
